    The location was excellent. The room and view were pretty nice. The restaurant was overpriced and dinner selection was disappointing. The breakfast buffet was not offered by the hostess nor waitress. We had to ask the second day to receive it as an option. The dinners we had were okay, but really not that great. Had better meals outside the hotel. The room came with a view of the Washington monument wgmhich was actually just a point showing behind another building which makes the promo for this higher priced room a bit exaggerated

    We stayed for Mother’s Day weekend and were greeted with roses. Staff is wonderful and knowledgeable. Spacious and clean rooms. Walking distance from all the good things. I highly recommend and will return!

    This hotel felt like a far cry from the luxury and amenities we expect at a JW Marriott. The king room was very small and the bathroom was comparable to a Courtyard Marriott. For the price we paid ($600 per night) we expected that every room would be outward facing the city, but no, our view was inward facing the other side of the hotel (no view whatsoever). The breakfast buffet was also subpar. For $27 per person we expected a lot more options--at least pancakes and waffles--but there were none. Pancakes had to be ordered from the menu for an additional charge. While the staff were very friendly and helpful, this hotel, for being a JW Marriott, was a disappointment.

    Location is fantastic, view from our room was terrible. Hotel is very luxurious on the exterior and entrance and staff match the elegance, room is average though and despite booking for 4, confirming we had 4 we kept only being given 3 towels and had to request extra each day which was abit frustrating. I also contacted the hotel several times prior to arrival to try and get details of the night monument tour that was included as part of the destination fee which we had paid and did not get any helpful information. As our time was limited we booked a tour effectively paying twice which is really disappointing. Having to pay twice for night monument tour Having to ask for extra towels when only the booked number of occupants stayed.

    Rooms were small but clean and functional. The property grounds were nice, although some of the upholstery in the restaurant was ripped and tattered. The monument view from the room was a big plus. The best thing about this property is the proximity to all of the attractions. This was right in the heart of DC, which was great for our family.

    The only way to get to your room is an elevator, the bank of elevators have only one panel to service the multiple people staying there. It is not an easy or intuitive system and then cutting its abilities in half was not a fun experience.

    Location. More expensive than Westin and Hyatt, not as nice rooms or facilities. Rooms were old, shower made high pitched screeching sound. The elevator was broken (all of them) for almost a day and had to use service elevators which would take minimum 20 minutes each direction. Told room was upgraded due to status, purchased another room for family which was lowest class and same size as upgraded room while also having a better view. Not going there again.

    Room was wonderful Could not access the menu for room service so no idea what the menu was. Very inconvenient! Front desk never offered to look up my Bonvoy account when I told her I wasn’t sure if I had one. For a high end hotel I would think this would be an automatic response but obviously not. Holiday inn express and all others do this for their loyalty programs.

    Resort fees should have resulted in a credit that was never applied. When I tried to call, it is almost impossible to reach a person in accounting. Marriott Bonvoy phone and web site make it very difficult to get resolved. There should be an easy way to reach a person.

    Internet was not free unless member of some club. That was the first time I’ve stayed anywhere without free basic internet for many years (including far more high-end hotels than this one). It’s unacceptable. It’s not the cost, it’s the greedy principle. You don’t charge for tap water, so don’t charge for internet. The bath/shower couldn’t drain water as fast as the shower provided it, so that the tub gradually filled during a shower. Seems like a simple plumbing issue that needs sorting out. Seems like the hotel spends money on a glamorous huge lobby but neglects several things more important to the traveller. On the up side, the staff were friendly and capable.

    The location can’t be beat. The room was large; there was a stain on the sheet but I didn’t notice until I pulled back the blanket to go to bed so I just let it go…however, at the price it shouldn’t have had a stain on the sheet. Lovely lobby and nice breakfast area.

    Friendly staff, clean room, breakfast buffet is $27 we’reAper adult $15 per child 12 and younger includes drink and coffee. The beds could use a better comforter it was too thin! And parking was $72 for large vehicle. We stayed during a weekend and found street parking for FREE. We didn’t move the car we just walked or rode to attractions. Example the White House is 6min away. National mall and others few minutes away. Guards on site so it is safe.

    The location was amazing. The issue I had is that there is a resort fee at this location and i was never told anything about what it offerred. The staff should have said there is a resort fee and told me what it includes. I thus paid for perks that I didn't use because the staff neglected to say anything like they are supposed to. I think the property should refund me this fee as i paid for someone that I didn't get to use because the staff didn't do their job.

    Property itself was great . The only think to consider when traveling here is whether or not you need a rental car . Parking is limited and it takes time to get your car from valet because they park your car offsite somewhere. We ended up catching Ubers most of the time .

    The hotel is located on a main road that allows for access to all major attractions including the White House, the Capitol Building, the Supreme Court etc. There are various restaurants in the area and overall, the hotel was quiet, staff is friendly and helpful.     The hotel is generally OK. The elevators can get a bit congested, but nothing horrible. My biggest complaint was awaking to loud hammering and drilling inside of the hotel at 5:15 am on the last morning of my stay. When I mentioned this to the rep when checking out, he really didn’t care. How can any hotel, let alone a JW, start doing this type of work at 5:15 am?? Totally unacceptable.

    Wonderful location, able to walk to all DC museums and monuments. Valet parking and bellhop’s were amazing. Honestly the best part of our stay. No safe in room. Used the lockbox at desk. Was then questioned for ID that was locked in the box. Good luck. Bar and restaurant were only fair. We left a day early.

    Room was clean, housekeeping staff was excellent. Front desk staff was often a bit rude which considering the cost to stay was not expected. Used the services provided such as valet parking but given the interactions would have preferred to do it myself. The bed was incredibly comfortable which redeemed things a bit. Only thing that was failed to mention would bet the construction or repairs that would happen at 8am each day in the floors above us.

    The building is beautiful. It’s well maintained and the cleaning staff did an excellent job. The phones and tv didn’t work and the first day the maintenance didn’t show up. The second day they worked on the tv but 20 minutes later it stopped working. But we weren’t there to talk on the phone or watch tv. Their room service food was awesome. Bagel cream cheese and lox was delicious. Its location is the prime advantage. It’s walking distance to just about everything and only a 15 minute ride to DCA. It’s a typical cost for parking valet in any big city, expensive. O
