Honestly the hotel itself was amazing but definitely not worth Al the undisclosed fees and rude staff

Bathroom had urine drips on the floor, took hours to address, was finally offered to change to another room.

Very clean and staff was very nice.

Everything was great at the property. My one issue was being forced to stream Netflix and Prime from my phone rather than being able to login on the in-room television.

It was an amazing weekend everything was perfect. Am agent had made a mistake and when we were checking in the person behind counter was great

I would never come here again. Waking up the first morning and caught a cockroach on the counter. Management was less than helpful with only wanting to switch our rooms and needing to see proof of the cockroach. Do not spend the money to come here.

The hotel is in a great location with multiple restaurants and sights within walking distance. The valet parking was seamless and well worth the cost. Every hotel employee we encountered was so kind and made us feel welcome.

The staff was wonderful the room was beautiful but the bed is too soft and the pillows if you need a soft bed and pillow you will sleeping on the bed for me because I have a bad and my 2 sisters who all 3 of us have had some kind bone issues also for the price I really think breakfast should be free we have never had to for breakfast at our regular hotel but Dc doesn’t have the hotel we normally stay at we were in town because my aunt passed and it was her funeral and I used to live there for 6 years the smoking area bench is small if they can put another one it would be helpful I really hope next time i come to DC I’m no longer smoking but overall the hotel is amazing

This hotel is amazing. If I were being picky the only feedback I would have is the bathroom doors in the room are hard to open and shut.

Nice location, nice place, Room was comfortable, though no microwave (communal one down the hall). The price on everything is just getting ridiculous. Had extra fees to pay when checking in. $5 for a bottle of soda. Getting tired of the cost of everything.

The gym was to die for, and the location was excellent. I have zero complaints even the front desk was excellent with customer service!! I needed pins for a dress and they were kind enough to bring them upstairs!

I enjoyed the room. It was clean and well stocked and very comfortable. The front desk people were all super friendly and welcoming. The valet guys were funny and helpful in pointing us in the right direction when we left the hotel to go anywhere. I think the service staff are used to a higher class of clientele. I don't dress fancy or super fashionable and I think that put off a lot of the service staff. We were straight up ignored at the bar and every single time we walked into the convenience store it was clear we were an inconvenience. If you are going to stay here for business, I'd recommend it. If you want a more...personable experience...I don't think I would. I want to be clear, the hotel is beautiful and the rooms are very nice. It was an experience.

Hotel lobby is impressive. Clean room. The bed was not the best, I went home aching, other than that, nice room and a fridge was included. Breakfast was good at the buffet, lots of healthy choices ( fruits). Dinner wasn't that great. We chose to go somewhere else the following day. Overall, it was a nice hotel and I would stay again. I came for a workshop that was at the hotel and it was convenient to stay there.

Pretty much everything was great except the fitness center pool area was freezing cold even though the pool was warm which dissuaded the kids from wanting to swim.

This hotel surpassed our expectations. The lobby is grand, breakfast buffet great, all of the staff we encountered friendly and helpful. The room was freshly updated on the top floor. We loved how the gym and indoor pool were in the same area, perfect for active families and supervision. We were able to get into our room four hours early rather than having to store our bags, which made everything really relaxed on our first day in DC. The location was great for an easy walk to the Capitol and the museums, longer walk to the Tidal Basin and monuments. We knew we wouldn't use the car, so we parked in a garage around the corner that was a very good daily rate. We will definitely recommend this spot to friends for future DC stays.

Family friendly! There was a great fitness center, perfect pool for a quick dip with kids, lobby store with everything you could need and a welcoming lobby restaurant and bar. Also, the valet staff was great, I checked bags to extend our day and even charged our electric vehicle. Best part of all was the location! Def stay here again!

We had an exceptional stay (this is not sponsored and I rarely write reviews but had to for this one!). We were able to check in early and the room was lovely and clean for myself, husband and our daughter. We made use of the gym and pool which were beautifully maintained and the gym was up there with one of my favourite hotel gyms (I travel a lot for work). My daughter had seen a picture of cookies and asked if they had any available and the staff were so helpful and baked her some fresh! We had the buffet breakfast included with our stay which was wonderful, lots of options and the service was very good, the hotel was also in a great location for seeing the major sights of DC and walking distance from great coffee, restaurants and attractions. Will definitely be visiting again! Special mention to Daryl on the front desk who made our stay so lovely.

eclectic-kettle my clothes were not delivered on time to my room as you promised and I had to go to the front desk to pick them back by myself but still I paid another USD 20 for destination fee——it's unreasonable.

Unaware site under construction. We checked in then left to attend concert then returned to find police barricading the roads to access hotel. My friend was starting to feel ill due to extreme heat and for her well-being we made the decision to go back to Virginia rather than wait on the unknown police event. I returned after midnight to retrieve our belongings from room that we ended up not staying in. It was an expensive disappointment.

The wait staff at your restaurant gave me a stained and already completed crossword puzzle kids menu. After that, there was a spill which was half cleaned up. The morning of the New Year, a maintenance staff member banged on my door at 8:22am wishing to change some part in my room completely disturbing my sleep.

And the front desk might want direct people to Union station , They have lots of food options..connivance stores.. drug store..ect I was told there was nothing around and the gift shop was pretty much it in the vicinity. Hotel should be really something when finished.

Even though the lobby was being renovated the whole experience was amazing, reception staff are a credit, they let us have late check in and gave us bottles of water and a few things for my daughter. The pool was great, modern and certainly one of the best I had for a hotel. Rooms were modern, clean and a massive tv. Breakfast was ok, preferred pancakes but when I asked for them they said they couldn’t do them. Sausages were overcooked and hard, for what we paid $74 I don’t think it was worth it. Overall though a great experience and would certainly come back.

Room was fine, although some of us left with bug bites that we think we got in the room. But the main thing we were disappointed in was the quality and price of breakfast. Staff at the restaurant were wonderful, food not so much. Would have been fine if it was free though.

Lobby is under construction, I didn't see that noted anywhere during the reservation process. Upon checkin, I was charged an additional $27 destination fee and parking was $57 for one night. Not the end of the world, but I would have liked to understand these when booking.

I went back up to get my additional pieces and check out. Unfortunately, I left the valet card upstairs. Checked out of the hotel which included that charge and showed him but was running late for my appointment. He consistently asked for the card or to view where I called for the car. The whole incident was useless and very annoying.

Amazing stay! Staff went above and beyond to make our stay wonderful.

Everything was great, would offer one small suggestion. In the renovated rooms there is one side of the bed with a small wooden ledge that is perfect for phone charging.....no room for a bottle of water or anything else to drink. Had to put my bottle on the floor....my wife's side of the bed at the nightstand.

Room not worth the price per night and the DC tourist tax. Especially, with the ongoing construction. Will not recommend nor stay there again.

It was good but the valet parking was advertised for $55 per day but with fees and taxes was $90 per day. They should say that in advance.

Loved the property and its proximity to the Capitol, the Mall and Metro stops. Was surprised when I got home for find I was charged a destination fee + tax of $23/day. I feel like that should be disclosed as part of the room rate. The daily parking rate is reported on the property’s website as $57/night but they don’t mention a parking tax of $10/night. Again, I expected the parking charge but not an almost 20% tax on that charge. Next time I want to visit the Nation’s Capital I think I’ll stay outside the city & use mass transit to travel in and out.

It was a convenient clean area and walkable. Don't order the chicken wings it tasted like they dont wash it.... no lemon juice no nothing was not a fan of the chicken wings

I think this was the first time I've ever called the chain to thank them for hiring the person who checked me in. I hadn't planned on staying in DC and was disheveled and had no overnight kit with me. The staff projected next-level empathy and really put me at ease after a very tough day. I'll definitely be back on a planned trip this time so my wife and I can experience this hotel on purpose. Amazing location and the 11th floor restaurant / bar is phenomenal as well.

I recently stayed at the Hyatt Regency Washington on Capitol Hill and while the location is excellent—very close to major attractions like the Capitol and Union Station—I believe there’s significant room for improvement in guest service. The front desk staff, while polite, seemed unprepared and inefficient in handling basic check-in and guest concerns. It’s important to remember that front desk service is not just a task—it represents the face and reputation of the Hyatt brand. Proper training and a customer-first attitude should be a priority. Guests expect professionalism and smooth service from a hotel of this caliber. The room itself was clean and comfortable, and the overall facilities were decent, but better front desk service would have made the stay much more satisfying. I hope management addresses this for future guests.

Location was good, but the hotel was under construction. Lots of noise all day and night not very pleasant. Have stayed there two other times. Will not stay there again.

This is a lovely hotel and a team so kind nand genuine. This was my first time here and I will stay again. There was construction but it is completely fine and there are only upgrades that make this all the height of luxury

In spite of the fact that we were a little worried when we learned that the hotel was under construction, we were very pleasantly surprised. The anticipated inconvenience was not existent. The doormen and receptionists were amazing and went above and beyond to make us feel welcome!

This is my Second stay with them. They are under construction in bar/lobby area otherwise all 5 star ratings!. Other than that i would book with that location again!

It is understandable that the hotel is under construction, but to have the workers start at 7am on a Saturday morning is unacceptable. The staff is clueless and make it difficult to get any information on what is available and how to get around this construction zone. None of tge ice machines work , they are all located in the construction area so impossible to get to anyways. Had to be my worst experience in dc after years of visiting.

The hotel did not post about the construction that would be happening until after I purchased the room and then they minimized what it would be. It was so loud that we had to scream at each other in the room to be heard. The elevator for my handicapped daughter was only available sometimes. The bathroom was set up poorly and made it hard for a family to be there.

Even though they are remodeling the room cleanliness was poor. Double queen, beds, or more like a twin bed

My family of 4 went on a 3 night trip to DC & truly loved this hotel. It was in a great location, we felt very safe walking around the area. The staff were all immediately very friendly and welcoming. We did have an issue with our AC being loud our first night but they sent someone to fix it within 30 minutes! The renovations did not bother us at all-we can’t wait to stay again when it is complete to see it finished. The only issue we had was the comfort of the beds-they were very hard which isn’t the end of the world but the pillows (even stacking 2-3) would go completely flat. This wouldn’t necessarily deter me from staying-I’d bring my own pillow though for sure. The restaurant is okay-the breakfast is great but the lunch/dinner I feel is a little overpriced for what it is but there is so much you can door dash!

Though the quoted rate was reasonable, adding all the charges brought up the price to normal price and because of the construction we couldn't enjoy the lobby area. Valet parking is very expensive at $57/night + taxes which they won't tell you. Breakfast was average.

Also rooms are very small but it is a city.

There was ongoing construction inside the hotel that started early in the morning and continued throughout the day, making it nearly impossible to rest or relax in my room. Unfortunately, there was no mention of this construction on the listing when I made the reservation. Had I known in advance, I would have chosen a different hotel. As a tourist visiting Washington, D.C. for only a few days, sleep and comfort were incredibly important to me—and this unexpected disruption seriously impacted my trip. I would appreciate it if you could look into this issue and consider offering a partial refund or credit for the inconvenience. Please let me know if you need any additional information from my end.

Great hotel

Renovations currently at hotel. A little loud & unsitely. The Staff was great & rooms were comfortable & clean. Store in hotel has a Starbucks which was convenient. Great view from hotel of the United States Capitol.

Under construction, not as advertised, used towels left in the bathroom, toilet not firmly affixed to the floor. Valay card said 10 minutes it took almost 30 minutes.

My son and I had a pleasant stay at the Hyatt Regency on Capitol Hill. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the hotel is located in a nice neighborhood. It’s a short walk to the Capitol, the Library of Congress, the Supreme Court, and the Botanic Garden. There is also a good restaurant on the premises, on the eleventh floor. The downside is that the hotel is currently undergoing renovations in the lobby.

Every thing was awesome.

The website did not mention the construction will be right above my room, with wall vibrating. It was a work trip and I had to do some work from the room which was impossible. The did mkt offer to change my room or offer a free drink, but they did send earplugs. Due to the timing I paid $475 a night fir a miserable stay.

The staff were all so friendly and the rims were clean. The location was excellent but the hotel was dated and definitely not worth almost $1400 for 3 nights!!!

Due to renovations the only restaurant was closed for eat in dinning. You could either order using room service or o dear by phone and pick up you Oder to eat in the room. Rather than a small table to eat at, there was a large desk which basically accommodated one person. The lobby area was extremely load, with all the gatherings taking place in the common area it sounded like a Casio.

Super over priced. No extras. Clean, safe, good location.

The mattress was very hard, and very uncomfortable. The pillows were well 1 was too thin, and 2 was too thick. I didn't sleep well not one single night. Was there for a conference and they didn't serve tea. They would put cans of pop out for lunch, along with water and coffee and that's it. Only water the rest of the day.
