    For a hotel built in 2016 they had a significant amount of maintenance and visible upkeep that needs to be addressed. A/C wasn't working and took them two days to move me to a lesser room. Smaller appliances and aged stained carpet. Rigged shower curtain bar. Paint peeling, wallpaper curling and one remote for two TV's. Laundry facilities were out of order. Staff constantly on their personal phones seem irritated when approached for anything. Hard pass on this brand when I return to Washington DC this fall. Don't believe the pictures. This place is warm and dated.

    The staff were borderline rude, they were certainly at least aloof and it was clear they weren’t interested in customer service. The breakfast was pretty poor - the bacon, sausage, and scrambled eggs didn’t taste good at all. Parking was not included in the hotel cost and it was cheaper to park across the street in the parking lot. But it was still $60 per day. The hotel also took $200 deposit per room in spite of me booking 2 rooms in 1 booking which meant them holding $400 of my money for 2 days.

    Nice staff. Excellent breakfast! I picked location because it was close to my daughter’s apartment. If I came back I’d like to be closer to the national mall.

    The room was great. It was in a great location. Really close to a grocery store. The entire staff was honestly great. I didn't ask for much, but when I did, it was handled with a smile. Love that! The only thing I didn't like was the breakfast. Somethings were cold. The variety was not very good. They had odd things for selections. Maybe just stick to the "staples" of breakfast. Overall, had a very good stay. Will plan to come again.

    The front desk staff was wonderful. The property really needs to be updated. It's not in very good condition. The air conditioning unit is very loud. The mattress was old and so was the furniture. The breakfast was not good. So I guess other than the front desk staff, I wouldn't recommend it.

    The location was good, you can walk to Union Station, Capitol Hill and National Mall and super convenient via Uber towards Georgetown. The staff was friendly. The breakfast was very satisfying, we enjoyed a lot with our two sons.

    After first full day of touring, returned to our room-TV would not turn on. Took clicker to desk-they will call maintenance who did not show. After a 2nd call-asking for batteries-maint. man put in new batteries-all fine. During the night, the fitted sheet kept coming up off corner & grabbed my foot. Had to try to fix it at 2am-woke up husband, but it kept happening. 90 degrees out-the Worst was Air conditioning also not working-reading 80 degrees when we set to 68. It was very warm in our room on the 9th floor. Husband tried every 2 hrs to turn it on-no luck. 2nd day we returned to room to find no housekeeping done, and room hot. After 2 calls to desk, female housekeeper who spoke no English arrived and she called maintenance. 2 men arrived-they first claimed the unit was off, but that was after the maid was trying to get it to work. Maint then claimed it fixed but suggested we turn off all lights and let it work -it would take a while he said. After three hours, room temp remained at 80 degrees and it still ignored our 68 degree setting. It never blew any cold air -we only had a ceiling fan with luke warm room air. A curtain was ripped, & headboard had shredded faux leather strings. Also, hotel did nothing to accommodate my reservation request due to ostomy medical condition.

    Convenient location, spacious room, small well equipped kitchen, fantastic shower. Included in price breakfast was plentiful and varied to cater for many tastes. There is a coin laundry available for the guests which was a very helpful addition for our long holiday. There is nothing we disliked

    The breakfasts had a wide variety of breakfast items and tasted great. There was one young man who worked during the week in the breakfast area that was wonderful. He was there to pick up plates and asked how everything was daily. We did not have a car there. The rooms need to be updated, carpets were old and stained and our bathroom sink continuously dripped. We told them about this, they said they put in a work order but continued wasting water.

    The place was a little hard to find but only took one trip around the block! The staff were all friendly. The room was clean but the water pressure was low. Breakfast was adequate for hotel breakfast. Nothing special. Expensive to park a car but that is what all DC hotels are.

    Stuff: helpful and nice. Breakfast: very limited options, plastic utensils. Room: needs serious repairs. Check-in: instead of 3 pm, had to wait more than 1 hour due to "wrong keys". "Hilton" in the name is highly misleading.

    Stayed here for a city break. Nearest metro is a few minutes walk and there is a Safeway supermarket opposite. The room was clean and spacious. Large fridge and cooking area. Large tv which had Netflix etc. only thing which might be an issue is the air con is very noisy but we didn’t need it at night as it’s not that warm in April. Breakfast was fine. Staff were all excellent and friendly and provided advice whenever we asked eg directions etc. a very good hotel and stay. Just wish there had been a bar in the hotel for a few drinks in the evening.

    The hotel was clean and comfortable. Anything missing in the room was brought immediately by the staff. The ice maker on our floor was unfortunately not working and the ice bucket also didn’t fit in the fridge so we had to venture to other floors for ice. They have a nice small gym for your use with bathrooms nearby it. The breakfast was included which is a plus, however, the selection wasn’t much - don't look for gourmet a you won’t have a problem. The hotel is about a 20 minute walk to the museums so for its price it is unbeatable. Valet parking was expensive but convenient as we drove to the city.

    The water coolers did not work which was frustrating since we were heading out to sightsee on an 80 degree day and brought our refillable bottles for this exact reason. The breakfast was satisfying and the location was great. I will certainly stay here again.

They switched our room however the room we switched to, the AC wasn't even working, the room stayed between 75-77 all day and night. The room had something on the one light fixture in the ceiling, and old water damage in the bathroom at the base of the door and wall near the shower. There was also some goop on the bathroom sink faucet from a failed repair attempt. Their parking garage can't even accommodate all of their guests when at capacity and had to find a paid parking lot instead near by. Breakfast was just okay. Wouldn't stay here again and losing faith in Homewood Hilton's as this is the second one I have stayed at recently and both were a disappointment.

    Our stay at Homewood Suites was wonderful. The staff was so friendly and helpful. We got there a few hours early and they stored our bags for us so we could go explore DC. They also gave us a map and drew out the best route to take to get to our planned event. During our stay, our remote for the TV wasn’t working and I easily put in a help request through the app. The maintenance staff was there within 10 minutes to fix it. There were many options for breakfast. I would definitely recommend Homewood Suites to a friend. I’m looking forward to going back.

    Very happy with the hotel. Staff was so kind and accommodating. It’s also a great location for walking to and from the touristy spots. Their daily breakfast came in very handy and an easy spot for uber/lyft pick up. Would come back again for how kind all of the staff were.

    The good: It was quiet and clean. Was in walking distance to great restaurants. Grocery store across the street was convenient. The bad: Mattress was sagging. Linen did not fit mattress; sheets rolling off corners all night long. Breakfast selection every other day seemed to be what was left over from something previously, one morning there were egg whites and pizza slices. Sausage was beyond dry. Coffee was luke warm at best. King size pillows; standard size pillow cases. I tried to get a refund to stay at another hotel and of course my stay was non-refundable. I would never say "don't stay here," In my opinion, it was just not worth the premium price that I paid. I would not stay again.

    I can not say enough great thing about this hotel, staff and accommodations. The staff was beyond friendly, our room was serviced everyday, the breakfast was great. It was one of the best hotel experiences we’ve had, and we’ve had a lot. It is close (within a mile) to everything you want to see while in DC. A safe area - we are a family of five with a 5, 10 and 12 year old and never felt not safe. There is a grocery store right across the street which was super convent!! Also, several great, reasonably priced restaurants within several feet of the hotel!

Only complaint is overall maintenance of the room - heat was not working first night, bathroom mirror light was not working, and shower made horrible vibrating sound when in use (some kind of water hammer in the valve). Room overall was nice, with lots of space.

    We had a wonderful stay at Homewood Suites. Staff accommodated early check-in. We were given a great suite on the 13th floor. Room was clean; great view of the city. Exceptional buffet breakfast was served every morning.

    The property is not the normal Hilton standards. When we arrived the temperature in our room was 75 degrees and there was an electric heater plugged in. We turned it off and tried to lower the temperature- no heat control in the room. Front desk said it was being reported to engineering. No air flow the rest of the weekend. Sheets did not fit the king size bed - bottom sheet continuously coming off. I feel bad leaving a less than stellar review because the staff was very nice. The issues were out of their control. Management needs to make updates and repair. Prime location to the convention center and restaurants and grocery store within walking distance.

    The only good thing was the breakfast and the security at night with the doors being locked. It’s been Almost 2 weeks later still haven’t received my deposit back. As soon as I got into the room the handle to the bathroom broke off. Only 1 out of the 2 tvs worked. The heat wouldn’t go above 62 all night. My daughters and I went across the street to Safeway and I’m fully convinced we were in the middle of a sex trafficking situation, it was so scary we ran all the way back to the hotel. Wouldn’t do it again!

    The location, price & front desk receptionist Brandi was very welcoming. We did not have all the required cooking utensils. We stayed pending the coming winter storm and the morning of the storm when it was its coldest day the heat wasn’t working & I had children w/ me. I called front desk to inform them my heat wasn’t working and that I didn’t have the required cooking utensils. I was told they would be sending someone to check it out. No one came. I ended up leaving before my stay was over.

    When we arrived we pulled into the parking garage we weren’t greeted by anyone. We couldn’t found an elevator and had to walk through the parking garage to get to the hotel entrance. Once we got inside we asked about the parking and I guess he was the parking intended, said to us very rudely that we shouldn’t have been in the garage!!! I asked how was I supposed to know when know one was there. Long story short parking was 55 a day! The bed was uncomfortable and we called to get a new remote cause it didn’t work when we checked in. It took 45 minutes for someone to come with a new remote. We had planned to stay from Tuesday- Saturday for our honeymoon. We decided to leave early.

    I have stayed at many Homewood Suites but whole staff at Homewood Suites at 465 New York NW in Washington, DC outstanding and even Kitchen staff was Glorious when you go to place feel comfortable with smile face means alot and great customer service. Need better pillows but everything else was extraordinary. I will be back and bring my own pillows

    There was a night receptionist whose name we truly wished we had caught. We were severely jet-lagged and woke up very early with several needs, and he helped us relentlessly—answering questions about the gym, operating the laundry machines, finding spare rolls of toilet paper, and more—while being the sole staff member in the entire hotel. He was consistently kind, patient, and professional. What really touched us was this: I had miscalculated my change and accidentally left a $10 bill behind. He went out of his way to track me down later and return it. I tipped him $5 afterward, but honestly wished I could have tipped him $100. Later, he even gave us friendly recommendations on how to make the continental breakfast taste closer to Turkish food (our home cuisine), which he said he really enjoys. Beyond excellent manners and honesty, his actions made us feel that our interactions with Hilton staff were not purely transactional—that they are on our team and genuinely watching our back. Thanks to staff like him, this hotel truly felt like a safe space and a temporary home. We wished the AC’s stopped blowing after hitting the target temperature instead of switching from blowing warm to blowing cold. The room suddenly goes from warm and toasty to frigid. There was a button that said “constant fan” that did nothing, not sure if it was broken in our room specifically. Overall, heating was not fun.

The front staff was very friendly and the area waa easy to navigate. The only challenge for me was the sirens. It seemed as soon as it got dark outside the crime and emergncies started.     I parked my 2 cars within your premises, paying a lot, and one of them was broken (door lock) during the night of 20th to 21th. The General Manager (Tracey) never came and took any providence. She showed up two days later and left us without any answer saying that she couldn't do anything, an empty plastic felt from the counter and she used that as an excuse to turn her back and walk away without any solution to the problem they created. I had to rent a car to come back home to Richmond with a family of 10 people. They wanted us to put tape at the door an drive through the wind at the highway with five children!!! Incredible... incompetent and rude general manager. Irresponsible woman. Conclusion: I am spending a thousand dollars renting a car for many days, because up today (Dec 30) nobody gave a solution and the car is still at the parking garage of the Hotel!!!

    - There were no complimentary toothpaste, mouth wash, in the bathroom like other hotels - Breakfast was 5/10 very limited selection - Had to pay $60 to park in the hotels garage when I was already a hotel paying customer. Should have been significantly reduced or no fee at all to park in the garage especially for one night. - Asked for additional sheet set as we had someone sleeping on the pull out couch, was given one very thin blanket. - The furniture, kitchen table, coffee table etc were all very worn. Had pieces missing from the edges. Not what I was expecting given it being a Hilton.

    The rooms were very spacious and the one we booked had a kitchenette which was nice when travelling. The bed was comfortable and soft. The hotel was 3 blocks from Mt Vernon metro station and this was only a couple of stops from L’Enfant station where most of the other lines go through so easy to change to get places. The front desk staff were friendly and helpful. There is no self parking so expect to pay $$ for valet. There is a parking lot across the street but I didn’t see how much. We had problems in 2 rooms with the heating but the other room was good. The breakfast had a good variety and there was tables and chairs and a fire place down stairs to hang around.

    Good location. Had to wait a while for checkin because the front desk person was in the bathroom. They also didn’t have tooth paste available and told me that I could buy it across the street. Other than that, it was nice and cozy. I did like being greeted each time I got off of the elevator. I also liked the convenience of having my key on my phone rather than carrying the card.

    The room was clean and had everything we needed. Breakfast items changed daily but towards the end of the trip some things such as peanut butter and nuts had run out but we did stay.over thanksgiving and it had been busy. The dining area is small but there is the option to take food to your room. Great location just a mile to walk to the White House, supermarket across the street and plenty of room paces to eat. Recommend this hotel.

    The room was nice, though a bit dated. The people at the reception, valet supervisor, kitchen staff were all nice and courteous. Really appreciated the daily snack replenishment which came with our room. Breakfast area was really small to accommodate guest’s especially during holiday season. The hot breakfast also had limited options when compared to the Homewood Suites near Dulles or other Hilton properties in Downtown DC.

    The hotel seemed to be full during the Thanksgiving holiday. It was understandable to be crowded during the breakfast and the management should be aware of this in advance. However, there were running out of dishes, bowels, and even food. Many of the residents just kept asking and waiting for clean dishes even the disposal ones. It lasted almost the holidays (at least I stayed four days). It should be manageable to avoid the disaster from happening.

    My room had no window that would open, but the HVAC was inadequate and verrrrry slow to respond. The TV would not turn on, and the shower in my colleague's room would not drain well, so he had to stand in water to use the shower. At 9 pm, I called guest services to see if there was something I needed to do to enable the HVAC and was told that it takes some time, the maintenance person had left for the day, and there was no one who could assist me.

    I’m Every one was good but one of the front desk she was rude. blanket were very very big blood stains I can’t believe and also the cribs for my twins was bad!!!!!! And one of the cribs it has a big hole baby head can come out how big was the hole and very unsafe and it’s not fair for the crib to be so uncomfortable and not working and very very dirty. baby should have also comfortable stay and comfortable sleep. We never got to put the babies in a crib. We slept all together because we have no chose and we did not get rest because we have to watch babies all night so they don’t fall out of the bed very very uncomfortable stay. I did come for my bday and and reason I chose DC was so I cane see my daughter and spend little time with her because I did not get chase to see her long time. She goes to college in Dc and to have have a good time with my family for my bday I was looking forward but this Hotel stressed me maximum. I will love the GM to contact me.

    I've taken many college students on trips, and this is the first one in which my students referred to the hotel and "home". It is a convenient, comfortable environment with a good breakfast and very kind people manning the front desk and serving in the breakfast area. The location is close to metro station, convention center, and to a number of good restaurants, including Capitol Burger, I think our favorite. Would definitely book here again if traveling with students to DC.

    It was clean, room was spacious, staff were courteous, and breakfast was ok. But I probably won't stay here again. The street noice at night was awful - street racing, souped up loud cars, sirens on the hour, and I could hear people having conversations on their deck. On top of that the fire alarm in our room beeped through out the night. Sleep was near impossible. We did ask for help with the fire alarm, and no one assisted. Furnitiure is in desperate need of replacing. Headboards, couches, and duvets were frayed and just plain worn out. TV channels all said - not available - so we could never watch anything. Toilet paper in our room was never refilled.

    Unfortunately, the previous guest also decided to leave their underwear and some other clothes for us in the closet on the safe which was lovely! The receptionist appeared shocked when we notified her about this, which was swiftly resolved. Breakfast was ok, there was only disposable bowls and cups which felt cheap. The breakfast consisted of a selection of cereal, pastries and a hot offering (e.g. burrito). We did not go to the gym but it looked well equipped, and the staff around the property were all very pleasant.

    The room was clean. The vanity sink stopper was broken. I went under the vanity to pop it up. The toilet I found that I had to hold the handle to flush it. It could have very well just been my room. The body wash bottle was empty. Since I was a new guest, I would have figured all the bottles would be topped up. The pillows did smell a bit musty, The water pressure in the shower was very good as well as the sink in the vanity. i had an Uber Eats order, FYI, for security, your order will be left in the lobby for you to pick it up. That didn't bother me. There weren't a lot of TV stations which was fine. The internet was slow, possibly due to a lot of people on the network.

    Just completed my first stay at Homewood in DC. Overall we had a good stay at Homewood. The pluses - The staff was excellent - especially the front desk. Always greeted with a smile and they were very efficient. Texting with the front desk was very convenient and always resulted in prompt service. The negatives - I was surprised to find some broken things in our room. I mentioned this in a text to the front desk on my first day but no response. The safe didn’t work and the desk chair back was broken and held with a zip tie. It was basically not usable. And we needed to use the desk! It was also dangerous. I could have easily fallen back off this chair. How much does it cost to just get a new chair? Overall the room looked a bit worn. Rust and empty space around the bathroom sink and other areas. The bed was comfortable. But…the blanket was awful. Flimsy and kept coming out of the duvet cover! Lastly, the breakfast area was very nice but the breakfast itself was minimal. Even Hampton inn had more! They had a waffle iron and fruit. Some fresh fruit would have been a welcome addition. I read this in the reviews too. Overall, we had a good stay. Location is great for our needs. Those little improvements would go a long way though.

    Great spot. Lots of sirens at night if staying on the front of the building. Rooms are a bit worn and could use a refresher. Something as simple as replacing missing curtains and ensuring there is more than one pot/pan in the kitchen. We choose the hotel due to having a kitchen but providing only one pan is not ideal.

    From when we arrived the toilet was broken in one room, our other room tv didn’t work. It took too long for them to address the broken toilet and then the engineer actually told us to keep the kids from putting toys in the toilet. Mind you we just walked in the door and our “kids” were 12 and 9. We then had to wait for housekeeping to clean the bathroom that had the broken toilet. What a headache. We couldn’t just leave like planned. Kids hungry, then it caused us to argue. The moment our voices raised , less than 2 mins, came a worker at the hotel , when we waited so long for service. Bathroom had mildew on the tile, I left my bath shoes on in the shower. No bath gel in the bath gel container, top sheet dirty/ stained. The only reason I gave this hotel 2 stars is because it was right by the supermarket, it fit our large family needs, the breakfast was nice. Breakfast staff was kind, accommodating and friendly. Especially the lady with the wrap on her hair. Nice both mornings. A suggestion is they should have a checklist to make sure things are in working order before people arrive. And address concerns faster when brought to their attention . Overall because of the problems our first night was not a nice one.

    The front desk staff was amazing each time we talked to them. Valet was not very friendly or helpful. The garage was hard to find and very awkward. It’s listed as free parking and valet but once you get there it only has $55+tax per night valet. The breakfast was always full and fresh and the girls working it were so nice and helpful. The front door is an automatic door but there is something wrong with it so when it opens it sounds like someon screaming throughout the whole first floor/breakfast area. The room was clean and stocked but the bathroom was lacking. There was black mold all around the bottom of the shower and I had to mop the bathroom myself it was so sticky and dirty. The staff is amazing but the hotel is lacking.

    To be honest, I was disappointed by my stay at Hilton this time around. When I first checked in, there was a half eaten cake in the freezer left behind by whoever previously stayed in the room. I let the front desk know that same evening and asked if housekeeping can pass by the next day to clean up what was left behind, but they did not. The room was cleaned, but the cake was still in the fridge. We were barely able to sleep that first night because the AC would not cool down below 75 degrees, maintenance came the next day and claimed to "fix it". We were not in our room the whole day and when we returned it was still 75 degrees. The front desk was able to change our room late at night. On our last night there we returned to our room around 10 PM and weren't able to get into the room because the lock to the door was dead. This is unacceptable.

    Only thing wrong with the property was there was only one elevator. Took a very long time to get to and from your room. Staff was great. Very friendly. Good breakfast. Nice clean rooms.

    Overall, this hotel, which I once considered a great choice for meetings at the Convention Center, has not been kept up as I had hoped/expected. Each of the 3 times that I've stayed over the past several years has seen a decline in the hotel

    This hotel was once very nice. It is now dated, it needs an overhaul. The sheets and towels are pretty bad, my sheets were either too small or just old because the fitted sheet popped off the corner every night despite my asking housekeeping to exchange. The pillows were lumpy and did not smell too good. I hate to give bad reviews but this wasn’t so great. People at the desk are nice and helpful. The elevator is a nightmare!!!! It takes forever and there appears to be only one of the two ever working. (There is a paper sign that employees wrote on the second elevator that says “for employees only”)not cool at breakfast or other busy times. You may wait 10-15 min for your floor. Sorry Homewood Suites, I wish I could be more complimentary.

    Two things which caused some concern: 1- only one escalator for the guests / customers sometime caused wait for 10 min or so. 2- Cooked items in breakfast were similar everyday with just one option for vegetarians. Wednesday social was very good and the staff was very welcoming and accommodating for any possible service they may provided. Housekeeping staff is awesome and they maintain the rooms very well.

    All of the employees were amazing, went above and beyond. Only complaint is 1 elevator wasn't working, but the very friendly and helpful staff made my 5 days very pleasant.

    We arrived when it was raining, and the valet refused to come outside. Staff would not lend an umbrella. No bottled water or toiletries in room.

    We saw mold in the shower when we first checked in. Bedsheets were not clean, red stains on the duvet. The staff was able to move us to another room but the carpet in the new room was not vacuumed as there’s crumbs and a lego piece next to the couch. The frame of the vanity mirror was also broken. Did not bother to call the staff again because we were tired. The staff was nice though.

    We reserved a room for 4 adults. The room we were given slept 3. We were then given another room which had a used, wet washcloth on the bathroom counter and the soap was out of the box, used, with the box on the counter. Also, there were only 2 pillows instead of 4 and only 3 towels. Because of these issues, we were not able to get to bed until 1:00 am. The next morning we realized the thermostat in the room did NOT work and we had no ac with 90 degree temps and 90% humidity outside. My husband talked to the desk attendant who said she would have it checked out. We left for the day and when we returned, we still did not have a functioning thermostat. We did not receive a text or note explaining what had been done. We again had to call the front desk and were told it wasn't able to be repaired and we AGAIN had to change rooms which is such a hassle having to pack everything up. Overall, the rooms are dingy and not well cleaned. The hotel only had 1 working elevator and the one in disrepair had to be used occasionally and was incredibly loud. We will NEVER stay here again nor recommend this hotel to anyone else. We definitely waisted our money.

    3 night stay. Very stylish, clean and spacious room. Comfortable bed. Breakfast and location were ok. A little far from main attractions when walking but metro stops nearby.

    The staff at the hotel was super nice and accommodating. We were having difficulties with the ac in our room and when we contacted the front desk Diamond was very nice and quickly resolved our issue. She even let us choose between 2 different room options. She was very patient and kind it made the transition so smooth. Would definitely recommend this property.

    I would not recommend this hotel due to constant noise disruptions from sirens, making it difficult to relax. Our initial room had malfunctioning light fixtures, and after switching, we encountered an AC failure, leaving us in an uncomfortably warm room. The AC was eventually fixed but was still very inconvenient.The lackluster breakfast didn't help either, and for the same price, there are better options available in downtown DC.

    It was nice to use the baggage hold system while we explored after we checked out. The room wasn’t very clean and there wasn’t any conditioner. It took a long time to get it. The tub wasn’t very clean.

    We were in town for a concert with my daughter and a few of her friends. The first room we were booked in was absolutely filthy. The bed was frayed, couch with visible stains, the kitchen floor sticky, mold in the bathroom and peeling wallpaper. For the price I paid, we were very displeased! Went down to the front desk where the staff was very friendly however, they booked us into another room. Definitely cleaner, the bed was still frayed and housekeeping (which is supposed to come every other day) never came throughout our 4 day stay. We had trash piling up, had to call multiple times for towels, blankets and the room did not even have spare sheets for the pull out couch. Was disappointed to say the least for the price that was paid for this location on top of the fact that this was a Hilton hotel. I expected more.

    Our stay was good. Staff was super friendly and helpful. Reason for a 3 star is because hotel wasn’t as well kept as pictures described. Hotel needs to be renovated. Tub would fill up as you’d shower, vents were rusty and detaching, carpet needs to be cleaned and wallpaper is peeling off.

    We enjoyed our stay so much! The staff was so kind and helpful with any questions we asked! Breakfast was fresh, hot and the options changed daily. The walk to the metro was only about 2.5 blocks so that made getting around simple and safe!
