Great hotel, kind staff, clean rooms, comfy beds. Would be nice to have a better quality bath towel.

The stay here was great. There is a Starbucks in the front of the lobby, my son used the gym, he said it was clean and well equipped, the Union Metro station is 1.5 blocks away which is helpful to get to the National Mall. We had door dash delivered and they held it at the front desk until we retrieved it. We had a capital hill view it was a nice touch. The room was clean, housekeeping made the beds, swapped out towels, and cleaned the bathroom daily. We would stay here again if we make it back to DC.

The best part of the hotel is the location, but certainly not worth the price. I could've stayed at the Ritz for that price. Rooms are still outdated, despite the recent remodel. I paid through hotels.com and got a good rate but when I went to cancel the second night because I didnt need it, the hotel refunded a very small amount of what I paid, only giving me the difference of the current rate, not the rate I paid. Both the hotel and hotels.com said it was the fault of the other so I had no one to help. Very disappointed.

Proximity to capital. Close but far enough away. Aid to help with transportation was an issue. $50 for 2 cups of coffee and 2 bowls of oatmeal was excessive. Had to send first coffee offered back as it was the dregs.

Overall experience was fine. The staff were very helpful and location was convenient. The only issue I had was the cleanliness of our room. The toilet was not cleaned so there were visible stains on the side of the base. There was still trash leftover from the previous guest.

Never been treated worse at a hotel in my life, not only did they lose my bags for hours they broke a glass inside is well, the front desk screamed at accusing me of losing the bag until they finally found it, room was also dirty, comforter had giant brown stain on it, many hotels in DC choose something different

One recommendation, I would extend a courtesy call for checkout to inquire whether assistance is needed for seniors, and those with ADA concerns would need assistance with luggage to the entrance. I experienced challenges with the wheels of my luggage with the hotel carpet. Had a nice stay!

I reserved an accessible room with a bathtub. It’s hard to find a tub these days, so that’s why I booked at this property in the first place. Room 1: I was put in a room with no tub. I requested to be moved to a correct room. Room 2: I was moved to a room that smelled like soured laundry upon entry and had two very small beds that didn’t even appear to be double-sized. While it had a tub, the caulking had complete gaps. I complained about the smell. They sent maintenance to spray air freshener. It didn’t work. I requested to be moved to a room that smelled clean. Room 3: No tub. The man at the desk asked the bellman who came to move my luggage to check again. Dutifully, he did. I heard the man at the desk say the room was supposed to have a tub. Desk man then asked to speak to me to confirm there was no tub. That was insulting— as if we wouldn’t be able to find it?! I confirmed. It would be pretty hard to miss. About 15 min later, I was moved to a room that had a nice tub and smelled decent. It should have been Room 1. Breakfast buffet - $36. Door Dash/Uber Eats can’t bring orders to rooms. There is a small fridge but no microwave. My room should have been comped after all of that— or me given at least a meal voucher to offset the ridiculous costs. But no. I’ve never experienced such an epic fail from a Hilton property. Staff were friendly, and that’s nice, but people expect a certain standard from Hilton. This property badly misses that mark.

The room was clean. The mattress was too soft and hurt my back. If you need a firmer mattress for a comfortable night's rest, hilton is not for you. The food and drinks were good, although the selection was slim. But what they had, was delightful. Generally, it is a good hotel

What in my mind really sets Hilton Capitol Hill apart from any other hotel is the Exceptional Service of all the staff. The first night I stayed in a room that was awesome but for some reason the mattress felt a little hard. Within an hour of expressing my concern, a manager personally reached out. And the manager did not just apologize but ensured that robust action was taken to resolve my concerns. By the time I finished breakfast, they had transitioned me into a new room with a mattress that was the perfect. When staying in a hotel there is nothing better than knowing that you have a hotel staff behind you that treats you with sincerity and respect. A staff that if something is not right, they solve the problem with a level of grace, kindness, and excellence in hospitality. Only dining issues were that breakfast can not be delivered, it is pick up only. In room dining was not open late enough for us. We wanted food at 11:30 pm and it was no longer open. Still a very nice hotel, great location, walking distance to museums, dining and Capital One arena. Found great coffee shop and dinner restaurant close by

Unclean room

I had an excellent overnight stay. The door man and front desk staff were friendly, the check in process was easy, the hotel is clean and well maintained and the room was very clean and comfortable. The shower felt amazing! The food and bartenders were great for both lunch and dinner. I had to leave the evening bartenders a nice tip because they were super friendly and engaging to me as someone traveling alone for a conference in another hotel. I accidentally left my toothbrush home (go figure!) and they gave me a complimentary one, toothpaste and extra water. I was well cared for and would recommend this hotel to everyone!

I stayed in the DC area for a brief weekend. The staff was attentive both physically and virtually through text messages. The staff was very helpful especially when I locked myself out my room early in the morning and came quick to fix my fridge. The only thing that could’ve made my stay better is if there was a pool but, their fitness center was great. I would stay again if ever in the area.

When we arrived at the hotel, we were told they had “oversold,” and we needed to relocate to a different hotel. I’m sure this is something that happens on occasion, but after we waited in line to have our car parked, and then waited in line to check in, it was very disappointing. A phone call in advance would have been very appreciated. A shuttle to the hotel they were relocating us to would also have been helpful. The Hilton appeared to be great, but our experience was far less than that.

This hotel is beautiful in the lobby/common areas. The room was horrible literally had panties and bra’s from their previous guest along with dirty sheets/pillow cases and possibly blood on the curtains (eye level when laying in the bed ?) when I notified the receptionist, all they said was, “we’ll have someone reach out to you” …. And of course nothing came of it. So, I thought I’d share here. (I informed them the next morning because I was so exhausted from traveling all day. I checked into the hotel after 1am)

I was moved rooms 3 different times which caused me to miss itineraries. The first room television did not work they said they would have to go behind the counter to get to it. Second room the toilet wouldn’t flush and moved me a third time. The last room water pressure in toilet and shower were very inefficient and barely worked. I refused to move a 4th time as I would miss more itineraries. Overall my stay was awful due to these circumstances.

Our room (1413) was great! The vent was very dusty located above the shower and there’s no microwave in the room. Service from check-in to check out was smooth and great. There is a $50/night incident deposit that is refundable within 48 hours of check-out.

For a one night stay it was central and valet parking was a breeze.

The hotel is under construction so a lot of the amenities were unavailable and I had no heat in my room they sent someone to fix it everyday but it was never resolved. They offered to move me the last day of my stay which I felt was useless I was already sick and leaving the next day. I will say the room was clean and the staff was super kind and I’m going to assume this was just a one off.

For price paid, the room was great. Room was serviced daily, very clean, bathroom was fine with nice TV. Room was also quiet which was a huge plus. Parking seemed a bit of a gouge given it was involuntarily valet at $60 per day.

The staffs are accomodating. There is no telephone shower, no bidet, and toilet flush is out of order when we arrived..

The location is fantastic! If you choose the room with a view, you can see the dome of the Capitol just up the street. If you're traveling by train, it's also one of the closest options. The room itself is spacious, and the bed was very comfortable. We chose not to have breakfast given the high price, 28USD/person if reserved ahead and we overheard the receptionist tell another guest that if he wanted to reserve breakfast the next day it would be more than 38USD/person. While some rooms have excellent views if you choose that option, the rooms that don't face offices across the interior patio, making us wonder if they could see into our room. The water pressure was low, and while searching for the ice machine, we discovered that several floors are being remodeled. Hopefully we will have an opportunity to stay there again once they've finished.

I booked two rooms and prepaid for them. But I was sent to a queens room instead of the kings I reserved. I only learned about this when I confronted the front desk. Then they asked me to contact booking for a resolution but booking said they couldn’t reach an agreement with Hilton so only sent me 30 in booking credit without any actual refund. I expected more from Hilton.

Like it's name, within easy walking distance from the Capitol. Lovely staff. The immediate area doesn't offer many options for dining and no where to shop for food outside. The gym was closed and the offered alternative was sub-par, not nearby, in an unsafe area and the facility had broken water fountains and was missing basic amenities. They should have been more upfront about the situation and found a decent alternative gym facility that was closer by. In the room, it was shabby, the back was falling off the desk and the lighting was poor, and the there was start coming through the window. I requested another room, was told I could change that evening, but it never materialized in spite of spending a full week there.

The location of this hotel is brilliant, I arrived by train and it was an 8 minute walk from Amtrak station. Location around the hotel is nice and it’s walkable to most sights. The communal areas and bedroom were very clean and in good order. Only (very slight) negative was the staff member who booked me in, not especially friendly.

It is a bit longer of a walk to the Mall and major sites (5-8 minutes by taxi) but the staff was always able to hail a cab in a very few minutes. The fitness center was small but nice. The Hilton Washington DC Capitol Hill is in a very convenient location, which worked perfectly for my needs. While my stay had a few service hiccups—such as no hand soap upon arrival, a safe that initially didn’t work (but was promptly fixed within 30–45 minutes), and some housekeeping oversights—the team was responsive when I reached out. Special thanks to the gentlemen at the door, who were always welcoming, and to the lunch staff in the restaurant, who provided excellent service. With a bit more attention to detail in room preparation, this would have been a flawless experience.

The hotel interior was great and had a good ambience with a bar and restaurant in the center of the building. The staff was good and we had no issues with the services.

Broken piece of furniture, toilet would not fill unless we took lid off tank to make it fill, no smart tv so all entertainment was filled with commercials

The location is great. It's a very safe area and the staff is attentive to the needs of the customers. The only thing that I would suggest would be to improve the menu options.

I had selected sort hotels by those which included breakfast, but breakfast was extra. That was a little surprising.

Everything was amazing

The stay was great. The valet was so nice and kind. They even kept my bag for me after check out so I could finish some business in town. Price for valet parking is a bit steep and they do not let you tip on credit card would be my only complaint.

the staff generally was excellent. I had a not great experience regarding buying food that required microwave late at night and not realizing there was no microwave in the room and the staff at front desk didnt tell me when they saw I was buying it. When I tried to return it in the morning they were argumentative and defensive at first but I stood my ground and they gave me a credit. not pleasant experience to an otherwise excellent one. thanks

It was a nice stay over all. However, they have a rodent problem around the bar area. There were 3 running around. I was able to capture one on video. It has to be a problem for to hold your camera up for 28 seconds and record it running around. When we alerted the bartender they reacted as if it was normal occurrence and shrugged their shoulders. If they fixed the rodent problem or acted as it was a serious problem they would have gotten 5 stars.

Staff was top notch. From the doormen/bellhops to maids & everyone in between. Hotel was decorated nice inside for Halloween. I just found that the parking was pricey ($60 per day) considering directing across the street it only cost $13 per day.

I loved the comfort of the room and the great view of the capital building. The room was spacious with a great floor plan and comfortable bed.

Fire alarm went off in my room because of the shower. Also toilet clogged even though I only went #1 lol

Staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Great bed. I slept like the dead and that's rare for me. All around great experience.

I won’t go into all of the issues but only the most important to me. Cleanliness. The rooms were really gross. The boxspring around the base of the bed was filthy. The floors were sticky - and they’re carpet. The towels (all of them) smelled horrible. They had a “burn” smell as if the dryer nearly caught on fire. I’d rather smell too much bleach to be honest. However, the staff are amazing. From front desk to wait staff at the restaurant and the bartenders in the atrium bar. Really outstanding. Just fix the cleanliness issues. On our last night someone vomited in the lobby and they just put up a “wet floor” sign. C’mon. Do better. Thanks for allowing me to share.

This hotel is not tourist/family friendly. Mostly BUSINESS oriented…great for conferences. Restaurant, bar and gift shop prices ridiculously high. (Cup of coffee $7, candy bar $3.95!) Staff could (or would) not cash large bills for customers and seemed to start every answer to our questions with, ‘Unfortunately,’. There was no designated BUSINESS area to check-in for flights or print tickets. Doorman, restaurant and bar staff very friendly. I will not stay at this location again nor recommend it to family or friends.

Think the 30.00 early check is silly, if a room is available and I’m checking in that day - why pay 30.00 extra Breakfast was pricey

The staff were very nice and helpful. I would leave and everyday my door would be opened and I even got help leaving on the Uber to the airport with my bags.

Room wasn’t ready almost 4 hours after check in time and no one seemed to know what was going on or how to solve the problem. Apparently hotels are allowed to check you in anytime they can without consequences but if you stay 2 minutes late the will charge you a fee for sure.

The staff was great and the hotel was nice and clean. Didn't like that the buffet was only served on the weekends so I missed out.

Nice building with a lot of hidden dirty and broken spaces. My room was dirty. It seems like someone just checked out of if The carpet was very dirty. The staff is very prompt and helpful. Beds were comfortable. It is very convenient

Location is perfect to drop off student at Georgetown law, right across the street. The hotel is nice and clean, The neighborhood looks great and seems very safe.

Beautiful Hilton, the staff here was terrific. Very convenient to the sights of DC. Valet parking was $60 a night, but very safe.

My room was very comfy and had a beautiful view. I would say my only complaint was the TV selection. It would be nice to use streaming apps.

We put the privacy sign on the door, but someone came in cleaned our trash. We called the front desk and after the investigation they said we requested the trash cleaning but we did not at all. No follow ups any more. Front desk staff was not nice.
