Reviews
The hotel is generally well-liked for its cleanliness, friendly and helpful staff, and convenient location near amenities and public transportation. However, some guests have complained about the noise from the AC units, small room size, and lack of parking options.

Location - we went to a concert at Nationals Park which was an easy walk from the hotel. Lots of restaurants nearby. We didn't eat breakfast at the hotel because we found an awesome coffee shop nearby - Maman. Highly recommended. Very safe and walkable area.
- 5/5
Great hotel if in town for a ballgame. Many restaurants around and only about a 25-30 walk to the National Mall. If ever in DC again, this will be my hotel of choice.

staff was very helpful

- 5/5
Great location to Nats park with easy valet parking.
- 5/5
The staff were helpful and friendly, and our room was very comfortable and clean. The breakfast was good as well with a variety of options available. Walking distance to many restaurants and the waterfront. Would stay here again!
- 5/5
Very nice hotel, great location. The hotel staff was outstanding! Very nice polite and helpful staff. One of the best hotel staff personnel I’ve ever seen. I strongly recommend this hotel.
- 4/5
You can't beat the location of this hotel - right across the street from Nats park, a number of places to eat within a few doors, a short walk to the Metro. However, it is very pricey for the level of hotel ($300 and up a night in the summer) for just an average family hotel. Nothing special in the rooms, pillows are actually quite horrible, no restaurant, free breakfast that is below average with the usual cereal, yogurt, some mass produced eggs and meat product, parking is an extra $60 a night. So just be aware of what you are getting, but for walking over to the game (if that's what you're here for) it's a perfect location and the front desk employees are always extremely helpful and friendly. Hope this helps.
- 5/5
This is a perfect location for the Nationals Ballpark and has a Metro station a block away for easy access to the rest of the city. The rooftop bar is a plus. The staff was great an Andrew's took exceptional at making us feel welcome and taken care of!

Good stay

We liked that it was across the street from Nationals Park and walking distance from so many restaurants

I specifically picked the hotel because I was a solo traveler driving and needed the valet parking. When I arrived at 4pm I was told NO Valet service and spots were all full. I even called ahead to "plan" for parking. So I had to find parking for 60.00 for a few hours then go get the car at 10pm and bring back to the hotel for them to park because where I found for temporary would not allow overnight. So I paid 135.00 to park overnight! Being a solo female driver who came to town to help a child move into a new apartment..this was not good. The hotel also LOST power for 2 hours 7-9am ( no generators for rooms?) that's a FIRST. The staff was kind, just wish parking was available FOR GUESTS as stated and assured by phone!
- 5/5
Great staff, clean hotel, great location.
- 5/5
My friends and I enjoyed our stay at the Hampton Inn Navy Yard. Andrew at the front desk was EXCEPTIONAL!!!!! My only small complaint was the breakfast is 4 hrs (6-10) I feel that that food should be refreshed after 2 hrs for people like me who aren't early risers lol. By 8-9 am the food had been sitting and already picked over or finished. Besides that everything was excellent. Clean room/facility, easy fast check in, and the coffee in the lobby was always hot and fresh. This hotel will definitely be my go to when I'm in DC.

Everything - Staff was excellent, location was great, it was clean and comfy! Delish breakfast! The price but nowadays it’s expected.

Rooftop bar was amazing with fantastic staff.
- 5/5
Friendly staff, clean room and a fun rooftop bar.

I was not able to check in due to lack of parking, if you only have valet, then you better make sure there is enough parking for every paying customer. We were directed to some other garages, but they were pass only. I’m sure that was an anomaly for that particular situation, but I sure would like to get my money back.
- 5/5
The amenities were on point, the bar, the breakfast, the spacious rooms said a lot about the management and their best practices. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay.
- 3/5
Property is right next to the baseball stadium. Furniture is old scuff marks and stains on the sofa. Sheets and towels were clean. Breakfast is very basic
- 4/5
I knew it wouldn’t be fancy - just practical and reliable. Worked out great. The front desk and valet were especially helpful.
- 5/5
Clean, comfortable, staff are fantastic It’s next door to a sketchy basement bar and not well marked, no parking except valet at $70/day

Super close to the stadium which was very convenient. Parking is crazy and super expensive.

The bathroom door was one of those sliding doors and it didn’t close properly. It didn’t have the right attachment. You couldn’t lock it and so it was almost like you every time you use the restroom your left your door open and the person I’m sharing the room could see do everything. It wasn’t very private. That was a problem.
- 5/5
Great location in Navy Yard, great room (king suite with view of stadium), all the staff were friendly, the breakfast buffet was very convenient and a nice plus. I do recommend staying here.
- 5/5
Perfect place to stay if you're going to see a Nationals game.

Ha, nothing. The size of the rooms for the amount of money it costs is pathetic. "King room with a shower" is exactly what you get. L shapped room with the bathroom right there as soon as you open the door. Have to turn right immediately and then the actual room can barely fit a king size setup. If you're a large person, you'd probably have to get on the bed at the foot vs the side because there's hardly and room between the bed and walls. The "king suite" was also terrible. It was a larger room than the "king with shower" but not much better. The room we stayed in overlooked the bar next door that didn't close til 3am, so we heard the bar crowd all night. Turning up the TV didn't help much because then it was just a mixture of crowd and TV. We asked the front desk if we could change out the "king with shower" room and he said, "unfortunately, that's what you booked." I expressed my thoughts about the size of the room for what it costs is pathetic and asked if I could downgrade to two queens. "We're all sold out for tonight," he replied. Alight, whatever. So I go get some food, as I'm waiting, I get curious and look on the hotels website and guess what, there's rooms available.. I decided not to push the issue because given his response to my first two concerns, this would have got me nowhere anyways. So the size and quality of the rooms for what they costs, not worth it. The customer service at the front desk, terrible. Trying to sleep next to a bar crowd, ridiculous. I will never stay here again, nor will I recommend it to anyone. A Saturday night at the Maryland Live casino hotel is cheaper and a whole lot nicer.

Breakfast and staff were amazing !
- 2/5
The hotel was really good in a nice location because the main reason we went to D.C was to go watch a Nats game. Only horrible thing about this property is the bar below the hotel has music full blast until the early morning of the day and it is impossible to sleep this was the worst experience ever and the front desk guy told us he had gotten complains about this. Thursday night was good cause I am guessing the bar was closed but Friday and Saturday made ne regret chosing this hotel. So next visit to D.C as much as I like this hotel I will NOT stay there us old people need to sleep.
- 4/5
Great Breakfast and the Lobby/ Front Desk Staff were very nice. They greeted us every time we walked into the Front Desk Area.
- 5/5
Staff were very nice and helpful. The breakfast in the morning was delicious and attended to frequently! Rooms were very nice.
- 5/5
Please provide bacon for breakfast. I didn’t see orange juice for breakfast. Parking is too expensive. No slippers for the cold floor. The room was too cold and I couldn’t stop the air conditioning or lower the temperature.

Wonderful staff who greeted me with a smile. Nice location and amazing rooftop view.

The staff were always available, cheerful and ready to help. The breakfast had variety and was consistent every day, the room was comfortable and housekeeping responded to requests and kept towels etc up to date. I couldn't imagine a more pleasant and competent place to stay.

The hotel is fine. Location overlooks Nats Park which is nice. The staff on day of check out were less than helpful. Came to town to run a race and I asked the day before for late check out. Told to ask the next morning. Asked then and told to ask later. Asked later and they said oh we have reached our limit. I asked multiple times before said limit was reached. Eventually got them to give me 30 mins but that was not without a lot of issues with them. I won’t go back.
- 5/5
Great view from the rooftop bar!
- 5/5
Loved the location, right across from the ballpark. Room 608 worked well for us - however - it looks down upon the outdoor bar, which was fairly noisy on Friday night. No noise issue at all on Saturday night. Hotel staff were all warm, welcoming, and accommodating. We enjoyed our 2-night stay.

Very nice hotel in walking distance to Audi field. Bobby at the front desk was wonderful and so was the head of housekeeping (I apologize but I forget her name). Nothing

Great location. Clean property. Roof deck bar A+
- 5/5
Great staff, Breakfast, bed & room!!
- 4/5
Only thing I suggest is for breakfast switch up the hot food if possible so its gives us a variety.
- 5/5
Loved how close it was to the stadium and restaurants. We didn’t really need an uber or Lyft because everything we needed was within walking distance. I would stay again without hesitation. The staff went above and beyond as well.
- 5/5
Staff was nice. Excellent location. Metro is right there. Lots of eats near.
- 5/5
Excelent service, very clean and the breakfast was great
- 2/5
Terrible breakfast. Won’t clean your room on certain days
- 3/5
Hard to find the location from the street, was not aware that I was going to have to pay for parking
- 3/5
Please alert guests about how the process of valet will go. It was very confusing as the signage and direction was unclear.
- 5/5
Continent location, only issue was upon arrival no valet service available and parking was full and took over an hour to find parking 4 miles away.
- 5/5
All the basic amenities and great rooftop area. Staff was extremely helpful.
- 5/5
Andrew at the front desk was very helpful!
- 5/5
Buffet breakfast, walkable area. Next door to Nationals Park. Staff were all fantastic

- 5/5
Good breakfast good location.
- 5/5
Hotel Hospitality was amazing, valet service/parking whole other story. Site doesnt mention you have to pay $60 a night for parking...
- 4/5
Room was clean. Staffs were friendly. Door to bathroom was difficult to slide to open and close. Toilet mechanical worked intermittently.
- 5/5
Clean rooms and great service.
- 5/5
Wonderful location
- 5/5
Good breakfast, close to Metro Station. Staff was excellent.
- 4/5
Clean rooms, friendly, helpful staff; too small of a breakfast room, does not accommodate the number of guests, breakfast itself 2/10.
- 5/5
Perfect location for restaurants, and venues. The metro was a 3 minute walk away to get to all the museums and monuments. Staff were all friendly and kind. Only complaint was one of the USB ports by the bed was loose so I had to use a different spot to charge electronics, but there were plenty of working ports.
- 5/5
The location is spot on for using the metro, dining out, and green space. The breakfast was perfect for our family to start our day with a variety of foods for our teens.
- 5/5
Yes great breakfast and staff!
- 5/5
Very nice
- 5/5
the staff at the front desk went above and beyond holding on to our luggage. we will definitely be back to this location again. great experience.

- 5/5
Great experience overall. Very friendly staff, great breakfast, clean rooms. We arrived too early for our room, so the staff offered to hold our luggage so we could go out into DC and start our trip. We received texts asking how our trip was going and if we were in need of anything or had any questions. It was very refreshing to have staff that actually cares about you.
- 3/5
The parking is a big issue to return .Very expensive for 1 night .
- 5/5
Enjoyed my stay here at Hampton Inn & Suites Navy Yard. Staff were great, the room was clean with comfortable beds. Loved the roof top bar! Location is amazing , right in the heart of the navy yard! Close to so many bars and restaurants. Continent parking right across the street l. Would stay here again for sure next time I’m in DC.

- 4/5
Lovely staff Good food. Breakfast was very sumptuous.
- 5/5
Staff went above and beyond anytime we interacted with them. Barry and Allan or standouts.
- 5/5
We had the pleasure of staying here after scrambling to try to get home during the recent winter storm. Although an unplanned and unexpected stay, we were truly pleased with our visit to DC and the hotel. Many kind people in Washington and two of the workers at the hotel stood out as so very memorable and helpful. Thanks to Bobby the manager for everything he did to make our stay wonderful. Thanks to Christian for patiently dealing with us and assisting when issues arose and plans had to be modified.
- 4/5
Guest were smoking weed inside the property and staff
- 1/5
The room is terrible, last time when we stayed here, the room is big, clean and very nice; however, this time the air circulation and air condition is horrible, both of us kept sneezing through our stay in our room. The floor is slippery somehow. During breakfast, because there were so many people, I had to grab and go very quickly, because someone else took the tong, I took the bagel using my hand, but I touched nothing else than my own bagel. The staff yelled at me, and took the tray and repeated loudly that she had to threw out the entire tray.
- 5/5
This hotel is in a safe and clean neighborhood across from stadiums. There are plenty of restaurants, shops, and bars all walking distance. Navy Yard is mostly a young professionals neighborhood with tall luxury apartments so you see a lot of them walking their dogs. There are two metro stations really close by and it is only about a 15-20 drive from DCA. The king suite was spacious and perfect for two adults and one kid.
- 4/5
The staff was pleasant, the rooms were average however the immediate neighborhood was questionable at night. During the day the waterfront area was great.
- 5/5
Our room was spacious and clean. Location of hotel is great with lots of restaurants and easy walk or scooter to The Wharf. Only complaint would be the noise at night- there seems to be a club or bar nearby that played loud music until 2am or so.
- 5/5
Everyone was very nice and accommodating
- 2/5
I booked my room 2 weeks in advance. All paid for. When I got there past midnight they said they were “sold out” on all rooms and didn’t have any rooms available because I “missed my check-in”. They placed me at a nearby hotel that was still under construction, and didn’t even have water available or a working vending machine. I was supposed to have gotten a refund and it’s almost a month later - I have not received it.
- 5/5
Yes
- 5/5
The staff was polite, the room was clean, and my stay was perfect.
- 5/5
Only issue was parking… only choice is a $60 per night …be sure to factor that into your budget before booking :)
- 5/5
Excellent
- 4/5
I know now which rooms to avoid for late night noise. Rooms closest to National Park get the LATE night noise from the nightclub well into the early hours. I will make a mental note before checking in next time!
- 4/5
The room was great and the staff was amazing!
- 1/5
The AC was not working correctly and we sweat the ENTIRE stay. Went to the front desk 3 separate times to be told it would be fixed and it never was. Called the front desk over a dozen times and it just rang, no answer. The room was clean and hotel is in a prime location but the lack of action and accountability killed the experience. Frank said this is a common issue and it is what it is.
- 3/5
Plumbing - there was a horrible smell coming from the bathroom sink and toilet when we first checked in. “There were no other room available” it was a less than ideal 3 days. However the staff were all very kind and helpful.
- 5/5

- 3/5
We enjoyed our stay. The location was close to the metro, felt safe, and had breakfast included.
- 5/5
Easy check in
- 3/5
Did not have breakfast but staff was rude
- 5/5
Room was clean and staff were great
- 4/5
Breakfast was very limited, with no variety. I stayed for 6 days, and the oatmeal was always hard. The boiled eggs tasted like they had been kept in the refrigerator, and there were no scrambled eggs only fried eggs full of grease with a hard yolk, or an omelet with cheese (I cannot eat cheese) and bell peppers. Horrible. Overall, the hotel is well located, right next to the metro station, with restaurants nearby. It is clean, and the front desk staff was always very kind and attentive, helping us with many important pieces of information. Oh , make sure the rooftop is open and you book.
- 5/5
Everything was excellent. The staff was really welcoming and helpful. Loved the included breakfast, food was delicious.
- 4/5
Everything was fine overall - the reception staff were friendly and complimentary coffee and tea were available all day, which was a nice thing. However, during our 4-night stay the room was only visited once to remove the trash (and even then no new garbage bag was left🙈) and there was no cleaning or towel change at all. Apart from that, it offers good value for the price
- 5/5
Not good breakfast options
- 5/5
Room was clean, Staff was helpful, breakfast was good
- 1/5
No parking. Only option was a valet for $60x night. We found parking accross street for less than $40. Hotel is remodeled and cleaned
- 4/5
Room and hotel was clean. Waited long time for valet on arrival, it was a busy evening. All staff was courteous.

- 5/5
Great customer service
- 5/5
This is a wonderful hotel. The staff (especially Christian) were friendly and helpful. The room was clean and comfortable. The breakfast each morning was hot and plentiful. I would absolutely stay here again. It is a great location with the metro station a few steps away.

Great breakfast, excellent location and amazing staff!
- 5/5
Staff was great place was quiet
- 5/5
Very friendly reception area; everyone greeted me no matter who was at the front desk; clean room, quiet, super close to the metro
- 3/5
My stay started off poorly due to an undisclosed $70 mandatory valet parking fee that was not listed on Expedia. The front desk was unhelpful and provided inaccurate information about nearby parking. The room had HVAC issues, alternating between heat and AC, no housekeeping on the second day, and a strong marijuana smoke odor coming through the walls that disrupted sleep. While the hotel looks nice, these issues significantly affected my experience.
- 5/5
Great staff. Clean quiet room.
- 5/5
The staff was especially courteous to me. I really appreciated it

- 5/5
your Staff at your navy yard was some of the best people I have ever meet, so courteous and helpful, from recommending sites to see and places to eat. I will stay again there when visiting D. C. again, Allen at the front desk was excellent. my only wish was, the parking was less expensive. if i had know i would have got a monthly parking permit as pricing for 30 days was no more than 5 days cost
- 3/5
The room was in good condition. We just had to ask multiple times to get things done. Multiple request to get towels, tooth brushes, our room cleaned etc
- 5/5
Clean room, responsive staff
- 5/5
Everything was great! The views were perfect! Lots of bars and restaurants within 5-10 mins walking distance. The breakfast was delicious. But what stood out the most was the staff!! Every single staff member was always helpful, smiling and polite!! I will to return to DC and stay specific at this hotel!!
- 4/5
It was fine
- 5/5
Plan to return next month for family visit.
- 3/5
Everything was cool. THERE IS A 100 DOLLAR INCIDENTAL FEE PER NIGHT, so just keep that in mind before pre-paying. My only real issue was, there were too many issues and unfinished work to my room. The phone didn’t work and tv needed finished installation. They had 4 people at my door to fix one tv. Weird. My company and I were very uncomfortable because it was unexpected. However the front desk guy i checked in with lightskin guy, beard, locs, and glasses . I dont know his name but he had EXCELLENT customer service!! Keep him around.
- 5/5
Last min booking and was happy we did stay here. Traveled with my mom and toddler and had an amazing experience. Staff were great.. con parking

The check in was amazing staff very friendly and accommodating. Only issue was my tv stoped working and no one could fix it so spent the rest of the night and the morning in silence

Found cockroach in room they said was going to clean my room and never did
- 5/5
Mr. Frank, Allen and the young man that. Took over for me Frank on Sunday morning were won't. The valet was patient and courteous
- 3/5
This is a very shabby hotel. I was quite surprised given the cost. The room I was in faced an industrial air unit out the window and had a deafening noise. The staff was quite accommodating and kind, though, and the place was clean. It's just clearly neglected by the corporation that owns it.
- 5/5
Very close to Nats stadium amazing area. Check in staff was amazing and super friendly. Great location.
- 5/5
Staff was great! Specifically Bobby, Christian, and Frank. Room was quiet and clean and bed was comfortable. Really liked the Navy Yard area. Wish we could’ve stayed longer and visited the roof top bar & dining.
- 5/5
Great staff, location and room
- 4/5
Great location, excellent staff. Incredibly loud at night because of local nightlife.

Staff and accommodations were fantastic. One of us forgot a tooth brush and why provide one. Also extra towels were provided upon asking with out a hassle.

Clean room
- 5/5
The hotel was exceptionally clean from the spacious lobby to the well-maintained rooms, ensuring a comfortable stay. We visited for a concert at the National Park Stadium, and the hotel's location was perfect, offering easy access to the venue. Once we handed over our car to the valet parking service, we didn't have to worry about parking or security throughout our visit. There were numerous dining options nearby, ranging from casual cafes to upscale restaurants, making it convenient to find a meal at any time. The area felt very safe for walking, even at night. I would definitely consider staying here again if we attend another event in the area. The front desk staff were highly professional, attentive, and eager to assist with any requests, which enhanced our experience. Overall, I have no complaints and would recommend this hotel to others.
- 5/5
Clean room with nice bathroom.
- 5/5
This was such an awesome stay. The property is well maintained and I cannot say enough about the wonderful staff. There are so many dining options outside. An absolute 10/10. I highly recommend.
- 5/5
Staff friendly and accommodating, room and hotel clean and well kept. Definitely would recommend
- 5/5
We were able to see Chris brown within walking distance
- 5/5
Noisy outside
- 5/5
First let me start by saying the staff was very very friendly and welcoming and even the valet I’m not sure if they were associated with the hotel but they were very friendly as well. The property was very nice and clean except the mosquitoes in the lobby but I stayed at another hotel in DC and they had the same problem so I’m assuming it’s an ongoing issue everywhere. All in all everything was great I was in town for a concert and it was super convenient because it was a short 2-3 minute walk from the hotel I enjoyed everything about it I would definitely stay again
- 5/5
Loved that it was right across the street from Nationals Park for a concert I attended. When checking in I was greeted by Christian who was very professional and friendly. When I got to the Room it was very clean and staff was very friendly.
- 4/5
Convenient
- 2/5
The room was great! The problem was that I book this room months prior & when I arrived to check in I was told that valet was full! What I’m not understanding is if the valet is for the hotel why was it full & I booked months ago. So I had to walk blocks from my car which I drive around for 2 hours trying to find a park. I checked in at 5:15pm but didn’t walk inside my room until 7:30! This is definitely unacceptable. I will be calling corporate because someone has to explain why I didn’t have a place to park where I paid to sleep .
- 5/5
Clean staff is super nice
- 5/5
The room was very clean as well as the hotel. Breakfast was nice just wish the space to get breakfast was a little bigger. We enjoyed our stay and will definitely stay there again.
- 4/5
Staff was very friendly and informative. Right across from the stadium so walking around the area was a breeze!
- 3/5
The hotel was nice and very convenient. The only thing that I didn’t like was not being able to park at the property or have valet. I feel like if I booked a room and spent my money, I should be able to park where I am staying. Luckily, we found a garage that was a 10 minute walk from the hotel. I understand there was a big event, in which I attended myself. But if I paid to spend the night there, I should have been able to get valet or park at the property. I shouldn’t have had to walk a distance with my luggage. When I called, the lady was kind of rude. But overall the stay was nice, it’s just the parking situation.
- 3/5
Nice location but rooms are in need of an upgrade especially the bathroom. The toilet stopped working a couple of times and maintenance was not onsite at the time to help and no other rooms available so our stay was not enjoyable. The supervisor was not helpful or even tried to provide a solution or even followed up.
- 5/5
My mother and I attended an event at Nationals Park, so this hotel was EXTREMELY convenient for us. We were allowed to check in early, which was super helpful as we had a long commute. Staff were respectful, helpful, and very friendly.
- 5/5
Staff was nice and great location.
- 5/5
This Hampton Inn location is definitely my go to first when booking for a DC United match. Simple, friendly staff, clean room, good well stocked breakfast, with good coffee options. Parking valet fees increase, but I figure companies must make some profit and I do not have many other options. The convenience is a huge factor, so it is built into the budget.
- 4/5
The location was great, however the access to the parking lot is very limited and expensive.
- 5/5
Very clean and friendly staff. They love pets and so did everyone in the hotel. Great you provide tea and coffee and flavored water. Thanks for the stay from a DC local!
- 5/5
Is why we were in town to see the Chicago White Sox play the Nationals.
- 5/5
Very helpful staff. Went above & beyond to help correct our reservation. Highly recommend the hotel

Great location. Walking distance to most sites
- 5/5
Front desk was happy and helpful. Room was very clean and comfortable. We were there for a ball gameand we loved the rooftop bar after the game. Only advice, if you are staying on the weekend and use the valet, plan accordingly. The hotel was completely booked. We waited 20 minutes for the elevator and ended up taking the stairs. The valet took 45 minutes to get our car. Not a huge deal, but we had to change some plans. The valets were awesome and were working their tails off. Would stay here again for sure. Awesome location.
- 5/5
The staff was exceptional especially Allen at check in and throughout the weekend, he ensured our stay was amazing. The only thing I didn't like was the couch in the lobby directly in front of the front desk, it is worn, and needs to be replaced. The leather is discolored and is very noticeable when you enter the property and it takes away from the rest of the beautifully decorated lobby.
- 5/5
The staff was great and friendly. Felt safe in the hotel.
- 5/5
Front desk was super helpful and friendly
- 5/5
Great welcoming
- 5/5
Frank is what made the experience amazing. We arrived late from SWVA and he made sure me and my parents were well taken care of. Definitely an amazing asset to your team! Thank you, Frank! It’s always amazing when someone enjoys their job. Hotel was perfect. Breakfast was the best I’ve had in a while. Everyone was so nice! Will be staying here from now on.
- 5/5
We had a wonderful time, the staff was very courteous
- 5/5
Excellent location!
- 5/5
Good area nice hotel
- 5/5
Great as usual. Always my place for a staycation
- 5/5
Can’t get much closer to Nationals Park. Lots of restaurants close by. Check the reviews first for those. Prices, service and food all disappointing. The rooftop bar in the hotel was great. Good bar food, service and prices.
- 4/5
Valet garage fills up if arriving late afternoon on weekends. Event day parking is confusing when self parking overnight as garage charges extra after 2 am and it’s more expensive than valet. Front desk was not much help.
- 5/5
I didn't like the expensive valet parking
- 5/5
Also, cannot say enough about cleanliness of property! Everything was exceptional!
- 5/5
Stayed in this hotel to attend a Washington Nationals game. It's so incredibly convenient for games. Will definitely stay here again.
- 5/5
Our room was great and the staff was friendly! The valet drivers were extra helpful!
- 3/5
Staff was friendly but property was old and not what I would expect for $350 a night.
- 4/5
Great hotel in a great location! Extremely close to the NATS stadium! Only complaint is that the shower door would not stay close and made showering an unpleasant experience.
- 5/5
Location terrific.
- 2/5
Parking for guests is valet only and very expensive. You can park overnight in the garage east of the building for a fraction of the cost. It was also very noisy, as the room we were in was on the side against a building with a rooftop bar/club. In the evening/night there are often people lingering outside the doors smoking substances. Would not stay with family unless attending a baseball game.
- 1/5
There is a club under the hotel so we were awoken at 11 pm with very loud music and noisy people. Had to leave, management only offered us earplugs.
- 5/5
The assistant manager of the hotel gave us a room with quite the view. The service and staff were exceptional. The breakfast was delicious. Definitely using this hotel for all future DC trips.
- 5/5
Great stay
- 4/5
Great location - across from the ballpark, surrounded by restaurants & bars, easy 1 block walk to the Metro. Friendly daytime front desk staff; breakfast every morning (could use a larger space - gets crowded on weekends); rooftop bar with really cool view into Nationals Park. Tiny room with a view of the HVAC system - I often wonder if that view is bc we book with Hotels.com. Not the first time we've run into almost the exact same situation. Room & bath were extremely clean; towels are provided 1/person, tiny& don't dry you well.
- 5/5
Next to the nationals park
- 1/5
I was not told about the early check in fee and they charged me $25. I am okay with the fee as long as I was made aware of it. The guy who was at the checkout counter was extremely rude
- 4/5
Parking is crazy
- 4/5
Stay was very good.
- 5/5
Close to the metro station and the waterfront, really enjoyed my stay in DC. Thank you for the great service.
- 5/5
Breakfast was included with the stay and was pretty good. They had lots of options but the space was very small. The bed seemed comfortable but each morning I woke up sore. We did find a roach in one of our suitcases after arriving home.
- 3/5
Despite calling in advance, I had to leave my room and get moved to another. That was actually OK given the sink in the bathroom wasn't draining properly but annoying. The roof top bar is nice but your view of the game is minimal. I guess you can watch on the flat screen TV at the roof top bar. Be sure to text the valet early when you are leaving. We waited for 45 minutes.
- 4/5
The hotel was great . Amazing location, and very clean. The staff was friendly very accommodating. My only complaint is parking price , and the air conditioners are very loud .
- 4/5
Signage of the hotel was very poor .
- 5/5
The property itself was very safe. The staff was incredibly nice.
- 5/5
Everything was great desk person to room set up
- 5/5
Great location near the ballpark and other attractions!
- 5/5
Had a great time celebrating my 10 year anniversary. The room had a lovely view and the neighborhood had plenty of restaurants.
- 5/5

- 4/5
Great location.
- 5/5
We loved this hotel once we got to our room. The lobby and breakfast areas are extremely hot in the summer, especially while the waffle irons are on. But the room was spectacular. A/c was great, tons of room, and a great view. And only a block from the ballpark, which was extra great when we left the Nats game. Will be back for sure.
- 5/5
The only issue we had was that the air conditioning unit was very loud!!!
- 5/5
Baseball stadium. Staff is friendly, helpful and very courteous. Lots of restaurants in area and only 2 blocks to the Metro. We will be back!
- 5/5
Great staff
- 5/5
Great hotel. Always our go to location when attending a Nationals game. Suite was wonderful. Great view of the stadium and the water.
- 5/5
This place is a gem if you're looking for hassle-free access to downtown DC or catching a Nationals game. It's just a short stroll to the metro and an even quicker hop to the ballpark. The staff was warm, welcoming, and truly went out of their way to make our stay enjoyable for the whole family. Whether you're traveling with kids or in town for business, this location checks all the boxes. Highly recommended!
- 5/5
Has filtered water around clock that was very helpful
- 5/5
It was pleasant experience
- 4/5
It was ok
- 5/5
Felt very safe and the staff was very kind and helpful
- 5/5
Great stay and close to everything. It’s a little difficult to locate because it’s in the middle of the block, but once you do, everything is quite convenient.
- 5/5
Area was amazing if going to a game at Nationals Park. It is lively, there’s great food and drink options, and seems to be safe. The only negative thing that I have is we got a stadium view room but there’s a parking garage that blocks the actually view of the field and can only see a few rows at the top of the stadium.
- 5/5
convenient to nationals stadium safe inside but gets rough outside
- 5/5
This hotel is perfect for a Nats game. The stadium entrance is literally across the street from the hotel. There are tons of restaurants and a metro station in the same block as the hotel. The rooftop bar is cool, we listened in on a concert at Nats stadium one night. You probably wouldn't be able to see any baseball from the roof (blocked by the parking deck solar panels) but could probably hear what was happening in the stadium enough to make it fun. The breakfast was good, standard Hampton inn fare, staff were all friendly. The area is walkable, there's waterfront dining nearby. We ate at Swizzler next door to the hotel, burger was delicious--highly recommend. Saturday morning after a Friday night game the hotel lobby was slammed...standing room only at breakfast and seemed like a lot of people were just taking food up to their room. Valet was quick, staff was quick to supply extra towels when needed. We spent a little more on a hotel than we would typically spend on an excursion but we wanted to be able to leave the game and not worry about transportation and we like the navy yard area.
- 5/5
Was unsure where to park and called front desk. He ran outside and met us in the street to show us where valet parking was. Super friendly
- 5/5
it is very near to all places I needed to go
- 3/5
Parking is a big problem in this area
- 3/5
AC did not work very well in the hotel. Other than that it was a great stay. But total made up for it by completely parking.
- 5/5
Very close to Nationals Park. Lots of places to eat near by. Clean rooms. Great breakfast.
- 4/5
Water dispenser in the lobby was amazing. Perfect way to stay hydrated!
- 4/5
Loved the free breakfast, water dispenser in lobby, and rooftop area. The beds were very comfortable as well with convenient location to metro, Nationals Park, and Starbucks. I would avoid street-side room, can get very loud at night on the street.
- 5/5
Great area and staff was quite helpful.
- 5/5
We had a great stay at Hampton Inn-Washington DC. Great location, across the street from the National Park. We will definitely return.
- 3/5
great that it's across the street from Nationals park
- 5/5
Friendless of staff was 10/10. Convenient location!
- 4/5
It was mostly great. Only issue was elevators. There were 2. One broke. Every guest who was trying to check out or come down to breakfast was competing with the hotel cleaning staff and their big carts.
- 3/5
Very crowded and only 2 elevators. Breakfast was NOT good. Room was OK... Bed was not.
- 4/5
Otherwise, the staff was helpful, the rooms clean and well appointed, and breakfast had a nice selection. Ms. V was wonderful, helpful and helped make the stay extra special. Despite the elevator issue, I would choose this location again.
- 5/5
Great location! Walkable to plenty of restaurants. The breakfast was pretty good and staff was friendly. It was very hot in DC so it would’ve been great if there was a pool.
- 4/5
Vallet was full upon arrival and had to find parking on my own.
- 4/5
Overall, I liked the hotel and the staff was great. I only gave it 4 stars because the hotel was full and 1 of the two elevators broke, so it took considerable time to get to or from your room to anywhere.
- 2/5
Knowing that there was a major event happening, there was only one elevator working for the whole hotel and never saw it being worked on. Hotter than usual temps made it miserable in the main loft and elevator. The water machine should have been flavored but only had the choice of plain water. No other water on the other floors. So you had to go all the way down, waiting for that one elevator to come by. The room was smaller then imagined and the ac struggled to maintain the temperature in the room. Valet service should have been staffed with more workers to accommodate the rush of guest for the event. Over all very dissatisfied with the stay for the price. Recommend not to stay there. But I will give the staff a five for being calm and kind.
- 4/5
Super busy weekend for the hotel and they only had one elevator in service.
- 3/5
Friendly front desk staff. Some issues: either two elevators aren’t enough for this size hotel or very slow. waited a very long time every time used them. Good free breakfast. Parked elsewhere to save a ton…$70/night ridiculous. i found $20. In room, there is no dresser. just closet with hangers. very odd. Toilet seat doesn’t stay up…not good for men. shower floor was dirty and also stays very slippery. no rubber mat to put down. good fridge/freezer. clean room. decent bed.
- 2/5
Limited television options. Could not use firestick to watch apps. TV in gym had no controls and no volume. TV on treadmill no sound. Breakfast usual blah blah. Management failed to contact us as promised, so poor service there. I got a cup of coffee from the lobby. It was cold, but not a problem until I tries to warm it in the microwave. Oops, no microwave in room. This has been a pretty standard feature min motel rooms for at least 30 years. for the raste they charge, Hampton should do better.
- 4/5
Very good location anything you want is within walking distance. I'd say it could use a bit better cleaning in bathrooms and please hire good maintenance teams its crucial. A few issues with maintence quality. Overall good hotel I would stay again.
- 5/5
Love the proximity to the Nationals Ballpark and surrounding restaurant/bar area.
- 4/5
The LED display on the alarm clock did not show well. The time could not be read. The sliding door on the shower stall would not stay closed. Each time it was closed, it would roll back to a position about half way open. I had to stuff a wet wash cloth on the track to keep the door closed and to keep shower water from going on the floor outside the shower.
- 5/5
Very convenient to Nationals Park and transportation. Very clean and well kept.
- 5/5
Perfect location close to Nationals Stadium. Lots of restaurants in the area.

It was just fine.
- 5/5
This was the perfect location. We went to the Nationals game and we were just steps away!
- 5/5
The mandatory $60 for valet parking was a surprise, I'd prefer to be able to self-park. Breakfast could be extended to 11. It was a very nice place to stay and right by the ball park. Good eating options right there. Friendly staff. The room was big enough and it was clean. Good AC, if a little humid feeling. Otherwise it's 5 stars.
- 5/5
The location was perfect! Staff was very knowledgeable and accommodating.
- 5/5
The staff was very helpful.
- 5/5
Perfect for a mats game and dc acces
- 4/5
Podrían mejorar las opciones de desayuno.
- 5/5
Welcoming and friendly staff, clean hotel and wonderful rooftop bar!
- 5/5
Check in was smooth and everyone was very nice. Really loved the rooftop happy hour.
- 1/5
This hotel was incredibly inflexible with our situation, and to make matters worse, we had a very negative interaction with someone named "Bobby," who claimed to be the manager. He was extremely rude and unhelpful. If you can, I recommend avoiding this place and booking elsewhere.
- 3/5
Staff was amazing. All in all the stay was great. The only area of improvement for me was the mattress was absolutely terrible. Time to upgrade from the old metal springs!
- 3/5
Staff at desk was outstanding. We did not know No room service unless you ask . We had to ask for towells. Ares
- 5/5
People were super friendly and helpful! The pillows could be better. They were super thin and not so comfortable or supportive.
- 4/5
Great hotel for being close to Nat's park. Plenty to do in the walkable area. LARGE police presence, as the news reported that there had been issues with juveniles in the area, but I saw none of that (thanks MPD!). Only issue was that I had to check out of hotel a day early for work. I had pre-paid for my entire stay. The hotel refused to refund me for the extra day. So, be fair warned-NEVER pay in full in advance. I also will not stay here again because of this-too many honest options in the area. That was shady Hampton Inn...
- 1/5
Christain was our check in clerk. He gave us room keys for room 304 and then checked in the next people and gave them the same room keys 304. We were unpackaging in 304 and I was changing my clothes and strangers come walking in our room because they had the same room and keys assigned. Very scary, dangerous and unsafe. I was terrified. No compensation was given. Very poor customer services. The bathroom door handle fell out right in our hands, the alarm clock did not work. The business below us played very loud music each night till 3am the air conditioner was very loud. Was not the perfect stay.
- 4/5
great place to stay - close to Nats park. Room was comfortable and clean. Breakfast was good.
- 5/5
Great location for a Nats game. Friendly, hard working front desk and rooftop staff.
- 1/5
My reservation was not in the system and the room they put me in was small, like real small. It was just a terrible experience.
- 5/5
Love the property nice roof top bar convent but pricy valet parking. Will stay again and recommend
- 5/5
The included breakfast was awesome as well. The view of the water from the hotel was beutiful to take in. I definitely felt safe the whole time. I had questions and i got great insight while visiting DC. They accomidated my last minute request of doing somethings to acknowledge me and my husband 5th wedding anniversary and when i return it was beautifully set up. I definitely will return because they were great friendly and the atmosphere was definitely welcoming. Thanks Manager Mr. Bobby and staff for making our stay worth the trip!!.
- 5/5
Excellent two night stay here. Terrific rooftop bar and seating area that looks over to the Nationals stadium. We were able to park across the street which was convenient. Will stay here again.
- 5/5
Everything is very walkable. Great location for Nats park.
- 4/5
Valet parking was expensive $60.00 US per day
- 5/5
Staff was great
- 5/5
Great staff, hotel was clean and close to the metro. A little hard to find, and outside was a bit of a mess, not the hotel’s fault though. I’d stay again!
- 4/5
Great location for events at stadiums!
- 5/5
The staff was very good, very friendly and really looked out for me. I appreciate that.
- 5/5
Excellent hotel with excellent staff. Excellent rooftop bar. The go to location for Nats, DC United and Spirit Games.
- 4/5
The only thing I did not like was having to use valet parking. It was hard too get into the space in front of the hotel, and then you were limited by their hours of operation, and no access to your vehicle. Otherwise, really nice stay.
- 5/5
Excellent location, great service and reasonably priced!
- 3/5
Room was not clean! Found many hair remains!
- 5/5
the staff was wonderful...Christian and Andrew at the front desk know great service. and the lovely older gal in food service at breakfast was as delightful.
- 5/5
My husband expected larger towels. They were fine for me. Room seemed on dark side even with all available lights on. Would be nice to have glasses or small cups in bathroom.Everyone was pleasant, friendly and helpful. Loved the rooftop. My special needs son was comfortable watching the baseball game. I got to enjoy a beer or two, which were pricey but I needed them after a challenging day. Close to a lot of sites but unable to see this trip. Would go back in the future.
- 4/5
Parking is expensive and watch if you go when there is an event. Parking almost doubles.
- 4/5

- 5/5
Great experience!
- 5/5
Always a great stay. This location is our “go to” every time I’m in DC. Great for Nats games, DC United, Spirit, and awesome dining everywhere. The rooftop bar is always a great choice. We love it.
- 5/5
We come to DC from NY often to visit our daughter attending Law School. The staff here is always courteous, attentive, and kind. Checkin is always quick and efficient. There are great places to eat and easy access to the Metro. We’ll be here many more times this next 2 years.
- 4/5
The hotel is only 3 min walking to metro station, planty of restaurants and bars around, great connection to the Mall and museums you want to see. The hotel is nice and clean, the bed was very comfortable, bathroom clean. The complementary breakfast is nice. The only negative about the area - especially during the weekend it's very popular area to party. The clubs are open till 3 am and it's very noisy. The hotel would need better windows isolation. You can really hear everything what's happening on the street and there are two clubs just under your windows.
- 5/5
Very helpful and polite staff. I’d stay here again in the future
- 5/5
Great front desk for check in and check out. Fun time watching the game from the rooftop bar
- 3/5
Location location location
- 2/5
The reviews & photos online are very misleading! I thought this hotel was going to be much nicer. The rooms are very dark and dingy, the couches in the lobby are warm out. The staff hardly speaks English, they have 1 valet person so it takes you 30 plus minutes to get your car. Overall not impressed at all!
- 5/5
Everything was great. The staff is very pleasant

Efficient. Effective. Easy. Perfect
- 5/5
My stay was made more enjoyable by the warmth, friendliness and hospitality of their employees. Starting with Dana, the Front Desk clerk who got me registered for a room, ahead of the usual check-in time. Also, Allen and Angel from the Front Desk also provided service by securing a taxi for my return to the airport. I wish I got the name of the "breakfast lady" who made good recommendations from the breakfast menu, and another male front desk clerk, who assisted me when the door lock malfunctioned, as well as the young man who came to replace the battery in the door lock to assure that I would be able to enter/exit without incident. As a solo traveler, it makes me feel welcome to have such friendly and willing assistance from the hotel staff.
- 3/5
The bathroom sliding door was extremely heavy and could only be opened with my husband’s help—it required lifting and pulling from the outside, which was very inconvenient. Additionally, the refrigerator in the room didn’t work at all during our stay, even after turning it to the highest setting right after check-in. Overall, while the hotel has potential, the service and room functionality need serious improvement.
- 5/5
Staff was friendly and helpful. Hotel was very clean. And I liked that they have valet.
- 5/5
Awesome place to stay close to all the areas I needed to get to
- 5/5
The hallway to the elevators and the lobby are are somewhat cramped and busy, but that is not a big deal.
- 5/5
Very friendly staff!!! Great location! Loved it

I appreciated that they let us keep our baggage there while we waited for our flight time.

It was also kind of funny because ahead of my stay the hotel had sent me multiple messages to download their app to create a digital check in pass, which I did but after all that, it turned out you still have to check in at the front desk and obv they couldn't 🙄 The room itself was nice, location was great!

It was pretty good, I stayed on Valentines Day with my Wife we enjoyed ourselves for the most part.

Even though the chicken time is 3pm , they checked me in at 1:30pm which I appreciate very much.

Staff was really good and room was clean and nice. Area was convenient and had a lot to do. Only downside was it was really loud. Bars nearby blast music outside (inexplicably as it was Feb so no one was outside) and you can hear it in the rooms. I was woken up both nights at 1:30 when the bars got out and people were really loud on the street. It’s such a shame as other than the nose level the property was great

We were there for three nights. I did have some complaints as we were checking out this morning and they told me to handle them for you. They were flying bugs in our our sink last night and this morning. Also I told them I was woken up three times last night because the heater made a loud whining noise when it turned on. I do not think I should pay for the third night. They agreed but said I have to go thru Expedia. Please help! Thank you

This was a very good hotel for this price point. I chose this over other hotels due to the free breakfast. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The rooms were spacious and clean. There are plenty of places to eat and hang nearby.

The room was spotless, beautifully decorated, and equipped with all the amenities needed for a comfortable stay. The bed was incredibly cozy, and the view from the window was breathtaking. Housekeeping did a fantastic job maintaining cleanliness throughout my stay.

Proximity to tons of eateries and the stadium makes it a favorite. The complimentary breakfast is worth getting up for.

Great stay with very helpful staff. Didn't know I don't get honors points if I didn't book through the app.
- 3/5
Staff was very nice and property was clean. The reason for 3 stars was because of how hot the room got, and how loud the ac unit was. It cut on and off and everytime it came on was very loud. Overall good stay, but room noise/ ac could’ve been better.

Convenient

Ac very noisy, brakefaat area personal was very rude!! Per my wife, front desk very nice and helpful

We had a great time with the kids and very close to the metro station.

Cool place with a lot of places to drink and eat and be merry.

Front desk clerk was great helped me find food after a late checkin. Older African American gentleman was great, can't remember his name.
- 5/5
The room was too hot and would not cool down unless you turned on the noisy ac; a front desk employee with a short temper made me feel unwelcome; the next room guests blasted the TV through the night. So, no, not a good experience.

Was hard to find. Bed was not like most Hampton inn beds. Not awful but not great. Super clean. Desk/ concierge didn’t know where a restaurant was… it was right across parking lot.

Very close to my office location with lots of restaurant's within walking distance. Little noises with the airport being located close by but not horrible. Would stay again.
