Reviews
The hotel reviews indicate a mix of positive and negative experiences. While guests appreciate the convenient location, friendly staff, and clean rooms, they express dissatisfaction with the lack of staff, poor breakfast service, and dirty pool area.

The pictures don’t reflect the status of the hotel it’s under construction and our door didn’t even have a cover. The shopping center is closed as well not like it shows in pictures.

Central location. We loved it here!

Very disappointed I’ve been going to Embassy suites since I was a kid. This hotel was hot. I mean like hot like you were outside. It was very outdated. My room had paint peeling off the cabinet in the bathroom. The tub wouldn’t drain properly.. The curtains were weird sat knee orange color from like 20 years ago. The windows were extremely dirty. Parking was very inconvenient along with trying to access the elevator to get to your car. Would not stay here again.

I always choose Embassy Suite when I travel with my family or alone. I rank this one an average. We arrived late Saturday evening and managed to set the sofa bed for kids and left early Sunday morning. When we came back late in the evening, the sofa bed was placed back. However, all the bedding was gone without replacement. Also, the bathroom soap bar was gone without replacement either. Luckily, the front desk lady gave us extra sheet and soap bar. It seems that the hotel is short of hands on weekends or lack of communication between staff. The hotel location is excellent, right on the red line subway. But the entire mall looks empty and no business (seems deserted). The breakfast is good, but only thing weird is they DON'T provide yogurt on weekends (if you want it, you have to secretly ask the breakfast lady, who was kind enough to find two for our kids). The hotel is spacious and has a lot of parking under the mall. Tip: if you pay at the gate, it's only $26/per day (24 hrs).

The hotel itself is just beautiful! The rooms are quite spacious and the natural right from the large windows is a huge bonus. The breakfast was fresh and delicious. Fresh towels are available in the pool area so you don’t have to bring towels from your room. The bathroom left a little to be desired but overall, we had a wonderful stay and will definitely be back again!
- 2/5
Staff was HORRIBLE. Asked for towels twice, no one came. Called the front desk multiple times, never an answer. Food left in hall for days. When mentioning to the front desk the response was “tell my f*cking manager, I’m here alone”.
- 4/5
Excellent made-to-order breakfast. Room was spacious but ‘old’ in decor. Accessibility of elevators to lobby and rooms is poor. Not enough front desk staff at peak times. Good location.

I loved the breakfast layout; it was amazing. The pool and jacuzzi were pretty nice.cleanliness. the way the room is set up is really nice to; how it's like separate bed rooms. The window showed trains which is my sons life so he especially loved watching them pull off. A 1 The cleaniness. The curtains in the shower looked like it was bled on. The sheets had to be changed. Someone's glasses were left under the bed.the count tops had stains. There were water stains on the ceiling which made the property look less appealing.
- 5/5
Daily breakfast was great! We had a group of seven people ( 3 were children) and it was a perfect way to start the day.
- 2/5
The cleaning staff was exceptionally helpful and courteous. However, the front desk staff’s performance was subpar. The breakfast was satisfactory until my daughter discovered a hair in her fruit loops. Upon contacting the front desk, I was met with no assistance. As per the hotel’s instructions, I sent an email, but unfortunately, no response was received. Consequently, I have given the hotel a two-star rating due to the lack of follow-up and concern from the staff. Despite this issue, the hotel overall is a pleasant establishment.

The property was right over the metro station which made getting around DC so convenient. Breakfast was very large selection.
- 2.5/5
Staff are welcoming and always smiling every time there is guest approaches the reception. When we entered the suite, for me, it was clear it had not been cleaned properly. The floors were sticky, and the bedsheets had an unpleasant odor. I’m also allergic to dust and was sneezing throughout our entire stay. Cleanliness is essential to a hotel’s reputation, and this experience fell well below expectations.
- 4/5
Great kitchenette, made it easy to leverage the prime location above Trader Joes. Lots of space for solo traveler. You had to take a separate lift / escalator from ground floor up to reception, then again to your rooms.
- 2.5/5

Very nice breakfast with a wide selection. The gym also has a lot of options and machines. The hotel itself can be hard to find, and hard to get in and out of, particularly after hours.

I definitely recommend this hotel my wife and I stayed here and really enjoyed ourselves will definitely be back

Room was not clean. NO power outlets worked. Pull out couch was terrible. Dead batteries in TV remote control. Only one functional elevator in Embassy Suite atrium.
- 3.5/5
Breakfast was great and convenient. Lovely staff down there. Beds were very comfortable and both check in and check out weee very easy. We had issues with accessing the pool on Saturday and Sunday because they rent it out to a swim school. We were basically thrown out of the pool area by the swim school and hotel staff wasn’t prompt in resolving this issue. Rooms were not very clean, with some stains on doors

Hotel is a little shabby, but ita clean and has all the amenities. The room/suites are large and comfortable. The breakfast is great with lots of options. Location is top notch - two grocery stores, several restaurants, and the metro all within a block. Neighborhood is quite safe. Great for families.

Muy tranquilo para familias el desayuno fue excelente hecho en el momento tanto como desayuno continental lo recomiendo totalmente
- 5/5
Great location. Easy access to Metro. Breakfast and Manager's reception are great amanities. Suite is much more comfortable for two people.
- 3.5/5
breakfast in general was good. It could have been even better with more options such as parfait, fresh fruits etc. but no complaints. afternoon drink is a nice touch. Keep it up! Parking cost and validation process was not a great experience. Solution: give guests a parking key card or embed that option into the room key like Las Vegas does. Subsidize the parking cost to $20 for multiple entry, rather than 36 dollars with front desk manual validation each time one goes out - that was not a good CX.

We were very impressed by the entire place. The rooms and hotel felt very private despite being in DC. The staff were extremely helpful, the parking deck was easy to maneuver and use, and the room itself was extremely comfortable. At check-in, we were also given “coupons” that gave us free snacks and drinks in early evening and they had a small but good complimentary breakfast.
- 2/5
Not enough staff
- 5/5
We stay at this hotel whenever we come to DC. It suits our needs and the staff are always helpful.
- 4/5
Location was good and use of drive in drive out garage was easy.
- 3/5
It is time for a refresh! The carpets are worn, the workout facilities are fair at best, and the entire building needs a deep cleaning and better lighting.
- 5/5
The breakfast was amazing! The staff were all very professional and polite.
- 4/5
The hotel is in a very convenient place. Traders Joe’s/places to eat in walking distance and take the metro that’s located at the bottom floor one stop and you get to Target and other places to eat. The hotel itself is very dated but had a nice setup. The downers being the shower that didn’t seem to work right, toilet had low pressure and the chair that I think had chocolate on it (I hope). Bed was very comfortable and good selection on the TV. Breakfast was kinda early but was pretty good, they give you lots of options and wasn’t too crowded. The plaza itself is empty but I liked it because it gave backrooms so that’s fun. There’s a lot of elevators in the building so just remember which floor to get too. The pool is closed at times because of the classes they hold but if you’re planning to swim probably do it at 8-9ish pm. Very heavy chemical smell so prepare your nose. The locker rooms are great tho shower and everything. I think you have to pay for WiFi but I didn’t worry about that because my hotspot sufficed. Staff was helpful, parking is kinda confusing because of the shared parking, very clean too. Overall would definitely stay again the location(and breakfast) is just that good.
- 5/5
Great place for a couple nights stay!
- 2/5
One elevator was down so one elevator for all floors was crazy.
- 5/5
Clean rooms, HVAC that actually adjusts in the room, great room set up, subway a block away and free breakfast!!!
- 3/5
This hotel used to be much better. The mall that it sits atop is now totally deserted (no shops), so it’s a bit depressing. Hotel food is mediocre at best. Room was clean. Staff worked very hard and were very friendly and helpful. The location is great. Right above the Friendship Heights redline metro station. That gets you to the zoo in just a few stops and downtown in 20 minutes to the monuments and sights. There are also public buses from in front of the hotel that go down Wisconsin Avenue to Georgetown (takes 20-30 minutes). So it’s very convenient.
- 5/5

- 4/5
Breakfast was amazing.Facility was so beautiful. I didn't like that the receptionist who checked me and my family in didn't tell me everytime before i leave the parking like to come to the desk so the can clear the fee.Thankfully the receptionist told us when we went to check out
- 3/5
Breakfast was very good. Freshly cooked and not the same thing every day. Elevators are terrible. They were all never working at the same time. You have to pay to park and if you leave you pay and then have to get a new ticket when returning. Rooms were clean and well taken care of.
- 2/5
• hair left in the shower curtain • questionable brown smear on the bathroom doorway • bath drain was slow • difficult to pull plug on tap to make ALL the water come through shower head. • poor water pressure in shower • light-pollution from the bathroom night light and the atrium (because the curtains don’t close fully), as well as the microwave, AND from under the doorway was disruptive. • could hear the person upstairs using the toilet • the front desk was difficult to reach by telephone on more than one occasion. • elevators always had dirty floors with rubbish or water • on-site management was unreachable. Never made contact with me despite request. • The doors of other rooms were always slamming shut. Very loud and loud enough to wake us. Soft-shut hinges would help.
- 5/5
Rooms were very clean snd comfortable, convenient parking. Breakfest wss fresh snd well prepared.
- 1/5
The room was filthy, and I had members of my wedding party stay there as well because it was close to the Maggiano's Little Italy where we were having the wedding. They told me they found what appeared to be bedbug stains on the bed. This hotel should be shut down. It was disgusting, dirty, and has no business charging people money for conditions like this. I would never stay here again or recommend it to anyone. Unfortunately, this hotel ruined my wedding day.
- 5/5
Amazing breakfast and room was spacious.
- 3/5
Breakfast was average, juices and milk were always warm. Staff could be friendlier. Rooms need serious updating, feel dated and old. Decent value for the money, super easy access to Metro, but would not stay again until place is refurbished.
- 3/5
The breakfast was freshly prepared by site in an open format, made to order omelettes. The double room is 2 full size beds too small, furniture outdated for the price, you have to pay for parking, in the evening you have to be buzzed in to check in took about 10 minute wait for someone to let me in. Hotel is shared with office space building and whole foods- very big building- a lot going on. When I was there, building alarm system testing maintenance at 7:30am. Positives: location, breakfast and room size, cooking staff were nice, negatives: outdated, small beds, pay for parking, evening check in process, room cleanliness.
- 3/5
The proximity to the Red Line is the best feature.
- 4/5
Did not go to breakfast
- 5/5
OMG! We had a wonderful stay at the Hotel. The breakfast was great, everything was very clean, and the overall experience was excellent. The staff and facilities were fantastic, and we had no complaints at all. Highly recommend this hotel to other travelers! Thank you so much for your service.
- 5/5
Great breakfast staff. Rooms were up to date and clean. Recommend!
- 3/5
Having stayed there many times over the years due to location, the premises is in the decline phase. It’s in need of a major update. Breakfast is good, not great. Cleanliness needs improving and the “energy” of the hotel is quite low. Overall, not up to the Embassy brand standards.
- 1/5
Staff was rude, rooms were dirty & they use their pool for swimming lessons, so guest don’t have access at those times.
- 5/5
Great spacious rooms! Nice selection of breakfast items!
- 2/5
I entered the building by a leaving patron because no one was at the front desk for at least 30 minutes. No one answered the telephone either. When I checked into my room, big pieces of paint were literally chipped away inside the tub. The only reason I gave staff three stars is because the receptionist quickly gave me a refund with no hassle. I would not recommend this place to anyone. I was willing to spend more than $300 for one night in a room that was worse than a motel… not to mention it was outdated.
- 4/5
Staff super helpful. Rooms comfortable. Pillows not so no good.
- 5/5
Staff very friendly and helpful
- 3/5
I like the property, only thing i didnt like the pool close early because the member use it after at 7pm
- 3/5
It’s an Embassy Suites-could not get in the building at 10:30 at night. In a pinch it’s fine but not a fan.
- 2/5
We were disappointed in our 4 day stay. Our room was never cleaned, even after 2 specific requests at the front desk. There was no parking available on property for our truck. Desk staff was not helpful, and the manager has yet to return my call. On a positive note, breakfast was awesome, as was the staff there. But, we won’t be back.
- 5/5
The stay at this hotel was really awesome. The furniture is a bit run-down, but well, the vibe, location, parking, suits, and everything at that great a price made up for it.
- 4/5
Best part of this hotel is location- can’t be beat- Friendship Heights metro stop is across the street!! The room was huge with a separate sitting area w microwave, little fridge, couch, and door that separated it from the bedroom. Bedroom was also huge. Pillows were soft and perfect. Room was tired and needed a facelift, but it’s not a big deal. Breakfast was fine. Staff was nice. Trader Joe’s is literally below the hotel which was super convenient. They also gave complimentary vouchers for a nightly happy hour (we didn’t go, but that was a nice perk). We ate one nights at Lia’s (4 min walk)- delicious Italian food- highly recommend!
- 3/5
Having stayed at this Embassy destination many times over the prior years, I find that it’s in the decline stages. Older, in need of updating, only its location leads me there. Breakfast is good and the room size is adequate, but the entire experience less much to be improved.
- 5/5
Breakfast was good
- 5/5
Great job Embassy Suites! First Class!!
- 3/5
The breakfast buffet was not great. Items were greasy. For the price it was not worth it. Location was great and the distance to the METRO was extremely convenient.
- 1/5
Friday evening, the pool was “closed” for a swim school. They allowed my children to swim in one very small section (after we made it a point that it was bs) and when they started acting like children (ex: laughing, yelling, jumping in the pool) the swim school “instructor” proceeded to scream at them very aggressively. It was completely uncalled for and not okay. Not a fun time for 3 7 year old boys. Then, the following morning our plan was to swim after breakfast before our plans for the day. Well, the pool was closed again for “swimming lessons”. They made it known and my children were only allowed in the hot tub. While I understand that a swim school “rented” the pool out, this should have been on the website at booking. The hours the pool are available to PAYING guests should be listed. I would not have stayed here if I knew the pool would be closed not one but twice within our 24 hour stay.
- 5/5
The concierge was perfect! Great customer service and a warm personality. I needed an accommodation and he helped me...I have a disability so i needed assistance. I live staying here.
- 5/5
Had a wonderful stay! Perfect location and wonderful staff! The room was spotless ,and we loved the breakfast variety.
- 5/5
We had an excellent stay! The complimentary breakfast with make-your-own omelet station was great and set us up for a day of sight-seeing. The metro station is under the hotel, so it made getting around the city super easy. The complimentary happy hour was a wonderful way to wind down in the evening. Our only complaint is that we picked this hotel because of it's indoor pool and there were two days where we were limited to a tiny fraction of the pool in the afternoon because of overlapping swim lessons. Our kids were pretty disappointed since that's what they look forward to most at a hotel. A heads up would have been greatly appreciated so we could have planned around the hours better (there's a sign saying when the pool is completely closed but not when it's mostly closed to hotel guests). Other than that, we have no complaints and would definitely stay here again.
- 3/5
Room was outdated and didn’t match the pictures on the website. The A/C was not working properly. When I talked to the front desk about the A/C she was very nice and had someone come to fix it in a timely manner. The A/C started working better but still not sufficient. The bathroom floor was dirty and we had to clean it. The rest of the room and beds were clean and comfortable. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good and the staff there were very friendly. The pool and hot tub were good and the area was clean. Only one elevator was working while we were there. The location of the hotel was great with a metro station and entrance through the hotel. Restaurants and shopping were in close proximity. If you drive anything other than a car you are probably going to need oversized parking and it’s limited. The hotel was cheaper than other options and that’s why we ended up staying there. All in all the hotel wasn’t horrible and I would stay there again if I couldn’t find a better or cheaper option.
- 1/5
Booked through Expedia but the hotel over booked themselves and didn’t honor our stay.. had to scramble to find a new hotel on the evening of arrival. Awful experience!!
- 4/5
Comfortable room. Decent breakfast with freshly made omelets. Staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. Hot tub was hot, but no bubbles. Location was amazing with metro access onsite. Rooms could use some TLC, but clean and great price.
- 3/5
Evening happy hour with snack made it up for days we were back early. Room service was every other day, and simple towel replacement request from customer were never entertained. Small covered pool with time restrictions as they were lending some hours for outside training sessions. Metrorail under the building was the only ++ for the location and our stay.
- 4/5
Real fast was mediocre, our room had all the necessary things, but
- 2/5
The place is poorly run. The AC is so loud you have to shut it off. The pool is not available most of the time to guests as the local swim school rents it out. The hot tub doesn’t work. Parking is expensive and an unadvertised expense. The staff is not competent and appear to be tired. I would never stay here again.
- 5/5
Maria the receptionist was friendly she made me fell welcome I loved the happy hour with free snacks and alcoholic drink/beverage free parking free wifi and free breakfast I enjoyed my fresh omelet with veggies and cheese it was delicious 😋 bacon sausage home potatoes toast
- 4/5
Breakfast was fresh and the staff was very friendly and accommodating. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. However……if you need additional towels or bedding you need to go to the front desk to pick them up. Housekeeping was never available to deliver them.
- 2/5
The mattresses on both beds and the couch were awful! Left with back pain. Will never stay there again.
- 5/5
Conveniently located with the Metro stop right out front. Breakfast was excellent each day of our stay. The staff was friendly and helpful. The hotel is beginning to show a little age though ... . Our room was comfortable and clean, but it was odd that the beds were full size instead of queen, and the sofa bed was horrible.
- 5/5
Breakfast was great. Omelets made to order, fresh fruit and good coffee was a win!
- 3/5
Ac is in horrible shape
- 5/5
Nice large room. Friendly staff. Great location. Delicious breakfast included and happy hour.
- 5/5
Overall everything went great! Rooms are a bit dated and not in the best condition
- 5/5
Yes
- 4/5
The breakfast and staff were incredible, but as far as other amenities go, they failed to meet expectations. The pool was largely unusable due to constant swim lessons that went through the days and into the evenings (and made the pool cloudy)… and the gym was not well kept - many cardio machines were either broken and unusable or broken and mildly usable, but the weights were decent. The rooms themselves are quite dated and worn, but not the worst we’ve seen. Our tub was peeling and the rugs and furniture looked like they needed replacing about 5 years ago, but the bed was ok. Overall, fine, but not sure I’d stay again.
- 2/5
B fast ok. Hot tub unclean , broken
- 5/5
All was really good, without any issues or concerns. Staff were amazing!
- 5/5
Nice and friendly staff. Cute happy hour. The area was top tier. Room was clean and spacious.
- 5/5
Great place. Great good. Great staff
- 4/5
Only one washer and dryer were working. The staff at the front desk were so kind, helpful and quick but the ones in the dining area were the opposite. That plus the bathrooms nearby were the only things negative that we have to say about our stay.
- 3/5
It was okay
- 5/5
The only down side was when the cable we t out for an hour due to a rain storm. And the breakfast chef's can stand to be less aggressive . I thoroughly enjoyed my stay!
- 2/5
There are laundry machines and dryers- two of each. However, one washer was broken. The sofas were dirty - stained. Floor is adequate. Unsure how often they vacuumed. They seemed short staffed. Front desk took awhile to check in
- 5/5
Comfortable beds, clean rooms, friendly staff the on site restaurant was really good
- 2/5
The stay was disappointing overall. At check-in, we found out there was a deposit required for each room, even though both rooms were booked under one reservation. That should have been explained more clearly ahead of time. When we got to the rooms, the bed sheets were stained and had hair on them. After we reported it, the staff did change the sheets, which I appreciated. However, as soon as I walked into the room, my luggage snagged on the rug and lifted the corner, and there was visible dirt underneath. The TV in the living room area also did not work. The cleanliness and upkeep of the hotel were not up to par. There was a bug on the curtains, and the floors felt so dirty that you wanted to keep your shoes on at all times. You can tell this used to be a nice hotel with modern features, but it definitely needs better cleaning and maintenance. The parking situation was also awful. We were not given proper instructions on how to validate the parking tickets. One of the male staff members was very nice and did comp one of the parking charges, which I appreciated. Then, on the last day of our stay, we found out we were actually supposed to have been given a parking pass to scan daily. That information should have been provided from the beginning. The complimentary reception with free drinks was a nice touch, but the complimentary snacks looked unappetizing, so I would not recommend them.
- 5/5
Great hotel! No complaints!
- 2/5
A little communication could have gone a long way in service of guests at this hotel. There are no signs for parking from surrounding streets, front desk did not communicate cleaning schedule upon check-in, and we had to ask three times to get an extra pillow and blanket and for toiletries that were empty upon check-in. 1 of 2 elevators in the hotel was broken, and building escalators to the metro were also not working the entirety of our stay - since one in our party was had a knee injury, taking the stairs wasn’t a welcome option. Finally, the hotel did not communicate that the pool was unavailable to guests during certain times of day due to a private business using the pool for swim lessons. Had I known all of these things ahead of time, I would never have booked here. Not the Hilton stay I’m accustomed to.
- 5/5
We enjoyed the convenience of having restaurants nearby, relatively inexpensive parking, and having a Red Line Metro Station below the property that did not require going outside to access.
- 3/5
Cons: cleanliness+housekeeping, customer service Had to ask for a room change upon arrival due to uncleanliness (floor dirty and hair in bathroom). The new room offered had sheets that appeared food stained and used. We weren't willing to change the room again since it was clear that the housekeeping standards are low. When linen change was requested and not addressed promptly, we offered to change them ourselves if given a new set just to be told repeatedly that housekeeping staff had to do it themselves. Five hours later, we came back to the room to find that someone simply left incomplete sets of sheets on the counter for us to change. We had to go back to the front desk to ask for missing pieces. This place has terrible communication between staff and is unable to address basic customer concerns. Calls to the front are unanswered. During our stay we never saw clean towels by the pool side (9th floor), leading to more trips to the front desk (2nd floor). Parking is easily accessible. If you need in/out privileges then pay 35+ with validation through the hotel. With metro access, we paid daily rate of 26 at the garage, which is much more reasonable. On a positive note - the restaurant and breakfast staff were excellent, friendly, and incredibly attentive.
- 5/5
Very good
- 2/5
Room was VERY dirty, mild in the sink and used pads in the room.
- 5/5
Several of the electrical outlets in the room did not work.
- 3/5
The service was very friendly, and the location is perfect if you're going to be using the subway, as it's only a two-minute walk. The hotel needs remodeling, the cold breakfast is meager, and the snacks served during happy hour are completely unhealthy—chips, cereal, and cookies.
- 5/5
Super friendly and helpful staff. Room was clean and a great size. 5 stars for this hotel and location to metro
- 4/5
The breakfast was great! They also have a cocktail and snack hour each day. The pool area was nice except the drains around the pool needed to be cleaned and only a small portion of the pool was usable during a chunk of time in the afternoon/evening for guests due to being used for swim lessons.
- 1/5
The property painted the inside of both elevators when I was there. The warning about paint said “door jam” but it was all the walls. I had paint all over my coat because these elevators get backed and small children got on after me. The front desk would do nothing to help me with my coat. And were quite rude explaining they had signs. This was Sat Feb 14th! Valentine’s Day! The hotel was packed and I can’t tell you how many people had paint on their clothes. Who paints wood panel walls in both operating elevators on a weekend on Valentine’s Day? Their sign saying door jam was hand written and even spelled wrong. The “jamb” was metal and NOT painted. So my coat is ruined and the hotel staff did not care.
- 5/5
Breakfast was great! Rooms were pretty nice. Staff was friendly. Kids loved the pool. Overall we had a great stay.
- 5/5
Great location, short metro stop to all DC attractions. A number of restaurants within walking distance of the hotel. Daily breakfast and managers reception were great! Would definitely stay here again!!
- 3/5
Internet was an issue the entire visit, no front desk attendant cold assist with game console hookup with the tv, and everything closes between 7-8 pm.
- 5/5
Great stay and the breakfast and happy hour were a great touch
- 5/5
Excellent breakfast and free evening drinks and snacks. Beyond expectations.
- 4/5
Loved the breakfast and discounted parking, will be back

The room was spacious and very accommodating. I loved the vibe of the hotel snuggled away in a beautiful part of DC. I would return.
- 5/5
The WiFi was terrible
- 3/5
It’s a good location. Clean. Elevators kept braking down. No towels at the pool. One person at the breakfast had an attitude all the time but everyone else was nice. Rooms were big and clean.
- 4/5
Great location. Nice rooms. Good breakfast and happy hour. The pool is nice but it is often closed for private swim lessons so don’t count on it being available.
- 4/5
Shower rod was coming off wall, outlets in room were very loose. Top layer of tub was peeling off. Asked for additional towels and they were never brought up Very convient to transit. Otherwise it was fine.
- 1/5
Breakfast was ok. Breakfast staff was the highlight of the property. Pool and
- 1/5
They moved me to a second room, and when I checked under the mattress, I found a strange liquid stain that looked like blood. Between the roaches and the condition of the second room, I was extremely uncomfortable. Please be careful if you stay here. Check the AC vents, under the bed, and under the mattress. Seeing roaches during the day is usually a very bad sign. I have pictures, and I am not making this up
- 3/5
Housekeeping is non existent. Asked multiple times to have at least new towels and we ended up having to get them by ourselves every day. Front desk is courteous but not efficient. Last day before leaving they assured us that the parking was paid (it’s not included but we knew it ahead) and the ticket to exit had a QR code to open the gate, but we had to go back to the front desk (the garage is underground and it’s shared with multiple businesses) and have a new QR code. The best thing is that the hotel has direct access to the metro. So it’s convenient to travel downtown
- 4/5
Great Breakfast, on site parking, friendly front desk staff
- 3/5
I had to wait 40" beyond check in time for my room.
- 3/5
However, the rooms had a very musty smell and felt very damp. The shower also had a ring in the bottom to where it didn't appear clean, and the drain was backed up so water pooled around my feet. Right outside our hotel room there was a stack of old pizza boxes that was there nearly our whole stay. The stairway also smelt AWFUL.
- 4/5
Yes
- 2/5
The public bar was completely out of liquor. The escalator was out of service. For a hotel in an elite area of the Nation’s Capital, this was a great disappointment. It was very unkept and dirty.
- 2/5
The whole building feels like a landlord lipstick makeover. Interactions with staff were generally unpleasant including a restaurant worker complaining loudly to another worker 20 feet away about the patrons. I only booked this specific hotel for the indoor pool and it is off limits to hotel patrons several days a week for several hours at a time, generally prime swim time for a toddler. After the classes are over the pool is then full of children who are more or less unsupervised. The pool, hot tub, and water were incredibly dirty with actual particles of dirty and clumps of hair floating around in it. The room was weirdly hid (it's winter time) and hot despite the thermostat being 65F. The traffic outside meant we couldn't leave the windows open. Beds are hard. Pillows cheap. Spare blankets clearly unwashed. Water in bathroom sink wouldn't get hot. Faucet for tub was loose and moved a lot. Toilet handle was broken.
- 2/5
The bathtub had been painted and the paint was peeling off everywhere and it was laying in the tub and when I showered, it was sticking to my feet. It was disgusting. The whole bathroom was quite old and in disrepair. The elevator didn’t work. It was hard to navigate around from the hotel to the outside and the parking areas there is no good signage to direct to the hotel from the parking area, the pool was extremely cloudy and the hot tub wasn’t hot and it was all foam. It was disgusting and it left a film on your body. Not a very good experience for a Hilton location.
- 4/5
Room very clean
- 5/5
Overall, it was a very good experience! The breakfast buffet offered a lot of good choices and the staff were very helpful and attentive. The room was clean and had a mini fridge and microwave. The beds were made daily. The bathtub was a bit worn and not something I would have used, but the shower function was absolutely fine. The location is right above the Friendship Heights metro station, so super convenient for travel. There are also shops and restaurants right outside, as well as a Trader Joe's. I'd come back again!
- 5/5
Love it loved the food and bar !
- 5/5
Fabulous! The room was clean and stocked with everything one might need for an overnight stay. Breakfast was so good! I highly recommend Embassy Suites
- 4/5
Amazing
- 4/5
Clean rooms enjoyed the pool and breakfast was delicious
- 1/5
Just the whole thing
- 3/5
Breakfast is okay. But the only thing that was truly hot were the omelets freshly made. The sausage, bacon, French toast, and potatoes were room temp. The room I had was 8/10 clean. The bathroom could have been cleaner. I had to get the electrician to lower my temp. I set the thermostat to 66 and it was constantly running at 76-78. After he lower it, I still didn't get below 72. You can not set heat or air. Only auto and off. My toilet didn't flush well, and the remote to the bedroom tv didn't work. For me, the stay was not good just because I couldn't set the temp to what I wanted. I need a cooler room to sleep. But other than that, it was okay
- 5/5
Spotless room and the most comfortable king size bed ever!
- 3/5
My sheets and pillow had black dye on them. Gross. The shower wouldnt drain which limited a shower. The girl at the front desk didn't activate my room keys so i had to go back down to the lobby. I ordered dinner, burgers were amazing, but the buffalo wings tasted like someone poured salt on them. I had someone else try them too and they spit it out. I brought it back and asked for a differnt style, the chef said that all the wings were seasoned in salt and pepper they just add sauce. My sister had the bbq wings and hers were fine. But he insisted they would all be that way. I asked for a refund the girl said she couldnt do it because she didn't know how. The chef told me they were selling wings all day with 0 complaints but everyone has different tastes... IT TASTED LIKE SOMEONE WAS BEING FUNNY AND POURED SALT ALL OVER THE WINGS. I told him just forget it, then he offered me something else. I got a salad which was very good. On my way out, the same girl at the desk didnt properly validate my parking and I looked crazy holding up the line and had to call an attendant which took MORE time...not a good experience at all. I gave it a 3 because the morning cooks were very nice.
- 5/5
Highly recommend
- 2/5
No water, stood freezing outside for long periods of time to get buzzed in. Escalator turns off. My room had bad heat but not sure if it’s mine or unlucky. Still, not that nice. Felt a little beat up as well in the bathroom and some of the lights. Won’t go back
- 5/5
Clean room, big space and friendly staff.
- 4/5
Friendly staff. Decent breakfast, clean room.
- 4/5
Spacious comfortable room
- 3/5
Very nice staff and great room, just a weird vibe with it apparently used to be a mall but now feels empty. Really nice room though.
- 1/5
The bathroom wasn’t clean, especially the sink and toilet. I took a picture showing the inside of the bathroom sink, which was dirty. The Towel was smelling of Clorox. The breakfast buffet was very poor compared to the price.
- 4/5
The staff was nice. The pillows were amazing. The room was a bit run down in areas. The free drinks at happy hour were a welcome surprise; however, there wasn't much food included (just potato chips and tortilla chips, salsa, and cheese). They ran out of oatmeal at the breakfast buffet. With a bit of prodding, they were kind enough to make more. One of our party follows a plant-based diet, and the plant-based options at breakfast were limited.
- 3/5
Cleanliness could be improved
- 5/5
The staff were great particularly the front deck. Richard who works in the breakfast area on the 3rd floor is amazing. We remember him from previous stays. He is unfailingly courteous kind and always looking to help his clients. Richard goes above and beyond his duties to be helpful. We were so happy that he was still here after our many stays at Embassy Suites.
- 5/5
Staff was all very nice, I just wish they had the complementary breakfast to go.
- 5/5
Everything was terrific.
- 5/5
Great stay. Fantastic breakfast
- 4/5
It’s time for a renovation. The rooms are “clean” but the fixtures, furniture, paint, carpet , etc are worn and in need of a refresh.
- 5/5
I definitely will come back. Great breakfast buffet.
- 5/5
Yes
- 5/5
Clean rooms, great breakfast, great service, friendly staff, excellent location and very nice and comfortable rooms
- 3/5
In advertisement there is plenty of shops that appear to be open like a mall but only one store was open
- 4/5
Just the vibe but I paid for parking on here and then have too pay for parking there so sumbody owe me some money back
- 4/5
The room was clean and spacious. Everyone cooperative and courteous. Complimentary breakfast was decent but not outstanding. Good location for going on Meteo downtown. I believe the hotel should install a security system in elevator to restrict access to key holders only.
- 5/5
The service is great.
- 5/5
Awesome Experience!
- 5/5
Great service and staff.
- 3/5
Otherwise OK
- 5/5
Very clean
- 5/5
Great hotel near metro, shopping, and some food.
- 5/5
Clean and very friendly staff. lots of room and quiet.

- 1/5
Complained about the noise at 1am and at 5 am. Staff did respond but overall not a pleasant experience. Every movie is $25. Bring your laptop and stream.
- 3/5
The room was average nothing special. Guest services were pleasent and helpful. The breakfast crew and cleaning crew were very friendly and wonderful.
- 3/5
Nice place
- 3/5
This hotel is very convenient - attached to Friendship Heights metro station, lots of walkable places nearby, easy Uber pickup spots. However the hotel itself needs updating and some care. Phones in the room didn't work, so we had to walk down late at night to reception for pillows and blankets for the pull out bed. The pull out beds are very old so be aware if you plan to sleep on one, they don't have mattress pads either to help. Noisy outside the hotel with the "atrium" style: you can hear them setting up the breakfast buffet starting at 4:30am. Staff is very friendly and the breakfast buffet and omelette station was great.
- 5/5
Rooms were clean. Breakfast was great.
- 4/5
Free breakfast
- 5/5
Wonderful stay, clean, spacious rooms.
- 3/5
Staff was lovely. Problem with hot water in shower. But it finally came on
- 1/5
I booked through Orbitz/Expedia, everything was paid at booking and received the receipt. However, upon arrival at 10pm, they made me pay with my c/c (not a deposit) because they needed to "figure out something". I stayed only 1 day. The next day checking out, asking for a receipt (they actually charged my card so there should be a receipt). They say that since booking was through Orbitz/Expedia the system does not allow them to print any receipts for me. What??? 2. No vending machines with food. At reception they don't know where to get the food around. When arrived late (10pm) there was absolutely nothing to eat around (all closed) and the receptionist (night manager David) sent me to the place that was already closed. 3. Upon arrival at reception, asked for a charging cable for an iPhone. They don't have it. On top of that: (a) the USB outlet in the room is not working. (b) bathtub us rusty. (c) poor window sound insulation with only a single layer of blackout/ curtains. (d) the cleaning staff going into my room even as the reception agreed to do checkout by 1 hour later and even as you yelling to them through the door to come later.
- 5/5
We had a great stay. Great breakfast and happy hour and Great location too!
- 5/5
The room was spotless. The staff were excellent. Very quiet place. Nice amenities.
- 5/5
Excellent location on the metro. Very convenient with a few restaurants within walking distance. Third time we have stayed at this hotel.
- 3/5
Had to switch rooms because of standing water in the tub Staff not very attentive
- 4/5
Good breakfast, friendly staff.
- 5/5
Staff were incredible - super friendly and helpful. Room was great value and lots of dining options nearby.
- 2/5
2" COCKROACH in the room. While the staff were helpful in providing a different room, it was traumatizing to have to kill a roach of that size. It also seems that this hotel facility is not being upkept. Bathrooms had peeling paint, mildewy splotches, and a bacterial odor. This place gives Hilton and Embassy Suites a bad name. Location was the best thing about this hotel, right above the subway station.
- 5/5
Everything was great and staff very friendly and helpful
- 5/5
Toilet clogged but the room was otherwise great.
- 4/5
Great location, easy stay.
- 1/5
Bathroom dirty
- 2/5
I was very upset with my stay. I only stayed one night, but the room seemed dated and not super clean to me. Bit what made me mad was the fact that my shower didnt output any hpt water. I ran thag shower 30 minutes, NOTHING. Also, trying to get into the building after 1130pm was difficult. If it wasnt for someone coming put, I dont know how we wouldve gottne in. I dont plan on staying here again.
- 4/5
Always a good time
- 5/5
Loved this hotel. Great breakfast, good parking
- 4/5
Staff were very friendly
- 5/5
We had a great visit!
- 5/5
The hotel was very clean and the staff were very helpful but didnt use the laundry room because I carried a plastic bag to put my dirty washing in it and the breakfast was spot on.
- 4/5
Front desk staff was okay. Hotel room was decent, bed was hard. Nice breakfast staff and cleaning people.
- 5/5
Everyone was so friendly and helpful! Definitely would recommend to stay here to anyone!
- 5/5
Wonderful stay. Spacious suite.
- 5/5
Clean room, nice breakfast and happy hour. Great location with easy access to buses, metro & restaurants.
- 5/5
Nice
- 4/5
We struggled to make the television work properly. The remotes were sketchy
- 5/5
Room was clean, friendly staff
- 5/5
Excellent for families going to DC. Very easy access to the Metro.
- 5/5
Great hotel to stay at! Everything you need is in the area.
- 5/5
This was our second stay at the property, and we look forward to returning on future visits to Washington, D.C. The location is ideal for visiting our daughter, who is currently attending college in the area. We also appreciate the convenience and safety of the on-site parking. Thank you for another pleasant stay.
- 4/5
Refrigerator dirty. No Water bottles , were not brought up later. Water line broke during/before breakfast on Saturday. No hot water available!
- 5/5
We love Embassy Suite
- 4/5
The location is great with easy access to the metro. The mall it is located in is empty and the doors and escalators get closed at 10:00 pm making access to the building difficult.
- 4/5
Internet was fine for what I needed
- 5/5
The young woman who checked us in spoke very quietly and we had to ask her to repeat everything. We are in our 50's but not deaf and don't usually have trouble hearing. She then gave us an incorrect number of drink and breakfast tickets but once we got all of that fixed the stay was excellent as always with Embassy Suites. This location is right at the metro station but the signs from the station to the hotel were awful. Again once we figured olut the 3 elevator system yes 3 elevators it was great. Great area around hotel with places to eat and shop. If I ever return to the area I would stay again for sure.
- 2/5
Services were very poor. Front desk person customer service skills were extremely poor. With exception of managers Happy Hour Special, the were no bar services before 4 and after 7. Had to get toilet paper from inside women’s restroom, none in men’s restroom. Escalators were turned off at 10 every night, liability law suite waiting to happen. Hotel Managements response to everything was because of Covid. Spent six nights here for our son’s wedding, spent a lot of money here. Overall all experience was very poor.
- 5/5
The staff make this a great place to stay. Breakfast is beyond the usual-made to order omelettes and wonderful options. Happy hour also included. Pool and hot tub. Great location. The property is a bit dated in a former mall, but the location, perks and staff more than make up for it.
- 5/5
Staff is wonderful and accommodating
- 1/5
This stay was a disaster! The drinking glasses in my room had a roach in it. The front desk was not helpful. When i asked for any recommendations for restaurants the front desk person said they weren't from around the area and didn't know. the next morning the front desk had two employees that were having a very unprofessional verbal altercation, and i couldn't even approach to ask a question. The front desk staff also didn't have any answers about parking options for the hotel or the area. I used the "do not Disturb" sign for my room and someone came into my room and opened all the cupboards in the living room and kitchenette. The room keys would not open the fitness center, and the pool was always taken by swimming classes that keep the hotel guests out of the pool. This is the worst hotel i have ever stayed at.
- 3/5
The staff was very friendly! They were very helpful.the tub in the bathroom looks like the paint in The tub was chipping away. The mirror in the bathroom the mirror part was chipping away. When we went in and the room looked like it had not been dusted in a long while.
- 5/5
All in all, we enjoyed the stay very much and would recommend to anyone.
- 1/5
A lot of issues with stay. Ridiculous. Manager not helping. Shower wouldn’t drain. Standing in dirty shower water is gross. Coffee maker area sink not draining either. Drains clogged. Disgusting.
- 5/5
Great stay!
- 5/5
Great!
- 5/5
It’s unfortunate that there was not a lot of stores in the mall area, the hotel itself was perfect, staff gro melt qnd accommodating. I would definitely stay her again if in the area, short drive to down town dc
- 5/5
Clean and comfortable
- 5/5
By far the best stay I've ever had at a hotel. The staff is beyond friendly and accommodating. The breakfast is great and convenient. Everything is so clean and the beds are so comfortable.
- 5/5
The staff at the lobby desk was superb - especially Cindy who went out of her way to assist me. Additionally, all the staff members I encountered ( housekeeping, staff at the dining room) were very accommodating & friendly. The only thing negative is the workout room is so very warm & no fans. The equipment is very good though.
- 5/5
Free parking turned out to be not free.
- 2/5
Bad service.
- 3/5
Then, someone scratched up my car pretty bad in the parking garage (seemed to be like a key scratch, or maybe a bicycle/cart). Hotel reception said to contact their security, but security said they couldn't do anything or find anything), and I intentionally parked in front of their elevator camera on the second floor on 8/17. I wasn't going to call DC police about it, but overall, not a great experience.
- 3/5
Had to wait for employee to come out the back to get help when checking in. Beds were clean but the pullout sofa bed was old. Do not book this hotel for the breakfast or the welcome reception, they were both sub par. The welcome reception was just popocorn and some drinks from a makeshift bar. Parking is attached but they charge.
- 5/5
Convenient
- 1/5
Rooms were filthy and falling apart.
- 4/5
Please bring some retail stores back to the hotel area
- 3/5
The hotel is ok, it is clean, staff was very nice. However, it has a sense of abandonment, maybe because the mall it’s in is empty. The rooms are old, everything feels old. I personally did not like it, and preferred to move right away to a nicer and more lively hotel in Georgetown area.
- 5/5
Nice venue good stay
- 5/5
Registration clerk very efficient
- 5/5
Thoroughly enjoyed my 2-day stay. My daughter and I loved the Manager's Reception and omelettes for breakfast! I'd love to stay again!
- 4/5
The rooms are starting to show wear and tear and could use some TLC.
- 5/5
Convenient friendly and good price
- 3/5
Acquired lots of mosquito bites in the room.
- 2/5
Workout room was dirty, machines were rusty& no effort to clean or wipe down the machines. There was little to nothing to appreciate about this hotel experience. Could not ever recommend staying there ever.
- 5/5
This was perfect for our family. We couldn’t wait to get back to our hotel after long days touring DC. Would definitely stay here again.
- 1/5
When I was able to get into a room to finish the trip, the bathroom was dirty and the room was showing the wear and tear. I am currently getting them to remove overcharges from my credit card. They have been unresponsive and I have had to get the credit card company involved.
- 5/5
The free happy hour is great and breakfast is delicious with many options. Pool area is nice and clean. Love the hot tub too! Staff is extremely friendly and helpful.
- 5/5
This our second stay here and we loved it again. Can’t wait for our next trip.
- 2/5
The communication with respect to hotel parking and validation for guests by the front desk and parking attendants was poor and policies were unclear and the guest is left confused. The room was clean although it was dusty and some items are old and torn and/or chipped. In the bathroom there was no plastic cups or shower caps, make-up remover. I The breakfast was very good though.
- 4/5
We were there 5 nights and they only cleaned our room after the first night. We never got new towels, toilet paper or trash removal. Very disappointing!
- 3/5
The overall hotel lay-out was a little strange and alienating, not quite user friendly. The hotel lobby was on the 2nd floor instead of ground level. Multiple sets of elevators going to different floors was confusing to navigate at first. The included breakfast buffet was plentiful in options, and even had a dedicated omelette chef. However, though bountiful, it wasn't very good. There is nowhere in the immediate vicinity to get drinks / snacks, and the vending machine with coke products didn't work. The rooms are built around an enormous covered atrium courtyard, which seems it would be nice, but just had the effect of feeling like you were in a big empty cavern at the end of the world.
- 4/5
The service was great. The hotel looks and feels old
- 4/5
The staff was great
- 5/5
It was great.
- 4/5
Stuff was excellent. Breakfast perfect. Especially omelets!
- 2/5
TV not plugged in and maintenance not available to assist getting it running again
- 5/5
Enjoyed my stay
- 5/5
It was clean and the employees were very polite
- 5/5
nice area & rooms were clean 8/10
- 3/5
Property is an average 3 star hotel. Front Desk Agent Cindy lacks professionalism, upon arrival we were checked in, the room was dirty. We requested a change (not an upgrade but a mere change to a clean room). She refused to change us. A few hours later the midnight Agent, Maria, was kind enough to change our room. Overall property is in decent shape, budget friendly and in a convenient location.
- 2/5
The hotel room was nice, the bathroom....not so much. There was bugs in the bathtub(i think springtails), the grout was gross around the edges of the walls, there was a little bit of mold on the shower wall, and the toilet barely flushed... then we move to breakfast...The main reason i picked this hotel was because of all of the good reviews for breakfast...it wasnt good. It was so greasy...the eggs were gray...
- 5/5
I like the hotel irself.
- 5/5
The location was unique.
- 4/5
Sad that the mall is abandoned. Hotel is a litttle dated. Tables, chairs, door, etc had that sticky feeling like an old Dennys.
- 4/5
The stay was good but the sleep not so good the pillows very flat the bed hard
- 3/5
Good breakfast
- 4/5
All was very good, but breakfast quite crowded
- 5/5
Great experience!
- 3/5
Pros: location to shops, restaurants and downtown DC, continental breakfast was decent, there was an omlett bar. There was a complimentary drink option at the bar (not sure how it works because I didnt take advantage of it, so be sure to ask). The view from our window was nice. They have a recycling bin in the room and have option for glassware vs disposable for breakfast drinks (if you are a tree hugger like me). Neighborhood was beautiful. Cons: The beds were very uncomfortable felt like sleeping on a wood mattress with maybe a foam pad, same for pullout bed (maybe bring an air mattress for that person) furniture looked stained, toilet didn't always flush down on first try, if you love a hot shower the water either burns the flesh or freezes you, it was hard to find a perfect in between. Pool is shared with local swim class until 7pm so half is available to public, not really a problem unless you plan on using all day. If you want extra/more towels, wash clothes, TP you have to walk down and pick up or wait for the cleaning service. Overall it could use some updates but it was clean. I don't spend too much time in my rooms on vacation so cleanliness, the soft beds, cable tv and large and clean bathroom are a must as well as continental breakfast.
- 5/5
First time at this hotel. Hotel has on site self parking in parking garage attached to hotel building. Hotel located inside a pavilion with restaurants, offices, etc. Lots of shopping and food options directly outside of hotel as well. Easy, walkable area. Subway and Bus station directly across the street from hotel. Free breakfast for hotel guests with a made-to-order omelet station. Would recommend. Would stay again.
- 4/5
Always pleased with accommodations. Breakfast and happy hour add to our enthusiasm.
- 5/5
Fab hotel. Really close to Metro to get to main sites. Good parking, great breakfast and free drinks and snacks or an evening. Cheesecake factory located in hotel was lovely
- 4/5
There was a black mold type stain on the bedroom ceiling that may have come from a leak in the room above. The bathroom ceiling had hair stuck to it in many places. The bathtub was old. The room just did not feel clean. The building itself, lobby, eating areas, etc. were nice. Parking was $26 since we were only there 1 night and didn’t need in and out privileges.
- 5/5
Clean, comfortable, great breakfast
- 5/5
How easy it was to subway
- 5/5
You could not ask for a better location to access the metro and spend all day in DC! The hotel was clean and quiet and the rooms are layed out well for privacy
- 3/5
Fair
- 4/5
Nice stay - I was in a suite on the 4th floor facing the central dining area. The noise levels were high in the AM; not a problem for me but might be for others.
- 2/5
There was no restaurant available for lunch or dinner just a noisy and full sports bar at night. Parking exhorbitant. Noisy air conditioning. Limited TV only 15 regular stations. Wouldn't stay there again.
- 3/5
This hotel is in a great location, the metro station is connected underground. It is within walking distance to several restaurants and shopping. There was a reception every evening with free alcoholic/non-alcoholic beverages and snacks, free buffet breakfast, and a nice swimming pool. The fan in the bathroom did not work so it was very humid in there. You can validate parking with the hotel, but do not do this. It is $10 more expensive than just paying at the kiosk in the parking garage. They overcharged me for parking after I figured this out and it was a process to get them to refund the incorrect parking charge. When I checked out, they refused to give me a receipt because I booked through hotels.com, even though they were supposed to provide it since I paid directly to the hotel. Getting someone on the phone to get this later was difficult. The chatbot could not find my reservation either with any of the information I provided. I spoke with someone at the hotel who told me I needed to email the parking garage receipt before they could refund the charge. I did this, and no response. I finally got a hold of someone different a few days later who helped me right away. So a little bit of a headache but it was resolved in the end. The suite was very comfortable and roomy and we had a great view of the city. I loved that the floors were not carpet, it made it feel a lot cleaner. There was a great pinball arcade under the hotel that nobody seemed to know about.
- 3/5
Property is connected to metro transport and quiet area. Rooms are big but not as clean as it could be but staff quite helpful and friendly.
- 3/5
The hotel is very accessible to metro and the surrounding areas are within vicinity for easy access, however the hotel itself is poorly manage. I tried asking the reception staff twice for the water refilling station and i was told 2 different location to a different location. I tried to locate both ends but to no success hence I have to go down to the dining hall which is already barriered at night but went accros anyway just to get water. The room is wide but smells damp in the wardrobe and dusty tissue box with no extra refills for hot drink in the room such as tea bags or decaf coffee. The plug sockets are everywhere but old too as no C type or usb connection. The aircon stops quite long at night and you wake up so hot and sweaty. The noise is very imminent for the transportation from your bedroom thinking that we have opened window but all was closed. Talking about buffet breakfast- this was scooped by the cook and very less selection. Boiled eggs are put on small container and you have to ask for it and rationed.Overall we met some good staff in the kitchen and very approachable.
- 5/5
The attention was excellent from part of the staff. The breakfast option was excellent. Happy hour it is good welcoming so you do not have to move from the hotel because you have evrything..
- 3/5
They charge for parking and I wan
- 4/5
Room 612, per my the staff, since I booked thru Expedia, they stated they did not have the room I originally booked. It shouldn’t matter who I book thru, you see my reservation, honor it. I was not contacted by Expedia or the hotel about any changes to my room…From the customer view it does not matter, honor my reservations, if you don’t want 3rd party business, let your marketing department know. Why does the Custer get the shaft Nice staff & hotel, but may choose a hotel which honors my reservation, take responsibility.
- 5/5
The receptionist when I Checked in was amazing so helpful and so sweet
- 4/5
But clean and convenient in so many ways
- 3/5
No jets in hot tub. Terrible sofa mattress. Better than average bfast but no gluten free. Tedious and expensive parking. Nice staff and location.

This is my kids' favorite hotel because of the escalators and glass elevators and connection to the metro. Embassy Suites are great for families. It needs some TLC but the whole pavilion/mall it is in is getting some.

The easy access to the metro food was great employee friendly clean rooms

Otherwise a big room, two tvs, big bed and pretty quiet. Very good for the price. Convenient.

Nice hotel. Rooms great size & comfortable beds. Conveniently located in Chevy Chase close to metro, shopping & restaurants . Cheesecake Factory located in hotel atrium.

Friendly staff, easy check-in. Loved that could access the metro from the hotel. We had a problem with our room having an unpleasant odor in the bedroom area. We informed staff and they immediately took care of the problem and did a terminal clean of the unit and it took care of the problem.

Everything was good

The room was clean but the room showed its age. No conditioner in the bottle in the shower, average water pressure and temperature. The staff is friendly but not very informed. Some gym equipment was broken. Breakfast was excellent and clearly how they are keeping customers.

I smelled a very strong odor of chlorine so I checked out because I couldn’t tolerate the smell. Manager would not refund my room for 2nd night. He said the cleaning staff did not use inordinate amount of cleaner. Didn’t matter to me because I couldn’t tolerate the foul odor. Called Expedia and got run around. This hotel is awful.

The only thing the hotel offers is breakfast. There is nothing else. There is no restaurant available for lunch or dinner. They have a kind a happy hour from 5:30 a 7. For me, it was difficult to be in the hotel at that time, so when we arrived at night, there was nowhere to eat or drink. The cleaning was ok. The rooms are a little old. What I want to highlight is the service that Sindy from the front desk and Fidel (busser) gave us. They were very kind and lovely all the time.

The only complaint was the room wasn’t very clean. Dust, fingerprints, lampshade with stains on it. The bathroom: tub had chipped paint throughout, the backseat of the toilet was filthy and clearly never cleaned. I was honestly shocked. I’ve never had an issue with embassy suites before.

Great breakfast, my favorite part. Loved happy hour and loved metro access from basement. I would stay again

Some great things are the breakfast- the omelette station was my fave! And the 2 daily complimentary drinks at Willie’s! Drinks were great! If you’re staying overnight, include parking vs paying by the hour! Overall wonderful experience!

The place is nice but not quiet if you’re a late sleeper.

The shower barely had enough pressure to remove the shampoo out of my hair. The bed was more firm than I prefer, but the location to the Metro was great. The breakfast was always great to have first thing in the morning.

Although i had a good night, i wanted time away in peaceful place to remember my murdered son on July 14 2025 . I checked in and out wirh no issues. But it was so hot in my room and in atrium and my room did have dirty socks and trash underneath my bed and was dusty but i was there for peace and didn't complain. And i even leftva tip for housekeeping. I plan to visit again but has to be better im sorry for complaining but you wint know unless someone tells you . Blessings

I took advantage of the Happy Hour, the pool, hot tub and complimentary breakfast. Way beyond my expectations! They had chef prepared omelettes! Not just continental breakfast. Truly a fabulous experience. I really feel like i treated myself.

I canceled my room and the hotel still charge me and refuse to give me my money back

Nice place. Good location and in good state.

I liked the location and proximity to public transport, great breakfast and the staff was very helpful and polite. The pool is relatively small, but pleasant. The only issue is the floor tiles at the pool. They are very slippery and dangerous once they are wet, and with all the kids jumping in the pool…an accident waiting to happen.

The room was clean and the beds were so comfortable. Breakfast was plentiful and the variety was large we really enjoyed our stay and yes we will stay again.

I always enjoyed Embassy Suites but this one was my least favorite.
