My stay was good. Room smelled like mildew a little- didn’t have a pleasant smell. My son left his wallet with ID and it's nearly impossible to get anyone on the phone to be helpful. Frustrating

Room design was perfect for us, spacious and comfortable.

Conveniently located in downtown DC. Great pool and rooms! We traveled with six adults and had two rooms. Two adults slept on pullout beds and the others slept in real beds. Bathrooms in each room were immaculate as were the other facilities. They have a cook to order egg/omelette station where they also serve the meat and potatoes of the day and it’s included with your room. We ended up eating in the hotel restaurant both nights and had good (but expensive) meals.

#1: Great location, easy walk to the mall. We have three kids and the sofa bed is critical to have 5 sleep comfortably.

The lobby staff was equally, professional and helpful. The location is another big plus, with easy access to shopping and a variety of great restaurants nearby, making it perfect for both convenience and leisure. One of the highlights of my stay was the breakfast. It was absolutely delicious, with a great variety of options and fresh, high-quality food. Overall, the service, location, and hospitality made this a very enjoyable stay, and I would definitely consider coming back.

Just left here. A lot of missed opportunities. Hotel is close to everything and the restaurant is very good but it is ran by someone else. Bar closes early and there is no night life for adults or even children. Pool is ok and small. More than 5 people you’re crowded. Rooms are decent beds and pillows average. Air condition system needs a good cleaning as everyone was complaining of allergies. They have someone trying to sell you something right off the elevators but pushing hotel points to get your attention. People are caught off by it and it becomes annoying. The morning and day staff were great. Especially the people checking in and doors people. Housekeeping was good and very nice. The homeless guy out the front door seems to be a staple to the hotel. Stayed 8 days. I would look for a better place at this price point

I have to say whenever I come to Washington DC, this is my favorite and only place to stay. Elvis and your front staff are very pleasant and accomandating. The Bartenders are always smiling and very pleasant to talk. The bed are comfortable and breakfast is the best in the business. N/A

The room itself was great. The $125 a night additionally for the incidentals was insane. We were not expecting to spend an additional $750 because it was not listed anywhere on the Expedia website so it left us with hardly any money for our trip.

Every evening you are given 2 complimentary drinks and snacks which we were not expecting which was great. We ordered Room service and it arrived quickly and was great. Breakfast was good just busy but it is that time of the day.

Check in, check out, and calls to the front desk were slower than expected because there was most often only 1 person at the front desk. I’d requested a quiet room in my reservation because we are very light sleepers but was given one by the pool on the 2nd floor which was very loud with pool traffic in and out of the area. The smell of chlorine was so strong it could be smelled all the way to my room. When we opened the door to my room the chlorine smell would enter and stay inside my room. The walls are also quite thin so we could hear the conversations of the room next door which was disruptive in the late evening and sometimes even at 3am during the holiday weekend. Given we would be staying 1 week, I asked for another room but the front desk person said they were sold out so we had to stay in the room. We did not have a pleasant stay given the noise and smells. I did find the room spacious and the breakfast included was a big plus. The location is convenient and walking distance to most major museums and monuments. If you don’t stay on the 2nd floor and you’re not sensitive to sound this would be a fine hotel option.

The hotel itself was very nice. It sucks that parking isn’t included with the stay. Vallet parking for overnight was $75 a night. The valet were standoffish the whole time and when I got my car back after the first night, there was a major scratch on my front bumper, and it has been a week and I still have not heard back from management if they’ve seen the cameras.

Great hotel, appreciate Embassy’s breakfast and complimentary reception as these are some of the primary attractions for me. Would stay again

THE BREAKFAST WAS FANTASTIC!!! THE HOTEL WAS CLEAN & STAFF WERE ON IT. HOTEL WAS SUPER CLEAN AND AREA WAS PRETTY CLOSE TO EVERYTHING WE NEEDED.

The rooms were very well kept, and very comfortable. The buffet at Embassy never disappoints and the added happy hour time was a plus. Location is excellent and near plenty of places to shop and eat. Even if you don't use the valet there are lots near by. I will definitely bring my family back for another stay and visit, because D.C. is beginning to be out new getaway spot.

Those were my only complaints. The complimentary breakfast was great, the staff were so friendly and eager to please, however the folks who man the Hilton Rewards kiosk were annoying. Every time my wife and I walked past their podium, they'd try to get our attention and get us to sign up for something. After the first day of this, I avoided the area. Another area that needs improvement and is probably impossible given the location of the hotel, is the valet parking. They have to stop traffic so you can back your car up to the front door. That doesn't seem very efficient. But I get it, there's no room for doing proper valet parking.

Excellent stay during graduation week! I stayed for the full week of dinners and ceremonies, and the staff truly made everything seamless. They pressed all of my outfits, steamed my graduation regalia, and always had taxis ready outside for the nonstop events. The service, convenience, and hospitality made such a busy and important week so much easier.

Honestly love this hotel, stay here nearly every visit to DC! Friendly staff, great breakfast, fun evening reception, on site parking. Perfect location. This visit was a bit less enjoyable only due to our room location - we were on the second floor over the restaurant, near the stairwell. Unfortunately lots of noise. Sigh. Next time I’ll just request a room on a higher floor like my previous stays.

Great hotel. Nice breakfast in the morning. I took away one star because we arrived at 1:30 and they would not let us check into our room until 4pm. They said our room was available and we could check in now for $50! They would waive the fee for gold honors members. Unfortunately I’m just a regular honors member. In past experience most hotels let you check in early if your room is ready and without a fee. Disappointing that they wanted to squeeze an extra $50 out of me!

The suite itself was perfect. It was spacious and very clean. The king sized bed was so comfortable. The next morning I was able to partake in their delicious breakfast, offering a scrumptious buffet but also cooked to order. As for location, this Embassy Suites DC Convention Center was perfect for me. It was just a few blocks from Metro Center and only a few blocks away from Ford’s Theater, where I was planning to see a show. There are a number of fine restaurants and casual take-out eateries nearby so you will have no trouble finding something you like. I loved Embassy Suites DC Convention Center so much so, I would have easily extended my stay. Thank you to the entire staff for taking such great care of me.

The room and hotel were fine. When it came to the night staff, they were not helpful and kinda rude. I asked for our sheets to be changed after 3 days and they told me that I needed to check on that in the morning. The next morning I saw the cleaning lady and asked her about it and she told me that they do not do that except every 5 days. I then proceeded to the front desk again and asked the morning staff and the gentleman told me that the night staff should have taken care of it. When we got back to the room, the sheets were changed, but not the pillow cases. There were a few hot days in Washington and I asked the front desk for a water. They told me that we should have gotten water when we checked in. I explained that we did not get any since we checked in at 11:50pm. She then handed us 2 waters when we had 3 people standing there. The last day we were there, I used the restroom before leaving the hotel. I had to go to the front desk because there were no paper towels to dry my hands. The lady at the front reached into a closet of coats and handed me what looked like a dirty wash cloth. I would find a different place to stay next time.

We enjoyed our stay in Embassy Suits by Hilton, the location was convenient and was with walking distance to multiple sites like White House, Smithsonian museums, DC citi center,……. The rooms are capacious and clean.The breakfast is excellent with great options. The staff is very attentive and friendly. The Valet team are outstanding and professional. Hirut from the restaurant was welcoming, professional and lovely, she made our stay extra special. We will likely stay here again if visiting DC.

The front desk staff was absolutely amazing. Very helpful! The rooms were clean and the pool was a good added touch for our stay. The only complaint I have was the food. The breakfast buffet was like having nothing because it wasn’t good at all. There’s alot of near by good restaurants so it wasn’t that bad of a deal. Def would stay again!

Food and staff were awesome. The walls are thin. You can hear the people around you. Nothing they can do about it. Other than that a perfect stay, great location. Didnt use the pool or gym so no comments. The complimentary time was really nice.

It was our second stay at this hotel, and overall we really like it. The hotel itself is great, but this time we had a small issue. We booked a Premium Suite, but at check-in we were given keys without being informed that the suite was not available. When we got to the room, we realized it was a lower-category room than what we had booked, so we had to return to the reception. After that, they apologized and offered a discount equal to the difference between the two room rates instead of providing the correct or equal suite.

Our stay here was great. The hospitality from the staff was fantastic especially since it was a very busy hotel. Mike G. checked us in and was friendly and knowledgeable and welcoming. He had great suggestions for parking our vehicle while we were DC. The house staff and the managers were all visible and ready to help out even in the dining room clearing tables each morning to make room during the very busy complimentary breakfast that was cooked to order. We would stay here again.

We loved the area. Within walking distance, about 20-25 minutes to just about anything. The room was clean. We needed extra towels and stuff, they were brought fairly quickly. Dog friendly!!! Would return.

When we entered our room, we found that it was not clean. There were fingerprints and residue from glasses on surfaces and crumbs on the floor between the beds. One of the beds had a stained sheet. I asked the front desk to send someone to correct the situation, and they were more than happy to do so. BUT when the cleaning staff came to our room, she was very rude and told me she had already cleaned the room and vacuumed. I showed her the areas that needed to be done and she did correct them.

Room is set up great, but showing signs of needing a deep clean (cracks and crevices) but otherwise good… I’m picky. Staff is super friendly and helpful. Breakfast is great, staff is working super hard, but again, all around the omelette station things need a deep clean. Dust is really collecting in lights, rails and fans. Management just needs to “look up”. Those are the things you notice while standing in line. We would stay again but hope these little things get attention soon. Felt extremely safe walking to and from this hotel after dark. The city feels clean and is looking good! Had a great week in DC!

Cons; The pool was packed & assuming because of the high number of ppl dirty. Price for parking a day was ridiculous.

Had only 2 bath towels upon check in called and never came. Called again next morning never got towels before heading out for day. Tv in bedroo. Not working had to call for that to get fixed. Never could locate or find remote for living room. Several tims had to call for more coffee and creamer and they never brought more than 2 pods at a time. The breakfast was ok. Sausages overcooked and fruit was not ripe.

Clean and located close to everything. Our room was very comfortable with a living room area and pull out couch. The breakfast buffet was chaotic and ate up a lot of time as there was no organization and very long lines. I would suggest skipping it. But otherwise everything was great.

Wonderful property close to all the places that are downtown. They are pushy about booking the next stay at another property in the future which I thought was kinda of crazy and would have have been nice to have a person to book families with tours instead. I would have loved an easier way to order food for children at night on a menu. A lot of money I felt was spent by the hotel on just crap at night for kids. Then we still had to find a place to go eat with fussy tired kids or order door dash. The breakfast was great for the family. All and all it was a great time. Do not waste money on a rental car. You can Uber or taxi anywhere you want to go with a car load of kids and car seats way cheaper than renting a car and paying 77 dollars a day to park your car at the hotel over night. They quoted us 30 a day but that is street parking not hotel parking. Lots of hidden fees. I hopes this helps you out.

Awesome stay. Everything clean. Staff very friendly. Only thing I would say could improve was the shower. The handle would stick and make it hard to move making it difficult to get on the right temperature.

We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Washington, DC!

This was a really nice location for downtown DC. I stayed somewhere closer to the White House but I know if I had to again, I would rather stay in this location downtown. It’s just 1 block from the convention center and easy walking distance to Capital One arena. The rooms were very clean and nice. I enjoyed the breakfast. definitely family friendly and had a lot of variety with the made to order eggs/omelettes. I appreciate the INDOOR pool as well :)

But for as much as I paid for the room , parking was not included and they charge an outrageous amount 75.00 + Tax ! Crazy , parking should have been included in the price

The room was spotless! I did notice the baseboards of the room were dirty. I. Stayed in room 725 & had a great view. My uber driver said I was staying in a “Luxury Hotel” because of the lion statues at the entrance!

Every aspect was spot on. Friendly reception, the room itself was just right, and the chef who runs the custom order breakfasts was very impressive and the food was great. We only missed the happy hour drinks as the lounge was very crowded and we didnt have time to enjoy that. I highly recommend Embassy suites and will plan to book there again. Fun fact, the hotel had lots of us knicks fans in town for the game, so the atmosphere was very friendly. (Probably more friendly than you would expect at a hotel.)

Staff was rude at check in. Interaction felt like talking to a robot. Paint is peeling in the bathroom. Put out the “sleeping in” sign night one, (literally the sign says “check back later” ) which apparently it is “hotel policy” to fully skip the room according to the robots at the front desk. But the second day I didn’t put it out and they still hadn’t cleaned it by 4pm, even though I had stopped by the front desk to tell them I was leaving earlier. Front desk robots told me it was my fault because that was confusing. Manager interaction also felt like he was blaming me somehow. Oh and the “corner room” wasn’t on the corner and all windows faced a brick wall.

Fantastic location, helpful and friendly staff, comfortable bed, and a great free hot breakfast! We will be back next time we come to DC!

We stayed in a King suite for 4 days/3 nights. The hotel is in a good area, near many places to eat. Checking in was very easy, all they need is an ID and credit card. There are public garages around, but I preferred to use the valet service. It was $75 a night and very convenient, they quickly brought our car out to the front when we checked out. Housekeeping always cleaned the room and gave us fresh towels each time. The hotel’s restaurant has great food and drinks and the breakfast had a great variety. Overall, I highly recommend this hotel if you want to stay in the city and be near pretty much everything. I would definitely stay here again in the future

The front desk was supposed to make you feel welcome that didn’t happen. The lady that brought up towels to the room had a poor attitude. The lady behind the bar didn’t seem interested in helping me with a question I had regards to the menu, she made a face and looked at me like with no patience.

The room was extremely noisy, it’s a dog friendly hotel but the people cannot keep their dogs under control. I had to make multiple complaints before the staff did anything. And one of the managers was extremely defensive and rude when I complained. She simply said well this is a dog friendly hotel. And what would you like me to do if the guest do not answer their phone. Well I can tell you is dogs should not be left unattended in the room.

The daily complimentary happy hour and snacks were a really nice touch and definitely appreciated. Breakfast was good overall and it’s understood that it’s complimentary, so expectations were reasonable. However, the main downside was that food items were constantly running out and staff took quite a long time to replenish them. On multiple mornings, 30 minutes before breakfast officially ended, staff had already begun cleaning up, leaving very limited options and making guests feel rushed. Additionally, seating was often an issue, as many tables were left with dirty plates, making it difficult to find a clean place to sit. Aside from the breakfast experience, everything else was very positive. Overall, it’s a great hotel in a fantastic location, and we would still recommend it.

The room had a broken faucet, and the toilet was not properly cleaned when we checked in. Overall, the stay was okay, but housekeeping and attention to cleaning details definitely need improvement.

I don't know if the hotel is normally that crowded, but i am going to assume it's due to Christmas. There were alot of kids running around too, which surprised me. The location is close to everything, including city center! Their evening reception is great, loved their free snacks and drinks. When you check in your staff is not helpful at all. They do not tell you anything. For example, I didn’t know I was being charged $125 deposit per night. No big deal, but when you ask the lady was rude and not friendly. I wasn’t told anything other than here you might want a paper. She did not even tell me what room I was in, what floor, where is the elevator, nothing, but where’s my ID. The food has no taste extremely bland. The employees don’t seem to like their jobs. The valet staff seemed irritated that I didn’t want to use valet. He grabbed my keys from my hand and said you have 15 mins to move it. While he walks off drops my key faub. Luckily I was there to pick it up! Not one single guest services, food service employee spoke to our family except one gentleman who was standing at a podium the day after we checked in. He asked if we were heading out. Everyone else completely ignored us. The highlight of your hotel is your housekeeping staff, they’re amazing! Every single housekeeping person we came into contact with made eye contact with us, spoke to us and said hi, they were so nice, every single one of them!! They deserve a raise for all their hard work, but also the fact that they make a effort! We appreciate all the housekeepers, thank you!

The bathroom sink wasn't working, filling up without draining, even after the room service person promised to send an engineer to fix it. Also we woke up to our phones not charged because the outlets by the bedside turned out to be not working.

Some morning it was hard to find an empty table that didnt have dirty plates all over it. It was frustrating to see dirty tables and staff standing around not cleaning them up

The volume is low enough I most areas that I would not complain since music selection is a matter of opinion . My only complaint was the noise from other rooms/guests at night. I could hear other guests fighting in the next room and it kept me up at night. Otherwise, everything was perfect.

Great place to stay

We arrived late in the evening and checked in which was easy to do. Front desk staff was less than stellar. Unfortunately, they put a $500 hold on our credit card for incidentals ($125/night). This seemed steep to us but it is probably because we booked through Expedia and not directly with the hotel. We did not get the room type we had booked. We booked a premium corner suite and were given a regular suite that was not on a corner. We contacted the front desk about this and were told that the paticular room type was booked but we could move to that room type the next day or we could be compensated with Hilton Honor points. I am not sure why they failed to mention this to us when we checked in but I think that is a pretty terrible oversight. We went to breakfast a few times and the entire area is chaotic. We did enjoy the made to order omelet station but the other food was just ok. One morning we were at breakfast at least 30 minutes before it ended and they had run out of several items they were not re-stocking. By the end of our stay we just decided to skip the breakfast all together. The hotel is updated and the room was comfortable. The hotel is very convenient to all the major attractions. It is about a 10 minute walk to Metro Center metro station.

Everything was fine, except we needed blankets. Texted the front desk, said OK but no blankets, stopped by front desk, still no blankets. Found a gentleman on the floor who accommodated us with 2 blankets.

My family and I drove several hours to arrive a late night/early morning to check into my room that was booked to be told by the front desk they was it was overbooked and to wait into sleep in the lobby for hours until she could find me a room which she had available. Expedia customer manager was unpleasant and unprofessional. Have screenshots to show it no help.

My only complaint is breakfast. They need more people working in the restaurant to keep tables cleared and make food faster. The omelette bar line was excessive, and using the app led to a very long wait.

Pillows were not Comfortable at all. Very thin and lumpy. We had 4 people in our room. Two on the sofa bed. Requested 4 extra pillows two for each person and were told only 2 extra poles per room. That was rough. The toilet would only flush every 5 mins or so. We thought the toilet was broken at first. So sharing that with 4 people and limited flushing was not fun. Otherwise it was a nice hotel. Very roomy for 4 people. Would stay again

The staff was wonderful, very friendly and helpful. The free breakfast was so well staffed and the food was good. The pool is small and really shallow, which was good and bad. The fitness room looked super nice (although we choose to use it). The rooms were nice and clean. The beds weren't the most comfortable, but did the trick. And it was nice that there were two metros stations pretty close to the hotel.

I highly recommend this property. Professional, clean, up to date and a GREAT breakfast The only negative aspect is that the view is not the best. One has to request an on street view or you will get a view of the wall of the next building.

However the quality of eggs at breakfast was most disappointing to my son, a man who enjoys a good plate of eggs. People were very kind, from valet and bellmen, to reception (Big up Harry, Daniel, Mikey G, Keanna) and engaged. However the evening reception seemed a bit rushed, especially the line-up for drinks. Imho, a welcome greeting from your staff would be appreciated, and would match the overall excellent atmosphere of the hotel. Mmmmuuuaah :)

This a family hotel great for kids (swimming pool) and internal restaurant serving great food. Easily located within the heart of Washington, it was an amazing place to walk around and very quiet and serene. The Hotel amenities were amazing and breakfast was fantastic with a range of options for vegetarians and non-veg persons. I would definitely stay again.

$75 per night for parking for an "oversized" (ford expedition) vehicle is highway robbery. A/C in the room was lacking. Dialed it down to 65 and it was still extremely warm. Notified front desk by response to a text asking how things were going. Checked out 24 hours later and still waiting for someone to come "look at it."

Homeless camp right next to the main entrance and no one was doing anything about it, the room was run down , door lock was not working properly in the room. Food disgusting with huge lines. We had someone partying till midnight and we reached out to front desk multiple times asking to intervene, no one cared. Disappointing experience. Embassy suites quality goes down the drain. Also, be aware of a pushy Hilton worker who waits for you on the first floor and tries to sell you Hilton package which is actually a timeshare . Google before you sign .

The hotel was comfortable and clean. The free breakfast was exceptional. We also liked the evening refresher drinks. The location is great for sightseeing and catching the Metro.

Unfortunately, my stay was marred by issues with the third party valet service, which was rude and unprofessional. The $80 fee was steep, and the hotel staff seemed unhelpful in resolving issues. One front desk staff member also lacked courtesy. While the property was clean, the experience fell short. Not recommended.

Great modern hotel, room was big, clean comfortable and updated ( for the king corner suite). We did valet which is not cheap ($70 for all day) but very convenient and is costly no matter where you park in DC, so this was a great service with in and out rights as we ventured the city. The breakfast was great, many options and a cooked to order omelette. Felt very upscale and was a great price for Washington DC. We will stay here every time we visit our kid in college.

The hotel was nice and clean. We stayed for the pool for the kids, but it was not worth it just for the pool. It was overcrowded and very small. The breakfast was also overcrowded, and the line was very slow and inefficient. The room was very nice, clean, and spacious. It’s located in a safe area. We would stay again.

I have stayed at the Embassy Suites many times and my ratings are always high, but my stay this time was miserable because of the temperature in the hotel. It was freezing cold. Everyone had a coat or sweater on in the middle of summer. Even the clerks had a heater by her feet. Going in and out of the heat to cold, I developed a serious cold that turned to the flu. Also the evening reception was a disappointment. At one time drinks and food would be offered, but now they only offer drinks and snacks, Embassy Suites is worth it offering the welcome reception of food, but cheese and crackers are not a welcome. Additionally, the bedroom did not have enough room to put our suitcase. For one person it would be okay, certainly not for two.

My family and I enjoyed this hotel! It was clean inside and the staff were all friendly and helpful. The breakfast was great and had a lot of options. Conveniences. Rooms were not cleaned until late afternoon, although each day we left in the morning and returned late afternoon expecting the room to be cleaned by the time we got back. One day, the room wasn’t cleaned until after 4pm. We were back and had to leave the room so she could clean the room. One day we returned to the room very tired; room hadn’t been cleaned so we just asked her for towels.

I read the reviews about Embassy Suites and made my decision to stay here. This hotel is in a great location easy access to restaurants, shops, and popular tourist attractions. I felt safe here and the happy hour and morning breakfasts were great! I would recommend this location for family vacationers. BTW- This is a popular conference hotel.

At check in a larger room was offered. We appreciated this and paid the extra fee. When getting into the room the fridge was filthy. The AC worked-barely. Beds were uncomfortable and pillows flat. My husband found staples on the floor. Housekeeping needs to be improved on. Hotel was a good, safe location.
