The room was clean! Great air conditioning, good water pressure. The beds were a bit firm compared to what we like and the city noise was disappointing. Lots of traffic noise and sirens at all hours of the night.

The room was very clean, and the beds were comfortable. The staff was super friendly and very accommodating. We did not try the breakfast, but the coffee machine was phenomenal. The air conditioning in the room was top-notch, so sleeping was not a problem at all. Hot room equals no sleep in my world. We would definitely stay here again.

I think the breakfast was okay, we were in several hotels during our US trip and it's like this everywhere. Honestly the omelet was the only thing what we liked here. - I have to agree with others, the staff was really rude, I didn't even see at least one kind receptionist/manager. The issue started when we checked in. The receptionist without any will to help us with the check in, just throw the card terminal at me and told that I need to pay fort he room upon arrival, then I told her that I had already paid and she didn't believe me. I asked her to check it and then without any apologies she told that it's okay but I still have to pay 100$ as a deposit, which is fine but still it wasn't mentioned anywhere previously. Next day I woke up and got charged 332$. When I went down to the reception I found another grumpy receptionist who couldn't even explain this to me and she insisted on that I needed to pay upon arrival. After 15 min of discussion, asking for the monitor's screen to check what she sees and thanks to my partner's good logical thinking it turned out that we got charged a credit limit which was not mentioned anywhere previously either. This means they are pre-charging you and you can consume anything from that amount, and you will receive back the amount of money what you haven't spent in the hotel (not that I could have spent 232$ in that hotel on anything, so I find this amount a little crazy...). So for two nights we got charged an insane amount of money and they couldn't even tell us that this will happen and this is not mentioned anywhere. The staff's unprofessional and rude behavior made this worse, you don't treat guests like this for this amount of money in a Marriott affiliate hotel. - on our floor there was a constant loud humming during the night Overall I don't recommend this hotel, doesn't deserve to be called a Marriott. You pay a little bit more and they will treat you like a human in other hotels. The hotel itself it is not so bad, but these things are really annoying when you pay this amount of money.

Front desk were happy to answer questions. Was reliable enough to be a place to stay as needed which was what it was for us. Wasn't really here for luxury or ammineties (not that there was much of those things) but just needed clean, affordable, safe place to stay for an event in town we traveled up here to attend. Minor issues during check in Broken handles/etc Smoke alarm actually kept going off at like 9:40am due to repairs on the elevators (not sure why or how these 2 are related) which was very annoying and frightening at first. Of course no money back or compensation for anything was offered, just an explanation and "yeah sorry".

Also breakfast needs to be better since is only eggs no meat, no sausage, bacon or ham, only egg and toast.

The room was nice and clean. The staff did give a little bit of trouble. I know check out was 12 pm and the front desl told us this. But the cleaning staff was knocking on our door repeatedly at 11:02 AM telling us it's check out time. We told them it's at 12 but they were adamant it was 11. I called front desk and they said 12. There was also the incident with my little sister's car on the parking lot they apparently don't manage. Gotta go on the website. The website wasn't great since after my sister's graduation, she wanted to renew the time. It was saying "sold out" and when we tried searching for the hotel property it wouldn't come up on the search results. The hotel staff wouldn't help up with this matter so that definitely wasn't convenient. Thankfully her car was safe so parking didn’t ruin her graduation. Breakfast was convenient but very repetitive. Egg mini omletes, mcmuffins, mini muffins, yogurt, and cereal. Pretty much the same thing almost every day for the 4 days I was there, except yesterday they added french toast sticks. Then today no French toast. Breakfast is for a span 3 hours only which is fine, I typically grab what the family and I want and go bscl to bed. It's also nice they have a drink machine that's operational for about 21 hours which is pretty nice. Get some coffee, hot coco, hot water or some warm milk for bed. Air conditioning and heat was good too in the room

The room was very nice and the hotel seemed like it was newly renovated. Great water pressure for showers with warm/hot water! The air conditioning was spot on and our room was very comfortable. The breakfast lacked some as it was the same choices everyday and they were very limited but it was free/included so I’ll take something over nothing. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and the workers seemed friendly if we had any questions.

The breakfast was very small had very little options. Many of the front desk staff were very rude and mean and had no idea what they were doing, there were ants in the room. It was a pretty bad section of town. Overall I was very disappointed especially for the price and the fact that it was a Marriott. Up until now I had always had a very good experience with Marriott this was definitely a disappointment.

From arrival, multiple issues were apparent. The sofa bed was very poor quality, you could feel the springs through the mattress, causing discomfort and back pain. I was traveling with elderly parents and booked this room for comfort, which this property failed to provide. This is not the quality expected from a Marriott-branded hotel. Throughout the stay, the coffee machine was out of milk and instead dispensed a sweet chocolate mix. The internet TV did not work either. Repeated inquiries were met with the same vague responses and indifferent attitude, suggesting these were ongoing issues. Breakfast was consistently disappointing and bare-bones. No toast bread (staff said it’s only available on weekends), only English muffins, and no fruit at all. On the second day, even regular milk was unavailable, only oat milk was offered. Staff responses were dismissive, and issues raised over multiple days remained unresolved. The room had significant road noise. I was awake after 5:00 AM daily. The bathtub also backed up water, adding to the poor bathroom condition. Overall, the property felt like a low-quality motel with poor service. For a Marriott-branded hotel, this was extremely unacceptable.

The hotel was advertising daily housekeeping but when I got there I was given a card saying they only clean on the third night. They also made me pay almost $7 for bottled water and had no other water options available. The staff was nice but I had to look twice to make sure I was lodging at a marriott. My points were not added until I reminded them at check out and even then, they only applied 2 of the 4 days that I stayed.

Luckily, they gave us another room with two queen bed for the 5 of us. But in reality those beds didnt look like queen more like a full size. It was pretty uncomfortable to sleep three people in a full size mattress. The room in general was clean. The breakfast was not the best, they can do better. Every morning was the same food. Plus, they can get an extra toasted machine.

The hotel was in a fantastic location! It was just a 15-minute drive from Downtown DC, we didn’t need to use the metro or public transport, but I think there was a stop within walking distance. The hotel was right in front of some places to eat, a gas station and a Dunkin Donuts. Target and a shopping center were just a few blocks away. Our room was incredibly comfortable, and the bathroom was spacious. The hotel is located right in front of a busy street, so there’s a lot of noise, especially early in the morning. Breakfast was okay, but they have an excellent coffee machine that’s available 24/7. Everyone was very nice, which I was surprised by—I bet they’re treated well because they’re enjoying their job. We really liked our stay there and would definitely recommend it to anyone. We’ll definitely stay there again!

This hotel is newly redecorated and pretty clean and smells good. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful. There's a convenient Metro bus stop less than a half a block away that can take you straight to the Metro subways taking you into DC so that's a good thing. A couple small negatives to consider, the breakfast is the same thing every single morning with no fresh fruit or anything other than egg pucks and bread products. While the hotel itself is nice, the neighborhood is not one that you should walk around in at night and there's no restaurants other than fast food that you can walk to nearby.

The room was clean and comfortable. I love the non-carpeted floors, so clean! The only tiny thing was that the toilet tank lid had a crack in it and should be replaced. Not a big deal and I didn't even mention it to the staff assuming that every time the bathroom was cleaned, the crack was seen. The front desk staff was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast had a nice variety of egg dishes and breads and muffins.

Recently remodeled with a very clean room but they missed the mark with their breakfast. Just a few pastries and one or two little yogurts put out. There would be a line of people waiting for stuff and they would put out two yogurts and 3 English muffins then come back and check. Instead of stocking up they made you feel as if you were inconveniencing them by trying to get something to eat. The coffee also wasn’t hot and you only had a pump bottle of coffee-mate available. The halls reeked of weed bc of the room next door and when I called the front desk they were very dismissive. She said she would have someone spray the hall. That doesn’t solve the problem. There was a security guard but he was not very alert or doing much other than playing on his phone. There also was no ice or water bottle fillers on property. Not even a water fountain on property. The front desk told me I could go to the other Marriott property next door and use the water pitcher. That’s not the service I expect from a Marriott property no mater what level it is.

So, so bad! Once again, a horrible mistake, choosing an unbranded hotel, which was even worse than the one before it. The staff was completely uncooperative when I begged them to let me get a refund and move. First of all, it was listed as in Capitol Hill neighborhood, well if that was Capitol Hill then I’ve got a bridge to sell you. It was in a very undesirable location and I was already tired and was there to do a photo shoot & needed a good nights sleep after a very long drive.I finally succumbed when I knew that I could not get any reasonable results from them in order to move. I requested to please put me in a room that was quiet and lo & behold when I got back late at night and was charged $23 to park and had to park outside not in a covered garage, I went to my room, got in bed and the worst nightmare of my hotel staying life began. There were sirens all night long worse than I’ve ever experienced living in New York City on a very busy ave. I tried to drown out the noise with earplugs, & then with ear buds & calming music & that didn’t work. I could not fall asleep & consequently, I got up feeling horrible & needed to drive another 8 hours. The breakfast was so pathetic & the biggest joke ever, w/3 choices that were inedible!

Breakfast “buffet” was not a buffet. It was just eggs sausage and toast or a bagel. No griddle foods like waffles or pancakes. Only 2/4 parts of the four slice toaster worked. There’s no coffee maker and complimentary tea/coffee in the rooms. The shower curtain is too small for the shower so water gets all over the floor. Front desk service was lackluster. And you have to pay for parking. I’m not a fan of any hotel where you have to pay to park there.

The staff member at the front desk was not the nicest. Upon check she had an attitude that we were 10 minutes early for a 4pm check in. There were hidden fees that were not posted on expedia which would have ultimately made me choose another hotel to stay. There was a 22 dollar parking feejust to park in the parking lot, no vallet. There was a $100 deposit fee even though i had already paid for our stay. This fee is returned after your stay. The hotel was in the middle of construction but overall all clean. The breakfast offered in the morning was absolutely horrible. The coffee was burnt, the only protein option was burnt sausage links, apples close to expiring, no dairy options. I travel a lot and overall i would probably never stay here again

It is better to clarify that car parking is paid (there is an obvious difference between available and paid, why let people guess). I felt cloth hanger in the bathroom was a must have item in hotel rooms but I couldn’t find one in my room. Most troublesome was the repeated loud noise coming in mid or later part of night from the corridor and once we got scared thinking someone was thumping on our room door, fortunately for us it is some nearby room and not ours but we couldn’t sleep well due to this repeated noise.

They are hiding information about parking availability. While the website states that on-site self-parking is available at this property, there is no information about parking fees. As a result, a customer reasonably assumes that parking is included in the room price. However, they charge $20 for parking. This is misleading, and I am disappointed that Expedia has no control over the properties under its contract. I am very upset.

There was remodeling done at the hotel, and instead of staring the work late in the morning, they started early, making it hard to rest. Breakfast was probably the worst hotel breakfast I have seen. It seemed to just “check the box”. We got to breakfast at 8:30 am and it was very sparse with no signs of refilling it. (Breakfast this day had a mini fridge with a lone yogurt & no more than 3 milks. There was also scrambled eggs, sausage links, cereal- I didn’t take any but it was not exciting.. it looked like plain Cheerios and Frosted Flakes. They also had bagels and bread, but no jellies, peanut butters, cream cheese, etc. very lackluster. Also, it’s worth mentioning they are in the middle of “construction” while they are rebranding to another hotel.. Marriott I believe. This didn’t bother me and I didn’t hold it against them in my review. I feel like it should’ve been mentioned on the site, however. I’m only mentioning it again now because beware once they transition over that there seems to be a bug infestation.

Additionally, I noticed that some staff members were eating breakfast intended for guests. This behavior completely undermined the hospitality one would expect in a hotel. In addition, they used a fork and not the utensil for the food. Moreover, I was taken aback when I encountered maintenance workers in the elevator who were covered in white paint, which gave the impression that the hotel management was unprepared and disorganized. When I approached Michelle, the front desk attendant, to express my concerns about the cleanliness of my room, I found her demeanor extremely rude. Instead of addressing the issue directly, she spoke from the back office, raising her voice rather than coming to engage with me in person. This lack of courtesy only added to my frustration. Overall, my experience at this hotel was the worst I have ever had, and I believe both the management and the staff need significant changes to meet the basic expectations of their guests.

The room was nice and big but many things were in poor condition. The lamp base had rust on it, when I tried to open the fridge it came out of its nook. I asked housekeeping to clean my room when I left to go out and they didn't. It took 4 tries and one room change to get keys that actually opened the door. Also they were in the process of renovating.

Business center is "under construction" so is fitness center, so is font of the hotel, which is missing the sign with its name on the front. An extra $20 charge for an almost empty open self-parking lot in front of the hotel seems excessive. Room and beds were clean but very basic, no frills, some of the furniture was scratched. Overall impression is that of of a sub-$100/night hotel. Nothing horrible, but not the value deal that it appeared to be online.

The area is rough, only a checkers and McDonald’s to eat at. The bus service is accessible but hugely inconvenient as then you have to catch the metro too. Washington itself is a good 30min drive away from this location. Don’t go outside at night in your own, it’s a scary part of town. I would recommend this hotel for a family

Overall the hotel was decent. Really the only negative thing I would say is that we got there at 245pm and we couldn’t check in early. It wasn’t mentioned that the room was still being cleaned, I was just told they don’t accept early check in, and at 4pm I could check in. This was after a long flight and keeping busy until check in time. We ended up sleeping in the car until 345pm & the next person at the counter let us check in. I’m not a breakfast person so eggs and turkey sausage were fine with cereal, toast, muffins to pick from. I’m just happy for coffee. Overall still a good place to stay.

Otherwise the room was clean and comfy. Water pressure was perfect. Neighborhood was a little noisy but I expect that from DC (sirens at night). Hotel is a little far from all the historic stuff so we Ubered every day an it was $15 - $20ish each time. Hotel staff friendly. Plenty of food. Comfy beds. Safe building. Clean room. Would stay again.

The manager kindly agreed to adjust my stay and even asked me to sign a form confirming the change. I appreciated his understanding and believed everything was properly handled. However, I was still charged for two nights. When I later contacted Hotels.com, they were very helpful and tried several times to reach the property, but the hotel refused to acknowledge the agreement. It’s disappointing that the hotel did not honor what was agreed upon at the front desk. I hope management improves communication and billing transparency so that future guests won’t experience the same issue.

Breakfast was limited and we were told on a couple of the days that they completely ran out of some items, leaving only bread w/o butter and coffee. We had difficulties with our room keys and one never worked at all. The floors in the room were pretty dirty and there were a lot of chips and cracks in the furniture and shower. The room was always made up nice and supplies replenished when we would return at night. The staff was unprofessional and unhelpful. Often spoke down and fought with guests, super unwilling to be helpful, unfortunately. The room served its purpose as just some place for us to store our luggage and rest while we explore the city, though it would’ve been nice to know we were coming back to a comfortable and quiet space to get good rest.

Multiple people tried getting into our room when my wife and daughter were there alone while I was unloading the car between the hours of 9:30-11 pm. A man was screaming the morning we left and arguing with the front desk while I was holding my daughter. They couldn’t find our reservation for 20 minutes while our daughter was exhausted from traveling all day and fussy. Alarm was going off the entire night in one of the rooms near us and got hardly any sleep. Front desk was not unfriendly but the overall stay was very unsafe and unpleasant.

When we arrived we didn’t have a room. This was after calling earlier in the day to see if we could check in and being told we couldn’t until 4:00! Flew to the city so we were a bit stuck. Ended up staying in an “ out of service room.” Tried talking to Expedia first. After chatting for a while my conversation online was dropped. Then called, talked to two people. The first person escalated the issue to the second. After explaining my situation to the second person and that I needed three spots to sleep (three beds OR two beds and a pull out couch) she comes back with a single king room. We were tired after traveling and a long day and I had been working on this issue for two hours, I just gave up and took the out of service room. I got an email noting my situation was not resolved, explained all this in my response and have heard nothing back.

As well why would their own website advertise $15+tax, yet a printed sign not advising me that it was a daily rate? Breakfast staff were extremely rude, and berrating. Advising me that I am not permitted in the breakfast area before 6 or 7am. Meanwhile I was just grabbing a coffee from the 24hour coffee/tea section. Meanwhile that's how you can access the terrace for the smoking section. Front desk said at check-in "You can smoke out front or out back, no problem, just not in the room". First morning security telling me "You are not allowed to smoke at the front" even though there was no signage, and I was far away from the door. Lastly the door keys, they NEVER WORKED. Constantly unable to access the hotel during off-peak hours, and having to try the room key 20+ times before it working, or having to go back down to front desk to have a new key programmed. Get it together, you're a beautiful hotel, with a great location, yet absolute trash staff service and behavior that is not to be expected in any Customer Service way. Hotel needs some major fix-ups before you charge people a premium and allow them to stay.

You can hear the traffic as if the windows are open. You hear sirens all night. The neighborhood isn't nice. Very run down area with lots of homeless walking around, hanging out in the parking lot and they are also very loud throughout the night. The credit card reader wasn't working at checking so we had a hard time handling parking payment and deposit. There was a very angry women at breakfast that kept screaming cuss words while her many children ran screaming through the dining area and lobby and the staff completely ignored it. All guests were very uncomfortable with her being there. The room was worn...scuff marks etc. but did seem fairly clean. The lobby had a strange smell, but the room didn't. I got there and waiting 15 mins for someone to be at the desk, I was rushed through paperwork and forms by a very unpleasant woman at the front desk. I see random people in the lobby, most of which were not staying at this hotel. I get to my room and there's bugs in the bathroom. You can hear everything outside. It's not ideal. I thought I'd look past all that because it was affordable and a roof over my head. Until night came around and a woman was out front screaming full force for hours about how not okay she is and if you liked further down the parking lot, 50+ people just loitering, definitely not hotel patrons. Between the near constant horns and sirens into the night and the screaming and noise outaide, it is not worth the cheap price. Not to mention you have to walk a ways to any bus stations in very sketchy neighborhoods so it's safer to just take an Uber. And an Uber every day at least twice a day, you might as well just pay for a better hotel away from this property.. stay as far away as you can. It's in the Trinidad neighborhood and police didn't even care about all the chaos happening at night. They drive by through lights to avoid it. They patrolled the area. But not to do anything about the incredibly concerning behavior. I left after my first night and hat to pay for another hotel. Because I felt so uneasy in this area.

String Smoking smell in non smoking room. Too much noise at night and you can see dust everywhere on room . I’ll give 1 out of 5 for this property

People camping on the medium strip between highways. Stranger in front of hotel door cornered me and talked for over 30 minutes when all I wanted to do is get in my room and chill.

The location of this hotel is awful, which is on me for not checking more closely, but be warned. The first set of door keys didn't work, but the nice lady at the desk replaced them for us quickly. Next, the deadbolt got stuck so the door wouldn't close, which I managed to fix myself. Finally, the fire alarm went off at 6 AM waking us up. Burnt toast. Upon returning to the room the room key didn't work again and we replaced it for a second time. Aside from that, you can hear every noise in the halls, and folks were noisy, knocking on doors and calling to people in the middle of the night. The beds were comfortable, though, and the room was pretty clean, but I wouldn't stay here again.

The only concern is the drainage in the tub wasn’t draining accurately.

We had to move rooms because air conditioner broke and leaked everywhere. I’m fine with that. But the manager didn’t want to compensate anything - instead gave me a bag of a couple waters (3 guests) and some snacks - didn’t even bother to ask if myself and my son were allergic to peanuts which is what snacks we were mostly given. There is NO shuttle service as advertised on SEVERAL websites. Y’all should have that taken down. The staff themselves were just so wonderful, kind, and helpful - especially the gentleman from the kitchen staff. You are definitely charged for parking - 20$ per day, which again, the manager didn’t want to comp that either. The room was clean. The hotel is close to a gas station. The location is ok, but you have to turn right then go back up the road because that’s your only option. Overall, the kitchen staff- that guy was enough to want to stay again.

I have only one complaint. The property should install new windows. Noise from the street (traffic, train, etc) is loud.
