    The whole point of booking this hotel was for valet parking. When we arrived they said valet is sold out and to go into the sold out parking garage and try and find your own parking. What a nightmare! We ended up having to park blocks away in a public parking garage which is exactly what we wanted to avoid by booking this Hilton.

    The Canopy is a beautiful hotel and is perfectly situated at the Wharf. The one troublesome area is the elevators. We had to call the front desk to leave our floor because our access cards would not work. The entry level elevators did not allow hotel guests so you have to walk upstairs to the lobby. This was our fourth stay at the Canopy and we’re likely to book there again. Hopefully they get the elevator situation working consistently.

    We stayed here for a weekend getaway. Perfectly located in the wharf where all of the restaurants and shops are of walking distance. I enjoyed the breakfast overlooking the water and wait staff was great. I would highly recommend.

    The location was incredible, situated right on the wharf. Excellent restaurants, entertainment and an amazing view were right outside. The location was also in walking distance to many attractions such as the Jefferson Memorial. The one downside was there was no swimming pool which my kids were looking forward to.

    The location location location is amazing! Also I truly enjoyed the rooftop bar and restaurant and being able to rent the Canopy bike for free. I also loved the design of the shower. I will stay there again.

    I loved my stay at this hotel. The rooms are beautiful, but a tad small. The hotel staff were pleasant and accommodating. I was able to request a later checkout because I had an event to attend and the location of the hotel is perfect. The views of the wharf is beautiful and there are plenty of eateries in proximity. The hotel also offers meals and delicious cocktails. I would definitely stay again when I return to DC!

    First, the hotel does not have luggage carts-be prepared especially if you have a lot of luggage. Second, while the location is perfect -so much to see in the area -food options are boundless, parking rates are outrageous. Lastly, i gave this only 3 stars and will NOT book there again because of the view. I booked and pd a lot of money ($800 for 2 nights) a marina view. I looked at the photos and triple checked my selection. When i got there they said that they only really have courtyard/partial marina view. I tried to point out my reservations with the classification clearly shown marina view-nothing was done. 80% of our view was the courtyard. We had to look at an angle to get a glimpse of the water. Completely disappointing -not at all like the photos. Won’t be back.

    There was some type of substance used to draw a face on the window so we had to have housekeeping immediately come in to wipe the window down which obviously wasn’t done between the last occupants departure and my check in. I definitely expect a better experience at Canopy given the costs we pay in this economy.

    There was no waitstaff in the bar. Had to go to the bar to order and pickup drinks. Furniture in the bar was not comfortable, nor was decor particularly inviting. Lounge chair in room was stained. Repulsive to consider sitting on. Bathroom sliding door wouldn’t stay closed. If this was a low end cheap hotel, I could understand. Canopy needs to up their game.

    Loved the location. It was a New Year's Day so the bar in the hotel was closed. They offered a wine tasting which really wasn't a wine tasting. They gave one wine without context. I'm a light sleeper so the sound of the HVAC system cycling on and off was annoying so I didn't get good sleep. Overall I will not choose this hotel again. It met the need for walking distance to my dinner reservation at Hell's Kitchen for my birthday.

This particular stay was, literally, around the corner from the music venue where our son had a Sunday evening show. When we dropped the car off for valet, they said they would text us - never did. When I called the front desk to retrieve the car, she said we would need to respond to the text. I had to go outside of the building to call for the car, then when we were back in the car, we got a text thanking us for using valet, so they clearly had the correct phone number. Will definitely be choosing another hotel on the Wharf next time.

    Communication regarding phones being down was missed. 2 ladies working the Front Desk were a bit too arogant at check and forgot to mention the phones.     The room was awesome! The only negative thing i could say is the lobby is not properly identified, so you don't know where to check in, and the elevator controls are messed up at best. We couldn't figure out how to use them. Never been in an elevator without floor buttons before! But the hotel itself is beautiful, with beautiful rooms, and valet parking inside. We had a wonderful stay, and will definitely be staying there again in the future.

    Super close to The Anthem. Staff was friendly. There were some misses with our stay (2 lights in the room wouldn’t turn off), valet was AWOL, misrepresented the complimentary “cocktail l” reception…but all in all a good stay. Didn’t have breakfast at the hotel. Bar was too loud at 6pm so we went somewhere else.

    Was returned to original room. The room was worn, no water or snacks on arrival. Coffee machine and tea offered with no milk. Returned to reception the next and given a river room 2 floors up. View was fantastic but the bed was worn, the coffee machine didn’t work and it all 3 apartments I saw there was paint all over the floors. Whoever designed painted wooden barn doors in the bathrooms must have been mad. I know how difficult and time consuming they are to clean and felt sorry for the cleaners. There was remnants of the last visitors toilet explorations on the door and the bin, very gross. The water pressure in the sink was terrible. The room curtains are not quite black out. Night staff terrible, day staff must more accommodating. Security very welcoming. The location was exceptional however it is by far one of the worst 4* hotels I have ever stayed at, I have never been to a 4* hotel anywhere in the world where there is not so much as a bottle of water waiting in the room. Also attempted drinks and a meal at the rooftop bar restaurant. Views were incredible, staff friendly but they lost our food order.

    I am giving only two stars for the following three reasons: 1. The river view is not exactly a view of a river (see pictures). It is very similar to what is shown in the picture for the Marina view rooms on the reservation page, which is cheaper. I paid extra to get a river view room to make my son's birthday extra special, but we were definitely disappointed, and I don't think it's worth the price. I complained about this to the front desk staff - they were not very friendly about this matter and said the room I got was indeed a river view, and I should have gotten a "river front view" to have a view of the river directly in front of the room. A more honest picture of the view from a room would have been helpful. 2. Valet parking is short-staffed. The hotel is located directly above Public Parking Garage 1. We tried to do valet parking, which included in-and-out privileges, but the wait was too long, so I went ahead and self-parked in the garage, which does not have in-and-out privileges. 3. The card key access on the door from the courtyard to the inside was broken. We could have locked ourselves out, but my clever son suggested that one person should stay inside in case we can't come back in. There was no warning sign about it on the door from the inside.

    The hotel location was great. We were in town for a concert two blocks away and had a corner room with a view. The hotel was undergoing renovations and there were some issues with hot water but the hotel went above and beyond to make it right with us. Valet parking was a little high but you are paying for the convenience. There are several great restaurants and The Anthem is a block away. Will definitely stay here in the future.

    The first picture you see is the nice picture showing the fire pit which was the deciding factor between this hotel and others. So we really only choose to is hotel for the fire pit on the roof top only. And to Check in and be told that “oh we don’t have the fire pits” was very disappointing on so many levels. 1, the rate was much higher than other hotels around so I’m think okay well they have more amenities so we don’t mind paying a little more to get what we wanted and don’t let me get started on the “queen beds” which seem to be more like a twin bed.

    The Wharf is a fantastic location to stay while visiting DC for pleasure. So many options for food, drinks, coffee and entertainment, all just steps away. The Canopy was modern, clean and easy to navigate. The staff were very friendly and helpful; no one that we spoke to seemed annoyed to be there. We didn’t eat at the hotel restaurant because we were surrounded by so many others, but we did visit the rooftop bar and loved the views. The room was clean and had a very hip decor. Only complaint was that the TV wasn’t working correctly; something about an outage for local stations. We chose to Uber to the Mall area, but there is a Metro station a 10 minute walk away, or rental electric bikes and scooters everywhere. Would 100% recommend this hotel.

    The room was exactly as the picture with the Marina view Good insulation on the walls. Not perfect, but good. The Nesspreso machine was broken so couldn’t use it. Overall I enjoyed my stay and will compare it with the intercontinental next door next time.

    Theuy dining experience at the canopy bar was terrible. Despite having a reservation there was no one at the counter to assist with seating. The server took close to 45 minutes to take the order then came back to ask what we had ordered. Then we had another come to the table to ask if we had a reservation. The table we were seated at, had the son beating in our eyes. The blinds were broken and that didn’t help. In addition the server didn’t offer to change the seating despite seeing our discomfort. At check in for the room they were unable to locate the reservation. Requested for room service, we received the meal in takeaway boxes with plastic cutlery. The folk taking the order could barely speak / understand English.

    The hotel itself was very nice and very walkable to nearby restaurants; however, I arrived on a Friday night and was told that valet was full. I had to circle a nearby parking garage for nearly 30 minutes to eventually find a parking spot. It was a double parking spot (which required me to leave my keys with an attendant), but before getting that spot, I was initially told that I could not park there because I was "overnight" parking. I was eventually allowed to park there, but had to watch the parking attendants nearly get into a physical brawl to accommodate all of the vehicles needing to be parked. Upon making the trek with my luggage to Canopy, I was highly disappointed when the hotel clerk only said "sorry" regarding their valet service being at capacity and explaining it by saying that we had more guests check in than anticipated. There were no other complementary gesture or offer made. I expect when the hotel website notes that self-parking is unavailable and that valet will be, for it to actually be available. That certainly will make me question whether to stay at this property again because of the hassle with parking.

    Our room wasn’t clean and we reserve a king bed room and the room they gave us was queen and when I asked the front desk they told me that is the king bed and we have a king bed at our house and we know how a king bed size is. The comforter was too light weight for winter stay and when we asked for blanket they gave us some very thin blanket. Our room bathroom and carpet wasn’t clean at all and even the bed cover have lots of spot in it. The hotel front desk were not nice every time we asked for something. I definitely won’t recommend this hotel and we reserved this hotel based on the reviews and we are disappointed. The area is beautiful and a lot of good options for food

    The room was extremely hot. The water was not running. It was barely a drip. Using the shower was like someone took a small bucket of water and just splashed it on me because that was it.

    The only drawback during my stay was the noise level; it was quite disruptive as sounds from outside my room could be heard at all hours of the night. This made it difficult for me to get a good night's sleep, leading to restless nights and interrupted rest. However, aside from that issue, I genuinely enjoyed my overall experience. The accommodations and amenities were excellent, and the staff were friendly and attentive, making my time there enjoyable despite the nighttime disturbances.

    Beautiful hotel, great location, clean rooms, and the shower is fantastic! The only negative was it has the worst elevator system I’ve ever seen. You have to select the desired floor outside on a touch pad and then scan your hotel key. It would say access denied. We would rescan and then it would direct you to another elevator. We were on the 7th floor and on 3 occasions the elevator opened and took us to the wrong floor, I guess the 7th floor selection wasn’t accepted. Just keep it simple with the buttons inside the elevator, the would be recommended to improve the experience.
