We’re not ideal. And no microwave. But still the hotel overall is a top pick!

Great stay. The bar was nice. Very convenient location. A couple of blocks to Metro. Plenty of restaurants nearby. Safe and walkable. Clean and modern. Not far from the white house and mall. A good place weekend home base. My only complaint is they advertise the roof top terrace and it looks amazing in the adds but it is not open to guests except as part of a function. The terrace is why i picked this over the others but it is still very nice for the above reasons.

I loved everything about the hotel, front desk, the food. Everyone was so sweet and so nice. I want to give a shout out to the Cook of the restaurant that brown sugar salmon is 1000.. I will always come back to AC hotel downtown. I love it.❤️❤️❤️❤️

Loved the location. It was walking distance from local restaurants and shopping stores. Staff was pretty nice and helpful. Also we had a clogged sink and when we called to report it, maintenance came and fixed it right away!

I love the spaces in the lobby, the quietness and elegance. Our room was beautiful, the style of the room was something else. Lovely! And the welcome in the tv with my name make me feel special, so nice touch! They didn’t have a microwave in the room

For breakfast, I had the croissant breakfast sanwhich and it was literally out of this world. It was soooo good!

I don’t want to call it false advertising but they have a rooftop restaurant/sitting area that is being advertised in the pictures of the hotel but it’s not for hotel guests. It is only for “special events”! They really need to mention that in the description of the hotel as it was one of the reasons I booked this hotel. Also, 70% of the rooms have the view of the office building on the other side of the “courthouse” as it is described. People working in the office can see your room since it is only 45-50 ft away. There are some rooms with city view but one has to specifically ask for them and pay extra for it.

You can hear everything in the adjacent rooms. Not very quiet. It is supposed to be nonsmoking but the hallway smelled of smoke.

The parking was not good for my big Chevy truck. I had to pay $73 extra for valet parking that was basically beside hotel! Not happy it should have stated only small cars allowed

Simple place but for over $500, I’ve stayed at nicer Holiday Inn Express. Small, extremely simple rooms with very firm bed. Nothing special and definitely not great at the price.

I like the fact that it’s clean I hope that this expectation stays top tier? Double incidental charges

I mistakenly booked this location instead of the AC Hotel Convention Center, which has a nearly identical name. I was physically present in Washington, DC at the time and contacted the Downtown property immediately to resolve the error. The hotel declined to offer any modification or goodwill adjustment. When I previously reached out to Expedia, I was advised that support would be reviewed, but I have not received any follow-up communication. I am respectfully requesting Expedia’s assistance in advocating for either a reservation credit, modification, or refund, as this was an honest booking error involving two similarly named properties under the same brand in the same city. Please let me know the status of this request.

I would like to say staying at AC Marriott is a quality warranty but this one proves me wrong, the hotel seems neglected, the rooms are really tiny (I believe is because well, it is DC) and one time the cantaloupe on the breakfast was outdated, definitely the worst AC Marriott I have ever stayed

Valet parking service was terrible. No one there upon arrival and then no clear way to understand how much or where my car would be parked.

The location is perfect! It is close to many restaurants and not far from many DC attractions. Finding parking was a challenge sometimes because I did not valet.

Nice hotel with a great lobby.

The house keeping also really sucked, the room was extremely dirty. They did not change sheets or vacuum even after we requested multiple times. These concerns were addressed to Luis, the manager at the time, he offered free breakfast and $20 snack voucher. It did not seem like it was enough as we felt extremely unsafe during our trip.

We loved this place! It served well for our purpose which was a place to sleep :). It was a little noisy due to construction right outside of our window but we’re from NYC so it didn’t bother us. We’re also used to walking everywhere so 20 mins to the White House and other attractions f lt just about right - and it’s a nice walk, no isolated streets. The staff is beyond lovely, and the hotel has a very hip vibe - did I mention 2 happy hours a night? This place was perfect for us!

Hotel room itself is very modern with all the comforts you could desire including numerous places to recharge your electronics. Great modern fridge and cold water awaiting you at check in. Best of all were the great staff at reception, always courteous. Only recommendation is that mirrors be placed in the corners by the elevators so when you get off to go down the corridor you aren't surprised by other guests.

Amazing stay!

Everything was great. We arrived early and were able to check in with no problems. The room was nice and clean. The bed was very comfortable. I usually don’t sleep more than 4 hours a night. I slept for 7 hours on that bed. EXCELLENT!!

We were without power throughout each night and morning of our stay. Hotel staf was very helpful.

I truly enjoyed staying with AC Hotel by Marriott, the property is clean and located in a lovely area. Staff was wonderful, dining was good, accomodations were great. Nothing negative to voice would definitely return.

We enjoyed our stay there, we liked the wood floor design(much better than carpet), and the whole room looked clean and nice. The only little headache thing is that hotel does not provide free self-parking spots, only valet parking option which is understandalbe, because it's in downtown area. However, it's so hard to find a paid 24 hours parking grages around the hotel either, so we have to drive around couple times and finally found one acroess the street, so parking is definately a little issue, other than that, everything else is great!

There was little power most of the time. Upon wakening there was no power. The breakfast’s I paid for was no available to us. I am looking for a refund for that.

From one o'clock in the morning until 7 a.m. there was no light, the air conditioner didn't work, it was very hot, we didn't get the breakfast for which we paid. Not very polite staff, I don't recommend it!

I normally don’t leave reviews unless I’ve had a bad experience, but the service and experience really was awesome. The staff was friendly, they allowed me an early check-in at no passion cost as I hadn’t slept the night before and arrived in DC early. Small things like that really made my experience great. The atmosphere is sophisticated, but fuss-free. They also offer a happy hour in the lobby at the bar that I didn’t take advantage of but it seemed lovely. Located right across from a 24 hours WaWa and Starbucks right around the corner (3 mins walking). For this to be my first time in DC, I definitely know where I’ll be staying next time I visit. Thanks for a great experience!

Pros: Great central location, clean, comfortable beds, great shower/bathroom, great bar with Happy Hour, awesome vibe. Cons: Only negative was checking out - the line was long and there was only 1 person at the desk who was problem solving a billing issue with a client. I needed to check my overnight bag for the day otherwise I would have left the key.

Nothing too special about this hotel. the location was convenient for where I wanted to go. I appreciated the valet parking but it was too expensive. which it was a 24 hour parking garage nearby but it seemed like most was closed after hours. overall, staff is friendly and helpful, clean environment.

The biggest yet funniest issue was how ridiculously slow and old the tv was. The length of time if took for it to actually load was so long I kept taking mini naps in between. Lol even netflix wouldn't show previews. Also, when i checked in and out the staff failed to tell me my cost or give me a receipt, I had to ask for both. Despite those concerns, they were nice enough to put a sweet treat in my room for my birthday and the room was very clean and bed extremely comfortable. Bottomline I would not recommend it for treating yourself for any special occasion but definitely a very nice quality business stay or place for tourist.

WiFi was terrible.

Not a family friendly hotel otherwise good people, service and clean hotel. No high chair at breakfast area, table for 2 people only. No free parking and the valet parking is around 70 after tax. Not easy to find parking either. Valet people are nice. Its good for business or couple I believe. Breakfast are pretty good. Pastry are decent and flaky like freshly made. They are great coffee shop just beside the hotel.

Very Courteous Staff, Cleanness, Great Facilities

The stay was nice but upon arrival the receptionist completely ignored us for a good 2 minutes so it was just silent while he typed on his computer.. even if he was busy he could’ve let us know but it was silent. During our stay the toilet also was making loud sounds that woke us up in the middle of the night. We had to flush it multiple times for it to stop. The bar was lovely and the bar tenders were extremely kind as well. Overall a good stay but some issues.
