It was clean There are stated” quiet hours” , we called the front desk 3 times about loud partying just outside our door ,The first response we got was “security doesn’t get here until after 11 pm”, the second call “is it still happening?” We got no sleep and had a long drive ahead of us. Will NEVER stay here again Very disappointing

It was beautiful, awesome location! Wasn’t as clean had a lot of hair in the bathroom and on my bed as well as sheets, there was spider webs with several spiders in or near them in the room.

Not much to say here honestly. I mean we didn't die so that was good. We were sold one room online and when we arrived we were given a smaller room with less amenities. With the money we were charged we expected something nice instead we got barley economy standards. Gates were zip-tied shut because they were broken. Ducks in the pool. Construction everywhere. It was loud. We will never do this again.

No bed sheets to fit the king size bed. Ducks in the pools and hot tubs, leaving feces in and around the water. Balconies were closed but price was not lowered to account for reduced accommodations.

Check in required two extra trips to the front desk. Our keys didn’t work and the second time back to the desk the clerk realized he’d given us the wrong room number. We were only here for one night. The room was clean and spacious enough for 4 adults. They provided body lotion and shampoo but no shower gel. There was one tiny bar of soap, we didn’t request any products that may have been on us. It was fine for our one night in Virginia Beach.

The front desk personnel told me to let the engineer check out my room to see if we needed to change rooms!! Well we did now this room was dusty and black spots( look like mold was around the vents in the ceiling. I was told that this place is closing in October till next March 2025 for repairs, I wish i knew that before booking, my 5night stay I would have made other arrangements. You need to be closed now!

We enjoyed the kids pool for my 2 yr old granddaughter but it was very noisey with the luggage carriers outside our room all hours of the night and day. So far from main attractions

It was our first time staying here and we had a great time at the pools and hot tubs!!! The hotel is outdated but the staff were very nice and welcoming. The room we stayed was VERY spacious and had everything we need including a full kitchen. Short Walking distance to the beach and restaurants.

We enjoyed our stay. Would most likely come back. Understand the need for room key for admittance to pool etc. but had a few issues where the card reader wasn’t working. Only other thing … where were we supposed to pick up towels for the pool?

The young lady at check in and the young lady at check out were great, parking was easy and location great but, our room was not worth what we paid. Not clean, chip pieces and crumbs on the floor, several large stains on the floor, furniture did not look clean, trash and nail clippings on the floor in the bathroom. Again, a great location, friendly staff, just needed to be clean and furnishings, flooring upgraded or cleaned.

This was a nice stay for our family with teens. We had a two bedroom suite, we enjoyed the pools, and there are several very good dining options in walking distance.

Hotel looks cute on outside, even with all the construction on the balconies. The inside looked run down, and the room I booked didn’t even have a shower curtain in it. It felt more like a $60 a night room and not nearly $300. Definitely not worth it.

The balconies were not in use therefore the whole apartment smelled mildewey and moist around also the washer and dryer were broken. The bathroom tub could have used a better cleaning. The counter tops were dirty and granny full of sand. The kid's pool was also very dirty full of sand. The staff when checking in was very short and unpleasant. Had a very as a matter of fact demeanor. Very noisy out in the hallway where kids running back and forth. End result checked out early.

Great pools for the kids. Super close to the boardwalk and beach. Located in a good area for families, away from the partying and college crowd. Good sized room and bathroom for a family of four. Only negative was our room bordered Pacific avenue and the sound of traffic was loud overnight.

Beds were both sunken in and made a very loud creaking sound. Small freezer was filled with frost so difficult to fit anything in it. Our safe would not open, needed the items inside. Waited a half hr with no response and we didnt want to sit around anymore. I asked to cancel the request as we were going to leave the room and did not want any staff in our room with the contents of the safe, but they still went ahead and sent someone in when i wasn't there, leaving our valuable items/money in the safe with the door open. Only one elevator, so it could be a lengthy walk from one end to the other. Good things, pool was very nice, front desk staff and everyone walking around were very pleasant. Nice access to the beach.

The staff is rude and they don’t even have enough to run the place so you can’t even check in on time The so-called abilities are mostly broke in the hotel the rooms don’t even work properly, such as none of the plugs you have to park in another parking lot in order to be able to park the keys. Don’t work properly to get into your room. The facility itself is under construction so it’s dirty. The list goes on and on so again if you wanna throw away your money, go ahead and book a room here, I suggest staying someplace else

The staff here makes it a great stay. They are accommodating and friendly. They work hard and keep this place going. Some areas does need updating like pull out sofa, beds, and our washer/dryer combo was replaced during our stay...Love the pool area and activities throughout the day. Great location.

I've always loved turtle cay! The property is beautiful and the rooms are great. Staff is always wonderful. This time the computer was down and we couldn't get room keys until about 6pm. I understand this is no one's fault but we had an early relative with us who unfortunately wet herself while we were waiting for someone to open the room door.

The studio room bathroom wall was gross. The paint around the tub was cracking and dirty. The shower rod was rusty. I felt like I was in a motel 6. I’ve stayed here before and this property has really gone down.

The clubhouse rooms come with a lot room for family and friends to share. Great kitchen area. Makes it’s easier to cook and save.

This place was able to accommodate us last minute. My two girls loved the pools and hot tubs, huge plus. Our room was very clean and quiet. They are in the process of rebuilding balconies so we couldn’t use them, but I would still stay here again. Very short walk to restaurants and beach. Staff was friendly and helpful.

Always love my stay here. It was a little noisy with the people setting off their alarms at 6am in the parking garage to find their car. Probably heard it 4-5 times between 6am-9am but it’s nothing the hotel can help. The staff is always super friendly and it’s nice that their rooms have a living room and a kitchen and everything you need to stay comfortably while you are there. Probably the only place I would ever want to stay at if I got a room at the ocean front and I’m a local if that says anything. Just need the tourists to learn how to be quiet. No one wants to hear yall all day and all night.

Once it is book 9 time out of 10 it the stay will be nonrefundable, regardless of the condition of the property etc. This particular location in Va Beach sent a text blast a few days prior to our reservation letting us know that ALL balconies are close due to construction. By the time we received the notification it was too late to try to pursue a refund! This location should invest in carpets, new furniture, and paint! The furniture in the rooms had cigarette burn in the cushion. The pull-out couches for the kids to sleep on the mattress was soiled and moldy. The rooms have an odor. This entire location is in a badly need a facelift! The pool area/front desk were the cleanest part of the property! It is in a good location; you literally walk across the street to the beach! Planet Pizza is about a five minute' walk from the location. I would recommend it the food was amazing! The kids really enjoyed the pizza and wings. If I could give a no star I would for the rooms! The service was great the young lady that checked us in on May 4 was very professional. However, that does not make up for the price charged for this stay! I was highly disappointed I do not recommend this location.

Glass on the living room floor when we arrived. Smoke alarms kept on going off for no reason. My daughter could not get out of the shower due to bad glass door hard to open. End up bruising her hand trying to get out.

The hotel was what was expected. The location is great even though it's not oceanfront it's literally across the street and have sister property you have access to that is oceanfront. The rooms were clean and decently set up.

There were small issues with cleanliness but nothing that would deter me from staying here again. Room was spacious and comfortable and the kitchen was nice..not well stocked but stocked enough to get the job done. The balconies were undergoing renovations but they seemed super nice. The pool grounds were very nice and made you feel like you weren’t in Virginia but maybe somewhere more tropical like. Easy walking distance to some great restaurants especially a breakfast joint called Sunnyside (you get a discount if stay at Turtle Cay).

This place was so nice for our three night stay. It was clean and offered many amenities. The pool area was well maintained and enjoyable for everyone. The room was spacious with a full kitchen area and large living room area. The staff were pleasant and attentive. I will definitely stay here again!

The staff was very nice, and helpful. The pools were really nice, as well as the whirlpool. The room was nice and spacious. I would definitely remember this property.

The grounds rules are handed to you at check-in. Big red letters, no smoking or Marijuana use while on grounds. Open door to our room and strong smell of Marijuana throughout the room. Stayed that way entire weekend. Also, noise of people running down hallways into late hours. Not an enjoyable stay.

They rent rooms to drug addicts!! It’s super outdated and very scary at night. The rooms have mold and are filthy. People were knocking on our doors late to play games in their room. They appeared to be on drugs because it was 2am. Staff and managers seemed to be so unbothered and did nothing to help. They had the worst customer service I have ever seen.

Asked to be changed, they moved us and upgraded as an apology, which I thought was extremely nice. When checking out they made us pay for the upgrade!

By that point we gave up and went to our event. We got back pretty late to a raging party next door that lasted for hours. Overall, would not recommend. Should have paid the extra $20 to stay at the Hilton across the street.

This property was reasonably priced, and I wasn’t expecting much for a one night stay. However, the staff was outstanding, and while the property is a bit dated, it was absolutely perfect for my party of three. We will most definitely be returning to Turtle Cay when we travel to Virginia Beach!

Didn’t like checking in later in the day to find out there was no body wash or shampoo. A lot of other things in the room or covered in dust and dead bugs but other than that not too bad of a day.

It was a beautiful room. However, I noticed that the kitchen appliances were dirty and greasy. The utensils all had food residue on them, and the pots looked as if someone had just fried food in them and placed them away without cleaning. This was my only concern during my stay.

Initially had a problem with a fireplace and they immediately and professionally rectified the problem. The entire staff was very professional and went above and beyond to make my stay comfortable.

Checked into my suite and kitchen had ants all over the counter. Was transferred to another room and the kitchen was dirty, cabinets had dried food, etc. I let the morning staff know because I was too tired once we got in and I just needed to sleep.

The room is conjoined with another room and you can see through the crack of the entire door when the other room has a light on and vice versa. Slamming doors and people stomping constantly. The bed is not comfortable, remote buttons broken.

This trip was in the off season so it was not crowded. The staff were friendly. The room was nice and large. Parking in the basement garage was a plus. The pools looked inviting but it was too cold for us. Overall, this is a good place to stay.

The rooms were clean and nice. Not allot of TV selections (No smart TV's) in my room anyway. The adjoining rooms only have one door so each room can hear each ohter really well did not like that much.

Over all the stay was great, everyone was very accommodating. There was an employee that did give us attitude for asking a question the night before our check out but other then that it was great
