I loved waking up to the ocean for the time period I was down there. Only thing I didn't like was it was ants crawling around in the living room that's all.

It was close to the beach It wasn’t the cleanest. It was outdated as well. The only put one role of extra toilet paper for a three night, 4 day stay. The most annoying part: the elevator. Upon arrival it didn’t work. The lady at the front desk had to reset it. Just to get us up to the 7th floor. She also stated it’s a rare thing, that it doesn’t happen often .. it did in fact happen often. I don’t think I’d pay to stay here again.

the Property shows some aging all around but it wasn’t a crumby rundown property they did some respectable upgrades and the rooms ocean view was spectacular love that balcony as well the Room was straight it was ok. . I enjoyed myself it’s super close a quick walk to everything shopping food beach bars a nice price for what you get and where it’s at

I took my kids here for spring break and it was by far the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. Our room was FILTHY. It literally looked like the housekeeper just came in and made the bed and walked out. There were crumbs all over the counters from previous guest, there were old wrappers and crumbs all in the beds and couch, and the remote control had sauce all over it. I dropped something behind the bed and when I moved it back, there was trash EVERYWHERE. As soon as I went to the bathroom and lifted the toilet seat, it came off. There were dead bugs in the sofa bed that you can tell had been there a while. The only good thing about this hotel was the view. They only have an outdoor pool which was closed even though the temperature was great outside. I asked for towels and was told they had to wait for the rooms to be cleaned to get the towels from those rooms. The elevator was shaking and made loud noises and the area just looked unsafe in general. Truly the worst experience I have had and definitely not worth the money.

Pool was closed for the season and hadn’t opened up yet, but we had a great view of the ocean!!! We enjoyed ourselves a lot!!!

The property was clean and the staff was friendly. However, we couldn't sleep at night due to noise from the parking lot and neighbors. The wall was so thin that I could easily hear others talking throughout the night. Although the property was fine, we will not come back due to noise.

Clean. rooms open to the outside. Very noisy, could hear upstairs conversation through vent in bathroom, could hear all surrounding toilets flush. Balcony tight, would have to sit sideways to fit your legs

The ocean view was beautiful, the balcony space is very small, only 2 people on the balcony at a time for there to still be enough space.

Great location. Spacious room. Wonderful view. Hotel was safe and secure. Room was clean. WIFI was good. Separate bedroom with its own door was a godsend the first night due to the noise on the boardwalk late into the night. Closing the bedroom door made it nice and quiet. Parking was also easy and free. Will definitely consider staying here again next time I’m in VA Beach!

Staff were great 😊, friendly, helpful, inviting. Hot water was inconsistent but I wasn’t too bothered. Oh, Elevator could use service too I think 😬 Overall- a nice uneventful stay.

Friendly staff and amazing views

Easy registration. The staff are courteous and helpful. Room was just what we needed. Spacious area. We like the kitchenette with 2 stove burners. Ncie apartment size fridge. 2 large screen tvs with cable. The view of the ocean makes it great to wake up to. We have stayed in the past. Recommend SureStay when in the Va Beach area.

Love this property we have stayed here 4 years in a row for the Neptune Festival. Great location, great layout of room and plenty of space. Everyone in my family in not crammed in a small little hotel room like most places.

Great hotel for what they provide and price. So convenient to be able to cook in your room.

It was exactly what we were looking for. Convenient, studio style, oceanfront room. The only down side was the one elevator and it sounded like it was on its last leg.

The beds were so uncomfortable, cheap. Towels and bed linen so cheap and old. My reservation was for Spring Hill by Marriott but on the day of my trip someone called me from Expedia and told me the my hotel has some fire issues and the offer me this hotel Sure stay but the difference is big nothing to compare with my original reservation in Spring Hill. Very disappointed☹️☹️☹️☹️☹️ I think Expedia needs to evaluate that factor. The quality of the places before change it.

Easy access to the beach. Staff service, nice and friendly. Convenient location close to everything Shower option on the hallway, convenient when returning from beach. The room was great. The room temperature. Anytime we needed anything we received it. Suggestion Please provide a better elevator option, there is just one elevator and it is always busy, it was so busy, one day I spent around 10-15 minutes going up to 5th floor for ice, unfortunately the ice machine did not work, so I have to taking another 10-15 minutes to get 7th floor and try on second machine, then another 10-15 minutes to return my room, and another 10-15 minutes to get to 1st floor.

Room service was slow, the elevator was slow. I paid and left my device and I still haven't received it almost a month later.

This is the 2nd time we stayed at SureStay and have had a great experience both times. I love the location. It is easy access to the beach. It is secure as far as how to access the elevator to the upper floors. We will be back next year!!

The room was great. Some reviews said they had trouble getting extra towels i did not experience this. Anytime i needed anything i received it. Another review said they didnt provide blankets that was not the case the blankets are located in the closet and for the pullout sofa in the drawer. Our stay was exceptional. No complaints at all. I am glad I didn't let a couple of bad reviews stop me from renting here. Also very clean.

My family and i really enjoyed staying at this hotel, we always had roomservice come and drop off clean towels, the place has plates pans ext. Definitely recommended and most definitely will be staying here in the future

Only really had an issue with the elevator was not always working properly, we were also told there was an oven and their was not so we had to improvise on our dinners for the week. The pool is kind of in an awkward spot not much shade and super loud since it’s right next to the fans blowing. Good location right on the beach a very small walk to the beach. House keeping kept up with clean towels everyday however they did take some money it was only $20 but it was my hard earned $20.

The room was fine, AC worked well, beds were comfortable- take your own pillow and a blanket all they have are sheets on the bed. When we tried to use the microwave- it and the TV went off (shorted out I guess) we called the front desk they said they’d send someone up, they didn’t. We also notified the man exchanging towels, he said he get it taken care of, he didn’t. So that was a bit frustrating. Fridge is great! We enjoyed having it so we could keep drinks and snacks. Overall we would stay here again, it was convenient to the beach, has a couple of good restaurants around, and served our needs. I hope they fix the tv/microwave issue and train the front desk lady to be a bit more professional.

The property was surprisingly clean and fairly well kept. That's not always been my experience at these beachfront properties. Little kitchen was sufficient for my wife and I.

For the price, this hotel was exceptional. The staff were so helpful and nice, and my boyfriend and I would always see staff cleaning and making the property spotless. Very clean, safe, and convenient. It is right on the oceanfront and close to everything. We would definitely come back.

I could only suggest that since it is an ocean front studio to offer beach towel even at a cost to the customer because coming from Florida I was not going to buy a beach towel to use only here since my carrier would not permit extra weight. I’m sure that customers would rent beach towel at fair price from the studio.

Last minute trip and this hotel had a reasonable price looked at the reviews and there wasn’t anything crazy so we took a chance! A no frills, or thrills hotel. For a family with the kitchenette, right on the oceanfront great value, parking was tight though.

Nice ocean view! Saw lots of dolphins. Room was kinda small but we made it work. Elevator super slow. Staff was friendly and had everything stocked. Shops and everything walking distance from hotel.

Overall the stay was good. Mattress was uncomfortable, I like to sleep on my side and I had to keep turn sides because if I laid on one side too long it started to hurt. This trip reminds me to request to be in the middle when I book my next room because the end with the elevator is noisy and if your on the 5th or 7th floor on the end with the ice machine that can get noisy as well.

While the location of the property was great the hotel had zero amenities. There were no food options or even vending machines for snack or drinks. The floor in the room was dirty and our feet were black if we walked barefoot. The elevator was a bit sketchy. The view was AMAZING and the access to the beach was perfect.

The only problem I had with the stay was the Odors in the hallways and the elevator they smelled really bad, they was clean but just had a very bad odor. The rooms was very clean and smelled good and clean so no real issues there.

The staff was responsive to our every request. I love location. The kitchen is sparely populated with utensils and pots, so remember to bring some extra, if you are planning on cooking. The stove top instructions are pretty inscrutable.

HVAC very noisy. Requested assistance opening safe but no one came. An alternate room was offered but declined.

The hotel was enjoyable because it is not my first time staying there but the bathtub kept getting backed up waters because something was clogging up the drain pipe

The floor was dirty when we arrived and when we were ready to go to sleep, we seen a roach. We also seen another when we were leaving.

My room was very nice. The covered parking deck is small but I was able to find a spot each time I needed to. The elevator is very slow, that’s my only complaint.

Great stay

One ofthe best stays I have had at Virginia Beach so far. The lady that checked me in (I believe her name was Sheila? Sorry, horrible with remembering names) went above and beyond to make my stay memorable one. The hotel room provides everything you would need. Love that the kitchen came fully prepped with kitchen items. Also liked that they have their own little hidden shower area so you can rinse the sand off before going into the hotel without fighting the line at the showers on the boardwalk.

I loved our rooms. They were spacious and clean. I brought my own cookware thinking they would not have enough. They provided plenty of kitchen items. You do not have to bring anything!! The staff were wonderful. Very helpful. One of the staff moved their car so we didn't have to go up to the next level to park when we checked in. I liked that you have to use your room key to access the elevator. I felt very safe. I loved the passageway to access the boardwalk and beach. We will definitely be back next year!!

My family had a great vacation at the Sure Stay by Best Western. The office staff were very friendly and nice for check in and check out. The room was very clean and the house keeping staff was excellent. The hotel is close to a handful of stores(shopping, cafe's, ice cream, and restaurants) and an arcade.

The view and access to the beach was phenomenal. The pool was great for the not beach times. Facilities are pretty basic but serviceable and the staff was responsive to every request. Beach on one side and Atlantic Ave on the other- great location. Only downside was the slow and creaky rickety elevator. There is only one- period- for staff and guests. You could tell everyone was over it. Overall 4 stars because some things you just cant put a price on.

The manager was top tier and went over snd beyond to satisfy. The staff was not as thorough and stains were present on the couch and sheets. They need more private staging area so that the patrons aren’t privy to everything they do. An example is they were hand cleaning mattresses in the walkway so it kind of looked like a bedbug issue.

Elevators were very slow and hot inside. Housekeeping didn't come until 3:30-4:00. Rooms on website are deceiving to when you see the room in person. Shower drain clogged.

Second time staying within a month. Room was clean as a whistle. Convenient to the beach . Affordable!! Served the purpose! Will return soon

The property was really nice and so were the rooms. It was right on the beach! We travelled with 4 kids l, so the rooms were perfect for our 1 night stay. Will definitely be returning.

Staff was great and easy to work with. Location looks run down from the outside but the rooms are uodated and clean. Easy access to the beach and lots of shopping and dining locations within a comfortable walk.

Beautiful place

Hotel was comfortable . Bed was a “Queen” but felt very small. Rooms were clean. 7 floors and very inconvenient to only have one small elevator . Have to wait multiple trips if it is being used by cleaning staff .

Really clean and staff is helpful

Only complaints that I have that the room could be updated a little bit. Hallways are very narrow and the elevator is very slow. Also the beds aren’t the most comfortable but other than that we really enjoyed our stay! We would definitely use this location again and would recommend it for any one looking for a stay here!

It was comfortable clean and very convenient for beach-going. Rooms are a little small but the studio suite was perfect for my friend and I and our young children.

several drawbacks at the meantime: small garage, small bedroom and bathroom, noisy at night, older utility will small defects. overall, mid level hotel in VB on the waterfront, worth the budget if you do not want to spend too much.

I like their suite layout. The sleeping room is as gar away from the boardwalk, makes for a more quiet time sleeping. The room was well cleaned, and the staff were friendly!

Here’s why I have this stay 5 stars: The staff was extremely friendly. The check in person was sweet and friendly. The housekeeper was very kind when we were a bit behind schedule getting out of our room, and the check out person was also very friendly and helpful. The room was not glamorous, but everything worked and everything was clean. The bedroom in the back room had good mattresses, all the bedding for the pullout sofa. Plenty of clean dishware, towels, and capable A/C. The view of the beach was fantastic- probably nothing different than any other of the hotels there, but nice to open the big curtains and get the morning sun. Free parking is super convenient considering we were on the boardwalk. Lastly, the secure beach access made getting to the water and boardwalk super pleasant. If I had to complain? Maybe the 1 elevator was slow and overbooked because it seemed like it was the service elevator too. The ceilings are low and the hallway around the front desk/ elevator was kind of tight. I’m really reaching here though. I’d stay here again for sure.
