    Convenient location, but property dated and in need of some attention. Saturday night was noisy and a little uncomfortable for a family with partiers in hallway in early morning hours. Highlight was a terrific restaurant staff who were attentive and especially gracious with our family.

    It was close to the beach and a lot of things to do within the area. Our neighbor opened one of the middle doors that would connect the rooms and banged on our door because I laughed too loud.

    Bed was comfortable, shower was nice, wasnt a fan of the smell of the body wash and shampoo, had my own tho, the hallway didnt smell the best and my door didnt close all the way, had to pull it shut, was found open a few xs left by my kids. My biggest issue was parking, we have a conversion van that would only fit in a few spots in the garage which was full upon arrival, they had us park in the handicap spot overnight and recommended we pay to park it somewhere daily if there was nothing in the garage. Luckily day 2 there were spots but we couldnt drive anywhere not knowing thst we'd ha e parking when we got back. It was clean and would stay again even tho we had these few issues

    The beds were very comfortable and the shower was amazing! Of course the view is the ocean was beautiful. The only downside is that the walls are a little thin. But I got great rest and truly enjoyed my stay. Will be coming back!

    Staff was friendly and the room was clean and the views were amazing I didn’t like the 250 hold on my account for “damages” just in case which is understandable but also I don’t feel like it’s necessary and the parking fee is inconvenient since I’m already paying for a room there.

    The room was booked for four people, but they only provided towels for one. Check-in was smooth, but everything went downhill after that. After a long day at work, I was looking forward to dinner and a glass of wine. Unfortunately, the restaurant didn’t have any wine bottles available, and when I asked for a glass, I was given one that was extremely dirty—with food still stuck inside. Completely unacceptable. The next morning was just as frustrating. I went down for breakfast, and although there was a sign saying “please wait to be seated,” no staff was present. I waited for quite a while and no one showed up, so I sat down since it was a buffet. Shortly after, a staff member approached me and insisted I should have waited, which led to an argument. I went to the front to address the issue, but the staff member continued with a rude attitude. At that point, I was so upset I didn’t even eat. Overall, very poor service and a disappointing experience from start to finish. I would not stay here again.

    Check in was a smooth process. Parking available by using your room key for parking garage access. There is construction across the street so I wasn’t able to sleep in like I wanted to & no other accommodation given. To extend a stay there’s no type of discount it was full market rate.

    My original room was super hot! The elevator kept breaking down. At one point we entered a broken elevator without a sign informing us it was broken. After my room was traded I did have a better view and the air worked but it was hard to maneuver around with only one working elevator causing it to be crowded and congested and extending the wait time.

    The part of the building I was in had a bit of a noisy environmental air system near my room but luckily the ocean was stirred up by an incoming storm, so during the evening, the more soothing sound of crashing waves dominated the ambient nighttime noise.

    Waitress left early from restaurant and we weren’t able to have dinner. Bar closed early. Bathroom door hit toilet so we had to turn sideways to slide in. The mattress had huge indent. Breakfast was sub par and barista service was advertised for coffee in the morning and that was not available

    When I purchased this room, it included Breakfast for 2. Upon checkout, the clerk advised that I, in fact did not purchase the breakfast for 2 voucher and would be charged for the breakfast. I checked the receipt several times and even on the day we ate the breakfast and it was still there. But at checkout it was not. Don’t know who’s to blame for it. Just know it’s not me. I paid what was asked and did not receive what was paid for. Very disappointed with this transaction.

    The location worked well for us. The location of the room was nice, quiet and near end of hall. Room was clean. Bed was comfy. There was little to no hot water. The sink was clogged and backed up. I broke/fractured a toe on the wrought iron legs of the desk chair. Many other hotels offer a free breakfast. Bathroom was tiny and poorly lit.

    The water pressure in the shower was great. The edges inside the pool were very dirty. You could hardly read the numbers that let you know how deep the water was in that area. Also, the rest room by the pool the door lock was broken and could not be used. Had to go upstairs through the lobby to use a rest room. Asked for towels and waited over an hour before I went down and go them myself. Room cleaning service came late in the at each day around 7:00pm.

    The restaurant needs work. We ordered some food that took kinda long to come out, and when we asked for utensils, I guess Monique forgot, so we had to ask the bartender for utensils. Nonetheless, the food was really good; however, the service was lacking, which made the experience not as good as it could’ve been.

    The room was fairly nice and large, and the hotel was in an excellent location. The bathroom was very small, could not fit two people comfortably. The elevators were EXTREMELY slow, to the point I opted to walk up eleven flights of steps instead of waiting any more. The elevators were a major issue during our stay.

    The view and location of the hotel was excellent. It was easy to locate and within walking distance to many different shops and restaurants. The room was dirty, the beds and pillows were hard and uncomfortable. There are 10 floors in the building yet they only have two elevators. This morning while checking out, only one of those elevators was working. There was also no signs or notifications of this problem. We had to walk down the stairs with all of our luggage after waiting over 10 minutes and finally someone who got off notified us that only one of the elevators was working.

The front desk was never available to answer the phone and often was not even at the front desk. The toilet backed up and the shower head broke so that the water would not stop running, leaving us to have to switch rooms mid stay. I get that we were there off season but I think if things or at are not available it should be disclosed before booking.

    The staff, primarily Hannah, was so welcoming and inviting. However, the room was not what I was expecting. It was very underwhelming. It took forever for the water in the shower to get hot. It was not until the last morning that I actually got a hot shower. Also, the areas with the bathroom and the small kitchen/dining room never would get warm. It stayed pretty chilly in both areas so it felt like I could only enjoy the bedroom. Both of these were addressed with the front desk, but I never heard anything else about it. The view from the balcony and the bed itself was about the only two things that the room had going for it. All in all, it was an okay experience. Definitely not my favorite experience.

And last but not least, there was a dead roach in the bathroom. I made a complaint to Marriott and waiting on a response.

    Check-in was easy and the front desk staff were friendly and helpful. However, the room was extremely stuffy — it felt almost suffocating. It was genuinely hard to breathe, and I suspect old carpet had a lot to do with it. The air felt stale and trapped, even the AC on. On top of that, the room and overall hotel are quite dated, with several fixtures either broken or hanging by a thread. Probably will not be back.

    Based on the average cost per room, the hotel should provide free parking. The cost of parking was extremely high per day. Also, had to park across the street from the hotel.

    perffect in every way but......2 of the 4 elevators out of service. Wife disabled and had to go from 1 elevator to another to reach the pool. One night the other stopped. We were stuck on the sixth floor for 40 minutes. Could not take stairs due to disabled wife. When a meeting was on.......you can guess how long it took to get on. Everybody was complaining. ( the sixth floor was our room)

    Pool was dirty & gross every day - never got cleaned in my 4 day stay. Limited down to 1 elevator on day one. Parking is in garage across the busy street $25 per day. Large room but tiny mini fridge. Weather storm knocked out the cable for hours - no tv to watch. Desk area w extra outlets was nice. Shower was GREAT!-regular wall spout above & in addition the wall hose handle with extra water. Although not a lot of space in bathroom to change, maneuver etc (trying to do my daughter’s hair in mirror we were limited in space). Not a single trash bin in room had a liner in it. Breakfast add on was over $80 PER DAY for 2 people .. everything seemed like an average room/stay but was charged an expensive rate -paid over $1400 for less than handful of nights. Mediocre amenities at such a high cost.

    My hotel stay during Labor Day weekend at the Sheraton was enjoyable, and I would choose this hotel again. This is a quiet, beachfront property with great ocean views. My room was quite large with a small balcony facing the ocean. Clean, peaceful, and comfortable. The hotel facilities and my room were clean except at the restaurant, where on Sunday it smelled like raw eggs, and this was hours after the end of breakfast, and the smell remained for the rest of the day. I stayed for two nights, and it only happened once, so I am guessing the cleaning crew either forgot to take out the trash or didn't clean well after breakfast, but the smell was gross. On top of that, the temperature in the lobby and restaurant was unbearably cold. The outside temperature this weekend was mid-to high 70s at the beach, warm during the day, yet no one adjusted the inside temperature. The lobby /restaurant area, I'm guessing, was set to 50. There's a bar in the restaurant, but I and no one else could enjoy it because it was freezing in there.

    I like the front desk staff, they were very helpful when i did not like my room. I did not like the attitude of the resturant greeter who gave an attitude when asked about coffee. I did not like that there was no shower mat in the bathroom on the first night. I did not like that there was a dried blood stain on the pillow case. Also the elevators are too small.

    The property was very walkable to restaurants, stores the board walk and beach. The staff was very friendly and the excellent customer service. My room was okay. The bed was very comfortable, but the bathroom needs better ventilation and the soap dish was cracked, the toilet paper holder was lose, so the toilet paper wouldn’t stay on it and I couldn’t not open the safe my entire stay, which I couldn’t lock up my purse to go swimming. Overall, I would rate my stay a 3.5.

    The location and ocean view from our room were excellent. However the room was very small and the walls so thin that we were able to hear our neighbor's television at night. The hotel in general is in dire need of an upgrade. Our closet door continually fell of its roller hinges; the bathroom door did not close tightly, etc. The carpeting throughout was very worn, the outdoor furniture filthy and overall condition poor. I would not recommend this property too others in its present condition.

    Great place for our first visit to Virginia Beach. Great location for walking to shops and beach or along the promenade. More expensive than our usual hotels, but the suite was roomy and had a balcony with a great view. Lots of little issues with the room like a light out and a missing bar on the mini fridge door, but staff fixed things quickly. The pull-out sofa was in pretty bad shape though. Right across the street from the infamous Pocahontas Pancake House, which is great since breakfast is not included in the price. Parking is right across the street in a garage; use room key to enter and exit. They let you use the parking garage until 4 pm, even after checking out, which is super convenient. Would stay again.

Thankfully another guest redirected us and said they’d experienced the same issue with no sign earlier in the week.having a cart full of items and needing to get down to the lower level, you’d expect this to be clear and front desk staff to advise. Arriving in the room we found ourselves to be directly poolside, no beach view as we’d booked. Each morning between 7:30-8:30 we were awoken by guests enjoying the pool however, personally we were not ready to rise and unable to continue our sleep. The internet on the floor was severely spotty as well, the least of our concerns but overall another reason for a less than stellar stay. Especially considering we indicated the issues to the front desk and were told we could be downgraded to resolve “our issues” I’m not even sure what more could’ve been taken from our trip but hey, guess the offer was there.

    We traveled over 900miles for a family reunion and upon arrival we noticed the hotel was down one elevator. There were over 300 family members staying there and after the last elevator went down we resulted to having to climb up and down multiple flights of stairs daily.

    My stay at the Sheraton was a good stay we enjoyed ourselves service was good (customer Service,Restaurant service,room service, the Customer Service at the bar) was great.The only issue that we had was the elevator’s being out of order, being on the ninth floor or eighth floor and having to take the steps up and down was terrible. It’s been a few years since we stayed at the Sheraton the last time we were there there was an outside pool and they have remodeled and get rid of that so that was a little disappointing as well. The outside pool wasn’t too pleasant because you have children coming from the beach with their toys, full of sand and they’re washing them down in the pool so that kept my children from swimming or really wanting to be around the pool.That’s truly the only negative thing that I have to say about the Sheraton. Hopefully if we decide to visit Virginia Beach again, the elevators will be in perfect condition.

    What was right: I liked the oak scented shampoo and lotion in the bathroom. The dining room and poolside bar staff were excellent The selection was small, but the food was good. What was wrong: Only 1 of 3 elevators in the main hotel was operational for 3 1/2 of my 5 day stay and the one had to be shared between GUESTS AND STAFF!! I once shared a ride with attendants, vacuums, and a laundry bin! My upstairs neighbor smoked weed EVERY MORNING AND EVENING despite my complaint to the front desk. They had KIDS!! They shut ALL elevators down Wed. evening during DINNERTIME for repairs! I had to walk up FIVE FLIGHTS OF STAIRS and skipped dinner out of frustration and exhaustion. I managed, but shameful that our elders had to endure that! My ups Chipped soapdish and missing section of the baseboard. (May seem petty, but when you pay $250/night for an oceanfront room, I expect a little better.) Overflowing trash at 7am at the coffee station Disgusting pool with no regular maintenance (sand & cigarette butts) in the middle of the day. Homeless people sleeping on the sofas in the cabanas during the day

    Well the only thing was the view of the ocean besides that customer service was pleasant but really wasn’t the room was clean. Need to check the outlets in the rooms because one of them is broken. Had to pay for parking $26 a night so make sure you read everything about the property breakfast was only included. If you sat at the restaurant, you couldn’t take it up. They charge me for it other than that the view was beautiful the very clean in there, but the staff wasn’t friendly.

    The hotel location was perfect; right on the ocean and parking was located very close to hotel. Parking garage allowed super easy in-and-out access. Room was clean and bed was comfortable. Room was quiet for the most part, except for hearing a dog barking late at night one night of our stay. The bathroom was a bit small and needed some minor repairs. I can’t say enough good things about the staff. Super friendly. Juan, the bartender at the hotel restaurant, Solete, was very hospitable and attentive even when it got really busy. The pool was way too cold for us to enjoy, even during the day which was kind of disappointing. All in all, we had a great experience. Highly recommend staying here.

    For this price, I expected a premium, hassle-free experience. Instead, I received conditions that would be unacceptable even at a budget motel. The lack of cleanliness, broken bathroom facilities, and missing essentials show a complete disregard for guest comfort and satisfaction. This was not a minor inconvenience — it was a complete failure to deliver what was promised and what I paid for. I am requesting a full refund immediately. If management values its reputation and future business, I expect this matter to be resolved without delay. I will be escalating this review publicly and through the appropriate channels if no resolution is offered promptly.

    The hotel has two elevators, but only one was working during a busy weekend which made wait times frustrating. Additionally, my room was skipped during cleaning on one of the days. I had to call five times and only received housekeeping at 8 p.m. the following day. Disappointing service overall.

    Both elevators were out of service and I am not in condition to climb 9 flights of stairs twice a day. Eventually they managed to fix one but wait time was long. That being said I want to highlight the exceptional service we received from Mason (unfortunately I didn’t catch his last name) He went above and beyond to make sure we have water and towels, even personally delivering them to our room. His professionalism and kindness made a big difference during our bumpy stay.

    I like the bartender in main floor night shift.. waitess allie and kayla. And the front desk staff very nice and helpful.. house keepeing is horrible didnt have enough towels to wash with for the stay had to request towels the next morning housekeeping nwver came unyil i made a fuss at 4pm.or floor mat. Water everywhere in the bathroom. Elevator was broken i was on the 10th floor. Horrible

    to start off the room was ready till after 7 due to only 1 elevator working the other elevator was broke so housekeeping was slow cleaning the room , second the pool was dirty filled with sand needs better cleaning , the bar by the pool is completely closed , the was given aways free parking pass and free breakfast buffets for the inconvenience, and my room they finally check me in and the sofa bed was broke the main reason i booked it so i had the transfer room with 1 working evelator 😡

    I’ve probably never had a worse hotel experience. Me, my wife, and two friends stayed here for my birthday. We didn’t realize the $25/day parking is across the street but okay nbd. Then we get to our room - NO towels, no pillows or sheets for the sofa bed (which was visibly bent almost into a V shape - the 2nd night we put the mattress on the floor), the phone did not work, the thermostat fell off the wall, and we found out our fridge did not work. It took all day untill past 11 to get sheets & 3 towels (for 4 guests for 2 days !!!!!!!! at the beach !!!! ) and even then they couldnt fix the fridge. The front desk lady was extremely rude. The only kind employee there was the technician who came to look at the fridge. He was only able to replace it with one that took up half the front door way to the bathroom hallway. He said they could fix it the next day but being my birthday i didnt want to deal with MAINTENANCE so I said no and we dealt with a fridge in the way the whole time. Our decision to not have the entire shelving remodeled during our stay but also - why on earth….. Will never stay here again!

    Hotel really good but we didn't get checked in Expedia and didn't show up so I need to put the speed or give me my money back or give me a call back 618-558-2251. I need my money back I came and checked in. It's not showing the here I booked that in the morning, but it's not showing when I 3 o'clock they reject in and then not showing the reservation at the hotel. I don't know what's wrong with the Expedia.

    We had a great stay, the clerk who checked us in was very efficient and personable. The only thing is that there were only 2 elevators and 1 broke down, thus making delays at peak hours. Additionally, parking was a separate bill and unexpected expense. Overall it was a friendly and good family environment.

    The bed, view, tsize of the rm all very nice. The microwave & the mini fridge are great to have. The 2 women at the front desk on check in were very friendly. Access to the beach & the view are just fantastic. Not a bad little fitness room either. AC worked fine. The property is in sore need of TLC. In room 607 there were very obvious previous reno/demo marks from something being removed where the mini fridge was, no attempt to cover with sheet rock, repair, etc. A lot of stains on the bathroom ceiling especially, looked like smushed bugs (if you open the balcony door, they will come in quickly, that’s just their nature, not the hotel’s fault). The photo hanging above the toilet was crooked, tried to adjust it, it came completely off the wall because one screw mount was only into the dry wall without an anchor piece. On the balcony the balusters are made of pvc pipe. Not every sturdy and a few not well attached to the main top rail or support posts. Little details like decaf coffee pod not being replenished, nor dirty water glasses (it was obvious, we used them for margaritas I made & they had a salt/tajin rim) replaced. Only 2 elevators, one of which while headed down to the lobby from room stopped very abruptly at 4 and stayed there for 15 seconds and didn’t open. Thought we were stuck. Started back up but went to basement then back up to lobby. On the last day, sadly, at the 6th floor ice machine, noticed a cockroach. Took off when I got close. Picture included.

    Hotel is situated near the Neptune Park, about 5 minutes walk.. Its oceanfront, view of sunrise & sunset is beautiful/ perfect.. The only issue during our stay was : During our check- out there was only 1 elevator functioning, it was a long wait for elevator to come up & down the floors..

    I reserved a pool view room with a balcony to celebrate my daughter’s 21st birthday. When I arrived they only had one room .. the cabana room on the beach and pool level. I wasn’t sure if I would like it. But let me tell you. It was by far the best room I’ve had in Va beach. The room had everything. Kitchen couch double beds. We could go to the pool or beach right from our room. The staff was on point .. all of my concerns and requests were handled expeditiously.. I will definitely be going back. Loved loved loved our stay. My daughter and her besties had the best time. If I could give it 6 stars. I would 😉

    We were not given the room that we paid for. We reserve two rooms and only one was what we reserved. They attempted to put us in a much smaller room that was outside a very busy area. When we let them know, this was not acceptable. They told us that they were overbooked and did not have the room that we paid for available. The staff act as if we were very big hassle. They did not make any attempt to make this right as far as compensating us for having a lower valued room. The room we were given overlooked an air condition The room we were given overlooked an air conditioning unit and the roof surrounding it was littered with trash that was either left there by maintenance workers or was thrown there from higher level rooms. Several of the amenities did not work. It was over 100° out that day and the ice machine was broken. There was also trash lying around the hotel in many different places. The hotel was very busy and the elevators were not adequate to handle the traffic. We also were not informed through the listing on the website that the parking was across the street from the facility and that was incredibly inconvenient. There were several events going on which made it next to impossible to drive to the front door and we were forced to walk back-and-forth across the streetwith our possessions. The shampoo and soap, etc. in the room was empty. Overall, the state was very, very poor and unacceptable. I would not recommend this.

    Located at the heart of boardwalk, the hotel has an impressive view where guests can see dolphins traveling to warmer waters. Excellent staff who goes above and beyond to accommodate guests, will certainly stay there again!

    We stayed with you from 6/19-6/23. It was terrible. 1st. Check in was supposed to be at 4 pm. We got there at 4 and we had to wait until 4:45 because our room wasn't ready, while other guests that checked in with us got their rooms. They didnt even offer to take our bags so we could go to the beach or something. 2. Once we got our rooms, we found out it was still dirty. Plugging a charger in by the right night stand, there was a bunch of dirty candy on the floor by the night stand. That could bring bugs and what not. 3. Air conditioner was broken. It only pumped out 1 temperature, freezing cold. 4. Carpets were ripped in places. 5. We found blood on the duvet cover. 6. On top of all of this, our second and third nights, there were parties in the room next to us. A bunch of men being loud, yelling, banging, playing loud music until 3am. We called the front desk, they said they'll send someone up to talk to them and they never did. My wife is pregnant and couldn't get to sleep because of this. 7. House keeping never gave us new towels in the morning, despite us putting them on the floor. They only made the bed and left. Didn't replace the blood stained duvet. Nothing. It is disgusting to have to sleep with someone else's blood on a comforter. 8. Apparently. Every room has recently been renovated. Maybe, but the bathroom had peeling drywall tape, water stains in the ceiling, and dim lighting. We felt like we were in old dirty motel. I use to stay at this h

    Room was clean. Bathroom had a random shelf unattached in the shower. Doorstop at bottom was removed but screw still stuck out. Painting of the bathroom door was marginal, had missed spots. Deflector for the air conditioner please! Whomever is next to that freezes because the fan blows right on the neck and face. If you turn the thermostat up everyone else suffers. Pool was always out of towels, and not very clean. People were allowed to bring personal speakers, trying to drown out each other. Kinda kills the chill. Try headphones. Oceanview from the room was beautiful.

    The stay started off good until we went to take a shower and realized we had no cold water, so it was a choice between taking a scorching hot shower or not showering at all. One of the people staying in the hotel room, spoke to the front desk about sending someone to look at it, the front desk attendant seemed very dismissive but ultimately instructed us that they would send someone to fix it, however they never did and the issue was never fixed. When we were checking out the next day, we spoke to the same front desk attendant and she once again dismissed us. I would not recommend this hotel based of the lack of costumer service.

    The bad-this hotel is not prepared for bookings at capacity. Check in was at 4, we walked in and there were over 20 guests waiting to check in and those who had attempted were waiting in lobby for rooms. Rooms had not been turned over and were not available. By 6:00 we had a room. Walked in, dirty towels in bathroom and shower had been given barely a once over. We stayed 3 nights our room was never cleaned, towels never replaced, and trash not out. On the 3rd night I went to desk and was told they would order towels for us but did not know when they would arrive. They told me when I asked if it is typical for rooms to be not cleaned, no but the hotel is full switching over every day and the priority is being given to new guests checking in. Main floor on pool level, hallway smells like dirty diapers 24/7. We will not stay at this property again.

    We reserved a room with a king sized bed overlooking the pool. We 2 beds and a view of the central heat and air system. When we went to the front desk with our reservation confirmation number we were told that it wasn’t their fault and we couldn’t change to another room unless housekeeping agreed to clean the room we were given. We thought we were getting a nice room in a nice professional hotel to celebrate our wedding anniversary. We are so disappointed. We will not stay there again.

    The room wasn't quite what we expected it was smaller than we thought the fridge was very tiny and it said it had a coffee we were under pressure and it was a coffee pot it was a very tiny little coffee maker and I thought that continental breakfast was included and then I received an update that it was $17, the pool was very small and connected to the Sheraton next to us not to our side.

    The pool wasn’t vacuumed out until the evening before we left. My hotel door was very hard to open. I had to push extremely hard to open it. I seen my door open a couple of times when I returned to my room. You could not use the pull out couch because the mattress was dirty and stained. I had to go by an air mattress for my son to sleep on.
