Best thing about this place is the view and the fact that it’s on the beach ! Filthy , toilets kept overflowing, flies in coffee maker and old coffee. Roach in bath tub , blood on duvet!!! Terrible! I’d never return!! I had to clean hot tub myself (which you should anyway) but it was obvious used recent even carried a smell . I’m trying to get refunded!!

The location and price were great. The beds were comfortable. The shower pressure was strong. The front desk staff were friendly and helpful. My only complaints were: the bathroom floor wasn’t clean; and the carpeting was damp due to humidity.

Easy parking and check in. Staff was really nice. Beautiful view and in great southern point of the boardwalk. Will definitely stay again!

Had a wonderful stay at your location

I had an excellent stay at this hotel. The parking was convenient, spacious, and easily accessible, which made my arrival and departure stress-free. The staff were professional, courteous, and always willing to assist with any request, ensuring a welcoming and comfortable experience throughout my stay. One of the highlights was the amazing beach view from the hotel, which provided a beautiful and relaxing backdrop from sunrise to sunset. It is an older hotel, reasonably priced, and location and staff were awesome. We flew in and they didnt have a place for us to store our luggage, so instead they let us check in right away because a room like ours was ready. They let us check in at 12pm versus 4pm. This way we didnt have to walk around with suitcases. They were very accommodating to us. We would stay there again.

Hot tub was amazing. Nice view but small balcony. Water pressure excellent. No breakfast but we didn't need it. Fullsize beds but my husband baby and I fit ok in bed while other 2 kids on another. Beds were comfy and AC worked great.

I really enjoyed my stay at Schooner my room was very clean and pretty, the shower had good water pressure, and the staff was very nice. I also think the prices are reasonable here compared to other hotels in that area.

I was so embarrassed when I got there. I had planned a birthday weekend for my Girl friend and the place was atrocious. The bed was sunken in and old and squeaky. It smelled badly. There were roaches in the bathroom. The door to the room was hard to open and shut. The only good thing about my experience was the view of the beach. I will never ever ever ever go back to that hotel again. I advised anyone that reads this to NOT GO HERE UNLESS YOU HAVE NO OTHER CHOICE.

We loved how we were able to walk right out to the beach from the suite. Loved how it wasn’t as busy as the other side of the pier. EVERYONE on the staff was so friendly and helpful. We definitely will be staying here again.

First I will say that the trip to Virginia beach alone was breathtaking!!!! The room I wound up getting was the icing on the cake. I guess I could of chose between 2 different floors that were available but the front desk gentleman suggested the room I stayed with. Perfect selection!!!!! As soon as I walked in the room it had a nice refreshing smell to it. I opened the curtain and balcony door and the ocean view was to die for! This was the best choice in hotel that I enjoyed. Gorgeous view! Steaming hot Jacuzzi! Excellent Customer service from everyone! Thanks to Alicia the housekeeper for the info! The only problem I had was the day before I was due to leave....a whole family took over the pool. I don't mind sharing a pool with anyone. The problem I had was they were blasting their music the whole 6 and 1/2 hrs they were down there. I live next to a audio place...I wanted to get away from the booming bass and just take in the ocean but they kinda ruined the pool experience. There was no relaxing that day. The hotel was great though and I plan on going back real soon. Great location and Great business.

It is good enough for the price

The staff was very kind and helpful. We had an experience last year with a smart Alec at the check-in desk, but we did not see him this year. We have stayed at this location many times and will continue to stay here. The location is mostly quiet or as quiet as can be on the oceanfront which is one of the reasons we stay at this location. Most restaurants we prefer are within a 15 minute drive and Waterman’s restaurant is only 2 blocks away, great walk on boardwalk. My only comment may be the suggestion of adding more handicap parking spots and enforce the rules on those who miss use them.

The stay was okay but the place desperately needs renovations done. The room door I could see through it. I put a chair at the door and put the broom handle at the lock. I was afraid someone might break in. The safe didn’t work either. The vent made noises all night but I was able to get through it somehow. It was cold and the heat did not work. Other than that, everything was ok. The good side was that it is in a very good spot away from the crowds. A lot to see on that side. The staff was especially nice, I appreciated that.

Ok. First things first. You cannot beat the price of this hotel. I got an ocean front suite for $130 ish. I mean open the back door and the beach is literally 30 feet away. Fantastic. The rooms were clean. They were dated a bit but very clean and comfortable. My unit had a stove, microwave, and pots, pans, plates, bowls, etc. Is it as nice as the $300-$400 a night rooms? No. The pool was outside and warm and not crowded. The hotel is located right by the jetty and Grommet Park so if you park age kids, it’s perfect. I have no complaints. I will stay here again in September. If you care about bougie hotels this is not for you. If you want somewhere clean, safe, and close to the beach without pay a few hundred a night, this is. The only downside is that food is further away than most hotels I have stayed at down there and there is no restaurant in the hotel. Also, there is no parking structure. It is a big parking lot which is good if you have a larger vehicle to park. Hope this helps.

Awesome staff great location

Didn't really expect much based on the price but boy was I wrong. Right off the boardwalk, plenty of parking and friendly front desk, It's definitely not a Hiatt but it has it's own pluses. The room was pretty spacious with 2 doubles, a coffee maker, stovetop, refridge with a top small freezer and microwave. It also had a table with 2 chairs to eat at and a balcony to sit out on with great afternoon sun if you get a room facing the pool, which by the way looked great!. What it lacked in luxury it more than made up in comfort and practicality. Wouldn't hesitate to stay again.

The location was perfect for the surf event that was taking place. The cost of the room made it affordable . There are so few locations on the oceanfront that still offer a kitchenette which helps tremendously with the overall cost of the trip. The fact that I couldn't stay longer due to the fact I had to get back home and back to work.

Homeless person camped outside the corner of the building had a make shift tent off the corner of the left side building and the shrubs on the path down to the beach!

We experienced an upstairs leak in our room. We were given a lame excuse as to why their was leak from maintenance and that there was nothing they could do to keep it from happening. We were moved to another room after the incident occurred twice within hours of each other. It was a bigger room with a bigger bathroom. We finished our vacation with no more problems. The front desk people were good... the maintenance staff is pretty much a joke. Great beach and boardwalk view. And free parking with many happy hour spots within walking distance.

Nice place and for the price, you can't beat it. Great views all around really. Staff was courteous and I was able to check in a bit early, which was quite helpful. It's quiet and on the end of the boardwalk, and near the inlet so you can watch boats, too. Surfers near there and overall best all around I think. Second time there.

We are so in love with the Schooner, Im so grateful I went with this place instead of a chain hotel. It’s old school Americana realness, we are booking our next stay asap. I will miss this place everyday, thank y’all so so much. 1000000/10

Parking area was a tight squeeze but the ocean was at your backdoor. The hotel didn't have heat because they said they turn it off this time of year and it happened to be 60 degrees there so it was very cold in our room.

Communication with the management was poor and unsatisfactory.

An older property, location for price is unbeatable. The AC struggles to keep the temperature desired, we wanted 72 and it finally reached it while we slept. The view is fabulous and easy access from Atlantic Avenue. Handy kitchenette if needed. All we needed was a place to sleep so it was perfect. Sure competition on the day we left, that was cool.

We love The Schooner Inn! It’s older, but very well maintained. The location is great, pool is wonderful, and rooms are huge with very comfortable beds. This part of the beach does seem to double as an event space (they were cleaning up from a monster truck event when we arrived), so I’d recommend looking into that before booking.

We were told we could see the beach from our room. The view was completely blocked. We were woke up early by the Monster trucks setting up for the show that night and they are loud. The jacuzzi in the room didn't have all the blowers working. Other than that it was a nice place.

The room will benefit for some cleaning (the sheet has some yellow discoloration and there's few spiders and fly) but it's not that bad to the point that you will regret booking the inn. Great customer service. The room was very clean. We slept very well. Our room was facing the parking lot. We had a balcony and were able to see each the inlet with boats coming in and out. Beautiful sunset we were able to see. The hotel is at the end of the boardwalk near the park.

Best oceanfront rooms

I was excited to stay here because the old reviews were good- I was quickly disappointed. The property is extremely dated, the lobby smells like an ashtray and the old furniture is filthy. The elevator is small and has a dirty wooden floor. Our room smelled like a Glade factory blew up in it. The smell is so powerful our clothes smelled like it when we got home. Our TV didn’t work and it took 2 hours for someone to come look at it. They smashed down on the top of it to get it going. They said if that didn’t work they didn’t know what to do because there was no replacement or extra. The room was superficially clean but the furniture was old, dinged and dirty. Hot water ran out Sunday morning and the toilet clogged twice. The kitchenette was a nice surprise and had things we needed but the fridge was dirty with rust all over the seals and 4 inches of ice in the small freeze compartment. The carpet is coming up so the bathroom door doesn’t shut all the way. The room had two charging stations for phones, but only one of them worked. With no breakfast and such a dated property the price is totally ridiculous.

This time, however, ocean view was obstructed by tractor trailers due to monster truck event right outside. So much for a quiet, peaceful weekend retreat! -- lesson learned: pay attention to any events booked at the 5th/6th street area during your stay.

This place was surprisingly lovely . Nice clean and comfy for a last minute place to catch some zs. My favorite was the clerk thay cashed me in at 2 am last night , after a long drive she was very sweet and a breath of fresh air , yes the hotel is outdated . Yes it’s a tad smaller than some may like . But they are putting in the work to keep it clean and safe and you can tell .

This is an older property that can definitely use some upgrades. We were booked into a 'pool view' room, and it was horrible. Overlooked a parking lot, and it was very small. However, the staff was wonderful when we asked to change rooms. After paying a little extra for the upgrade, our 'ocean view' room was great! Very spacious, and the view was awesome. The property is at the very end of the promenade, which is a bit quieter, but very easy access to the beach.

Balcony was a bit small and the people in the room next door were up yelling off the balcony at 7am, but the comfy bed made up for it! Parking is excellent, the location was absolutely perfect too and further away from lots of people but not too much of a walk to everything. Amazing fishing spots nearby as well. Only real negatives were the Toilet in our room had some flushing issues, and it’s honestly quicker to take the stairs up and down Bcz the elevator was a bit of a wait. 8/10 stay, also decent price, will book again!

It would have been nice if when we checked in we had been told that if we parked in the lot we would not be able to leave until 12 the next day due a race in the morning. It messed up our whole morning and reason for coming to Va Beach.

An older hotel for sure, but it was clean and smelled nice. All the linens smelled fresh and were super soft. Staff was super friendly and the location was pretty calm compared to further down the beach. The room was huge. My only issue was the bathroom. The toilet ran constantly, had to keep the door shut. Then when I went to take a shower, realized the toilet obviously leaks under the tank as there was standing water on the floor. When I took a shower I stayed ankle deep in water the entire duration of the shower, but the water pressure was great. The parking seemed ok when I got there, but I found it was quite terrible when it was time to leave. I have a mid size SUV and with the way the lines are drawn, the car that parked behind where I had parked was outside the line leaving me to make about a 15 point turn to get out leaving about an inch between me and that car.

Will be turning both locations that I stayed at for two nights to social services health department. Police is absolutely disgusting and it needs to be condemned.

The rooms are dated. There was a bad water leak from the ceiling in the bathroom. The next night there was a really bad water leak from this ceiling in the actual bedroom. Not a great experience at all.

This is an older hotel but more affordable when compared to other options on the walk. The room was awesome, espcially given the jacuzzi facing the walk. This was a great stay. I will book again.

And one of the jets in our hot tub was not operating. We will definitely be staying here again, though. 💙

The beds are comfortable, there are plenty of soft pillows, lots of towels, great water pressure, rooms are clean and smell great, small fridge and microwave work great. The only reason I gave 4 stars is because of the age of the facility, the need to slam your door to get it to catch, and some repairs that could be done outside the elevators as you go to your room. I personally love the old feel to this hotel. There is something about feeling like you are stepping back in time for me that makes a vacation more memorable. We will continue to come back here whenever we come to VA Beach!

The room was great, we had a 6th floor oceanfront efficiency suite. I am definitely going back again. Wifi great, views great, kitchenette had everything. I just wished it had another arm chair.

The Hot Tub Jets should be more powerful I sat in what was like warm bath water and barely no bubbles coming from the jets like it was not pushing no power to blow the water as it ahould have been but yea only issue the jets in the Hottub in room 623

My son & I had a phenomenal experience from the time we checked in until we checked out the staff was polite, friendly, and offered a ton of resources of things to do at the beach. If you’re looking for a hotel that has a bunch of amenities this one does not, but the rooms were wonderful and clean. And we were close to so many different things along the boardwalk. We definitely will return.

Everyone on the staff we encountered was very pleasant, and helpful. The beach view on the ocean side is perfect! We enjoyed our stay and we will stay again.

Very clean room, was surprised how very clean it was for an oceanfront inn. No complaints at all about the hotel itself. Loved the area because it had a sidewalk between the sand and hotels, and a yummy restaurant 3 doors down. Will definitely check for availability at this hotel next time we're going to the beach!!

For its age, a decent place to stay. I know it's the beach but our room floor was absolutely full of sand. Nothing that you couldn't take care of with a broom though. Overall a nice stay. Quiet and enjoyable. Be absolutely sure you have your parking decal displayed because you can bet the tow guy will be around at 7 AM to check the lot and he doesn't mind hooking up and hauling.

This hotel ruined our vacation it was a really bad choice that will never happen again they give us room in the back so no view i paid 114 a night wich means front view then there was no room service they was skipping our room when we asked them to clean the room they clean the bathroom only another thing there was a freaking construction in the parking wake me up early morning i thought it was fire alarm no breakfast no only two cart over there for the entire hotel i don’t know why they have 4.1 star

This was my second time staying at Schooner Inn. Both visits have been very good. The desk staff is always friendly and very welcoming. The rooms are in tip top shape and well supplied and maintained. Great location at the south end of boardwalk so easy access to Back Bay NWR. And close to my favorite breakfast spot the Sunnyside Inn. Enjoyed my stay!

The hotel in general wasn’t very clean. The balcony was so dirty that any time spent there without shoes resulted in filthy feet. The maid service missed three straight days in our room and explained that if we had the “do not disturb” sign out they would skip it. We NEVER had the sign out. Worst part was the three nights when the temperature dropped into the high 30s low 40s and the heat in the hotel wasn’t working at all. We were told the boss had left for the weekend and wouldn’t be back until Monday. It was restored Tuesday. We had to use towels to dampen the wind coming in from both the hall door and the balcony door which made the absence of heat almost unbearable. They did offer an extra blanket. There were toenail clippings on the balcony as well. Not the best experience.

There were only 2 minor drawbacks. The beds were not comfortable at all (to be fair they were in the process of bringing in new mattress, we know this for sure because we actually saw them throwing out old ones with lots of new ones that had just been delivered April 2026). We aren't sure if it was from age or use but just plain uncomfortable, they were also too small for my wife and I to sleep together, which was odd. Secondly, the whirlpool tub (which was soooooooo nice and relaxing) was just showing it's age. The jets were not powerful at all, but it still made an amazing soaking tub! These two tiny issues are definitely not enough to keep us away for another visit! While we were there we also saw, and commented to each other how nice it was seeing a hotel put money back into their property, there were brand new mattress, mini fridges and microwaves. Definitely book here if you are looking for somewhere to stay with an amazing view all day and night!!

This hotel is in a convenient location on the beach. The room was clean, the bed comfortable, and the staff friendly. Parking is sufficient. The one wrinkle is housekeeping. In the morning, I specifically requested that housekeeping make our beds and empty the trash. The staff responded that all rooms are done daily. When we returned in the evening, the beds were still unmade and the trash still full. The last guest’s used coffee bag was still in the coffee machine. That said, the property is well maintained and in other aspects, the room was clean.

This is a very nice and clean hotel with ample parking. It is older, but there was work being done outside. The hot tub was fun!

It was a nice place, however the wind was blowing through the edges of the door and sounded like a jet engine. Also I had to climb on the edge of the whirlpool tub to reach the wand that pulled the drapes closed. The tub was quite relaxing which I enjoyed.

We had a beautiful oceanfront room with gorgeous views and sea breeze. This hotel is at the beginning of the board walk. The hotel room was clean and smelled great.

Room was exactly as described and the whirlpool tub was a nice amenity. Being right on the ocean was a huge plus for us and convenient access to the boardwalk was great.

Great view of the beach, especially the sunrise; nice roomy balcony. Plenty of hot water for baths, and whole place was very clean, except for a few small stains on the corner of the bedspread. Well stocked. Was a bit taken-aback when l discovered the balcony door had been left unlocked upon our initial arrival, so glad l checked it before going to sleep. Can hear people talking in the room next to us, but fortunately they weren’t talking very loudly. Love the easy parking as well as easy access to both the beach and the playground right next to the hotel!

Location was great! Just an fyi. If you’re planning an overnight stay, be prepared to carry all of your luggage . No cart rentals until may . No way to explore the island . Would be a great idea if the house offered a bike rental or cart rental to guests.

I was poolside. The pool was closed sadly but that's fine. It's right on the beach which is great. There is a restaurant a couple blocks away and a substations of course. Parking was easy and on site. Ice machine wasn't working but that's not a big issue. Fridge and microwave in the room. Comfortable beds. All you can ask and great for the rate though that may have been just because it was off season.

Great view or the ocean and easy access to the beach. There was plenty of parking as well. Although the rooms were comfortable and clean, the walls between adjoining rooms can be rather thin. No fault of the staff- who were great by the way, but our neighbor next door loves to party until 3 in the morning. Having ear plugs would help greatly.

The jets in the hot tub did not have much pressure to them.

Parking was so small. I gave it a poor stay because we didn't get any sleep with the loud music and screaming people. We called more than 3 times about the noise and nothing was ever done. We didn't even get to use the pool as planned because they said it was being cleaned.

Great hotel

Staff was exceptional. Room spotless, but the thermostat didn’t work. It was 77 degrees in the room, the up/down arrows didn’t work. The only options were heat, air conditioning or off. It was late when we arrived, so we just turned off the heat & opened the balcony door. Also, none (not even on floor 2) were the ice machines working. We were told it was from busted pipes.

The room smelled strongly of cleaning fluids which made it unpleasant and difficult to breathe for the entirety of my stay! The place and the furnishings in the inn and the room were run down and less than uplifting. The wifi was out for 2/3 of my stay with no one able to do anything about it until the last day. Very disappointing. However, the staff was nice.

So it was 80 degrees in our room. Tried to turn the air on and it was blowing out hot. So I called the front desk and told them what was happening and they said they would send maintenance up. An hour passed, we are in our room sweating and nobody ever came. So we went to the front desk and THAT'S when they informed us that if we try to turn the air on between those months, it will blow out like you turned the heat on. I said oh okay so they couldn't tell us that when we checked in. Or when I called AN HOUR AGO and explained exactly what was happening and you guys didn't tell us to turn the air off. Didn't tell us there was no air. Just said you would send maintenance that never came. He said in order to keep the room cool during those months when it's hot outside, you have to keep the doors open. I know you don't think I'm leaving the front door of our room open for a cross breeze while we are sleeping. Left the balcony door open so we didn't bake ourselves but got very minimal sleep because of all the noise. Also, got a room with a tub and half the jets didn't work.

this water starts pouring onto our balcony soaking out belongings we had on the balfony. when we screamed upstairs no one answered and then it happened again. the cleaning people apologized but why would you just poir your dirty mop water over a balcony when people are staying there. very unfriendly staff, we will not be coming back. we thought we would come every year for my husbands birthday but this experience was horrible.

An excellent stay and a real nice place to wake up each morning with the ocean and beach along with the sunrise right there to enjoy as you start your day. Clean and quiet with convience to many activities and food choices.

We had no hot water in the shower. Let staff know, they came in and said the would be right back to fix. Never returned.

We got there at 6 o'clock and went straight to our room. Turned on the heat and the heat was at 65 and it raised 268 in 6 hours. We said it in 72 and it never got there. So 5:00 after we got there, I went down to the front desk, and the guy that was working, said that the maintenance man would be right down. And to go back to my room so I went back to my room. And I waited, and I waited for an hour. This man never showed up. So I called down to the front desk, and they said, oh, he went home. He must have forgot. He'll come in first thing in and I said, well, can you at least bring us some blankets? And maybe say eater, if you have one. So they brought us 2 blankets and a heater. The heater helped a little bit, but it was still really good. The next morning, the maintenance man came in, and he looked at the vents. He had this gun that told him how much the temperature was that's coming out of the vent. And they all read between 75 and 80 and the 80 was not long. So none of the air was blowing through. He said he would have to get a company to come in and cleanup events and that they weren't going to do that with somebody in the room. And that the manager of the grounds would do it at all. So he told us, oh, it'll go up today because it'll be a warm day but at night it was still cold. The girl at the front desk, the next morning was very rude, and the TV in the bedroom did not work. They had put it in there, and never set it up. And there was a huge gap between the floor and o

Schooner Inn was the perfect location for me. The traffic to the Holiday Lights didn't cause any delay for me to get in. The staff was courteous and helpful. The room was clean and stocked well. It was nice to have real cups for my morning coffee & dishes & flatware.

I finally got to stay here for a night in the off season. I now know why I’ve never been able to book during the busy season lol! The location great, price great, staff friendly, beds comfy, looked newly painted, has a small kitchenette which is great. I don’t have anything negative to say and if I ever plan a trip far enough in advance to book in the summer, I will!

Staff was great, as were the beds, furnishings, and view of the ocean! Free on-site parking was a big plus. We self-cater our trips so kitchenette features are important. In this room, the mini fridge froze some of our veggies, and the cookware was all teflon (health hazard). This is a fairly old hotel, so not as lovely as pricier options, but it worked well for what we needed.

Best water pressure in the showers anywhere. Clean rooms and a great view. One word of caution. Pool view means opposite side of the hotel, not facing the beach. Be warned. It is a westward view with a gorgeous sunset over Va Beach and fighter jet takeoffs.

Room was clean but floors felt really sandy the entire time. Walls were very thin and could hear our neighbors around 3 am engaging in activities. Did not like the fact that the control for cooling was deactivated as room was very warm.

Our phone didn’t work in the room and we had to call the front desk for a plumber. Our toilet over flower and wouldn’t go down. Had to call twice in order to get someone to come work on the toilet.

It was a good stay. Some things in the room need improvement. We had a door next to ours that led to another room and we could here them some. There was no plundger in the bathroom.

Phone did not work and tv had no signal. Tv was 20 years old and was 26 " small tv. Safe was broken and in pieces and was not usable. Trim on floor was loose and I tripped over it when I walked in. It was a 6ft section that covered where the tile met the wood floor. Staff was nice and did their best to be helpful. They came and fixed the phone and the tv issue.

Honestly, this was one of the worst hotel stays I’ve had. The room door was broken when I arrived, which didn’t feel safe at all. When I checked the pillows, it was obvious they’d just been flipped over instead of the pillowcases being changed — there was hair and dirt on them. The bed sheets had burn holes and were really dirty, and even after asking for replacements, the two extra sets I got were also stained. On top of that, the room had terrible ventilation, so it stayed stuffy the whole time. Definitely not worth the money — the place really needs better cleaning and maintenance.

We enjoyed the beach and the view. Good location away from the crowded areas. Hot tub room was nice. We had to call maintenance because the jets were screwed in very tight, but it worked afterwards. I wish the tub got hotter but it only was warm. No breakfast, electric car charging was a great addition.

The room was OK. The fact that they were open hallways and it was raining, the hallways were wet. The rules for parking were not described when looking into the schooner inn. The night we checked in we were told we had to walk seven blocks in the dark in the rain. Since we had two cars, this did not work for us. We stayed only one night and left.. Would not recommend this facility to anyone.

The room was clean and had great amenities. However it could have used power access for electronics. It was also lacking a soap dish and safety bars in the tub/shower. I was not asked when I made the reservation if I needed accommodations for this. If my wife had been with me I would have needed some kind of accommodations for her to shower. All said it was a great stay for me.

I am 76 years old and you need to put place mats in the showers and tubs or some kind of non-slip surface so people my age with not good balance won't slip and fall. Once soap is on the surface of the tub it becomes very slippery. You also need grabs so older people can grasp in the shower and tub and bars to help us get on and off the toilet .

We were there briefly for a concert. Walked on the boardwalk just outside the hotel early in the morning. Very nice.

Our room eas clean and orderly It had a wonderful beach view. I am not sure about prime season time but when we were there in the off season it was quiet with not a lot of foot traffic. We will come back.

The room we stayed in was not in the best condition. The paint job was horrible, the room wasn’t cleaned well found marks on the wall in the bathroom, there was also dust build up in the bathroom vent. I was nervous some of it would fall on me while I was using the bathroom. There were also some black marks on the bedding.

Is it outdated? Yes, very. There are simple improvements that could be made such as replacing ripped or dingy shower curtains, updating lighting fixtures, and replacing mattresses that dip toward the middle. The bathroom lights would not always fully turn on so the room stayed dim. The TV is small and only one of the two beds really had a clear view of it. Is it noisy? Not any more than any other hotel. Most of the noise came from fellow patrons being inconsiderate. For the love of God, guide your door closed and do not let it swing shut so hard that it wakes everyone around you. Lots of road noise from motorcycl

It's not an upscale property, but it's really great for the price you pay. I had problems with the AC which they fixed immediately.

A good clean, comfortable room.

Our stay lasted less than 3 hrs. Beds weren’t comfortable.. I can live with that. The guest in the adjoining room as smoking cigarettes in their room. It quickly engulfed our room- despite putting towels on the floor to try to block it from coming in. I’m allergic to the smoke and called the front desk to notify them and told them our room now smells so bad it’s unbearable. I heard maintenance come down the hall for less than two minutes and then left again. I called yet again, ans nobody came to our room to check on us and our room, and they told me the guest said they weren’t smoking in the room. I stated that was an absolute lie and what are we supposed to do now, as I know have a migrane, eyes burning, throat irritation, and a child with me also dealing with it. Their fix… a smoke clearing machine! No offer to change rooms or anything. My daughter and I had to leave, we had no choice. Waste of money and we drove another 3 hr drive home at 9:30 at night. I went to the front desk to complain about their lack of trying to accommodate us and assist us in this mess and their excuse was “we were busy”. Highly do not recommend.

Great view, clean room and walking distance to shopping and great restaurants!

Our room was not beachside.

The view is excellent. The shower doesn’t drain well, cooktop isn’t that hot, bed is hard etc. There is parking for guests.

Parking is right at the hotel. No off-site parking. Staff is always friendly. Room was absolutely fantastic, clean and well taken care of.

We are right next to the boardwalk and beach. Parking was there on site. Open the curtains in the room, view of the beach. Rooms are clean and the beds are comfortable. We had room with a small kitchen with plates, glasses, silverware and cooking stovetop.

For the price; the unit was fantastic! You do get a lot of noise from other units. It was nice to have the kitchenette. Wifi was good!

View was amazing. The only thing i didnt care for was the noise from the rooms on each side was loud And as for the no smoking policy in the rooms or balcony if it does happen as it did for us on the one side the pot smell was absolutely disgusting. It was like it came thru the wall or vent or something. And them we couldnt enjoy the balcony which we paid more for cuz the people was out there smoking pot and coughing up a lung each time they took a puff of it.. very aggravating

Great location. Fantastic view of the beach from the room. Fast and easy access to the beach and walkway. Friendly staff and clean room. Hotel is dated and I could hear TV sounds from the adjoining room. Large, safe, onsite parking lot. Overall excellent experience.

The jacuzzi in our room didn't work

No frills but clean and quiet.

The hotel was nice, everyone was kind. I understand that it’s not summer time but we didn’t have AC in our room bc they have it off for the “winter” months. It was quite warm in the room, even with it being cooler outside. The pool was supposed to be open, but due to it being too windy it was kept closed due to not being able to rest properly which kind of sucked since it was a heated pool. Other than that, it was a nice place to stay and everyone was very nice.

Great relaxing experience

Clean room except in the bathroom behind the door. The floors which were tile needed to be mopped. The fridge was sketchy and the maintenance guy came up to check unit and said it was working, but it wasn’t. He fooled with it for a while and said he’d switch it out. About an hour after he left it kicked on and started to work. Good thing because he never came back.

The room was clean and comfortable and the staff is friendly and helpful. There is a great beach view and convenient parking. There are good restaurants for breakfast, lunch and, dinner within walking distance.

The hotel was right on the beach with a beautiful view of the water.

The property felt very dated and our Air Conditioner didn’t work. Maintenance tried to fix it but apparently, they just switched their system to heating (boiler I assume) and they were unable to get it to work.

I had an Oceanfront efficiency and it was nice. The property is older and they have done what they can do to upgrade but, there are still things that can improve. The jetted tub was clean, worked well and was very relaxing. I enjoyed the opportunity to eat in my room while looking at the ocean.

Enjoyed the room after a 6 hour drive.Traveling in the Fall is best if you are traveling with your significant other -rates are reasonable & traffic is smooth .

Oceanfront hotel at the end of the boardwalk. Great view with balcony, and a 4 minute walk to Waterman's, a favorite restaurant of ours. Very affordable hotel in off-season.

Loved the view! Nice to be at the end of the beach. Friendly staff. Clean. There was a funky smell in the elevator. The room was nice…there was a strip between the 2 types of flooring that was not covering the seam between the flooring but it didn’t affect our stay in anyway. Just a poor aesthetic.

Clean oceanfront hotel and friendly staff. Unfortunately our room door had issues staying shut, and the balcony door was hard to open. Maintenance tried to fix it but were not able to. I think they both need major repair. It was our anniversary trip and we ended up leaving 2 days early.

Nice large room. My only suggestion is that grab bars should be installed in shower for elderly guests. Other than that everything was wonderful

Hotels.com site had very positive reviews and they were right. The staff was wonderful and welcoming. The room was in tip top shape when I arrived. Everything that a good hotel room should have was there. And the room was thoroughly cleaned after my first night! When I stay for two nights at a hotel the room is often not cleaned after the first night. Great view and good location.

overall stay was nice but there was a few littles mishaps such as a broken light switch , no pressure in bathroom sink and shower hardly got warm

Ocean view and it was stocked what you needed.

Always interesting at the Schooner Inn. Best prices on the ocean but not the fanciest. Plain and simple is what you get. Great location near Rudee Inlet provides entertainment all hours of the day. If the weather is bad, you can sit inside and watch the waves crash and surfers too. I think it may be time to replace the mattresses again.

The hotel staff was great! I had the ocean front view and kitchenette. The hotel is nice overall but could use some renovations. My room also had a weird smell coming from HVAC so I had to keep the balcony door open for fresh air. I also found some small ants scavenging for food here and there around the room.
