When we first entered our room the smell of cigarettes was absolutely terrible, as well as while I was trying to unpack my luggage I stepped on a live cockroach crawling around the carpet in the room, disgusting! Then when I went downstairs to change rooms when we got to our second room the door was already cracked open and it looked like someone had previously busted down the door and they “fixed” it with a piece of wood and the door had a gap in it when you closed it! At least the ac was working okay in the second room because the first room only blew out hot air. Absolutely would not stay here again.

This is by far The worst stay I’ve ever had the staff are not friendly like at all. They say you can have early check In but lie. Then when you ask for clean blankets they will tell at you and say they don’t have any. I walked into a MOTEL room that smelled like sex and cigarettes. The bathroom was filthy. The bed felt like I was sleeping on cardboard. Nothing about this room or stay was pleasant. Not safe either they have prostitution and crackheads that roam the property.

We stayed there for two nights..we received our room it was a heavy smell of cigarettes…mind you I asked for a non smoking room.. so I went to front desk requested another room it was the same…the bed back board had hand prints all over it.. yeah gross! The tub was dirty.. the location was hood like.. over all experience was not good

Paying $111 for one night was a rip off! The room smelled like mildew upon entrance. The curtains were stained. Too many tables in the room. The smoke detector was snatched off the wall. The bathroom was missing the vent cover over the vent and was looking gross when you look up in the ceiling. I could have had a better experience staying at Motel 6. You heard noise coming from outside. I paid for an Executive Double, which I’m uncertain as to why it was called that. I wish that I could get a refund. The appearance looks like a low budget hotel.

First half of the building had a fire, under construction, people outside the establishment, smoking weed, when you fist walked in to check in and the desk attendant had to buzz you in like you are visiting the jail, I just turned back around and left without even checking into the room. Not going to bring the kids I. This establishment

Our first room attempted was at the back of the facility and the room next to ours was all boarded shut. The room was filthy, with minimal amenities and cupboards under the sink was boarded shut. We then suggested another room which were possibly updated. It was no better. We looked through the windows before going in and he bed was not made and the pillows were on the floor.

Nothing about this place was good. The whole hotel is falling apart. Even the roof was leaking. The walkway floods like crazy, the pool was dirty , the wifi does not work, the room was not clean, the shower dont work, the room smelled like smoke, the staff was rude unattended kids run all over the hotel all night and the police keep showing to arrest people. JUST DO NOT GO HERE!!!!! Sorry, but this place needs to shut down!!!!

This stay was horrible. It’s become clear to me they have a clean side of the hotel and a nasty side. The room had roaches.. the front desk kept picking up and hanging up on me then during check the lady told me she didn’t get any calls which me & my friend knew was a lie. I asked for the manager to give me a call.. it never happened and they don’t answer the phone at the front desk at all. I will NEVER go back or recommend. FYI.. my previous stays were 10x better.

First I walk in. Instant smell of cigarette smoke in the room. The bed sheets were dirty. The desk chair had a big hole in it. The sink had yellow spots all over it. But to really set it all off. The room was clean and had a modern design. I appreciated the updated furniture and overall layout. I did notice one roach, but aside from that, the room was well maintained and comfortable. There was a group of guests outside making noise throughout the night. I called the front desk, and they said they would notify security, but the noise continued. It made it hard to rest before my long drive back to New York.

The room wasn’t terrible and the staff was real nice but around the property there are sketchy people and hard working ladies. You know it’s not the best area when every uber driver knows of the property due to the people who are around there.

The room we stayed in was not properly cleaned or checked over. There was beer bottle glass scattered all over the floor—which I stepped on—resulting in a cut. There were mold and bugs, one of the lights didn’t work, the tissue box on the wall kept breaking off, the shower barely worked, and there was trash on the floor. We brought up the glass to an employee and they took the piece we found but never came back with the vacuum we requested. All of the rooms next to ours were marked “unfit for habitation” which made us feel unsafe. The hotel room was rather dirty and smelt bad. Overall poor conditions. Would not recommend.

The hotel and rooms are in rough shape. I saw a lone roach on the wall as I was leaving. Common areas had lots of chipped and worn paint, and the clientele felt sketchy. My room had no towels, washcloths, or flat undersheet, just a thin, rough blanket with a flat sheet on top of the blanket. The staff were friendly and helpful, and everything in the room worked. Being unfamiliar with this particular brand, I expected something like a Days Inn, but it's like a step below Econo Lodge or Motel 6. I’m glad I only stayed 1 night.

There were wires hanging out everywhere in my room. Toenails on the floor. The lock was broken on the door. Not a fun experience. Wouldn't stay there ever again.

Im not gonna lie they should kind of have this spot for under market value. The room smelled like cigarette lingered in the room for a couple weeks . Its like partly a shelter ppl kids running around in the lobby iron boards and no irons tv the size of your phone it def dont look like the pictures . Its like a hotel / the projects all in one . They shouldnt mix the two just give it to tje Government . Guest should be subjected to this .

It wasn’t what I expected, I felt unsafe.

Upon arrival, we were assigned a room front desk attendant was very friendly and attentive. Entered our room. Bathroom was filthy. There was feces on the wall and a used toilet with feces remaining the room had a very strong smell of marijuana went back to the front desk asked for a different room, front desk, tenant obliged, kindly, and apologized Was assigned. A new room upon entering the room was very stagnant and smelled of cigarettes strongly in a non-smoking room dealing room still wasn’t very clean next morning asked front desk for some additional towels. We were told that they would drop them off. We went on our way for the day. Came back to find our refrigerator had gone down And no towels left behind. We lost all of our food in the refrigerator upon checkout. I brought it to the front desk, attention about the refrigerator not working and we had lost all the contents inside. The attendant did apologize and said we should’ve called and I informed her that we had a very busy weekend, and we did not return back to our room until 1:40 AM and I would address it in the morning. Overall not agreed experience.

Listed as Hotel and it is a Motel. No ice available. Room was dingy Bed were hard. Bathroom was poor. Broken tiles, exhaust fan disabled. Only 2 towel sets. When asked for more the only gave towels, washcloths not available.

From the pictures it looks like a decent property, however there was trash all over. The room was ok but the air conditioner wasn't working properly. One guest next door has a visitor at 12am that sat outside and played music loud and banged on the door repeatedly. I am understanding that this hotel is a place where low income people stay, which is fine but the hotel could keep the trash picked up.

I did not starter’s and they would not give me my money back. I went with my 9 year old daughter and there were prostitutes all over.

Unfortunately, the only good thing is the friendliness of the lobby staff. Hence, the rooms are dirty, in poor condition, and reek of cigarettes compared to what you see in the photos

The best part about my stay was the friendly staff. Other than that, the outside of the hotel looks run down and unsafe. The rooms were not the best as far as maintenance. There was an unpleasant smell outside my room my entire stay and there were panhandlers around the property. Very much unsafe. I strongly recommend new management and a complete facelift of the entire property. Safe to say I will not be staying here again next time I travel to Virginia.

The front desk Ladies here makes the stay amazing. They are extremely friendly, eager to assist, and assertive in a very professional way. I appreciate them very much for being so kind to me. They ALL deserve a raise, you want to keep Professionals like them around as long as possible!

This place needs some remodeling on the outside. My room was a non smoking room but smelled like cigarettes. The pool was clean but also needs some updating. The best part is the location.

For what I paid for one night, it was so not worth it. I definitely felt like it was a trap house. There wasn't any batteries in the smoke alarm, bed was hard. Holes in the walls, tv didn't even work, at least the pool was nice lol

The location of the property was overall close to the beach within 10-15 min drive walking distance from the outlet for shopping 🛍️ so that's a plus

How this place has a “good” rating is beyond me. The staff did not want to open the door because the lobby is closed after 10 pm… can’t help what time my train got in and I had a reservation. The staff lady was stern that she had to work. My bathroom looks disgusting. I don’t think the door has ever been washed. The tub and the walls are all falling apart. The bed is ok but the room has a smell to it. The AC units are leaking out on the front of the walk way. Also. This is a motel not a hotel. The rooms open to outside. Not a hallway.

The hotel websits and Booking.com states Breakfast included But no Breakfast. The shower in the room did not work just little drippings, the ac unit was extermly loud and the room smelled like mold.

Upon arrival the lobby stunk of mold, when I got to my room the door wouldn’t even shut or secure at all. There was a toilet seat in the corner of the room that had just been left there, bugs EVERYWHERE, all different kinds, the room stunk bad like cigarettes and mold, splatter marks everywhere bodily fluids, pubic hairs in bathroom and carpet not even connected to floor. Second room was just as bad, had to cancel and look for better accommodations. Absolutely disgusting

Could not check in early as promised when making the reservation. Non smoking room reeked of cigarettes. Water pressure was barely there. Toilet and shower not very clean. Didn’t even want to be barefoot in the shower. NOT as advertised. Low grade motel rather than a decent hotel as shown in the pictures.

We witnessed several arguments from random folks hanging around, seen a lady completely naked, someone's underwear were on the lobby floor when we checked in, someone ran up on my daughter and her Bf, witnessed someone vandalize a vehicle right in front of us. The whole place is a trap house and full of sketchy people who stare at you. We did not feel safe and I kept my forearm nearby. Don't come here. EVER

My ceiling, leaked the whole time and no room change.The door frame were all broken as if they were kicked in.And the room service was horrible. I asked for a new towels the first night I got there. Nice room. Pillows are very thin. No coffee in the rooms and none in the lobby but didnt ask either so there might be. One drawer was broken and completely missing the bottom but didnt need it anyway. Was a nice stay up until the last day and got woken up around 8am Sunday to power washing directly outside the room.

This property had recent fire of top floor, engulfed 2 rooms and roof. My room smelt smoky. Unsavory characters hanging about, and many guests arguing and fighting all nigjt. NO SLEEP before I had 8 hr drive ahead! Defeayed purpose if room! UNSAFE too. Asked for refund, told sorry, but not sorry.

There was black mold in bathroom. Unsafe drug deals going on. My room was a nonsmoke and the room smelled of cigarettes.

Well where do I start……from check in the lady at the desk had a bad attitude. A half dressed unbelted woman propositioned my wife to my dismay. Went to the room and to my suprise it didn’t look like the picture. Bed was uncomfortable. Bathroom fan or where the fan used to be with the exposed plug was shocking to see. No blanket so I had to keep my wife warm the old fashioned way. Stayed for 3 days with the same towels and linens. Was never offered any or told about any of the amenities as advertised. I would rather stay in the Waffle House parking lot in a sleeping bag than EVER stay at the Magnuson again! RENTERS BEWARE!!!!!

Was in town volunteering and when I arrived the room was very dirty. I was moved rooms and promised at least a partial refund. I stuck it out only being in the room a short a time as I could. I don't know that I can recommend this to anyone. I am on another trip to the area and chose Hilton and am having a much better experience.

One bed was made inside out with the blanket between the sheets. The other bed had no sheets, blanket, or pillow cases. There was no phone in the room. I had to google the phone number of the hotel in order to use my own phone to call the front desk. There were pieces of styrofoam scattered all over the carpet.

The advertisement of Executive, Business rooms are false. Front desk could not explain the difference. No complimentary drinking water. No iron/ironing-board, and the room stinks! I asked for a refund , they offered me another room; if my room had roaches the room next door would have it too. Will not be returning there.

Well I liked the room and the pool and the customer service but too much crazy stuff happening through the night outside the hotel with other people staying at the same hotel a lot of noise and people staying there or not staying the up at all hours of the night but I liked the receptionists they gave smiles and didn’t give an issue about me asking for an hour extension to check my room but the hotel has too much traffic and drama not in involving the employees that have to deal with it

The pictures shown on the booking page are false advertisement. The room looked nothing like the images shown online. I booked a non smoking room and received a smoking room. When I brought this up to the attention of the attendant she said nothing else was available. The exterior is very old and unclean. There’s even a section that looks like it was previously in a fire and no reparations have been made. Very disappointing

I did not even stay. After checking in at the hotel, I headed to my room, and there were some shady and scary people lurking around, which made me feel uncomfortable. The room was not up to par; the bed barely had any sheets, and the bathroom was not well maintained. I checked out of there within 30 minutes of being there after finding another hotel to stay at.

Worst hotel ever, bathroom door can't be locked, the faucet at the sink moves when you open it. I almost had a break in but I put a towel on my door. When I woke up, the towel moved, indicating an attempt for a break in. I had to push the chair onto the door so that no one could comeToilet was insanitary, and when it flushes, it gets everywhere. Booked a non-smoking room but the stench of smoke was there. I couldn't sleep well, and I even have asthma so it's kinda worse. I didn't even bother using the blankets. Towels smelled so bad, it reeks of cigarettes. Yeah it was pretty bad. Avoid this place at all costs :( the only good thing about this place was the concierge to be honest. If I could give it a rating of a zero, I would.

The hotel is filthy with trash and cigarettes all over the balconies and steps to hotel. The rooms are dirty and reeked of smoke causing my husband asthma to flare up as well causing me not to be able to breathe very well. The was no fire alarm or smoke alarm in the rooms.

Staff impossible to deal with...made a reservation for a family funeral and staff was un-compassionate when we requested a cancellation due to duplicate reservations being made for other family circumstances and needs.

Terrible stay at this motel. The room smelled like someone had been chain-smoking, and the smoke detector was ripped off the wall. The blankets had cigarette holes everywhere, and they couldn't even replace them. The cleanliness was nonexistent, hair all over the bathroom floor. They didn't have any towels or washcloths to replace the dirty ones, and the soap they provided was as thin as paper. You'd need a ton of packs just to get a decent wash. Plus, the room refrigerators were filthy. Definitely do not recommend staying here.
