I enjoyed my 5 night.6.day stay at the Virginia Beach Hilton Garden Inn in Towne Center. There was plenty to do everyday. The staff was professional and helpful. Didnt eat the breakfast.but. I could tell it was delicious cause it smelled good and plenty of.people ate in the eating area. Thank you hotels.com for a.smooth transition to a wonderful place

Easy location, room was great and the staff helped with dinner and breakfast suggestions. Parking was very simple and there is a ton to do within walking distance .

Hotel was very clean and smelled like a spa in the lobby. The room looked brand new due to renovations. Staff was very helpful and friendly. Ms. Ivy at check-in was the best! We did not use any of the amenities at the hotel so cannot comment on that. The hotel is located on the busy Virginia Beach Blvd so the noise was a little annoying but no fault of the hotel. Would stay here again.

Did not say that parking was a block away in 5th floor of parking deck. Not good if you have a bad leg and other medical issues. Ice machine broken, no exhaust in bathroom

My only real complaint is minor on its face, but something could have been avoided and obviously had an impact. Breakfast is supposed to run from 6:00-10:00 but there was no coffee left when I got downstairs at 9:00, and I was told that there would not be any more. That was an unpleasant start to my day (no one wants to deal with me before I've had adequate caffeine) that was really unnecessary. For the price and inconvenience of having coffee available for the entire breakfast time, you could have had a completely satisfied customer instead of one with a marred experience. And I saw another person deal with the empty coffee urn as well; others may not have felt the need to voice this, but I guarantee you others were also affected.

Excellent location in Town Center, Virginia Beach. Parking included at a parking garage across the street. We did not eat at the hotel. There were multiple restaurants within easy walking distance. Shopping nearby, although we were there for a family function & did not take advantage of it. Room had a kuerig, small refrigerator & a microwave which was great for the restaurant leftovers:) Would highly recommend!

I had a nice stay in this hotel and the staff was friendly & helful. I would stay there again. And it is right by all of the resturants and has parking across the street, which is nice.

The rooms have all been newly renovated. Beautiful. The room was well appointed. Bed was comfortable.

This was the dirtiest hotel I ever stayed at the first room I checked into was very nasty hair in tub, microwave dirty. I reported it to front desk they switched me to another room same issues. I gave this hotel a 1 the housekeeping team needs to do better.

When I checked in they said breakfast was included when you went to eat I was charged $18

We loved having the parking desk across the street and being within walking distance of restaurants, shopping, and the Sandler Center. The hotel was not well managed though. The lobby and elevator floors were filthy all weekend. We only had one towel in our bathroom. The duvet definitely saw better days and our room was so stuffy with the air on. The staff was nice and accommodating, but the property could use a little more care.

Wonderful workout room with weights, mats, treadmills, elliptical and Pelaton. Well located in a safe area— near shops, eateries, performance halls.

I enjoyed my stay at Hilton Garden Inn in Towne Center. I believe the room was very clean and well stocked. The front desk staff was very accommodating and pleasant, especially Ivenia! The parking was across the street, but the directions were clear, the parking was free.

Stay away! This was the worst Hilton property I have ever stayed at. The staff was awful. Waited two days for towels. Pool was “out of order” bc of a spilled drink. Bar never stayed open more than two hours. People were kicked out of the lobby for eating down there

Room was fine & staff exceptional. About 2a.m in the morning a fight broke out in the halls & nearby room on the floor I was staying. Screaming, cursing, banging!!!!! I was scared to death, lay awake with this going on for 2 hours. I was literally petrified to breathe, go to the restroom or make a call. I do not know what time the police were called but I DO know this went on for at least 2-2.5 hours. Why did it take the police so long to get there????? I cannot believe I paid almost $300 for the most frightening night of my life!!!!

Day two room not cleaned and microwave unplugged and had difficulty plugging in. Talked with staff but apparently they were not getting the message to maintenance staff. Third NIGHT maintenance finally came said had not received infor. Got microwave and light finally plugged back in. Shower shampoo clips attached to the wall but workman’s boot made shower dirty, no they didn’t clean it nor did the person doing the room clean it the next day so I did it myself. I hate being negative. I tried to resolve on daily basis. After going out on Sunday, returned to watch playoffs and ther room not cleaned until our return at 630 pm. They told us we were next so we went downstairs to watch game. Bar closed, fireplace in lobby was never turned on during entire stay we went up at the end of quarter to a clean room only to find NO TOWELS. Went downstairs to front desk to get towels so we could clean up from our day’s adventures. It wasn’t one thing it was multiple things throughout our 6 night stay. Staff all knew within last month and a half. Need more training. Will not stay at this hotel again. Sad.

Everything was great, check in during and check out went smooth. Only issue I had was the Pure Life water they had for $3.00 a bottle. You can go to Walmart and get a 35 pack for$5.87.

The beds were comfortable and so was pillows. Loved the location. Breakfast was good. Pool very well maintained. The chair in the room was stained and dirty. Day of arrival ran out of tp and there was no bath gel. I think the breakfast should have been included in stay like other hilton properties

The location was fabulous. Could walk to restaurants and shops. When driving, the city was easy to navigate. The hotel was clean and safe. The rooms were comfortable. Beds and showers were great. Staff was efficient but could have been more friendly.

Location was a plus, near everything we needed. Outdated, run down, much needed remodeling. Bed squeaked all the time, getting in or out and rolling over. Bed linen was old, holes in the seems and frayed. Bath towels had holes in them. Terrible lighting with one lamp unstable/broken and outdated. Bathroom had no working exhaust fan. Hall way carpet was gathering in the center throughout the entire floor. No parking near the building only available parking was in a parking garage across the street. I would expect this from a Days Inn not a Hilton.

I could hear rumpling and hammering on the ceiling and I found out that the floor up us was being remodeled. If I had notified that the hotel was being remodeled i never would have staid there.

We ordered the pure ness room there didn’t appear to be pureness in the room. Parking off site. Charged for a very very very poorly stocked breakfast buffet. Cleaning staff watched football game on 4th on Saturday and didn’t clean room. There are many better nearby hotels with free breakfast

No! I want to share how one of your staff member thought my husband a 32-year Army veteran was stealing a box of wine and a bottle of water. It took another staff member to say he paid. How dare she. I question the integrity of that worker who always sat at the bar speaking to the Food and Beverage each day we were there.

Friendly staff. Hotel is nice but could use some TLC - could use new carpeting, furniture... Also our room faced the road and it was a bit noisy. Would stay there again but would ask for a room not facing the street.

Common areas (lobby, elevator) were not cleaned daily (same debris laid on the floor for several days) and carpet in the hallways desperately needs replaced. Rooms were okay and a great value - you get what you pay for.

The bathrooms where not clean and alot of dust everywhere in the room and also dirty tissues under beds.They have giant roaches in lobby area. The parking is across the street and looks sketchy . Would recommend staying somewhere else. Had to get keys to the room 3 different times because they didn't work.

The younger lady at the front desk on Saturday night with the puffy/afro hair style was rude. She never made eye contact, sighed loudly during the interaction, and was overall not a very hospitable employee. She could benefit from additional training

I paid over 300 dollars for a room with a jet tub and only 1 jet was fully working. The rest you didn't know it was working. The Hotel name was Hilton Garden Inn in downtown Virginia Beach. The room was 211. Don't waste your money on paying money for a room with a jet tub that doesn't work. A bad experience with Hilton. NEVER AGAIN. I didn't get what i paid for neither will you. Stay away from that hotel

The hotel needs to rework their plumbing system. Sometimes there is no hot water coming from the water tapes. You will have to open the small sink tape for sometime or the whole time for hot to come out in the shower/bathtub

Our king suite was clean however the room needs a updating. The carpet was dull the couch and chair were worn. The toilet seat in the 1/2 bath was actually peeling. The main bathroom toilet was crooked and rocked when getting up. I was in town just for a few days if it was longer i may have left. I will not book the hotel again i expected more for the money.

The property was a bit far from the beach. Apparently there are three properties that you have to figure out which one is which.

It was a very comfortable stay.

I expected this property to be newer.

The best thing about the hotel was the location. Plenty of dining and shops within walking distance. And parking was free. As for the hotel itself, it was not as clean as I would've liked. The shower was leaky and the toilet's flushing was super loud. Breakfast was also super disappointing. Given that it costs $17, you'd be much better off eating at one of the nearby restaurants than wasting the money on mediocre eggs and bacon that are barely kept warm by heating lamps.

Clean room. A bit dated.

Hotel has not aged well. Looks tired. Carpets in hallways and especially in our room were filthy. Tried to wipe up spilled water with a towel and it came up black. Asked front desk to replace a lamp that was broken. Was told maintenance would be up the next day. Never happened. Stood in the lobby at 7 am waiting for coffee. Staff set up the entire breakfast buffett (which was advertised as included/free but was not included in our rate of ~ $400) leaving coffee, which everyone wanted, till last…

Paid in full through Expedia. Hotel sent separate charge after we left. Had to call the accountant twice to get it clear off my credit card.

It was an easy check-in and the room is decorated old school but was simple and clean.

Worst room. Chair dirt and stained, walls dirty, bed covering frayed, and terrible odor. Requested new room which has an air purifier much better.

The bathrooms were not clean.

Costly and should be lowered…

I reserved a room with snacks and drinks and never received them after asking multiple times. Rooms were old and dingy. Homeless people sleeping right outside in the seating area.

We were moved to the 4th floor. Hallway carpets looked nice. Our new room was very clean and the bed was quite comfortable. The furniture was identical to our previous room, but in much better condition. Had we not experienced the 5th floor disaster, I would have given the hotel perfect score. The hotel is showing its age, pretty significantly, but as long as I can get a clean, comfortable room, the rest is on the staff and Carlos and his team are good at it. Add free parking and this hotel still has attraction, among the much more expensive nearby properties.

The mattress was kinda too firm and uncomfortable. The pillows are completely flat and did not help with sleep which left us sleepy and tired.

They missed cleaning our room 2/3 of the time. The pool and spa looked and smelled iffy. The gym closed because of a leaky ceiling. The carpets were dingy. The paint in the bathroom was split and bubbly - like there was a leak. The AC was LOUD. BUT There was free fruit, coffee and tea in the lobby.

got there 12:30am had to wait 20 minutes for someone to open door to register, light bulbs missing in room .no clock and cleaning wasn't done till late

But issues with tv not working through out the hotel and non of the treadmills were operating correctly. By by large the biggest issue I had was the key card kept failing daily and twice in one day. Upon getting my key card corrected for the 5th time the manager said the card deactivates when near a cellphone. Why couldn’t they tell me that the first time???

Shower was broken and leaked all night. Bathroom was pretty outdated and dirty.

My family enjoyed our stay. We were welcomed in by staff. Every amenity was at the hotel; for example: the pool, the gym, breakfast $10 and complimentary coffee. All the stores and restaurants are walking distance in the Town Center. My young adults experience the Apex Entertainment!! Wow, they had an awesome time. The staff gave us coupons for Apex. My room came with light cleaning which includes clean trash cans, clean towels, and bed made. I had a FANTASTIC time in the pool as well with the jacuzzi. This is a WIN, WIN, WIN!

Overall, the property was fine. The room could have been cleaner, but for our short stay it was fine.

Dated, nice, and expensive

Bad things were musty carpet odor in room, very moist air flow in room, uneven tiles in bathroom which can be hazardous if you take a bad step.

We have stayed at this hotel before and keep coming back because it is clean, well maintained and centrally located in Virginia Beach. The free parking is convenient.

Staff was nice. Not their fault at all. The inside pool paint from the concrete coming off in the pool. I’ll look elsewhere.

The upholstered chair in the room had horrible stains on it Did take pix but wish I had Black speck in bed don’t know what they were but after much research ( I shouldn’t of had to do) finally brushed the bed off It was just not a pleasant day. I would’ve expected something like that down on the worst part of town for $75 a night instead of $275 a night.

Clean place but I had to ask 3 times for new towels to be delivered to my room and took over 30 minutes. The lady at the front desk was also very rude about it which was uncalled for.

The first room I was given was dirty with bedding tossed around the room. I returned to the desk and was given a second room. This room was fine, but the comforters seem to be very aged and it gives the room a drab, aged feeling.

First time I stayed and everything was great. Like that it’s walking distance to Town Center. We have a big long bed truck and they were very helpful and accommodating to find a parking spot as it’s hard to maneuver in a parking garage. We will be back in July.

I enjoy staying here. Staff is nice and it quiet. My room this time had a horrible smell (onions) and it wouldn’t go away . I don’t make a big deal about small things such as that but , maybe deodorizer may help the rooms.

Gabby in the bar was phenomenal—so helpful. Even though we ordered dinner in because of the hotel’s limited menu, we made sure to have several round of drinks from the bar—-only disappointment was very limited wine selection and only one glass of red! Had to drink white after that… Also disappointed that no breakfast items were complentary —-we wanted a yogurt cup and a piece of fruit —did not purchase—too$$$. Water in the room was also a charge after 1 bottle—really?? No luggage racks available (we are in our 70’s) upon arrival nor at early departure time—no one at the desk seemed to care about it nor check on getting us one. Furniture is worn but attractive. Appreciated free parking. Location of hotel was excellent!! Many shops and restaurants within walking distance and a much safer part of town than adjoining areas—loved this.

Not thoroughly impressed with the condition or cleanliness of this property given that it was a Hilton property. I would have expected the tub and sink to be free of mold and rust, the hair grease from a prior guest to not be smeared on the headboard of one of the beds still and would have thought the water stains on the ceiling and bubbling drywall would be repaired. It was a one night stay, but we will not be staying again because of the lack of upkeep at this establishment.

The hotel staff were very friendly and provided great customer service. The hotel itself was decent but could be cleaner in the rooms. A little outdated. The area around the hotel was beautiful a lot of shopping and restaurants close by!

Great place to say and go to the Funny Bone or out for the night in Town Center

Stay was fine and employees nice. My husband was not feeling well & we checked in about 4pm but had to wait for a room to be cleaned. While waiting he had some health issues which caused me to have to spend the evening waiting for the washing machine/dryer to be free and the the dryer required me to use my credit card so I paid $6 for the dryer alone to dry his clothes. Nit a pleasant evening to say the least!

The sheets had a hole in them , the toilet didnt flush properly and when we cleaned out the jets in the tub a bug came out.

This is what you expect from the Hilton name and a place to stay. The only thing that caught me off guard was no on-site parking. Parking is across the street in a ramp. Several times while in the ramp I witnessed security on patrol. That made me feel at ease with the parking situation. I enjoyed the stay and would return in the future.

Property was nice for the night the room price is debatable. The whirlpool on our room didn’t work right the jets which sucked. There was also like red strings in it from not being wiped or cleaned fully. Looked like from someone else’s garments or bathing suit. For the price we paid and no breakfast included for only one night was not ok either. The room was $300 for a night should have included breakfast at least. Other than that it was a good stay.

Ice machine was broken on two floors during our stay , bathtub was stained and older appearance , room furniture also stained with worn appearance as well .

Everything was lovely and accommodating for my family. I was surprised that there was no complementary breakfast, but overall it was a great stay.

There seems to be a staffing issue for the property. Not enough employees for smooth transitions. The staff currently there are welcoming and helpful but they need a more fully staffed hotel to thive. This hotel could use a face lift to continue to show hilton standards
