Embassy Suites by Hilton Virginia Beach Oceanfront Resort

I never leave reviews but this hotel deserves one. Got married and my husband and i decided to do a mini moon here. And we both give it a 10 outta 10 in every category!! Customer service, cleanliness, food, amenities, convenience. We have decided to come back each year for a weekend we enjoyed it that much!

The entire staff, facilities and all the stay was an excellent experience and we would absolutely come back. This was our very first time in Virginia Beach and the Embassy staff made it very memorable.

Everything was great room was beautiful. The staff very friendly everyone at the front desk. If there is a complaint, the only complaint I could have is the parking but besides that everything was fantastic.

Everything was lovely Food,Service, the amenities the beach. The only thing is that if it's a king size bed it needs to actually be a king size bed those beds are not king size beds those our Queens and the beds was a little hard and not in a good way. But other than that everything was wonderful.

We had an excellent stay. The pool was beautiful, clean, and well maintained, and the beach service was outstanding, with convenient access to umbrellas and other rentals. The hotel was clean, spacious, and comfortable, with great restaurants, an excellent breakfast, and a beautiful beach just a short walk away. Overall, everything exceeded our expectation. The only drawback was that beach chairs and umbrellas came with an additional fee. While I understand that these are separate beach amenities, the extra charges felt a bit excessive considering they are located right in front of the resort and are something many guests are likely to use.

The room was exactly as described. a perfect view of the ocean. a very spacious room layout. great pool area and beach access was wonderful. we purchased a day bed and clam shell canopy for a day and it was amazing to just relax and enjoy the beach. had to drive to restaurants and shopping so additional parking fees was not ideal

it started great with Julie at check in. from there it slowly started to not be so good. we ordered an ocean view room. we were told we were given an accessible room because the other rooms like pictured were not available. the managers reception at most embassy suites serves real food, all week when we attended it was warm cheese squares, crackers, raw vegetables, and a line to wait in for 2 drinks each. (not what we are used to) in our room we moved to sofa to be able to see the ocean and found broken glass on the ground. the three hotels you have as part of the resort, only one has a hot tub and it wasn't the embassy. when we walked over to the hot tub we were asked to leave, the night before both other hotels gladly took our money in their restaurants and lounges, but we could not use the hot tub. we used valet parking for part of the stay about 50% was great the other half was not a good experience. one day after a somewhat long day we went out to sit near the ocean in a chair only to have someone tell us 10 minutes later at 6pm the chairs had to be put away. we visited for a week spending over $4000 and have had way better experiences for half that at other properties.

Very clean, great access to the beach. The staff working the parking booth are not very helpful and sort of rude. Main issue is the bed, some a king bed that is quite a bit smaller than a king bed, terribly uncomfortable.

Absolutely loved the Embassy Suites in Virginia Beach. The room was spacious and incredibly clean. The staff was friendly and so helpful. Our stay was perfect.

My husband and I truly enjoyed our stay. The staff was awesome and very friendly! The free breakfast was super great! We will be going back.

Beautifully clean and we were able to shop some and walk to the airport to catch our flight.

I did not receive housekeeping service, and when I called to ask about it, I was assured that someone would come. No one ever arrived. Since I had a meeting, I later requested fresh towels and coffee instead, but I had to ask three separate times before finally receiving them that evening. What was most frustrating was the response from the front desk. When I asked that my complaint be registered, the staff did not seem particularly concerned and appeared to laugh it off. That is not the level of service I have come to expect from this hotel, or from Hilton properties in general. Overall, while the hotel has many positives, this experience was disappointing and not up to the usual standard.

I can’t express how much we loved this hotel! Such a great place! I wouldn’t want to stay anywhere else

Everything was great with the staff. Arbuckle's wait staff needs to be way more attentive to customers. The only real issue I have with the room is the lack of outlets for gaming systems. It was a huge obstacle setting up my console not just to the TV, but to the power! I'm not going to waste money on a power strip to use only at hotels.

the check in was fast and efficient. the attendant was pleasant and informative. The room was clean, quiet and with shades drawn dark for sleep. The breakfast was wonderful especially with the animated chef making the omelets! It was a nice get away from the same old, same old at home.

Julie at the front desk was so sweet! Check-in was a breeze and every time we saw her, she said hi and asked how everything was! Cindy was also great, we ran into an issue that they fixed immediately and even gave my boys an ice cream for the inconvenience! Great customer service !! I choose Embassy over the Marriott just because of how kind and welcoming everyone is!!

The beds were not comfortable at all - My husband and I both left very much looking forward to our own bed. Additionally, the staff member who checked us in seemed annoyed during the check-in process and spoke so quickly, we could not understand what she was saying (I felt horrible asking for information to be repeated, as I did not want to seem rude) - That person ended up giving us the keys to someone else's room. I felt horrible opening the door and almost walking into someone's occupied room. The manager exchanged our keys for the correct room and walked us to the new room to make sure everything was satisfactory. The entire check-in process took over 30 minutes, which was not ideal, but the manager was great and very helpful.

We've stayed here a bunch with our dogs, and we totally love it – the staff is awesome. This time, our room was the best we've had there. It had a wrap-around patio with amazing views, comfy beds, and super quiet rooms; I've never heard another guest from inside my room.

We truly love the hotel with its cozy atmosphere. We loved the different restaurants. The rooms were clean.

Breakfast was good. Ms. Joanne at the pool was excellent… Beds wasn’t comfortable and we didn’t get a good night sleep due the entire stay. A lot of money spent to be uncomfortable.

Wanted to bring our kid to the beach for one day and night during spring break. Paid a lot for a view we never got. We were put on the 3rd floor and had a view of the hotels HVAC system. When they texted my phone and asked how our stay as going, I gave my concern but was offered nothing. Very disappointed as we are frequent Embassy Suite goers.

Katylin was the best server! She provided exceptional service every night, and because of her (and the incredible food), we ate there all three nights. The food was 10/10 — fresh, flavorful, and consistently excellent. We will definitely be staying here again and referring others as well. Thank you for such a great experience! everything was great

The location and breakfast. Check in took to long and the front desk lady kept trying to charge way more than what I was supposed to. She kept saying its because of the new system. She finally got it correct after about 45 minutes. I was checking in late due to being out celebrating my birthday. Lastly, the bed in the room is so low and hard! We barely got any good rest in that bed. Nothing like any Embassy I have ever stayed in. And parking is next to the Marriott Hotel which has a way bigger lobby and lounge area. Night reception good luck!

I love that this hotel is very family friendly and provides plenty of activities for kids and adults to have fun. They didn’t serve pancakes or French toast for breakfast during my 4 day stay at the hotel.

Wonderful breakfast-a lot of choses . I would be nice to have a free /discounted parking - currently $25.00 for one night.

I tried canceling the room due to another engagement but booking.com declined my request. We were told that we would still be responsible for the nightly rate. Therefore we decided to go and postpone our other trip. However, once we got to the property, our reservation had been canceled, although we were told it couldn't be canceled. The staff was able to accommodate the exact room we originally reserved... they were extremely professional and pleasant. One of the best places we ever stayed. It was worth the confusion and every dime spent! Going back in the summer for my Husband's birthday.

Parking lot was across the street in the same building as the Marriot, I parked on the 4th level and had to walk all the way down because my access card was only for the Hilton. Also we a person checks in the should be asked how many guest will be in the room so there is no mishaps during the free breakfast. I traveled with my daughters team and her coach put her and her teammates in a room that held 6 people but when he booked the room he didnt have the final headcount. At breakfast we were stopped for this, I had two employees talking to me about the rules and why they need a headcount. To say the least at 830am it was over stimulating and unnecessary.

After going down and informing them we had the wrong room we were told we were given a “free upgrade” since they ran out of king sized beds. The staff insisted going from a king size bed to two full size beds was an upgrade for me and my wife and refused to offer any refunds.

Felt more like sleeping on a box spring than a mattress. I woke up with shoulder pain each morning. The room unfortunately was over a roof top with loud machines running - I’m assuming it was the HVAC system. So despite having a side ocean view , all you could hear on the balcony was the loud humming of machines. Which was really bothersome.

Embassy Suites was amazing. Really good breakfast with made to order omelettes and anything else you could want. Evening reception was from 4:30-6 daily and included two free alcoholic beverages per adult (we had a hard time getting a non alcoholic drink for our son though) - wines well drinks and beer. Also ate twice at Tacos and Tequila and our waiter William was gracious friendly and efficient - food was great. Been to Virginia Beach many times - kind of family tradition since 2017 and have stayed many places - will def come back here. We had a king bed quite two rooms and really liked it. Also did the lawn party at Cavalier - really nice.

Embassy Suites was amazing. Really good breakfast with made to order omelettes and anything else you could want. Evening reception was from 4:30-6 daily and included two free alcoholic beverages per adult (we had a hard time getting a non alcoholic drink for our son though) - wines well drinks and beer. Some things that I would change are the room temperatures. I enjoy a cooler room, and throughout the night it felt as though the temperature crept up. The restaurants were very expensive and one in particular, the Deck, was mediocre in service and quality. The happy hour reception is a very nice gesture!!!

Last year we stayed on the 4th floor this year we stayed on 11th both oceanfront but for some reason the water pressure was very low this year. The valet parking was much better last year. This year we waited at times an hour plus for them to bring our vehicle. The last day we wanted to get an earlier start home and we waited an hour for them to bring our vehicle. The lady at the front desk was nice enough to walk and get security to bring it. Overall we had a great time.

The property is unique in that it is clean and updated.

Over crowded and understaffed. Paid extra for late check out. $100 for 2 hours. They deactivated our cards in the middle of it. Had to stand in line for 10 minutes to reactivate. Bet we spent 2 hours total waiting for “valet” to bring our car around

The mattress in room 888 was way to hard, needs to be replaced. The room and hotel were very clean.

Beautiful property. Staff was EXCELLENT (with the exception of the bartenders at both outside pool restaurants, TNT and The Deck). The mattress on the king bed was pretty awful for an Embassy Suites, and the pool was definitely not maintained well, very cloudy. Other than that it was a fantastic stay, the staff were amazing, front desk, dining, and housekeeping. The hotel itself was beautiful, clean, huge balcony (we had a partial ocean view on the side of the building and it was still a great view). There were plenty of food options right there at the resort, and all were great and not unreasonably priced (for the beach!).

It would be 5 stars but we had to wait all the way up to 4pm to check in, which is ridiculous considering we paid over $500 for the night. The price is another reason it is not 5 stars. That's a crazy amount of money for a single night, and some nights were over $800. My monthly mortgage is $1100... You also have to pay $25 a night for parking, which is insulting considering what you're already paying. The food and drinks were great but again, your paying top dollar for it all, except breakfast. The amount of kids taking over the pool was also ridiculous. The water looked extremely cloudy. Otherwise it was a very pretty and clean resort area with a great beach and beautiful views. I would stay here every visit if the prices were more reasonable.

The outdoor pool could be cleaner. The Marriot nxt door is much cleaner from our previous visits.

Rooms were spacious. The staff were so nice and helpful. The restaurant in the lobby had a really good free breakfast buffet. Great pools and right on the beach. Loved it all.

The best part of our stay was our check in process it was super easy and quick Clinton provided great customer service! Great way to start off our stay.

Kid friendly

With the price of this hotel I don’t think I should have had to pay for parking, also in my opinion the decor should have been more of a beach vibe. Despite this many things made my stay more appealing. For starters, I was delighted by Joann’s bubbly personality. Also the staff for breakfast was awesome, especially the woman who was making omelets.

Booked through ex pedia...they thought we needed 2 rooms...only booked one...hotel would not let us into room for 1 hr. Until problem was resolved with expedia...this is terrible especially when we are in our 80s and traveling...never had this experience before...they did upgrade our room? They need to upgrade the front desk....

I definitely enjoyed my stay at this property for a quick weekend getaway, I enjoyed the layout of the room, not your typical standard hotel room. Orions rooftop bar is amazing, highly recommended. Valet parking was a breeze. I will be booking again in the future!

We had an amazing stay at this hotel in Virginia Beach! The ocean views were absolutely incredible-waking up to that was such a treat.The rooms were spacious, super clean, and comfortable, making it a great place to unwind. The breakfast was another highlight; it was delicious with made to order omelettes and plenty of options to choose from. Whether you're looking for a relaxing getaway or an oceanfront retreat, this place has everything you need for a perfect stay.

I enjoyed my stay, but it was overshadowed by the fact that I was charged twice for my hotel room and still have not been reimbursed. I originally had a hotel room booked at the historic Cavalier hotel. The day before my stay, I received 2 voice mail messages and 2 e-mails from Expedia explaining that I needed to call them to book a room at another hotel. The Cavalier was having A/C issues in some rooms. The only communication from the actual hotel itself concerning this was an e-mail stating that my reservation had been cancelled. I called Expedia and spent an hour and 40 minutes on the phone trying to book a room elsewhere. I got the room, showed up to check in, and realized later on that I had been billed twice. Unbeknownst to me, the Cavalier had booked a room for me already at Embassy Suites. When I rebooked the room through Expedia, I ended up getting charged twice. The first 45 minutes of my hotel stay were spent on the phone with Expedia dealing with this. It has been 4 days, and Expedia is still getting no information from the Cavalier and the hotel is saying that they refuse to reimburse me at this time. This has all been so upsetting, especially as I need the money that was taken from my account. The lack of communication from the Cavalier is disappointing, along with the lack of accountability concerning this issue.

Very cool spot, ocean views from room. Breakfast included and happy hour drinks at Arbuckles with a view of The Cavalier Hotel from the bar. Smart design to best use resources in the area.

The room was not at pictured on hotels.com we were given a partial view instead of the corner king view as pictured. When we checked in the lady said that hotels.com makes this mistake often by putting the wrong picture there and said there was nothing she could do.

Beautiful hotel and atmosphere. The only issues I had was the front desk person at check in was not friendly or welcoming. Her presentation did not represent the hotel at all. Similarly, the cook staff for the omelette station was rude as well. Again, did not seem to represent the overall environment well.

I did not like that when we booked on Expedia & got to the actual hotel. There were so many hidden fees. Held $300 for incidentals and did not know this hotel was a resort & had to pay resort fees. Also had to pay for parking. I just didn’t know there were so many fees until we got to the front desk. The hotel was very nice & the stay but probably will not stay here again due to knowing what all the hotel holds and what monies you don’t get back.

A new Hotel, We had a large room. Train staff on how to accommodate Hilton Honors members with benefits. Get rid of those red potatoes they are taste awful this the second time had to endure them, go back to the regular potatoes from your other Embassy Hotels. Consider the feedback.. However we enjoyed our stay!! A kind Thanks to the Manager on duty!!!

Beautiful place with lots of amenities. Clean, comfortable and all in all a wonderful stay. We really loved it.

Incredible room with amazing views. Lots of space to relax. So clean and comfortable. Wish the restaurant had more options, pretty limited. Parking is shared with the Marriott and you have to walk across the property to get to the garage.
