Overall, it was an excellent 2 day stay. Highly recommended.

Given the late hour, he had no choice but to find and pay for another hotel room. To make matters worse, the hotel refused to refund the original reservation. This is a very disappointing way to treat customers. Not only did it create an unnecessary hardship for a tired traveler arriving late at night, but the lack of flexibility and customer service was unacceptable. Unfortunately, this decision will cost them far more than the price of a single room. Our company conducts business in the area regularly and has employees traveling there several times each month. Based on this experience, we will not be staying at this property again.

Good clean place to stay

When we checked the sheets, we found debris in them. We got an our vehicle and went to meet Family. I called several times to the front desk to try and get them to take care of the situation. No one repeatedly answered after numerous rings. We ended up grabbing full-size throws so that we could sleep on top of the covers. I called the front desk the next day twice again. Repeatedly no answer. No one came to our room to remove trash or check on the status of the room. We had to go and search of toiletries. We do not plan to stay here next time

The staff was very friendly and helpful. We were in town for a wedding, so the location was excellent for us. Nice restaurant right in front of the hotel…good food. Smelled like smoke in the room…it was a non-smoking room…it got better over a couple of days…we were there for three days.

The first room I was given had ants in the bathroom and bed. When i informed the front desk they changed my room which had no problems.

The staff at complimentary breakfast was rude and complained that the power went out in the kitchen limiting any food being brought out.I couldn't stay and wait so I didn't get the benefits of complimentary breakfast. They shouldn't offer complimentary breakfast if they aren't going to provide it.

It was mostly quiet. Bed was comfortable clean room. Nice staff. The shower head was not working properly. It was repaired in an orderly fashion.

What i didn't like was when I was given the key to my room, I wasn't even in the room an hour when maintenance just opened the door to my room and when he saw me he quickly closed the door. He didn't apologize. He just walked away fast. I confronted him and he made some lame excuse and I went to the front desk to make a complaint. That night as I was preparing for bed I noticed that the floor had never been swept. There was food and crumbs on the side under the bed. This was so disgusting that I kept my socks on the entire time. The next morning there was a lot of commotion going on in front of my door with people next door as well as the maintenance guy. I then start to realize that the maintenance guy was very familiar with the people that were staying there and apparently he must have walked into someone else's room because I heard him apologizing to the lady. When I came out to my car yesterday I saw the maintenance guy squatting by the fence, not doing any work just watching. As I was making sure that the door was locked he burst out in laughter. I continue to walk to the car. This is a place that I will never lay my head again nor will I recommend anyone to stay there.

The service was very good. We were met by a guy at the front desk that let us know if we needed anything he was our guy and he came through when I needed him to come to the room to get the tv working. The gift bag upon arrival was very thoughtful. The only negative part of our stay was the noise level outside. Loud voices, vrooms, foul language. It all ended by midnight though and I slept well…. But I thought twice about opening the door for any reason.

We bought a Swifter mop to clean the floors because after showering my wife's feet were dirty from walking from the shower to the bed

Breakfast was good with protein choices which was appreciated and the coffee was good. I think the room could have better lighting. The breakfast could start a little earlier for catching morning flights from the airport.

Frustrating checkout experience. The room was great but despite confirming someone would be at the front desk to support my early AM checkout, no one answered the door despite knocking repeatedly. I was also told I’d be able to get a printed invoice during checkout .

You can tell they're using funds to improve the property, but it was a bit steep. New faucets, but artwork was upside down in the room that seemed a bit dusty. The staff was super friendly - which really provided the only reason to stay. Nice touch with the welcome bag including bottled water.

Went to check in. Pulled into a oneway small parking lot dimly lit. People hanging outside the hotel . Looked like a drug hotel . Didnt stay and they still tried charge my card

Clean, nicely appointed room. I arrived during a blizzard and they had turned the heater on so my room was warm. The front desk man that night was nice and friendly. A second man the next day, shoveling the walkway, was friendly. No hair dryer.

The staff members we met were amazing! We were in town for a cruise that was leaving the next day. When we got to town, it was 9pm, raining and we didn't know the area (we're from out of state). To top it off, I didn't have enough funds on my card for the security deposit (which was my fault, I had withdrawn cash for the cruise). The man behind the counter was so amazing, he could tell we were desparate and in a bind and he waived the fee since we were only staying for a single night. Sadly I don't have such a high opinion of the facility itself, but I wanted to make sure I gave credit where credit was due. There were unfortunately no other highlights. The room itself wasn't very clean. The lamps and other fixtures in the room were dusty and rusted. The shower pressure wasn't good, and I could still see stains and shampoo streaks from whoever had been in that room last, so it definitely wasn't cleaned very well. Before this, I've never stayed at a hotel with doors that face out (motel style, I guess?). But I was on a budget and decided to take a chance. I will not be taking that chance again. The lighting was terrible outside, and the walls were so thin I could hear other guests having arguments or partying. There were some shady-looking people standing around that definitely did not make the area feel very safe. The breakfast the next day was also lacking; there was barely more than cereal, some watery-looking egg patty things, and individual pieces of bread in ziplock bags.

Breakfast was standard I would have appreciated some grits to go along with the other items. Cleaning staff never cleaned the room while we were there and never asked if we needed anything like clean towels, toilet tissue, or trash dumped and when we tried to get our own towels from a cart we saw we were reprimanded for taking them like we not guests staying at the hotel.

The breakfast was just ok. The hashbrowns were never filled up despite request. The eggs were brought out with some delay. The service was passable. No bar soap in the bathrooms. No hot breakfast, unless you consider the oatmeal we had with hot water.

Pool was down for 3 day we couldn't swim

We accidentally left my children’s sound machine, we contacted the property the day we checkout, they told us they would mail it. It has been a month and we have no received it. When I’ve reached out twice within the last two weeks and they will not respond to me.

The staff member Terrell made our stay pleasant. He was very friendly and willing to go above and beyond to make sure our needs and issues were taken care of. To me, he exemplified the character of a hotel manager even though he wasn't. Promote him please!!!

The check in the lady with the glasses was pretty chill about my absolutely horrible experience i had and that’s it To start off i didn’t know i had to pay a 100$ deposit for the room it wasn’t stated on the website. I still paid it none the less ( i haven’t gotten it back it’s been 3 days but we’ll get to that later here ) , so upon going into my room with my spouse the first thing we always check is the sheets in ANY hotel we go to.. when i say the sheets was absolutely FILTHY! Like i was absolutely shocked?? I’m like did they literally just put the covers back and didn’t even bother to lift them and check them ? So we go to the other bed it’s literally MOLD ON THR SHEETS!! MOLD !! So my souse said it’s NO way i can sleep in this filth. I just paid 400$! 400$! I know that’s not a lot to yall but cmon! So they did try to offer another room but me working in the hotel industry i know that it’s typically 1-3 housekeepers on the clock which means if one room looks like this your taking a gamble on another room. So i requested a refund but since i booked through a 3rd party i couldn’t get my money or my refund back for a week. So i had to use a credit card and pay 600$ for the nearest next decent cheap hotel because i thought best western was the optimal choice. And as of right now I STILL HAVENT GOTTEN MY 100$ deposit back !! Worst hotel experience of my life i ran my credit card up 1000$! When i should’ve only paid 400$ to stay at best western !

The staff was Very friendly and welcoming! The room was terrible. There was missing molding, broken closet doors, ripped blankets, and mildew in the shower.Nothing like the pictures on line.

We were only there overnight and for some reason there were about 8 or more times an emergency vehicle came by with sirens on. Hard to sleep! No hair dryer in room.

On arrival at midnight, had to go back to the front desk due to the room overwhelmingly smelling like smoke. The second room discovered the smoke detector battery was beeping every minute and had to go back down to the front desk to get a third room. Front desk personnel seemed perturbed at me as if I was responsible for the inconvenience.

I prefer a mini gym and breakfast bar to have milk available for guest than have to bother a staff to get it from their fridge and just give me a cup. For my cereal. The bathroom was visibly not clean. The comforter had an odor. A lot of the appliances look rusted and outdated. The staff was kind but the room was not up to date at all. I would not recommend this hotel.

The only downside for me was being placed on the second floor since I was traveling with kids. I would have preferred a first-floor room for easier access. Other than that, everything else was great, and I would definitely consider staying here again.

Great location, service was great, wish the hotel had laundry room for the guest and also better parking space, one night I had to park near the trees and sap and ants were all over my car the next morning, but other then that the hotel was great, location was awesome. Service was excellent. I would book here again.

I will say the pool was not open from 10 am to 10 pm as it says on the website it was more like 1130 12 o’clock to 10 customer service was good but the pictures on the website, do not coincide with the room. Also, the continental breakfast was from 7 AM to 9 AM for all three days. They ran out of food. NOT GOOD ! The room is very outdated. It had a lot of rough areas on the frames of the doors in the room had a small nasty scent. Overall, I will give it a three out of five.

Got in very late, but someone was there to check us in. Room was renovated, updated, clean, and comfortable. Very nice and comfy beds. A/C worked great! Good water pressure in shower and sink. Overall, an excellent stay!!

Room was clean. Shower had great water pressure. Very pleased that the room also had hot water almost instantly! The man at check-in and check-out was super nice and friendly. Even had snack bags for us! Only complaint was the parking lot was kind of small and hard to park. Would come back for sure!

Dirty carpets, odd smelling rooms and the reality that the photographs on line vastly improved the true look of the property dissuaded us from ultimately staying there even though the staff were very friendly and helpful.

At 10am the day I was supposed to arrive, they ran my credit card, it declined, and instead of contacting me to see if I would be using another payment, they instead canceled my reservation WITHOUT TELLING ME they were cancelling. I DID NOT receive a text message, phone call or email of their decision to cancel. Instead, I found out at 9:00pm when I finally arrived that they had canceled and I had to find another place to stay. I will NEVER make another reservation at a Best Western every again.

We would stay here again. There are a lot of restaurant's in the area. Nice and quite.

It was decent. Breakfast was a little sad. But other than that it was nice.

Great! Very clean rooms/bathrooms, great tv services, the employees were very nice and informative, good access to nice restaurants, cozy beds and pillows, pretty big size rooms. Just no elevator and very noisy guests at night

I don’t think customers should have to request for cleaning services. We requested twice but due to their staff miscommunication we had to wait for two days before the room was cleaned.

This property was dirty and when asked to clean our room, it went uncleaned for 3 of our 4 days of stay! When I told the front desk clerk every night about our uncleaned room and that we will be checking out, he said the mgr told him we would have to pay double for unused stay!!! The mgr never called me back and the desk clerk said I could not have the mgrs. superiors number either!

Property dirty! Had hair in sink and lamps and no one came to clean it. I told the GM and she said she wasn’t requested to clean it so she didn’t know I wanted that done!!! I also told front desk. Ended up checking out early and not staying full stay. GM Crystal Gay was unprofessional, rude, and zero help.

There was bugs in our room. No room change.

The hotel met our needs adequately. It was very convenient to our wedding, to shopping, to restaurants, to the Norfolk Botanic Garden, to the beach on the ocean, etc.

Its very close to the airport. Its an easy location for when you have an early or late flight

Even though pool was not open, you should be able to sit by it. Maid service is only offered afyer 3 days ??? It should be offered everyday. Workers were very friendly. Would not stay here again sorry not sorry and we are. Oh neat western fans

Property was good but know upgrade I received or discount rate.

My only complaint would be the breakfast. The fried (baked) eggs, sausage links and cornbread hash was cold although on heaters . The hash browns were hot though. Definitely needs a microwave in area to heat food up but still would not recommend breakfast unless REALLY low on funds. Besides that this hotel was AMAZING.

Desk personnel were friendly. Room smelled musty, but better than other places I’ve stayed. My big complaint was the shower had literally no water and the sink drain was extremely slow. I was upset not being able to take a shower after a 16 hour workday and I was too exhausted to change rooms.
