Beach Carousel Motel

The staff was friendly and the pool was nice. The carpet was absolutely disgusting my baby was crawling around on the floor and every time she'd get on the floor her legs and feet and hands were black.I'd have to wash her off every time I picked her up out of the floor it was a issue. The carpet was very dirty.

The distance it was to the beach. The rooms very outdated seems like it’s enough guest there afford updates. 500 for 2 nights it’s crazy. Office manager was nice very helpful. I wish I did a location check better.

The location of the motel being so close to the boardwalk and the beach. The room wasn't every updated and the stove was missing 2 of the burners and the bedroom door trim was coming off and the 2 box fans were every rusted and out.

Great for any anglers who are looking for a cheap place to stay near the VB fishing pier. Asked if I could leave my car in the parking lot after my check out time, and let me do so. (May vary depending on season). Staff were very nice, very walkable, food and entertainment nearby.

Hotel was close to beach, 1 block off Atlantic Ave. Front office was close to my room. Plenty of towels. A little kitchenette included, although I did not cook. Rooms are very big and had 2 double beds and futon beds. 5 or 6 people would not be cramped. Not the greatest area. Lots of vagrant type people walking by all hours of day and night. Not the greatest area. The chain to my door was broken and front office staff acted like that was no big deal. Didn't really feel safe there. TVs didn't work. 1 TV, the remote didn't work right. Office staff came to fix it and then stopped working again in a few minutes. The other TV didn't have a remote. I asked to move to another room in the morning but that was ignored. Not very comfortable beds as they made my back hurt.

Parking was easy but the property was so filthy and dirty. There was smell of weed in the room. Couldn’t touch the oven and fridge, they’re soo greasy and dirty. Couldn’t step on carpet and it was very sticky. Such a terrible experience l. Washroom was dirty

I couldn’t sleep all night because of the smoke smell, on top of being worried about the pimps and hookers that live and work out of the motel. Worst part was the diarrhea around the toilet seat, used towel in the closet, balloon on the bathroom floor, soap wrapper in the drain and non existent air conditioning.

The location. It’s like a 3 minute walk, close to the beach & also close to restaurants, stores and things to get into with the family. The TV … you couldn’t get any channels but it was included? There was no toilet paper at hand had to go out and by 2 rolls didn’t want to ask because I thought I would get a “no”

I like it wasn’t too far from the beach ?️. I like the fact that it had refrigerator,and stove , two ?. What I didn’t really the stovetop bunner did not work well it a upgrade and the bathroom tub ? needs to be fixed.

The minimal staff was very friendly and understanding.The location was awesome and lots of things around to walk to. We had no AC in the back bedroom and the best they could do was give us a box fan in the middle of the sweltering summer! We heard ours was not the only unit that had no AC and same thing about getting a box fan. There was no apparent maintenance staff and so few staff that we had to take out all our own trash AND gaher up all our towels and sheets daily to exchange for new ones. We were told there was dishes and cookware with no coffee pot, but it was exactly opposite and we had to go buy pans and paper plates, plastic ware and cups, soap etc for the kitchen.

Close to pier Musty, even the cloths we hung in the clothing area had to be rewatched from the musty smell.

Friendly staff Laundry room had nothing stocked or available (soap, change) and housekeeping was only done if requested. We had to ask for towels daily, along with trash bags and took our own trash out.

It was in a central location close to the beach It was not clean. The beds were gross the extra sofa pull out bed was broken and the couch cushions were stained. We had a non smoking room but it smelled like smoke from everyone downstairs smoking at their doors. The one time we asked for extra towels we were questioned why we would need them.

The room was well put together. Good rates during off season. Wonderful staff. Had a great pre-Christmas get away.

This motel is very outdated, the carpets are disgusting. The bathroom smells because they don’t clean in the sides of the toilet. Th e shower curtain had mold in it, and the vents are full of mold. Walls and corners are filthy. I would never go back there again

This is an awesome spot to say It is more affordable and you have access to Virginia Beach and all of the highlights there without having to drive they have free parking and the rooms are large

We were very happy with our stay! The very best thing about this motel was the location! Even tho you are not ocean front, it’s just steps away, and the pier is literally right there! All the best food places as well are within steps! The staff was the next best thing! Helpful, kind, friendly, funny, and all around wonderful hotel staff! We arrived early and our room wasn’t ready and they let us use a empty rooms bathroom, while they were cleaning it! Very kind and understanding! The room could be updated, as our microwave/stove/vent hood. They weren’t working as good as they should, but we made it work as it was the least of our worries! Could have been slightly cleaner and cooler in the rooms. Pool was very clean and clear! All around very satisfied with our stay!

The photos listed for this property are old. When I stayed for 2 nights in May 2025, the pool was GREEN and there was mildew and some mold spots throughout our room. The staff was very friendly, but everything around the property appeared to be neglected. I know ~$100/night is cheap for a hotel in this location, but at least advertise more accurate photos.

The location wasn't bad at all, but right behind the hotel, there was some camping going on, which made me feel unsafe. The bed sheets had some stains on them, and the room was hot (ac was on the lowest that it would go). We did see some roaches in the bathroom at some point. Kitchen supplies (fridge, stove, oven) were dirty. I wouldn't stay at this property again.

1) There were BUGS!!!! 2) A/C barely worked 3) Deadbolt on door did not work 4) Refrigerator had a broken shelf and stains 5) Sand all over floor as if it was never vacuumed 6) Curtain rod broken with curtains hanging off the rod. Good location but this place needs major work!

Close to the beach, was better than expected but needs improvement

We only stayed at this property because we left the other property. However there is no pool at this property. They use it as a smoking area. This is also a place where people live and pay weekly rates so keep that in mind if you’re coming to stay, this is supposed to be a fully furnished suite however, there are no dishes no silverware nothing. also, there was no deadbolt on the door which intern we had to put the table in front of the door and somebody came knocking at our door at 3 o’clock in the morning several times scared believing crap out of my teenage daughter. Zero out of 10 would not recommend.

This place is hilarious really... They want a 100 deposit for a room with ripped rugs, broken appliances, mold, old furniture, curtains with holes, the sleeper sofa had stains, and there were roaches, the beds were super uncomfortable, the tvs barely worked, and Wi-Fi was roll of the dice. They don't supply any utensils or cooking supplies. The other guests were very sketchy and argued 1 guy even had a knife to someone's throat and the cops had to shoot him. The 1 housekeeper was nice but the Indian guy at the front desk was rude. When I complained about my fridge and stove they sent 1 of the other guests to look at it who they also paid to clean rooms, which imo is not only unprofessional but unsafe as well. It isn't the worst hotel in the area but definitely not worth the money especially if your staying a while.

As a frequent traveler on a budget, this motel is better than most. It's extremely clean, especially the bathroom. The water temp is hot, not tepid and they don't skimp on towels, like most motels. The bed was comfy and the pillows were plump and fluffy, not flat. The front desk was very professional and friendly and endured my ill temper because I was very hot and tired from a long walk in the humid temperatures. One complaint I had was the cable T.V. Lots of motels and hotels are switching to the Smart T.V.s like Roku with the Apps, since these days a 50 inch costs around $200 at Walmart. But this cable T.V. which used Cox as a provider didn't have a lot of the cable channels that were supposed to be available. This was a first for me. However, as a lone woman traveler, I felt safe. This is also a great place for families. Highly recommend.

The pictures of the motel are very misleading. As soon as we pulled into the parking lot you could tell this place had definitely seen better days when we walked into our room we were hit with a disgusting musty moldy smell and seen the mold aaround the around the

This hotel was absolutely disgusting and in horrible condition the up keep to this property is zero to none there are roaches in the kitchen all the rooms smell like mold the carpets are is horribly dirty almost hazardous condition for anyone to stay it seems housekeeping has absolutely given up in cleanliness and the sheets are so old and worn out that they aren’t white when they are supposed to be white but instead they are yellow and brown and the overtop blankets are stained and dirty and rough the walls are covered and grim dirt nasty stains and mold and water damage.

There was some pretty "rough" people staying there. The beds were not comfortable at all, my toilet clogged first time i used. Half of the tv channels didnt work.

The only thing good about this place was it was walking distance to the ocean. We had so many problems with the room. Sheets still had food on it and stains. Fridge was leaking. Bed broke. I found 2 bugs I’m praying they wasn’t roaches. The cupboards looked like they was never cleaned. I would def never go there again!

Our stay was wonderful and the staff were very friendly to us. The pool was very nice and clean and we really loved that the place was a walkable distance to the beach. Definitely recommend the place is you’re looking to save some money. However, it is a motel so do not expect a luxury stay.

The room A/C I stayed in wasn’t working. The room was super hot and humid. I had to go buy a fan for myself and plus the room had mold and it smells like cigarettes.

Management was rude , unprofessional. Place was dirty and roach filled. People were screaming and fighting everywhere . Music blasting . Babys crying. People smoking and doing drugs. Trash everywhere.

There is no heat. 46°F and the heater was blowing cold air. When I asked about it they are on a boiler system and decided to not switch it from AC to heat. 5hwir solution was to just turn off the heater and keep the doors closed. It was a cold miserable night.

One of the worst stays ever. I'm a 67 year old male and at night I get a little cold sometimes, the temperature could not be adjusted all they had was VERY cold air blowing even as I enter the room. I told the gentlemen at the desk, and it seem to not be a big deal to him, he told me to turn off the A.C. and the room would warm up, it didn't. The motel had no Ice machine or drink machine. The cable T.V. in the room had very few selections, half of the channels didn't even work. No hair dryer, had to go buy one. The people next door where smoking weed and the odor was coming into my room. Also the people next door, would come out of their room to talk on the phone LOUD in the stairwell at 2 and 3 a.m. while smoking their weed. I confronted them about it, and they said the reason they came outside to smoke and talk is because of not being able to smoke in their room. This was most definitely one of my worst stays. I would NEVER recommend this place to anyone.

The property was not as advertised. It said rated for covid cleanliness and safe. There was black mold on the walls and base boards, the rooms smelled like they were wet and musty. Should be ashamed to advertise themselves as a 3 star hotel. I woukd not even stay with my asthmatic son.

Property had roach traps in the room, broken dresser drawers, missing cabinet doors, missing burners on stove, dirty refrigerator. Staff was also rude.

Dirty place carpet and walls smell like cigarettes and mold is everywhere. Bed sheets and dirty also bathrooms not clean. Me and my wife we bought cleaning chemicals and we clean the bathroom ourselves just not to catch a disease or something. We all got sick from the mold in the room. It’s better to sleep outside on the sand but not in this place. Iam not sure why police or health department not saying anything about it!!!

The room was very dirty and not cleaned. The bathroom had other people’s trash still in the can, toothpaste spit on the faucet , the small refrigerator was filthy. The blankets and sheets were stained and looked as if they had just been pulled back. The pillows were two travel size on each bed. The ceiling was peeling and falling apart. And the walls and carpet were dirty. The door didn’t seal all the way and had no security chain to lock. We left right after check in .

Unable to contact this motel by phone to cancel my stay. i tried multiple times for three days. if this is how they run their business they won't be in business much longer. i was trying to find out in the beginning if they had somewhere we could park our boat. Never got an answer from website or anyone to answer the phone.

I rented a suite on the first floor for 10 days. The furniture and carpet in the room were very clean and appeared new. The staff especially "Al" were always available and I felt like I was one of the family there. Parking was perfect and it was easy to move things n and out of my vehicle. The price was most favorable. Although the pool was not open yet, the staff was getting ready to open it and adding new special lighting around the area. Absolute best stay for the price.
