Aqua Vista Resort Hotel

The view was great. The elevator was down 2 of the 4 days. The lamp shade was broken, the bathroom door know was broken. When asked for towels they didn't have any.

Picture of room booked had 2 double beds and couch ,on check in they said there is no rooms with a couch..(so I slept on floor) broken elevator , outlets not working , room was VERY dirty with hairballs from past guests , broken lamps, toilet flush barely working etc…. Very disappointed, this hotel is nothing close to the reviews I saw on Expedia….

I would not stay here again. The hotel is not very well maintained.

Elevator broken for more than 2 hours

This is the 2nd time that I have stayed at this hotel. Last year was great, this time it was awful. Check in was 4pm and we arrived at 8pm, the room was not ready, this was after waiting in line for 30 mins to get checked in. When I asked the front desk when it would be ready all I got was eye rolling then a room was ready. The elevator was broken so we had to take all of our things up three flights of stairs. Granted, yes things brake, but why wouldn't the hotel staff help guests with taking things up the stairs. We had to ask for towels every night and on Saturday evening they didn't have any, but after they got washed, they would bring them to us. They never did.

We waited for over 1 hour just to get a room and the manager had to go clean rooms. The sheets were stained, soap and body wash were empty, 3 people were only given 2 towels and when we asked for more we were told they were being washed and never got extra, the elevator was really slow, the front entrance hallway and elevator smelled like weed. Just all over not a great experience. Handicap room had a low toilet without any grab bars or anything to help get off of it. The TV did not work and there was stickiness on the top of the dresser like it was never even cleaned. I will not return to this hotel again due to the very poor experience. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone, ever.

Elevator did not work. Just work day we checked in , was on 5th floor. So up and down the stair trying to take stuff to beach and back up to room. 4 days with out it , and the parking is across the street. Which is fine, just make sure your parking pass is showing, evertime we tried to leave for dinner tow truck trying to snag cars blocking the way .

We requested and paid for an ocean front king suite. We recieved a city view balcony regular room. In the room there was broken furniture, bed that was far beyond replacement. No soap in the dispenser asked for more towels multiple days. Recieved none. Upon leaving one night. Saw a three inch cockroach running across the hallway. Extremely unsatisfied and will never be returning to aqua vista resorts.

The good: You can't beat the location. It's right on the boardwalk and just minutes from the pier, The hotel was mostly clean, no bugs, cold air-conditioning, comfortable beds, and hot water. These are the most important factors for me when staying at the beach. There is coffee available in the lobby. The okay: We always had a place to park. The parking lot for the Aqua Vista is about half a block west from the hotel. However, we were not there during the peak of peak season. The parking slots are really tight and I can imagine there being issues finding a space during the worst of the worst of the summer. The bad: Housekeeping is really spotty. There were a couple of days where it felt like a battle to get my trash emptied and towels changed. On one day they were not changed at all despite multiple requests. We eventually got towels delivered after being told that there were no towels and they were in the wash. Note to management: Buy more towels. Seriously! Towels shouldn't be in short supply, especially at an ocean front hotel. I will say that I think it is a luck of the draw when it comes to room quality. When we first arrived, we were given a room that didn't have the linens replaced on the beds. The room we were moved to was much nicer than the first (same category).

It was right by our fields for sand soccer. The staff was very accommodating. They allowed me to get a parking pass early, worked with the hotel beside them for overflow parking, and then called me when the room was ready (2 hours before check in). All of the staff was very friendly. The elevator took forever (not a big issue though!). The parking situation was difficult.

Clean for the most part. Staff was SUPER nice and very willing to accommodate. View was incredible. Check in and out times were super reasonable. Building has an elevator for easy floor access. Pool was very clean. Some hair in the shower and around the toilet. A few marks on the bedspread. Entertainment center was falling apart at the bottom, and you can only get in through the main lobby. There are other doors you can exit; but not reenter. I would say to use a card system and allow those doors to open from the outside.

Great place to stay, right on the beach. We actually were on the ground level and we were right next to the side door, so easy to go in and out. Staff was great, very nice and friendly. I’d come back!

We got a beach front room for 4 days and it was great priced. With that in mind, the hotel was older, and a bit run down, but still clean and pet friendly. You wouldn't know that pets were allowed there as rooms were clean, and nice, for the price we paid. If you want a good inexpensive stay, with a great view, and close to stores like 7-11, Dairy Queen, Walmart, plus a great middle area of the boardwalk, then this place has all of that. Outdoor pool was just open the day we arrived, so a bit cold, but cleaned and nice. Vending machines there in the hallways, but no breakfast. Just coffee in the lobby and pretty generic at that, but you are very close to sweet shops and places to get coffee out. We had a wonderful time and we would definitely stay again!! Our dog liked it too!

Customer service was a complete wreck. Staff “Mark” was very unprofessional. I’m a teacher and all that but the way he carried himself at the front desk was ridiculous and inappropriate. I have no intentions of staying at this hotel ever again. Rooms were nasty and out of date. Furniture was old and mattress needed to be burnt or thrown away. No closets. For close to $200 nightly. Mark would not contact the General Manager knowing that I had an issue with my room. Mark told me that he did not know what time the General Manager would be in. Keep in mind I was checking out a day early because of the issue in my room. Mark give me a business card with the office number up there knowing that the General Manager was not there. And the gmail had the wrong address up there. OMG!!!!!!!! I was just through with his prideful ways. I hope that something would be done so others will not be treating with this disrespect the way I was.

Super nice staff! They let my husband park his motorcycle onsite and gave us a 1st floor room since we had two dogs with us! We also got to check in and hour early! The hotel location is excellent. The beach is clean and right outside. Lots of shops and restaurants in walking distance.

The hotel is a bit dated, but it’s clear the staff works hard to keep the property well maintained. The beds were comfortable, the air conditioning worked great, and the pool was clean and enjoyable. The beach access was excellent and very convenient. Overall, it was a good value for the price, and I would definitely stay here again.

We were placed next door to someone who blasted the music all night until 2am both nights. There was an intense smoke smell even though we were in a non-smoking room. There was no bathtub like the description said and the room was not maintained.

Parking is a block away and only 3 spots for loading and unloading which were generally taken up by handicapped parking. We were also charged a resort fee with with no resort options. There was no open spaces for hanging out and also no onsite dinning.

There was cockroaches in the game room. As soon as you walk in your hit with the smell of weed for being a non smoking hotel the whole thing smelled of it! Asked for towels never got them til I asked again for them never got wash cloths!

Just needed a place to sleep for the night mostly. Decent price for the size but f the room. Housekeeping didn’t change the sheets on the pull-out beds and left food in the fridge from the previous guest. It was also great to find a pet friendly place too.

I would not recommend this hotel. The shower was flooding onto the bathroom floor every time we showered, zero water pressure, they didn’t have enough towels or wash clothes to give us more, it smelled terrible when we walked in our room, didn’t have WiFi, room was small and not clean, none of the staff seemed to know what was going on in the hotel or in the area on Memorial weekend and the ac literally fell apart in our room. Stay literally anywhere else imo. We would’ve gotten a room at another hotel if we hadn’t already unloaded the entire truck for the family and didn’t want to be anymore inconvenienced.

I reserved a 1 bedroom deluxe and by the time I got there they had downgraded me that day by message and still charged me the deluxe room rate of $923 while the family that was traveling with me paid $562 for the same room that they downgraded me to. They will not give me the money back for the difference. I had to take the room because I had traveled so far. The next morning I came downstairs and they told me I owed $140 more for the room that they downgraded me from even though I didn’t get it. No, I did not pay that extra fee. The rooms weren’t that clean and the staff was smoking marijuana in the supply closet next to my room.

It was very clean! Location was perfect! Staff calling our room in the middle of the night waking us to move our car. Stated that it was in a 15 minute parking zone however that was not marked. Cars next to us were still there the next morning. Also upon check in, a staff member working the desk was clearly on opiates, nodding out, could barely function. Rooms need updating. Door nob on the bathroom does not work. Phone does not work. WiFi is unreliable. Losses signal randomly. Only have one elevator which makes it very slow. Check in was slow. Amenities are poor in quality. It’s more of a motel.

I will NEVER go to this hotel again.

1) There is a nightly resort fee that I hadn't heard about (even in the off-season when the pool was closed) 2) The parking is about a half-block away (although there is temporary check-in parking on site) and 3) The room is BRIGHT in the morning! There are not darkening curtains, since there is a balcony door. I was awake a 6:00 AM! Ugh. I recommend taking a darkening eye mask if you want to sleep in!

The beach view was excellent, but the room needs more attention. The bathroom only had a shower and no bathtub, the fan didn’t work, and there was a strong marijuana smell throughout the property.

The room was clean, and the staff were friendly. However, while we paid extra money to get a beautiful view of the beach, what we got was a room at the ground floor with a balcony facing the beach. So, although we technically got a room facing the beach, it was not worth the extra money we paid for as it was the ground floor. And sadly, they said they could not shift us to some other room at the upper floors. Other than that, I think the sound of the elevator was a bit disturbing. But overall, the experience was nice.

Wonderful place to stay!!! My room was oceanfront and was very clean and comfortable and the beds were superb. The staff was excellent as well and so accommodating . The only problem was that parking was one block over from the hotel, but this did not diminish my stay at the hotel. I would definitely return back.

We had to pack up and drive home it was so bad. The clientele was loud obnoxious hanging in the hallways making sexual innuendos I did not feel safe wellbeing and the room was not in a condition to stay in

Nice large patio but….Shattered tile/glass on patio, black mold on inside of the curtains and on patio window, white stains on the bed skirt, only decaf coffee no pets but dogs walking through lobby floor, little black hairs stuck in towels, sofa bed mattress 1 inch thick

Don’t know never saw it! When we arrived, there had been a shooting just a few blocks away, and the police had the surrounding roads completely blocked off. We were not even allowed to access the area or reach the hotel property at all. I was traveling with my child, and under these circumstances, there was no safe or reasonable way for us to proceed with check-in. I attempted to resolve this by contacting both your support team and the hotel directly, but I have not received a clear or fair resolution. Instead, I have been redirected back and forth without any accountability. This was not a voluntary cancellation. We were physically prevented from reaching the hotel due to a police-enforced lockdown following a violent incident. This situation was entirely out of our control and posed a serious safety risk.

They say they have parking but no where on their website or on hotels. Com can you find out ahead that parking is a block away. I would not stay here again because of that.

The situation escalated drastically the following morning when the bathroom flooded. Water initially leaked directly through the bathroom ceiling light fixture before pouring heavily down the walls. While attempting to clean up the initial water, I slipped on the wet floor. The water flow rapidly increased, rendering the bathroom completely unusable and creating an active safety hazard.

This hotel is old and run down! I will say this though, staff members were incredibly friendly, the ocean front view was incredible! Parking was on the next block but not so bad considering so many hotels don’t have on site parking. Tons of restaurants in the area, boardwalk is right there.

There was a nice view of the beach and boardwalk. There was no closet. Nowhere to hang clothes. The cable service on the tv didn't work. Called the front desk 3 times over 2 days. Was not resolved. The room phone didn't work either. The lobby and hallways were in poor condition. Front desk didn't have enough help in the evening. Staff was pleasant but unable to get tv to work. Only solution was a new remote without batteries. Woukd NOT recommend this hotel.

The parking situation wasn’t that great. Parking was half a block away. Then it was full and had to go back to hotel to figure out if there was somewhere else for us to park. Grateful for the hotel next door that allowed us to park in their garage.

Staff was AMAZING, views were AMAZING, the location is PERFECT (shops, ice cream, henna, few bars and mini golf close by. the ONLY complaint I would have is that there is not breakfast served at the hotel. Environment is so clean and friendly, 10/10 would recommend

I will NEVER stay here again. We booked for two nights and got there late the first day, we checked out the next morning and did not stay the second night. This is NOT a 3 star hotel as advertised. The parking if off property, only a half block away, but very sketchy area with homeless/strung-out people lingering . The ONLY thing good was the view, but you can’t cover the door so sunshine’s in bright and early.

The staff was excellent and they did what they could do ! I wanted my money back but I got thru booking.com so I had to make do (I was willing to take a lost!! It was beautiful! We got an ocean view, from our balcony we could see the ocean and also the pier. The staff was so kind and welcoming. They have a lovely coffee station in the lobby and a filtered water dispenser. The water was so crisp and clean and my kids and I filled up our water bottles daily. The front desk staff was so kind and genuine. One of the gentlemen who worked on the maintenance staff, Danyel was such a joyful and kind person. He would always say hello to us and had a kind and encouraging word. It was defintely a hidden gem! They have a pool and you can walk down to the boardwalk easily. 10/10 would recommend! It would be nice if they had a breakfast station with cereal or snacks, but it’s a great deal, and the coffee station is great

Rooms are really dated. The furniture was old and scraped up.room was really dusty. The curtains don't cover the glass door to go to balcony. That was weird. People can see in your room at night with you light on from the beach and boardwalk. Maintenance was great had a microwave issue when I checked in. Maintenance was quick to respond. The front desk staff was not well trained, jesse jerome what ever his name was at check out was a idiot everything i ask i had to wait for the manager for a answer. I checked out early and went to a much better property

The bed was comfortable and staff was friendly. The pool was closed. The phone kept flashing and front desk couldn’t tell us why. Room service did not clean our room, even after we asked. Elevator took FOREVER to move. Drink machine took out money and it was not refunded. Shower head needs to be updated and shower curtain needs to be lowered.

Do not choose a first-floor room. People talk in front of the rooms day and night, and the alarm beeps constantly throughout the night. It’s very noisy and hard to sleep.

Parking is an absolute nightmare. They have a separate lot about a block away for you to park in but it doesn’t have enough capacity. They had told us we could park in the garage next door but then were extremely rude about it and at first refused to pay for the parking. Night staff is very unprofessional and rude. frig, microwave in room is great. the room was spacious and clean. having the rolling stool was good, we both have CPAPs so need stand on each side of the bed. loved the view of the beach from the room and beach access was right there. Good restaurants across the street. Toilets were too low! no rails or anything to hold on to to assist getting up. One room did not have a bar to hang up clothes on.

It is beautiful! They have nice balconies where you can overlook the ocean. We saw dolphins. The rooms are comfortable and have comfy pillows and firm beds. Bright and clean. The front desk staff is very kind and friendly. This is a hidden gem! A continental breakfast would be nice ?

The parking is terrible. You have to park across the street and the parking lot is TINY. When we came back Saturday night the parking lot was full, so we had to get permission to park in the parking garage for the hotel next door. That process was long and felt like no one knew what to do.

The reception staff were not very hospitable. First, they took a long time trying to track my reservation, even though I had made and paid for it in advance through Booking. They said there was no reservation under my name, but I insisted that they look for it. When we asked questions about the curfew, the lady was dismissive and gave rude answers. They need to work on their customer service, especially since it's a hotel.

The listing was said the room had a pool view but actually doesn't, I have to be outside of my room to see it. Also the listing doesn't say anything about the pool being closed but it was.

The room was good No gusts bathroom I saw a roaches in first floor hallway No housekeeping check room every day

It wasn’t clean, the beds made a ton of noise, the furniture & upholstery was filthy, the halls, rooms, and even balcony stunk of marijuana, the tv was slanted & couldn’t be straightened & there were not even wash cloths in the room.

Great location in the center of Virgina beach. The balcony was a a nice touch on the ocean. Staff wasn't very pleasant. The place is pretty run down but it was comfortable enough for a couple nights stay.

The ocean view Gun shots, fights not a good part of the ocean front. 8 people shot and running from the gun shots was not a vacation. Woke up two mornings in a row with flat tires on the off site parking a block from the hotel.

I booked an ocean view and didn’t receive it. Front desk said my room was dirty. And put me in another room. Very unprofessional

I am writing to formally report a serious cleanliness and sanitation issue with my recent hotel stay booked through Expedia. I stayed in the room from Friday to Sunday (Easter weekend), and upon checking the room, I discovered a used tampon left behind the microwave. In addition, the area under the beds was visibly dirty and had clearly not been properly cleaned prior to my arrival. This is extremely concerning, as it indicates that the room was not properly sanitized between guests. This created an uncomfortable and unacceptable environment during my stay, especially considering basic cleanliness standards expected from a hotel listed on your platform. I have photo evidence of the condition of the room, which I can provide upon request. I would like this matter to be taken seriously and respectfully request a refund or appropriate compensation for this experience. I also recommend that this property be reviewed to ensure proper cleaning protocols are being followed moving forward. Please let me know the next steps and how this will be resolved. Thank you for your time and attention to this matter.

Amazing I don’t see how it has two stars my room had two balconies the second one me and my partner decided to put a blanket on the floor eat our food outside near the water and watch a movie outside. I will definitely book here again. Room 704 😉 if you want the two balconies

Oh! I’m parking is offsite, not secure and it felt like our car could be broken into it any moment. And there’s a tow truck driver just sitting, waiting for you to forget to put your door tag up. The flip lock on the door was broken (part of it was missing), so it couldn’t be used for security. The balcony door didn’t have any blackout covering, which made privacy and light control impossible, although the front desk did provide a blanket as a temporary fix. Some of the furniture showed significant wear, including deep scratches, and the desk chair was noticeably stained. Additionally, each queen bed only had two pillows, which may not be enough for most people. Overall, the room felt like it needed better upkeep and attention to detail.

Perfect location in VB. Food, bars and stores everywhere! The room was a bit weird: bathroom door damaged, one of the bed frames made a clunking noise when you move around, and the water pressure in my room hardly existed. Aside from that, stay was great. Loved the friendly staff as well!

The hotel needs 100% renovation, very dirty and most of the bathroom has big cracks, smelling and not worthy to be commercialized. Below living standards. I will never recomend. And its pricy too.

Elevator was random, had to use stairs half the time. Air conditioner would not stay running. Bed liner under the sheets had a blood stain. Was okay for a single night but wouldn’t go back.

Tried several times to get a remote or tv to work and in the 3 days nothing and noone at front desk cared or seemed to make any attempts to fix it. The floor of the balcony was a safety hazard the tiles were peeled off and some were just left here and there loose. The sofa bed had springs you could feel across the whole thing and was so thin I had to stash the couch cushions within the fitted sheet so my son could get a little sleep.

My room didnt look nothing like the photos they look like on the site beds were uncomfortable the tv was cracked had lines through most channels were in Spanish and looked like and random helper tried fixing some prior issues in the room like water damages looked like someone was thrown the wall the patch work jobs were done crappy definitely needs to be updated in the rooms and you cant smoke or vape anywhere on the property or the balcony whitch sucks will not stay again .

The view stunning.. the room itself is OK better than the actual hotel. Elevator is a little rough… We were on the second floor so we took the stairs. it was kind of tricky at checkout because there is one elevator and it’s only big enough for one luggage rack. The parking is offsite, but it’s very walkable no issue. I would stay there again for a short trip to the beach.

Overall 6/10. Stunning beachfront views! Hotel could definitely use a fresh coat of paint everywhere. Very budget friendly hotel as it served its purpose. I would definitely entertain staying there again in future trips to Va. Beach. Many others hotels that are better and many others that are worse.

This is an old hotel. It requires an update. Staff are always very kind. Even though its a low rate, they charge extra for room service, which i never use. With housekeeping fee it is still very low priced. The balcony is very dirty, but besides that its a great place to stay.

The hotel was great! I will definitely come back. I should be back in the spring so I will try for this hotel when I book. Good clean room with a 5 star view. Elevator was a little slow but not a big deal. Parking lot is a little bit of a walk and would be tight if you were there when it was busy but again not that big of a deal. Thanks! I will return.

This hotel is older which is fine and for the price I didn’t expect it to be fancy but I do expect basic things to work, not break or be available and if it does happen to have someone available to fix it or have a solution in place not be told by staff that’s not my job you have to wait until the maintenance comes in at 8:00 we only have one person. Our toilet broke luckily I could fix that it was just the chain to flush it, our shower rod was broke and would not stay up so no shower curtain I needed a shower we had to be somewhere could not wait for maintenance, no blankets asked for some was told no access to housekeeping but also they don’t have any not sure what happened to them. One young girl who was working the evening shift was amazing she was super sweet and tried her best found us one blanket. The night lady was rude and disrespectful. After her telling me she don’t get paid to do xy and z I suggested taking a rod out of another room she didn’t want too but I insisted she finally did but I had to change it out myself and then she told me I had to bring the old one back down to her at the desk. Overall the place was not very clean and run down which for the price right on the beach I could of dealt with. But no excuse for poor customer service or not being able to address basic functions of the room.

We had an ocean front room on the 5th floor overlooking the boardwalk. The room was clean & the staff were very helpful. Shops & Dining within walking distance. The furniture in the room looks pretty rough, but the cost of the stay was reasonable. There is no coffee maker in rooms, but there is coffee all day in the lobby. I would stay again if opportunity arose.

Only one elevator for vistors and staff, making the waits longer than necessary. Also, there is no parking at the hotel. You have to park at a lot a few blocks away.

There were cockroaches crawling around the room and up the wall. We arrived at 11pm and checked in and went to the room to see how dirty it was. We immediately left for another hotel and they would not refund all my money after we didn’t stay. Very disgusting!

Room was clean, outdated décor. Bathroom was clean need to put plastic liner in shower. The floor gets wet and slippery when showering. The bed was comfy. Sheets were nice and clean and white. Had a pool view room which doesn’t have an outside balcony. The hallways smell terrible like weed. No coffee pot in the room. The pool is shaded all day so it’s freezing cold. Management is super friendly. Front desk depends on who is there. Housekeeping is not friendly at all! Overall not terrible. I would stay again.

I would not recommend this property day to anyone to stay at. The rooms are outdated, the service from the staff was limited, our rooms were not clean or the dirty towels taken away for three days very limited parking. The pool is old and outdated. The staff, although some were helpful, there were others who were not so helpful. I think whoever owns this franchise needs to really update a lot of the rooms and pretty much everything in the hotel. We did get a refund because our rooms were not clean for three days and we had limited service from the staff. I would never stay at this hotel again. Thank you.

Only thing good about this dump is the location. Worst thing is the parking, had to park 2 blocks away where the homeless lived. Property needs renovation, crack tiles and flooring. Pool was freezing and dirty. No breakfast, restaurant, or hot tub. Don’t waste your money!

It was nice being on the beach. There were no towel bars in the bathroom, all the doors stuck, and the elevator was very very slow. Parking was offsite, but not far away.

We were kicked out of the hotel for complaining after the front desk gave us a room key to a room occupied by 4 girls. Thank goodness they weren't in there when we got into the room. I complained how unsafe that was and used some words and someone standing at the front desk ( who encouraged me to complain because I spoke to him first) called the POLICE and made us leave. It is unreal I am a Silver member with Hotels.com and travel all the time and have never had this type of experience. I would like a refund. Obviously you are used to a poor level of cliental if your solution was to call the police. Not a hotel I want to be a guest at.

Our belcony view was breathtaking, the beds were super comfy, full size bottles of shampoo, conditioner, body wash. Staff was super friendly and helpful. Great location with tons to do.

Got the penthouse suite on a deal & it delivered on all counts! Beach views & boardwalk on demand. The room was very nicely kept, though public areas and the elevator in the hotel are a bit run down. The parking a block away isn't too bad a trip and the area nearby has food late. Friendly staff. I'd return next I'm in VA Beach.

This hotel was dirty, dingy and reeked of weed. There is only one elevator for 7 floors. Our room didnt have any of the "amenities" listed on the advertisement. The beds were broken and creeked/cracked every time you touched them. While looking for bugs (as I do at every hotel), we found used Q-Tips between the mattress and box spring. The shower didn't work on the first day. The halls are so narrow that you can't pass in them. And the parking lot had the smallest spaces known to mankind. Not to forget the overflowing dumpster that smelled of urine or the multiple drug deals that we witnessed. When we alerted the front desk of the issues, we received an "ok" and that was it. They didn't even ask how our stay was, but looking back, its probably because they knew it was going to be awful. This "resort" is nothing like the pictures or description and should be avoided at all costs!

Eddie was very nice helping with check in. Rooms and hotel in general needs repairs. Dirty floors. Smell of cannabis kept us on a high not chosen by us. Pictures online are misleading. Beach convenience was wonderful but not much else. Housekeepers acted like they didn't speak English when asked questions or highly inconvenienced. Most quests we spoke to had same fellings of hotel. Too bad because could be a wonderful place.

Super convenient to the new Atlantic Park Surf, perfect location to experience both ends of the boardwalk. Everything was walkable, from nearby 7 eleven, abc store, ice cream shops, bars and places to eat.

They give you a parking pass but you go to park and the parking is full. Luckily a guy who.ran a paid parking let me park in his lot free because he couldnt believe they did that. The people at the front are very rude and if you for extra towels or blankets, attitude is given. There was a terrible smell throughput the building.

Stayed for a week. Staff not very friendly , Outdated facility with multiple issues. Broken beds, door handles, clogged sink for the last 4 days there. Still wasn’t fixed when we left. The maintenance man knew of the issues and said the owner refuses to fix things!

Dirty outdated room. Door to balcony was very hard to open. Floor tiles in the room were cracked and dirty water coming thru them when stepped on. Bathroom towels were stained brown. Stains on the bed spread. Tried talking to staff and were all dismissive and wouldnt do anything to correct.

Whole place smells like chemicals, overnight staff is rude and dismissive, curtains don’t cover the balcony door so headlights and neon street lights shine into the room all night.

The property is run down. Parking is a block away in a parking lot that isnt monitored so random people park there and you dont have a spot. Only one elevator thars very slow. There is no breakfast as the listing states.

It was conveniently located close to all the shopping stores in the area. Was kind of noisy with the aircrafts going over but hotel was a very cool spot.

Check in was easy, parking is a block away and no security to escort you to/from the parking area. Elevator was at the back of the hotel and only had one it was slow and staff would hold it up and guests unable to use the elevator. It’s a much older building definitely needs to have some more cleaning done. The 3 parking spots at the hotel that have signs for 15 min were taken by cars there longer than 15 min, pool is small view of the beach was nice.

The hotel is old, rundown, not well kept, dirty and shabby. The tiles don’t match the furniture doesn’t match/was rusty, the chair in our room was stained, had mold and blood stains. The refrigerator didn’t work. The air conditioning unit was taped up. It was really a shanty of a hotel. I am asthmatic and I am 99% sure there is mold all throughout the hotel. The elevator had a foul stench.. the only really decent thing I could say about the place was the door to our room locked, but there was a 1 inch gap of openness out into the hallway. I rolled one of the towels and put it in front of our door so it wasn’t open to the hallway..

The elevator would stay stuck for 20 minutes. There was no where to park to unload or reload your car. There were NO I mean zero USB ports in the room.

The hotel itself was okay, but it could use some updates and another elevator. Many things at that hotel are broken or old. Most of the time was pleasant, especially during staff conversations. The location was awesome, and the balconies were great. All in all property was good and we had a good experience.

Overall the hotel was great. Very friendly staff, fast service, great location and great rates. Only complaint is parking. There is no parking on site and you have to go a block away to park and one time when we left for the day and came back, there was no parking due to minimal spots. Do recommend this hotel though!

First and foremost parking is horrible trying to check in and once checked in you have to park a block away from the hotel in some small parking lot that is EXTREMELY TIGHT. The elevator doesn’t work half the time and when it does work it is running extremely slow…like 10 mins for the elevator to come down to you on the first floor (the elevator should always be working because of people who can’t climb stairs) the hallway to the elevator/stairs are soaking wet and is a slip hazard and there are no wet floor signs down to let you know the floors are wet. The stairwells smell like stagnated dirty mop water as well as the arcade room. The arcade room also has a change exchange machine that doesn’t work so if you don’t have change forget playing any arcade game in the hotel. The beds are old, saggy and uncomfortable. I could feel a piece of metal poking thru the mattress. The shower ceiling was peeling and looked like it was beginning to mold, if you don’t jiggle the toilet handle the toilet will run non-stop, I suggest brining your own pillows because the pillows are extremely flat and caused me and my husband to have neck pain when we woke up, rooms are outdated, they say don’t smoke but the rooms smell like marijuana. I would never stay here again for any reason. Rooms are over priced like they are a resort but this is nothing like a resort.

For a place with the word "Resort" in the name, it's definitely not a resort. The price was high enough, but the only good I can say is that its good location and directly on the beach. It did had a small working outdoor pool. The front desk staff were polite enough. Now the bad : My room hadn't been swept, the bathroom toilet hadn't been cleaned, the bathroom door didn't latch. Our balcony chair broke (with my sister sitting in it) on day 1, it still hadn't been repaired when we left on day 4. We had ZERO washcloths the entire 4 day stay and when I asked a staff person for some her response was "No English". There is 1 elevator, and its very slow. Possibility because the cleaning staff would hold the elevator for themselves so that they didn't have to wait for it. I witnessed 1 staff person get off the elevator, a young girl who appeared to be her (5 year old??) child stepped in the doorway so that it wouldn't close, and stayed there until her mother got back on. Another staff member scolded us because my 8 year old grandson was dripping water on the lobby floor when he had literally just stepped out of the pool area. They have a total of 3 handicap parking spots there near the building. They didn't appear to be monitored and several times i saw cars parked there that had no handicap tag, plate, etc. All other parking is about a block away. I would definitely not recommend it, unless they dropped their price WAY down.

Old property. Relatively clean rooms. Pillows terrible. No restrooms in pool/lobby area. Had 2 vehicles but only allowed for 1 parking space. . Staff could not even recommend a parking g location. Elevator was ridiculously slow and there was only 1. All of that said, it was reasonably priced with good beach access and not a bad experience overall for 1-2 nights.

When I finally got into the room, I was shocked by the lack of cleanliness. There was a large yellow stain in the middle of the bed, and the pillowcases had what appeared to be old blood stains — completely unacceptable. The bathroom was filthy and outdated, and to top it off, the beds had sand in them, which made it feel like the room hadn’t even been properly cleaned between guests. This made me very uncomfortable and I ended up checking out early. Oh! And let’s let talk about the resort fees. This was clearly an old super 8 that was taken over and never updated or remodeled and it shows. This was not the relaxing experience I was hoping for, and I would not recommend staying here until they make major improvements in cleanliness and service.

The overall experience was one for the books…Parking- loading/unloading parking lot was not user friendly. You may miss the parking lot if you’re not careful and parking is a block away. Staff - was friendly and helpful. Lobby - wasn’t inviting and there was no first floor restroom which means you have to go to your room to use the restroom. Elevator - was not convenient and there must have been a broken sensor because ideally, it should sense if someone or something is in the doorway. I put my arm in the door to catch it because it was closing too fast for us to push the cart on the elevator and it didn’t pop back open. I had to wait longer for the elevator to come back down. We had to use the steps any time we needed to go to our room. We were on the 4th floor so beach items and all had to be carried up four flights. The staircase smelt of sewage. Room - I always look for a hotel with a pool, breakfast, good reviews and decent prices; however what was supposed to be an ocean view room was pool/parking lot view. The room was visibly clean but old. The sink needed to be finagled to stop running so we just adjusted the handle multiple ways, the shower didn’t drain so you are standing in a puddle of water in the shower. The water temperature was good but water pressure was terrible. The ventilation in the room was poor so our wet clothes didn’t dry. The air conditioning worked well. There was no where to hang wet clothes so we used the suitcase rack to store damp clothes.

We found a bedbug while checking out. The clerk told me it was a roach! They refunded me 50%. Spend the extra $ to stay at a better hotel! 1 elevator = 15min wait times.

They had one employee at the counter for check in, took us about 20 mins to check in. They have 1 elevator for all 6 floors so youll be waiting for the elevator for 20 to 30 mins at times (specifically when you are loading and unloading to come and go it makes it very difficult) There was 2 towels in our bathroom, no wash rags, or even smaller towels. The hotel is convenient to the beach but it wasnt "as nice as the picture's) of course they never are. Oh and you had to park a block away as they do not have parking at actual location!!

Been to Aqua Vista several times over the last year, always a decent stay. This time, due to the time of year and the amount of guests staying at the hotel, the elevator wait times were extremely long. Otherwise, nothing to complain about.

There is a singular elevator that is used by hotel staff and customers. The wait time was pretty insane. There’s about 4-5 entrances, only 1 being operational to go in and out of. There was 1 other that you could go out but not come in. Parking lot is the darkest crustiest thing to walk to. I’m an easy person to please but even I was pretty disappointed in how inconvenient a hotel could be.

Staff was very unpleasant and rude parking was horrible pools was filthy elevator always very delayed. There was blood on the mattress and other stains

Hotel was ok. Right on beach. Parking was a block away. But worked. Beds ok. Good for the money we paid.

Right on the boardwalk!!! Location is awesome. Not a 5 star hotel, but clean.

I wouldn’t recommend

When I checked in we went straight to the beach when I was time for bed you pulled back the sheets and they was dirty I took a picture and show the front desk worker and asked could I have some new sheets he said It wasn’t none available I asked could he check the housekeeping cart for some he said no he couldn’t housekeeping to the key with them house I was blowed away with that answer we had to go to Walmart to get sheets so we could go to bed my first and last time staying

I had doubts coming to this property due to the reviews but my family and I truly enjoyed our stay. It was clean and spacious. A lot of things are at walking distance which I loved! I would definitely recommend this place.

Reserved room with balcony and ended up on first floor. Bathroom was dirty, floor needed cleaned, asked for room to be cleaned at front desk and it never was. Last visit was a disappointment. This is where we usually stay, hopefully just an off couple of days
