I loved the pool and how close it was to everything The room smelled heavily of mildew you could see on the ceiling where it leaked bad and they tried to cover it up it took our breath away

Location and ease of walking to things we wanted to see. It was a little dated which is okay for the price we paid. However the beds were not very comfortable and the pillows flattened out as soon as you laid on one.

Rooms were clean and well maintained.

The bathroom was clean not the tub The night I checked in the door was stuck trying to get in and the smell was horrible this was the worse place I ever stayed. There had to be bugs because I was getting bit I had helps in my face I didn't take pics but no room service at all I went to the office and they were supposed to send someone never came i needed towels I had to go get it myself I go to check out and no one was in there I needed to catch my flight they finally opened up I needed my deposit back and the young man was looking at me like he saw a ghost but you took my cash real quick I would not recommend this place to no one the location was so far from the airport I had to pay 50 bucks in the Uber never again

I saved a lot of money staying here. I read the reviews, they weren’t great but accurate. The room smelled and they should get rid of the carpet. If you are looking to save $ and be a few blocks from the water this will work but bring some air freshener. Had a smell that was not pleasant

Very easy to park, nice quiet area, very near all the Ocean front restuarants, shopping and the ocean itself. Would defintely stay here again.

I rated this "good" so people understand that they are not getting a 5 star Marriott but I knew that going in. I booked here for the location and it is a 3-4 min walk to the Virginia Beach Convention Center. We went for the Royal Beach National Cheer Comp and all everyone complained about was the parking, the lack of parking or the cost of parking. We didn't have to worry about any of it. It was a basic 2 bedroom hotel but cleanliness is important to me and it felt clean. What really set them apart was the exceptional customer service. The extremely pleasant woman at the lobby counter was so helpful and anything we asked for that they had, they provided quickly and with a smile. Just a very nice experience and we are super glad we decided to stay here. Thank you!!

A lack of outlets, Bathroom outlet did not work. Rooms are dated, dingy are musty smelling The microwave was literally rusted. TV did not work, channels were pixelated or “no signal” The thinnest and cheapest towels and linens Water pressure is really strong and water temperature gets very hot but the shower desperately needs to be snaked. toilet rocks when you sit on it. They do NOT provide shampoo, conditioner, or hairdryer, only 2 little tiny bars of soap. The dresser drawers are not level therefore do not stay closed Loud planes overhead Guests smoking cigarettes on the balcony by your door. The hotel did not inform the guests that there is a 9:30 PM curfew in effect. They don’t provide “do not disturb” signs so trying to get some rest, I put a Post-it note over the slot for the key card. The note was ignored BY THE OWNER and knocked on my door at 9:15am to fix the bathroom outlet. Finally, they had to replace the tv, the microwave. The owner tried to fix the bathroom outlet himself. After over an hour of trying he had to call a licensed electrician to come the next day. They left debris all over the counter and floor from when they were taking the receptacle in and out. I requested a “do not disturb“ thru THREE employees (2 being the owners) so they would notify housekeeping. I even had a “do not disturb sign” on my door. Housekeeping still ignored it! FIND A DIFFERENT HOTEL

Disgusting blood on toilet, hair in sink, tub mat was black, huge gap under door where it was rotting away. Very unsavory people around. We had 2 children with us and it did not feel safe. We booked another hotel and left. Glad we did, rode by the next morning and the parking lot was filled with police.

Cost I asked for a first floor. They gave me a second floor, and that was more than enough room to empty on the first that they could’ve given me.

This place did not look anything like it is shown online. The smell is ridiculous in the room. Couldn’t even stay there ended up leaving and going to a new hotel. Also no refund. Hot water was like non existent as well.

The location was fantastic if you have something going on at the convention center and walking distance to food. Room was fairly clean, smelled nice, and front desk lady was very nice. Free parking and allowed us to keep our car there after checking out. Great on a budget. Not much.. definitely a little outdated and could use some interior improvements, but for what it was it was great.

It looked like the bathroom door had vomit splatter, and I was given the wrong wifi password. (I was too lazy to call down for the right one.)

I felt unsafe the minute we pulled into the parking lot, there was a strong smell of weed and the employee that was working there looked like he just got out of jail and waiting to mug us. When I asked for a refund they turned their nose at me. This place should get shut down immediately!! If you stay here you will most likely get robbed, mugged, catch a disease, bring home bugs or all of the above!

Absolutely horrendous experience. The room was filthy, with dirt everywhere, and there were bugs crawling around. It felt like the room hadn’t been opened in ages – there was a strong, musty moisture smell, and it was suffocating. The pool was disgusting, with grime all over it, and the view was a complete disaster – just trash everywhere. This place was a nightmare, and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone. Do yourself a favor and stay far, far away!!! I am extremely disappointed with Expedia’s customer service. I reached out for help during my stay at that terrible hotel, but they were unable to resolve the issues or offer any assistance. Their lack of support left me frustrated and upset, and I feel like they didn’t care about my experience at all

I stayed here multiple times and always had a problem. From the key not working, to TV not working, to literally not having a handle on the shower, to the room being dirty (hair and a used floss pick in the bathroom). I stayed because I was familiar with it and the area in relation to my trip. The lobby doesn't even open until 9am, and that's where the ice machine is.

1st we got a room in the 1st floor next to a person who had very loud music and they were smoking, the smoke was notable in the room thay we got so we asked to be changed and the lady right away made all the arrarrangements.

I was a little skeptical about this property because of all of the negative reviews. It was really nice and clean. The only issue I had was the bath mat. I went to Walmart and got some spray bleach just to make sure it was clean to my liking. Overall, everything was great. This is an older property but its been well maintained, the bathrooms could use an update.

This property left much to be desired. They take advantage of their location and spike prices, as most places do; however, they could at least vacuum carpets or offer bedding that is not burned and torn.

Great place for the price they go for. Lady at the front desk was really nice and got my room an hour before my actual check in time. Would definitely recommend to anyone not wanting to pay expensive ocean view rooms. Beach is like 15 minutes walking.

But on the ownership behalf i book my trip late and didn't wanna spend too much money on such short notice so i guess you get what you pay for..o and there room doors are not safe. Except for the bed and floor, the Front door had to be fixed; bathtub stained, tiles need to be replaced and shower curtain had some mold; leaky faucets on both sink and bathtub; the hair dryer(!) was old and broken. But -- Management was quick in fixing front door and console door; they replaced the shower curtain.

I really enjoyed my stay at Ambassadors Inn. The room was nice a the bed was comfy. Hot shower 🚿😁 and Air conditioner got the room very cool. Big refrigerator and good microwave. No breakfast though. Staff was super friendly. Close to Virginia Beach. (5 min) Drive.

Hotel was great. Pool was great. You could throw a rock across the street and hit the convention center. And 3 block walk to the beach My only complaint would be the fighter jets that are landing at the base fly right over. A they are landing so they are extra low and extra loud. But nothing against the hotel. They can’t help that.

Our room was old and dingy. There were holes in the floor under the carpet, mold by the sink, holes in the wall, and bugs.

The rooms were nice it’s just a bad area, people yelling all night long outside, sheets and towels with stains. I can’t fully complain though I know what I booked.

Towels were gross. Went and bought some from the store. Hair in bathroom tub and sink. Not vacuumed. The list could go on. My "favorite" was the hand written sign they re open at 9a while check out was 10a. I slid the keys through the door at 6a.

Value is incredible. Conditions of the room leave a lot to be desired, but it is baseline clean & the beds were comfortable.

Mohammed offered to bring me a refrigerator and a microwave and I accepted on the second day of the day. As far as I’m concerned, Mohamad gets five stars, but the rest of the place was a total dump. Not even worthy of one star.

This was a good, clean, safe hotel. Especially for the price. I was traveling alone, so feeling safe was important. They did get my reservation wrong (I reserved a non-smoking, but they put me in a smoking.) Luckily, he clarified before I got to my room, and he fixed it. I already made reservations for my next stay here.

The room & bathroom size were HUGE for the price range. However there ants crawling around the sink/vanity, there was no hot water, the drainage of the sink was horrible, and there were holes in the bathroom ceiling. The staff was friendly & helpful and the property was safe. Would use again but with lower expectations.

The room was minimal. No refrigerator, microwave on the floor. The wall with the air-conditioning flooded the floor. Ruined the luggages, clothes and shoes. Stains on the Tv and mirrors. Very bad strong oder. We were offered an nother room the next day. It was a huge improvement.

It is conveniently located near the beach. They were very accommodating. They let us do a late check out. They don’t clean your room for your stay and if you are going to the beach that is necessary.

Needs a update and clean much better shower was trash and water pressure and not clean enough in the bathroom

It was a good price in walking distance of Boardwalk. Although the cleanliness left much to be desired in my room, and there was a very odd smell (I couldn't pinpoint it) all over the place (inside my room and out). The bed unfortunately was as hard as a rock as well (in case anyone with back issues sees this).

This was the dirtiest motel. Light switches, phone, remote, doors, door handles, windows, etc. had not been wiped down for many months. Mold and dirt in tub and on walls. Molding and dirty shower curtains. Bath towels were thin and size of dish towel. Roaches in bathroom and ceiling falling.

We walked into our room to see that there was already a family checked in to the room; A FAMILY OF ROACHES!!!! We let the front desk know there were roaches in our room and the front desk offered to switch rooms but we declined. On top of that the windows were broken and being held together by tape, the white towels in the bathroom had brown stains, lights didn’t turn in properly, there was an awful smell in the room, the carpets were disgusting and TV hardly worked. The front desk gentleman was extremely pushy. He stated that there were no roaches, they were “garden bugs” and he could find us a room that didn’t have “garden bugs”. We declined again. After 5 minutes he came to our room and kept insisting on staying, my husband must have told him “No” over 10 times. He followed us all the way to the car begging us to stay and continue even after we started packing our stuff away. This place was unprofessional and it was just a bizarre encounter. Would not recommend.

Absolutely horrible! First room had NO working lights other than the bathroom. The headboard was off the wall as if there had been a conflict/fight. Not a good area. WAY too expensive for the services (none) and hospitality (none)

This hotel was the worst I've stayed in, and I've stayed in a lot of hotels and 3rd world countries. The bedding was the wrong size for the bed and wouldn't stay on mattress, horrid smell, no shampoos, broken icemaker, advertised with a restaurant but the restaurant was in fact closed, our room windows were cracked, the door lock was broken. Felt very unsafe. The outdoor stairs smelled of urine. And to top it off, we all got sick due to black mold all in the bathroom. We informed the owner and he didn't care and wouldn't compensate us. It's a dump.

The room is completely disgusting and the bathroom is like a public bathroom, the shower curtain is moldy. I made mistake by staying at this hotel. It will be my first and last. Plus the mini fridge is broken.😡😡😡

The beds were clean and comfortable and they provided ample enough of towels and washcloths. The shower leaked causing the floor to stay wet. The cleanliness needs improvement.

There was old nasty food in the sheets, black mold by the A/C vent, dirty towels in the bathroom, sink wasn't clean, and a foul odor in the room.
