The bed was the very worst ive ever slept in! Smokers everywhere outside. In a sketchy part of Venice front area was incredibly dirty. Not worth it for the price

My air conditioner worked well and was quiet but the room next door's AC was very loud.

The property was extremely clean and there were 3 stations to allow your pets to use. They were all picked up and very attractive. There are 3 smoking areas that I used, they were all clean and no butts laying around. It would be nicer if there was a picnic table at 1 of these areas. Parking was right at our door añd that was Awesome. The room was very clean and the beds were comfortable. Sheets nice and soft and the towels were large and plush. The hot was was also a plus.i like my shower hot and it sure was. I loved the Keurig machine ...another plus. Can't beat them. No carpet!!!I perfect. I have stayed at motels that charged $400 a night and this room for under $100 was much nicer. Large tv, and air conditioner kept the room at an even temp. I have a wonderful 3 day and 2 night stay

The check-in process was quick and easy. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. The rooms location was very close to the office, so the sounds of other guests was quite loud. Many of the outlets in the headboard did not function. The towels were thin, small and there weren't very many. The toiletries were low quality and the television selection was not great. Also, the walls were very thin, you could here the neighboring guests. The overnight clerk eye rolled me when I asked if he could break a $20 bill. He seemed bothered by human interaction when he didn't seem very busy otherwise. Maybe finding better quality staff who desires to help guests as opposed to family of ownership who only deign to be there would be a better option.

This Motel 6 was top notch, clean well maintained, everything looked brand new. Gentleman checking me in was nice and friendly. Would stay here again. Oh and the A/c was excellent!

The room was good, the staff was great but the bed not so good. But me n my husband was not in the room much only just it for showering n sleeping. I felt safe there n the Mexican restaurant was awesome that was next door.

Nice place to lay your weary head. Great water pressure in the shower. Hubby had a medical emergency when he was down here and the staff was so helpful until I arrived a few days later. We will definitely be back!

It's easy to make assumptions about Motel 6 locations but this particular example is being run by a family that is committed to customer service and a positive experience for their guests. This is my second time staying here, primarily because they did such a good job addressing a room problem I had on the first visit.

Sits on a main road. The over all area, Venice is nice. The property was pretty bad. The room was tiny, dirty, stained sheets and smelled like urine. This place is gross!

This is a far cry from the old seedy hotels of yesteryear; I'd even have the flooring in my house! It was also very clean and odor-free. The location is good, too, sort of in the middle of the stretch between Tampa & Naples, with plenty of nearby shopping & restaurants. There is a major car wash right next door that gets quite loud, but they don't open too early (9 am, I think) or close too late (around 5 pm or so). The motel is right on US 41, but you don't really hear traffic while in your room. The negatives are relatively minor. The shower, which has amazing pressure, is small and has a weird setup. It's in a corner with a rounded front, and the showerhead is in the front, aimed at the corner. You will be bumping things with your elbows! My bathroom was very clean and the towels a bit better than usual. The worst thing was the a/c. It worked well, even in 90° heat, but it's loud and always seemed to be too warm or too cold. Also, I had to divert the airflow at night (chair & luggage). Wait; the worst part was no coffe maker in the room. Fortunately, I'd brought my own! I would not hesitate to recommend this Motel 6 to anyone or book it myself, should the need arise.

The room was clean and had everything we needed. My husband said his side of the bed sagged toward the side and was not comfortable, but my side was fine. There were only 2 pillows on the bed, and we were glad we had one of our own from the car to use. The pool was very nice and the staff was great. The dog area was pretty small, but the rest of the grounds were nice.

Room was very clean, there was a hot water problem, however, the staff was kind and responsive. A brand new coffee-maker didn't work but they rushed another one to us. The accommodation for canines is very good! You have to learn to read their outdoor dog regulations signs in the dark however.(LOL). Will come again, soon.

I am an elderly person and was given a second floor room with a tiny shower in which I could not bend down. I should have been given a room on the first floor with a regular size shower and tub combo. I have stayed at this motel numerous times. I should have had consideration for my age and physical ability to walk up a flight of stairs.

Clean and quiet and comfy beds

After reading the positive reviews I was expecting a decent (not great) stay. Unfortunately that was not the case at least not in our room 209. The room appeared clean visually, however the room had a thick smell of (for lack of better words stale, dirty, as well as lingering old cigarette smoke). Our clothes reeked after. We requested extra pillows for the room and the person at the front desk gave us pillows that were significantly stained and said they did not have any pillow cases. There were no clean towels brought during our stay.

The staff was VERY NICE. There was an issue with the in room refrigerator. The office offered to keep our perishables in theirs and replaced ours first thing the next day. The motel was conveniently located. However, the cleanliness of the room left something to be desired.

The hotel is ran down, rooms had stained sheets and was not clean, especially the shower. You can hear everything going on outside, the gap between the front door and outside doesn’t help. The window did not lock so it didn’t feel. The prices are good but next time will pay a little more for clean and safe feeling.

A/C functioned properly and the remodeled room was a nice up grade. Hard tile floor and base boards with new Vanity, Shower and Toilet in the bath was nice. Plank flooring, new lighted headbord, platform bed with semifirm mattress slept well. Key card access made me feel secure. For the price point this Motel 6 was worth the stop.

The new modular shower felt a little cramped and it was difficult to keep water from splashing on the floor.

The room was clean for being a Motel 6 but it only had a very small area to take your dog to use the restroom. The bedding smelled on one of the beds as if it was not washed. I would not stay there again.

After checking in, I was given a room with a very dirty or stained blanket. I took photos and brought them to the office. The staff did not apologize, but did assign me a different room. The blanket in the second room was marginally better, so I stayed. The room had a strong chemical smell, but other than the blanket was clean, and the area was very quiet at night. I slept well.

Reasonable for a 2 star jotel, nothing fancy nor complaints.

The top spread had a cigarette burn in it na didn’t look clean I asks the night attendant to get me clean bedding but she never did. I had a miserable nights sleep with any blankets The entire in has trash all over the stairs and parking area A dirty place

this is a very nice motel six. The people that stay there are very polite. If you like a quiet place this is your place.

Check-in/checkout was extremely easy. The room was clean and provided everything that we needed. The teakwood shower seat was a bonus. My only complaint is that the wash cloths were thin and scratchy--but the towels are nice.

We stayed there for 1 night. Around 1 a.m the couple next door decided to create a scene of domestic violence or so. Front desk agent did her best to calm them down but they were horrible screaming, yelling and slamming doors. Unfortunately, the night was ruined.

Pleasantly surprised! Newly renovated so everything was pretty nice. It was affordable which let me stay for 2 nights and I was able to get some good rest to go back to my drive back home. I totally recommend staying here for convenience and especially price. They could clean up the grounds a bit better even though they are renovating. Thanks Motel 6!

All right for a layover for a few days.

Just an overall terrible experience. It was the least dog friendliest dog friendly motel ever. So many hidden extra fees. It takes security deposits and don't give it back because there's pet hair on the bed and not even a lot. I would not go there again.

The hotel is freshly remodeled. Everything is clean. The room has a small refrigerator, microwave and hair dryer. The bathroom is huge and the tub is almost slip proof it has handles everywhere plus a seat and wand style shower head. By the office are vending machines with soda and snacks. There is plenty parking. We only stayed the night so we did not use the pool.

Parking was easy and close to my room as I requested. Hauling luggage upstairs was difficult with an elevator, but I requested a second floor cognizant of this fact. The room was clean. I had a late check in and the receptionist was great. Everything worked just fine in my room. For the very reasonable price I paid, I was completely satisfied with my stay. I will be in this area again and I will use this motel six.

We had a wedding weekend in Venice for a family friend and arrived to our VRBO at 10pm with a 4 year old and an elderly 120lb German Shepherd. It was not even livable, it was disgusting. MOTEL 6 TO THE RESCUE!!! I couldn't fathom spending hundreds more dollars on lodging, and this was 3 minutes from the home rental... not exactly what we'd planned for our weekend away, but it was clean and comfortable. Pets stay free. It was an affordable option and the staff was very, very nice!

Paid for a premium room and got a normally room. When asked about it. They said it was unavailable and next time to book through them and we get a discount. The room smelled funny and the smoking section has a man sleeping next to it. Not family friendly.

People smoking by the pool, walkway to 2nd floor rooms, smoke kept coming through air conditioning and walking to from car someone always smoking. Rooms on side of pool was noisy from kids, some rooms with dogs barking. Should have some complete clean and paint to freshen up the room, large bathroom but shower is like a half circle and very small space. I am in athletic/trim fit and I barely had room to shower. The toilet would make noise of bubbling from time to time.

This motel 6 is located close to Venice Beach and nokomis which is great, the staff are very helpful. The rooms was clean and the pool is nice. But the rooms are too small so is the shower. the rooms was smelling moldy when we got the fist day,the property looks a bit rundown, it looks like there are people that actually live there.

I know Motel 6 has gotten a bad reputation over the years but this one was amazing! Property is clean-both inside AND out! Water pressure for shower was amazing! Check in and check out was fast and easy, and staff was very helpful for both. Area was quiet at night bed was comfortable. FREE PARKING!! Also, had plenty of outlets for two people to charge phones/other electric devices right at head level attached to the headboard. McDonald's right next door too! For sure exceeded expectations.

As soon as I opened the door to the room I saw live cockroaches and smelled mold. The parking lot looked like a homeless camp. The floor looks like it's never been cleaned. Just an overall dirty room.

First couple nights I stayed I was on the side where the car wash is and it literally sounds like a jet taking off all day. But the manager moved me to the backside when a room came available and it was great .

I like to go to the beach it worked well no problems

My only complaint is it is very noisy. I could hear the room above me walking around and people out in the parking lot were loud. Multiple people woke me at 6:30

shower doors did not close all the way thus water leaked all over bathroom floor, musty smell in room and door to the room was not sealed. You could see light outside as the gap was so large.

We were only staying for 1 night but we were given a bottom floor room and the people above us were noisy until 3 AM and then started again at 5AM. it sounded like they were moving furniture all night. It was convenient for where we needed to be the next day. the room and bathroom were clean but did have a musty smell

This is as good as any Motel 6 is going to be. Clean room, clean bathroom, everything worked, clean bed, wonderful helpful staff (special shout out to Kenny at the front office), it was a really nice stay at a budget price and when next visiting Venice Beach would love to use this place again

Mandatory cleaning whether you want it or not, no safe to store valuables, extremely bright lights all over the property at night so room is super bright at night and hard to sleep, filthy outside of property for dog walking, no privacy in room unless curtain closed, windows aren’t tinted at all and people walking by, room is noisy whenever anyone is walking by no sound proofing

I loved how quite and clean this property was and how nice all the workers were during my stay

Motel 6 is exactly what you'd expect. It's bare bones, but the price is right, and this particular location is very clean. I was looking for a property near a dog-friendly beach that allowed dogs in the room. This Motel 6 was perfect for my needs. Again, I must stress how clean the room was, also, that they have nice pool area. I recommend it for folks looking for a pet-friendly stay without frills. Beach is close and so are lots of amenities.
