Great value for the money.

Vintage like simple room was perfect for my stay. Loved the location, I walked everywhere. I think it is a mile from Venice beach, close to Publix, Goodwill, library, and Venice art center. My bathroom was small but perfect for me. Only thing I wished it had another outlet or adapter to plug in all my electronics. But it all worked out. I will return.

The only bright sides were the proximity to the beach (4 minutes away!), the shower pressure and temp, and bed was great! Upon arrival and first look at the unit, I was going to change my reservation to a different property, but chose to stay due to proximity to the beach.

The room was clean, and the bed was comfortable. The shower is more like a cruise shower (pretty small) but it was a great shower! This is a clean "mom and pop" motel and we enjoyed our cozy stay!

It was a clean room pretty basic no complaints. Establish really nice. Parking is a little tight and I never got to experience Paul but the other residents are really cool and the young guy working front desk. He is awesome. Probably the best employee they got but that’s nothing bad against other employees. He was just really helpful and nice.

Quiet little please. They had grills for you to use and a nice pool. Only downfall is Just the rooms doesn't have the chairs they show in the picture. Just 2 hard chares for a table. The shower wasn't big people friendly, had few broken blinds in the bathroom that they used toilet paper to cover up.

Would not come here again. But the employees were nice 🤔

Parking next to room awesome. Staff check-in good. Staff check- out good...bed sheets had a couple stains, but nothing major. Room was clean.

We just were doing a quick overnight while we visited friends in the area. This motel had a nice central location and was clean. Our room was a little snug in the bathroom for us, but served it's purpose.

Stayed at Island Breeze Inn—older place, but super cozy and clean. Loved how close it was to the beach and downtown Venice. Perfect spot for a relaxed, easy getaway!

I always stay here when I visit venice to dive. This time the microwave wasn't working and I really wish they would replace their pillows. It's like sleeping on concrete slabs. Otherwise it's good. Parking is sufficient, right on the main road. Clean but needs updated. Even though, I will continue to use when i dive in venice. .

The room was clean and well maintained. It has a refrigerator and microwave. I originally worried the Frig was not cool enough, but it was fine. Staff was very friendly and checking was easy. I have stayed here before and I will in the future. Very convenient location.

I hesitated about whether to write this review as I don’t want to hurt a small family owned business but ultimately decided that there are factors here they can control and people need to know what they are booking. I have stayed in my fair share of budget accommodation. I am also not fussy or a germaphobe. But I had a very hard time not getting picked out by my room for the two nights I was there. My room smelled like a keg party every time I entered. The floors felt vaguely sticky. I found hair, coins and dirt on the floors. The blanket on the bed was stained (sheets appeared clean). A hair on the towels hanging in the bathroom and in the shower drain. Random gunk stuck on the bathroom walls. I wore my flip flops in my room the whole time including in the shower. The door had only one bottom lock and I didn’t feel safe (though I’m sure the neighborhood and Venice in general are low crime). I can’t say what the pool or bbq area are like. I didn’t see them at all and wasn’t told about them at check in, but I would not have wanted to spend any time there. Anyway, I won’t go on bashing the place, as I think this paints a picture. I am fine with a very basic room, but it should not be a biohazard.

The room had an unplesant smell. The air conditioning was very noisy. No hot water, just luke warm. Parking no issue.

Parking easy just outside or near your room. Located 5min walk from main shopping and restaurant area. 15-20 min walk to the beach. Looking for budget friendly spot this is the place.

Ok place

We found our room very nice clean quiet and cute. Old style from the 50s so not flashy very restful considering so close to the road. Nice surprise was the backdoor to a padio and grill we ate lunch and it was very nice.

Location, staff, and cleanliness are good. I’d only suggest making a few modernization updates.

The only issue was the towel bar & toilet tissue holder needs grommets so that they are more secure and the closet handle needs tightening (it was so loose I couldn't get it to open). Other than that, it is a very small and clean room. We were really only there to sleep. We stayed 5 nights and slept great! No road noise either. The staff were superior to other areas we have stayed in the area.

It was a cute little place but I would not go back and pay $170 for it. The room didn’t really look like the picture.

Older but in good shape. Good bed. Clean. Stay marred by neighbor watching TV without a break all night long.

The rooms were very dirty. The bathroom was even worse. The shower had mold all around it. I didn't even take a shower because it was that bad and I even went to the store and bought some mean green and I tried so hard to get it clean enough to where I could shower but it was just a waste of time and money because I couldn't get the mold out. And then the next morning when we were leaving one of housekeepers (a man) was just standing there right in front of our room where we stayed and picked his nose for about 3 minutes. It was gross. The linens were stained and dirty. I had to go buy my own bed sheets and towels. But buying the towel was a waste of money because I couldn't get the shower clean enough to where I felt safe and comfortable enough to shower in it. It's safe to say I'll never stay here again.

This place is very old and extremely dirty. Had to clean my feet from so much dirt especially in the tiny bathroom. No vent in bath. I would never stay there again.

The room was filthy

The room is not as pictured, I think the picture is the only one like that. The room was OLD and dated. It smelled musky and bed and room felt damp! The staff that checked us in was pleasant but couldn't find him again. For the most part it was very central to all but for the cost it could be updated alot!

Quiet cozy

Staff was really nice. You could see light through both doors. So, we put paper towels in the spaces to keep out the cold and bugs. Cause it got really cold in Florida all the days we were there.

The location was wonderful and the staff was very nice. The upkeep of the hotel was unfortunately lacking and the noise around the as a lot.

Expected it to be small, but the bathroom was ridiculously small. No parking, had to park in empty lot behind building. Long term occupants took over area, hard to get in room. Staff very friendly and courteous.

It’s an old place that has been renovated somewhat. Overpriced in my opinion. But it’s December in Florida so that’s probably why. The bed was comfortable. The refrigerator was not functioning until the second of my three day stay. Housekeeping services daily were excellent.

Naren, the hotel manager, is one of the best that I have ever come across in the hospitality industry! He is truly a hidden jewel in Venice, Florida! I travel alot as a consultant and he went way beyond any of my expectations! If you are around Venice, Florida, please choose this hotel as your stay! You will not be disappointed; Naren will be your personal guardian angel!!

We checked in. It was nothing like the photos online. The room smelled strong of urine. We immediately went to the front desk and told them we were leaving. Total dump. Hotel.com did not respond when we requested a full refund. Beware!

The room was clean and quiet in this simple old-fashioned motel. Amenities like the microwave, fridge, and coffee maker were helpful. Have not tried the pool. One can walk to the centre and Walgreens is right across

Great place

Stayed here for five days while my condo was getting ready. The ONLY good thing about this place is location in downtown. This place is a dump, plain & simple. Even at occasional low prices. Rooms are filthy, and good luck with getting everything to work properly. Do you like multiple cigarette burns in your blanket, cockroaches, a dirty pool, hot water that takes 15 minutes to arrive, or maybe gang-like fights in the parking lot all night are your thing? Than this may be the place for you! How about crappy door locks, or house keeping staff that doesn't speak one word of English? Again, your dream place. The "I don’t care attitude" runs rampant through out the staff. Such a shame...

There was a hole in the back door that we had to try to fix ourselves. Towels were dirty (one had a footprint on it). It was hard to sleep because of people yelling at each other in the parking lot all night, including once when it sounded like a young lady was being assaulted. The police showed up for that one, and drove through several other nights with lights flashing. We left early, even though we had paid for another night, so we could get some sleep.

Small and fairly clean, the pictures are a bit misleading. It has more of a roadside motel vibe with old lawn chairs outside the rooms and a sitting area behind the rooms that look right into your room through the curtains that don't fully close. saw the property manager arguing with a guest he thought had been smoking in the room in the middle of the parking lot. overall it was ok for the price and a short stay but not a place I would recommend to families with kids.

It was only 1mile from the beach so it was convenient, but other than that I was not impressed. The hair dryer in our room wouldn’t work so had to go purchase one. The shower door (glass) fell off nearly broke the sink in half. When we let the main office know, they couldn’t put us in a different room and offered a shower curtain held up by clamps.

Older but updated property. Clean and good location

The place is okay, don’t expect fancy or anything. Very loudly neighbors, don’t feel very comfortable with the windows and the curtains. I was traveling alone for business and I needed something cheap and close to the Venice Community Center. It’s okay to good.

They didn’t seem too concerned with how serious this was but did refund the party that had the bugs in their room. They did not offer any other assistance. Rooms are old and in need of repair. They seem to have semi permanent tenants in some rooms. Would not recommend. Find a reputable chain hotel/motel that is nearby.

A few cosmetic updates would help allot. Very simple things in the room we’re not completed. Painting, dusting shower. Pillows very very flat. 3 flat pillows don’t make one good pillow. Saw a roach on my way out. The owners were very friendly and staff was very nice! I stayed 7 days.

The room was pretty clean, but the place was old. Updates made it okay to stay. It was one of the least expensive for that area, but once we arrived there, we knew why. Bed was a bit lumpy, but we surprisingly slept ok. Towels could have been bleached more to get stains out.

This place was nothing like the photos. There was gum on the headboard. The microwave didn't work. And there was only a lukewarm shower, after letting the water run for 15 min.

after staying the first night I found out I needed to stay an extra night for my work there. When I received my bill for the second night I was surprised to see it was over $30.00 more than the first night. I feel like I was taken advantage of and did not appreciate it at all. I won't be going there anymore.

This is a very BASIC motel. It is old but in good enough condition. The room was small but the bed comfortable, it had all the minor amenities of an upscale motel like Hilton Garden Inn (little coffee maker etc) but done on a shoe string, it was very clean and in decent condition. For convenience the location is in the middle of town with a quick drive to the beach, plus services and food all nearby. For a one night stay, it served the purpose.

The bed was comfortable, parking was convenient, staff was pleasant, and the AC worked, so it met the minimum requirements. It's an older property, however, and showing some wear.

The people next door had a major fight for hours . The front office said they would call the police and never did . The other side kept the truck running and speaking very loud. We were supposed to stay three night we only stayed 2 . I did not feel comfortable in that motel the manger would not refund us the 3rd night.

Rooms need improvement. Very dark and need deep cleaning.

Apart from that, this family owned Inn is well maintained, and the staff was quick to respond to and fix our concerns. Also, the pool and the area around it were very clean and a nice spot to relax in, after a day at the beach or thrifting nearby. Publix is a 5 minute walk across the street. The BurgerBrew in the Publix plaza has very good food with a sports bar setting.

PERFECT! Young man who checked us in was delightful and attentive. Charming room, very clean. Unbelievable value for the money. HIGHLY RECOMMEND if you prefer a privately owned, affordable stay.

It was nothing like the photos. It's old and run down, but very clean. People were friendly. The bathroom was updated and adorable. Sadly pool closes at dusk which because of the time change is 5:30p.m.!!! It was quite noisy until 2a.m. on Saturday night. No wifi either!! But, it is what it is for the price it was o.k. for 2 nights! Bring your own pillows and blankets....

The young man at the desk was extremely polite and nice he should get a 10 Star . I would of given 5 stars but the towels and bedding were nasty looking so i brought my travel pillow and the two travel blankets in from my car and slept on them i learned to spray the bed with alcohol and it will be safe to sleep on when you travel ANYWHERE. Since i travel i carry disinfectant wipes and a spray bottle and alcohol just to be extra safe. I also used my own towels. Unless of course the linen looks clean. A shame to spend that kinda money and not have it safe & clean ya know. Ty Ohh its very good location for nokomis and venice downtown/beach. Pool was very clean but i only slept - came in late left early morning. A chain link fence would feel safer -had a high wooden fence could be prime area for problems- seeing the kind of people id seen in the area.

Clean and easy access to places!!

Needed a place to stay just over night so the place was okay for that. Wouldn’t spend any length of time there. Walls are paper thin so heard every word of the people next door fighting and curing each other out.

Upon our arrival, we first noticed that it was not a queen bed which we reserved. The sheets had sand on them under the covers which made us feel that they were used. Under the sheet was a cloth protector which has heavily stained. We had 2 towels hanging in the bathroom and one of them looked like someone had already dried their hands on it. We asked for new towels and a blanket because we didn’t have that either. The towels they brought us had brown stains on them. The AC worked great but that was the ONLY plus to the stay. The room was not as described and VERY VERY small. We would never stay here again and DO NOT recommend anyone to stay here.

The owners where nice but we herd fighting first night there. Im guessing room 23. Alot of drunk people walking around here the night we stayed.

Ccute place near town with cheap prices

The hotel was clean but the cold water in sink did not work properly. The bed was comfortable and room was quaint but we found Pine needles underneath the sheets. Close to historic downtown area but not walkable to it. A good stay for the money I suppose but pretty basic.

The bed was a very old mattress with no cover! The air conditioner was a very small room unit! And the water in the restroom came out slowly on purpose. Also the microwave was the smallest out there and the TV was 19 inches high on the wall. Trust me, not worth the stay! I went to a different place.

The owner greeted us was very pleasant and helpful with surrounding places to go and see. The room was well kept. Bathroom remodeled new very nice. Only problem not enough outlets in the room. Didn't have any problems with bugs. Neighbors were respectful. Nice pool area but small. Great place to stay for cheap in Venice on the main drag just miles from the beach. I would stay there again.

Looks like property and building hasn't been upgraded since the 70’s. Took forever to get not water from shower and sink. Wi-Fi didn’t work.

The room had security issues that were reported to management without resolve. Main room window would not latch due to a broken latch, see photo, so essentially the room could be entered through the window. Bathroom window was closed shut by a brick, see photo. Room smelt like cannabis from someone most likely smoking outside. We asked to changed rooms and management responded with there are no rooms available.

The bathroom was too small. No outlet on wall. Bed not comfortable.

I believe it was family owned. Everyone from Check-in to check out was very friendly and accommodating. Due to my business obligations, I needed to Check-in early. I also needed a parking spot big enough to park a 16 foot trailer. They gave me a no worries, no problem attitude and accommodated all my needs.

Pictures of property are not indicative of the actual condition and appearance of the hotel. Extension cords are run everywhere, the fan in the room didn’t work, and there is quite a bit of traffic making noise coming and out at all hours of the night that at the very least give the impression of some shady activities going on

It has been in Venice for years and I knew going in that it was very old Florida. But patio looks like its never given any attention to. Housekeeping came in and just took out the trash. Didn't make bed, but that's not an issue for me. A clean set of towels would have been nice to replace the ones I used though.

Great stay

Bed linen was musty and made my skin itch. I ended up sleeping clothed, on top of the bed. Was dirt cheap so I guess the common theme is dirt. Venice is a beautiful area, though.

Housekeeper stole my wallet while I was gone, then "found" it and returned it to me later, only after the owner demanded I give her a reward, which I did. He then proceeded to ask, "What about me?" and ran out and stood in front of my car, preventing me from leaving until I lowered my window to speak with him. Since I wasn't willing to give him any more money, he asked if I would at least leave him a positive review. I told him I would so he would step away from my vehicle.

The rooms are not big and the bathroom is small, but you can walk to downtown Venice.

This place is so run down and filthy that we had to leave- we could not stay there. We found cockroaches in the bathroom, the doors had holes in them, the grounds outside were unkempt. Horrible place. Obviously the owner does not care about customers and has no pride of ownership to fix this place up.

I did not end up completing my stay here. We checked in around 2:55. The room was definitely not as pictured or described on the website. It could not have been larger than 10’x10’ square. The tiny bathroom had a tiny toilet that was pretty tight. We figured it was one night and we could make it through. We freshened up before taking a walk and going out for the evening. We arrived back to the room around 9 ready to call it a night. When we pulled the bed down to go to sleep there was a black crawling bug. That was enough for my wife and we decided we would not risk spending the night in that room. She squashed the bug as I went to the desk informing them we would not be staying through the night! We asked for a return of our booking, and of course was told that it was third party so unable to refund!! We elected to make the 2 hour drive back home even as tired as we were.

The bed was awful. Soft wells on either side and thank goodness a lumpy firmer spot in the middle of the bed. Horrible linens. No lamps (they did bring when requested). Literally 12" between the front of the toilet seat and the wall. The shower was fine. Threadbare towels. No clock, no tissues, no cup for mouth rinsing, no place to put toiletries. Air conditioner sounded like a big garbage truck going through it's gears. Owner was accommodating, but motel was terrible. Never did find the pool. Looked nothing like pictures.

Window unit a/c noisy Reasonable cost

I am sure that this was a fine motel in the time. While they have attempted to upgrade, the a/c is so loud sleeping is not possible. The bath tile is great but the bath is so small. The bed seemed soft but was OK. If you are passing though or planning to spend little time here during your visit, the place is OK but if you need a respite, look elsewhere.

Do not stay here. Water bugs on wall and in mini fridge. Blanket worn out. Sheets questionable. No dresser to put clothes in. Way over priced. We were told at check-in that we should have called them for a lower price. Our next door neighbor said they did just that and were given a higher price. Their sheets had been slept in by others.

Someone must be studying mold growth because the amount of black mold on the tiles in the bathroom is enough for an entire university to have samples. Seems it’s acceptable for everyone to sit out front of their room with a loud speaker jamming some tunes. Wouldn’t be bad if everyone didn’t want to listen to their own tunes right next to each other. The AC pretends to work. But really it’s just moist and warm in the room. Perfect incubator for the black mold.

They need to spend some money and improve furniture, fixtures, and paint. It was clean, so cuddos to the housekeeper

This motel is perfectly located, albeit fairly old and dated. No water pressure. Very tiny rooms. Old cigarette buts in ashtray at room entrance. With being said, the staff were very nice and fullfilled all of our requests.

I actually was disappointed in the size and furnishings in the room. The photo I saw on line led me to believe we would have more space than we actually had. Still, the room was clean and the Inn conveniente to Historic Venice Downtown.

Room was basic, no tissues. Bed was horrible. One side was broken you slept in a dip. Pool was under construction so no available.

It wasn’t much better. It seemed to have new roll vinyl on the floor and the bathroom had been updated with a new shower, sink, toilet and faucets. The room was still truly dreadful. The bed was awful and the pillows were hard as rocks. The bedding was all polyester, the room smelled of mildew. There was only one floor lamp. The furniture looked like it came from Goodwill. The photos on the hotel’s website tell an entirely different story and in my opinion they are guilty of bait and switch. I would rather sleep in my car than in one of these rooms.

Property was older and in need of updating. Room heater was marginal and difficult to adjust. Electrical system was dated and needed to be redone. Room was clean and the clerk at check in was helpful. Good reasonable place to stay for a short time.

Best Rates & Satisfactory Inn Close To Downtown Venice & Beaches…Definitely A Cut Above Most Other Motels & Hotels Without The PREMIUM COST…TU!

Property is being renovated and our room was OK, however most of the property looks like people live there. Linens are in need of replacement, however, the bed was very comfortable and the furnishings of the room were newish. It's obvious the family running it is trying very hard and I wish them the best. We had stayed at a sister property a couple years ago (which was also under renovation) but was definitely better kept. They were very friendly and I wish I could give them a better review but would really have appreciated a more informative review before we booked the room.

Service was great! My room had an odd smell, and the bed was old and not the most comfortable I have slept on, but it was OK. I will be back again.

The place is a disgrace and we are surprised it’s allowed to stay open. For almost $200 a night it was disgusting. Filthy bathroom old stained linens and a trailer with the hotels trash in it parked in front of our room for night number two. Dirty and disgusting.

I visit SW Florida for business every December-January and I never fail to include this hidden gem on my itinerary. The location cannot be better and yet it’s affordable, well-appointed, with a friendly and accommodating staff and ownership. I’ll happily stay here every winter on my way to Naples, FL.

Totally run down, dirty towels, room needed deep cleaning and looks nothing like the picture. Great job of photo shopping. I will not stay there again.

We found this to be pretty dirty inside the room. Our main overhead light didn’t work and the towels and sheets had stains so it just had a grimy feel. I think a deep clean is needed because it was very dirty in all cracks and crevices and there were mystery splatters on a few walls. It was also very loud at night with people talking outside our room. Wouldn’t stay here again. Pool was nice and warm but small. The employees seemed nice but I’d rather have them be mean and stay in a clean hotel.
