Room was clean and comfy. Pool area was nice, but lounge chairs have seen better days. Breakfast was good, but I’d love it if they brought bacon back.

Very friendly staff at this hotel - super nice. And the breakfast was surprisingly great. I typically pass up the included breakfast at hotels because they look and taste like Frankenfood. This hotel had homemade oatmeal (not instant), hard boiled eggs in the shell (not the slimy ones), lots of fruit options, real biscuits (with sausage patties and even gravy) along with scrambled eggs and typical cereals/waffles/yogurt/toast. Very nice. Friendly and clean. Great stay! Thanks to Tiffany Smiley and the team!

This room was fantastic. Roomy, clean and perfect. The only negative comment in the pillow out bed/sofa was very uncomfortable . The staff were wonderful. I loved that there were movie channels included. Also, the safety the front desk provided at night while going out front is exceptional. Breakfast was appreciated and very good. Overall it was an excellent stay and I will look to stay at this hotel chain again. Thank you.

I couldn’t sleep with all of that going on so I hit the beach early, I had a long road ahead of so I figured I get back to the hotel around 9, to try to get some rest, nope, this family was still struggling with this child, Cora was the little girls name, over and over, “ Cora baby this and Cora baby that”, worst stay ever… Hotel was nice though.,pool is very small and fills up quick.

Linda checked us in and was absolutely amazing! Honestly, all of the staff is great! The surrounding area is kind of away from everything but a 10 min drove to the beach. Laundry is inexpensive which was great. Breakfast was good!

FOR breakfast, the toaster is really OLD- takes forever- just get a 4-6 slice toaster that does bagels- so much easier. Food was fine for a quick breakfast. Towels at the pool are hand towels- so small. Other than that- pretty reasonable. Oh, and make sure you put towels on the floor or your shower will leak all over the bathroom floor.

One of the highlights of our trip was starting the Legacy Trail right from the hotel. It made the experience incredibly convenient, and the ride itself was absolutely spectacular,peaceful, scenic, and unforgettable. The hotel provided everything we needed for a comfortable and enjoyable stay, and the positive energy of the team made all the difference. We would definitely come back and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Venice!

I went to the front desk to ask for a room change, and was told none were available. Feeling let down, we went back to our room, ready to just try to make the best of it. Then, around 1 a.m., I got a call saying there were two other rooms available. I got dressed and went with the staff member, but after seeing one suite with a “pool view,” he said it wasn’t the right one. Then the next room was a king bed only, even though I had booked for four people. Honestly, I think this hotel should consider dropping “Bayside” from its name—it’s misleading. The location is okay, about a mile from the water, but there’s no real view from the rooms. At the very least, they could offer these blocked-view rooms at a lower price for families on vacation. Instead, the combination of unavailable rooms, late calls, and poor staff handling really ruined our trip.

Everything but the breakfast was fantastic. The water in this area tastes like the ocean, making the coffee tastes not the best and they really have to figure out their waffle batter.

My experience at this hotel was magnificent. I made the reservation while on my way to Sarasota; in fact, we arrived late for check-in—an hour past the scheduled time—as we were traveling from Miami. This turned out to be no inconvenience at all, even though we had been worried about the delay. Upon our arrival, however, we were treated exceptionally well; the front desk staff were very efficient and incredibly friendly. The room was spotless and very cozy. Everything worked perfectly. The pool area was incredibly relaxing, featuring cool water, a Jacuzzi, towels, and comfortable seating—everything needed for perfect relaxation. The continental breakfast was varied and very well prepared—absolutely delicious. The staff remained attentive at all times. Without a doubt, I would choose this hotel again for my next wild adventures; we left wishing we could stay longer!

Room was pretty clean. Staff was kind. It is basic basic. Our window curtain was broke so didn’t get much sunlight in the room. Pillows were HORRIBLE. I called them cotton balls. Bed was not that comfy.

A great 5 night stay! The check in was quick and easy. The rooms were cleaned every day. The breakfast buffet was very good with something different each day for the hot breakfast. Location was convenient to downtown old Venice, walking trails, spring training in North Point, restaurants and even a trip north to the Ringling Art Museum and Howard Circus Museum. Great place.

The staff was incredibly helpful and kind. The hotel was so nice and clean. The kitchen had everything we needed. The breakfast was great. The hot tub was hot, and the pool was warm, even though it was cool out! We had a great stay and would definitely recommend this hotel to others!

Clean, courteous, convenient, free and abundant parking, centrally located, good quality free breakfast, comfortable beds, heated pool and hot tub. Not very walkable, there is a park and restaurant walkable but the beaches and downtown areas are just 10 minutes away by car. We really enjoyed it. If you are looking to walk to the beach this is not the hotel for you.

This was by far the most beautifully decorated and comfortable hotel we have ever stayed at. We had the king suite. Would recommend it to anyone who needs a little extra space. It was so nice to have a separate bedroom so my husband could watch TV in the living area After I went to bed.

Apparently they get paid by the room and they pushed us out of the room “because they needed to leave”even though the manager of the hotel had given us till 11:30 to check out. Honestly the only bad thing about the hotel I can point out. Everyone else except this two janitors were exceptional. They left such a bad taste in my mouth that I would probably never return!

Upon check in we were kindly greeted by the front desk gal. She got us checked in right away, and answered all questions we had. Throughout our stay staff was excellent (approachable, friendly, and ready to help). We stayed in a Queen double suite and it blew me away- for the extra it is WORTH IT. Honestly comparable to an air bnb. Queen sofa pull out, kitchenette fully stocked with soap, a sponge, dishwasher and cleaner, and all the dishes/pots and pans you would need for a small family or couple. The beds are in a seperate room. Lots of storage for your items. We LOVED our stay!

Bed was comfortable. The new refrigerator was broken forcing us to move to another room where the refrigerator worked but the new dishwasher did not. Very rude front desk worker blames the new non working appliances on prior guests not informing them. Disappointing.

Construction seems to be taking a long time! The gym was not operational, and an elevator was out of order.

We stayed in a suite which was very spacious. Nice pool and hot tub. Half of the property was being renovated which made getting to and from room difficult but I expect that will be completed soon.

Very clean and comfy room. I’m very picky especially when traveling with my kids as I know they will touch everything and be all over the ground. The staff were very friendly and accommodating if we needed anything. Very short drive to the beaches and many places close by to eat. I would absolutely recommend to someone and plan on staying there when we vacation in the area.

This is the place for you if you want to smell what I can best describe as the lumber and paint department in Home Depot. Soon as you set foot in the lobby you'll start to cough, sneeze, and have eyes watering. As you walk to the elevator you'll see what looks like Dexter's kill room with tarps hanging up sloppy not keeping a thing from contaminating the rest of lobby and you will have to pass this EVERYTIME you use elevator. The rooms were actually very nice and spacious. Our favorite part was the smell of cut drywall and wood as well as smelling paint fumes every day in the room. We would have to go outside from time to time to give our sinuses a break, and there you'll be greeted with a shady unsafe area, complemented with guests drinking out the back of pickup trucks, as well as freak shows sleeping in cars and mindless people walking around property. Don't let little Billy walk alone!! Breakfast?! Do NOT believe the reviews about this hotel having a great breakfast. It was horrible. But, good luck actually getting anything because you'll be having to deal with this hotel actually letting all the ILLEGAL IMMIGRANTS they hired for construction go use the lobby and eat breakfast. DO NOT BOOK THIS PLACE!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We didn’t eat breakfast at the hotel. But it was very close to many great restaurants. We enjoyed Anita’s Restaurant for Breakfast 2 mornings and had dinner reservations at Rosebud’s Sunday evening. Food was great and Carrot Cake was Delicious!!! If we ever stay in this area again we would stay here again…..

Hotel has mold. The new rehab is partially done. My room had 2 ceiling stains. The bedding has not been washed in a very long time. We started coughing and having sinus issues on the second day we stayed. Also the other guests were coughing and having sinus issues. Once we left our symptoms have gotten better.

Really a beautiful property

All the toilets are very low, like you’re sitting on a foot stool. No handicap rooms. We were near the ice machine on the inside and the noisy spa motor outside our window which runs until 10 pm every night.

Bathroom floor and shower floor all one level, so shower water got bathroom floor wet. Bathroom floor covered with hair. Bedroom curtain was only sheers, could not close drapes. (This was ground floor.) Bed mattress/springs broken down. Carpeting very shabby

Ground floor, kitchen and hallways have been renovated, unfortunately the rooms have not. Our room was in desperate need of upgrade. Mold on windows and on most bathroom surfaces. Tub stained. AC and fridge are very old and are very loud. Hard to sleep with them going all night. Would not stay there again despite great location.

Breakfast was as many similar places carb heavy and I’d have liked more fruit choice. Only single use plastic cutlery which was disappointing and a clear commitment to recycling and reducing plastic use would be good. Bed was comfy and I think a super King size

The property is on Robert's bay but it does not take advantage of this because several large containers are stored on the property.

Can the front desk manager was lovely very courteous unfortunately the hotel is under construction and we were not informed about that. We did stay in one of the upgraded rooms. Only complaint we have about the room is the bedding getting and offers undersized pillows, which are placed inside regular sized pillowcases They are very uncomfortable and also they don’t fill out the pillowcase so it’s very difficult to stack them to watch TV and sleep on them. Also, the fitness center is not even large enough to fit two people and there’s no area to stretch. I believe that if you’re going to Publicize a fitness center it needs to be just that.

We stayed here due to the hurricane damage on our house. There were several families in the same boat, which was calming to know we were not alone. The hotel was clean and convenient, and having the pool was great to cool off after working all day. They have free bottled water available in a cooler in the lobby - yay! The rooms were quiet and the breakfast was a nice start to the long days. We would definately stay here again.

The blackout curtains did not close tightly. The security light in the parking lot showed through exactly on to the headboard.... not really able to sleep well.

My stay was wonderful. All of the staff was extremely helpful and pleasant. My one complaint is using hotel.com. They butchered my last name causing the hotel to indicate I did not have a reservation. I could not get through to anyone to resolve this. Fortunately I noticed the crazy miss-spelling on my receipt and the property found my reservation. The front desk was super helpful and also tried calling hotels.com but could not get through either. How about using a real help desk to resolve situations!

Kenny at the front desk was so wonderful! The entire staff was. I had interactions with a groundsman, a wonderful house keeper, and sweet lady working breakfast- all so incredibly kind and accomodating!! I stayed with my three young children for three nights and we will definitely stay here on our next trip. Clean, quiet, and couldn't ask for more for a simple beach trip!

We were put next to a family of 7 in one room. 5 children. It was very noisy and when we let the front desk know, she replied with “noted”. I wish we would have been offered to switch rooms!
