Reviews

The property is definitely outdated and looks like an old apartment complex. The 4 rooms I entered because it was a softball team were all interesting to say the least. My room in the B building smelled like dirt and fried food my bathroom was not clean. The toilet had dried pee on the seat in numerous spots. Another room I went into near the front desk smelled of mildew or mold. And 2 other rooms in the b building smelled of musty dirt smell. I love Quality Inns but this by far was my least favorite. Breakfast was slim picking I was there sunday morning at 830am and gravy was already out for the biscuits and gravy. Scrambled eggs were full of water. The muffins were dried and slim pickings. There just wasn't enough to even attempt to eat. I went down the road for breakfast. Highly disappointed.

This hotel is very unsafe for a single women to stay. I was very uncomfortable immediately upon arrival - I have stayed at less than stellar hotels before but have never experienced such an unsafe environment. The person at the front desk tried to say that the hotel was safe and in the same breath said there was a recent car break in. The lobby smelled bad, people were walking around half naked, people were camped out in their cars acting extremely suspicious. I was made to feel very awkward and uneasy when I explained that I had actually meant to book the Quality Inn north of the city where it was safer and he refused to refund me. Expedia reached out and he still refused. I chose to leave and continue my already 7 hour drive to get home that night, which meant I had to drive another 5 hours. I would have easily stayed at the other location but both Expedia and this hotel were unfriendly, didn’t care about the safety of their guests, and essentially stole from. I will NEVER stay at a Quality Inn or book through Expedia because of this.

Ive continued to stay at this hotel for a couple main reasons, one I like their outdoor swimming pool area & also the check out time at noon is a huge plus. Friendly staff always helpful. I like the economy rooms they're the best I think cuz there's spacious room & full kitchen
- 3/5
Definitely older and could use some updates but was clean and spacious. Nice fridge and microwave in the room. Very basic breakfast. Convenient location.
- 4/5
The location (for my need), hot breakfast, and affordability. The hot breakfast offered were the same all throughout our stay; sausage, scrambled eggs, biscuits with gravy, and waffles.

The bed was excellent, very comfortable and the linens were very nice. Slept very well. The hot water was scalding so the temperature needs to be turned down! Also, the bathroom sink was plugged up. We went to have breakfast at 8:50 on Sunday and everything was gone except waffles so had to wait for the rest in courses. Staff wasn't smily nor very friendly. Collected the info they needed and that was all. It was a quiet location and close to a grocery store and restaurants. Parking was good and secure. It was a convenient place to stay especially if you need a place with a kitchen and work area.

This was the worst hotel we have ever stayed in hands down. The beds were so bad, I had to sleep in a chair. I called the front desk and asked if I could try another room and he said he would bring me a key. I waited 45 minutes for him. This was at 1:00 A.M. mind you. He never came. I called again and asked him where he was? He said I would have to come to the office to get the room key. I then got it and the beds were the same and the A/C did not work in this room. I then called him for a roll-away bed and he told me he would bring one. It was an hour later before he did. That bed was springs with a sheet over the springs. Insane! When he brought the bed, he would only look up at me in the corner of his eye and he was like something straight out of a Stephen King movie! I then called him and told him I would just have to sleep in the chair. It was now 3:00 A.M. He said he would bring me an extra blanket and a pillow. I waited 30 minutes and he never came. I called him again and asked him, "You said you were going to bring me a blanket and a pillow?" and he said, "Well, I guess I can do that". I literally thought I was in the Twilight Zone. Egor finally brought me my pillow and blanket as he handed them to me bent over and looking at me again through the corner of his eye. I literally thought I was on the set of Young Frankenstein. We immediately called Expedia and got a refund for the rest of the week. Stay clear of this hotel. It's a nightmare...

Smell in building and rooms
- 2/5
The front desk person, when we checked in, was very cold and unfriendly like he hated being there. We reserved an efficiency queen room and it wasn’t a queen bed, it was a double. The bed and pillows were so uncomfortable, I woke up with a lot of neck pain. The room was nice and roomy but the sink was dirty with a bunch of dark gray debris that was smelly. The room had a very strong odor of spices that did not lighten up even with the balcony left open to air it out. Don’t stay here if you need a good nights rest.

Our room smelled like musty mildew. My daughter had an asthma attack and we had to sleep with all the windows open.

We really enjoyed our stay here from the clean and well kept property and room to the daily breakfast always ready neat and clean. All of the friendly staff always helping with a smile.
- 5/5
Clean room, cleaning staff always keep the room clean, respect our privacy and very friendly. Front desk employees very helpful and adjusted to my situation. Breakfast always enough for the guests and always warm. Thank you!
- 3/5
When we arrived, the hallway smelled heavily of ammonia or a cat box. It caught us all off guard. Then upon entering our room, it was stronger inside the room. We went to Fred Meyer and got some air fresheners. It was late and I had a tournament the next morning. The breakfast was mediocre but edible. I’ve stayed there before and the room before smelled like wet dog. I feel as if the rooms aren’t being cleaned properly after animals stay.

- 3/5
Honestly- not sure how this place gets a 10/10… would rate a 5/10 at best. Stayed there 2 nights end of December in the main building, 2nd floor, booking a room that had a kitchen. My room smelled of old carpet and wet dog. The paint on the walls was peeling and visibly dirty. You can tell there is an attempt to keep the bathroom and linens clean. The property is very aged and needs desperately updating. The kitchen was supposed to be stocked with cooking supplies and utensils- it was not complete and the 2 small pots supplied looked like they were nonstick, scratched to hell, pots from the 90s. expected more for the price per night…only things going for this place was that the location was convenient for a nearby tournament and the staff was friendly and helpful. If you have low expectations and want a meh hotel- this is your place. I personally will book elsewhere.

The room was clean but smelled bad. The picture gives it a little to much justice. An older facility.
- 3/5
Carpets need to be cleaned & shampooed. Very dirty.
- 1/5
Rooms had stained matresses and dirty smelly pillows
- 3/5
Room was okay. Got charged an additional 100 at check in and my room was put outside the receptionist and would only hear welcome in! Tried getting it changed but wouldn’t allow.
- 3/5
The staff at check in was very courteous and helpful. The room was large and clean. The mattress needs an update: stained and very saggy. The towels were clean but thin. The breakfast was what you would expect for free. Standard waffle maker, bread, cereal. The scrambled eggs looked like the day before eggs. Juice dispenser was broken so there were jugs of heavily watered down apple and orange juice. Again, okay. Nothing really bad, but just okay.
- 5/5
Extremely easy check in and friendly staff especially since it was on Thanksgiving day. Great choices for breakfast including two waffle makers instead of just one
- 4/5
Hotel is getting run down. No water for breakfast. Gym closed down. No elevator. Does have lots of grass for pets to exercise on. Some rooms have kitchenettes which is handy.
- 3/5
It was a nice room as far as space and amenities. The hairdryer burned up with no replacement and the room smelled like mold.

Room- terrible awful horrible smell, had to leave after 20 min of trying to make it work. Second room was just as awful. Don't recommend rooms in first hallway next to main entrance

JUST SAY NO and move on to a different hotel -- "Quality" is not just a misnomer, it's a flat out lie -- this hotel DOES NOT HAVE AN ELEVATOR!!! Everything else about the hotel was fine, but for this reason alone, the experience was a complete and epic FAIL!! This is also likely an ADA violation. Also, front desk guy was cordial but couldn't care less that we had to haul heavy bags up a flight and a half of stairs. Further, when my phone completely died and I phoned the front desk to request a wake-up call, nobody even picked up the phone!! Finally, they wouldn't even provide receipts on check-out, which is ridiculous! As long as I live and breathe I will NEVER ever book with "Quality" hotels again!!

Got the room on short notice because it was cheap and had decent ratings. I don't know how many Quality Inn Employees have been padding the reviews, but this is definitely a 2.5 of 5.0 hotel on a good day. Breakfast was pretty bad. Reconstituted scrambled eggs probably recycled from the day before. Accidentally left a $700 pair of eyeglasses in the room. Contacted them the next day and was told they had found them Asked them how to get them sent back. Was referred to the manager, Will. Left messages for him that were not returned. Finally reached him and was told that they had them and would send them back. He emailed me a credit card authorization form to cover the cost of shipping. Blanket authorization to charge whatever they felt like charging. Filled it out anyways, emailed it back and heard nothing for three days. Called again tonight, talked with Will and was promised they would get sent back tomorrow. I'll update this review if and when I get those glasses sent back, but for now, if you're looking for a room in the Vancouver, WA area, pay the extra $50 or whatever.
- 3/5
None of the staff was very friendly or welcoming. They all seemed like they didn’t like working there. They seemed annoyed when guests asked about breakfast items being out. The hottub is supposed to open at 8am but when we went out after 9am it was pretty cool. They people already outside in it said they went to ask the front desk to turn it on and the guy at the desk said he didn't know how. There was a lot of noise from kids running down the hallway that we heard/ felt. You could also hear pretty clearly people talking who were walking by our door.
- 5/5
Love the conveint location... Great staff...
- 4/5
The only downside was that I couldn’t locate an elevator and had to take a large suitcase up a flight of stairs. Had I been aware, I would have requested a ground floor room.

I was primarily interested in using the hot tub and sauna advertised, but those plans ended poorly. I went out to the pool around 8:30 at night. There was a man and woman already in this large hot tub, drinking beer and chatting. I didn't think anything of it and got in and found a seat at the opposite end. I include this story as part of the review because I heard the woman talking about how she worked at the hotel and liked using the pool after work. After a few minutes they started making out, not that big of a deal to me, but then I heard moaning and looked over to see her on her back in the hot tub, gripping his back while the guy had his hands between her legs. I felt uncomfortable and decided to grab my things and started leaving and heard this woman yelling something about me being rude for not waiting my turn to use the hot tub. Um, it's a public area that I paid to use. The front desk staff was attentive when I told them people were being inappropriate in the hot tub and he went out to address it, but I obviously didn't stick around to see the aftermath.
- 3/5
The property was as to be expected. The fact that my plans changes withing 24 hours of making the three night reservation causing me to need only two nights but the property refused to allow a one night refund was completely undesirable and for that I will not book Quality Inn again for any trip. This is purely poor customer service.
- 5/5
Its always a delightful stay here. A dissappointed that the pool was closed for the season already. Especially while we are still having 80 degree weather. But other than that convient location. Quiet & well kept.
- 3/5
Smelled like weed
- 3/5
Property access was difficult to spot. Over all, property is nice enough. Walls are very thin and between doors slamming shut and conversations it was pretty noisy. Breakfast was elevated from continental breakfast with the addition of waffles, scrambled eggs, sausage, potato's, and gravy.
- 4/5
Clean & Nice room, staff is nice. The so called Buffet Breakfast but not much just a few item and don't taste good too.
- 5/5
We loved our room. It was very spacious, had an attached patio, and well lit. The breakfast was nice, and the hotel was well located with easy access to all the surrounding areas.
- 5/5
Property was clean staff was friendly and the location was easy to find
- 4/5
It was a nice hotel and well kept. A little hidden and only one narrow way in. The breakfast was good with hot and cold choices. The room was very spacious and the hotel was quiet. The staff was friendly and helpful.

Nice place to stay for concerts at Cascades Amphitheater!
- 3/5
Staff was okay. Not the most friendly. There was a homeless man that came in with his grocery cart and he was nice enough, but when leaving the parking lot he was peeing on a trashcan.
- 3/5
A place to sleep. Outdated a little dingy. Felt a bit unsafe
- 5/5
It was wonderful & relaxing. I always enjoy my stay here. Never been dissappionted.

I am sorry to say but this is the worst hotel expereince that I have ever had. When we walked in the lobby upon arrival the staff ignored us and then debated who was going to assist us. Which i was going to let slide, but when we went to our room the entire room smelled of pet urine. I went back to the front desk and asked for a new room. They had to come confirm the smell before rebooksing us. Our new room seemed fine when we walked in, then we walked into the closet area and it REEKED of human urine. It was already midnight by this point so we just avoided stepping in the closet as much as possible as it was a pass through to the bathroom. I had to make multiple trips to our car for luggage and supplies, and each time I walked by the front of the lobby the staff was smoking behind a bush next to a no smoking sign. I honestly could not recommend people stay away enough. I really hate to give a bad review but it is unacceptable to expect people to stay in these rooms.
- 1/5
Rooms were decent for the area.
- 4/5
Room was extra large. I Think it was a handicapped room. Everything worked. Bed was a little soft for my taste. The Cable TV system had several channels that were down, though this may be outside the control of the hotel.
- 4/5
Simple and good.
- 5/5
This was an excellent stay
- 4/5
The room opening to the pool was nice, but would like to have chairs to enjoy for our room. Otherwise clean, well kept spot with convenient kitchen
- 4/5
No complaints. The room was clean. The water in the shower was hot when I needed it to be hot. There was a refrigerator, a microwave, and an iron in the room. Breakfast was standard but good and appreciated. It has a pool if that interests you. The staff were all nice.
- 3/5
The main living area of the room was spacious, but the bathroom area was very small and crowded. The TV didn't work for the entire week we were there. The breakfast items were not great but I did appreciate having a banana available. There were very noisy people slamming doors and yelling until we'll after midnight on several evenings. It made it an unpleasant stay.
- 5/5
Lovely staying
- 4/5
Affordable with nice and simple breakfast..
- 2/5
The room had an overwhelming musty smell that was nearly too much to take.
- 5/5
Nice area. Good parking lot that was safe. Beds were comfy.
- 3/5
We chose this hotel because it was near our daughter’s house. Unfortunately, because it’s older, it shows it. It smelled like it used to be a smokers room and the carpeting felt dirty. One side of our bed was slopping downward. Other than those things, our stay was okay. We probably won’t stay here again.
- 4/5
Great economy hotel! Basic, clean, comfortable, exactly what we were looking for after a show at Cascades Amphitheater.
- 1/5
I almost never leave negative reviews, but this place was the worst. It was filthy and literally moldy. If it hadn’t been the middle of the night after a long drive, I would have left right away after seeing the room. The Expedia listing was completely misleading. I will never stay in another Quality Inn.
- 3/5
Breakfast preparing staff need to wear hair nets. My husband found a hair in his eggs and I found a long black hair in the sausage. 😬😣
- 5/5
Been a guest of & on for the last 5 years.
- 1/5
I cancelled my second nigh and reserved a better room at Hyatt house for cheaper… and what a difference.
- 4/5
Highlights were the great outdoor pool/hot tub and delicious breakfast. The entire building, including the room, was stinky and dated, but the room was really clean. The lobby was inviting with cookies and mints, but my husband went down to the lobby a couple of times in the evening and couldn’t find anyone at the desk. Definitely not luxurious, but it did the job and we’d probably stay there again.
- 4/5
we enjoyed our visit. We loved the hot tub and pool. The housekeepers were also great. The place has a stale/ weird smell.
- 3/5
This place is just ok. The rooms are very dated, tired and minimal amenities. I stayed twice in one week. First time for 3 days, second time was just one night. Second time the floor in room was not clean and the door did not close & lock tightly in the door frame. Both times it was very noisy.
- 5/5
Just needed a place for 2 nights and breakfast was good
- 5/5
thank you
- 5/5
Great stay. The hot tub and sauna was in building A, so if you want to use that, it's best to request a room in that building otherwise you need to travel a bit far.
- 4/5
Definitely liked how close it was to a lot of different llaces to eat. After driving for about 10 hours, that was definitely the last thing on my mind!
- 5/5
The area around the hotel was nice and quiet.
- 4/5
It was good and clean
- 3/5
The staff was not rude just dismissive especially when we got locked out of our room multiple times due to some sort of key card malfunctions. I did like how the place had played and cups and pots and pans.
- 5/5
Large rooms. Great price. Nice continental breakfast and great pool area.
- 1/5
During our stay someone gained access to our room and went through some of our stuff. Cash was stolen from my wallet and my debit/credit cards were rearranged and may have had information copied. Staff was unhelpful with this issue.
- 5/5
Stayed 3 nights with children. The area was very nice.
- 4/5
The room is quiet and clean; The breakfast is good. Rooms for improvement: 1. Security - There were teenagers smoking weeds in a car in the parking lot. They did not look like customers of the motel. 2. Furniture - wore out badly, outdated style, not fit the size of the room 3. Stains on carpet
- 4/5
I told them about a tripping hazard at the outside main entrance, after two days it was not fixed yet. I guess the management at this inn does not care enough about the guests safety enough.
- 2/5
Property could use an update on rooms, lobby and dinning area. The smell of dampness was terrible. Carpets appear to be from the 80’s. Bathrooms and showers could use a new look. The A/C was noisy and floors squeaked like they made of wood, especially in the bathroom sink area. The stench of mold/dampness was apparent throughout the hotel.
- 4/5
Had a great stay
- 1/5
Check in was horrible. Staff guy with the curly hair made me wait 30 mins while he sat on his phone. HELP THE CUSTOMER! Then go back to your social media.
- 5/5
Easy parking, easy to get to room, clean and friendly.
- 5/5
We were travelling with two large dogs and had plenty of space in the "Efficiency" room we reserved. The location was great for us too, close to a wonderful dog park (Ike) so our boys could get a good off-leash run in before we continued our journey. The pool was also great for our son. We would definitely stay here again if we are in the area.
- 4/5
Pleasantly surprising hotel. The outside appearance of the hotel was very unassuming, but the room was spacious, clean, and very comfortable. A little gem of a place.
- 5/5
I had to haul my luggage up two and a half flights of stairs. NO ELEVATOR!!

Great stay and food. The room smelled a little funny like cat litter but otherwise, it was great.

I would likely choose a different place to stay if I'm ever passing through again. The hotel was quite run down and the staff were not very friendly. On the positive side, the cost was reasonable, there was a decent selection of breakfast items - the sausages were delicious, the location was really good in terms of dining, shopping and proximity to the I-5, and the rooms were spacious.

Exception: no elevator. I just had surgery with lifting restriction of 10 lbs. My room was on the 2nd floor 😔

I like that I can bring my dogs and the pillows and bed were comfortable. I like that there is only one entrance and exit to the property. The free breakfast offers a nice variety of hearty foods. My room smelled clean.

The property was nice, the rooms were very large and enjoyed my stay. I didn't realize by using Expedia they wouldn't allow me a preference of floors and having to stay on the second floor with no elevators was hard on my disability. But the price was right. The breakfast was wonderful. The workers kept it very clean.

Convenient location, spacious room.

Front desk staff is very rude and obnoxious. Management charged us a fee for requesting a crib even though their Expedia page clearly stated "free cribs/infant beds" under Extra amenities. Very scummy owners. Avoid at all costs.

Really nice staff rooms were surprisingly clean and big. Area was very clean and beds were like any hotel bed but overall it was nice! Kudos to the staff for this location! We will be back again

The room was clean. The hotel was just older and a bit outdated but it served our purpose. We just needed a place to stay for one night after we attended a concert in the area. We were very comfortable no complaints. We were in room 102 I believe and one cool thing about that room was the sliding glass door had a gate that would have taken us right out to the pool had we been staying longer and had it been warm enough to swim. That would have been a great bonus.

Had they just taken care of the AC or provided another room I don't imagine it would be too bad. I informed the front desk on the way out and recommended that they don't provide the room to others and all I was told was I'm checked out and nothing else is needed.
