Hampton Inn & Suites Portland/Vancouver

A newer property that is awaya clean and well appointed. Friendly staff no mater the time you stop by at. This is our go-to place in Vancouver.

It was clean and comfortable, and the staff was very friendly and helpful. And the breakfast was excellent! Pillows were all too soft and no where to charge USB, but those are minor issues.

Excellent place to stay for a work trip. It was clean and comfortable and I'll definitely be back.

We shouldn't have had to pay for parking after already spending so much. I didn't know about this added fee. The pool was very dirty.

Breakfast was good and the room was comfortable.

I chose this property because of location, but I would come back for the staff who were top tier. Everyone was so helpful and cheerful! The breakfast buffet was not huge, but had lots of everything and options for gluten-free travelers.

The employees were nice and they did offer plenty options for breakfast We had trouble checking in. We were not told when booking that there would be construction going on in the hallway and being woken up by the workers scraping the floors and vacuuming the dust from the carpet they were pulling. Had an employee, Im assuming housekeeping open are door two hours before check out time, which I had gone back to sleep and my 9 yr old was in there with me and someone opened our door. Scared both of us. If they had knocked we couldn't hear due to all the noise in the hallway. Had we known this information prior to booking, we wouldn't have booked where they were going to be tearing up carpet and have all the noise starting in the morning. As far as the room, walking in it looked descent, but as soon as my daughter and I each sat on each of the beds, they scooted, felt like they weren't very sturdy, just kind of odd. The shower head had no pressure, so rinsing was a pain. I'm glad we brought our own blankets cause the blankets were itchy material and just not pleasant. It just overall was not a good experience, Also the parking fee is comical to me. I pay to stay at hotel, where should I park my vehicle? I would think in the parking lot of where I'm staying, so to be told I was going to be charged to park there is just absurd. Will never stay there again. They were upgrading carpets in hallway but guy doing work was quiet and very friendly and helpful. We will definitely stay there next time.

Great variety of breakfast options however the gravy for the biscuits was extremely watery and lacked any flavor. Room size was great, pool area was awesome. The gravy at breakfast. A complimentary tooth brush would have been nice as I realized quickly I forgot to pack mine.

staff i interacted with at the front desk the night i checked in were kind. daytime staff I encountered were exceptionally helpful. i am very grateful for them. i found the mattress and pillows comfortable and i slept well; i have some lifelong back and joint issues, esp after long drives, and i had zero pain upon waking. things seemed clean. nice location & convenient to most of my local destinations. overall, felt safe as a female solo traveler. kitchenette was a nice convenience. room temp was good. found water temp and pressure in shower good. that said, i have fine hair, so maybe reviews knocking it are from people with thicker hair. room design made it feel quite open and spacious. if ever renovated in the future, attention to sound-proofing would be a strong choice. -- i had been driving over 12 hours and so i would have fallen asleep no matter what, but, whereas in some places i can crash out quickly, it took longer for my mind to relax because I could hear the neighbor's tv, and pretty clearly. i could also hear them in the morning when i woke up. temp in the little business center was quite high. i hope that the staff are very fairly compensated -- even without tips...

The room was clean and the facilities were nice. Buffet breakfast was good, lots to choose from. - The hall vent/blower was on the same wall right outside our room, and the constant sound was like a bathroom vent running non-stop. - Pillows were either flat or too hard.

I enjoyed the location being closer to restaurants and stores. The breakfast setup and selection was amazing. The staff were friendly and helpful. The room was not thoroughly cleaned. The shower and floors still had dark hair all over! My daughter and I have blonde hair and it was there when we first walked in to get settled. Makes it hard to relax, wondering if the room was actually disinfected. :(

The staff was friendly. The complimentary water was nice. The room was clean, as was the bathroom. Mattresses and pillows were very comfortable aside from the noisy frames. Lots of breakfast options! The pool was a nice temperature, but the hot tub felt too hot to actually submerge up to the neck in. I wasn’t able to get in beyond sitting on the steps. I typically like very hot water, so I feel like maybe it was just too hot, or maybe the pool room was too warm? The bottom of the pool and hot tub need to be redone badly. They are cracking and chipping and discolored. The carpeting in the hallways along the walls could be improved upon. I felt like the eggs at breakfast were too salty, but that’s very subjective. The bed frames were very noisy. We had 2 teens in 1 bed, and my husband, myself, and our 5 year old in the other. The noise the beds made from people rolling over kept me awake.

The staff made us feel totally welcomed! The staff went to the max to ensure we had a great visit. The room was exceptionally clean. All parking spaces were occupied when we arrived, they said they would call me when one became available. A staff member stayed in the parking spot until I arrived to park. A great stay at the Vancouver Hampton.

Smoke detector goes off from the steam in the bathroom. Some water damage in the hallway walls. Looks a little worn but overall okay and quiet. Location is good.

I've stayed at more than a dozen Hamptons and this is the best. Great staff and an excellent property. Highly recommended. The only downside was my friend didn't like the shower. I thought it was fine.

Hotel very clean. Staff very nice. Breakfast very good. Only thing was parking full each night and had to park far away. Back doors key entry kept having issues on/off each day.

My daughter and I enjoyed our stay- our room was clean, the breakfast was great with longer hours and plenty of well stocked options. My daughter enjoyed swimming in the pool. The staff was very accommodating, doing their best to put all the members of our group close to each other on the same floor of the hotel.

The gal that checked us in was super friendly and very helpful. My only complaints about our stay were the noise - the hotel was busy and lota of doors slamming, people being noisy/loud, etc. Housekeeping was also not stellar. The tile floor was sticky and felt grimy, and there was dust/hair in the bottom of the bath tub. Considering this is one of the few hotels in town that accept pets, it was a nice hotel.

Great stay for a quick weekend trip. Loved the size of our king bedroom suite. I also enjoyed the smart tv, pullout couch and the breakfast was amazing! Great options plus a hot breakfast.

The staff, room and free breakfast were extraordinary. The staff went above and beyond to make sure I had a great stay and everything I needed. The room was very clean and spacious. Parking is fantastic! The breakfasts were delicious!

Reserved a 2-queen room weeks in advance. Checked in at the front desk on the day of stay. It wasn’t till we walked in the room that I realized it was king bed room. I notified the front desk of this immediately. After being placed on hold, I was told that the queen room I had reserved was over booked. I was offered a roll away bed for the discrepancy No apology was offered or any other way to make it right!

It was a last minute decision to stay the night in Vancouver so I wasn’t holding out hope for finding a clean and comfortable hotel to stay. I was fortunately wrong. The Hampton Inn while buzzing with other families, was clean, quiet, and comfortable. Despite booking a last minute double queen room, they oversold the rooms and gave us a jr suite. It was beyond spacious and gave us room to stretch out after a long day. Would stay here again!

The bed and pillows were extremely uncomfortable. Both my wife and i woke up through the night, tossing and turning to try and get comfortable. Both of us woke up sore and tired from lack of sleep.

The room was dingy and had stains on all surfaces. The shower had zero water pressure. The “cute” out door sitting area again stained and not well kept. Not worth $200 a night. Morning staff was super nice.

My family stayed here for a night. This is a nice hotel (very clean, great breakfast and customer service), but we had a bad experience with noise during our stay. There was a party in the room next to ours that kept us up all night. Even after the party died down around midnight, we could hear their tv playing a loud movie through the wall near our bed until 3am.

The breakfast food was delicious. The staff was very nice and accommodating. The hot tub, pool, workout room were nice. In a great location for those looking stay just a little outside of Portland, Oregon.

Really enjoyed our stay. Everyone was super friendly and helpful. New TVs had been installed in all rooms this previous month, and remotes would not change source to allow my children to access their XBox. The front desk was super helpful and loaned us a special remote. Kids happy! Breakfast was delicious. Beds very comfortable. Very clean. Would definitely stay again.

The staff at the Hampton were so friendly and accommodating. The best hotel breakfast we’ve found yet! The tv in the room even had a welcome message! The shampoo/conditioner/bathroom items were quality, and they even helped us out at the front desk when we forgot to pack toothpaste! The facility was so clean everywhere. Location was convenient for what we were in town for. Restaurants all around too. Cannot wait to come back and stay here!

Our family of 4 (plus our 50lbs puppy ;)) had a wonderful stay! From the moment we check in with the warm and kind staff, to the condition and cleanliness of the entire property, the pool, and large free breakfast! We have stayed at many Hotels in and around Vancouver, this has been the best!

Lovely stay! Excellent service and so clean! Rooms big and beds comfy. Breakfast was amazing, lots of choices and helpful staff. Hot coffee! Close to shopping and restaurants. Really a great stay! Kids loved the pool.

Other than that the room was nice and clean. The breakfast was wonderful. The hotel manager compensated us one night stay but a lot of what was taken had more sentimental value and can not be replaced (yes I know we should have taken it into the room). I would definitely stay there again, but we will NEVER leave ANYTHING in our car again, even if it takes 2/3 trips to get it all in the room

One negative - there was no information about the property in the room. Usually if not some sort of printed directory (I understand Covid concerns), then information is on the TV. Nothing. Did not feel as though adequate information was provided to take advantage of the amenities of the property. In addition, the room was expensive and way overpriced. Will try another hotel next stay.

At 5am, there was no shuttle, no breakfast bags. Hotel staff said no one requested the shuttle. When i got upset, she said "I dont get paid enough for this". She said she would try to get the shuttle driver but never did. I had to pay for a uber to get to the airport. So 30.00 extra on the room and 30.00 extra for the uber.

Room was nice and clean. Bed was not bad. I've had nicer beds but it was comfortable. Everything was in its place and well appointed. We had some very loud neighbors that we put up with for over 2 hours, but after i called the front desk they took care of the disturbing behaviors quickly. Overall a nice hotel.

The property was clean and up to date. The staff was helpful, courteous, and patient. However, the walls did not muffle sounds, and talking and laughing could be heard through the early morning hours from the neighboring room.
