They didn't even confirm my room. When we got there there was nobody there. Luckily they did not take money out of my account.

Hard beds, no elevator

When I arriveda the hotel, I wondered if it was even open, so few cars (and the same ones as in the picture of the hotel). Dead weeds by the entrance door, which I was surprised even opened. The clerk at the desk informed me that I would need to pay extra for my cat, but then also informed me that the wifi and tv were not working, and offered me to cancel my stay with no charge. Frankly, i needed neither wifi or tv - but I was glad to have an opportunity to cancel with no penalty at their offfer. Clerk was friendly and apologetic - but I was glad to be leaving. All of what I wrote above...actually. Eventually, I did not stay at this hotel.

Very clean nice staff and great location will be staying in the future 👍

Friendly staff, very attentive management that went above and beyond to accomodate us. Definitely staying here again! Wi-Fi wasn’t working, so no tv. They were remodeling the lobby, so no breakfast at that time. Nothing that was a deal breaker, though!

I was set up in disability room. The water pressure in the shower was absolutely awful. There were bars all over the shower to keep from slipping and a seat to sit on. With the low trickle water pressure once I got shaped up I was slipping all over the shower. It is very dangerous and the water pressure and the slipperyness of the shower needs be fixed before someone get badly injured.

The floors were dirty. The door didn't lock. Asked for another room, which was granted. The refrigerator was missing. The air was damp and had an odor. Breakfast was very poor. The only other couple there expressed their dis-satisfaction as well. We checked out after one night and went to another place.

Bed was very comfy!

Breakfast area was closed due to remodeling according to the sign at the front desk, but I think I was the only one there that night. It’s hard to find, especially at night, even with GPS.

Location, price, breakfast.

Room was clean, the staff was friendly and helpful, and I even had an enjoyable conversation when I arrived, and the breakfast was solid.

The room was clean and the beds were comfortable. No agent working the front desk. Had to ring a bell multiple times or call a number to get someone to show up thag didn't disclose at checkin that breakfast starts at 7 and not 6 as listed on the website. The hot buffet was a mini crockpot of sausage patties and the pastries were white toast. The phone in the room was for decoration only and wasn't plugged in to use. The door doesn't close by itself so you had to force it shut. Facility isn't handicap accessible. No vending machines either except for what's sold in their "market" and nothing was diet or zero sugar. The "blanket" on the bed was a fancy textured sheet.

It was under construction doors in hallway key didn’t work properly and bathtub wouldn’t hold water. Also breakfast smelled unacceptable

Hotel was very clean. Room was great, updated. Breakfast was slacking, not a variety at all. Breakfast area was clean just lacking variety of food. Outside of hotel property is not the best. Abandon building (old restaurant) and junk yard type in front.

They must be undergoing a renovation. The hall carpet looks new. The breakfast was adequate. The hotel is located near the interstate. There is a space for a rack to hang clothes, but there was no bar/rack for the hangers. The hall carpet looks new, but there were doors (unattached) leaning against the walls in the hallway. The door had a bolt lock' but not the hardware to turn the lock. The glass doors to the outside do not appear to have been cleaned for a long time. I don't believe the front desk was manned 24 hrs but the doors to the outside were not secured. And perhaps I did not read correctly as I thought there was daily room service. Daily room cleaning didn't occur.

However we had a wreck and had to cut our trip short. No issues with the hotel or staff. The breakfast could have had a little more to offer like eggs, boiled or scrambled. Potatoes can be kept warm in a crock pot. Some of the windows in the lobby need replacing

Friendly front desk attendent Rear door to facility not secure/would not lock. Room was in process of being remodeled. Breakfast pictured on website was not what was provided.

EV hookup Odd location - cloverfield not a real street, had to weave in and around a shopping center parking lot to arrive at hotel

Parking okay. Limited dining options without driving. Breakfast is poor, I opted to grab coffee and check out.

It's not easy to find. I need a sign on the main road and directional once onthe service road.

So disappointed .. Location .. location .. location .. UGH!

It was a safe place to stay that was close to where I was visiting. The hotel is in bad shape. It looks like they are attempting to remodel but everything is falling apart. Was not worth the money I paid.
- 3.5/5
The staff was outstanding! The path to the facility was very strange and not clear. This is not the facility fault but was still a challenge. There were issues though like, the door to the parking lot was not secure. The key reader was present but the door didn’t lock. The security level. Not that the facility is in a bad area but the lock to the parking lot didn’t work and there were many blind spots that could make it feel less secure

Hard to find, in an odd location.

Quiet, very friendly staff Directions to get there. Needs to have better signage to direct

RUN AWAY They invented excuses to hold my deposit. They are big liars

Quiet location right off the main street The room didn't have the extra door lock. We just pushed the chair.up to it

Super clean, comfortable beds with a great breakfast. Easy access to Interstate 40.

Largest refrigerator I have ever seen in a standard room. The beds are great and makes for a good night’s rest. The bathroom room is very spacious with a long vanity. Chris has a warm welcome smile. Breakfast was good with great coffee. The outside is not impressive but the inside makes up. No elevator just wide steps to the 2nd. floor. Not bad at all.

Oh i loved the whole experience. The front desk gentleman was excellent. He helped out so much. Cant complain about nothing. Awesome experience. Might stay at another sonesta in Augusta Georgia

This is going to be a good stop when they get their remodel complete. Very friendly staff

Well, we stayed in late December and the hotel is under renovation, which really plays into the review. The room was fine, as it had already been renovated, but there was no carpeting...all tile flooring. The fridge was nasty on the inside, so we could only use the freezer part. The heater did work well to keep the room warm. The hotel lobby and hallways were dusty and dirty due to the renovation activity, and there was stuff stacked in the first floor hallway. Luckily we were on the first floor as there is no elevator. We were the only guests in the hotel for the night, which is a rather odd feeling (maybe I've seen too many movies where that is the part of the storyline). The location is actually difficult to get to and Apple Maps had trouble directing us to the hotel because you have to weave your way through parking lots to get to it. We finally spotted the hotel and were able to make our way to it without assistance from Maps. While normal Sonesta hotels have been quite nice, this Sonesta Essential was underwhelming and will not be a choice in the future.

Property was under extensive remodeling. No elevator - doesn't appear to be any place for one. No coffee & condiments in room. Nice breakfast room, but no breakfast available. Parking lot pavement extensively damaged. Attendant "Chris" is excellent! great help in moving in and out. Seems to be a very nice facility - our room was enormous. This has a potential for a few "stars" when renovation complete!

clean and friendly staff.

The property looks abandoned driving up with virtually no customers and the lobby is a complete construction site. Confusing check in. Demanding a security deposit without noting the deposit on my receipt. Paid with cash and front desk person would not list the deposit, only the room total so we will see if it gets refunded upon checkout. We entered our room and it was dirty and uncleaned from the last guests. Not like any hotel i"ve ever stayed at.

Great front desk. Clean room.
- 2/5
The air conditioner leaked and the bucket underneath overflowed onto the carpet so the carpet was soaking wet. The toilet barely flushed. The beds are very uncomfortable and the pillows are tiny. The room had a bad smell to it the second we walked in. The second floor itself is hott and felt like a sauna.

This hotel was a bargain and after spending 2 nights there, it was apparent why. - In the first room we were given, the bathroom sink was clogged. Our first night was a Saturday night, so when we reported the problem Sunday morning, they couldn’t call a plumber to come fix it on a Sunday. The best they could do was move us to another room after housekeeping was done at 11 am Sunday - There was no one attending the front desk either when we wanted to check in or when we needed to report the plumbing issue. There was just a sign saying call this phone number. - We weren’t sure we had the right place because they’re in the process of rebranding from Quality Inn to Rodeway Inn and the signage hasn’t yet been updated. - The streets getting to the hotel were horrible - The electrical outlets on the nightstands didn’t work on either side of the bed

For the price, you cannot beat this place. Super friendly owners, very quiet location, and clean rooms. They are currently under a remodel, so some minor things such as doors being hard to shut are to be expected. But as far as major red flags, there are none. As I said, super clean and super nice! Will definitely be going back. Can’t believe this place is so cheap… Hidden treasure!

The place is being renovated and mattress were lining the hallway,Sheetrock dust in the room, billing was screwed up I booked thru hotels.Com and the place had no record of our reservation and charged me more than I had booked the rooms for originally and they charged me for 3 rooms while I had booked 2 although the one is supposed to be taken off my card!

El lugar esta en proceso de remodelacion. Muchas cosas en losmpasios y lobby. El cuarto excelente. Pero lo demas muy mal. Espero que pronto terminen la remodeñacion

Room was good and clean. When I checked in I was greeted warmly and friendly, even at 12:30am.

The Expedia app says check-in 24 hours, staff will greet you upon arrival. Cannot get refund because NOBODY will answer the phone. Had to pay $130 for a room elsewhere after already paying for this one!

We stayed at the VB Hotel (actually Quality Inn — they’re converting) as a stopover going east. The staff were super friendly and helpful. Pets stay for free. Facility was clean and had a small breakfast buffet.
