Comfort Inn & Suites Van Buren - Fort Smith

A step down from the adjacent Holiday Inn Express. The breakfast bar in particular -- although the hot breakfast options were okay -- was lacking.

WiFi was visible in the room, had to call front desk too receive it, didn’t have enough sheets or blankets for rooms. There was hair on the wall of the shower.

It was being remodeled and really needed it.

We stayed one night here and our stay was great! Everything was clean and comfortable. The breakfast was good - typical hotel breakfast foods. There was plenty of parking and the desk clerk, who was the only staff we dealt with, was pleasant and helpful. We would stay here again.

The breakfast menu was fresh and well prepared parking was close safe and easy.

Hi. On my business trips and this vacation to see my family, I enjoyed the Comfort Inn. Everything was very clean and fresh, and I thank the receptionist and the manager for their attention. Thank you for being kind and attentive. My last time was many years ago. This weekend I returned, and I am grateful. It will be my place to rest when I pass through Fort Smith again. Thank you very much.

Much better than I expected would be at that price point. I would definitely stay there again matter fact the next day I went out of my way to stay with the same company and I'm glad I did. It was good also.

Awesome walk-in shower. Great handicapped parking. Ice machine on 3rd floor out of order. Too close to interstate, makes it very noisy.

The hotel is very nice, however-- and they have no control-- but the proximity to I40 results in a lot of traffic related noise.

Very clean and comfortable bed; breakfast was all we needed! If I didn't have GPS I might not have found it location wise. But it was worth looking for!

Staff was friendly enough. The place just seemed a little run down. Mildew on ceiling and some areas of bathroom. Loud freeway noise! Not a bad stay overall but there's a reason it's not rated higher.

The staff was great, my room wasn’t very impressive due to a few minor inconveniences(microwave missing the plate ring,etc.) but overall it was a decent experience. I’d be willing to give them a second chance if I’m in the area again.

Spotless room

The property was amazing. Check-in and checkout left something to be desired! We needed a receipt and were told that booking.com would have to give us one! We needed it to turn in at work and were told again that they didn’t have a receipt. They sure slid the credit card and our work requires a receipt for every transaction. A 2 week trip, 7 different hotels and this is the only one who wouldn’t give us a receipt. They finally gave us a paper but it was for a room rate with no taxes or fees added and no name from booking or credit card so company we work for couldn’t use it. We requested one through the Booking.com app and 10 days later, still no response. Thanks to this, our company has told us we can’t use Booking anymore for stays. Our next 2 week trip coming up in 5 days will have to be the old time way of googling, finding a hotel and then pulling up to see if they have a room! All of this because the staff at this hotel do not know how to print a receipt if you go through Booking.com.

We liked that the location was off the I-40 making it easier to get on and off the road. It also wasn’t far from restaurants. 1. The bathroom did not have an exhaust fan so showers fogged up the mirrors and going #2 sucks (pretty sure they have mold too). 2. There was a nasty looking bandage wrapped around the handle of the hair dryer 3. Coffee was terrible 4. Bed was uncomfortable and the bedding was cheap / not soft. 5. Customer service could use some improvement 6. Not a big deal but lack of tv options also stunk.

I liked the location - close to eateries and the movie theater. Enjoyed having a refrigerator in the room, also. Breakfast was average - eggs were dry, coffee was very weak and bland. Bread / pastry items were a little stale. Would have liked to have a safe in the room.

The staff was very courteous and helpful. Room was clean, had everything we needed. The shower was wonderful… good hot water and lots of water came out of the shower head! Reasonable rates. We’d stay again.

The interstate was loud from the room I was in. Also, the hot water was just warm even though it was all the way on H. The staff was friendly.

The breakfast was terrible. The English muffins, bagels and bread were dry and hard. I asked the attendant if she had fresher bread and she went to the back and brought out the bag of English muffins. The muffin was wet from condensation and hard in the other side. It was obvious that the eggs and sausage patties were warmed up leftovers for several days. It was terrible. The Comfort Inn & Suites had gone way downhill. I don’t plan to stay there again. There were not many good options on hotels.com for this city

Property was clean. Only gluten free breakfast choices were small yoghurt cups and apples/oranges.

The shower was broken, but usable. Would have liked to have received fresh towels during our stay but didn’t. Staff we experienced were very friendly. Parking was perfect, breakfast was good but a lot was empty and had run out, it took a while for things to be refilled.

Everything was good except for handicap accessible toilet was low to ground. Don't get this. 😁

The microwave would not come on. The refrigerator was not getting very cold. The air conditioning / heating unit made too much noise. I was gonna let them know when I turned the keys cards back in at the front desk, but nobody was at the front desk when I left.

This property was very clean look like it was newly built. The lobby was decorated and very cute. Also had an amazing smell fresh and clean with a nice scent. My room is very comfortable. Beds were soft. Pills were nice. Everything was clean and new great place to stay.

Everything was clean and the amenities were good except that one morning there was no hot water and I had to have a cold shower. Breakfast was ok but the bagels were stale

The toilet did not work; the fill valve was broken. The bathroom smelled quite musty. Quite a few other maintenance issues. I do not expect a perfect room, but it needs to have the major features functioning. Probably will not stay here again.

When we made our reservation, we specifically requested a handicap-accessible room, which should have included support bars and a walk-in shower with a bench. Unfortunately, the room we received only had a walk-in shower without any bars or bench. This was a significant disappointment.

Staff was nice and helpful. The room felt dirty and the comforter was definitely dirty. It wasn’t changed from previous occupants. The floor was dirty. We’ll choose another location if we stay in the area again.

10/10!! Comfort Inn won lifelong customers with me from this stay alone. The room was immaculately clean and smelled so good. The lady that checked us in was so nice and had great recommendations for dinner. The breakfast was hot and delicious.

Our stay was overall good. Only downside was the traffic nouse from the interstate. The motel sets next to the interstate and the back side rooms overlook the highway. Lots of overnight traffic noise.

The staff is super nice but unfortunately the rooms were poor in construction and quality. The rooms although big had a moldy smell and the floors were coming up from the botttom. We rented a few rooms some friends of mine and i and we all felt the same way

The elevator was being worked on. We walked up two flights of stairs to get to our room. My roommate needed her inhaler. Thanks to the clerk at the check in desk he brought up the rest of our luggage, the elevator was now working.

Overall pretty good, but did not realize the back of the hotel is next to a busy highway and the traffic kept me awake. Should have specifically requested a room facing the front of the building.

Convenient to our travel route.

The only snag in my stay was the 5am dumpster banging wake-up call when they come to empty the thing. So if you stay on the north side of the complex be ready for the temporary loud noise.

The room was spotless, beautifully decorated, and had all the amenities I needed for a comfortable stay. The location was perfect, and the overall ambiance of the hotel was warm and inviting. I can’t thank the team enough for making my stay so memorable.

Key to open door is hard to manuver. Have shampoo/conditioner but no body wash in shower so had to get back out to get bsr soap

We were traveling from California to Arkansas with our dog and this was our last stop. The hotel was clean on the surface however we found half of an unknown prescription pill on the floor in the bathroom. It was concerning because we had our dog and had he eaten it then who knows what would’ve happened. Also the shower curtain bar was sloped down so wouldn’t stay closed. Then the pressure was so incredibly intense that water sprayed everywhere causing the bathroom floor to get soaked. We almost fell a couple of times because you couldn’t see the water until it was too late.

Shower pressure and hot water was amazing. Everything was clean. Breakfast was just Okay.

Sink was slow to drain, AC leaked on floor and toilet randomly ran/squealed during the night. Otherwise was clean and quiet and we would have overlooked these things but then we returned to the room the first night after a long day/funeral and the room hadn’t even been cleaned. We had to go get towels/cups for the next day.

The Comfort Inn and Suites at Van Buren, AR is a great place to stay for those traveling I-40. It is located just off I-40 in a safe area that is convenient to many restaurants, gas stations, and several large stores like Lowe's. The facility was clean, staff were friendly, and there is plenty of parking for cars, larger rigs, and good for dog walking.

Flooring in bad condition. We checked into our room and had to request another room because of the flooring in the room and the bathroom. The other room they gave us had the same issue in bathroom. The flooring was badly water damaged and had wet underneath the tiles.

Dirty room Alarms going off all the times Front desk knocking on door at 7am for NO REASON! DEFINITELY WOULD NOT RECOMMEND!!

Room was nice, pool was nice, the room was very cold. Our unit was broken I guess and we could not click any buttons & the AC was stuck on the whole time. Water temperature could also be warmer.

Great clean property and great staff. But I do have one small issue. The cleaning product or air freshener they use was so strong in the lobby was so STRONG it was making me nauseous. It smelled like someone spilled a bottle of cheap perfume all over everything.

Just a quick overnight stay. Staff was friendly and check-in was quick. This hotel is off one of the main drags and relatively quiet given it's proximity to the interstate. Have stayed here before and would stay again.

Was there for a sports tournament downtown. Wanted to check in early 12:00 but was told we would be charged extra $30. So we declined. The tournament ran late and got back to hotel 10:00 PM. Front desk called at 8:00 PM to see if we were still coming. Hot water that evening was minimal but we did get hot water in the morning.

We stayed here twice on our roadtrip from NC to Colorado. It was a very convenient stop on the way there and back, right off of I40. Nice selection of restaurants and stores in a very cute safe town. Highly recommend this hotel. Great staff also.

The room was fine and the breakfast was good. I had the amount due but was caught off guard when I was told of the pet fee for my small dog. That charge is ridiculous & I should have been advised by the website Hotels.com that I was getting an additional fee.

Bathroom was horrible. Light falling out of ceiling. Hair dryer is held together by an ace bandage. The toilet handle was broken to the point it was sticking straight up. Both pull rails were coming off the wall. One in shower and one wall.

Great staff, easy check in. Room is clean and has many outlets for personal electronics. Nice area of town!

The best place to stay before you get to Texas or Tennessee!

Front desk staff really professional.

Check-in was a breeze, the clerk at the front desk was a very nice and courteous lady. However, after checking into our room, the room was clean but the deadbolt would not lock. We checked in with 2 adults and a toddler, and it’s a big safety concern that the basic deadbolt wouldn’t lock. My husband complained first at 9pm while I was getting our toddler ready for bed, they said they would send someone up to fix it. (The phone in the room didn’t work, he had to go back down to the front desk.) 30 minutes later, no call or maintenance person showed up. I went down to the front desk and explained to the clerk the situation, she said her boss wasn’t answering the phone. They said we would have to wait until 11pm when another worker arrived. I reiterated that it’s already a quarter ‘til 10, and I have a toddler I’m trying to put down for bed for the night. Her boss finally answered the phone and told me to just put the latch on the door. You know, the latch you put on there that you can still open the door and peak into? I politely declined that option and after a few back and forth, they agreed to switch our rooms and gave us no discount and 30 minutes to round up our things and move down the hall. That room locked, so I didn’t complain any further. However, we had to fight with the toilet off and on during our trip because it wouldn’t flush, it was noticeable the bathrooms were flooded before because the tile was bubbling off the floor. It’ll be the last time we stay here.

Easy check in and pet friendly. Room was clean and beds comfy. A minor amount of wear and tear on drywall and door and furniture from previous pets more than likely but nothing to prevent me from wanting to stay again.. Breakfast was typical hot and cold options and fresh.

Our rooms air conditioner is leaking and the floor is moldy and squishy. I’m allergic to mold and they don’t have any other rooms. They gave us towels to clean up the wet floor

If you want to provide the own with continued income while getting poor quality then look no further. Even the keys were so worn down we couldn’t get in the room. Pillows turn in to a pillow big enough for Barbie. Blankets are thin. Quality very poor

Would not stay at Comfort Inn again. Refrigerator buzzed loudly all night. Could not adjust AC to a comfortable level. Laminate Flooring in bathroom was loose with water seeping out from underneath. Who uses laminate flooring in bathrooms. ?? Definitely not worth the price.
