OYO Hotel Valley View TX, I-35

Good location near exit on and off of freeway. Room was nice size and bed was super comfortable. Guy at front desk was nice and friendly.

Quiet, restful sleep. Amenities include a gas station nearby. There is a donut shop in the nearby town. Hotel is directly off the freeway--easy access.

Based on the 5 mins spent in the room I can say you have air conditioning. Air conditioning that you cannot change the temp of. Along with stained bedding and constant sounds from I-35. I turned the key back over so quickly the gentleman at the front desk was confused. THIS IS NOT A HOTEL. This is a downgraded MOTEL. Im suprised that the room wasnt free. I would have felt more comfortable sleeping outside on the concrete filled pool.

The room that I stayed in room # 116 had damage on the door, the door had a gap running from top to bottom and was not snug tight. and the hotel sits to close to the freeway so you can hear the traffic which made it hard for me to fall asleep.

The air conditioning in the first room we were assigned to didn’t work. The manager moved us immediately when we brought it to his attention. The room is what it is. Somewhere safe and clean to stay. The staff was very accommodating.

Needed a budget friendly place to sleep w several people on a holiday weekend. The place was clean, a/c worked, & right off the interstate.

This hotel is right off the interstate and the road noise is LOUD. We had a hard time sleeping here. The bedding isn't great, etc. We just needed a quick overnight stop on a road trip to sleep so didn't have high expectations, but the reviews gave the impression this experience would be better than it was.

Walking distance to a stor. It's about 10 - 12 miles to Win Star World Casino. Restaurants not far away. Low, small toilet. Thin shower curtain. A/C unit was loud. Knob to set the refrigerator to a cooler temperature was missing.

There was no iron in room.

Disappointing

I was going to stay here for the Germanfest Bike Rally, because the first place selected was horrible. However, this is too far from Meunster, TX. Stay in Gainsville, TX is you plan on attending the Germanfest in Meunster, TX. This cleanliness of this place was 5-6/10 and not worth the $ for the additional time in the car to the Germanfest.

Had everything I needed; decent bed, modest bathroom. TV worked OK. A little too near the very busy highway, but I slept OK.

Clean room. Towels very cheap. Coffeemaker did not work properly. A/C was good, not great. Bed was comfy.

The hotel was filthy, musty and stinky. The towels were hard like they were washed then left to air dry. No matter where we do, we wear socks and she wears slippers. My socks were black and her slippers were as black on the bottom. Floors have not been cleaned. Stairwell was outdated and filthy. Needs work. They did however, come and change the sheets and made the bed in between nights. But over all, not a good stay due to being unclean.

Coffee pot didn’t work. Walls and door had spots of something. Road noise was terrible. Way over priced for the quality of room.

The A/c was very loud, luckily it was cool enough we didn't need it. There was a lot of noise from the hwy. Good deal for the price. Room was nicely equipped, and very clean. The bed was way more comfortable than I expected.

smoking rooms on the bottom floor and non smoking rooms on the top… smoke rises so there are no non smoking rooms. There was trash just pushed behind the beds and bullet holes in the bed frame!

This is a basic, decent room. There's plenty of hot water in a fiberglass shower. Towels get you dry but aren't plush. Some of the tile and trim is DIY, internet is Ok for emails but not streaming. The TV has free ROKU channels, but not cable/satellite networks. Housekeeping came daily to make the bed, refresh towels, sweep and collect trash. At the rate, it's not a spa, but it's a reasonable place to sleep and clean up.

No shower pressure. No breakfast. Bedroom was clean, and roomy. Cheap stay.

Hotel was very clean and the staff was very nice. Air conditioning worked well and shower had grrat pressure. Bed was comfortable. Only complaint is there was a gap in the door which made the highway seem much louder. I would recommend.

We went to WinStar for the weekend and chose this hotel for our stay. It’s about 20-25 minutes from the actual casino, and there’s construction on the way there from the hotel so it made it seem longer. The bed was comfortable, and the pillows were nice… it was a place to lay down before we hit the road home in the morning. It was clean though.

Staff was difficult to understand. Originally unable to enter room with keycard. Did not receive exact room requested.

The room was clean, but there were cockroaches...alive and dead ones. There were roach carcasses piled up in corners on the floor and on the ceiling. The shower never reached a comfortable warm temperature, it stayed cold even after turning it all the way.

The bed stunk like death had food crumbs in it horrible place signs of having bedbugs previously pay a little more and drive further!

The hotel was conveniently located to a venue we were attending a wedding and seeing friends.

The motel was clean and comfortable and I especially liked the mini fridge with a separate freezer. The road noise was not an issue for us because we were in a room behind the stairwell, so we had an extra sound barrier. I would have liked more than 2 towels in the room since I have very long hair that requires it's own towel when I wash it, but that was my only complaint. Would definitely stay again.

We stayed here for one night and it was a great experience. Front desk staff was extremely kind and welcoming. The room was nice and cool and very clean. Will definitely stay here again.

It was really quiet and it was close to the wedding venue I needed to get to. Apart from the noise from the highway, every other thing is really good. I loved the motel and it was really clean.

Good price we stayed at 204 on second floor room is very clean including the bathroom and tub, very accessible. We didn’t hear the noise from the highway. We like it because you don’t have to use 1-35 you can use the other route once the hwy construction is done be a plus. I noticed they eliminate the swimming pool. Just needs some outside landscaping

Everything was great. Only thing that would have made it just a little bit better would have been a pod coffee maker. Everything else was fine. Air conditioner worked REALLY well. Lol

We attended a weding in a venue 5 minutes from the hotel. The rooms are clean with the all basics covered. Since the hotel is right at the I-35 it is noisy.

This is an older hotel located off freeway, you can hear the traffic noise. (ear plugs took care of it) I found our room to be very clean & comfortable. A short drive to Winstar.

The bad - further away from Windstar Casino then I thought, that's on me. Traffic on highway can be heard when trying to sleep. Otherwise a great place to stay!

It was close for a visit to family. We would use this hotel again. Shower good, water hot, hair dryer worked well, bed comfy. What’s not to like.

We had a good stay. The room was clean and well taken care of.

Was not expecting a five star place for the price but also didnt expect to notice spots in need of repair. Very noticeable dents and some trash around floor boards. Did not book this place the following week.

I stayed one year ago and the hotel has gone down since then. Shower head blew off, could not turn down the heat and someone does not know how to operate a water softener, can't rinse off. Reluctant to give me a new room but did.

Clean and as described. The man who runs it is super friendly and helpful. If you are a light sleeper bring ear plugs as there is some highway noise. Didn’t bother me but was worth mentioning.

The room slept ok, but we (Me and Wife) had to wait outside of our room we paid for for 40 minutes because our ride was picking us up. They wouldn’t let us wait inside our room, we hade to wait outside the room. First room they cleaned was ours! I guest to make sure we moved out and left the room. I felt it was unprofessional and rude to make us wait outside. We want stay there again, if it the last hotel on trip, we will not return back to stay again.

The place was nice , room was very clean and comfortable, also very convenient and easy access to the interstate.

The room is near the highway so it is very noisy, the bed was squeaky and noisy made of a metal frame. No restaurants nearby. Walls were dirty.

We only stayed one night. It was a comfortable room, nothing special. The bed was comfortable and the a/c worked good and the room was cool when we checked in.

It was clean and pretty nice other than the family of crickets living in our room. We had one dead upon arrival, killed another while in the room and were awoken to them speaking to one another. Bugs are bad this year and its hot, at least it wasnt anything else. Very clean otherwise.

Dirt, food, kids toys under the bed… stains on the walls and headboard (yuck)…even found food in the drawers. It definitely hadn’t been wiped down or mopped well. Overall was not pleased with the cleanliness.

The rooms do not look like what is shown on their website. We paid before we saw the hotel and we would not stay here so we had to find another hotel. There is no lighting in the rooms and the rooms were dirty. They would not refund our money.

Dislike - next to I 35 so noise. But that is to be expected next to a freeway. At least the buildings were set back a bit so quite acceptable.

The hotel management was very nice and took great care of us while staying there. The room was a little dated, but very clean and had everything we needed. The one thing I didn’t like was that it was right by the interstate and it was loud. That said, we didn’t have any trouble sleeping. Also, there was no elevator to the second floor so we had to use the stairs. No biggie. Overall, great stay.

Highway noise was loud. Not the fault of owner as location was right off the interstate. Air conditioner never cooled the room. Manager said it would be looked into as first warm weekend the room had been used. Overall would still go back. Owners, (couple that manned the reception ) very hospitable and knew local area.

Little bit hard to get to property due to the construction. No fault of their own. We would stay there again. Just a place to shower/sleep.

It has everything you need and nothing you don't. The furnishings are old but clean. The rooms face the highway so there is a noise all night long.. But everything was super clean. New mattresses. No carpet--wood or wood-looking flooring-mopped nice and clean. Shower mat for very clean shower. Very nice manager!

The property was quiet in general, but it is close to the highway so you can hear cars racing. The room was comfortable, good mattress in bed, no issues with AC system, water, nor mini fridge or microwave. Cleanliness needs improvement.

This is not 5 star by any means, but it was clean, quiet and 3/4 miles from downtown Valley View where we had dinner reservations with friends. The beds are very comfortable.

We ordered a king size room but they didn’t have any available so we had to take a double queen. The way to our room was dirty, the room was dirty, beds were very uncomfortable, you could hear everything especially the Highway noise, room keys went out at midnight, and plus much more. Super disappointed in the hotel due to having awesome reviews. Checked out a day early due to all these issues and not getting a wink of sleep. Owner was friendly though. Trust me, and get a high priced hotel for your own well-being. Not worth it

I checked in late and the night manager was available and friendly. I checked in with no fuss -- took maybe 90 seconds since I prepaid. The room is clean with no frills, which is exactly what I expected and paid for. It's near the highway, so not 100% quiet, but it was peaceful enough. Mattress was newish and clean (I always look for bedbugs and there were none found here!). Floor was clean, bath was spotless. I slept like the dead on a soft mattress before continuing my road trip the next morning. This was an excellent deal for the price and I'll probably book again on my next trip to Texas.

This is a slightly older hotel. Nevertheless, the location was nearby the wedding venue in Valley View, so I chose this hotel over one down in Sanger. I was NOT disappointed. The owner and staff were extremely accommodating and kind. The heater worked perfectly, the bathroom was sparkling clean, and the bed was very comfortable. I highly recommend this hotel. It was very clean and comfortable.

I was unfamiliar with this motel but was pleasantly surprised at the quality and cleanliness of our room. For the price, I thought it was a nice room for a short stay.

Probably the fastest hotel check-in ever, which is great after a busy day. The room and property was very clean for an inn on side of freeway. Amenities was not much, but all we needed was ice and the machine worked.
