Super 8 by Wyndham Valdosta GA I-75

My wife and myself were just passing through Valdosta on our way to Florida. We did not need a fitness center or pool, so the Super 8 was a good value. The room and bed was nice. The breakfast was minimal.

It was fine for one night stay. The staff was great. The only complaint that I have is they really should do a better job with cleaning the carpet in the rooms. There was some small things you could tell that didn’t get vacuumed up and there was stains on the carpet. Other than that, it was a great stay. Hot shower, clean bed, and free breakfast.

Would stay here again.

This stay was different. We reserved a king bed room, but we were informed that they had overbooked the king rooms. So we got a room with 2 queens. Walking into the hall, there was a strong smell of marijuana and a large dog barking behind the door of the room across the hall. The front desk moved us to another room farther down the hall. Going into the room, the smell of marijuana was even stronger than in the hallway and there was no shower curtain in the bathroom. The room itself was clean and the beds and pillows were comfortable. The staff was pleasant and helpful, although they had not reserved the type of room we had booked.

This property is only interested in making money with no concern for it's guest.

The staff member was professional and equipped to handle multiple situations while executing each task with clarity and precision.

I booked just for a night to break a trip up based on a higher review for "clean". After the stay it's nowhere near a 9. My spouse sees pubic hair in the bathroom. Bring flip flops or a can of Lysol. If a mattress is all you need for 6 or 8 hours this an affordable alternative for a bed to break a longer trip up. Parking close to room. Huddle House in parking lot. Room had the musky smell of years of deodorizing. This is an older hotel so first come first serve for the better rooms. The AC is noisy if you need white noise. And late arrivals get the barking dog back of the hotel leftovers. I would spend the extra $50+ to get one of the newer hotels at this exit if I ever booked again with my wife.

The ac was so loud that I couldn't sleep, but I didn't feel like it was worth trying to switch rooms after we had an issue with the wifi not connecting and the lady at the front desk was less than helpful and told me she didn't know how I could even pay for the wifi since my member sign in wasn't working. (It was their site, after I went to the regular wyndham site I was able to connect) I would not stay here again. There is plenty of parking, though.

Plenty of parking, even for trailers. Outside of property is older, inside is older but for a quick overnight stay its a value. Grab n go breakfast. Building is not secure, anyone can enter through the side door, it is not locked and can't be since the lock is busted out.

Everything about the room was fine for a short overnight stay. The Ac was a little loud but that was it

Easy road access, lobby, stairs, room etc all serviceable. We weren’t looking for fancy, just a place to sleep and take a shower. Grabbed a couple cups of yogurt in the morning and left. Price point, overall condition of the property, location, ease of access, I’ll stay there again if need arises.

No elevator from what I was told. Had to drag my suitcase up a tall set of stairs. They texted at 8 am with a checkout link and wanted to know when I was checking out waking me up. Checkout was not until 11 am.

Location was good and easy to find. It had a quiet room with clean sheets. The staff was friendly. Dirt was coming out of the sink in the room and had an awful smell. Few selections for breakfast with bad tasting coffee.

For $90 a night, this was a great cheap option. You get what you pay you pay for. Clean and quiet rooms with nice staff. It’s a continental breakfast, not full, so keep that in mind.

The location was good. There was an older in our room, and it could have been coming from the old air conditioning unit in our room. We sanitize the room ourselves because we could literally see fingerprints on the furniture and you could tell it had not really been wiped down very well at all. The toilet ran all night because sometimes you could jiggle the handle and it would stop and sometimes it wouldn't. I am not complaining about this but it is something they should address so they can save money on their water bill. The tub also would not drain because it probably is getting clogged. I think with a few things taken care of, this would be a good place worth the money that you pay. But the older was the worst thing. Staff really didn't know if the room had ever had any cats in it, and I am allergic to cats, so that was a little disheartening.

When we came to check in, the girl had her hair in her face and was yawning in front of us while she was preparing Our room and cards. Not very professional I must say. The breakfast is grab and go, which isn’t what I counted on. Yogurt, juice, coffee. But the room was quiet and the night was quiet and we appreciated that with the clean linens in the clean room.

Well the room was pretty nasty, food and what looked to be dog poop behind the bed, food sauce left under tv from who ever was there, food left beside the bed, if I hadnt been driving for 9 hours and it wasn't 3am id have look over the room the night before but I just checked in tuned the air on and went to bed got up the next morning looked around it was nasty, packed my stuff up went down for breakfast they told me was from 6 to 9 I was there at 8:30 they already had everything locked and put up, another issue was the room was supposed to sleep 5, all we had was 2 full-size bed, I took pics of everything, id have asked for a refund but no one was at the desk

Was impressed. Friendly front counter, clean room and clean bathroom (note the word CLEAN). Now I wouldn’t live there but for one night passing through town - this hotel is a winner!

Location handy for a stopover with parking We discovered 2 spiders and a bed bug in our bed, when we reported the bed bug to hotel staff the morning we found it on checking out, the member of staff just took the hotel key. I would have expected an apology and some indication that they would treat the issue

The location is great and the price is reasonable. There was no toilet seat on the toilet and we had a room by the back door. Every time someone went out the door you could hear the door shutting, and people left at all hours of the day and night.

It needs updating everything is old. The microwave and fridge has rust inside. The staff was very helpful and friendly. See above

Staff member Calondrea (forgive the misspelling) was very courteous and professional. Her polite and kind demeanor made me feel welcome and comfortable. As a female solo traveler, that really meant a lot to me. Clean room, comfortable bed, no frills.

Hotel is outdated and smells like sh**. Tv only had like 10 channels but overall it was a decent place to lay our head for one night. Also, the beds definitely aren’t a queen; full at best.

The only problem was that the water flow in the bathtub 🛁 not going down👎properly, not cool to have water on your knees while showering.

Great place to stay! Beds were very clean and very comfortable, great mini-fridge and freezer! Didn’t use microwave, but was available in room. Shower worked great, as did tv and blinds. Room felt secure and safe, as did building. Parking was easy and secure. Staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast was nice, and available. I will definitely stay there again if given the chance, great value for the price! ❤️❤️❤️

Clean room and quiet. Parking area was next to property. Had issues getting Wi-Fi to work. Calandria at the front desk was super in getting it to work. She went out of her way to assist and she figured out the problem. Property was next to I-75 and there is a Sam's Club and Walmart close for groceries and fueling.

We had a two night stay but we ended our trip early due to our toilet not working in our room at all and our sheets were nasty when arrived. The staff was very helpful and accommodating with changing our room the next dat but we decided not to stay. Also the smell of the hotel could be a little better then what it is.

It was nice and convenient. Also quiet. The guy who was originally working front desk wasn’t too interested in helping me cause it was time for him to go home and so he threw the load off on someone else. Thankfully Ms. Calandra I think was her name was able to help me get situated!! I greatly appreciate her for her help and kindness!! :-)

Brittany greeted me at the front desk and was professional, courteous and very helpful. The property is right off I75 which, if you've been driving all day, is very welcoming. The room was clean, cool and bed super comfortable. The property is off the highway and very quiet. Plenty of parking right on the property.

I have bug bites on me. I hot bit up by bed begs. 3 bites. They are on my cheek, neck and hand. Supper itchy. Room number one zero eight. Wish I could add a photo of them.

I got to sleep and get through my weekend. Need some remodeling and I couldn’t find an elevator I have a bad back so I was left to fight my items upstairs. It’s an awful smell there but, it let me lay my head down just what I needed. The receptionist could smile and talk a bit friendlier.

We booked a non refundable based on reviews hoping for a bargain. When we arrived we were given a first floor room that was fairly nice except across the hall a tub/shower was being refurbished. The smell of the fumes was unbearable and mostly likely unhealthy. We complained and were moved to an upstairs room of the same class. It was filthy and smelled of stale cigarettes even though it was listed as nonsmoking. We packed up and left, forfeiting our payment. The reviews for the property were misleading. Be aware the pool for the property is basically in the middle of the parking lot and is shared with the neighboring hotel. The breakfast foods are from the local Aldi, I saw witnesses the supply room being restocked. I typically don’t have an issue with two star hotels but this one was simply horrible.

Spur of the moment stop. Easy reservation via cell phone. Upon arrival, warmly greeted by desk clerk. Explained and pointed out on map where my room was, ice and vending machines. Offered to get me a sandwich since it was late. I had a lot of stuff to get back in my car to check out. I asked if someone could help me. In no time, David was there loading my car!! The nicest people!! In my opinion, they all deserve a big raise!!! From parking lot to room was very clean!! Smelled amazing! Nothing! To complain about!!!! Most pleasant stay I've had in a good while!!

Parking was easy, but hotel is seemingly has a 1960's type look. It needs updating. Also the breakfast was not good in comparison to similar type hotels.

I really enjoyed my stay. The staff were super friendly and asked me to check the room before checking in. The room itself was clean and well made up. Parking is great and there's lots of restaurants nearby and the hotel itself is just off exit 16. If I have to mention anything I'd say that the card system with a magnetic strip can be a hassle. Luckily I had two so it was all good.

The room was okay kind of tight ,bathtub would hold water while showering, but once I let the staff know they came right on an fixed the issue, I could smell weed in the hallways in the evening hours when I had returned to my room.

Would have liked the breakfast to be a little more robust, just oatmeal and muffins available. But that was a very minor thing. Thanks for a great stay.

Unfortunately, the non-smoking room smelled heavily of cigarette smoke, so our overnight stay was less than pleasant. Additionally, the breakfast in the morning was very substandard--only water and some prepackaged muffins were available, otherwise nothing else, so disappointing.

Grab & go breakfast options were not what we were looking for. I read several reviews and some has said the breakfast was ok or even good. There was really nothing that my family wanted. We may have taken one cereal, and then went to search for a DD coffee place…they’re building one right there across the parking lot, but it wasn’t open yet. :-(

The staff were very polite and helpful. Made sure I understood everything and wanted to make sure I was happywith my room, that everything was working, and I was satisfied with it. The room had all the amenities I could've needed and very quiet. No sounds from outside or neighbors.

The staff were very polite and helpful. Made sure I understood everything and wanted to make sure I was happywith my room, that everything was working, and I was satisfied with it. The room had all the amenities I could've needed and very quiet. No sounds from outside or neighbors.

I had a late check in/check out and the housekeeper that morning, Chris (with the starter dreadlocks), kept saying “Ain’t no late check out.” She and another housekeeper kept commiserating about “Who in that room?” with themselves instead of just double-checking it if they were really that confused and minding the business paying them. There were so many other rooms to keep busy with. Her behavior was overzealous, unprofessional, and not at all apologetic when learning her errors. I had to call/go to the front desk twice to verify, which disturbed me and took more time. It was unique not to have an elevator or ramp to assist with the luggage cart. A gentleman came up to help me, which I appreciated, along with the 4 different front desk staff encountered during my stay. The cleanliness of the room as well as the appliances were also very appreciated. I enjoyed the 24hr coffee and continental breakfast items as well. All things considered, I didn’t let the housekeeper ruin any of the good, but this consideration did keep it from being excellent.

This place is in remodel mode and so far it’s looking good. Faucet and furnace work is needed before there is any chance of a better grade

Had to ask for another room as plank flooring was cupped and lifting. Second room was good but other guests had complaint too.

The room was clean, but the AC unit and tub were noticeably old and worn. Front desk staff and housekeeping was friendly and helpful.

Comfort and convenience

First surprise was the strong odor of weed when entering hotel. 2nd surprise was no elevator to 2nd floor, only stairs. Noise of slamming doors disturbed my sleep. Won't be staying here again.

Great hotel

It was okay, kinda smelled like a dog, but that’s my bad because I didn’t notice it was pet friendly when I booked it. The toilet didn’t flush, u had to take the back off and stick your hand in it to pull the thing up. Other than that it was average.

It was exactly what I needed right off of the highway. I had no problem with my pets. The staff was very nice. Yes, I heard children and pets, but I paid very little for this room. I slept very well and, it is exactly what I expected at a pet friendly, budget conscious hotel.

doors don’t lock non smoking hotel that smelled like heavy smoke furniture solid ed had to change bed sheets when i checked in mini fridge didn’t work limited parking because people were in the parking lot having sex say a couple sitting beside my car when i parked doing drugs

The only thing was there was a woman with a large dog in the lobby where they had the morning breakfast at. She blocked the area with the dog and no one could go thur. my 4year old was scared of the dog so we had to wait and wait for the lady to get done and move the dog out of the way. While the front desk staff did nothing.

All went good friendly staff room was nice and clean. Only issue I booked it for 5 people and they had no roll away beds of sleeper sofa so one had to sleep on floor

Room was clean and comfortable. Staff at the desk wasn’t very welcoming. They didn’t tell us about the breakfast hours, pool or other amenities.

There were roaches in my room floor dirty bench in the room look like it been in there for years and was very stained. It was noisy. Look is was a lot drug attacks hanging around. Bathroom was very dingy tub dirty and toilet was not cleaned.

Room was clean. Good hospitality. Pool was shared with a 2nd hotel next door. Not very big amd was crowded.

Staff was great. However room was terrible. The bed was completely wet, like massive urine puddle in the center of the bed. Also multiple hairs on the sheets. Called to discuss with front desk and they immediately offered my money back as they were sold out. Very nice about it and friendly. Oddly they didn't question it or even want to check the room. The hotel was run down and had a musty odor.

The front desk staff was a sweet lady. The room however was yuck! The room smelled of mold, the carpet was stained, the sink area counter parts were falling off, the footstool / luggage holder was nasty with stains and the front leg was falling off! I will give the tub area credit as the shower stall looked to be new and clean even if the shower head was moldy. The sheets were clean and the towels. I would not stay here again or recommend it to anyone ever.

It was great but no elevators

Hotel was in a very sketchy part of town. Our friends checking in the same time, went to their room and there was a giant puddle of what appeared to be pee in the middle of the bed, as well as what appeared to be 2 pubic hairs on the bed.

Clean, but booked a room with 2 queen beds and a sofa. I ended up with 2 full beds and a bench. 5 people didnt have enough space.

The room that I had was recently renovated. Carpeting was out and wooden floors put in which is a big plus in my opinion. My room was very clean. The neighborhood isn’t the best but it was fine for a one night stay. Check-in was great and the staff were all really nice. Very limited breakfast but that was expected. For the price I paid I was very happy with what I got.

The bathroom was dirty and the tube was not clean. We stay here all the time when we go to Valdosta Ga. Please tell your housekeeper to check before they leave a room.

Friendly staff when I could talk to someone. Bed seemed clean, comfortable. Didn’t get extra towels or toilet paper. Text app for both sites staff is unaware of so I never received help. Woke up with room half with clothes flooded with puddle under ac and bed, Besides that broken tv, Toilet ran. Shower curtain doesn’t close. Some hair in shower. I still felt like it was pretty clean while there were mishaps I can make do for a clean bed.

I liked the location , some of the eatery around it. Disliked nothing

Negatives: Pictures included on ad were definitely not of this particular location as this location is extremely dated and has not been renovated in years. Old food wrapper found under bed. Positives: Staff extremely friendly and helpful, kids enjoyed the pool which was very clean.

Beds and bathroom were ok. However , walls and carpet were very dirty. Room was smelling bad. Not staying there again. :(

The room was spotless, just wish the beds were larger.

Room very dated not close to the pictures on line. Carpet was so stained and dirty we didn't walk on with out our shoes. Toilet felt like there was a bolt missing rocked when you sat down. Bathroom door would not latch. Something spilt on the wall looked like it had been there awhile. Beds were ok. I can understand dated but not dirty. Bathroom also did not have any vent.

The hotel is conveniently located off the highway. The property is older and needs updating but was kept clean by the staff.

This was a good stay just because we didn't get there till 11 pm and left by 9am. The beds where nice comfortable. Customer service was a 10plus! I had to ask for the front desk person to come fix the TV that just wouldn't work. He came up, messed with it got it working. We appreciated that. However when we turned the water in the sink on to wash our hands, the water squatted from the back. The toilet when you went to stand up, would bang from the back because it was not secured. The wall by the table looks like someone purposely threw soda at it. And when you stepped out the room the door didn't securely close because the latch stayed in the lock position, so we had to slam our door! I did bring this to the gentlemens attention. He said ty for notifying him and he would make the notes about it. I told him I was not complaining just wanted to make him aware of certain things. Over all it was good just a few minor setbacks!

If you need a place to crash 1-2 nights, this is a decent place. If you're trying to stay for longer than that, I would look for something more comfortable. Toilet seat was broken, door had to be slammed shut, carpets are sticky, no elevator, and the beds are quite uncomfortable. No hot items on the breakfast bar either. However, the pool was open and clean, they had yogurt, muffins, and fruit cups available 6-9, and it's pet friendly. Staff pretty much minded their own business, and I could not hear my neighbors from inside the bedroom. We left a night early, but really it wasn't that bad.

The room’s lamps were not working. TV was not working. They ate and drank the food and drink I asked them to keep in their refrigerator since they wanted to charge me $20 for a 2.5 hours early checkin. I came back at check-in time to find my brand new half-gallon lemonade half done. The fridge in the room had a sticky handle (a drink spilled that wasn’t clean).

Bathroom had hair everywhere, AC did not work, hallways were noisy all night.

Room was comfortable however really needed cleaning. Floors and window really bad. The noise was really really bad at night. More help needed there.

Dogs were all over the hotel halls barking and being loud the room I was in had dirty towels and the bathroom smelled like a wet dog we literally had to buy a can of spray and the windows weren’t clean at all but the employees were very friendly and I had to report to the office twice because our room keys ain’t work the parking lot was full of dog poo the tv didn’t work but they eventually fix it and last but not least they had food that was moldy in the microwave I’m guessing the food was there a while

Staff was courteous and helpful. Rooms were SUPER quiet, the night we stayed, every room was occupied and we didn't hear anyone. The room we stayed in was very old, and in need of remodel. Overall seems like standard fare for a super 8

I had circumstances which prevented me from staying the night I had booked. I attempted to reschedule the reservation (not a refund) and the hotel was inflexible due to "policy." I paid for nothing. I will not ever stay here and will recommend others not to as well.

This is an old hotel surrounded by commercial properties and trucks, but the front desk people are nice, the rooms are clean, the beds comfortable, and the price right. For a bed and a good night’s sleep on the road this did the job. No complaints.

The smoke detector was beeping on arrival..changed battery. It began to beep again at 5am (no fire)....it was an early morning!

Helpful staff. Clean comfortable room. Just very noisy with other guests, doors slamming, working on their vehicles in parking lot.

The toilet didn’t work, only flushed every once in a while. Taps didn’t work properly only trickled. We paid for king bed on 2nd floor but got double on 1st floor. Not impressed at all

Breakfast was a joke. We had staff knocking on our door before checkout time (twice) to see if we had left yet.

Staff was friendly. Room was clean and the bed was comfortable. Had old style locks on the doors. Free breakfast was basic, but the coffee was good. Saw homeless people across the street. Area was well lit, so I felt my car was safe.

On the downside, the television wasn't working properly. I could only get one channel and gave up trying. Not sure if it was an issue with the remote or the TV. The BIGGEST drawback was that even though the hotel had 2 stories, there was NO ELEVATOR! I know that this being an older facility may be the reason; however, I didn't see anything on their site stating they had no elevator. If so, I would have specifically asked for a 1st floor room. It may have been somewhere, but it was not readily visible when I decided to pick this hotel. I am not young and have bad knees. I had a lot of things with me for my trip and going up and down the stairs was really difficult.

Nasty place

It was quite small, and the pool did not actually belong to the Super 8 but to the hotel across the way, which meant we had to go to the other hotel for the key to get into the pool. The pool was not heated. The breakfast was minimal.

I’ve been coming for a 8years during Feb for dance competitions and have never been disappointed until this time. Our room had a very unclean smell (even though everything appeared to be clean) the odor was there as if people are definitely smoking in this non smoking room… for the price and to just sleep I never expect thrills and frills but would like the room to not stink 😞
