Location is good, room were on the nicer side for a Hampton Inn Lady at the front-desk, not very friendly
- 5/5
It was perfect for a few days staying. The staff was helpful, the room was.clean. the breakfast was average american breakfast. (More salty things,eg. Egg, bacon would be nice)
- 5/5
The Hampton Inn was clean, quiet and nearby the campus. Excelente location.

- 5/5
The staff was awesome, extremely friendly and handled business
- 5/5
plentiful free parking, welcoming staff, clean and well set up room, many breakfast options.
- 4/5
Everything was good just wanted room clean and stated it at check in but it was not cleaned or garbage removed
- 4/5
It was as expected. No refrigerator in room. That was a bummer

Location is the primary reason for staying there. The lobby and especially the furniture can use some serious cleaning. Cushions are stained and unappealing. Most staff were kind, but at times we waited and waited as there was no one available at the front desk.

Breakfast menu was great!
- 4/5
Property overall appeared a little run-down and location was not ideal. But rooms were clean and the staff very friendly and accommodating! Parking was very easy, too. Lack of mini-refrigerator and microwave in the room were detractions, as well.
- 3.5/5
Solid hotel if you are visiting the university, for example. I was able to walk to campus for my appointments no problem! Room was big and very clean and the staff were super friendly! The soundproofing of the room was good, but you still heard lots of creaking from the room above. Also, the gym was OK but pretty tiny: Only four cardio machines and no weights. There's also a pool but I didn't try it. I was at the hotel during the week, but the gym was not busy at all.

Breakfast was very basic. With very limited choices. Very old property. Old furniture and furnishings.
- 4/5
The room was a good size and clean. Staff was very friendly. I wish they had weights in the fitness center.

For $1650 for two nights you would have thought this jenky hotel could have at least provided a fridge in my room. The staff was very nice but this hotel is a total price gouger. Do NOT recommend.
- 5/5
There is a free parking lot outside. The hotel also features a free breakfast. They had 4 hots items, milk, coffee, DIY waffles, yoghurt and other items. Very decent. Both shifts of staff at the reception was friendly and helped us with some Q&A about the area and the hotel. Would stay here again.
- 5/5
Very nice staff Great location Loved the free parking
- 5/5
The free breakfast is classical and good for a start of day. The room is clean, but a little bit small space. Remember to tell the staff your room preference (e.g. university view). Otherwise, you might been assigned a corner room without view. Overall, it was a nice deal for those who visit the campus of UIUC.
- 3/5
No fridge

Superb
- 5/5
Enjoyed the breakfast, our room was great, would stay there again
- 3/5
There were little ants in the bathroom, the convenience store had minimal supplies and for a 2 night stay there was no house keeping.
- 4/5
Our beds were a little lumpy and uneven, but we were able to adapt.
- 4/5
Just okay. After a long drive, Our room was not ready for check in.

- 4/5
The best thing about the place was the staff.
- 5/5
Rooms were clean, did have a pool but we didn't swim, breakfast was good
- 5/5
Hard to find a better place if you are visiting UIUC. Great hotel. Excellent location.
- 5/5
Friendly front desk - hope we win the game at the front desk

The room was spacious but there was no refrigerator or microwave in the room or anywhere else to use.

Overall cleanliness ; friendly staff; location
- 5/5
Awesomeness at this hotel, definitely top of the line service provided by Destiny and Maria. The ladies were very nice and a joy to have come across.
- 5/5
Nice and clean.
- 5/5
Great location for hospital
- 4/5
Easily accessible to/from Hospital. Free breakfast is high quality. Staff was very courteous and helpful. Rooms were very clean. One functioning elevator was concerning. Noisy and jerky.
- 5/5
Everything, it is really close to the Illinois University where I had my meeting. Also the staff was very friendly. And the price was fair

ROOM WAS CLEAN, STAFF NOT VERY FRIENDLY.
- 5/5
Clean room
- 3/5
The hotel itself just seemed "tired" - the decor, the night staff, the out of order elevator. The location was OK - it's right behind a hospital ER, so you'll hear ambulances at all hours.
- 5/5
Clean
- 5/5
Good options
- 5/5
Very friendly and helpful staff
- 5/5
Great quick check in. The room was better than expected. Overall a great experience for the price.
- 4/5
Room was very clean and we had everything we needed. It was hot in the room even though the thermostat was set at 68. We kept turning it down to 62 but it took most of the night to cool off. Mattress was a little lumpy.

Room was clean. Front desk staff were friendly. Free breakfast was delicious!
- 5/5
Very comfortable 1 night stay. Close to campus
- 5/5
Room was spotless. Breakfast was well stocked and had plenty of options! Bed was extremely comfortable!
- 4/5
Clean, spacious room; helpful staff
- 5/5
Very clean. The couch bed was the best I’ve ever seen - thick mattress.
- 5/5
Awesome!
- 4/5
Clean room
- 5/5
This is within walking distance of campus. Restaurants are within walking distance. Staff was friendly and professional.
- 3/5
The areas to eat were not kept cleaned for the next guest. Very crowded. Food was not good and very limited selection. Room wasbfaurky decent. The front desk staff had a few issues. One of hour guests had someone to try to come into their room because the clerk booked 2 guests in the same room. My first time visiting Champaign and it was interesting. I am still waiting 7days later for the return of my deposit.
- 4/5
Fruit. Near by for our venue
- 4/5
Clean room and good breakfast.

- 4/5
The gym was to close for comfort even with only 2 people in it. Breakfast was well organized and very good. I thought I was getting the run of the meal eggs but they were actually delicious.
- 5/5
Close to my son' s dorm. Clean and quite..
- 5/5
Stayed here for a class reunion & football game. Lovely hotel. Really comfortable beds. Great location - could walk to campustown & the quad. Nice breakfast also & good coffee.
- 5/5
Nice comfortable room for a stopover during a long trip. We appreciated the friendly greeting and adequate parking.
- 5/5
Clean, nice, good breakfast, and nice side walks for morning walks
- 5/5
Staff at the front desk was amazing
- 4/5
Other rooms were very noisy - dog and baby whining/crying and the AC unit was very noisy.
- 4/5
Rooms although clean the carpet was dated and made the room feel more dingy
- 3/5
Quick check-in but receptionist shows no emotion or hospitality.
- 4/5
The hotel itself is visibly aging. So am I, hence it was a good match. Except the hotel can, and should be refreshed soon to stay competitive.
- 3/5
The property was close and convenient to all things related to travel. Restaurants, campus, gas stations, etc. The property itself was not as clean as other Hamptons I’ve stayed in. The carpets in front of elevators were matted and unkept. Crumbs in most crevasses of the chairs in dining. Obvious parts of decor were dusty. The room was within the tolerance for a one the night. The air conditioner, however, rattled and was a bit loud. The queen beds were spring mattresses and not comfortable. I’d stay here again but only if other hotels weren’t available.
- 5/5
Breakfast was great and staff friendly
- 2/5
Staff was clueless and did not clean the room after repeated reminders
- 5/5
Clean and very kind
- 3/5
Nothing great!
- 5/5
Walkable distance to dining and school. Very convenient.
- 5/5
Perfect place if you are a parent of an UIUC student.
- 5/5
The bed was almost too soft and rolled down on the outer edges but it was a comfortable enough stay. The noise from outside the room was most intolerable. Banging doors and commotion at 515 am is hard to miss.
- 4/5
Bed was not comfortable at all.
- 5/5
Great value, and the breakfast and coffee were very good. Gym area is super small,
- 4/5
Hotel very outdated Front desk workers very nice Breakfast decent
- 4/5
Good but not great. The hotel is a bit old and the pool was closed, but room size was good and the bed was comfortable.
- 4/5
Older hotel but staff and management were nice and accommodating. Breakfast was good. A couple times I had to wait a while at the front desk for someone to help me with questions. There just wasn’t anyone there or a way to find someone or tell them I was out there waiting. Maybe a bell would help? We would definitely stay here again though.
- 5/5
I left behind a bag and they kindly sent it off to UPS (I paid, of course), and it came back in two days, everything intact. I very much appreciated that.
- 4/5
Hotel was just okay. The basics were fine, but it felt a little run down. Shower was not great (poor water pressure).
- 3/5
The tub in our room was dirty and there was hair in the breakfast. The ladies handling the food did wear hair nets.
- 5/5
Very convenient to UofI.
- 5/5
Clean
- 5/5
Room was excellent. Breakfast pretty good. Location/parking superb. Staff was the best part of the stay. The front desk concierge's name was Heaven. She was polite, helpful, informative and friendly. Helped me with directions and a good place to buy gas. Would stay here again.
- 4/5
Good
- 5/5
Staff were welcoming. Gwen was very helpful and welcoming. Made my stay very pleasant. Will stay there again and recommend it to others.
- 5/5
I have been coming here all the time while my daughter was in college. It was so convenient and nice because it was located on campus. Today is graduation day so I won't be able to come for a while but I would like to thank the staff who were always kind.
- 5/5
Staff was friendly and convenient to downtown
- 5/5
Loved the colors/decor. The staff was very friendly and helpful, the food was very good. I will definitely come to stay here again!
- 5/5
Mark, at the front desk worker was fantastic, super friendly, accommodating. He should praise with a raise

Great place
- 4/5
Good enough for college visits
- 2/5
Plumbing problems in bathroom, staff not great, breakfast just ok. Will not stay again.
- 4/5
Complimentary breakfast is good.
- 5/5
Walking distance from University campus.
- 1/5
Lying freaks at this hotel, they assured me shuttle availability, but I had to get uber to and from hotel. Breakfast was very bad. Dirty sheets and bed bugs, I could not wait to get out. No elevator.
- 5/5
Love the free coffee and breakfast, especially light roast and decaf options. Especially appreciate the long hours on breakfast (to 10 not just 9). Good healthy food choices too. Main reason we stay at Hampton Inns.
- 5/5
Room and breakfast area were clean. Across from campus, and within a one mile walk of many of the activities/places I was in the area for. Reasonable American-style restaurant in shared parking lot. (Perkins)
- 4/5
Very convinence place and good parking lot. Most og staff are nice and friendly. Amenities are very limited.
- 5/5
Close to campus. One of two elevators only worked so we ended up taking the stairs a lot.
- 4/5
The staff was engaged and helpful. The room featured a handsome dark wood desk/wardrobe along one wall. Overall, it was a very nice, if outdated room. There was nary a USB outlet in site, and the loose electrical outlets that things just fall of that you find in rooms a bit long in the tooth. I did really like the room, and the housekeeping seemed to be very good. I only ding the room for cleanliness because of a problem with the bathtub that was beyond housekeeping's control. The bathtub would not fully drain of water because it appeared to be sunken in the middle. Water appeared to have been repeatedly sitting in there for many hours at a time. There was staining in the middle of the tub, and a low ring around the tub. This very nice room should not have been available for use because of this one problem. A problem that staff could not help me with because the hotel was full. This unacceptable was not the fault of the staff I told about this problem. The responsibility for this probably not to code tub falls fully on management and ownership. I never thought I would see this at a Hampton Inn. I have attached a photo I took 24 hours after trying to get the water down the drain with a towel after I took a shower. You can see the small puddle of water still there, the ovalish area of discoloration showing the general outline of the depression, and the disgusting ring around the tub.
- 5/5
great breakfast
- 5/5
Very nice service
- 4/5
We love that Perkins is right in the parking lot.
- 4/5
Decent
- 2/5
The mattress was awful. Extremely uncomfortable and seemed very cheap. Same thing with the pillows. Overall the hotel was fairly quiet except when there was a screaming laughing girl outside my room at 2 AM.
- 5/5
It's very walkable to the University of Illinois. They have a great breakfast in the morning and a restaurant right next door.
- 4/5
Everything was excellent. The continental breakfast was disappointing. The scrambled eggs tasted like powder, not real eggs.. Everything was carbs. There was no protein other than a milk. The bagels were rockhard. I could not cut through it to put it in the toaster. The bananas were bruised. There was no cranberry juice rather a strawberry kiwi water mixture. Just not what I expected for a continental breakfast. Everything else in the hotel was excellent, but I was disappointed with the breakfast.
- 3/5
Wouldnt rate anything above average. Everything was just okay. Everything youd expect from a 3-star hotel. Worst part was the shower. It puddled water in the bottom from the night before, and there was visible dirt on the shower floor.
- 3/5
Room amenities or non-existent.
- 3/5
This place is old, out-dated, dusty, dingy, and the front desk staff talks a lot of crap about all of their guests while huddled in the back office. Sounded like a bunch of cackling birds. Pillows smelled like cologne and doesn't even have a microwave, fridge, or operation coffee maker. Skip this place. There is nothing historical feeling about this place except the dust in the carpets.
- 5/5
Very courteous staff and excellent customer service! We liked the breakfast too!!!
- 1/5
You should have honest info on your sites.
- 5/5
O
- 2/5
Nobody let us know the indoor pool broken. This is the only reason we booked this location. If we had known about the pool, we definitely would not have stayed here. One of the two elevators was broken & the one that was working had an out of date inspection certificate.
- 3/5
It was just ok
- 3/5
The pool was closed upon arrival. This would have been nice to know because this is one of the main reasons we chose this hotel. We are traveling with kids and this was a major downfall to our trip.
- 3/5
Staff was excellent but the property was not up to par. Some gym equipment did not work properly. Pool was not available. Only one elevator was working. The carpeting in the elevator that was working was very worn and stained.
- 4/5
Great stay!
- 4/5
Room had no fridge or microwave. Bathtub drain was clogged and had nasty residues. Breakfast was great though. So much to choose from and good food!
- 3/5
Property is showing its age. Staff was excellent. Pool was out of service. Some gym equipment did not work properly.
- 4/5
Frustrated that the pool and spa were out of order. Would be nice if that info was available prior to booking.
- 5/5
The staff were very helpful and hospitable. The rooms were clean and comfortable. Would definitely recommend this place.
- 5/5
Overall staff preparations , killing linus and friendly people. Overall staff preparations, killing Linus and friendly people.
- 5/5
Very easy and comfortable. Super friendly staff at front desk.
- 3/5
Why are there NO refrigerators in the room? I will need to find a different hotel for my next stay.
- 5/5
The staff here is incredibly nice! Everyone was personable and friendly. The room was spacious and the morning breakfast provided was enough to get my day started on the right track.
- 4/5
Nice hotel. Some rooms don't have refrigerator.
- 5/5
Rose was very helpful on check in.
- 5/5
I stayed there because it was pet-friendly and close to my event at Illinois.
- 5/5
The staff were so accommodating and friendly. I would suggest calling the front desk for reservations however because they had a hospital rate much cheaper than what I paid on Expedia.
- 5/5
There to watch daughter play softball. Staff was awesome at check in. Conveniently located close to softball field.
- 5/5
Everyone that works at this hotel was amazing
- 3/5
The room did not have Microwave or kettle or refrigerator as shown while booking the room though it had a coffee maker. The general condition of the property was not great and it was rundown and the rooms are depressing as it has only one window and the room is dark coloured. The breakfast was good and staff (lady in particular during breakfast) is very cordial.
- 5/5
Outstanding location…ultra clean…can not do better in Champaign Urbana!
- 3/5
Worn. Dirty. Adequate but nothing special
- 1/5
Expedia do not promote this property it is run down and old condition they only have refrigerator in high in room one microwave in the lobby. Bed was one of the worst I have stayed in in a long time and room very unclean. Awful
- 4/5
Easy access to the Interstate. Great breakfast, as always.
- 5/5
Good location to access the University
- 1/5
I reserved this specific hotel because it said they're are pillow top beds. There are NOT!! Room 423 had a regular beef and c we didn't find out until bedtime which by that time it was too late.
- 4/5
Good
- 2/5
The staff was not friendly at all, when asked to send some tooth brush in the room, that said no, i had to go myself. House keeping was also done alternate days. The second day i did not have towels, so i asked when you are sending the housekeeping, they said later in the afternoon, I had to stay without shower until later afternoon. The price wise, they were charging as if it is five star hotel.
- 4/5
Rooms need to be updated.
- 5/5
Close to campus
- 4/5
Good property and good service. Nothing very special but more than adequate. Carpets could use some cleaning. Close to UIIC campus
- 4/5
Very nice hotel in a convenient location. Only problem was that the person at the check-in counter lacked training and had trouble dealing with a prepaid reservation.
- 5/5
Great Wi-Fi
- 4/5
Fine
- 5/5
I liked the swimming pool and workout facility. I there were microwaves in the rooms.
- 4/5
Staff was very helpful and friendly. Rooms were clean and updated. Breakfast was great. I definitely would stay here again.
- 5/5
Staff was friendly and welcoming. Our room was clean and quiet.
- 5/5
Lovely stay here while attending new student registration with my son at UIUC. The room was clean, spacious and comfortable. Easy waking distance to campus. Would definitely stay here again.
- 4/5
Oo
- 3/5
Older property, good condition.
- 3/5
For the price they charge for a king room you would think they would have a refrigerator and microwave but nope
- 5/5
Close to campus and convenient parking.
- 4/5
Beds were not the cleanest but overall it’s fine. Really close to UIUC if that’s where you’re visiting.
- 4/5
Overall really nice hotel. I wish room had fridge.
- 5/5
The hotel really needs an update - the bed was not very comfortable. But it was clean and the staff were very nice.
- 5/5
Very clean. Friendly staff. Breakfast was very nice. The Perkins restaurant is right next door and is also clean with friendly people and awesome food!
- 3/5
Showing its age
- 4/5
The staff were very helpful and kind. The mattresses were lumpy and felt old...
- 4/5
Great breakfast
- 4/5
I’m good.
- 5/5
GOOD
- 5/5
Proximity to university and quietness
- 4/5
No mini fridge in room.
- 3/5
One of the two elevators was broken with a Science Competition in town. Made it hard to get to the upper floors. Room was clean but for $438 for one night you expect more.
- 2/5
Had to move to different room because toilet ran all the time. The new room was very noisy and the people above us stomped didn’t sleep much and the front desk lady didn’t seem to care and wasn’t very nice. Won’t be staying there again.
- 3/5
One of the elevators was not working.. ok, things break, but it’d be great if front desk staff tries to help patrons.. show some hospitality instead of instructing customers to refill the coffee creamer by going under the table to open a box to restock. Expected more with the price per night and brand.
- 1/5
Never, never stay here.
- 4/5
It was a nice stay. We did have to switch rooms because the toilet wasn't working. After the switch, it was fine. We did find an ant near the tv stand. Other than those two, we were comfortable with our stay at the Hampton Inn and Suites.
- 2/5
Water doesn't simply go fast enough and hotel shouldn't give it anyone until they fix it.
- 1/5
Hotel is dirty, and old and falling apart. Rooms are freezing cold. Elevators are dirty. Hotel is not worth the cost to stay. The worst hotel I stayed at.
- 2/5
Internet is not free. No fridge. No decaf coffee.
- 4/5
Easy walk to the University of Illinois campus.
- 4/5
We were within walking distance of our daughter’s dissertation at university of Illinois college of engineering. There is a Perkins next door. Convenient to other restaurants. Friendly, welcoming staff. Nice breakfast. Although we were a few minutes early to eat, the kitchen staff offered to fix us a hot meal. Very nice!!
- 3/5
Check-in was a bit rough (online check-in didn't work properly, digital key didn't issue properly) but otherwise a good stay. Well-kept clean property. Great location for visiting UIUC.
- 4/5
The staff was great and the hotel is clean and fresh looking. I believe the hotel listing was misleading as it listed pool and hottub, the staff indicated the hottub has been filled in awhile ago. In addition, the beds were not particularly comfortable being over firm and a bit lumpy.
- 5/5
Good stay
- 5/5
Debi was great!
- 4/5
Bed was horrible, felt like a motel 6 bed. Very old and bouncy. Water pressure in shower was awful.
- 5/5
It was nice and cozy, parking is good and it’s close to north campus and Carle hospital
