The hotel is under remodeling/reconstruction. However, everything has been great. Nice, CLEAN amenities, great staff, and a great location. Best hotel I have stayed at in years!

The breakfast quality was very poor with very limited choices. We stayed in a queen suite that included a refrigerator, microwave, and dishwasher, but surprisingly there was no kitchenette. The room size was also very small. Overall, the quality of the hotel felt below a 3-star standard.

As always I had a very restful night with a wonderfully comfortable bed, clean room, very nice breakfast and hotel is located in a shopping mall with plenty of dining options and a theater.

The property is currently under construction. There is no gym or pool.

Room was extra clean and looked like we were the first ones to occupy. Breakfast was good for all the days we stayed. It’s only a walkable distance to some shops across the street. Overall it was an excellent stay.

Construction going on the property lots of dust I was sick all night dew to dust. My wife didn’t like the dirty place.

The location is very convenient. The renovation work was not a real problem. Like this hotel.

There was construction in progress around the hotel, but my room was like brand new. I loved it and breakfast was great

I should’ve known better about the location. Proximity to 880 and major local roads, thus very noisy. We were on the top 4th floor but could hear the constant traffic. Poor insulation or maybe because the room was facing the streets.

The room smell like new paint we had to leave the window open all night. Restroom door was like a barn yard door it slides close but still was an open you could see in. Door going in/out of room slammed very hard be careful with little kids. Closest had a curtain for the door. But the kitchen was nice and refrigerator/freezer was a good size. Maybe when all the construction is over it would be worth staying again.

Room was superb, staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The only issue was “hot” breakfast was cold. Oh, well, could have been much worse!

Did not even stay I left . Staff was friendly. No pool . And that's the only reason we wanted to go . I guess it's under construction.

There was nothing that stood out above standard to poor for this facility. The location was good given my travel reason but nothing else. Staff were not helpful and seemed annoyed at requests: Issues: Breakfast was subpar- Powdered eats and watered down juice, Under construction so pool was closed, no sheets given for fold out, not give the room requested, no hand soap in the restroom, room phone did not work , internet weak, only two towels given for 3 guests, toilet was repaired with Hvac tape. Ice machine did not work ,and when items such as sheets were requested staff could not bring them to the room.

I understood they're would be noise due to construction but the entire building and floors were under construction. They're would certain times of the day when they're was minimal heat, ceilings in the hallways were exposed creating more cold as well as the stairways. Some of the people at the front desk were friendly and the breakfast was good but furniture was very worn out. Room was nicely decorated and clean

Though under renovations at this time, rooms are clean and bedding’s are fresh. Shower and bathroom are very nice. Room was spacious with big ref, microwave and even sink. The staff were courteous and very accommodating esp when we request an urgency for early check-in. They tried their best to accommodate us the best they can. Will definitely stay with Holiday Inn again next time.

Weekend visit was great, very quiet, not crowded during breakfast.

It’s next to a big shopping mall and there are quite a few restaurants near by. Felt good except my room’s key didn’t work most of the time and i had to change the room the next day. The breakfast was good with three hot items and regular stuff. Will stay at this place again.

Rooms were nice clean. Bed’s comfortable. Lots of nice restaurants and shopping within walking distance. The only downfall was the hotel is under construction.

Even with the construction going on, everything was clean. Noise was at a minimum and customer service was excellent!

For starters, it was being renovating. A lot of noise but was understandable. Front end was a little aggressive when I was asking questions. Not friendly at all. She might need to go back and take some courses on how to greet and meet.

The price was comparable in the area BUT I was not notified the facility was under construction. I was forced to sign a form stating that I knew and was informed there was work being done on the facility and there was no access to the pool and other areas in the building. Access to the entrance was also very difficult.

The cable stopped working while I was watching the game. I went down to speak with front desk manager Maria. She came up to the room to see what the issue could be. She was very apologetic and also trying to resolve the issue as quickly as possible. She went and checked if the cable was working in a different room. She went down stairs to call comcast only to find out there was an outage in the area. She was very helpful and apologetic she even offered me an updated rook which I really appreciated.

If you have a room that faces the road, then there was a lot of noise, car engines rumbling thru the night. I asked them to get the room changed, they said they are completely sold out for the next 2 nights! which could be true I guess, but I was not able to sleep well. walls and glass is too thin. If you get a room which opens up in the back or towards the pool, then you should be ok. would not stay here again tho.

The staff was very friendly, however, many things did not work here. The wifi connection was terrible and being here for a business trip that made it very difficult to do my work. The vending machines did not work, and the constant playing of Fox "News" in the breakfast room was very obnoxious. The workout room everything was sticky (I think due to the type of peroxide based cleaner they used which is not good for exercise equipment). The mattress felt a bit old. Positives: the rooms were very clean and the pillows were also very fluffy and there were four pillows which I loved. I would likely choose another hotel in future.

The only thing that bothered us was there were signs warning to distance from others which I haven’t seen since Covid, along with other Covid warnings in the elevator, in the lobby, sterile soap dispensers and the man at the desk wore a mask, it was much too much for us, like pandemic all over again. It wasn’t like that before. Just for that I gave a much lower rating!

They have been working on the place since October’23 and don’t expect to be finished until March’24. Bed was very comfortable shower head terrible. Breakfast decent. Elevator slow and falling apart. Room was pretty clean. Corridors didn’t seem to have heat. I might stay again after they finish work.

This hotel definitely meet and succeed the 2 stars expectations. The building is older but renovations are taking place. Luckily I didn't get any noise interruptions during my 2 nights stay. The work is from 9am to 5pm and I was mostly out during that time. Breakfast is really good. The room is fairly clean but looks outdated. They will need to modernize this hotel to get to a 3 stars hotel. I don't know if that is what they are aiming for. It's in union city shopping area, close to shops and restaurants. I did hear a lot of police cars and fire trucks. Windows are definitely not sound proof. I would stay here again.

Stay was amazing I just wish they would’ve had a tub with jets.. It would be Awesome could be a lil more sexy like mirrors next to the beds.. @:)-

This is a great hotel if you want a quick stop over just literally to sleep and shower in. As I was out most of the day I really needed to somewhere to drop my stuff and be able to get a good nights sleep and I found this very well here. The staff our reception were very friendly and help me with the directions. It’s had great food locations within the retail park . The hotel is under going construction but this did not both me. The hotel was room was cleaned each day with fresh towels given. Breakfast was free which was mostly eggs, bacon , cereal , toast , juices and coffees. Please note that hotel is literally great for a stop over and sleep.

I am deeply upset with Hotels.com - this hotel is UNDER CONSTRUCTION all day/all night, 7 days a week -- you do NOT see this on Hotels.com. The staff there said it is supposed to be in BIG letters. They were incredibly kind but it was an awful stay - had hoped to enjoy the pool - literally every floor is under construction...little scary feeling and fire alarms/microwave alarms kept going off - took my daughter and did not feel comfortable. Breakfast was great and staff was lovely - that was the only redeeming factor

It would have been valuable to know that this property was under construction including the pool before we booked. There were people camping in between the storage containers for construction late at night in the parking lot and my kids were bummed about not getting to swim. None of this was communicated before we booked. Very disappointing.

We booked this property to enjoy our holidays with kids. We planned to use the pool and hot tub. People didn’t inform us that their pool has been shutdown for maintenance. Rooms quality is just average. Disappointed

I was really disappointed when I got to the hotel because the property is under renovation. I didn't see the renovation situation posted on Hotels.com when I made the reservation. If I would have known, I would have selected another property.

The property was under construction and we were not told until we got there and too late to cancel and the pool was closed so my grandson was very disappointed and I’m disappointed we were not told ahead of time .

According to the sign in the elevator, this property is under construction until January 2025. The water kept getting turned off, and the front desk told us that there has been a lot of vandalism and break-ins to cars in the parking lot. There was a lot of noise during the day and the pool and hot tub were not available for use due to construction. If this had been known before booking I would have booked elsewhere.

The hotel advertised that they had a nice pool and spa. This was one of the main reasons that we chose the hotel. On arrival, we found that the pool and spa were closed for renovation. Why did they not explain this in their booking ad?

Front desk was amazing and checked us in super fast. We were in room 307 and the fire sprinkler next to the bathroom and entry was leaking water all night!! Sounded like a coffee maker above us was on and flooding the floor above us. Kept myself and kids up all night listening to the dripping. Also the refrigerator compressor was thumping all night!!

The kicker was the warning from the clerk that the Police Department advised them to let all customers know that crime including vehicle break in and robbery are high .

During our stay the were doing a remodel. So, no pool plus the place looked grimy because of the remodel.

Alarm going off during the night both nights. Unknown cause. Heavy machinery backing up, beeping, banging, and reving each morning at 0400. Unsafe area with warnings at night.

I always enjoy staying at the Holiday Inn Express. They are very friendly and the rooms are clean, and comfortable. I would recommend this place to anyone who travels to the area.

Only trouble was finding it. Small sign on street and none on building. I drove around in the area for more than 40 minutes looking for it and finally asked at a restaurant in this large shopping complex. Even so I did not find it immediately

I can’t complain for the price. The hotel is a little outdated but they are working on the hotel at the time of my stay. I lost my license in the parking lot and only found out when the front desk employee called me. Very profesional and due to this I can tell they went above and beyond to make sure the ID got back to its owner. Overall the stay was pleasant. Breakfast had the usual and was good. Customer service which I believe is the most important part of a business is a 10/10. Im a little spoiled when it comes to beds so I wish there was something softer but again… that’s just a personal thing. Overall. I can say that I would come back when visiting Union City

Clean and comfortable rooms, very good room cleaning service. no complaints. Food variety for breakfast was a bit limited for me. The 4 slice toaster too slow to toast the bread even at max settings. Coffee can be better.
