Dwaraka The Royal Villas

Great property. Pools everywhere, excellent spa, great bar and restaurant on site. Close to main strip of town. Rooms a bit dark so hard to see much in your bags/the room but not really an issue at all

Property is very nostalgic and antique and room is very clean.Morning walk to the rice terrace.Swimming Pool was amazing view,and restaurant food were delicious. Massage. When I went to massage bath towels were wet, I explained but they said they changed, but really uncomfortable by moisture. They changed but unhappy, they changed the bath towels but they didn’t close the door, we were nude.It was terrible experience. Shuttle bus pick up time was terrible especially 4:00 pm, there has traffic, I tell them traffic time should change the pick up time 4:30 pm to write or more frequently bus should come and pick up. We were waiting 4:05 pm bus in the end bus arrived at 4:35pm. No one’s fault but this is everyday, and sometimes too many passengers were waiting when bus arrived 9:00pm, everyone rush to the bus. Almost we couldn’t seated.Waiting so long and no seating will be terrible, need to improve.

Quiet and very clean The time of the shuttle bus. Because due to the traffic, always late to pick up point. Stuffs are really depends on the people. Two I really don’t like were massage ladies. Especially yesterday the towel was wet, I explained and asked them to touch. They were unhappy and told me that towels were not wet, I think the moisture changed the towels wet, I asked them to touch, it was very uncomfortable. We were full nude but they open the door full open and unhappy face to change the bath towel. It was my birthday, who brought me the girl and a man were very nice and kind. She remembered me always nice to me in the restaurant. The man walked with us in the morning in the rice field. He arrived late by accident for the rain and he is living really far from this area, but he apologised us and after that kindly took us around the field. He was nice. Depends on the people, sometimes I don’t like the What’s App reception’s message but again depends on the people who reply.

Some stairs could use handraios

This property is exceptional. We loved it. Paradise. We rented the two bedroom fellow with pool and we really enjoyed all of the amenities and decor. The restaurant was excellent. We enjoyed breakfast and tea each day. The pools were amazing. Not a thing.

The layout of the facility is unusual, with a maze of outdoor stairs and corridors leading to different portions of the complex. Some might find this charming. Others might find it tedious.

10/10 would stay here again and recommend. Beautiful pools. Incredible gardens. Lovely staff. The beds were a bit more firm than I’m used to but not a big deal for a few nights.

The staff are amazing, the room has so many thoughtful touches (eg mosquito repellant), the gardens and pool were absolutely beautiful. It felt like a sanctuary in the busyness of Ubud. The only con was that it was very warm on a few of the nights, and our aircon and fan didn’t work effectively to cool the room. We ended up having a couple of nights where we couldn’t sleep well because we were too hot.

Delicious breakfast and beautifully designed villa. I loved the interior design and the Balinese sculptures! The hotel provides hourly free shuttle that takes you to the main area of Ubud. Staff was welcoming and friendly. Thank you!

We had the most wonderful stay. We loved the design and architecture of the villa complex. We watched the men prune and care for the trees each morning. The most beautiful mineral pool I have ever seen. Great food and warm service. We slept well and swam at least three times a day! It was exactly what we needed. We would love to return some day. Other guests garbage; beer bottles, full ash trays and cigarette packs were left lying on the ground were left around the main pool until near mid day from the night before. This happened a few times over our stay and staff were not quick to clean it up for other guests to enjoy the space. I did not enjoy people flying drones around the pool.

Poor upkeep and maintenance. Mosquitoes, lizards, and cockroaches were all present in the room. We requested the cancellation of our 5-day booking. Fortunately the hotel agreed to our request and we booked 4 days in another hotel. Very dissapointing experience. The website photos and comments are not accurate and reflect a false image of the hotel. Staff were untrained and could not communicate with us. In all a very exasperating experience. Everything.

Exceptional

The grounds and villas were beautiful and very well maintained. Inconsistency with room cleaning. Some days they wouldn’t replace glasses and mugs if they had liquid in them, they didn’t replenish the mini bar and the toilet paper was very thin which was not consistent with a four star property.

Beautiful garden, nice private pools, wonderful Villas for a family.
