From where do I start! The most amazing stay ever at black penny! Honestly the best experience ever and the best decision of our whole Bali trip! The hotel is wonderful clean, and cozy! The staff is the cherry on top! Honestly wow! Never met more friendly and professional people! Sri & Deska & Matcho thank you all for being wonderful! Thank you for making my partner’s birthday an amazing memory ♥️ i have asked for a private dinner to be organized and everything was done 100% amazing! + the food there is amazing! The breakfast was wonderful and the dinner was tasty! Thank you Black Penny! We will definitely be back ♥️ Nothing!

I arrived before the official check-in time and was informed that the villa was still being prepared, which I completely understand. I went for a walk around the area and returned after the check-in time. However, I still had to wait again before the villa was ready. Although the wait was a bit inconvenient, everything else was great and the overall stay was very pleasant.

The villa was spacious, very clean, and offered great privacy. The views were amazing, and the staff were super friendly and helpful. You can hear some sounds from the surroundings and the corridor.

The AC broke down each night on our 3 days stay and also the hot water was not available, we had to call them each time to address the issue which was very inconvenient. They tried to compensate for the lost time and comfort but honestly it was just too inconvenient to keep asking for these basic amenities. Also limited breakfast options.

Everything! Pool is amazing and staff is exceptionally nice Absolutely nothing

Only view is amazing, but that’s only until sunset. After that, nothing can be seen at all. Ants, fogs, lizard, other animals which I only could here their voices was inside the room. I have stayed for 2 nights thinking this will be the best stay but ended up with the worst stay. After the first night I told them about the ants and all, they said there an scheduled fog spray. However, nothing changed in the second night. In both nights we had the plates from dinner left inside the room, in the morning we found the ants and mosquitos are having fun on the plates. Even the floating breakfast, it was full of ants which clearly shows that they are not cleaning properly not even before serving. Only 1 staff could speaks good english, everyone else didn’t understand a word other than ok. Pool didn’t have heater, so the pool was redundant, you can stay in the pool for maybe half an hour, then you will be freezing. Note that to reach the room you need to go down some steps. Not easy access at all. Not 100% private, there are so many exposed locations especially the bathroom, can be easily seen from anyone who comes close to wall at the steps (area between both room)

View is amazing, food was perfect. We tried the candle night dinner and everything was perfect about it. All jungle animals can easily go inside the room. The room had so many ants we also saw a gecko on the roof just above the bed. The floating breakfast basket had so many ants which means it was dirty and not cleaned properly before they served to us. Only reception woman speaks good english, all others can only understand couple of words. Although view was amazing, but that’s only during day time, after that nothing can be seen at all. On both nights we heard frogs and other animal voices just outside our room roof or next to our pool (within our area), although they said they did fog spray, but nothing changed at all. They said that they change and clean the towels but the towels was not clean and there is a dark spots.

The place is very calm and the staff was so friendly and customer service was 100/10 The problem I faced was with the food selection for breakfast it was very limited, the sound isolation was bad I can hear everyone on top of my room and beside my room.

Amazing attention to service. The staff is incredibly nice and will go the extra mile for you. The view from our terrace / swimming pool and the restaurant on the forest was so relaxing , even when the weather was not the best. We had breakfast and dinner at the restaurant everyday , we enjoyed some excursions organized by the hotel and we enjoyed a massage at a sister hotel. The furniture and decoration goes very well with the vibe of Ubud. I recommend without hesitation for a couple or even with a friend if you look for peaceful and relaxation Nothing
