The views were amazing. The food excellent and offered a variety for many tastes. The service impeccable. Their price point was excellent and we frankly do not know how competitive resorts could improve upon Abisena. The traffic to and from the city center was horrible. It made getting to and from any dinner or day event we scheduled extremely time consuming when taking a car for the two of us. We had to plan accordingly. But this was not an item the resort can impact. Although them offering to personally take and pick us up from was helpful and appreciated.

To many stairs, i did more cardio going to the breakfast than walking in Ubud

Amazing place to stay, from the get go we were greeted and made to feel like royalty. Room Had a fabulous outdoor pool but we also made use of the main infinity pool. The staff were incredible, attentive and kind. The resort offered so many inclusive shows and sunset drinks every night which was a lovely additional perk. We enjoyed the internal spa, and jacuzzi and sauna. You name it, this place has it and more. Everything was perfection!

This hotel is amazing if you are looking for a relaxing out of the world and switch off for a few days without a single disturbance it’s the place to go to , the staff is amazing and very helpful the rooms are very clean and exactly like the photos I will be there for sure next time I come I recommend everyone to stay here . The food was more than amazing

Property is very well maintained and very clean. You can enjoy the facilities in the hotel and enjoy your food with a view. Ugh the views are beautiful I can never get tired of the beautiful nature in and around the hotel. There were a lot of stairs. Don’t expect there’ll be an elevator or escalator.

Stunning resort - picture perfect hotel. Pool area was beautiful, it isn’t huge but it is very quiet as some rooms have their own pools. We stayed a week and I had around 3-4 afternoons by the pool and had it to myself! The sunbeds are really comfy too. I am not sure how many rooms they have in total and they had only been open a year when we visited so not sure if they were full but I think you got a lot in terms of the views and the jungle pool without the busyness you’d get at a jungle/pool club which makes it so much more lux. Rooms - huge rooms, great big comfy beds which they cleaned/remade twice a day with fresh towels. Huge balcony space with the sound of the river running by and room always stocked with water. Breakfast - there was a small buffet style (pastries/fruit) and then hot food was ordered off menu but they were happy to alter things and this was delicious - especially the crispy eggs Benedict! We haven’t had a breakfast this way before in a hotel, usually it would be all buffet style but it was all cooked fresh and was very tasty so we thought this worked really well and stops waste too. And all enjoyed with a beautiful view. Staff - couldn’t do enough for you, helped us renting a motorbike and generally nothing was too much. Very welcoming and always cheery. Other - the food in the upstairs restaurant is amazing, we would usually go into UBUD but we had an early start one day so stayed at the hotel for food the night before and honestly was one of my favourite meals. The lounge food is a bit more chilled but still good. The location is around 25 mins from UBUD so you would probably need to rent a bike/or get a driver to get around and see the sites but I think it makes for a lovely Calm and quiet place to stay and relax after busy days in the hustle and bustle. Spa - good gym space and very quiet. We used the jacuzzi it wasn’t too warm but it was a nice space. Nothing we didn’t like The air con was a little temperamental towards the end of our stay it was making strange noises. Unfortunately the last 2 nights of our stay we had guests above us who sounded like they were rearranging the room all night which hindered our sleep. This isn’t the hotels fault at all but a suggestion could be to put something soft on the bottom of chairs/tables so if guests do feel the need to rearrange the furniture at midnight then it doesn’t scuff the floor or bother the guests below as much ?. There’s quite a lot going on at the hotel and we weren’t aware until our last night they have canapés every afternoon/evening and there is also a free cocktail - we might have been told this but we arrived at 2am and were half asleep.

Friendly staff, good atmosphere. Calm and relaxing Food is not bad, but can be better for such a great place.

The property was absolutely beautiful! We had a wonderful stay and would highly recommend it to couples seeking a relaxing experience. The staff were incredibly kind and helpful throughout our visit. A special thank you to Abisena for making our vacation truly memorable!
