The hotel has a beautiful property with a well-kept pool area, and the staff is generally friendly and helpful. However, there are inconsistencies in service and cleanliness, and some rooms need updating.

The place is so nice unfortunately we have the bad experience that the bed where I put my kids when we lift the bed sheets in between has a lot of hairs what told me they don’t change the sheets between guests

The pool area was very nice, good location. The patio door had gaps, ac was very loud, beds were okay, small room with no place to sit

Clean rooms, self-parking for free, excellent breakfast buffet - on patio dogs are allowed. Front desk staff - variable - from very helpful to quite unfriendly. Staff cleaning rooms very attentive. Nice place for guests with dogs. Very dog friendly.

La Posada is my go to Hotel in Tucson. It is comfortable and tastefully decorated, and it has a delicious breakfast and beautiful grounds to enjoy!

Great breakfast, peaceful pace, close to shopping and the casita was exactly what we needed- 100% recommended to stay in one of the casitas. Thank you!

For being a $20 resort fee, it was lackluster and the employee informed us. There was no pool towels with no further solution therefore we had to walk back and use our bathing towels. They were a little spots of black mold in the shower. No comforters and went to the closet to grab some of the spare blankets in which there was hair and dirt spots on it.

I liked the area for mountain views and restaurants, stores nearby, and breakfast offered. However, the images posted online do not match on-site upon arrival. The lobby has old furniture, smells musty, paint chipping away on ceiling. The entire property requires remodeling, new beds, taller toilets, bathrooms outdated, room booked had 1 bed that looked like a canoe and beds not comfortable. Room also smelled like animal urine. Only stayed 1 night and canceled 2nd night. Also patio furniture is faded and torn, and same issue around the pool. The staff was friendly and helpful but I will not be booking at this resort again. Thank you

The walls are extremely thin and you can hear everything in the rooms. Also, we picked the place based on having on site food/restaurant. The restaurant was only open 4 -8 during the week and it was a buffet breakfast. Most of the time those hours did not work for us. Staffing was also very sparse for the restaurant.

This property was a gem. It was a quick getaway we loved the grounds and the breakfast, bar and free smores the pool was nice and relaxing. Most of all it was 100% pet friendly. Thank you for the nice stay

Great location easily accessed room with spacious bottled water was provided had a Keurig coffee maker bed was comfortable. We didn't use the pool but it was very clean and a very pretty view from the veranda where we ate breakfast (good selection on the buffet.) Located to many shops and restaurants

The Good: Fantastic Staff: Everyone was polite and welcoming. The front desk was lightning-fast whenever we needed services, like extra towels. Daniella the chef is a Star: She is hands-down your hardest working employee. Management, please get her some help—she needs and deserves an assistant! Food & Amenities: The complimentary breakfast was delicious, and the mimosas were an absolute chef’s kiss. The beds were super comfy, the pool was amazing, and the free cookie at check-in was a nice touch. The One Issue: I made my reservation on April 9th through a third-party site. I called the lodge two days before my stay to confirm and was explicitly told I was good to go with a patio room. However, at check-in, I was given a third-floor handicap room with just a window. When I called the front desk, I was told I had been bumped because third-party bookings sometimes get shifted when the hotel overbooks. I wouldn't have been upset if I hadn't called two days prior to confirm the patio room. Verdict: Despite the room mix-up, the beautiful grounds and wonderful staff made for a very nice stay. I look forward to staying here again—I'll just be booking directly next time!

convenient location, nice pool area, can see mountain on northeast of property from pool area which also looked out over deserted golf course, so felt connected beauty Arizona desert, and not urban. front desk staff very friendly, breakfast was adequate, but not great. scrambled eggs were a bit dry, they made a big deal re bottomless mimosas with breakfast, we dont really drink alcohol in the morning, afternoon refreshment would be better, but did not see where to get mimosas, and did not see anyone else with them, so seemed like empty promise that they made a big deal about. restaurant food was not great.

I Loved that the Room was Clean, Smelled Fresh, Beds made Nicely, Kuerig and Coffee, Tile Floors and I Loved the Mexican Ambiance. The Headboards were Beautiful and I like the Balcony where we could sit and Enjoy the Night Sky watching the Beautiful pool area. The Breakfast was Good and Fresh, a Little something for Everyone... It was Mother's Day Weekend and being a Get away for Us to Enjoy since our grown kids are out of state, I Forgot that other Mother's were getting away as well but with their children. The Pool was very Crowded with families all day then the evening had couples enjoying the pool, I didn't feel comfortable. The pool looked so good but I didn't get a chance to test the waters.. Families were Happy though.

The floor was filthy. Obviously never cleaned. My white socks dirtied instantly. The faucet leaked, told the front desk, they came to the room looked and said they'd fix it after we left in 4 days. Looked like it was a great property before the let it get dirty and run down. Mirrors were dirty. TV remote didnt work so i had to go get batteries first then a new remote. No towels for the dirty pool, front desk was really super slow getting them out. Dont trust the photos online, that was clrarly years ago.

The check in was fast and efficient. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The food was good breakfast, happy hour and dinner. The room was clean, little outdated but clean. There is an option to make s’mores for free at the fire pit which is great for kids. It is a great atmosphere there. Love that it is pet friendly! Our weekend stay was enjoyable and we will be returning.

Great all around
- 2/5
The room was really uncomfortable and small and there were loud drunk people almost all night. The shower and room is definitely not set up if you have little kids. Very dangerous. The pool was messy and people had alcohol cups and trash everywhere. We did not get a restful sleep either night. And the floors were SO GROSS could not walk barefoot or in socks.

The breakfast was a nice touch to our stay.

kind of like an oasis . The breakfast is excellent , and it's a peaceful place to stay . The staff doesn't bother you, yet if you need them they are right there for you . Small kids playing in the pool and hot tub after dark , I feel like they should get out after dark and let the adults have a little bit of time without all the Kaos. I mean I get it kids need to enjoy the stay also. But they were in the pool all day long !

This place is a hidden treasure. Very friendly and helpful staff, beautiful grounds, heated pool, large hot tub, clean rooms. Plenty of restaurants in the area or eat in at the hotel. The hot breakfast was a little disappointing but still acceptable. All in all a great place to stay if you're in the northwest Tucson area.

Room needs modernization and had a giant spider and spider web in the corner. Door faced outside and the main road which was loud all night. Disappointing based on previous reviews and pictures.

Handy location and easy, included parking. Our room was in a nice garden location, but at the very end of the run of rooms and WIFI was virtually non-existent. The room itself was quite spacious, with a very comfortable bed, but the other furniture was rather tired and the windows were really dirty. The included breakfast was described as ‘Superb’ but was an average Motel breakfast apart from the availability of a Mimosa. We didn’t use the pool as the pool water looked rather murky and uninviting. Unfortunately not the experience we were expecting.
- 5/5
I would have liked a bath tub
- 4/5
Great shower. Room chair was more comfortable than at most hotels. Room should have two comfortable chairs. Bed sagged to the middle-uncomfortable. I wanted to discuss a long term arrangement for the winter months. Desk clerk kindly gave me the name / number to call in California. I left message on her voice mail. No one ever returned my call.

The breakfast was pretty good. The cookies at check-in were delicious. The tile in the bathroom was really fun. Nice thick towels. The windows and doors are very old. They don’t do much to keep out the road noise or the noise on the walkway outside the room. You can see daylight around the door in the frame. The patio door barely opens. The hinges on the bathroom door squeak loudly. The beds were uncomfortable and we both woke up with sore backs. There were no real blankets on the bed. The air conditioning unit was noisy. The pool and spa were being painted and we couldn’t use them.

This hotel was a relaxing oasis for us. We especially loved the courtyard and pool area. Our room was comfortable and the staff was pleasant and helpful, and the breakfast was good too!
- 5/5
Nice breakfast. Pool was out of service, so they didn’t charge a “resort fee”. However, I don’t know what the resort fee would have covered. It was just a pool— like any Motel 6 might have.
- 5/5
Made our celebration special!
- 5/5
Overall, we would stay there again.
- 5/5
Casita worked out well for my dad's rest and prep before cancer surgery. I stayed in a double room only a few steps away.
- 3.5/5
The hotel has beautiful landscaping and the exterior is attractive. From the outside, it has a resort ambiance. It was clean and well maintained. The pool has a relaxing waterfall feature. It is in a good location and the staff is friendly. The room & pool loungers need updating. The toilet did not have a lid. The hotel could easily charge $100 more per room if they were to renovate the rooms and improve breakfast. Breakfast was subpar and the same each day. Housekeeping every three days was difficult for us. Every other day would have been easier to track and keep the handtowels stocked. The $22 resort fee should not be charged on days the pool is unavailable.

The grounds are beautiful, The staff was amazing and the food at Gringos was awesome Plus unlimited mimosas at breakfast a plus well be back for sure.... Just the no smoking on your balcony is kinda a drag.....
- 3/5
Had a nice stay. Agree with other reviews that inside was dated, but clean. Stayed here because of the southwest feel. The pool is absolutely not heated and was freezing, thank goodness the hot tub was working. they had a nice little area that you could roast marshmallows and have s’mores. Grounds are very pretty but bushes and trees are way overgrown and block the view of the mountain. at Gringos the free breakfast was good and the happy hour specials were reasonable and tasty. you are approximately a 15 minute Uber ride to the center of Tucson. overall would give it 3.75 stars . If pool was heated and rooms had updated floors and a little fine-tuning of the landscape to make the mountains more visible , this could be a 4 1/2 star property.
- 3/5
The bathroom could have been a little nicer - the toilet seat was clean but really scuffed and old. I was also disappointed that the staff who checked us in forgot to give my drivers license back; he got distracted trying to find rooms together, even though I had requested that in the reservation. I didn't notice until I got home. Thats on me - but when I called they said they had it right there and would mail it to me the next day. It never arrived and when I called back they didn't have it "but remembered seeing it around." How hard could it be to just mail it out?
- 4/5
Older rooms but comfortable with nice views from the balcony. Convenient location and we enjoyed the breakfast views and pool. Staff were helpful and friendly.
- 2/5
To start off the pool is in very terrible shape. The tiles in the pool look like they never been cleaned and have built up grime. The pool has black algae growth and missing tiles inside the pool makes you feel gross looking around and swimming in that. Pool was suppose to be heated but was broken and no one ever let us know. The staff never cleaned the pool as far as netting once for the guests during the day. Also they just left the hose to clean the pool out in the rocks. Breakfast was terrible. Potatoes tasted old and they have no non-pork options. My fiancé was severely sick inside the room due to dirty air filters and it was not comfortable. The bed is very hard and also cut myself on the bed frame because it is sticking out with a big metal piece. When we checked out we weren’t asked how our stay was or anything and my fiancé mentioned how she felt in the room and no sorry or anything accommodating just oh well you guys did request extra pillows and it may have been from the fragrance. Which I have stayed here before and that has never happened to us. The worst stay yet will not be returning until they update the property. People are paying good money to stay here and the staff should want to reflect that.

The pool was good sized with plenty of loungers, and the hottub was a bit bigger than most. There was also a fire pit, and we were invited to get fixin's for s'mores if we chose. The staff were very friendly and helpful, and we are already looking forward to our next visit. (We hope a glowing review doesn't make everyone race to grab rooms here, leaving nothing for our next trip!) ;-)

I recently stayed at this hotel and was honestly disappointed with the condition of the room, especially considering the fees they charge. The space feels outdated and clearly overdue for a remodel. From worn furniture to aging fixtures, it’s obvious that little investment has been made in maintaining or upgrading the rooms. Even basic elements like the carpeting, lighting, and bathroom amenities felt tired and in need of attention. I would not recommend staying here unless improvements are made.
- 4/5
Very nice vibe. The two bartenders were pleasant and even willing to learn how to make different drinks that they had never heard of. The only thing that wasn’t pleasant was that the pillows were like paper. No fluff, and the website says there is a crib, but there were no cribs when I asked the hostess at the site. The breakfast is like a typical hotel breakfast.

Pool itself was a bit dated and needed updated , as confirmed by the mainainence personel who stated he was going to update it . The biggest complaint was the spa area was not monitored and , despite sign saying NO children under 12 , was being used as a kiddie pool by multiple small children (about 5-8 years old) so we were unable to enjoy it . Brought it to staff attention 3 times , who said they would take care of it , but never did. Very disappointinting !

Their house keeping was short staffed the day we arrived so our check in was significantly delayed. The man at the front desk was apologetic and kind. We were able to talk with the manager and he said he would comp us one night. We are still waiting on that since we paid through a third party. Hopefully that will end up happening and not get forgotten. It was a great location. Bartenders at the restaurant were great. Loved the pool area. The rooms were okay. Our bathroom had a funky smell but nothing too overwhelming or overbearing. Would definitely stay here again!

This hotel looks like it is in a rural location. In fact it is directly on a highway, and surrounded by too many fences and railings which ruin the view, which they show on the website, but you do not get a view from any of the rooms, which are quite dark. The only view is from the upstairs eating area bnut you have to go out on the balcony to see it. The restaurant has shutters all around it to shield from the sun. It is dark and depressing and the food quality is average. We got an upgrade to a casita which did have a microwave and fridge which was appreciated. The back window was unclean and you look into a fence. Our toilet ran continuously and had a chipped seat. They only clean and tidy the rooms every third day. Staff were friendly and helpful.

We got down graded on the room. It took two days for the TV to get repaired. They did not follow through on promises made about getting into our room we paid for. They overbooked and we got bumped into a cheaper room with no refund.

We had a suite with a little bar area, but there were no glasses. Just plastic cups. Since they advertised a restaurant on premises (and it was attached), I went to the front desk to ask for a couple of glasses. Because the restaurant was closed (it was a Sunday but not late) the front desk clerk said he couldn’t just slip into the bar and get a couple of glasses. So we drank wine out of a thin plastic glass while enjoying our ‘suite.’ Since the restaurant was closed we had to get back out to go to dinner. Lovely grounds, but not what I would call a resort.

The room was clean. Probably the worst mattress we slept on during our whole trip. Staff was friendly and helpful. The only issue was parking and the pool. Parking was crowded with limited handicapped parking. Pool was dirty. The sides of the pool had scum and the jacuzzi had gravel and sand in it.

The casita was absolutely adorable. It was roomy, had a great jacuzzi tub and was extremely private. The price wasn’t that much more than a standard room too! Will definitely book this again.

Staff was amazingly courteous. Brittney is a perfectly bubbly bartender, she knows her city and her love for it is very palpable. The Happy Hour chicken and steak tacos were uh-mazing and the guacamole was SO good. Kudos👏 to the chef! Breakfast was also tasty, hot and good selection. Maintenance/pool staff very friendly. The grounds are beautiful and well tended. The pool and hot tub were relaxing. The rooms although clean and well kept, are a tad bit dated. Could use more outlets. The only complaint would be the tiny toilet (honestly thought there would be thr little square 1ply sheets we uswd ro ger in primaryschool!) I joke.. not about the size though!..whch also happened to be missing one of the brace pieces under the ring/seat. The sliding was not fun! We had a good time and will be back next time we're in Tucson! Thank yal!

The room was in good condition and the staff was very courteous. One issue we had was getting our room clean. The check-in host said as long as we had our request in before 10:00 AM, we would be on the schedule for the day. That didn't work out and a different host told us it's better to make the request the night before. It's nice they had the things we needed at the desk...clean towels, tp, tissues and our room was serviced first thing the next morning. The other disappointing thing was the pool and and spa having no heat. I know these things come up, but we are from Ohio and booked this hotel based on those amenities. We have family in AZ and will continue to shop around for the best accomodations.

The courtyard vegetation was really nice, rooms were nice. Just mattress and sheets need replacing.
- 3/5
The room stunk like sewer from the drains. Didn’t smell clean but the room was clean. Not impressed for the price I paid. I have stayed at nicer suites
- 3/5
Staff was courteous. Room was clean but very old. Restaurant, bar, pool and hot tub were all closed.
- 3/5
Room had a very bad smell. Was not clean in the bathroom. Stuff smeared on walls throughout the room.
- 5/5
Great breakfast and the pool area is beautiful.
- 5/5
Had a very pleasant stay at the hotel.
- 2/5
Staff was nice, felt bombarded with a lot of information when checking in I don’t remember 80% of it. Room was out dated, sheets were 2/10 way too thin, pillows need replacing, wasn’t very clean but smelled of strong cleaner, blackout curtains didn’t work well and the balcony light it’s annoying, tv remote was breaking, bathroom was dirty and no extra toilet paper. The soap dispenser was on the wall 6 ft up near the sink could barely reach it. Breakfast was ok, wish had bacon. Would never stay here ever again
- 3/5
staff was friendly, the room was ok . The shower did not drain properly. I

Hotel poorly maintained and not reflected in the Expedia advertised pictures. Swimming pool poorly maintained with debris floating on surface and chipping plaster. Also, pool was advertised as heated, but not unable.
- 5/5
Beautiful property!
- 4/5
- 3/5
Property is old, not updated, on a busy 6 lane road. Breakfast was subpar, pool was not heated, which was disappointing. The second night we had to change rooms due to very loud music being played in the room next door when we were trying to sleep. But the staff was very responsive to our request.
- 3/5
The garden side of this motel is very nice but its spoiled by the non-stop music playing from sunup to sunset. Seriously all the guests were grumbling about the tinny loudspeaker blasting into the public areas. Otherwise, a nice little place easy to get to, nice staff, clean.
- 3/5
Room was not clean. Trash on floor. The place is no resort
- 5/5
Everyone was very nice. Sure, the place is a little older and the room slightly smaller, but the balcony was good sized. I had a very comfortable stay. The breakfasts were tasty. I didn't try the bottomless mimosas because I was working, but I appreciated the flavored creamer. The shower was nice and hot
- 5/5
Fabulous property, clean and convenient to all of Tucson! The staff were friendly and the price was right. We loved the breakfast on the patio every day. Will DEFINITELY be back next time we're in Tucson!
- 4/5

- 5/5
We had a great time. My kids loved the heated pool and the service was top notch.
- 5/5
Neat rooms, great views, good breakfast. We loved the heated pool and hot tub.
- 5/5
This place was absolutely perfect to me. I spent seven nights here. Five nights in a casilita, and 2 in a basic third floor room with balcony. I flew to Phoenix, drove to Tucson, didn't even have a hotel reservation. Drove by this place that caught my eye, turned around walked it and booked. The rest is now a memory
- 5/5
Did not eat
- 4/5
Breakfast was awesome. Staff awesome. Room clean. The casita I stayed in needs new carpet. Shower and bath update. Pool needs alot of work. Broken tiles and steps. Sharp corners.
- 5/5
- 3/5
This property has great potential, but it's kind of run down. Cute casita concept, but needs better upkeep.
- 5/5
we had a lovely time
- 5/5
We loved that the check in process was a breeze. The property is beautiful and well kept. Every staff member we encountered was very friendly. Breakfast was great, the biscuits and gravy were a hit! Bottomless mimosas were a nice surprise.
- 5/5
Our stay was lovely, the only issue was the cleanliness of the pool. The water was cloudy and there was debris in the pool.
- 1/5
This was literally the worst hotel I have ever experienced. The pictures complete and utter lie. We were here for our 30th wedding anniversary Room looked like the 80s. No cold water in the bathroom and it was not summer out. The bed was the worst bed. The money I paid for this room and it was disgusting. The check out attendant was super rude when I told him they need new beds. He called me a karen for complaining.
- 5/5
Staff were helpful, room was comfortable and clean. I felt very safe being there.
- 4/5
Quaint but older
- 3/5
Room was not clean, plumbing was old and not working well, needs updated, service was fair.
- 3/5
Breakfast was good. Parking was very good.
- 5/5
2nd time staying here and it was again, a very nice experience.
- 3/5
It has the quaint original Older Tucson fell and architecture.
- 5/5
I travel A LOT... and this is one of the nicest hotels I've stayed in, and without paying an arm and a leg. I will definitely be back, even if I don't need to return to the area, that's how much I enjoyed it!
- 4/5
It felt like a safe and clean property. The employees at the front desk and restaurant were very friendly and accommodating. The rooms, AC unit, sliders, floor boards overall were very dated. The building, pool and facilities are nice but it is a motor lodge. The photos made it seem more like a resort but the AC unit installed in the wall was loud and kept me awake most of the night turning off and on. The mountain view was incredible however. So if you can deal with the motor lodge style, its a nice clean place.
- 5/5
Very happy with this hotel. Would stay here again
- 2/5
Place in dire need of refurbishment
- 5/5
The rooms were clean, comfortable and quiet. The staff was always friendly.
- 2/5
Over all was a dump.. mold in the shower really needs to be up dated ..beds squeaked all nite.. sheets wear a bit stracheeee..and gray in color.. ya cute idea of a place ...by ya really needs up date....
- 5/5
Great area with views of the Catalina Mountains to the east.
- 5/5
Great vibe! Very friendly!
- 4/5
The grounds are beautiful at La Posada. The room is always clean and easy to access. The view from the balcony or porch is lively!
- 4/5
there was a divit in the mattress, good for snuggling, not so much for sleeping, there was a strange odor in the room. no blow dryer :(
- 5/5
My mom locked herself out of the Casita via the back patio door, at night in her jammies and they gave her a room to sleep in until maintenance could open her door. The Assistant GM Maria was so helpful to facilitate this at 9 pm. We are so grateful! My friends, family and I had a great time in the pool, while being entertained by a few women singing after hanging out and drinking. The fireplace in the courtyard was cozy and not hot! We were offer s'mores to roast and cookies to eat. Breakfast was above average and the unlimited Mimosas kept my people happy as did the 2 for 1 Happy Hour work chips and salsa. In closing, it was a great experience that I would do all over again, minus mom locking herself out. We will remember this forever! Thank you!
- 1/5
When i booked on the website it showed pictures of little house and rooms with balcony. My room was veyr small and didnt have a balcony as advertised. The room smelled like sewer smelled moldy
- 5/5
A little hidden gem
- 5/5
Place was beautiful & so peaceful! Little older building & dome outdated stuff in the room. Pool a luttle dirty & beat up. But overall worth the $18 a day resort fee!!! Beautiful views pretty bathrooms & super nice staff!
- 5/5
This was our second stay here and it was as wonderful as the first. The staff is very helpful and on top of things. The rooms are clean and comfortable, while the beds are just right for a good night's sleep. The walls are thick and we didn't hear any neighbors at all. There are several pillows of different types on the beds so you are pretty sure to find one that will suit your needs. The sink was a little odd, because the handles for the water taps are in a strange position, making it difficult to turn on the water. In order to turn on the cold water, you first had to turn on the hot. The soaps and lotions are great quality and smell wonderful. Plenty of towels, and towels are available at pool side. Hot tub was hot and comfortable. Pool is deep and warm, and plenty of room to swim or just float. I love this place and will be returning next month.
- 5/5
Very well maintained property, spacious rooms, comfortable beds, clean pool. Very nice tile work. Cannected to a decent restaurant. Would stay every time.
- 2/5
The hotel is in disrepair. The casita I stayed in had a lot of issues. TV stations didn’t work - cable stations would break up. Grass sprinklers flooded with water with several frogs around front door. Bathroom window broke. Pool in horrible shape. No one there. Seems like hotel is about to close. Multiple dead trees. Last time I’ll stay there for sure.
- 3/5
Super small bathroom
- 3/5
Grounds are nice, but this is a converted motel. Carpeting had odor, and there was only sheets on the bed.
- 5/5
We loved our stay and will definitely be staying again!!
- 5/5
Very authentic location. very clean room and comfortable bed. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was great - not just muffins & cold cereal. I recommend this hotel!
- 2/5
Front desk professional. Outdated property in need of attention. Pool area dirty and the pool was falling apart. They give day passes to families with 10 kids. Pool is far too small to expect to share with day passes. So disappointing!! Won’t return.
- 5/5
This is a great place to stay and relax. The staff is great and very friendly.
- 5/5
We were very happy with our two night stay at La Posada Lodge and Casitas. Our room was clean, the bed was comfortable and a beautiful looking property. I like that the restaurant was part of the facility. And the pool area was gorgeous. The staff that checked us in were friendly and welcoming.
- 5/5
Our stay was fantastic! The staff were absolutely amazing, super friendly, and made us feel welcomed. The pool was very clean and it was neat that it had a deeper end. Nice room and comfy beds. Will absolutely stay again! 😁
- 5/5
We arrived and were registered immediately. The room was ready, clean, cool and had such a great view as well as a private balcony. The pool and hot tube are clean and well serviced, the room service available when needed, and they were very helpful at the front desk. The restaurant has fantastic food and service, and the breakfast is great. This hotel is very pet friendly and even had a special area for the dogs to utilize. I loved this little gem and will be returning again in the near future for another short get away.
- 3/5
Workers were nice but room smelled like toilet every time we walked in. Hard to get past that.
- 5/5
Loved the architecture of the building
- 1/5
Terrible management
- 5/5
Only complaint is the hot tub was lukewarm. Other than that, I highly recommend
- 4/5
We occasionally enjoy our staycation at La Posada.
- 5/5
The property is very reasonable in price. It is an older property but very well kept. The views are stunning around the property and especially by the pool area and restaurant. We have stayed here 4 or 5 times and have always enjoyed it .
- 4/5
Clean room and sheets. The bed is very hard, and the Resort Fee surprised me.
- 2/5
As soon as we got to the hotel there was a problem with our room so we had to switch. Granted it was a bigger room but they shouldn’t have a mistake as soon as we got there. We called front desk 6 times and couldn’t get ahold of anyone. The Wi-Fi didn't work so if you wanted Wi-Fi you had to go outside until you got a Signal. When we went to the pool it was extremely dirty. There was algae growing in the pool which is very unsafe for families. Also because of the bad Wi-Fi the tv wouldn’t work. The drainage was either damaged or clogged so you would just stand there in dirty water while taking a shower. The Ceiling fan was loose and it would shake and made clacking sounds. The mattress on the sofa bed had blood looking stains, where my daughter was supposed to sleep.
- 5/5
Beautiful landscaping and setting
- 5/5
Staff was great very kind and informative
- 5/5
I really like the property! Its very nice and well taken care of. My check in was great. My room was comfortable. I would stay here again!
- 1/5
I booked and paid for a specific room, but was given a completely different one that was outdated, dirty, and not at all what I expected. The room hadn’t been properly cleaned—there were stains on the sheets, dirt in the corners, and mold in the shower. After complaining, I was moved to a “nicer” room, but it was even worse. The carpet was peeling up, the entire room smelled like cigarette smoke, and the mattress had visible urine stains. Extremely disappointing experience. This place needs a serious deep cleaning and better quality control. Looks way better online.
- 5/5
Decided to stay here last minute on our road trip and it was a great time. Friendly staff and very nice rooms and heated pool. They even had s’mores at sunset. I will say, it looks like there’s not enough staff for the amount of guests there. Though they are great, they are spread thin.
- 5/5
Nice quiet place yet located close to most everything the City has to offer. Breakfast was standard hotel fare.
- 2/5
Old and Jenky. Reconditioning was non-awesome.
- 5/5
Good stay.
- 4/5
Great location and amazing staff! The place is a little bit outdated but comfortable and clean. We recommend it for a family!
- 4/5
I've stayed here a few times and really enjoy it. You will too
- 5/5
The Adobe charm, automatic entrance doors, cheerful staff, cookie for the kids, spacious room and balcony overlooking the pool and grounds, comfortable beds. I loved this place, will visit again.
- 5/5
Beautiful property! Could use a more expansive breakfast. And better room cleaning. People were wonderful and kind. It was a great visit!
- 4/5
The pool was really dirty and in disrepair. Everything else was great
- 4/5
The staff was amazing! However, the pool and hot tub were in horrible condition - both needed a thorough cleaning or a remodel.
- 5/5
Gorgeous view of mountains and city
- 5/5
It was a great experience, it was an enjoyable time, and we will definitely be back!
- 4/5
Easy and quick check in, free and convenient parking, beautiful venue and pool. AC really wasn’t cooling the room, slept warmer than I would have preferred. Other than that, absolutely zero complaints! Wonderful stay!!
- 5/5
Wonderful experience!! Loved having a front patio. Home like vibes!
- 5/5
Gorgeous courtyard and pool. The rooms have charming hand painted murals reminiscent of Mexican caballeros. The sinks are tiled in bright colors. The shower was surprisingly bigger than it would seem. The view was stunning, which is really surprising because its in the middle of the city, but there is a huge wash/riparian area behind the hotel where yiu can see all the way to the beautiful Catalina mountains. Hotel was very clean, the lobby has beautiful art work. Staff was amazing. The hotel's restaurant, the Gringo provides their food and it is really good. Endless mimisoas during complimentary breakfast! This hotel feels more like a resort, but with "motel-like" rooms.
- 5/5
Pool is so nice
- 2/5
We looked at our room and upgraded to a casita. The air conditioning did not work to cool of the room, we were very uncomfortable. The tv remote would not change the channel unless we turned it off and then on again. When husband called desk, was told there was no one on grounds to fix any thing, but they would move us to another room. My husband said if he had to pack again, he would just move out. ( we are 85 and 79, so moving hotels not the easiest for). We moved out and were told reservation would be cancelled and no charges made
- 5/5
Clean rooms and pool.
- 5/5
Very good place!!!
- 5/5
Good breakfast
- 5/5
Nice propiety and friendly
- 3/5
Check out wasn’t until 11 and they turned off my keys at 9 a.m and I couldn’t even get into my room or the pool and I had requested a late check out . I called the front desk and no apologies for the inconvenience or anything so I ended up just going home. It was a bit disappointing due to the fact I was celebrating our anniversary and also my fiancés birthday. The porch of our Casita which cost more than an average room was really dirty and the plumbing was an issue. Shower was a bit dirty as well.
- 4/5
Much better experience than last time! Plumbing issues are resolved. Stayed in a Casita rather than standard room. Very peaceful and very quiet.
- 3/5
Hotel is dated 60's. Room furnishings and decor dated. Toilet seats are so old that paint is coming off the wooden seats. Light fixtures are dated and falling apart. Bathroom door painted to frame. Stuck. Owner needs to invest in the property
- 5/5
Beautiful Resort. Great food.
- 4/5
We checked in late on a Sunday afternoon and discovered the kitchen light in the casita was burned out. Maintenance could not correct until Monday. It still had not been replaced by the time we checked out on Monday. Shower hose was also cracked so water sprayed everywhere in the bathroom and ran into kitchen floor. I think they need to check the casitas to make sure everthing is working prior to check in if they have not been inspected in awhile.
- 5/5
We love our stays at La Posada! The view from the onsite restaurant is superb, the complimentary breakfasts delicious, and the grounds are very well kept. During the hot summer months in AZ the small ACs in the casitas have a hard time keeping the units cool but, other than that, the property, and staff are delightful.
- 1/5
Also, the corporation uses fraudulent advertising on their website. They boast about “Complementary Buffet Breakfast “ but when checking-in they charge $18 for the breakfast and use of the swimming pool. THAT is fraud! BTW, don’t walk around in your room barefooted or your feet will be black on bottom.
- 5/5
Great place to stay which was away from the Convention Center and it was a straight shot to the event. The budget was within my range the school district gave me and I was pleased with that aspect.
- 5/5
Pool was not restocked with towels but easy enough to get from the front desk. Breakfast was a little different and we missed the waffle maker.
- 5/5
Our stay was just over night but absolutely would come back! Amazing property comfortable beds staff was amazing 100% amazing
- 5/5
The location has a small cantina. Staff were so friendly and made the experience very welcoming. We will be sure to return.
- 4/5
The furniture is a bit outdated could use a renovation.
- 5/5
Such a wonderful and relaxing experience. This place is such a gem in Tucson. Definitely will be coming back.
- 3/5
The property was okay but the shower was awful. Barely a trickle would come out. Never felt clean during our stay
- 4/5
We rented the the king suite and found the size of the room to be smaller than expected (and smaller than what looks online). It was just the size of any regular room. The breakfast was average (tasteless eggs, sausage were good but on the second day they ran out). The worse thing was that lot of people that were not staying in the hotel were at the pool. The pool deck was overcrowded, lots of people and kids throwing balls. We talked to several kids that they told us they were not guests, they just come to enjoy the pool. That was very disappointing and made our experience on the only amenity the hotel offered rather uncomfortable. Also, they need to put curtain in the bathroom window in the suite, in the morning the sun hits you in the face when you are in bed (sunrise was around 5:15 am).

Ilene is always helpful & courteous. The balcony had gorgeous views and the pool area was our favorite serene nightly oasis. Thank You! The onsite Cantina, Gringo Grill was less courteous and professional. For the 5 guests at tables outside, the Happy Hour bartender was more interested in watching the Nicks basketball game than customer service. We didnt go back other nights for that reason. Thank you La Posada staff!

NEED NEW STAFF!! The property itself is a nice, room was clean, the pool and grounds are beautiful and well kept. The staff is a whole different issue, every person we delt with , from check in to check out was rude. The staff at check in was literally yelling at people as they check in about instructions for the pool grounds, very unprofessional attitude towards paying customers. They also called the rooms at 1045 the next morning to make sure we had checked out and again was very rude ( check out at 11 and we were walking out the door) restaurant staff was not about to give you the bottomless mimosas that they advertised so don't fall for that one, you will get a 4 ounce plastic wine cup with a splash of champagne and that's it. If you can even find someone to ask for another glass you will be rudely turned away. I travel for business and stay in hotel/ resorts every month but I've never stayed at a place so unaccomidating in my entire life. It's a shame that such a nice place has to be managed by people who don't want to do their job.

We stayed in one of the casitas (king suite). It was a wonderful stay. My only complaint was that the air conditioner kept think it was at the desired temperature & turn itself off because it was too close to the nightstand. We would turn it down to 60 during the day when we were gone so it would stay on, then turn it off at night & open the bathroom window with the ceiling fan on, it was ok. But, it was only around 80° day.

Very cute place. Grounds are beautiful and the restaurant is very good. Only able to shower one morning due to plumbing issues. No contact yet from management after 4 days to discuss credit or ???. Disappointing.

The hotel without water for several hours in middle of day when I needed to shower for an important meeting. Nothing was offered to remedy the situation other than I needed to deal with it . Absolutely unacceptable. I checked out the hotel and they still charged me the night.

Beautiful property; however I was given a room with no TV, no phone, compromised service... disappointing to say the least.

The room was old and had problems with electrical out lets and the battery in the fire alarm didn't work.

Pretty hotel and comfy beds. Food in the restaurant is good as well.

Beautiful property. Right on a fairly main road (so, easy to access restaurants, grocery stores, etc.) but quiet enough thst you didn't feel like you were right on the main road.

The hotel had several nice features including the swimming pool, fire pit (with supplies for s'mores) and a dining area for breakfast and dinner. Sitting outside at meals with a view in the distance of Tuscon was great. There were also several restaurants in walking distance.

It has that great Southwestern look and our first words were “whoa” and it stayed that nice. The big lobby doors open automatically and it is very inviting. The check in kid was very friendly and efficient. Our room was on the same level as the lobby and we had a private balcony that overlooked the swim are with tall trees swaying and mountain views. The breakfast was fantastic and they offered unlimited mimosas. It was clean and the bathroom sink was so unique I had to take a picture. We said we would always stay there again if back in Tucson and highly recommend it.

Nice property, loved our balcony view, pool area was beautiful, staff was delightful and helpful.

The front desk guy was very nice when I arrived after 2 am, but after that, no front desk person ever spoke to me or even acknowledged me as I walked by each day to use the breakfast buffet. The buffet is pretty simple and never deviates: pancakes, eggs, sausage of some sort, pico de gallo and salsa, and some muffins and prepackaged danishes. It gets the job done but it's nothing to write home about. The gym is really small but good enough if you just need to get some exercise in during your travels.

Give a 3 rating for early morning jackhammering in torn up grounds outside our bldg. It would've been professional to let their guests know. The booking clerk was excellent.

The hotel was very southwestern and comfortable. Loved the beds. We brought our dogs and it was a great dog-friendly location. The lawn and doggy bags were fantastic.

Property is showing some wear and tear, but we enjoyed the character and charm. We appreciated the onsite bar/restaurant, and the small extra touches like the cookies and smores kits.

The room smelled like a fog went to the restroom in it and water came in from a closed window during a rainstorm

Overall, they worked with us to make it a better experience, but it wasn't always smooth sailing

Noisy and dirty and food is bad

We enjoyed the balcony and the view. Beds were comfortable but overall the rooms need updating (worn toilet seat, cracked tiles, chipping paint, etc). We were most disappointed that the pool heater was broken making the pool unusable.

It was a friends staycation for some R&R away from home. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel was quaint, some upgrading needed to be done like the sliding glass door on our balcony, the tv remote did not have a guide and was difficult to see what was on, the bathroom was tiny but the Mexican tile very pretty and my mattress swayed in the m8ddle and made load sounds when i turned over at night. The pool and jacuzzi outside were nice, the courtyard was pretty.

Casita was dirty and outdated. Few tv stations available. Not enough staff to provide service in restaurant.
- 2/5
Place was noisy, even up to 12am, people chatting next room. Pool had no towels and was not attended to make sure everything is Ok. breakfast was lacking a lot of the items available prior day (no orange juice, no fruits, no hot water for tea). Overated place in my opinion, certainly for what they charge.

Dislike: poor breakfast, overall rather shabby.
- 4/5
The rooms are dated, need technological updates like USB ports for travelers. Sink water pressure was poor while the shower was good in that regard. Toilet flushing requires holding the handle down during the entire flush. Easily correctable, upgrades needed!

Breakfast was amazing, made each days start nice. The room was great, just small. Only real complaints are the toilet being hard to flush, and unfortunately the pool heater wasn’t working. I’d stay here again no question.

Only downside was the restaurant. Short staffed. Got my own drinks at bar and took my food order to the bartender (not a very efficient bartender). We had waited about 10 minutes before I became our “server”. On the positive side, the food was good.
