Reviews
Many guests appreciated the convenient location of the hotel, close to the beach and local amenities. However, a significant number of reviews expressed dissatisfaction with the check-in process, often requiring guests to travel to a different location. The cleanliness and size of the rooms were also frequently mentioned issues.

We absolutely love staying at Graduate hotels whenever possible. They really help you feel planted in the place you are visiting, and this stay was no exception. The room and lobby were beautifully decorated, as is the usual with Graduate hotels. The Moonstone bar and rooftop bar were truly incredible. We were here during summer break, so parking wasn’t a big issue, but I can see how it would be hard if students were around.

Did not eat breakfast but dinner was good and appreciated discount voucher. Location was ideal for conference we attended. Parking. We used self parking garage and ended up paying twice to get out.

Only thing missing was an ice machine but the awesome roof top restaurant is close by if you have a container.

The cafe downstairs serves delicious breakfast burritos, and very good quality coffee. The room was spacious, the water pressure was fantastic, and the views from 14th floor were amazing. The pool deck and rooftop bar were spectacular with 360 views. While enjoying the pool one night, some young kids brought a massive speaker and started playing their own club music which was loud and disruptive. Staff didn't seem to care to address the situation. Other than that, perfect stay.

Thoughtful details. Great Tucson vibe! The staff was Phenomenal and absolutely ve and beyond! I even wrote a letter to the GM because Tracy was so helpful. Fantastic hotel and I will be back for sure!

Really great location, staff was super friendly. Went to the rooftop bar and the bartenders were great. Its a great location and the facility is nice and clean. I would absolutely stay again, and absolutely encourage a stay if you are needing to be close to the UA campus. I dont have any complaints on this hotel. It was just a night, but it was a great. I will never choose Best Western again, and I will strongly recommend that others avoid staying there. I checked in and was charged for a stay from the 2nd through the 8th. I have a receipt clearly showing those dates. Later, management told me the employee who checked me in was untrained and had made a mistake by only scheduling me through the 7th. Instead of honoring the receipt or correcting their employee’s mistake, management argued with me and forced me to pay extra. That is unacceptable. A guest should not be financially penalized because of the hotel’s internal training or scheduling failure. This experience showed me poor customer service, poor accountability, and a lack of respect for a paying guest. I will not stay at Best Western again, and I would caution others to avoid them as well.

The room was super clean and staff was beyond friendly,we got complimentary water bottles in our room and two complimentary drinks at the rooftop restaurant moonstone and complimentary breakfast how more amazing can this place be … Thry only have valet and honestly it was so much easier for us to leave and come back to the hotel .. definitely a must stay if you are looking for comfort .

The Graduate is a fantastic hotel, the staff is very helpful and friendly, but for me, given that I go there to meet with the university, it's so nice to walk from there to my meetings. I also like that it's surrounded by great places to eat and hang out.

We got breakfast coupons and the choices and quality was excellent. Compliments to the chefs that make the food. Loved the breakfast sandwiche, avocado toast and yogurt and granola cup

The Graduate offered a fun and unique college themed hotel stay. The location was perfect bordering the University of Arizona’s beautiful Tucson campus. Our room was nicely decorated, had a comfortable bed and good sized bathroom. The rooftop pool and Moonstone bar/restaurant were amazing with gorgeous views of Tucson and the surrounding mountains. We highly recommend and would definitely stay here again.

Really enjoyed the free two-hour bike rental and the beautiful rooftoop pool, it is a gem. But noise from the outside was a problem sometimes
- 5/5
Such a fun hotel. Chic without being pretentious. Loved the room (so grateful for the water), and the restaurant/bar on the roof was great with amazing views of Tucson. The pool was beautiful, and the view of the Santa Catalina Mountains was awesome. The self parking option is KEY and so helpful. The proximity to U of A cannot be beat. Everything is walkable to restaurants and shopping, and the free bus/trolley to 4th is so helpful. The *only* things I felt needed attention are the bathroom floor needing a thorough cleaning, and the cleaning crew needs to take the "studying" (do not disturb) signs seriously as they opened our door regardless. Still, I'd stay there again in a heartbeat. Thank you Graduate!!

Always love staying at this property! Great vibe, decor, friendly and helpful staff that actually seem happy to work there! 🙂
- 4/5
I thought nearly everything was perfect. The staff at the desk, the bar, and the breakfast counter in the lobby were kind and personable. It was clean and had fun pictures on the wall, a funky cactus lamp, I had a beautiful view. And the pool was fabulous For morning swim in preparation for a day of conferencing. I loved almost everything...except the design of the room (really just the bathroom). My hip hit the toilet paper dispenser when I used the toilet. The bathroom mirror was only lit from one side (bad for makeup application). The shower leaked on the floor (puddles with sock on, ick1). I had a lovely kettle that I had to walk around the room to find an outlet to plug it in. But definitely recommend a stay.

Nice room
- 4/5
The room was clean, but incredibly small as we struggled to find space for our luggage. Staff was friendly and helpful. Parking was an extra cost ($37 per night plus tips for valets), but allowed unlimited in and out privledges. We were a little frustrated with the pool as there was no key required to get in. Many university students came in to enjoy the pool and rooftop and there originally wasn't any space/chairs for us as paying guest. The bartender continued to let them in and out of the pool and restaurant. This was frustrating given what we paid to stay. The location was right next to campus, so local restaurants and bars were often packed with students. We ended up driving downtown or elsewhere to dine.

No breakfast included with room. They say that I can purchase for $16, but I never found where. When I asked the attendant at the coffee bar, she said I would need to visit a restaurant. I found one a couple of miles away. No Parking (unless you pay an addtional $40 for valet parking). I had to park down the street and around the corner at a meter that was not in service between 6 pm and and 8m (and make sure I was checked out and had the car moved before 8 am). Fan in room was loud, and the entire room vibrated while it was running.

You guys really need to add the Smashburger and Quesadilla back upstairs. They are your best food items and you can only get them downstairs until 2pm. Mike and the front desk staff are amazing as are the managers upstairs (David) and the bartenders. The location is amazing and so is the view from the Sky bar (best view in Tucson from the flatland). Treadmills were both broken and dangerous to run on the first day but when I mentioned to a staff member they were fixed by day 2 where the belts weren't slipping. Another thing I noticed is things are starting to fall apart a bit as I had my door handle broken and again they did come fix it. The staff, the view, and location is why we keep coming back as we have been staying here since they've opened as we are now on our second kid at U of A (one already graduated) but for the prices they charge on the weekends Hilton really needs to put some money into upkeep and listen to their best customers more. We spend way less time spending money upstairs now due to the menu changes and food options.

Always love staying here when we visit our son at U of A! It’s our favorite location because everything is so walkable.
- 5/5
The staff was so helpful and kind ! A few more breakfast options in the lobby would have been good- they ran out of baked goods by 9 am .

Not sure what changed, but my room was filthy with heavy layers of scum all over the tile and the fixtures in the bathroom. Peeling paint and wallpaper, chipped doors and crack tiles more like a motel not a $300 a night hotel. The rooftop bar was my favorite place to grab something to eat after a long day of work yet that was also changed and the food was less than mediocre with minimum selection. extremely disappointed would definitely not come back.

Very comfortable stay

The parking situation was not well-communicated. There no basic amenities like a coffee maker or other things you would expect in even the most basic hotel room. You're paying strictly for access to the University here.

We had a great time! The location was ideal, we received excellent recommendations from the concierge (mostly for restaurant advice, but also for info about the local scene), the price was excellent and we were very surprised to find ourselves planted in the roof top bar/restaurant most nights - twice we stayed much later than is common for us. What an awesome spot! We both agreed to the wording of this review by the way - highly recommended!

The property itself is exceptional. Clean. Attentive hotel staff. Pool and bar five stars. I hope they change their valet service though. They kept telling me I didn’t pay so my in and out privileges could not be honored. I pre-paid for my two night stay on the day I arrived so I could have in and out privileges. Everytime I tried to summon my car via text we instructed, the bill kept coming up that I need to pay. This went on my whole stay. So my car wasn’t brought to the front when I needed it and I had to explain to valet staff I paid and had to show them copy of paid transaction Everytime I needed my car. The hotel would be an A+ but my hassle w the valet prevented me from giving them 5 star review. They need to change valet system asap

The shower was amazing. Room was clean and the parking attendant was nice and attendant.

I stayed here solo for 2 weeks for a conference at University of Arizona and I cannot recommend this hotel enough! The University is directly across the street, so walking anywhere (even to restaurants like Agave House and Bacio Italiano) was a breeze. The rooftop lounge/bar had great food and drinks, thank you to the bartender Taylor for making me feel comfortable my first night! You and the other gentleman with you were hilarious. THE VIEW WAS AMAZING. Everything was very clean and kept up. The rooms were thoughtfully designed and so cute! I did not purchase breakfast when I booked so I didn't get any (went to Einstein Bagels), but it looked great and seemed reasonably priced. The only thing that I did not like was the parking options, it's either you park on the street and pay the meters every 2 hrs or you pay for the valet which I thought was expensive. Also, they seem to operate independently from the hotel so at times it was a little confusing with payment. All in all, I had a great time and everyone was so nice! If you're on the fence, just pick this place, I highly recommend you stay here!

One night stay to visit Tucson with my teenage daughter. Super cute, instagrammable hotel. Rooftop pool was great. Very walkable to cute boutiques and food. Basically right off the free shuttle line to downtown historic Tucson. This area seems much cleaner and safer than historic Tucson.
- 5/5
Amazing stay. Everyone was very welcoming. Would definitely recommend.
- 5/5
The rooftop bar and ;pool. The location was great
- 5/5
The view from the rooftop pool and restaurant were breath taking. The staff was wonderful. The rooms were clean and beds were comfortable. The food both at the downstairs cafe for breakfast and restaurant were delicious. Would definitely stay again.

Such a fun hotel for our visits to Tucson!
- 5/5
Beautiful property! Perfect for a quick trip to visit Tucson.
- 5/5
Right in downtown, plenty downtown shopping available with a museum directly across the street. Trish at front desk, Diego (valet) and Claire (restaurant upstairs) are absolutely wonderful! Beds could be a bit softer but would definitely stay here again! Thank you for making my family feel so welcome and cared for. The girls st the breakfast/lunch bar are great too!

Excellent service , great location. Loved the showers and super comfy bed. Best pool in town!
- 5/5
great place right by u of a

The room was comfortable, parking is only valet or meter parking, staff was friendly, the room had a weird smell but was tolerable.
- 5/5
Great location , very clean and very helpful staff

Super cute hotel near the university. My husband and I enjoyed the rooftop bar while our sons used the gym. Clean, quiet and wonderfully designed. Easy valet parking.
- 5/5
Loved the rooftop restaurant and pool. We didn’t get to use the gym but glad it’s convenient!!

We had a great overnight stay during our travels from California to Texas. The staff who checked us in ( Mike and Mike) gave excellent service. Rooftop deck, pool, bar and food amazing!
- 5/5
The hotel was excellent, the only problem was the pool was a little green and cloudy. They did check on it and were gonna shock it when they close the pool that night unfortunately we’re leaving that morning. They did offer us a free breakfast which was very nice other that our stay was phenomenal. I would definitely recommend.

Bed was a bit hard. Electric kettle did not work.No ice machines on hotel floors.

Hilton reservations are horrible!!! They are rude and unhelpful, and they don’t speak English. I asked to speak to the hotel front desk and they hung up on me, twice. They charge for parking, no ice machines. The food we ordered from the restaurant was horrible. When you exit the elevator to go to the restaurant it smells like a mens locker room. Save your money and stay at a motel 6, or sleep in your vehicle and use the money you saved to get a massage.

I’d been thinking of moving back to Tucson and booked The Graduate for an overnight trip. During my stay, it was really hot outside and I was grateful for the clean, comfortable room and the Moonstone restaurant on the top floor. It made for a very nice experience!
- 5/5
Loved it
- 3/5
The room was nothing great. Old and needs some upgrades.
- 3/5
The biggest complaint we had was trying to sleep. The air conditioner is really loud. It woke me up each time it turned on. The beds were kinda hard, and the pillows were really flat.
- 5/5
Always a delight! Staff and room are top notch. We love the Moonstone for appetizers, dinner and drinks with an amazing view. The lounge area and cafe are perfect for a quick coffee and breakfast.
- 5/5
Great place for a get away. Pool is beautiful and staff is amazing
- 2/5
Hot water was not working and hotel did not seem to care that we had to shower in cold water.
- 5/5
My stay was amazing and the front desk staff was AWESOME‼️ Very friendly and accommodating.

A great hotel, with a fabulous roof top pool. Rooms were modern, spacious and clean. The area surrounding the hotel felt safe. The only thing I think the hotel could improve on is to provide service and cleaning of the pool area. Over the 3 times we used the pool, there was glasses and rubbish on the floor that stayed there for the 3 days we used the pool. No bar service and no cleaning of the pool area. There waas plenty of fresh towels each day but they should carry out a regualr clean. Apart from the pool area, the staff were fabulous and service great.
- 5/5
The pool could use some umbrellas, no shade up there guys.
- 4/5
Great property in a great location. No parking. Charges extra for animals. I will stay here again.

Extremely disappointed. I am a resident of Tucson and booked a night at this hotel only as a staycation to celebrate a special occasion. My intention was to spend most of my stay relaxing at the pool and enjoying the view. This hotel wasn’t cheap and cost more than I wanted to spend, but I specifically chose this hotel because the website said there would be a heated pool that was open until 10 PM. When I first checked into the hotel, the receptionist that checked me in said that the pool is only open until 9 PM. I mentioned that the website says 10 PM and he said “it must be a misprint.” This was very frustrating because I already thought 10 PM is extremely early to close a pool at a hotel, so finding out that it closed even earlier than that was really disappointing. Then after I went to my room and changed into my bath suit, I went down to the pool and there was zero available seating. They had seating at the pool for only about 12 people and every single chair was taken. I decided to get some food at the restaurant while I waited for a spot to open up and the service was lacking. The server was nice and attentive and the food was delicious, but I ordered an appetizer that I specifically asked to come out before the entrees and it came out AFTER the entrees! Then I received a glass of wine that had food chunks floating in it and had to ask the bartender for a new one. Yuck. After eating, there was finally seating available at the pool, so I chose a spot and was excited to

Very nice stay with the family. Great location, rooftop pool and bar are brilliant. Only offer valet parking which is a bit of a pain with all the other car lines up out front. Difficult when you need to unload multiple bags in the street and carry in. Minor inconvenience and would book again when in town.

Convenient location to the University.

Great rooftop service with nice seating. Lots of college students in the pool so we stayed away. Our server was super nice, checking in on us and helping us move the restaurant when we were done.

Service is outstanding, really nice staff that enjoy their work!

I had to cancel due to receiving word that our concert was cancelled I called the property but they said I’m outside the window for cancellation .

Beautiful aesthetic, kind and helpful concierge, and amazing sunset and mountain views from the rooftop pool and bar/restaurant.

It was amazing. My only complaint is the pool really needs to be cleaned on the tile at the water’s edge. It was black and my daughter could write her initials in it! Other than that, it was a great experience!

Staff very responsive. Excellent atmosphere. Rooftop bar/dining great. Walk to anywhere on or near UofAz campus. Bed very comfortable, nice bathroom.

There was no bar or restaurant open during the day and no shower by pool.i would not stay again .so sad cause the decor is amazing!!!
- 4/5
I liked the property. It's convenient, localized to the college, rooftop area is cool. The one thing I didn't like is the hotel doesn't have any water for sale or in the room... it is in AZ, where water is key - and you can only order tap water from the coffee shop... once they open.
- 5/5
We absolutely loved the hotel. Our double queen room was a tiny bit small for two adults and one teen bit was fine for a four night stay. The whole place is feels great, the rooftop is amazing, staff is amazing, valet service is super fast. Overall a great place to stay and will definitely be back.

I didn’t like that the carpet was very wet! Maybe they steamed it but never let it dry.

Uncomfortable beds, felt cheap. Noisy AC that woke us up all night clicking on and off.

Great location if you are visiting UOA, walking distance to campus and University Drive were shopping and eatery are located. The Graduate was great hotel to stay at, the beds were comfortable and the shower in the bathroom was great. Really enjoyed the rooftop pool, bar, and restaurant. The views were spectacular. I highly recommend if you want a memorable stay.
- 5/5
Very nice property and service and staff is great. Only disappointing aspect was the pool was smaller than we anticipated and all the seats were taken when we wanted to go
- 5/5
The property was beautiful, the stuff was incredible.

Another attribute is location location location . Right downtown and next to the U. The king sized was very comfortable as were the pillows. Bedding was very clean. It was dusty but that was OK. We wiped things down once and it was all good. My wife and I loved the Moonstone restaurant. Tucson is really a foodie town (Check out Snoozers for brunch) and they do a great job. The view is to die for! Killer sunsets every night. Overall it’s a really nice stay and we enjoyed ourselves very very much. We will return for sure
