Reviews
The hotel receives mixed reviews with guests appreciating the cleanliness, spaciousness, and comfort of the rooms, as well as the friendly and helpful staff. However, there are consistent complaints about the outdated decor, poor maintenance, and lack of cleanliness in certain areas. The breakfast is generally well-received, but some guests have issues with the evening cocktail hour offerings.

This hotel was wonderful!!! I wish I knew about it before now. The lol , hot tub and breakfast were perfect ! The bed was so comfortable ! Great staff too!!

Breakfast was awesome! Clean hotel, complimentary drinks in the evening for the adults, big pool and hot tub! Literally won’t stay anywhere else when visiting Tucson. HIGHLY recommend this hotel!!!

Great staff, clean property

Reasonably priced suite with microwave and refrigerator and a safe seemed to be recently remodeled. The pool and mature grounds are very pretty and the full hot breakfast with custom omelettes was pretty great! Probably time for some new elevators and my door lock malfunctioned and I couldn’t get back in my room until maintenance came.

Needs an upgrade! Breakfast was nasty, rooms not so clean, pool was super dark, saw roaches… needs to be renovated
- 1/5
I went to check in and they told me I do not have reservations. I ended up booking at Best Western for Saturday evening and stayed in with friends for Friday evening. But what is more surprising is that, even though I was told I do not have reservations. I was still charged. And now I can not figure out how to get refunded.
- 5/5
Our stay was amazing unfortunately we had to leave a day early due to medical complications with my son.

I have never stayed at an Embassy Suite by Hilton before this visit. I was dismayed to learn that the Tucson East location is designed as a motel, not hotel. The difference being the doors to your room lead directly to the outside versus being situated inside the building and leading to a enclosed hallway. As a solo traveler, arriving at night, the darkened walkways I needed to take to grab the elevator to the higher floors was a bit off-putting. They could certainly use more directional signage and tree trimming within the courtyard. This Hilton branch of rooms is outdated. It has 70's & 80's color scheme and cheaper furniture. I rented the 2 Queen Bed Suite which was very roomy. However, the rug in my room had several stains and could use a good shampooing. My work trip was for 7 days and only on one day (weekend) was the noise disruptive. Pretty quiet during the rest of the week. I did go down to eat the complimentary breakfast on one of the mornings. I was pleasantly surprised to see they hired a omelet chef who was very good at his job. Although I did not use the outdoor pool, it did look clean and other guest enjoyed it on the day it was 102 degrees outside. I choose this location as it was closest to my work meeting place. Upon arrival the check-in front desk person was very courteous, professional, and recognized my Hilton Honors membership.

Nice breakfast
- 0.5/5
The staff was really nice When I check in the air conditioning didn’t work for until 12 am so it took about 9-10 hours for our room air to work. They gave us a fan but unfortunately I paid 700$ plus for a place that had no air-conditioning for half of my stay.

The location wasn't good. The rooms need updating and the air conditioner barely worked.

- 4/5
Nice place don’t go there for business purposes as the hotel will refuse to deliver a receipt at the end of your stay while directing you to booking.com for that, and vice versa, cycling down for weeks. A nightmare to get reimbursed
- 4.5/5
There was an odd smell in our room, aired it out and it dissipated, but kind of a cross between septic/musty. We enjoyed the rest of the room and stay very much.

I had asked for a ground floor room. Didn't happen. I found the hotel difficult to navigate. No directions from the parking lot. Parking in the back lot, and having to lift my luggage up and down stairs to get to an unmarked elevator, was a pain!
- 2/5
There are thousands of flies outside my room I am not able to go out from room because of that
- 3/5
The omlet chef and bar tender were great but understaffed leading to long lines and I perceived stressed due to this. The after “happy hours” bar/restaurant was unwelcome with condiment holders on the tables and bright lighting. My suite was expensive but wonderful with a beautiful view of the mountains from my balcony. The tv was terrible with little apparent connection to the remote as programs scrolled over and over with no way to click on one and the cable shows had no indication of where the program was or how to start something at the beginning.
- 3/5
Room and everything was good but the front desk staff was very odd at check-in. Almost as if the person was on drugs
- 3/5
Older property in need of updating. Both breakfast and evening reception were not up to what I have come to expect from Embassy suites. Pool area was a nice size but the staff did not enforce the no outside alcohol, ice chests, loud music etc and the hot tub was taken over by 10+ people having their own party so nobody else could use it for hours.
- 4/5
A very nice hotel, the continental breakfast was great
- 5/5
Nice meet and greet. Good options for breakfast.
- 5/5
Nice place
- 5/5
Great pool!! Very clean property and the complimentary breakfast was wonderful. Cooked to order eggs and omelets.
- 3/5
Great breakfast staff. Room location lacking, all build roof air conditioners outside bedroom window ran loudly all night long.
- 5/5
The swimming pool and Breakfast buffet were a hit for us!! We look forward to staying again, very soon!
- 3/5
Front desk staff was rude. Enjoyed the breakfast options and pool. Nice gym.
- 5/5
Clean rooms, friendly staff and the pool looked clean and nice.
- 2/5
We love staying here on our roadtrips, it works well for our family. This time our room was subpar. There was a horrible smell that could only be described as a “fart smell” in the room. We arrived late and the kids were so tired. They offered for us to change rooms, but we needed to get the kids to sleep. There was hair in the bathtub and the sink, something sticky on the floor and the bath mat was warm down and thread barren. I honestly thing it wasn’t cleaned or wasn’t cleaned property. We love this place, but this was a huge let down.

My first room 416 had broken hvac and smelled bad, we were immediately moved to 419, room was beautiful. Staff was very nice, great hotel for dogs our boy liked it there, food was outstanding.
- 1/5
My husband got stuck in the elevator for over 45 minutes. When he called the front desk with the emergency button, they hung up on him! I called the front desk when this happened and he was rude and could not give an ETA for when help would come. On top of that, they had no towels and no shower soap!
- 4/5
The staff was great, particularly at check-in. Room was spacious and pretty quiet though needing a little upkeep. Bathroom doorknob was falling off.
- 5/5
Could not have picked a better hotel to stay in Tucson. Amazing breakfast, Clean, quiet rooms, large pool and hot tub, and excellent bar/restaurant. Loved the freshly made omelets in the morning and the complimentary drinks in the afternoon. Would definitely stay again.
- 5/5
I sent a text. It was great
- 1/5
We stay at Embassy Suites regularly because generally, the quality is pretty consistent. I would NOT recommend staying here. The area of town is a bit sketchy, the property was dirty—legit piles of trash in the hallways, cans and wrappers throughout. The elevators did not work — only the Up arrow worked outside of our room, not the down arrow. The ice machines were not working throughout the whole property. They finally directed me to the ONE of TEN that was in working order. We had 5 people on our reservation but they only had 3 towels in the room. We made do and shared, but on the 2nd and last night of our stay, we asked for more towels and they said they ran out. How does a hotel run out of towels?? We had to snag some from the pool deck. The breakfast area was TINY and not well laid out for how big this hotel is. Lines were out of control and there was no space to walk. Overall, not a positive experience. The only pros were that the pool is large and the bartender was very friendly during the free happy hour.
- 2/5
Very old property
- 5/5
Breakfast was fantastic, with lots of options and different menue every morning. Very friendly staff. Great hotel would highly recommend.
- 5/5
Great room! Fantastic staff. Employees showed they love their job
- 5/5
Fresh choices.
- 5/5
Fantastic Breakfast
- 4/5
There was a variety of options in the breakfast and the omelette cook was very nice.
- 3/5
The hotel offered sporadic housekeeping and our room was only cleaned once during our 4 night stay. When we called for housekeeping because we ran out of toliet paper, needed fresh towels, and wanted our trash taken out, it took reception over 15 minutes to answer the phone. While this was a moderately priced hotel which was more expensive than other options in the area, I didnt think it was a good value and would not stay here again.
- 5/5
Clean room , and staff very accommodating
- 5/5
Beautiful property! Room was roomy and a great lay out. We loved breakfast and the pool. Staff was friendly. Overall just an amazing stay!!
- 3/5
Breakfast was excellent! Staff did not have quarters for laundry machines. Had to go to Walmart,

It was a great place to say clean. People are friendly, and the food was excellent.

I expected something different, I was in different Embassy Hotels and the structure of the hotel totally different, I didn’t like it. Also terrible staff, the cleaning lady opened the door of my room at 8.30am without knocking the door, thanks god my naked husband was in the room. The pillow case has a bloody stained, and the cleaning lady didn’t change it until we asked for. Also, they removed the towels from my room and didn’t replace them. The pillows were horrible, different from others Hilton stayed and cover sheet with holes. The guy who brought the pillows and towels knocked the door once and immediately opened the door as well. I called the manager Maggie ( that’s the name she gave me) and she said that employees has the right to open the doors if you’re not open the door at once, they can’t wait not even 2 minutes, also she said that we are humans and things can happen. Not even apologized. When I told her that I need to talk to somebody else about it, because she seemed didn’t care, and I am a Hilton Honors, she offered to me give me points and I didn’t took it because I was really upset. Not recommended definitely.
- 5/5
The over all experience was good but the house keeping was bad.
- 5/5
The staff was very kind and attentive. The rooms are huge and very clean. The breakfast is the best…omelets made by order!
- 5/5
Nice warm pool and hot tub. Good breakfast.

Love this location. We were on the fifth floor so had a beautiful view. The orange trees added a nice touch in the courtyard. Rooms were updated and nice. This location's breakfast was tight quarters but very good.
- 5/5
Very nice place and friendly front desk
- 5/5
Excellent from start to finish. Clean, quiet, comfortable!
- 4/5
Amazing spacious room, and very clean. Excellent breakfast, too. Most of the staff were very cheerful and pleasant. A very good stay.
- 4/5
Clean rooms …. Nice staff. Beds were on the hard side, and i don’t like the no cash policy.
- 5/5
The staff is friendly and welcoming and the breakfast is fantastic!
- 3/5
Send it to me again. Thank you
- 5/5
We stayed in room 455, the carpet was very dirty, it was food trays on the ground outside our door when we checked in, and down the fooors near other rooms and by the elevator
- 4/5
The second sink had a very odd burn stain in it. But overall the hotel was fine. Good thing it was the extra sink. It was gross.
- 5/5
The breakfast bar was on point.
- 5/5
Comfortable room
- 5/5
Rooms were cleaned daily and the made to cook omelets for breakfast were delicious.

- 5/5
Beautiful property, nice pool, great breakfast, friendly front desk.
- 2/5
Breakfast was satisfactory
- 3/5
The breakfast was pretty good, just a short window to enjoy the offerings.
- 5/5
What a wonderful place to stay while my husband was in the hospital. The staff went out of their way for me in every way. They were friendly, helpful and encouraging as it was a stressful time. The first night, I locked my keys in the car along with my phone. LOL They helped me through it all. They have a beautiful pool area and photo artwork of the beautiful landscapes in Arizona. The restaurant was good as well. Five stars for my friends at Embassy Suites East! You guys are amazing ❤️✌️
- 3/5
Bathroom toilet initially flushed ok if you held the handle down until it fully flushed. Then it would not flush completely at all. The toilet design was the issue. I've been a contractor for 20+ yrs and have never seen such poorly designed inner workings of a toilet tank.
- 4/5
Very good staff. Always very polite as usual. Have stayed here a few times. The only problems aee that the refrigerators are never cold and the ice machines never work. Also there are no smart tv's, so you never stream apps from your phone. Nice property. Just needs some updates and repairs.
- 5/5
Easy parking
- 2/5
I stayed 4 nights. Not once did I have a hot shower. Best you could hope for was luke warm after running the faucet for 10 minutes. The staff changed me to a different room midway through my stay. Different room, same miserable cold showers. I asked everyone I saw in the elevator. They all had the same issue. They should have to disclose this on their website
- 5/5
Excellent hotel with friendly staff.
- 4/5
Great breakfast, good evening reception. Both ice machines broken. Ordered ice through room service. It never was delivered.
- 5/5
I was visiting Arizona from Seattle to take my daughter to the UofA .I decided to stay at The Embassy Suites because of location and the great ratings. This place did not disappoint! They allowed for me to have an Amazon package delivered with such ease and I am so grateful! The hotel was clean, the staff was caring, and the pool area was wonderful! I will definitely be staying here again!
- 5/5
Our stay was a birthday celebration for our 16 year old son and his best friend. Spent the afternoon at Round 1 and the movies at Park Place Mall, then headed to the hotel. The boys worked out at the hotel gym, swam and then settled in for the evening. The suite was great- spacious, clean, quiet. The boys had the bedroom and my husband slept on the sofa bed (pretty uncomfortable). Great breakfast in the morning! A total success! We’ll be back!
- 5/5
Front desk ladies on Friday night check in were amazing! Breakfast was delicious! Movie night at the pool was perfect for the kids on Saturday night. Overall was a wonderful experience!
- 5/5
Very friendly staff, great food
- 5/5
Loved the stay here, nice room for the money
- 5/5
Convenient clean everything you need!
- 5/5
Would highly recommend except for some equipment did not work properly. Air conditioning was very loud and did not provide the temperature I wanted. The little fridge in the did not work at all.
- 5/5
Very nice and clean. We were given free drinks and a movie night by the pool!
- 5/5
Happy hour and free beer all good and wonderful
- 5/5
Excellent customer service, friendly and courteous staff.

- 1/5
Room was stuffy, AC not the greatest, room stink like mold and just old. This was a king suit. The fridge wasn’t working. Very disappointed in this place. We stayed just for one night didn’t bother calling front desk and it just rang. We let the grandkids play in pool had dinner elsewhere and purchased a few fans as the room was hot!
- 5/5
It has always been a good reminder of welcoming ever since I stayed there for my wedding night. The staff, the breakfast is completely amazing and that happy hour as well!
- 5/5
This Embassy Suites in East Tucson was perfect for our family's stay. The room was large, clean and comfortable. The evening happy hour and breakfast were fantastic with food and drinks.
- 4/5
The customer service was top tier and accommodating. The pool and pet friendly area toward the back were perfect for our 2 dogs. The a/c in the rooms can be better but nothing too unbearable. The breakfast was amazing.
- 4/5
I have stayed here numerous times and always have had a good experience, but there is one employee that works the front desk who is rude
- 4/5
Our stay was good, minus the fact the hotel was all out of hand soap. Other then that everything was ok
- 5/5
Beautiful hotel. Staff were very friendly. Breakfast is fantastic. The only negative part for our family is that we use the sofa bed for two of our children to sleep on and that bed is not comfy at all. The springs are very noticeable. One of my boys opted to just put the couch cushions on the floor instead and sleep on that instead of the couch mattress. But other than that, it was an enjoyable stay.
- 5/5
it was great
- 5/5
Great Staff
- 5/5
Clean Comfortable Beautiful Dog friendly Love the huge grassy areas and trees Breakfast is wonderful Rooms are spectacular Views are spectacular Love love love this place!!!
- 4/5
My staying was good for good price nice breakfast big pool the only thing that I recommend is to clean the carpet of the rooms the room it looks remodeled but the carpet is very dirty my little daughter had her feet very dirty the rest is good for the price
- 5/5
Great comfortable clean stay
- 3/5
The toilet didn’t work properly. Took 3-4 flushes just to get rid toilet paper. Both tv remotes didn’t work right. Only powered on and off
- 3/5
We stayed here for an affordable family trip and found it to be a good option with kids. The pool was nice, and the evening activities like movie night were a fun bonus. The room itself was decent, though not as clean as we’d hoped. That said, the staff were kind, helpful, and quick to respond when we requested extra housekeeping. Overall, a solid choice for a low-cost, family-friendly stay.

- 5/5
Love Embassy Suites! This one did not disappoint!
- 5/5
Very friendly staff, excellent breakfast! Will definitely come back.
- 5/5
Our suite had a br w 2 bds plus a sofa bed living room. Everything worked out very well.
- 1/5
Not in a very nice location
- 5/5
Breakfast offers omelets made on the spot. easy access to the car and dining are no matter where you are. feels very private with the open green area in the middle. Always stay here when in tucson.
- 5/5
Easy access
- 5/5
It was very pretty and relaxing. Free breakfast was amazing!
- 4/5
Fridge was not cold and could not find any way to adjust temp. Outdoor balcony was great but furniture needs painting or replace.
- 5/5
The staff was awesome. The orange blossoms in the garden smelled so nice. Wonderfulmstay.
- 5/5
Brandon is the check in was amazing! Everyone in the hotel is very friendly and helpful!
- 5/5
Has a restful night. Breakfast was delicious, there was a lot of variety to chose from.
- 3/5
Needs updating
- 5/5
We really love the stay there, it was our second time there. Would love to see another jacuzzi, we waited til about 9:40 pm until it wasnt full of people, so we didn't get to enjoy it like we anticipated. Maybe have a time limit for people so that everybody gets a chance to enjoy the amenities.
- 5/5
The breakfast was amazing! Staff was very friendly. They were able to accomodate large groups with little difficulty.
- 5/5
Great place to stay super convenient happy hour and free. Breakfast are also fantastic.
- 3/5
Staff was always very friendly. Room was not so nice. The refrigerator didn’t work.
- 5/5
Didn’t catch his name but supervisor that was there around 12 amazing because of you I’d return
- 5/5
Room was clean and nicely furnished. Breakfast was great! Worth going down for Staff was extremely accommodating. We enjoyed our two night stay.
- 5/5
Didn't like that the pool was cold (about 65) but it was in the 50's at night so maybe too hard to keep it heated. Staff was super friendly and we will definitely stay here again.
- 5/5
Nice hotel, well maintained. The room was clean. The restaurant on site had good food, and the bartender was great.
- 5/5
Brandon checked us in and was so very accommodating! The upgrade, cocktail hour appetizers and drinks were wonderful. Very welcoming and top notch service. Thank you for a great night!
- 5/5
Clean, beautiful room and properly. I have never had a problem at an embassy suites property.
- 5/5
Great place to stay when in town!
- 5/5

- 5/5
Sometimes the A/C and heating unit wouldnt work properly.
- 4/5
Good value for the money. The room being on the front of the building close to the Speedway road was a bit noisy. Our biggest complaint was with the smell in the breakfast restaurant. It needs better ventilation above the omlet station. After eating there, all our clothes and hair smelled from the cooking so much so that we felt to need to re-shower and change clothes after breakfast. Also the layout of the restaurant is chaotic and crowded. The restaurant used individual salt/pepper packets, paper and plastic cups, and tiny plastic creamers which is extremely environmentally unfriendly.
- 3/5
For the price I was expecting,"wow" instead we got ,"ehh". Requested a earlier check in we actually had to wait till 3:30. We receive 2 complimentary drinks between 5 -630pm we went down to bar & there was such a long line we passed ( if there complimentary they should allow guests to come when it's convenient to their stay) breakfast would of been great but there wasn't enough seating and it was very confusing no direction on how or what was available. The chef was there alone handling everyones orders. He was amazing but it would of been nice if someone would have cleared & cleaned tables. We had to clean up someone's mess before we could sit at a table.
- 5/5
The orange trees around are surprise and kids really love seeing them!
- 4/5
Nice stay. Bed was super comfortable and room was spacious for one person. Easy to get ito U of A. The happy hour beer selection was lacking compared to other Embassy Suite stays though.
- 5/5
I enjoyed the hot breaskfast each day and the hot tub was relaxing.
- 5/5
Everyone was very friendly and the property was awesome. Will be my Togo place now
- 2/5
Room was run down and dated. Entire facility is dark and gloomy like the set of a Halloween movie. When we got in the car to leave, my wife looked at me and said ‘Yuk’.
- 5/5
Loved to stay there and breakfast is really good
- 5/5
All are very good
- 3/5
I understand. It’s a franchise. The area wasn’t “the best” of locations. They were ok for what we needed…. I’m just used to a setting like the one in San Diego, San Francisco, Monterey….
- 3/5
If you’re staying on the side of the hotel facing the main road, the noise of the traffic is a bit distracting… The room itself was very nice, balcony and chairs were a nice touch, fridge and microwave very convenient. Bathroom cleanliness was not up to par. Also the conditioner was not stocked on the wall mounted toiletries in the shower and the toilet barely flushed… Complimentary breakfast was fantastic! Really great selection! Fresh and hot, nice atmosphere in the restaurant and clean… Pool area also looked fantastic!
- 5/5
Quiet
- 4/5
The staff was great, especially at the bar/breakfast. There were 3-4 people in line both times I went to the front desk, just one girl working. She was nice though. The courtyard and pool areas are well kept and the plants were huge and beautiful. The buliding/ rooms are bit out of date. The carpet and bedding were just old and worn making it hard for the room to feel clean.
- 5/5
We enjoyed our stay! Breakfast was good. Room was clean. The kids enjoyed the pool. We will stay again
- 5/5
I had a good stay!
- 4/5
We like the rooms because of a closed off bedroom from a sitting room area which allows for some privacy for those who sleep later than others. We also enjoy the delicious breakfast which is fresh and plentiful and offers a variety for all.
- 4/5
Great Location, rooms appear to have been updated, lobby as well, the property is quite old, needs an overall facelift.
- 4/5
Liked breakfast
- 5/5
Very clean, good breakfast and friendly service!
- 5/5
I think his name was Brandon at check-in. But very friendly and we checked in a little early and the room wasnt quite ready, but he understood that I had a baby and a toddler and moved things around to get us into a room right away! Room was a King suite and was nice & spacious, loved the big bathroom with 2 sinks and the separate rooms w/a door of which we used a lot. Missed the free drink happy hour as we had plans, but we were pleasantly surprised with the quality of the free hot breakfast. Definitely would stay again!
- 5/5
Great breakfast choices and free drink vouchers. Not so great restaurant service and dinner options.
- 2/5
Our suite was spacious if a bit dated; however it was quite cold on this November evening and adjusting the thermostat had little effect. A hot shower really helped, though, and the beds were fine. A very nice breakfast was included in our (quite reasonable) rate. Hotel management needs to reconsider the traffic layout of the small serving space as it was impossibly jammed. Beautiful grounds provided a great area for walking with our dogs. In short, this property could be truly outstanding with repairs to the HVAC system and a few minor tweaks.
- 5/5
The room and amenities were perfect for our weekend stay for a wedding. One day of cleaning was missed and when it was cleaned, it was not very thorough. But we still enjoyed our stay
- 5/5
Definitely worth it and clean rooms and huge rooms would definitely come back out to stay
- 4/5
Was convienient
- 1/5
Ken at the front desk has been awful each time I’ve encountered him. He wasn’t helpful at all and couldn’t figure out the computer to check me in: instead of offering solutions he stared and me and told me I needed to figure it out. I was looking forward to the hot tub at night: it was broken and murky, with no sign that it was in fact broken. This was my third, and likely last, stay here.
- 5/5
We got married in Tucson but decided to join our out of town guests and stay at the property. It was so nice. Great breakfast and happy hour. Charli who helped ck in our family and friends was a dream. Wow…great staff! My only grievance would be that it would have been nice to have been offered a bigger room for my now husband and stepchildren. However, the mountain views were spectacular!

Great stay. Room was well laid out and appointed. Screen door to balcony would not work. Kept falling off. Toilet upgtaded to save o water but unfortunately took t flushes to get anything down. Kinda defeated the purpose. Staff were friendly. The one girl on bar was amazing even though she was overwhelmed. Not to sure if their staffing level was good. Perhaps someone was sick that day and didnt show. The restaurant food was good though nd plentiful. Pool and hot tub looked inviting butthe day we were there it was much to cold to participate.

Great STAFF! Always helpful. The manager was so kind and helpful. The place was nice and the morning breakfast was Great. We had a great veiw from our balcony. Great for familys. The pool was so nice, and that hot tub was even better on my muscle on those long days of hiking. Location was great as well.

Love restaurant and typical embassy amenities. Didn’t like outside atrium, and dusty

We had a great time overall. The room was really nice and very clean. We loved the fact that we had a balcony that overlooked the mountain. The room had a great table and “bar” area. It was great that the room had a mini fridge, but we had hoped there would be a freezer which there was not. The bathroom was super big and clean, and the shower was amazing. The downside of the room was at the bed was extremely hard and there are too many doors. We also had a small issue with the AC. The temperature in the room was either way too cold or too warm, and there didn’t seem to be a happy medium. We loved the fact that there’s breakfast in the morning and the guy making omelettes was phenomenal. We did try and order room service, but we were told it wasn’t available due to a large wedding and there only being one employee. Instead, we opted to go down to pick up food thankfully they gave us 10% off for the inconvenience. Overall, our stay was great and we will definitely be staying here again!

First room we had smelled like cats which I am allergic too. Pretty dirty and messy.
