The Bayside Inn & Marina

Make sure you enter the facility on the side you wish to park because they have a cone in one lane and a vehicle in the other lane so you have to go back out on the highway to get to the other side of the hotel. Kitchen dishes were discusting. In their defense they did leave a note telling you they are not santized... make sure you wash them before use because this more than sanitization. They were visibly dirty. To check in an hour early I was quoted $75 (the room cost $125) They will let you park there early (nice benefit). Cannot use the pool early because of liability.

Awesome place

The cleanest hotel I have stayed at in the last 5 years. Highly recommend staying here. Easy accesss to the beach, restaurants and central avenue.

I was visiting my son and his family for Mother’s Day. I live in Florida and travel with my dog. I rented a small 1BR for one night. I was very pleasantly surprised the room was extremely clean. The gentleman that checked me in was extremely polite and helpful. The grounds were beautifully landscaped. The pool was extremely clean. The room had a small kitchenette and I believe a longer stay would have been comfortable. The bed was confortable. The water pressure was great but the shower was small. I am 5’3” and medium build so not an issue for me, but if you were a taller or larger person, it would be difficult to turn around I think. As for me, I will definitely stay again when I am in the area!

We had a wonderful stay at this hotel and would definitely return. The property was exceptionally clean and beautifully maintained, with lush tropical plants and landscaping that created a relaxing resort-like atmosphere. One of our favorite features was its location right on the Intracoastal, offering gorgeous views and a peaceful setting. The pool was spotless and pleasantly warm, making it enjoyable any time of day. The entire property felt inviting, well cared for, and comfortable. The staff was friendly and kind. If you're looking for a relaxing waterfront getaway with tropical vibes and a nice pool, this hotel is an excellent choice.

Everything about it. The quick access to the beach , boardwalk was 5 minutes away, excellent showers with shampoo, conditioner, body wash right inside the shower. The pool out front. The staff seemed to watch us when we were outside our room , I didn't like it but I couldn't do anything about it either.

Owner was a bit too involved…followed us to the pool and asked us to pick up shells inside the pool from another guest whose kids threw shells into the pool…thought that was strange. Then when we got back from dinner around 11pm my husband and our friend were smoking a cigar with a cocktail outside with the doors cracked…he came to our room which was upstairs and demanded we close the door…. this guy has nothing else better to do than to micromanage every single guest here… I felt I was being targeted because we are bikers.

They came with silverware pots and pans all dishes to make you feel at home. They had a substitute person working their business, which was a very strong man that worked at other resorts or hotels in the area so he was just filling in and he was super Duper nice but when the owners came back today when we were leaving, they were not as friendly at all I don’t know if there was a language barrier or what but they didn’t seem very friendly as I told them their property was spectacular that we had an awesome time and we just got like a little bit of a nod.

The location was amazing, right across the street from the beach and walking distance to many restaurants and stores.The kitchenette was definitely a huge plus. The pool was heated and very clean. The location is also fog friendly.

There was also mold in the tiny bathroom, & dried food on the kitchen cabinets! They charged an additional $50 fee for our dog, ( that was not in the original costs for a pet-friendly hotel!) Staff were very friendly though.

We had a wonderful weekend beach trip, and the Bayside Inn & Marina was the perfect place to stay! The room was adorable and ideal for the weekend. It had everything we needed for a comfortable and relaxing weekend! The inns location and parking were perfect, we were at the beach within minutes! This is such a gem, and we will definitely be back to enjoy more of the Florida sun and stay again!

The only thing that I could possibly say that I thought was elevated was the slips where you park your boat. I felt like it was excessive compared to what I have been paying locally.

The room was clean but we woke up to a cockroach by the bed. The sheets were stained. Overall so unimpressed with this place for the amount of money I paid. I also asked for a refund after seeing the condition of the place but was not able to get one. The pictures do not look like the actual building or rooms. So unfortunate.

House keeping was everyothwr day but didnt get during sunday to thursday stay. Such great desk staff and issue with door lock was fixed by the nicest manager

We had the best stay ever! Rooms were updated and very clean. They were also able to accommodate our little dog as well. The owners are very nice and personable! We are already looking to booking our next stay and it’s in a prime location to everything!

The property had been updated, everything was new and clean. I only stayed two nights and all met my needs. If I were to stay longer, it would be nice to have a larger refrigerator with a freezer and a sofa chair for seating. Also, window in the bathroom needed to be repainted over because there were areas where someone could see in to the bathroom from the outside.

The place looked nice from the outside, but was not so nice or clean on the inside. The bathroom had a strange water issue where there was water underneath the flooring. Every time you stepped in the bathroom floor, water (probably dirty!) would come up from the seams. Management would not provide a different room and basically said you’re only here for a few days. The water damage can clearly be seen in the baseboard and bathroom door. The damage was so bad the the bath door also was falling apart and would stick to the frame when opening it.

They welcomed my big dog..the room was super clean..nice pool and the patio our back was nice…everything was just better than expected

We had 1 night stay here. The interior of our room was fully redecorated and a besutiful studio apartment. The kitchen was fully outfitted. Beautiful boat slips at the back of the property. It was 100% beautiful and functional inside!

The rooms have been beautifully remodeled since my last stay here. We checked in really late at night after traveling all day and asked for a late check out and the staff was not pleasant about my extra 45 min stay.

No the ocean wasn’t visible but it was close, and we didn’t use the pool but it looked nice

We absolutely loved staying here! Easy check-in. Everything was brand new due to last years Hurricane. Pet friendly. Super comfortable bed and spacious room! Super close and walking distance to restaurants and bars and the beach across the street!! We will definitely make this our go to hotel when we come for our weekend getaways to Treasure Island!

The property is completely remodeled since our last visit due to hurricane damage and we love it. The pool is close to complete and workers were putting on the final plaster coat when we were there. I'm sure it will be awesome when complete. We love the location and seek out properties in that general area and always pick the best value when available. I enjoy fishing at night along their canal dock.

Trust me if you are in treasure island you want to stay here it was worth every penny the rooms are all brandnew and clean and beautiful and your walking distance to the beach and the owners were so nice and kind and treated me so good i was supposed to check in at 12am and i didnt make it until 4:30 am they still let me in at that time 5 stars i give them

After my check in the owner also got in a confrontation with someone in the parking lot. The pool is also out of service. Also knocking on door @ 10:50am with attitude about check out. As I was checking out there was also another patron in an argument with these people.

Compare to the other properties in the area and you will recognize the value. The owner is very hands-on and proud of the renovation. This is a TOTAL MUST STAY option in the area

The bed was very comfortable. The air conditioning worked great. The room was tiled so the beach sand didn’t soil any carpeting. The room served it’s purpose for me and saved money over staying at othe beach hotels.

This really is an excellent little place to stay amongst some of the giant resorts on Treasure Island. The air was ice cold, the room was clean, and had everything you need to cook utensil wise. It isn't beachfront but it is waterfront and directly across from the beach on Gulf Blvd. Do yourself a favor and book this place!

Well. This hotel is everything it says it is in the brochure, it's just the very bare minimum of what it says. It's clean and quiet. It was an apparent inconvenience checking in at 6 something pm the attitude was key in figuring that out. It took a long time to check in seriously like 30 minutes. If you use the " do not disturb" door hanger keep in mind they still knock on the door so it's kinda useless. Now the oddest and last thing about my 3 nights there was they had the office section of the horseshoe driveway coned off. If you want to call a Lyft or Uber maybe a friend to pick you up it's a 15 point turn to get back out of the driveway. I know very little about driveways but my untrained eyes saw nothing wrong with it. I mean no black holes or voids to a different dimension. Look flat and smooth with no potholes either. Personally I think they didn't want to be bother by the guests coming and going.

We live locally, and we love the peacefullness of this property. The pool is next to the road but is secluded by palms, its romantic, perfect spot. Owners are very nice, Helped me when i didnt see cleaning girl. I will continue to refer them to all my friends and family. They made my Birthday weekend Special. Thanks Again

Lovely 50s style motel. Large room with well equipped kitchenette. Clean room and pool. Handy for walking to the beach and for bars and restaurants. Walgreens and Publix a short walk away too. We booked for 3 nights and stayed for 5. Would recommend this motel.

The managers of property have zero hospitality skills the the pool towels have a very bad odor from being in their living space the towels in the room are so old that they are grey not white anymore and the managers watch everything you do not a good place to stay I will never go back !!!

The operators live on site in a room at the front desk office. The entire area has an Oder of food from them cooking in the room leaving the smell on all of the towels that they CONTROL for the pool. We had to go buy our own pool towels as the Oder was nauseating. We watched them have total disregard for anyone under 25 especially if they were females. The run this cute motel like a jail telling you when to go to sleep n stay away from the front of your room after 10pm. Not worth the money or having to deal with the 2 operators who have ZERO hospitality skills.

I booked the wrong weekend but the front desk lady was so rude. She wouldn’t even let me wait in lobby while I tried to find a different hotel, so I was out in my car trying to make arrangements and she then sent somebody out to tell us we had to leave. I could have went back this weekend but chose not too

Great little hidden gem on Treasure Island. Very comfortable beds. Staff was fun. Nice to stay at a hotel that does not have all the hidden fees.

When i not entered the room it was Ok, just Ok. Don't get excited. Bathroom was a joke, tap in the shower dripped continually, the toilet flushed once and did not ever again, the fridge leaked, the tub was dirty and needed a good cleaning and caulking. Lets just say, i would never stay here nor recommend this as a place to stay.

This is my favorite place to stay in Treasure Island. It sits right on the bay and it's just across the street from the beach. Beds are comfortable and the kitchenette is nice. Owner is friendly and the location is very conveniently located.

I’ve stayed here a few times now, solo, two of us and now with my family. Beds are double beds, view of marina, outside has two chairs and small table. Pool out front is comfortable. Owner is strict on pets and has various rules, however, I think that’s great because it’s their business and you can see they take pride in it. Each time was pleasant and a great place to lay your head at night. If you are looking for luxury this won’t be the spot but it’s cute , comfy and I would come back.

Our main complaint was the shower, it was either very hot or very cold no matter how hard you try to get it in between. Overall the place was nice, all we needed was a place to sleep and keep our things safe while we were away so it was not so bad. Would possibly come again.

Great location and excellent price. The room was big and comfortable and had everything we needed. There was just a couple of things that could use improvement. The air conditioner was ridiculously loud, like it’s on its last days or something. The bathroom could use an update. We couldn’t get the water going and had to go tell someone. Basically there was a pull and turn trick to turn the water on. That shouldn’t be a thing that guests have to figure out. Other than that everything was great! The room was super clean, spacious and comfortable. We purposely wanted a room with a kitchenette and we were happy that everything we needed to cook a meal was available to us.

The location of the property was good, we could park and walk everywhere we wanted to go or get the trolley. The property could use a little TLC, our room did not have a clock, microwave clock didn’t work, AC did not cool well, walls very thin. Our neighbor heard us snoring and we heard them sneezing. The area was great but might look around for a different place

The location and access to beach, restaurants, shops, grocery store & public transportation was superb. It was clean and nice to have kitchenette with microwave, refrigerator and stovetop (did not use). There were also grills available out back for a $10 per use fee. This is not a typical resort but more of a retro beach motel. Staff was available and helpful during our stay.

Everyone was very nice. The owner stay up late as I did not check in until after 11 PM. My only recommendation would be adding an additional mirror in the bedrooms, so us females can get ready. Besides that, everything was great!

We always enjoy returning to Bayside. One of our go to accomodations when at Treasure Island.

Towels need to be changed. Bathroom was basic, broken ceramic cup holder on wall, water was hot, but very dated. Room was supposed to be an efficiency however, less than basic supplies, minimum cutlery, no knives (because they are dangerous and may be used as a weapon) in the words of the owner. No scissors, only one burner out of 2 worked.

We were unable to stay here and tried 4 times to speak with someone and discuss it but they were not willing to talk about it and were not nice

The location is right across the street from the beach and a block to the Waffle House and a mile to John's Pass. The area is not as crowded as Clearwater so no fighting the traffic. Would definitely stay again.

The room itself was clean and decent however when I was checking out the first thing the lady at the counter asked me was “did you do any damage to the room?” I found this astonishing and extremely rude, especially since she was pointing at me and speaking to her husband in their native tongue. Of course my response was, “absolutely not! As I mentioned last night I was here for a funeral service and just needed a good night sleep”.

Dirty sheets … needed to wait till almost 9 pm to get a clean sheet … gave me a flat sheet … and it was the fitted sheet that was dirty… had to make the bed myself… never staying here again …. I won’t even let my dog walk around in the room, she’s staying in the stroller till we leave ….

Clean but very, very basic. TV did not have many channels or smart capabilities, linens on the bed were old and had some holes. Only one nightstand. Nowhere to put luggage. No extra linens in closet. There was one tiny bar of soap and the towels felt like sandpaper. The shower was very outdated and stained. Owner’s daughter was very sweet and pleasant.

We were late appx 9:30 check in, had to wait on clerk to come into office. We got the last room, that looked like it had been updated, although the shower wasn't the best. New windows, nice king bed. The window in the bathroom had no coverings, therefore anyone outside could look into the bathroom. Not good when getting out of the shower.

You get what you expect from a 70 year old building in an old beach community. It wasn't a bad place, clean and comfortable enough. However, the stay was nightmarish. The person in the room next to us was violently screaming vulgarities among other things, deep into the night, into what I assume was a telephone as her voice was the only one heard. It was not possible to sleep. Eventually the screaming subsided occasionally around 1:30 am maybe, but her TV had been on loudly enough to clearly listen to the programing very well. This went on until at least 4:am. Management did nothing. Paid for a decent nights sleep which was stolen. I'd like our money back. We eventually fell asleep, woke about 7:am and got the hell out of there.

Unit has everything we need, is clean, and the check in was easy and personable. Dog friendly but all well behaved dogs so far. Peaceful and relaxing, just what we needed.

Listen please. The hotel is cute, comfortable and cheap. However, the owner/manager was not pleasing and direct and rude at the end. We lost our key at midnight and knocked on the office with no answer multiple times and had to sleep in our car. I believe a refund is due. We finally got in the room at 7:00am and left at 11am.
