Blue Waters Treasure Island

Good: We loved the easy access to the beach. It would be a good property for families, and a good property for a group trip in that the individual units are all situated around a common area which has lots of seating and a couple of grilling areas. Not-so-good: We made several contacts with management because the tv in the living room didn't work and were completely ignored. Also, the showers in both bathrooms are very small and the bathroom off of the bedroom wouldn't have worked if we were bigger people or had mobility issues-extremely cramped.

The property was small which was nice..great access to the beach and boardwalk..close to Clearwater and St. Pete..pool was nice.and the studio was great..had a full kitchen, and also had a laundry area..my only complaint was no one was on the property to get clean towels..you had to call, text or leave a voice mail..which was always full...we could never reach anyone and was there 9 days...did laundry a few times.

Absolutely amazing. Can't wait to come back!!

There were no tissues and I was there alone but if there had been a second person it would have been too small. For the cost it was not worth it. Lastly we were instructed not to take the towels to the beach. Not sure why.

Considering a return for next year but already booked! Very close to the beach but quiet and safe.

Quaint and clean little condos directly across the street from the beach. Shared community pool, and nice little patio with firepit. Nice walk to some venues, quick drive to all the rest. Would definitely book again, and even with the family (as our condo was two bedroom).

Bed was quite low. Nice location to get to beach.

Convenient location. They were supposed to send email with check in instructions a week ahead of time but did not, so I had to contact them. Room was very small. Bathroom door creaked loudly when moved.

Only two wash rags for two adults that were staying there for three days/two nights and no hot water. Room very musty smelling, had go buy glade and Kleenex since none there to use. Room was very clean though

The cottage was very cute and clean. The pool was nice with a nice amount of seating outside. The beach was across the street and easily accessible. We enjoyed our stay!

This was such a hidden gem, we stayed in unit number seven which was two bedrooms and two baths, one was a king bed and one was a queen bed. It had everything we needed in the kitchen and the front door walked exactly out to the beach and the back door straight to the pool. They were girls by the pool and two parking spaces per unit. There was beach parking across the street if you had more people that came you could pay to park there as well. The staff was very accommodating to us and we will most definitely be back

The place was clean. No wifi available, in shower sometimes water wasn't hot. I thought i was renting a one bed room turned out to be a studio. Close to beach was nice, i would goback if wifi was guaranteed

Loved the location we actually had a scooter drop off right on the corner and rented scooters! It was super quiet and clean the beach was great also! 10/10

This was a great place for a small getaway on the beach. If I was doing this trip again, I might try somewhere else. It was a great place, but the shower pressure was horrible and the water wasn’t very hot at all. Other than that- no real complaints.

Good value, neat and clean. Parking is very tight for our Chevy Silverado. Luckily space 4 had a very small car and gave us a wider path for space 5. Rooms 1-5 have tight parking.

Check-in was a little confusing as we did not get our instructional email prior to arrival. Had to drive around block 3 times before finding where to turn in at. Received quick text respinse from owner, however, and she was very friendly and helpful. Stayed in Room #2, was small but functional for our weekend need. Smelled slightly like mold or mildew at first but AC helped clear it out. Bathroom was VERY tiny and claustrophobic - difficult to maneuver in and out of shower. Access panel in ceiling had small leak. Would have preferred less kitchen space and bigger bathroom! Obnoxious fiesta music at night and strong pot odor around pool. Would probably stay here again, since beach access was so convenient.

Iam visiting this place several times.perfect location,close beach and bay.i love this motel,everything was great,just some little things ,doors is so hard to open and tv not working and no change towels all week

The accommodations were basic, clean, very comfortable, perfect for us. A special thank you to Leighanna. We were having some difficulty connecting to wifi and she was immediately available and worked with us until the problem was completely resolved. Great customer service.

It was really nice and had everything that you need it and more. The only thing bad was the smell of mildew in the room. Besides that we love the room!!

Adorable little place just across the street from the beach. Better than I was expecting.

The pool side cottages are up to date and very clean. I would recommend this location to a family preferring a calmer island experience with easy beach access. There are two bars with live music less than a mile up the road and a little further up just about every Island experience is available. You’ll need to walk your dog around the block for potty breaks and take doggie bags for that. Kitchen is small but has all you need. If you plan to grill make sure you have a metal spatula or ask to borrow one from a neighbor. If you want a calm place to relax without too much noise this is perfect. Would make a great place to work remotely and enjoy the beach. Kids and neighbors around here are not too loud and rowdy.

My family had a wonderful stay in unit #7. Nicely appointed unit with 2 bedrooms & 2 bathrooms. Living/dining room combo. Efficient cold central air & ceiling fans in all rooms. Kitchen has many supplies, making it easy to prep & bbq...even has a blender for margaritas! Bathrooms have hair dryers & complimentary shampoo, conditioner, shower gel, bar soap, & body lotion. Great for families with kids & dog friendly! Small property is well cared for, has patio seating areas with grills & fenced off pool/sun bathing area. Beach very short walk across the street. One small negative I found was the king size bed in one of the bedrooms was a little lumpy...but a decent memory foam mattress topper would probably fix that. The queen size bed in the other room was great though & sheets were super soft on both beds. Only wished check-out was 11am instead of 10am, but that's more of my procrastinating nature talking.

Had a great time! Pool was like a sauna, in direct sun not refreshing at all, although beach is right across the street. Will definitely visit again but instead maybe the small 2 bedroom houses.

We loved our stay at treasure island. Our cottage was lovely and cozy with beach access across the street. We will definitely be back again.

Stayed 3 nights at Blue Waters, had a great time. Room was clean and nicely updated. Included a small kitchen area complete with everything you’d need to cook meals, which is nice when you don’t want to eat out all the time. Right across the street from public beach access. Located on the southern end of Treasure Island, so nice and quiet. Has a designated parking space so you don’t have to search for one. Will visit again!

Great looking property across the street from the beach. The property is newly renovated. Room was clean and comfortable. My wife and I were pleasantly surprised.

Property had all necessary amenities. Check in very expeditious. Located in a very laid back area of Treaure Island, quiet but also close to the action in a short walk. Wish my wife and I stayed a night or two longer. Negative, watch out for protruding Murphy bed frame in small unit. It’s a trip hazard/ankle smasher.

The beach, saw a beautiful sunset. Treasure beach, though more built up than it was before it was discovered, is still a gem. In terms of the accommodation, If you are a non smoker like me and are allergic to the smell of stale cigarette smoke, be sure to Ask for a non-smoking room, one with no historic smoke smell as I think all are non smoking now. Proprietor was gracious and very accommodating when I complained about the smell and offered to put me in another room. Place has a small swimming pool and common area and has a lot of charm.

Absolutely delightful location. Newly renovated and has a great design. Loved the high ceilings! Right across from gorgeous beach park access.

Good stay however red tide made ocean unbearable

Was just going to Treasure Island for a concert and needed a place to crash so we wouldn’t have to drive home. We all totally fell in love with this place and decided it will be the only place we stay I. Treasure Island going forward!!

Pet friendly hotel. Quiet neighborhood a short walk to the beach, local eating and shopping. Clean rooms, plenty of kitchen equipment. Fort DeSoto dog beach @ 15 min drive south. Pool area with plenty of seating and bar-b-q grills. Great location. highly recommend.

Overall the place was nice

Family friendly. Right across from beach, and easy to bring children to. Many outdoor grilles to bbq, and nice area to sit with family to eat dinner. Beds were very comfortable, and overall accomidations were pleasant

Very nice place, will go back

There is much to recommend about this place but there are a couple drawbacks. The lock boxes your key is in are difficult to open and I needed help getting in mine and then I helped others get in theirs. Also, the parking space I was assigned was not easily identified and I was not given any instructions. Also, the toilet did not work correctly much of the time. But, the property is well maintained, staff are lovely, room clean and modern in general. Nice location. They just need better communication on parking, lock boxes, etc.

The check out time should be better by 11am than 10am.

Such a cute little cottage. Close parking, close to beach. Easy to find.

The only thing remotely negative I could say is that we arrived early and were not able to check in early even though the room was visibly ready. However, we did managed to change into our swim suits and enjoyed the pool. We are locals and always looking for weekend get-a-ways, we will revisit Blue Waters again.

A few things that were disappointing: 1. Construction across the street closed the nearest beach access. We were not told of this until right before checkin and were not offered to change hotels. The construction noise woke us up daily at 7 am and continued until dinner time. So much for a quiet beach vacation. While not necessarily the hotel's fault, they could have made come accommodation for this. 2. Beds may have been the hardest ones I've ever (not) slept in. If you love hard beds, this is the place; if not, don't count on sleeping. 3. Only given two bath towels on check-in; requested some personally from maid but never got them. Two towels for two adults for a 4-day stay. 4. Walked on floor barefoot for 15 minutes first day and my feet were filthy. No idea when the floor was last mopped, but it clearly had been a while. Wore shoes the rest of the time in the room. 5. Front door was beautiful...but 75% see-through glass with no option to close blinds, etc meant we had to engineer a way to have privacy in our living room and bathroom from those walking down the street. The hotel was a very good price for a stay in this area, and we could tell that it had potential to be a great stay. We enjoyed the outdoor seating and pool. Anything could be overlooked except the firmness of the beds for us.

This motel was fine no problems, but should had office on site, fantastic for beach.

Great location, very clean room and pretty comfortable though quite compact. The pictures on the website seem to all be of the cottages not the studios which are quite small but was suitable still for us. Biggest issue for us were the extremely thin walls, woken up by crying child next door both nights and could hear tvs on low volume from neighboring rooms. Probably the best room rates you’ll find in the area though.

Great two-bedroom cottages that are very comfortable for a family with a nice community feel in the common areas around the pool. Our only complaints were that we didn't know about the street construction which ruins some of the ambiance and a pool heater issue that had the pool quite chilly. If we're ever back in St. Pete Beach, this is where we'll stay.

We had a great stay in the studio room. We loved having a kitchen, pool, and the beach very close. The bathroom and shower were quite small and we didn’t love the Murphy bed but it worked. Also, restaurants, stores, and gas stations are a quick drive with Caddy’s restaurant and bar in walking distance. The beach was across the street but there was construction blocking the closest beach access. A quick walk gets you to a beach but there wasn’t much sand to sprawl out on. This is a great place for families needing a kitchen and great room options for groups staying together.

This was our second experience and we live the location! My only complaint was the unit was quite small which was ok for just sleeping. The shower on the other hand was way to small. My husband has a slight handicap and the shower was a problem even for myself!

No front desk so be sure to call ahead to check in.

What a pleasant surprise! Cute, clean cottage directly across the street from beach access. Magnificent sunset views. Updated rooms. Very clean. Close to local restaurants & bars... yet quiet area.

Sweet little place. We arrived later in the evening and left the following morning, so it was a real quick stay. We didn't realize it was a murphy bed until the next morning, but it was comfortable and we had a great night's sleep. Clean and tidy throughout. No hair dryer, but the bottle of wine made up for that! Key in lockbox was convenient.

Clean and right across street from Ocean. Perfect for us and we will be back!

Had a great stay. The hotel was great. Very clean. I had cottage #2 I had pool side viewing. And the best part was across the street was access to sunset beach. It was wonderful. Very friendly people as well. I would recommend and I would definitely stay again.

Overall a great experience, and exactly what I wanted. Very good email communication with manager Bertram prior - he was accommodating and helpful with my many questions. Misplaced the emailed access code for room key on day 1, called and he (or whoever answered) was able to help. Room, pool, and property all very clean and comfortable, and staff I met were friendly and always asked if they could do anything for me. Kitchen had all the basics, decent towels, storage, shower hot, etc. Phenomenal location across the street from a great beach. A few very small things would put this property in the excellent rage for me: 1) a floor/table lamp near the bed. The lights are all overheads - bed & kitchen. The bed light is in a ceiling fan, was turned off when I arrived so I had to climb on the bed to turn it on to have any light at all; 2) written instructions for tv remote operation and the A/C; 3) if you are a light sleeper, walls are thin and noise travels - not management's fault, just mentioning it. :) Otherwise, this was just what I wanted, and I'd happily stay here again - next time, for 3-4 nights.

This review pertains to the studio rooms not the villa/cottages: Don’t get me wrong, there were a lot of positives about this property. Quiet location in a residential area directly across from beach access with unobstructed views. The rooms were nicely decorated and clean, the courtyard was beautiful with string lights and grills for guest use. The pool was nice although missing good lighting. The huge major con for us was the bed. It is an old Murphy bed that they slapped a foam mattress pad on top of. I called after the first night to ask if they had any other accommodations they could provide us with and was told no and was given no explanation except “we have never had a complaint about that bed”. We stayed three nights and each night we woke up stiff and with hurt backs. The pillows were terrible and cheap. The bathroom did the job but was extremely small. They claim to have a mini maid service but in the 3 days and 3 nights we were there, nobody brought us fresh towels, toilet paper, or checked on us at all. After all of the five star reviews that I had read, I was expecting much more. This property has outstanding potential and while there were cons I would stay here again if the Murphy beds were replaced. That was a deal breaker for me and my back.

We loved our trip here. We stayed in an efficiency, which was beautifully decorated and stocked, but next time I will upgrade to the full-sized room. Mostly because of space and having the "I feel like I'm at home while on vacation" feel. That said, the complex is beautiful and the beach is directly across the street-what isn't to love!? I will definitely return next year.

This resort was so wonderful! It was directly across from the beach acess. Our families unit had an updated kitchen granet/ stainless, very comfortable. There were complimentary laundry facilities and a great courtyard for grilling. The staff was very friendly and attentive. We will be back!!

A short but very pleasant stay.

Everything is done by internet, no office. I did not receive the e-mail the night before which explained how to get into the room. Luckily for me there was a woman cleaning who contacted the office on my behalf. When I had tried to call # it would go into a prerecording telling me that the individuals account was full. I had tried for a good 20 minutes trying to contact someone. Even after I spoke with an individual instead of giving the security code via phone it was emailed to me. After getting into the cottage (#8) we discovered that the exterior shower curtain needed to be either cleaned or replaced. The faucet handle in the shower was loose. At one point we were going to use the provided blender to mix drinks but it had not been cleaned correctly before being put away. The towels were well worn and needed to be replaced. There was supposed to be a placard in the room with the wifi password but alas it was missing necessitating another visit with the woman working there. The wifi was not working in the following morning for a while. The cap that goes around the edge of the bottom of the bed was loose and sticking out making it a safety concern with the staples sticking out. The refrigerator needed a good cleaning. Lastly there was a provided recliner but that had not been cleaned in who knows when. I did not even attempt to contact anyone via phone because I knew it was going to be fruitless. I knew I would be taking the time to write a factual review.

Fantastic accommodation only seconds from the beach. Rooms were spotless and had everything you needed including beach towels which was very helpful. Local area was nice and quiet but only 15 minutes walk from bars and restaurants. Would definitely stay here again!

Beautiful condo resort, immaculately keep rooms and grounds.

We had a wonderful time! The proximity of the pool beach and cabin was perfect! The people were friendly and accommodating!

This property is wonderful. When I booked, it was not my first choice, however, from now on, it will be my only. This is a quaint, community type motel. Expect to meet people from all over. We had campfires, ate and swam together. The beach is footsteps away and restaurants are within a minutes drive. The pool is heated. Each unit has a full kitchen and the site provides all kitchen needs (including paper products) except for food. Shampoo, conditioner, soap, hair dryer and iron/ironing board in all units. Don't bring it. You won't need it! Free laundry facilities (and detergents) on-site 24-7. They even stocked beach towels and beach chairs! I stayed in a studio apartment which had a queen Murphy bed. It was comfy for one and cozy for two people. Rooms are non smoking but patio smoking is permitted. Pets are allowed. This is a busy place with folks coming and going throughout the day, yet at night, it is quiet. I really can't describe my enjoyment of this place. It was ... Just perfect!

Our stay was very relaxing. The pool was warm and clean. The rooms look much better than the pictures on the site. I was told they were recently remodeled. The beach was right across the street. Definitely will stay again.

Bed was comfortable. Make more room cause it a pull up bed. Shower is small. Full Kitchen is cute.

How ever it did have full kitchen and was great for cooking along with gas grill outside as well. Would I stay again YES if We upgraded to a bigger and better room or at least the bed. We did get locked into the room because the door locks are wore out and management was called, whom never showed up. lucky a neighbor was able to pry the lock open then I fixed it myself to prevent this from happening again.

We enjoyed our stay at Blue waters resort, we loved the fact it was a private setting in a queit neighborhood And the fact it was just a 2 minute walk to the beach was great! Will come back again.
