We stayed two nights here and while it looked decent online, I was disappointed with it overall. The lobby and hallways reeked of weed smell, the air conditioner was either freezing us out or had to be turned off (no medium setting which was challenging overnight), only one set of outlets actually held a plug in for use, the light over the bed didn't work, and the reflective wall behind the bed was just weird. The bed itself was good and the bathroom was clean, but people left bags of garbage in hall and were loud/ arguing in the halls overnight.

We slept well but the hotel itself wasn’t the best. It smelled strongly of cigarettes and the carpets super dirty. We spent two nights and on our first night there saw a bug in the bathroom. Bath towels and bed sheets full of stains. The only thing that I can’t complain about is the air conditioner.

The building is filthy. The hallways smell like cigarettes and weed, although the room didn’t smell bad, it wasn’t clean. There was old moldy food in the fridge, dirty socks in the drawer, hair in the tub and on the toilet paper, the wallpaper was peeling, and the towels looked dirty. There are zero amenities, no vending machines, no ice maker, no iron, and the “continental breakfast” was a tray of granola bars at the front desk. On top of all that, a guest exposed himself in the hallway and we didn’t feel safe. We left after the first night of our four night stay.

The room had a nonfunctioning A/C and one of the curtains was off its hooks…. called front desk and was given another…. not a good first impression, plus lingering smell of marijuana near the outside doors which btw, required being pulled closed behind you…. bed and shower were decent/ very good… the place seems to be needing a well needed remodeling…. front desk people very helpful and friendly…. expected a bit better for the cost of the stay...

Staff were extremely nice and helpful with trying to accommodate but the hotel itself was not the best. The entire building smelled like cigarettes even though the rooms are “non smoking”. Once you walk in there were towels on the floor from what seemed like a leak. One of our rooms had no working A/C and another had an awful smell of cigarettes and an indescribable smell that we could not tolerate. The front desk helped us out by switching out that room to another which the A/C made a weird noise but it was way better than the funky room. Would not return!

They have an old coffee brewer with powdery creamer and breakfast bars that say limit 2! The ice machine flooded the floor and 24/7 staff loud and laughing at the front desk my room was the 1st one! No flowers outside like in pictures and garbage by front door! Not happy with stay at all

This was THE WORST hotel I ever booked. I had to walk out and leave within a few hours because it was that disgusting. There was feces/crap left in the toilet and there was food crumbs on the tops of the counters near the bed and gum stuck into the carpet and what looked like blood stains on the wall and the towels that you would use on the body had horrible tinted stains on them and the bathroom floor felt like you were going to stay stuck to it. I had to go out of my way to find somewhere else to sleep....it was that disgusting!

After driving for more than 10 hours, my husband and I arrived at the hotel at approximately 2:00 AM, expecting a clean and ready room. Unfortunately, that was not the case. The room assigned to us was completely unprepared: The door key did not work after multiple attempts The bed was unmade, like someone had just left in a hurry Trash was left in the room The carpet was dirty The entire room had a strong smell of cigarette smoke When we brought this to the attention of the front desk, the attendant was unhelpful and dismissive, advising us to "take it up with your third party" instead of offering any resolution or alternative accommodations; he didn't provide a receipt AFTER charging my card for the room. To make matters worse, the hotel was fully booked, leaving us with no options. As a result, my husband and I were forced to spend the night sleeping in our car after an already exhausting drive. Following this experience, it took over three weeks of repeated effort to obtain an acknowledgement from the hotel for an and approval for a refund, which has added further frustration and stress. This situation is completely unacceptable. At a minimum, guests should be provided with a clean, habitable room and basic customer service—neither of which was delivered in this case. AVOID THIS PROPERTY. Pictures are very misleading here.

Slept on the first floor and heard every single step the person on the top floor took. Every time they flushed the toilet or had the water running I heard it as if it was coming from my bathroom. And the lobby stunk like mildew.

The towels and sheets were clean, but the rest was not very clean. The window didn’t latch, and the door was propped open when we first went in the room. There were no batteries for the tv remote, and there were none available to replace them. The lobby had a water saturated rug (from a leak) that we had to walk on to get to the check in desk. Overall, it was not very nice!

if you are allergic to mold and cigarette smell avoid this place because the rooms are completely smoky, they do not monitor it at all. mold everywhere, both in the bedroom and in the bathroom, and your blanket will be damaged by cigarettes. Also at a price of $ 70 per night you will not have any hygiene products in the bathroom, not even regular soap. Sorry but even in a two star hotel and a price of $ 40 they give shower gel and soap. Seriously this is terrible, avoid this month.

When we got there our reservation had been canceled but eventually we made another online through hotels.com. There was no refrigerator but staff brought one to our room the next day. The room is old but it was clean. Housekeeping was available everyday. Parking is easy but it’s a little hard to find the first time in the dark. They have unlimited coffee which was really nice and a microwave for everyone to use. We have stayed here several times in the past few years but this time there is a new owner and front desk staff changed several during the day. It doesn’t have the same feel as before.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. We changed our room to the room with two beds, but the heating/cooling system was not working, which we were asked first if it was okay since they only have two rooms with the two twin beds. We were fine with it. He would have adjusted the price for inconvience, but since we booked through a third party he could not do that.

I hate to be negative, but the hotel is poorly kept. I had to immediately change rooms upon arriving when I encountered a room with an unmade bed and a dirty towel across it. I booked a room several weeks before attending a concert in downtown Buffalo. The plan was to check in after the show, around midnight. Due to the late check in time, I called the hotel a couple of days beforehand to make sure that there wouldn’t be a problem. The person I spoke with assured me that it was fine. When I arrived at the hotel, a family was having a heated argument with the desk clerk. Apparently there was an issue cleaning their room - and mine as I was about to find out - so the manager (who wasn’t there) had cancelled our bookings without notifying us! The clerk explained that they didn’t have our contact info because we’d used third party reservation sites. This all sounded very suspicious. For starters, why was it that the people who checked in last had the issues? The answer was simple: hotels don’t make much profit on bookings made through third party sites, so the hotel gave our rooms to people without reservations who were willing to pay more for the rooms. Making matters worse, the clerk would not offer any help whatsoever. We had to find another hotel in the middle of the night! When I got back home I checked my credit card and the cost of the room was not credited; the hotel took my money in addition to whatever the person(s) who got my room that night paid.

After check in and when entering the bathroom noticed there was still dirty towels hanging up. Toilet wasn’t flushed and had hair in it. Bathtub had a black ring around it. When checking the bed you could tell the sheets weren’t changed. When we went down to the desk they gave us a mattress pad and one thin sheet that we had to put on ourselves. So we had to strip our own bed and take out all the old towels and clean the room ourselves to feel comfortable enough to sleep.

Quite the worst hotel I ever stayed in. What is funny, is I stayed in this hotel last fall and it wasn't bad, which is why I tried again. The guy who works the front desk is rude. Very rude and honestly this is not the business for him. The hotel is dirty. We didn't have towels. The bathroom light didn't work. The room was stank. If you wver have the opportunity to sleep in a homeless dude's tent for $150, or stay at the CenterWay for $15, pick the homeless dude's tent. It will probably be cleaner and he'll treat you nicer. Did I mention the guy at the front desk is unnecessarily rude? There were people leaving the hotel in frustration, even though they already paid, and the front desk worker was heckling them on the way out. I would like to say that at least it was a bed to lay my head on, but I would rather sleep in my car next time.

I liked the property, the parking, and the non-smoking room on the ground floor was also very nice, especially for the price. However, there was some kind of incident in the front lobby or in the area where the coffee machine was located very late at night and I felt nervous about it. I think there was a guest or a visitor who was drunk and that person was throwing up and was asked to leave. I was afraid that there might be something more terrible that could come of it. Once I was awake, I realized how i could hear other people in other rooms talking loudly and cursing. So, my stay was not as relaxing as I had hoped it would be and I am not sure I would do it again.

The staff was very nice. Just wish that what was advertized under Expedia matched the reality. There were no vending machines- no access to water or other drinks. The lounge room had no chairs, no coffee or cups- I dont think the coffee machine even worked. The room i chose was non smoking, it was clean but very shabby- the shower curtain was about to fall down, there was the odor of having been smoked in at one point and the rug had wrinkles and felt icky. The outside halls had a bad, stale odor. I would not recommend this place.

Parking is ample but very dark. Almost no lights, which made it feel very sketchy. As you open the door, there is a distinctive smell, and the hallway reeks cigarette smell. Because there is a bit of a gap with the door, you can smell the cigarette smell when you are going to sleep. I also found spiders in my room. As one can tell, I did not have a great experience in this hotel.

The bed was comfortable. The staff were nice. There were several problems with the reservation. The staff person that evening was new, and the hotel was using a new system. She found the reservation, but it was for a 'smoking' room, which we didn't want. Because the reservation was through Booking.com, she couldn't figure out how to move the room or change the preference. Smoking or non-smoking wasn't even an option when reserving through booking.com. We finally got a room that we thought was non-smoking, but it wasn't, so we had to go back downstairs and get it moved because the smell in the smoking room was unbearable. When we checked out the next morning, the staff person held us up a little because she needed to confirm that we paid for the room through booking.com because she didn't have a record of being paid. Because booking.com did NOT send an email with the confirmation number, it complicated things. Finally, she said that she could contact booking.com directly to confirm the payment, and didn't insist on me giving her my credit card. On booking.com, it said the hotel provided free continental breakfast, but there was none when we checked out around 7:30am. The hotel was not in very good shape. The room, while clean, was small, and there was a water leak either from the toilet or the shower.

Maid service was not given each day, had to request. Once requested, sheets were not changed and floors were not cleaned. No toiletries at all, just a tiny bar of soap. Door key deactivated every time you left the building and they kept saying it was because we had it next to our cellphone, which was definitely NOT the case. Vending machines were out of order and when asked if there was any water available, I was told to drink from the bathroom sink. Complimentary breakfast was no longer given. And when it was time to check out (which was 11) the Maid and then the front desk clerk banged on the door at 11 and then every 10 minutes until we checked out at 11:30. When asked if a discount could be given for all these inconveniences, was told they already give a big discount already, and after several requests was finally given $10 off. This hotel was one of the cheaper hotels that could be booked for my trip and now I know why. I will definitely not be returning.

We arrived later and we were unsure if we were at the correct location. The parking lot was dark and it was poorly lit. We entered and were checked in. We went to the room and it looked like the photos. I neglected to look closely at the photos online so my disappointment could have been avoided if I had. The floors are carpeted with older green carpet there is a mirror the length of the room and as big as the wall at the head of the bed.. Everything is outdated and honestly I was uncomfortable and didn't want to stay. We turned on the heater and had to turn it off because the room filled with a nasty smell , like a burnt smell. I honestly felt like I was in a small prison cell and I slept in my clothes in the bed. To be fair I should have looked at the photos and read the reviews from the actual hotel, not the reviews from Expedia, because they do not match

It's out in the middle of nowhere. The parking lot is very poorly lit. The hallways and rooms smell like smoke. We returned to the holel about 12 midnight on Saturday August 23rd, 2025, we used the stairway to get to our room on the second floor as there is no elevator. I let my wife enter first to get her safely in the hotel and we could smell smoke, there was a black guy in the stairwell smoking crack. We were very lucky nothing happened to us, drug parifinalia all over the stairs and full of crack smoke. VERY DANGEROUS! Stay away!

One thing I was swiftly reminded of is that you can never smell a place thru the pictures. We walked in thru a side door, the entire place smelled of old smoke and completely musty. There were non smoking signs above wall mounted ash trays which didn’t make sense to me whatsoever lol. We also received a room the size of a lunch box. Husband and I wanted to do a little staycation and decided to rent a cheap hotel in the area we wanted to do dinner/drinks. Checked in first, then went for dinner - at said dinner, we both agreed that we’d rather eat the $150, drop another $50 on an uber and just stay at home bc yuck. We thought it would be convenient, turns out it was just a gross run down place with minimal amenities. Anyone traveling thru is recommended to keep going past this one!

Building is old and run-down, and while the room itself was clean, generally speaking, the property is run-down and lacking with any amenities and overall maintenance (broken-up entry walk and cigarette butts about front entrance). Had to have desk person connect to wifi and with no charging station in the room. Also, room had no work station, with the only chair too low for the countertop. And with very few guests (the parking lot was largely empty) at the time of my visit and with the surrounding area questionable, I felt very uneasy as to the safety of my vehicle. Despite the low room rate and convenient location, I would not consider staying here in the future.

The hotel itself looks extremely cozy from the outside. Upon entering i was greeted kindly and there is always someone working at the front desk. Got my room keys and headed towards my room. (Note here i was made aware that the continental breakfast is no longer served). Got into my room to a very outdated- yet cozyish room. The ceiling was popcorn ceiling, walls a wallpaper that was peeling, and the restroom light kept unscrewing itself. Water pressure was good and shower itself was clean. Area around the toilet had a yellow stain (ew). Woke up the next morning to be informed through a piece of paper that they "cannot provide room service for more than 1 night stays". Meaning our hotel room wouldnt be clean for our entire 5 night stay. Not even our garbage taken care of. We had to go to the front desk to ask for items which were given no quarrels. Overall i would give this only 2/5 due to many factors. It is comfortable but i wouldnt recommend it for long stays. Keep it to 1 night. Next time will definitely not be staying here.

CenterWay is a tough place to review because it is very bare bones. This was our second (and last) stay there. The place is very clean and it is the least expensive place around. The beds are comfortable. The rooms are so small that with 2 of us in the room only one of us at a time can move around. The room is 90% bed. The TV is basic and hung high. There are no amenities in the bathroom, the Internet was down, the continental breakfast has been discontinued (and there are no easy breakfast places nearby). The hotel is best if you need a clean, cheap place to sleep for 1 night. Staff is more clerical, than hospitality oriented.

We booked three rooms with the belief that there is a snack bar/deli, but there are only a vending machine & tea/coffee with microwave, paper plates/ bowls and cutlery. We had food with us and there being limited place to sit, the gentleman at the desk kindly helped us find a place where we could all heat food and eat dinner together. There is no elevator to the upper rooms. Walls were rather thin & I asked for another room due to noise, but was told that it was full being the 4th of July, & I could complain to the manager the next morning. Overall clean and not unpleasant, and seemed well-staffed. Suitable for short stay on a budget.

Advertised online for included breakfast which was what ultimately made me book the place. Even inside your room in the itinerary it tells you when and where breakfast is located. I got up and asked the front desk where it was and there told me there wasn’t any and this little sign with marker on it saying breakfast discontinued is your only way of knowing (after booking and paying of course). Had I known this I would’ve went somewhere else. I also booked online and reserved it at $150 a night/all fees included and then when it was time to check in (we arrived at 10:30 at night with no other choice) it was actually $160. There were also people refusing to stay when I arrived because of “bed bug issues” but I can say I didnt see any in my room. Overall dissatisfied

The room was clean, bed was comfy. The only complaint was this hotel needs to be updated, not that it was bad it's very vintage. If you like modern look elsewhere. Overall not bad in a pinch. Totally not worth ----.

Room was clean. Girl that checked me in was sweet and helpful. Continental breakfast was decent. My only complaint was not being able to use the Wi-Fiin the room. Worked in the lobby and hallway but disconnected when you entered the room.

Wifi was pathetic and never connects. Vending machines are only available at the reception.
