City Express Junior by Marriott Tijuana Otay

Easy for a early morning flight. Lots of restaurants / food places close by. Morning free shuttle to airport. Free shuttle is advertised BUT it is very misleading and ONLY available TO the airport, not from it, but nobody told me that despite several messages to the hotel to try and organise. All very stressful. Fare is $500 to hotel. Cleanliness - everything looks clean, but I dropped by key card and hand to retrieve it from underneath a piece of furniture, it was so filthy I was uncomfortable putting my hand there.

Front desk service is always solid. Parking is convenient There was a leak in the restroom, above the shower. The pillows were too soft. The third pillow was missing. The breakfast needs more meats e.g. bacon, ham etc and more choices on fresh fruit. Maybe fresh sweet breads from local bakeries.

It was a well and good place to stay there is a little shopping center and varios little resturants around. location was well supervise by police from what i saw during my days staying there. i recommed this hotel satff and really clean from my experince. also they have breakfast in the morning.

Tiny tiny rooms and no shuttle service from airport. Called to get a pick up and waited over an hour. When I got to the hotel they said shuttles stopped running. Taxi cost $35 from airport for 5 mile drive. Very disappointing.

The room beds were not the size we paid for. We paid extra for a queen size and stayed in to twin beds.

Location Beds

I reserved a room with one queen bed for one person for one night. I am very pleased with the room, although it is small - most of the space taken up by the bed. It is simple, but completely adequate, very clean and attractive. There is a compact bathroom with nice tile and a good shower for one person. Beside the bathroom a small built-in table with shelves above is perfect for a carry-on. A shallow but wide counter on the other side of the bed works well for a laptop and offers charging options. Above the end of the counter is a rod for hanging up a few clothes. The lighting, electrical outlets, air conditioner and wall-mounted tv all contribute to a room that functions very well. It's quiet, relaxing, simple - exactly what I wanted. The City Express shuttle is available only for short rides leaving from the hotel. It will not pick you up - say at the airport - and bring you to the hotel. A cab from the airport to the hotel cost me $500 pesos before a tip. The shuttle leaves from the hotel once an hour but needs to be arranged in advance. I would certainly stay here again.

Close to airport! Bed comfortable. Wake up call. Staff great. Close to food. No shuttle from the airport as advertised even though 2 shuttles were in the parking lot when we arrived. Only 1 small bottle of water in the room. Room was small. Shuttle to the airport didn’t start until 6 am even though first flights were at 7 am. We needed to be at the airport by 5 am.

The hotel is just okay. Bathrooms in the lobby need attention. They smell and not very clean. Also, the breakfast is very limited.

Everything in the room was great. The only thing in the morning way before check out time the cleaning lady goes room by room knocking and yelling if anybody is in the room. She woke us up. I told her we were trying to sleep to please be quiet.

the only reason I'm knocking down a point is due to a preference of mine...the bed were too firm for my liking it felt very hard.. Otherwise my stay was pleasant. I've stayed at other City express locations and have never had an issue...Would stay again.

The same wall was shared with 2 Elevators which constantly transferred noise from the chime ( bell) from opening-closing doors and from the metal floor rack noise created by rolling wheeled luggage /carriers 3. Other windowed wall allowed lots of noise in because- it is adjacent to the loading dock used early in the morning, containing a loud siren/flashing lite going off @ night.

At 7 am cleaning crew knock my door to check if I was there or if i was going to check out !!! I couldn’t go back to sleep check out was at 1pm don’t get reason of this early process !!!

I’m traveling with 4 other couples. I was charged for all the rooms at 45 minutes after check in. We had not arrived. I tried to phone the hotel but the phone rang and rang with no option to leave a message. They would not reverse the charges and charge the others individually even though their names were listed at time of booking. When we asked for ice the two employees at the front desk laughed. I asked for the managers name and phone number and was told that they can’t give the number out.

I was fully satisfied with the overall service.

Clean place, has everything I could need for the 7 hours I was there. I felt safe.
