Reviews
The hotel is praised for its excellent location, friendly staff, and cleanliness. However, many guests suggest that the rooms are outdated and in need of an upgrade, with some also mentioning issues with noise and minor flaws in the rooms.

The location of this motel is fantastic. Very close to the beautiful promenade and to the restaurant and boutiques quarters. There’s a grocery store right across the street. The pool is nice although not very big and with little shade. But in the end it is a motel and not a hotel and is is due for some TLC. The nightly fee was high.
- 3/5
Check in was very easy and parking is super convenient on the premises. The hotel is outdated and the rooms are very basic close to à 2 star quality. Shower had poorly repaired fixtures, hole in th ceiling, paper thin walls, blinds that didn’t work. Not what you’d expect for $400+ per night. Pool was lovely and lounge beds were pretty cool. Rooms need to be updated or bring down the price considerably. I can’t see visiting again at à price higher than $125 night.
- 4/5
The Lodge at Tiburon is in a great location, walking distance to the village and Tiburon is a lovely seaside village. The Lodge is a little weary. The pictures make it look a bit more upscale but than it is. That being said, the room was clean and the beds were very comfortable. The TV’s are not smart TVs so streaming is not available. The food at the Tiburon Tavern was very good.
- 3/5
Good location near the water with free parking and a couple of car chargers. Older facility, pool and hot tub and not everything is in working order. Only one road in and out with lots of traffic, especially during school pick-up times. Nice staff at hotel and restaurant.
- 5/5
Getting more expensive each time we stay.
- 5/5
Such a unique, lovely area and great location for the accommodation.
- 5/5
Right in the center of Tiburon this is a great basic spot near all the restaurants and close to the water.
- 3/5
Staff was very friendly and helpful but unfortunately the hotel is worn down and kind of dirty. We found a condom wrapper in our room.
- 3/5
The location is excellent and the room was spacious. It's dated but perfectly OK. The bed is comfortable and the shower is hotel. Good towels and sheets. The smoke alarm battery went off in my room at 4am on my first night. I went to check out the following morning early and there was no one at the desk. I left a note about the battery and saw a huge rat by the breakfast cereals!

This hotel has not been properly maintained in years. The rooms were outdated and smelled. The photos online are not what the hotel is like in person. It was totally disappointing.
- 3/5
We had requested a patio room where we could back up our vehicle close to the room because of mobility issues. booking.com confirmed to us that the property would honor that request. When we checked in, we were told that the only rooms available were on the second floor, quite a distance from a functional elevator and a long way from parking. The room was nice, but access was difficult.S

The best thing about the Lodge at Tiburon is the location. It’s so convenient to the waterfront and all the restaurants and shops located there. The room was adequate but nothing special. The AC worked well, and it was nice to have a small fridge. The downsides were that the blackout blinds were worn and didn’t block out all the light. The garbage wasn’t emptied every day, bathroom amenities were not replaced after the second day, nor were the tea bags I used in the morning. Finally, I got stuck in the elevator on the last day. Luckily the elevator let me go back to the second floor so I got out there and carried my suitcases down the stairs. No real concern or apology from front desk when I reported this incident. Overall, I enjoyed my stay, but the hotel is definitely aging and could use some tlc.

Good location I alerted the hotel ahead of check-in that I'd need to change my booking to one fewer night. Then at check-in, I asked for confirmation on my earlier request. "We'll confirm it!" I didn't hear another thing over the next 24 hours. At check out, I asked to confirm my two earlier requests. "We'll take care of it." She even scribbled something down, which I assumed was progress. Nearly a week later, nothing.
- 5/5
Great location - but the rooms are dated and breakfast is not available on property. However, there are nice options within walking distance.
- 4/5
Location is ideal visiting town on foot or in car.
- 3/5
The hotel and room are a bit dated and rundown. The staffs are exceptional though. Very friendly and helpful.
- 3.5/5
Smelled a little moldy - that is probably because of its locale by the water - but it did concern me.
- 2/5
We really liked the location as Tiburon is a beautiful area and everything was within walking distance. We jumped the ferry the next day to Angel Island and enjoyed walking around that wonderful piece of California's history. The cost of the hotel was over $300, given it was a Sunday night on a holiday weekend, but that is no excuse for charging such a high rate when the quality of the rooms don't reflect it. Although the outer appearance of the hotel was nice, the room was dated, smelled poorly, was loud and had a cheap hotel vibe. The most disappointing aspect was the gym; it was a poorly lit corner room with three pieces of equipment, no free weights, bench, mats or much at all. We chose to spend our day being active outside but when a gym is advertised make it a place that you'd actually want or expect your guests to exercise.
- 5/5
everything very good.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
- 2.5/5
I booked two rooms, but the hotel only had one reservation. Josh, I believe, found another room for us, but not the type I had reserved, and honored the booking price. Even gave us a bottle of wine for the inconvenience at checkin. Our sons were satisfied with their room, though it ended up being one king bed vs two queens. That was all that was available. It's a short walk down to Tiburon main street and the restaurants. The room that my husband and I got was on the 3rd floor and faced west. "The lodge room" due to the high ceiling. The A/C was useless and the room was quite hot all evening and night. We sleep in cool rooms so did not enjoy that. The hotel is kind of old and dated regarding hallways etc. I don't think it was worth the price.
- 1.5/5
The rooms are very old and look like they’re falling apart.

- 5/5
The property was beautiful, calm and quiet.
- 1.5/5
I could hear the people upstairs just walking around their room. They weren’t being loud but the property was just old and not well insulated.
- 2/5
The hotel has REALLY gone down hill. There is no way they should be charging a resort fee. No help with parking. No ice machine. No towels by pool. It feels like a motel. Went to take a shower and the water smelled like fish. I called and asked to speak to a manager. They told me that the manager said they would call me the next day. Was afraid to even brush my teeth. The AC units are dinosaurs. Every time they kicked on I was woken up. Super, super loud. Sad. Love the town and this hotel use to be our go to. But, save your money.

Easy parking, helpful staff, comfortable room, excellent location. Larger desk for work. More outlets on each side of bed.

We had an excellent experience upon arrival and during our short stay. This is an excellent location and walkable to everything fun! Thanks for your generous hospitality as well.
- 5/5
Excellent place to stay. Very clean and comfortable. Can’t wait to stay again.
- 4/5
No breakfast though listing said breakfast available and cost $17-$25 extra....
- 3/5
Clean, awesome staff, amazing location, just more like a motel than hotel despite the price.
- 3/5
We stayed only one night. The bed was very uncomfortable and only offered feather pillows that were like cement bags. Empty drink glasses and food debris in the lounge area around the front was left there for hours. The hot tub needed attention. Everything was smaller and not as nice as the pictures make it out to be. There was no staff in sight to ensure the place was kept neat and clean.
- 2/5
I agree with the other reviews that this hotel needs to be updated. Poor lighting, not updated at all. Air conditioner ran all night was very annoying. Several weddings partying in parking lot until 1 AM TRY TO SEE IF THEY COULD ACCOMMODATE ME
- 2/5
Really loud and rude guests yelling profanity at my mother after she asked them to be quiet at 1am. Great location, not worth the price. Will never go back.

The location of this hotel is very good. Can walk to everything. Pillows were good. The restaurant was very expensive- even for breakfast. The hotel was also very noisy. The rooms are run down a bit. Could use a facelift. Bed was hard as a rock.

The restaurant was great. New caret in the room was nice. The bed was not comfortable. It felt like springs were popping up. Ice machine was too far away since ours was broken. The ledge in the shower looked very dirty that holds your shampoo and soap. Walking to our room in the third floor 307 the walkway seems a little slanted which does not seem up to code.

It’s close to where we were going. The bar is nice. Your front desk staff is inattentive and sometimes rude. Your coffee bar is dangerous! I put my cup down to put sugar in it and it fell over and burned my hand. The surface is uneven. You need that on a level table. Anyway, when it fell over I yelped and the woman at the front desk didn’t even react. There was nothing to mop the coffee up with and I literally had to walk over and ask her for some paper towels. Until then she didn’t acknowledge that I was even there. My two siblings and I were in town for a family birthday. My brother says there was black mold on the ceiling of 110 and my sister mentioned the state of the bathroom fixtures and molding was in poor repair in her room, 210 I think. It was also very loud at night due to some conference attendees hanging around and being loud out by the pool. The cost of the rooms, nearly $1000 for three nights, is exorbitant. I don’t think I’ll be back for that reason.

The location is very convenient to Tiburon downtown area An older lodge that was probably nice in its day, but now suffers from poor maintenance, lack of upgrades and amenities. Wildly overpriced for what you get. Issues: poorly lit outside entrance door to room; large area of mold over the tub, other spots of mold in the corners; our "deluxe king" room looked directly on the lobby exit, with large curtains that blow wildly in the wind as the only privacy for the small patio; no valet available to help with bags; maid service incomplete (didn't properly stock items that we had to get from front desk); insufficient receptacles for bedside; fairly hard "old school" mattress and pillows; constant buffering on TV channels due to poor cable/satellite made some movies unwatchable. All of this at $360 per night. Very poor experience

The bar staff was excellent and the food was good. The best thing was the proximity to local attractions. We were able to walk to the main area with ease and the property is pet friendly.
- 3/5
The property was OK overall, but our first room had mold in the hvac unit, which was not good- so they moved us and it was OK.

Ok hotel…town is lovely
- 5/5
All great!

Great location and friendly staff
- 4/5
The staff was friendly, the food was good and the grounds were beautiful. I also really liked the location. The hotel is a short walk to a beautiful park along the bay and it was a lovely place to walk. The rooms could use some updating. My room was clean but had a musty smell. The bed was comfortable and the complimentary waters were nice to have.

While the overall experience was a good one as far as location, accessibility to main street Tiburon, and condition of hotel, we were very disappointed to find out that there was a very loud noise (like a generator) that kept us up most of the night. We unfortunately didn’t notice until we returned later in the evening from an event - otherwise would have requested to move rooms. Would stay here again if they could assure a quieter room.
- 3/5
room was clean and beds were comfortable. Air conditioner (or something nearby) was extremely noisy and prevented a sound sleeping environment. Bring earplugs. Room and property are a little older and not quite as nice as the pictures online. Property is in a great area however, with restaurants and shops nearby. Staff was very nice.
- 4/5
Great location and comfortable bed but pillows can be improved. Room is a nice size and clean.
- 5/5
Easy parking and a great ground-floor room with a patio. Conveniently located near the pool, garden, front desk, and restaurant. We will definitely stay here again.
- 4/5
Personnel was friendly and helpful. Facility could use a little maintenance. Used the pool and the hot tub, which was nice.
- 3/5
It’s a great location but very old and outdated hotel that haven’t seen any updates for a few decades. There is zero noice insulation so you can hear any step the neighbors take during the night. The A/C units are very loud even when the doors/windows are closed. They don’t offer a breakfast.
- 3/5
The area where this hotel is at is top notch, but it’s an old town so are the structures., this hotel just needs a face lift and some TLC to bring it back up. As of right now in my opinion for the money it is not there. That is my humble opinion.

This is a great property in a beautiful location. The rooms were simple, but clean. We stayed in a dog friendly room and I was impressed at the cleanliness and lack of pet odor. The front desk staff was not very friendly.

Great staff, wonderful restaurant, prime location in Downtown Tiburon
- 2/5
The location was great. The place is terribly run down. From the pictures on their website, you have an expectation that it's current - it is not. I wouldn't even take a shower - it just felt dirty.
- 3/5
Great location. Room was bare, basic.
- 4/5
Location is great. Enjoyed the heated pool and the hot tub. Heating system was too loud, walls are paper thin, there was no decent comforter.
- 5/5
Clean room. Good location
- 5/5
Excellent front desk staff
- 3/5
The nice pictures of the property, along with the name, led me to think it is a pretty upscale place. The rooms don’t look like they have even been renovated or “dressed up.” I am used to showers with shampoo/conditioner/body way dispensers and this place had little squeeze tubes of them. The nice thing was the Angel Soft toilet paper!
- 3.5/5
This hotel is renovated old motel, many of the fixtures and design need to updated. We were assigned the worst room next to the road, odd layout with window that viewed into the bathroom next to the parking and road.
- 2/5
Definitely more of a motel.
- 4/5
Room was basic & lacked atmosphere, but was clean. The hotel exterior needs renovation. Parking is easy and free. Really liked the location of this hotel. The harbor, restaurants and entertainment were all within walking distance.
- 3/5
Plenty of parking. Clean room. Low pressure water. Need to buy new pillows. Close to the dock and shops.
- 4/5
This property was next to the water and a bunch of restaurants.
- 5/5
Favorite part about this hotel is the location! Tiburon seemed to be a very calm and safe area. Walking distance to the ferry into the city, or 30ish min drive over the golden gate.
- 3/5
The location is great and the staff was very friendly! Our room was not very clean. There were hairs on our bathroom counter and stains on the towels.
- 5/5
Affordability Cleanliness Location
- 2.5/5
We have stayed here many times over the years, and love the area. Staff are amazing and accommodated a room change with no issues. Seems like there needs to be some upkeep/maintenance done. Pretty run down overall. The handle on our bathroom faucet would fall off when touched. The mirror around the sink was peeling/falling apart. All but three lounge chairs at the pool were ripped. Bathroom door wouldn’t close. Used to be a great property, just needs some tlc.
- 5/5
Quiet and tasteful decor. Friendly and helpful staff.
- 4/5
Check in attendant was not welcoming. Fine hotel, but location is amazing.
- 5/5

- 4/5
Room was clean and parking very accessible, very nice and quiet
- 4/5
Good location ,, cllean .. room had an odor not sure ? ..staff was nice ,, basic
- 3/5
Have always enjoyed the Lodge at Tiburon, but learned during this visit that it is under new ownership and observed many areas in need of maintenance and repair. Bathroom ceramic tile/grout cracked and damaged, caulking at bath counter missing/damaged, dryrot at balconies and around property, landscaping unkept and lawn at pool area in need of mowing, fireplace in main lobby not working so staff put a mini TV inside the fireplace which looks cheap and tacky, etc
- 4/5
The overall experience was great. Tiburon is lovely and this is a great location. The hotel rooms are clean and updated. The outdoor areas are very nice as well. Ice machine was broken for our whole stay. The shared outdoor areas need to be regularly tidied up. Otherwise everything was great. We will come again.
- 3/5
I feel like this hotel needs a face lift! Hotel rooms are dated and the the check in staff was not that accommodating.
- 5/5
Great location. Walk to restaurants and ferry terminal. Lovely room and friendly staff.
- 4/5
Location ambiance Rooms clean but a bit dated
- 2/5
Stay on second floor and st about 2-3 AM, the people upstairs making so much floor noise (squeaking like some walked back and forth for nearly 30 minutes before they stopped. I was not able to sleep during that time. Floor makes noise in our room too.
- 5/5
Great location. Very quiet and comfortable
- 5/5
Josh at the Front Desk is fantastic and is a good reason that I will returns to the Lodge at Tiburon! Wonderful cabanas and lounge chairs with pillows at the pool area and parking is included....great stay!
- 5/5
I would have loved a real bar.
- 4/5
The common areas are clean. Rooms were clean, slightly dated. The staff was fantastic. We were on the second floor and had a heavy footed person above us. They were up at 3-7am doing what only sounded like loud pacing and we heard every foot step. That was the only downside. Outside of this we really enjoyed our stay.
- 4/5
Housekeeping were very good. Would be nice to have a breakfast option on weekdays.
- 5/5
Clean room, great employees and service
- 4/5
The pool and hot tub are heated, clean and very nice. The room was bare-boned, with no microwave and the cheapest coffee maker possible. There was peeling paint in the shower area, and the place needs updating for the price I paid. It looks like they just keep painting over old walls without updating. It was pretty quiet there, which was very nice, and the location is very good and feels safe. There were zero instructions in the room for internet, and zero given when registering for the lodge itself, so I had to call the front desk a few times to figure out where everything was located, what the parking situation was, and what the internet password was. The Tavern at the Tiburon Lodge is not affiliated with Tiburon Lodge itself, so you cannot charge your meals to your room, but that is not made clear by the front desk. The Staff were all friendly and responsive, just not trained to provide the information you need as a guest when registering. Overall I liked the location, but might look elsewhere for a rate more in line with the overall quality of the place itself.

A pleasant enough property but way overpriced!

Free parking is awesome. The location is excellent. The pool and hot tub are lovely. Front desk staff made the lobby feel like a cheap motel by watching videos without headphones.

- 4/5
It was a lovely property but heads up that ... photos look a lot better/more modern than in person. lol Pool and hot tub were clean and a great way to spend some time.
- 5/5
The best thing was a very warm pool in addition to the hot top. That was amazing
- 3/5
The staff was nice and accommodating but the first room smelled awful. The second was much better!
- 5/5
Always a pleasant stay.
- 3/5
Not the best not the worst. A little rundown with a slight odor that I can’t figure out what it was or where it came from. Good location and easily accessible but needs some improvement.
- 4/5
Cute hotel, very nice stuff!!
- 1.5/5
The external amenities were nice: pool, fire pit, lounge areas. The location is great. The staff were friendly and professional. The rooms (I tried 2 different ones) seem very dated. The carpets smell musty. This used to be a really nice place to stay but I'd barely give the rooms 3 stars right now.

Staff friendly and amazing location
- 5/5
We have stayed here several times and it never disappoints. The location is perfect for walking into town or jumping on the ferry to San Francisco. It’s always quiet and comfortable. The only slight complaint with this recent trip is that the bed was not very comfortable, but we still had a good night sleep. This is our go to, quick, getaway for the night.
- 5/5
The staff was great. We were allowed early check in and were pleasantly surprised about the cleanliness of the room for being such an old building. Will definitely be staying here again
- 3/5
Not super impressed. Rooms need updating. The parking lot noise was loud where we were staying…Saw one staff member the whole time we were there…puke in the way and both toilets in the men’s bathroom in the lobby were clogged it was pretty gross. My husband never says anything and was grossed out!

Lodge is in a great location. Walking distance to restaurants and groceries. Clean rooms and nice grounds. I would bring your own pillow though. Their pillows are hard and heavy. Not fluffy or soft at all.

Great location, good hotel and amenities. Courteous staff.
- 4/5
Room was comfortable and spacious. Spa felt wonderful & staff was very kind
- 3/5
The bar service was nice. The selection of food and wine was sub par. Like going to Costco buying the cheap wine and charging for premium.
- 2/5
Rooms were clean. Bathroom needs a serious model. Views from rooms with a balcony are absolutely NOT worth the cost (you will be seeing mostly ugly hotel rooftop). Stuff was accommodating. Long story short, if you need a place to crush for a night or two, it's fine. However, I would absolutely not stay here for any special occasion. It's a 2-star hotel.
- 5/5
Great location. Clean
- 4/5
Awesome chill Lodge feeling -clean and comfortable.I've been here several times because of the hot tub, pool, and outside lounge. The beds are very comfortable.Sure, it could use some more wall outlets but the overall rating is very good. I come for the Location too -AMAZING!!! Friendly and helpful staff. Back soon.

Great location but the rooms and common areas are beginnng to look old. The bathroom in our room needed updating. Overall the he room was clean.
- 4/5
Love the location of the property
- 3/5
We were in the second flr and could here the rm above all night long as they walked and the floors creaked.
- 4/5
Clean room nice view front desk was very nice.
- 4/5
Great location. Tiburon is a quaint small town on the bay with ferries to SF. Hotel bar staff very friendly. This was our second stay at this property.
- 5/5
Clean rooms. Huge space. Very kind people
- 3/5
Missed a shower cap. Would have liked a second bar of soap for shower. Nice place! Thx
- 4/5
Could definitely easy to use wall outlets in the lobby for computer use.
- 4/5
Love the Tiburon Lodge for an easy getaway. Friendly staff, beautiful area with lots of walkable options.
- 5/5
Great location, beautiful town
- 5/5
The staff were awesome. They made sure are stay and experience was amazing. The location is walking distance from everything and would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone. Thank you for an awesome time!
- 4/5
The front desk worker was extremely friendly and accommodating!
- 3/5
Somewhat tired looking. Over priced
- 5/5
Clean room love the location very comfortable beds.
- 2/5
Front desk staff were great. The property could use a refresh from head to toes.
- 4/5
Nice place but it’s time for a refresh at these rates
- 5/5
Everything looks good, we loved the view from our room.
- 3/5
The lodge needs significant upgrade. It looked like an old Motel 6. Staff was disinterested. Gave vague directions to the room. Had to hunt for it. Room lacked adequate soap no shower cap. Breakfast advertised but Tavern doesn’t serve breakfast on week days. Would not stay there again
- 5/5
Thanks for taking care of us.
- 5/5
We enjoyed our stay
- 5/5
Very nice, in a great location.
- 2/5
The place, particularly for the price, needs to be refurbished. It is well run and clean but it’s like an old, out of date Hampton Inn in a prime location
- 2/5
Night staff not very welcoming. No breakfast and the restaurant did not open until after breakfast hours. Cleaning staff came in even though the Do Not Disturb sign was displayed. One plus was safe & free parking.
- 5/5
Very nice.
- 5/5
The hotel staff was friendly and allowed us to check in early which was a bonus. The room was clean with a nice rooftop area right outside the room. We attended a wedding within walking distance. The location is very walkable to Tiburon downtown

I would like to express some concerns regarding my stay from October 11th to October 12th, 2025. My girlfriend, Megan, and I checked into unit 102 without any problems; however, we found it unusual that the front desk did not provide us with a property map or a brief overview of the location of various areas. That night, as we prepared for bed, Megan discovered blood stains on the sheets, which was quite disturbing. Since it was too late to contact the front desk, we decided to address it the following morning. The next morning at 6:00 AM, I called the front desk, and they informed me that someone would be available at 7:00 AM. Instead of waiting for a callback, I chose to walk to the front desk. The same representative, Josh, who checked us in was there, and I informed him about the blood stains on the sheets. He requested that I take pictures and mentioned that he could offer a $200 discount due to the inconvenience. Later that day, I called the front desk again to request a late checkout. I spoke with Josh, who indicated that he needed to discuss something with me at my convenience. Megan and I went to the front desk to find out what Josh wanted to talk about. He stated that he could only provide a $100 discount because we had received multiple noise complaints. He claimed that someone had spoken directly to me about keeping the noise down, which I denied. I also questioned Josh's honesty regarding the noise complaints, as it

Very friendly & service oriented

The one thing that I think would be needed are safety bars in the bathroom. We are “seniors” and are very concerned with falling.
- 4/5
We felt the room could have been cleaner. Our bathroom floor was very sticky. Also, the bathroom door was dirty. Also, the entire bathroom really needs an update.
- 5/5
Fun happy hour and nice pool area as well as surrounding area.
- 5/5
Great location
- 5/5
close to dining options
- 5/5
they welcomed my pup
- 5/5
The hotel is a little older, but rooms are spacious and clean. The outdoor space was extra nice with a heated pool and hot tub, firepit, and lots of lounge chairs. I was disappointed there wasn’t a microwave in the room. There was one in the lobby.
- 4/5
Comfortable, clean room in a great location in Tiburon.
- 4/5
Good
- 5/5
From the road, the front of the Lodge is such a pretty building. The lobby and surrounding areas including indoor and outdoor seating and fireplaces, are so appealing to the eye to just sit and take in all the scenery. The pool area is secluded and very relaxing. The ambience if the Lodge means you can switch off and relax. Perfect location
- 4/5
Excellent convenience and access. Staff was amazing and responsive. Property is repained older execution, dont look too close. Was perfect for 2 nights for a wedding.
- 5/5
Generous staff and pleasant atmosphere.
- 5/5
Great stay in Tiburon! Hotel is mildly dated, but very comfortable. We love it!
- 3/5
Rooms are very basic and you can hear everything
- 4/5
The bed wasn't the most comfortable and the people who stayed next door were very loud all night long.
- 4/5
Great location. Clean room, comfortable bed, quiet. Having weekdays breakfast would be great.
- 2/5
The room needed some remodeling to match the $450 per night price tag. The location is beautiful, but not worth the money.
- 4/5
Overall a great stay.
- 5/5
This place is thee BEST! Best staff! Best location for my Bay Area ventures! Best spacious rooms! Best parking! It's truly all you need & Marin's best kept secret! Thank you The Lodge for a beautiful, safe landing spot to begin & end my journeys!!!
- 4/5
Our room was spotlessly clean and our bed beautifully made. All staff were personable.
- 4/5
The lodge is a bit older, but the room was huge and very comfortable.
- 5/5
Tiburon is a fantastic place to stay
- 5/5
Excellent
- 4/5
The Lodge is nice, but overrated and overpriced. At one point, I had a question. I called the operator, housekeeping, and the front desk, and none were available to answer the phone. The mini-refrigerator in the room and the A/C were very noisy. At night, we had to unplug the fridge (and throw away the food inside) and turn off the A/C. For 4 days, our view from the window faced a truck filled with plant debris. Also, we had a family with a child next door that woke us up several times crying. On the up side, it was clean and well-located for food options.
- 5/5
very nice for a lodge. very welcoming entrance, many areas to hang outside, fireplaces, and very nice to walk from room straight to the meeting rooms.
- 5/5
Main lobby, property and amenities are very well
- 5/5
Staff is very helpful and polite. I highly recommend The Lodge to travelers visiting this area.
- 3/5
The rooms definitely need to be updated. The outside of the hotel and restaurant are nice, but the rooms are very dated and cheap looking almost like a motel six.
- 2/5
Old hotel needs serious upgrades. Not worth the money.
- 5/5
We loved the place and will come back. In an excellent area. Room was nice, clean and bright. Staff very friendly.
- 4/5
We loved the place! Comfortable, helpful staff (letting us check in early and check out a bit late was much appreciated), great pool, hot tub (though too hot for me, you might want to check temp, maybe that’s why no one was in it), outdoor spaces to gather, quiet, walk to shopping, restaurants, the ferry, dog friendly. Wish I could have brought mine. Wonderful! Quibbles: The cleaning person didn’t replenish our creamer; there were stains on at least one towel; and the pillows were far too high and hard for me. I asked for a different one, you didn’t have any. I ended up folding a towel up and putting it in the pillowcase. Many people want to sleep flatter. Maybe gave options on hand? I’d say a book of ideas on to see and do in the rooms would be good. My sister-in-law did forward a link I believe you emailed with this kind of info but I didn’t get it, unless I missed it. I do wish the staff could have told me more about wine country. Highly recommended Napa, wish we’d gone to Sonoma, but that’s mainly on me. But pros and cons would have been helpful. “Napa has everything” with no other info not great. Too crowded and touristy for me. Plus a heads up about need for reservations would have helped. Still, my bad. Small things. The Lodge at Tiberon was great and I’d recommend you highly to anyone coming to the area, even if they’re mainly spending a fair amount of time in San Francisco. The ferry makes it so easy! What a gorgeous setting! (Love architecture see my title lol)
- 1/5
Not at all as advertised. More like a refurbishe
- 5/5
Bed was comfy and the AC blew cold. Bathroom was was a little noisy, but if that’s my biggest complaint, I’d say they did a pretty damn good job. The waterfront, hippie tree, and historic church were all within walking distance.
- 4/5
Clean simple convenient place to stay
- 4/5
Very nice place and we would go back. Only complaint is that it allows pets and sometimes those pets (dogs) are noisy.
- 5/5
Staff very accomqdating and helpful.
- 4/5
Great location with views of the bay.
- 5/5
Parking was included in reasonable fees. Walked to the ferry to get to SF in 3 minutes through a lovely downtown
- 3/5
.
- 3/5
We have stayed here a few times while visiting family. We bring our dog since it is very dog friendly. Don’t stay on the first floor since it gets pretty loud at night with guests walking etc. The internet and TV has not been working intermittently as well. Nice place, close to everything but a couple of inconveniences
- 5/5
Great location to walk everywhere.
- 2/5
Sheets were dirty, property is old, run down
- 4/5
The room was spacious and the bed was comfortable. There were food options within walking distance. As a suggestion, a continental breakfast included would be nice.
- 4/5
Decent place. Beds not so comfy and outdated rooms. But great restaurant and very close to downtown
- 5/5
Great location
- 4/5
We loved the pool and cabana options as well as the fire pit
- 4/5
My room was clean'ish but the building is worn and old. Needs many repairs and a full reno. The staff was borderline OK. Not very friendly or helpful. Rather mechanical and robotic, especially the Front Desk. Would I go back? Maybe but I also would shop around first for a more friendly option. All in all is was OK but far south of great.
- 2/5
Shame. Spent over $300 a night - place is dirty and dated. Beds pretty bad as are pillows. If you are under someone every footstep is heard so loud! When we arrived, they didn’t even have the air on in the room so the rooms were hot and stuffy. Unfortunately, one of our rooms didn’t even have water and said it came with two bottles. Larry when we checked in was very accommodating and let us get a different room because the bed sucks so bad in the first room. He should’ve told us about the footsteps above our heads however we would’ve stayed on the third floor. In such a cute little town it’s just a bummer to spend that kind of money and be in a room that was that lame rest in the shower spiderweb in my bathroom with a spider in it hair on the floor just not worth it.

Comfortable room in a convenient location to plenty of shopping & dining options.

- 3/5
Just know it is not a resort and is overpriced. It needs quite a bit of tlc. Broken tile in showers, overall maintenance needed, no propane in smashed heaters, small dingy rooms, dirty outside furniture, etc.
- 5/5
Beautiful location. Great value
- 3/5
Nice area
- 5/5
Very comfortable
- 5/5
Close to everything , cozy and lovely pool and jacuzzi!
- 5/5
While this is not a luxury accommodation, it is an ideal place to stay if you want easy access to San Francisco but don't want to deal with city parking and traffic. Tiburon is charming with great restaurants to relax at after a long day in the city. It's an easy and scenic ferry ride into San Francisco. The property was pleasant and the staff very friendly. We will be back!
- 4/5
The room was clean and quiet. Though it was not fancy it included all necessities and was peaceful.
- 4/5
The young man on the front desk was wonderful.
- 3/5
4 stars
- 5/5
Great location and comfortable rooms!
- 5/5
We really enjoyed our stay!!
- 4/5
The bathroom was small/tight spacing
- 2/5
The property looks nice from the exterior but not once you walk to the rooms. The rooms are dated and could use some TLC for the price. The pillows were garbage and was like sleeping on a cot.
- 5/5
Love staying at this hotel. Great location, staff and rooms
- 4/5
This hotel was fine. No frills, nothing special, but nothing bad either. The late check in (4pm) was kind of annoying as normally at most hotels it's 3pm. We had nowhere to go as it was a holiday and everything nearby was closed, so we sat in the car and waited. The front desk person said they would call as soon as the room became available, but never got a phone call. I would also rate the front desk service about a C+. Call me old fashioned, but people that work in hospitality don't seem to understand that they should be hospitable to customers. He wasn't rude or anything, just sort of "there to do the job". The room was spacious and clean, but looked much fancier and nicer in the photos. We didn't get a chance to try the restaurant, so I cannot comment on that. The pool was filled with lots of frolicking young children, so we did not have a chance to swim as it was overflowing with kids. The room we were on was on the 1st floor, so the "balcony" was just a small space with a tiny table and 2 chairs, but if you sat on it you were basically on the same level as the main walkway. If anyone was going to the pool, they would walk by and basically see in your room (they had curtains, but it was still an odd layout). I would come here again as there are not many choices in Tiburon, but I will know what to expect. I would also try to get a room on the 2nd floor. I'm sure I paid a premium for the "balcony" and it was not private at all.
- 4/5
Great location. Property might need update soon. Friendly staff.
- 4/5
This was hotel was very convenient, right in the middle of town. It was very comfortable and we would stay here again.
- 5/5
Great location, friendly staff and room was comfortable. Couldn’t get the EV charger to work, however.
- 4/5
A beautiful property with walking distance of shops and restaurants.
- 3/5
Old motel. Adequate accommodation but not good enough to justify the price.
- 4/5
I liked the location of the hotel, and the quick check in process. The bed/tv/fridge, bathroom area were all great. The shower was the only real issue, there was a single drape that allowed lots of water to hit the bathroom floor during a quick shower. Also, we were given the corner room where there is a high traffic elevator located, meaning we had to keep our privacy and black out curtain closed during our time in the room just to have privacy. Not a huge issue, but it would be nice to not have to keep the curtain closed during our stay.

Nothing
- 5/5
Thank you!
- 4/5
Very friendly and welcoming staff. Some deferred maintenance noted on the grounds ( broken Spa, outside fountain, patio string lights on 24 hrs.). We have stayed here before more activities available. Few of the local businesses open during the day during our stay?
- 5/5
Excellent stay. Staff was top notch!!
- 5/5
Everything was great. The only downside was ordering in room pizza through TOAST. Our small pizza ran $ 36.00.
- 3/5
Rooms are tired but clean. I either had a really noisy guest above me or housekeeping makes a racquet starting at 6 am.
- 5/5
The AI text we got had incorrect information about the restaurant onsite, which was a little confusing. Other than that the room was very comfortable and quiet. Everyone we interacted with on the site was very nice.
- 4/5
Beautiful location and property! The mattress was not comfortable though and the air unit didn’t work properly.
- 5/5
Just telling you that one of the lady at the front desk during the night was not very nice and friendly. Rest was excellent.
- 5/5
Room was amazing and the front desk was awesome! Ronaldo was our greeter and our checking out contact. He help us with getting tickets for Angle Island and made us feel welcomed. We will be encouraging our son to come and visit. Thank you for a wonderful memory.
- 3/5
Probably a nice place in the 80’s. Little tired now
- 5/5
2 night for family vidut
- 5/5
Everyone was welcoming and professional. Beautiful pool, too bad it wasn’t pool weather. Even tho a Saturday nite party was in progress, our rooms were wuiet.
- 3/5
The stay was good.. The room was clean and I got a good nights sleep.
- 5/5
Could use grab bars in shower
- 4/5
Great
- 5/5
Great experience
- 1/5
The room had a mildew smell that made us cough all night long. The bed was extremely hard and uncomfortable, The shower looked like one at a campground. Small and dark stall shower with a curtain. We had paid more for a balcony room but got one on ground level with a patio facing the common walkway- very noisy. The back door backed up to the parking lot with cars going by all night. Seemed like a Motel 6. We had to check out early due to the smell making us sick
- 5/5
Perfect area to venture around the tiburon area.
- 4/5
Friendly check in and dog friendly. Nice pool area and dining onsite. Walkable to all of Tiburon and easy to get around on foot. The room is basic but comfortable. Easy access around property.
- 5/5
Restaurant somewhat confusing. Calls rang busy. Had to walk over. Saw the qr code later.
- 4/5
The lodge was close to all the restaurants and to the ferry that we took to Angel island. We enjoyed our stay and would stay here again.
- 5/5
Good
- 4/5
We had a 3 night stay here and enjoyed the walkability of the hotel, the pool and the cleanliness. The desk staff was friendly and tried to be helpful. The website is out of date - stating that there were bikes to rent but they had long discontinued that. We would have brought our bikes if we had known. The bed was fine but the pillows were very lumpy and hard. The staff was stingy about providing water for the room - only providing 2 bottles at check in - so we had to use tap water for our coffee in the morning. The hotel could provide more pamphlets and handouts about local activities. We only learned about a spectacular hike with 360 degree views from one of the local shops. The restaurant unfortunately didn’t open early enough for breakfast and closed too early for us to enjoy it.
- 5/5
My only constructive comments would be: 1. Replace the ac units in the room as they are really loud and can’t hear the tv at a normal volume; and 2. Please remove use of plastics, for example, the room has plastic cups wrapped in plastic. Overall wonderful staff with friendly staff who made a difference.
- 5/5
The staff was the best!!
- 5/5
The staff was very accommodating, especially the manager (Dean). He even called a few vineyards for me to set up a same day wine tasting. Our 1st room was a King with a pull-out bed but that was extremely uncomfortable for the 3rd person, so they changed us to 2 Queens with no problem and helped us with our luggage. Unfortunately, none of the Double Queen rooms face the river which is why we were in the King Room with the pull-out bed in the 1st place. It is very peaceful by the river to sit out on the patio and have a drink. I wish the restaurant had more food options, though.
