My reservation was lost. Despite having confirmation on my phone, and the hotel not being near capacity I was told that I would need to pay the current rate (double the rate I booked with). The bathroom had obvious damage to the shower and was out of toilet paper. The bed was uncomfortable and the supplied pillows were very flat. This experience has soured me on all Motel 6 franchises and I plan to avoid them entirely going forward.
- 5/5
The convenience and price was good. Property was clean. The hotel room was clean. The bathroom could need a bit of a paint job but overall clean.
- 4/5
Staff was very attentive. Quiet and rooms were clean.
- 2.5/5
The A/C worked well. First, we were given a room that hadn't been cleaned yet, so they gave us another room. Next, the second room was not comfortable. The sheets had someone's hair (several long black hairs) between the top sheet and the fitted sheet, the room had been painted but the furniture wasn't reinstalled correctly so there were gaps, our sheets had paint spots on it that were the same color as the wall near the headboard, the sheets also had faded yellow stains, the table was being help up by the small frig under it, but the pictures online showed a tall frig, the shower in the pictures showed a shower seat but there were none in the shower in our room, so overall, not what was shown online. Also, there were no TV channels, so you had to log in to see the local news, and in the morning, it didn't work at all. We will never stay there again.
- 5/5
big room, lots of space
- 3/5
Easy in and out access The second floor smelled like cumin really bad, staff would rather fraternize on the chairs outside the office rather than work.
- 5/5
I liked it all
- 4/5
The only rooms that have ac on is the rooms. Hall ways, lobby and snack area have no ac and its extremely hot!
- 1/5
Stay at the hotel a night before oir cruise and the place needs attention a lot
- 4.5/5
Clean and convenient to cruise port. Nothing negative
- 3.5/5
Clean rooms and clean linens Very low water pressure, taking a shower was challenging with the low pressure, there was a lot of road construction near hotel making access a little difficult, ask for a receipt at checkout and was told book it would provide this! Really weird since I paid in cash!
- 5/5
Location was convenient, modern and up to date.
- 1/5
I was put in a room that said non-smoking, and as soon as I walked in the room, it smelled like smoke all through the night. I can smell someone's smoking next door to and I can hear them talking all night. The towels were really dirty. The bed had stains the night stance were horrible telephone had mold on the buttons. Restroom has mold. Found blade next to the coffee machine. Also, when we left in the morning room, servers didn't even clean the room. All they did was put new towels up. Didn't take the trash out, didn't do the bed horrible experience
- 3/5
Poor room in a bad part of town.
- 1/5
The hotel lost power just on my floor and 3am we had no air, lights , couldn't shower in the dark. Horrible stay
- 1/5
The room was a lot smaller than what in participated and the bad you could feel all the springs in them when you walked in the room you would trip over the chair that's in there I'm very very disappointed
- 4.5/5
Courteous and helpful staff, as always. Some other guests are misguided. But what can be done about that?
- 3.5/5
Neat and calm Bed was all but springs !
- 5/5
Not your average motel 6 , Very clean . Modern style hotel . Beds are a lil thin but still comfortable enough to sleep in . Overall a good experience.
- 4/5
Courteous staff Sometimes other guests are irritating, but nothing can be done about that.
- 4/5
Yes
- 0.5/5
Worst hotel ever. Unsanitary and disgusting. Staff was terrible, end up not staying and was glad to lose my money to learn a lesson. Abandoned cars in the parking lot and homeless people hanging around. No security.
- 1/5
Roaches everywhere. We asked for non-smoking room but we still smelled cigarettes in our room. Our bed had used sheets -- you can tell the housekeeper didn't replace it and just tucked it back in cause there were food crumbs inside and on top of the sheets. We had a child with us so staying at a place like this isn't something we can compromise. We immediately left after one hour of staying. Yes, we only paid $50 for one night but we could've used that fifty bucks towards a better or more decent hotel. Lesson learned. If you plan on staying in this hotel, BE WARNED. You're better off spending your money elsewhere.
- 2/5
The room had 2 roaches, the refrigerator was leaking the microwave didn't work. We would leave just to get a hot meal because the microwave didn't work.. we had to clean our own rooms an change the pillow cases
- 2.5/5
The location was close to the cruise ports. NO CARPET in room!! Check-in was very easy. The room was not very clean. There was hair in the bathroom and floor. The TV remote worked but it's time for a new one.
- 4.5/5
Friendly and polite Other guests. Oh well what can be done about that?
- 5/5

- 4.5/5
I am familiar with it. It’s in a good location. The staff are courteous and non intrusive. Some of the other guests have been a bit squirrelly, but that is no one’s fault.
- 4/5
Service was great. Peaceful stay.
- 3.5/5
Everything was clean Close to where we needed to be
- 1/5
Reservation not honored when we arrived. Had to find a different hotel
- 5/5
Easy check in nice staff
- 1/5
We get there at 530pm and was told they had no rooms left. nothing they would do for us, and there where 2 more people that was told the same thing.
- 0.5/5
Nothing The whole place was so dirty! The floors were sticky, hair and a ring around the tub, the refrigerator and microwave were filthy, dust and cigarette ashes on top of the fridge, and stuff all over the walls. I mean, everything was filthy!!!
- 3/5
Room was sufficient for a quick stay. Nothing to brag about except the bathroom mirror.
- 0.5/5
Nothing Gave me the room key to another mans room walked in that man was so scared I had to apologize, Dirty, room smelled like dogs, Wi-Fi barely worked and roach infested
- 4.5/5

- 1/5
Didn’t even stay walked out and went to get another hotel stuff was giving room keys that you would walk inn on people that were in that room already don’t book this place
- 4/5
It was ok
- 1/5
I had a reservation for 2 rooms and when we got there, what the person said I had I was 1 room reserved. Then she proceeded to argue with me and when i showed her my reservations, she did nit went to even look at it. She then said she had no more rooms until someone else walked in wanting a room while she was arguing with me and told her she said a ‘single’ she could have. So as we proceeded to argue, I figured out she had no idea what she was talking about. Since there was 5 of us, one room was not enough, so then she decided to give us a ‘single’ her words. So a double and one single was not enough for 5 people. So we ended up with a double and 2 singles. This was after she said there were no more rooms. So as we looked at the rooms, it was one double bed that she was calling a single and in the double were 2 double beds. We eventually ended up with 2 rooms, one with 2 double beds and one with 1 double bed. When I went back to tell her she was difficult to understand, guess what, all she wanted to do was argue. This person needs to be retrained and taught to be a little nicer to customers or find a different job. And why would she say I only had a reservation for one room when I very clearly had 2 rooms and showed her your information? I will never use this site or Motel 6 again. I will tell everyone I know about this so they will make other choices.
- 5/5
room was clean, check in went very smooth
- 4/5
very good
- 5/5
Parking was well lit. Staff was friendly and helpful.
- 4/5
Staff was very attentive and the room was very clean and quiet. Will look to stay there again at some time in the future.
- 1/5
It smelled musty and like urine. The credit card reader was not working when i got there so i said i would pay in the morning. i got a call at 11:30 pm saying the cc reader was now working. the next morning i decided to not come back for the 2nd night i had reserved. the girl at front desk said i had to request my refund for the 2nd night through Expedia. i called Expedia and they said i have to get my refund from the motel. i called the motel back and she said she will get with management. no receipt was given to me from the motel. nothing. Thanks but no thanks. i will never use Expedia again and i will be posting this terrible experience on 3 social media platforms.
- 5/5
Staff was very friendly 🙂
- 3/5
No one was at the desk had to call a number to get some help remote did not work no one to talk to no iron ironing board in room have to wait for someone to come to work to get one😡
- 3/5
Many things in the room didn’t operate: light switches, T.v. Remote control, landline phone and no ‘privacy please’ door card. The smell of curry is overwhelming most times.
- 1/5
Terrible staff, funky smell, walked in to the room and left right after. Don’t recommend.
- 2/5
Do not recommend to much construction in area no working elevator and customer service rude
- 5/5
Yes. Thank you.
- 1/5
Do not recommend staying here unless you want dogs barking, a spring loaded bed, and an MIA front desk staff. They are extremely unprofessional, and wouldn’t even consider giving us a portion of our money back.
- 1/5
Hallways smelled terrible and room was really humid with a moldy smell, hairs all over bed, towels and floor, they couldn’t switch our room which we understand since it was Labor Day weekend but my family woke up feeling sick
- 5/5
Great location, very affordable and very clean.
- 4/5
Nice place for the money.
- 3/5
Very good property and location. Comfortable bed and the tiny refrigerator was helpful to have available. The bathroom this visit was not clean and at check-in, a request for an additional pillow was denied.
- 5/5
Very clean and super nice staff
- 1/5
We were assigned our 1st room and it smelt like cigarettes and was dirty. We asked for another room because we have a toddler and that room had hair all over sheets and spotted blood on one of the beds. People going in and out like it was a place to do their business and then head home to the family. We asked for a refund and staff said no because we booked through a third party. I just took it as a loss.
- 3/5
The only real misgiving was a small one, where a past patron must have broken the television remote (this seemed to happen at a different hotel property i stayed in recently as well. Staying on the 1st floor was a tiny bit loud through the night, but not awful. A room on any higher floor would probably be more tranquil.
- 3/5
The rooms were okay ,but it does need more cleaning the shower walls were dirty.
- 3/5
Room was okay… there were small bugs in the restroom and in the entry way to room… there never seems to be anyone at the front desk and when you call the front desk from your room there was a language barrier and rather than find someone who understands and can answer your question they just hangup on you.. i checked out of my room by the checkout time but my ride was running late due to having to take a friend to the hospital which i explained, so I was just sitting in the lobby out of anyone’s way and not bothering a single person and they kept asking me when my ride would be there cause “you can’t just sit in the lobby”.. I paid for 2 nights there, stayed to myself, didn’t complain about the bugs in the room or make a fuss, or the hairs that I found on the bed and yet still they weren’t willing to extend common courtesy or just being decent humans by allowing me to sit and wait for my ride without being made to feel unwelcome.. As far as guest service goes I would say NEEDS IMPROVEMENT and at best 1 star… and this Motel 6 is more expensive than most but definitely not worth the price they charge especially for being a “newer built property”
- 3/5
No shampoo!
- 4/5
Very nice overnight stay. Clean and comfortable bed. Thankful for good parking and the small refrigerator in the room.
- 3/5
Nice family who runs the hotel, very affordable and the rooms has some nice upgrades (mirror in bathroom). Kelley’s restaurant right across the street, dominos pizza next door along with a Jack n the box close. Vending machines only. I did have to have my room card constantly rekeyed which was no a huge issue however inconvenience to say the least. Hotel is pet friendly but third floor only.
- 3/5
First of all, the Desk attendant seemed in a rush to get back behind the door that she came from after I rang the bell. Second, when we got to the second floor there was a very putrid smell. I’m assuming curry that overwhelmed the hallway and caused me to be sick at my stomach. The shower was moldy. The only good thing I can say is the beds were OK and comfy the room itself was clean and the free dog stay was also what drove me to book with your hotel.
- 5/5
Nice staff and clean rooms. Comfy beds. Will stay here again
- 5/5
Great staff and clean quiet rooms. Plus there was no fee for my dog. Huge bonus!
- 3/5
It was very clean, quiet and i felt safe. the studio room was perfect size. laudnry room was clean. 7-3p desk clerk on the day I arrived was cold and gave me uncomfortable looks. The 3-7pm Desk person was GREAT. The Manager refused to fix my room key (It wouldn't work), yet the 3-7pm desk guy fixed it within seconds. THAT issue sucked.
- 4/5
😀
- 4/5
Peaceful
- 5/5
Good location area by a Restaurant where the they have good food
- 3/5
Sticky floors, dirty pillow case and stained sheet. Difficult to get fresh sheet and pillow case. Would not book again.
- 3/5
DISLIKES: The TV remote does not match the TV so you use the Channel up and down for Volume and the Volume up down for Channel up and down, and you are not told that before you enter the room. There is no Guide Button on the Remote. You must go up and down to find what you want to watch. The internet works, but is you leave the Motel, or wake up the next morning you have to sign in again. The Pillows on the bed were FLAT, and they have no extra pillows if you ask. The bead spread cigarette burns. The room was very clean, Bathroom was nice and has a fantastic mirror with 2 touch control for mirror lights and one for defogger. Parking is Great, Elevator across from Front Desk. There is a room with FREE coffee and vending machines. On one side is a Dominoes' Pizza, across is the is Kelly's Country Kitchen Diner and a Jack in the Box. Mini Fridge and Microwave worked great. The TV on the last visit had a loose cable connection and was a pain. I had a ROKU box and used a HDMI cable. It was a pain login into the internet. It took a few minutes for water to get how in the shower. This might be too long, but informative I believe. Clean and quiet property.
- 3/5
1 bed has bed bugs. Hostess just remade the bed to rebook. Had black hairs in bed 2 give us another room. Floor was sticky
- 3/5
It was clean and comfortable. The front desk lady was obviously very annoyed to have to deal with me. She left her FaceTime connection on while she frustratingly dealt with me. Worst front desk person I’ve encountered in my thousands of stays.
- 5/5
Very clean
- 4/5
Clean room
- 5/5
It was a great location for what we needed. Unfortunately there was a lot of road works at the time and it wasn't always easy to get there.

We stayed the night before our cruise. It was very convenient, just off the highway, and only about 20 miles from Galveston. The room was clean, and the bed was comfortable.
- 1/5
Room was dirty. Bed was not maid. Garbage on the floor. Room was not cleaned after previous guest.
- 3/5
Air wasn't working
- 4/5
It was worth it for the price. Everything was clean and staff even took care of something sentimental we accidentally left in the room at checkout. We were able to retrieve safely a few hours later. We will definitely book here again.
- 1/5
Place has bed bugs
- 2/5
Clean nice hotel
- 4/5
Motel 6 is more modern .
- 1/5
Paid for a queen and when i got there they only had double beds available
- 5/5
I checked it to the hotel and receive my key. The room was not clean. I went back down to the be in a room desk and told her someone must be in a room because the bed was not made up she apologize and gave another key to the Room. It was clean. The only problem was it was a joint, room and I could hear the people next-door only for a little while, but besides that instead, a great location Kelly’s restaurant in walking distance. 45 is right next to it so it’s easy to access leaving out. I will stay here again because it was clean and accessible to get back-and-forth or whatever you’re going in the area.
- 2/5
Ok stay
- 1/5
TV did not work, heater did not work, no hot water in shower. Worst place I’ve ever stayed. I’ll sleep in my truck before blowing money here again
- 4/5
Very basic hotel that was very clean and conformabl3. No shampoo or conditioner.
- 5/5
Great place to stay
- 2/5
It has a weird smell. My chilld felt something crawling on him. I actually went and requested linens to change sheets.
- 5/5
Very clean hotel.
- 4/5
Lack of cleanliness on doors, mirrors
- 1/5
We tried to precheck-in 2 weeks in advance for 12 rooms. The hotel informed us that they will be closed down for renovations during my time of stay during one of the largest rallies in the state. I called corporate and they said that they couldn't help. The night of our trip, they called at 1111pm wanting to charge me for my trip. They stated that i had to pay for 3 rooms and that they never canceled me. I do not trust them.
- 1/5
Worst place i have ever been. No kleenex, refrigerator freezer had abiut 4 inches of ice top bottom and sides, not to mention the freezer doir falls off when you open the refrigerator door. No closet to hang clothes. Not very clean, just a bad experience all the way around.
- 1/5
We told them the ac didn't work and they called the cops and accused us of stealing a mirror off the wall and refused to show the police the camera footage which showed us walking out. They have a TV a the desk showing every camera, even the entrance.
- 2/5
Unpleasent smell from the AC unit like a humid carpet smell. TV screen had a two vertical black lines, smoke detector was detached from the ceiling and just laid down by the tv. (that's a hazard and safety violation in my view). Odd thing is building looks new or remodeled but just not being properly maintain. Do not recommend.
- 5/5
Good for the price
- 5/5
Ok
- 5/5
It was quiet and clean
- 2/5
We had a late check in because we were traveling. Arrived at 1:30am. We got to our already paid for room to find food, trash and someone had been sleeping in our room. Paid for a queen bed and got stuck with 2 doubles in a different room. Room was clean, but no shampoo and 1 tiny bar of soap. Will never stay there again. At least the girl (staff)tried!
- 1/5
Disgusting hotel room, horrible front desk service. Would not send my dog to this hotel. They price gouged during the hurricane.
- 3/5
Need to work on their maintenance, leaking air conditioner, 2nd room beeping smoke detector
- 1/5
I was charged for a reservation that was cancelled and they won’t return call or emails
- 1/5
This is a scam. I booked a two night stay with this hotel. Be mindful when booking with them I arrived there late because of delays that night only to be told that they gave out my room. I was stranded as every hotel in that area were fully booked. They’re heartless. They simply said, we didn’t charge your card. So we gave out your room. It was ridiculous.
- 1/5
Smoke detectors were missing. Common coffee area was filthy. Would not recommend!!!!!
- 1/5
We booked room couple of days back once we reach there they said they can find our booking we are on road at till 2am
- 3/5
Cleanliness is average
- 4/5
Quick and easy access to the highway and nearby to what we needed. Will probably stay here again.
- 5/5
Always friendly and reasonable. Good place to stay
- 1/5
The rooms were dirty mold on shower curtain no toilet paper in the restrooms staff was rude and hateful
- 5/5
It was an excellent trip, the room served it's purpose. The bed wasn't super comfortable and the room smelled of floor cleaner but it was what we needed so we could go to the beach. We would stay again
- 2/5
Dirty property
- 5/5
Excellent
- 5/5
It was a good place to stay while in Houston it was clean and the staff was friendly.
- 5/5
We stayed at the Motel 6 on I-45 in Texas City with a group of friends. The property was easy to find and the check in process was easy and fast. The employees were nice. It was convenient to get to Galveston for our cruise.
- 2/5
We got disturbed at 5:30 pm. They knocked on our door to come in and do renovations. They shouldn’t be doing that when they have guests in the room. We drove all day and got undressed and was relaxing. Had to get up and get dressed and all they did was put up a towel rack.I got up next morning to make coffee and there was a used filter still in coffee pot. Then I went to take a shower and no shampoo or conditioner and also a used soap bar still in bathroom. Unsure if they even cleaned bathroom. I had another night booked but decided to cancel.
- 5/5
good staff clean rooms
- 5/5
One of the better Motel 6’s I’ve stayed in EVER.
- 5/5
When I come into for a few days I stay there the staff is friendly nice very helpful if you need anything while you’re are there.
- 3/5
Place smells like cigarettes everywhere. The carpets in the halls are filled with glitter
- 5/5
Nice and clean, quiet place nice to stay the night. Domino's pizza next to the motel Kelley’s at the front.
- 1/5
I booked two rooms. There was stuff in the toilet in one room and dirty sheets in the other. My reservation was for two rooms and they said I only booked one room so I had to get another at the desk then I was charged for three rooms.
- 2/5
The bed was so hard and incredibly uncomfortable. No extra pillows. Dead and half dead bugs all over the room
- 2/5
The air conditioning not working microwave dirty and smell bad mini fridge also dirty
- 1/5
The bedding smells like they need to be washed. The restrooms need a good cleaning as well as the towles. I went to get some coffee, breakfast and sat in the lounge area with my earbusds and phone when I was approached by a man; black t-shirt, black shorts and black flip-flops. The man was asking me who I was, why was I sitting there and was I staying in the hotel; was very agressively. I asked him if he was an employee and what was his tiltle, stated that he was the manager/owner; did not have a name tag, hotel logo and was not dressed like someone whom was working ata hotel. I showed him my key card and it wasn’t enough for him he wanted to know my room number. He proceeded to demand what my room number was and stated that I might be a homeless person. At that point I let him know that I was a paying customer and his approach is very aggressive. His wife came out because I did raise my voice when he stated I may be homeless person. At no point did they apologize once they knew I was a customer. DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS HOTEL!

I was traveling with my dog, which was good accommodations, though it wasn’t the best of hotels it was the suffice, a problem I had was they charge a $40 animal deposit that was supposed of been refundable, they put a hold on my $40 and did not release it. Therefore I will be contacting them about my $40.
- 1/5
Got scammed, I booked through a third party site and got charged an extra $76 when checking in claiming it will be waived off. I was able to dispute it after 90 days. Then he tried to charge me extra $20 for arriving an hr early and told him I only had $7
- 2/5
The room was strange. TV was mounted on a laminate structure and faced away from the bed. Not impossible but awkward to watch TV. The laminate was peeling/falling off the small dining table and the TV structure. The mini fridge was stored underneath the little dining table. When you sat down you’d kick the back of the fridge. Just odd. All these things weren’t important as I just wanted to sleep and shower. They initially provided two bars of soap and a couple towels & wash cloths. Ok, I’ll work with that. On the 2nd day they cleaned the room, made the bed, etc. Well, they took away our only two little slivers of soap and didn’t replace the dirty towels. Sheesh. I went down and could not find an attendant. My husband and I laughed about drying off with a shared hand towel. Not the end of the world, but worth noting for others. Last Day… It was 7am and husband started loading stuff into the car, etc while I continued to get ready so, he didn’t lock the door manually from the interior. Suddenly a key card clicked and someone is walking in our room! Arrg. Maybe the attendant bringing towels and soap we need days ago? 😊
- 4/5
Hotel was clean. Staff was a bit abrubt & rude. Thete was a musty smell in the air. In building everywhere. It was ok for a quick overnight stay.
- 5/5
Everything was nice and clean
- 3/5
Got to the motel at about 4 PM to find that Ms. Patel (the owner) had cancelled my reservation on the 14 of October without letting me know. We stayed there on the 4th of November. When I asked the man there why she would do this, he said he didn't know. I said why don't you call and ask. He did but did not say what she said. He wanted to give me the room for the going rate and I told him I reserved the room in March and wanted the rate that was promised to me. He finally did it. The motel wasn't full so I guess she decided to give it to me for the price that I reserved it for. It is my speculation that this weekend was the Rally of Texas and she thought she could get more for the room than I had been charged. Other than that the stay was fine. The motel was clean and I had a good nights sleep. Don't think I will stay here again. Put a bad taste in my mouth. We stay in Galveston about every three months.
- 1/5
The room smelled like mold the refrigerator didn’t work they brought us a second one it was broke also the plug in the bathroom was broke the maid never came into the room in 7 days we had to get towels from the main desk please do your self a favor and stay away from this hotel
- 3/5
Room was dirty…bathroom was filth, towels stained and appeared to be unsanitary. No amenities, no coffee at times stated, very limited vending machine choices. Just no.
- 1/5
None of the ice machines worked and when told, the young man gave scarcely any indication he heard. We returned later on and found that the room that the computer had said was empty had indeed been emptied by the hotel staff tossing all of the items into the hallway...not in a storage closet, just in the public walkway. At bedtime we discovered that our bed was missing sheets. I went to the front desk and was told that by both the male employees that they were eating and I can come back in 10-15 minutes. I told them my room number and asked if they could be brought up. I was told again to come back so I told them they would bring them to me. The younger male agreed as the older one opened his mouth to argue. Twenty minutes later we received a call to see if we had our sheets, no we didn't. Ten more minutes and the older male brought them up and then made some comment about if I could make a bed. The nerve, the audacity...I said thank you and walked away.
- 1/5
We arrived Thursday night and from desk clerk had a not so friendly attitude, next day no one clean the room and remove the trash, it took 2 days for the room to have some one come in and remove towels, trash was left in the room and I had to go down to the front desk to ask for new set of towels, throughout the week the lobby smell like weed everyday.
- 5/5
Close to where I wanted to be
- 1/5
Owner was rude but the guy at front desk was very respectful and helpful my room was dirty shower was not clean and the tv did not work
- 2/5
Booked a room with 2 beds. We ended up with a room with 1 bed. Cleanliness of the rooms was not good. The property seems to be a new one but it’s not upkept with cleaning.
- 1/5
Jason (I believe) works front desk & is very unprofessional, this worker opened the door to our room after only knocking once, (I breastfeed & was doing so when this occurred) so it was a very uncomfortable experience. There was cockroaches in the bathroom, sand in the shower floor, do not recommend staying here, we will not be going back.
- 1/5
There is so much mold in this place is disgusting. And definitely not safe
- 1/5
I would never stay there again . Ask for towels and the lady at front desk said she was gonna call police cause I ask for towels and mold in room very bad I had too clean the room my self too sleep in there . Rude staff no one at the desk at 8 pm
- 5/5
It had everything I needed and the beds were very comfortable, clean towels are excellent and very comfortable
- 3/5
Little more detail to bed comfort, pillows to flat
