    Do not stay here. It was smelly, moldy and dirty! The extra comforter had a 12 inch rip/tear in it, we took it down to replace, the next one was worse! We had to trade rooms due to moldy smell. We would have left and gone to another hotel, but it was 1 am in the morning when we arrived…not a good experience.

    The air conditioner didn’t work in the room. The room was really musky. Stains in the carpet my daughter said looked like blood! The elevator had something splashed on the walls of one that looked like blood! There was a guy hanging out in the lobby late at night and then again in the morning who looked shady. Not a customer. The night clerk had her young child with her. I never leave reviews but this one had way too many things to be aware of!

    Front desk staff super friendly. Room was spacious and beds were super comfy. Disliked the water pressure in shower was weak and took too long to get hot. Definitely don’t get a room closest to the lobby - lobby speakers playing music all night and elevator binging made for restless sleep. (Next time we’ll request room away from lobby.) overall a very comfortable space.

    The staff was very friendly I would give them an A+. The Breakfast was good. The bed was comfortable. The negatives was the A/C unit was loud. The shower was not hot. Chair in my room needs to be replace. Cannot sit in it back caves in. Would recommend the 4th floor due to me being on the 3rd and had to listen to someone stomp their feet all night long for 2 of my 4 days. Lots of construction going on. Real close the buckeyes. Would stay again

    Hotel has been here a while and looks and feels a little tired. Staff was very friendly and helpful - my wife is handicapped and the staff gladly provided extra pillows and towels, and a portable fan for the bathroom - it gets hot in there and there is no exhaust fan. Bed was pretty firm and we needed the extra pillows to make it work. Breakfast provided was solid - pancake machine not working one morning and some hot oatmeal would be nice (only instant available). The HIE cinnamon rolls are one reason we chose to stay here. Too cold/windy at this time of year [around Thanksgiving; to visit family] to use the pool, but saw they had a lift chair to allow disabled to access the pool (which my wife would need). Would stay here again.

    I would like to begin by saying entrances to this hotel is not the at all great way to enter, we were fine checking in but notice the second elevator not working only one worked and the one that did work would shake and bounce when it stopped, like if the cable couldn't hold. Upon entering our room there was a strong stench of wet and musty smell to the room. You couldn't avoid smelling it. We asked to be moved to another room due to the smell and the lady that attended us mention, all the rooms will smell like that. We were shown other rooms we pick one that smell less of the must. But upon inspecting the room had items that were broken. First the ac had rust inside the vents along with a sound of filled water. The alarm clock was broken no cover in front and the alarm off button did not work. So, we heard the alarm turn on multiple times. The room phone also did not work couldn't call front desk or housekeeping for extra towels or blankets. The extra blanket for the pull-out bed had a huge hole where you can see the stuffing. Loud noise coming from the exercise room around 2am from people exercising with a radio on. People hanging out in the hallways speaking loudly and not caring about people sleeping. Next day at check-out we all woke up sick, congested with sore throats from the musty and wet room we slept in. I do not recommend this hotel. Our first time here and the staff did not do a well of a job to keep this place clean and orderly.

    2. The tv cable wouldn’t work, they sent a staff member to come and re calibrate the cable and got it to work, but it turned off again before the end of the night. 3. Mold! Terrible moldy shower in the shower door track. A simple spray and a brush will clean that out. 4. There was a clock radio next to our bed that made static noises all night. I even got down under the table to try to unplug it but the plug was covered up. I really expected better from this hotel.

    We contacted the hotel to notify them that we would be checking in late. At our arrival around 10pm we noticed a fowl smell. Going up to our room we noticed fans flowing in the hallway and in front of our room door. Our room had a terrible mole and humidity order. Due to our arrive time we stayed the night and checked out the following morning at 8am. We requested for a refund at the front desk for the remaining nights and were rejected the refund and we were billed even though we had left. We proceeded and checked in at the Marriott hotel for the remaining of our trip.

    The property itself is just old and outdated. The beds were pretty comfortable. I’m not entirely sure how well they clean the rooms considering we found somebody’s sock underneath our sink in the bathroom. The area around the pool is broken and cracked, but not to the point that I would consider dangerous. The pool is also quite small and there is no hot tub. The staff is very friendly and helpful.

    Hotel smelled humid as if the floors have water damage. They had dehumidifiers all throughout the hallway. The rooms smelled like water, but in a bad way, like mold. They would not give me in my granddaughter, a new room because We booked through a third-party. They said do not book this hotel. It smells like mold on all the floors. It is not suitable to sleep in. Only one elevator was working, the breakfast was only cereal, and bagels due to the oven not working, all the floors smelled of mold. DO NOT BOOK!

    We paid for two rooms for three nights each, so around $800. Only one elevator worked, hallways and rooms smelled wet and mildew, kitchen was out of service ( free breakfast was cereal and bagels). They should not rent rooms that are not fit to sleep in. They would not change my mom’s room to a new one, stating “ you booked through a third party, we can not give you a new room”. DO NOT BOOK this hotel

    We couldn't stay. The hitel had dehumidifiers everywhere, black mold in the rooms, the sheets were damp from the moisture, the decals on the walls were coming off becaise even the walls were wet. The lady at the front desl, Bridgette was amazing. Poor lady was up there sweating and stull smiling and doing her best to please customers. The maintenance man thar was working was so accommodating, he we to checl 3 different rooms to find us the best room they had. It didnt work out, but those two rmployees were rockstars. Sad to see a Holday Inn Express in this poor condition. We even met guests in the parking lot that actually went and bought a box fan for their room to stay cool. Now hotels.com is trying to chase thebhitel down for a refund. It's all on this hitel, hitels.com has been wonderful so far. Waiting on a refund.

    The stay was fine. Close to the pot, which was perfect for our family cruise. Customer service was amazing. Fred was such a kind and fun interactive person. But somehow, I was double charged. I had already paid through the hotels.com app...so i was not supposed to be charged again for two rooms. Working with my bank now to correct the issue. I am unable to reach anyone via phone or email.

    When I arrived at the hotel, the staff treated me very poorly. They asked for my ID, and while everything seemed fine at first, they didn’t hand my ID back to me as I gave it to them. they placed it on the me pick it up myself. The attitude was terrible, and I felt it was discriminatory. The person was a bald African American man, and I am Hispanic. I felt very discriminated against and was extremely upset with how he spoke to me. I do not recommend this place. When we got to the room, it smelled really bad, a very strong odor, possibly something to do with the air. Honestly, I do not recommend it at all. However, the African American woman working in the morning, who is tall with long hair, was very kind and attentive. I believe she handles breakfast and is very polite and helpful with everyone. I recommend her service, but not the other guy who attended me first. His attitude was awful.

    The staff was not friendly at all and the night front desk staff was sagging & smelled like weed. Both the day desk clerk & night was always on personal calls on phone. Acted inconvenienced anytime you needed something. The 1st room they gave us smelled horrible but they did give us another and it was ok but you could tell it was not very clean.

    Not sure why this hotel had good ratings because it was pretty awful. The room stunk like roaches and the bed skirt was nasty. The doors were hung crooked. Fred was nice when we checked in but some of the other staff not so much. It was a busy weekend and the one person preparing breakfast had a hard time keeping up.

    The staff was great and friendly. The entire hotel smells musty. As soon as you walked in the front doors you could smell it. Our room smelled the same and felt humid. We were only there for one night so we stayed. I fortunately brought odor illuminating spray so it was tolerable.

    Hotels.com booked us a disability room without our knowledge. The room smelled as if the carpet was mildew. The carpet and in the walls was wet from the storms. Per the front desk attendant. So to change rooms would have been pointless because the other rooms smelled the same. Also the shower head was zipped tied so that it wouldn't fall from its position. Mind you it did anyway when I tried to adjust it. The shower curtain had visible urine stains and it reaked. I was given some spray to spray around the room just to make it through the night. Needless to say I'm up at 2 a.m. making this review. I feel robbed not only of my hard earned money but of my rest.

    The staff was very polite and friendly. Our room wasn't ready when we got there at about 330- check in is at 3- but they worked hard to get it clean quickly and we only had to wait about 15-20 minutes. The manager said they had a lot of late check outs that morning. Overall the hotel appeared and smelled clean except on the 2nd night when we got to our floor the smell of Marijuana was so heavy, we could hardly breathe. Thankfully the smell didn't continue into our room. Bed was comfortable, they replaced our towels daily but didn't do a full clean daily which is OK because i don't even make my bed at home so why would i need someone to do it for me on vacation. Breakfast looked pretty standard though my husband said the pancakes were raw in the middle so we ate somewhere else the 2nd day. Parking could use some help as it didn't seem like there's many spaces. I like that this hotel is close to lots of things in the area. Overall I'd say this hotel is pretty good.

    Never again. My trash cans were on my “clean” bathroom sink, the shower was stained, and I had to call maintenance to get the tv operating. Nothing was worse than the lobby and dining area during breakfast. The tables were dirty and my shoes actually stuck to the floors.

    While the staff was amazing, the condition of the property is poor. The third floor smells horribly of mold/mildew to the point that I’m concerned it may be a health hazard. There are mold spots on the ceiling and the fixtures are rusted. One of the outlets in our room had clearly been overheated/burned as well. There were also stains on some of the bedding. Overall, I wouldn’t be able to recommend this location in good faith unless a lot of work is done to remedy the problems.

    When we got to the hotel there was a whole bunch of people in the parking lot handing out in cars blasting music and smoking weed. So much so that we smelled like it when we got in the hotel. There was roaches in the lobby and lobby bathroom. We put our things in our room and went to eat. When we got back the people that had been outside when we got there were now inside with the Hotel staff sitting and cutting up in the breakfast area with the lights off. We went to our room and went to bed and were out if the hotel by 8 the next morning. There was also an issue with my card while I was there and they charged me more than once for the room.

    We stayed here in August with my family for a night. Bed was comfy room was big . But the smell in the hall was like humidity with mold. They had multiple air purifiers trying to help but it didint at all. The rooms smell of orange scent you can tell they were trying to cover up the smell. Will never stayed there again. Disappointed since it was our first time in Texas we’re catching a cruise the next morning. Note is on the other side of Walmart and you will have to Uber to the plaza can’t just walk there.
