I do not recommend staying here unless you’re just staying to be close to a job temporarily. Front desk was unapologetic about the TV we ended up with in our room that had two lines top to bottom on the screen with DEAD PIXELS. I informed them and not even an apology. I booked for TWO adults and they placed two standard towels, 2 wash cloths and a hand towel in the bathroom. I explained I need a towel for the floor and shower to prevent falls because the way my lupus is set up would make recovery a nightmare. She argued with me for a good few minutes that I needed to bring the dirty towels to her first. I BEG YOUR PARDON? I had just arrived and noticed the shortage of towels so I was requesting two additional standard towels because most hotels and even motels provide 2 per ADULT. Not only that but what kind of hotel is telling guests to bring them the towels instead of coming to their room themselves with fresh towels? I ended up having to go to retrieve my additional towels MYSELF. The floor had a moldy smell and stayed damped no matter how much we tried drying it out with the AC. I took my L, and lost money booking with another hotel to get out of this one. It was a disappointment to think a hotel could be so out of touch with how they should treat their guests. Never again. Don’t do it! Also do not be fooled by that picture of the grand staircase. I don’t think this hotel even gets full enough for people to be booked on the upper floor. It’s nothing like the pictures.

To start with the girl at the desk had no idea about anything everything we ask her she told us she did not know i.e. what do they serve for breakfast? She said I have no clue. I work nights none of my concern second, our TV would not work. I explained to her that it would not work. She told me I didn’t know what I was talking about. She would come fix it. She came to our room. It was not fixable. Someone had unhooked the HDMI cable. She had to call her boss and work through it over the phone never apologize for being rude or for telling me I didn’t know what I was doing. Next thing we go to the swimming pool she tells us this hot tub is not working and the swimming pool is not heated so therefore we could not use the pool or the hot tub. Our bathtub was dirty. Look like someone had taken a shower in it right before we got there. The bed line still look clean. The room was stable, but it smelt like mildew.

The first floor had an overwhelmingly strong odor of gas, it was so strong that just walking down the hall made my daughter and I dizzy. I told the woman at the front desk and she said it was coming from the laundry room and she would turn off the gas valve. I wonder how long they’ve been aware of the gas leak, no dangerous and negligent. The room was nice enough, but when we were getting ready for bed the roaches started coming out! We counted five, that was with the lights on. It was after 2am so we stuck it out despite our disgust. The breakfast was the sorriest hotel breakfast I’ve seen. They had very little to choose from. My daughter had their scrambled eggs and I made a piece of toast. We tossed our food a couple minutes later when we noticed a roach crawl under the toaster, and another on the trash lid. We left the hotel and when we put our bags in the car there was another roach crawling on my daughter’s bag. This place is disgusting!

Only spent the one night on our way to a cruise in Galveston. Room was clean and furniture was in good shape. Staff was friendly and bed comfortable. The bathroom was clean and well lit. We did not take advantage of the breakfast but got coffee. We would stay again on a trip through. Maybe the area of town. Not really familiar with the Houston area. Need better light around the little kitchen area. Liked the hall not having carpet. Wish the bedroom wasn't carpeted.

- 3/5
Room was clean, which was mainly what I needed. Lacked a coffee maker or anything to cook with, eat with when it was advertised as a mini suite possessing a fridge, microwave and cooktop. No pots, pans, silverware, plates or dishes of any kind.
- 3/5
Rooms are old and smell weird. Tub wouldn’t drain
- 1/5
We did not stay there….if I don’t receive compensation for this hotel I will not trust Expedias recommendations and will not recommend my friends and family to use it as a travel tool
- 5/5
Nice and clean
- 1/5
There was not any hot water. The breakfast, if you can call it that was bad. Store bought donuts out dated, syrup dispenser wouldn’t hardly give you any. Tables dirty with syrup. From outside looks great but once in not. They have a fish tank with green water and have fish that look like they are suffering.
- 2/5
The door did not feel safe, room needed clean walls, bathroom fixtures outdated. Beds comfort level below average staff not friendly, would not return
- 2/5
Water pressure was terrible. Unacceptable for a hotel chain to not have that low of water pressure not only in the shower but the sink to wash our hands.
- 4/5
Reported door lock busted, shower handle broke. The smell of curry all day nausea

I’m 80 years old and accidentally booked the wrong Baymont. We’ve always stayed for eight years at the one in Galveston and when I booked this trip, I did not pay enough tension to see that it was Texas City after trying to contact contact them and cancel and not be charged I was rejected. We’re traveling with four couples and this is gonna go a long ways if they can’t treat an 80 old man decent then we don’t need Baymont chain. When we get home, there will be several posts explaining how we were treated on Facebook. And I will get with PayPal and we’ll get our money back.

Breakfast was lacking, very few selections. Pool was good. Had the have management turn on heat for hot tub both days we were there. Very inconvenient.

- 4/5
Property was under renovations but they service was excellent. Breakfast was hat and delicious. Definitely will be coming back.
- 4/5
Liked everything but the commode. It was extremely low.
- 4/5
The front desk staff were extremely helpful, and the room was very nice. But the breakfast was not something I would expect from a well known company like Wyndham: no salt or pepper; only one choice of creamer (no hazelnut, or vanilla, etc.); eggs and sausage were of poor quality.
- 4/5

The stay was awesome , staff was very friendly and the room was clean

The building needs updated and not located in a convent area but felt safe, service was ok, breakfast offered but out of several items and coffee machine kept having to be reset, however, the bed was very comfortable.

1st time great. 2nd time bath stunk and no toilet paper. This time checked in but person at desk said room not ready and come back ariund 3. Even though check in is at 2. We sat in parking lot. They called and put us in adifferebt room. This room very little toilet paper and we had to take COLD showers re no HOT water. Completely cold.
- 1/5
It was dirty, pillows had stains. The whole property smelled aweful. The beds were so uncomfortable. Originally booked 2 nights, after the first night we cancelled and they refunded us. Do not recommend
- 5/5
The room itself was absolutely wonderful, very good decorating. I don't know who did that, but they were right on. Uh, the clouds on the ceiling make it very relaxing. The fact that the windows have a total block out shade on them is perfect, and that's, it's so spacious and and comfy very clean. Very happy with our choice.
- 1/5
Booked this hotel because it was affordable and we was boarding a cruise ship the next morning. Well it was horrible! I had to go ask for toilet paper the roll was empty and none in the room. It was dirty and old. The free breakfast was a joke. Will never stay there again

Sink was broken. Shower handle detached. Was old looked to be possibly updating which it badly needed.
- 1/5
It was smelly, there was rust in the tub, im hoping there were no bed bugs but i woke up with rashes and "mosquito bites"
- 2/5
No real breakfast here… VERY limited, and the food food that was available was literally still frozen in the middle…. front desk girl mustve been new, couldnt tell us if we could have late check out or not and would only provide us 2 towels even though there was 4 of us in the room… but the worst part? Roaches in the room… did not stay the 2nd night and I dont recommend anyone does
- 1/5
The room had roaches, it had a musky smell and everything felt damp…Air conditioner was dripping on the floor and barely stayed on. The free breakfast was so bad a lady couldn’t feet her toddler
- 2/5
The 1st room they put us in was HORRIBLE! Smell like cigarettes. Had burt holes in bed linens and very outdated. Refused to stay in that room. Was offered another room that was remodeled (like pics on website). But I was disappointed that the 1st room was even an option. Why would you even consider putting someone in a room in that condition. When I book a cruise, I normally go a day early, but I WILL NOT be using this hotel.

This place used to be the Crystal Suites. Basically the same as it was with updated furniture. Decent enough for a night or two. Would stay again.

Room was recently renovated but public area was marginal. Coffee machine and juice completely broken. Eggs were old and beearly recognizable. Ran out of toilet paper and no glasses or cups available.
- 3/5
No room safe / no computer room / work out room under construction / breakfast buffet was minimal. Indoor pool was not heated / Staff was friendly and helpful but I can"t recommend.
- 3/5

- 1/5
Horrible experience! Can’t hardly breathe due to smoke smell in a nonsmoking room. Cigarette burns on toilet seat, bed sheets, and beds. Stains on walls, sheets, bed. Couch is torn and stained. Toilet doesn’t work well. Room stinks. My daughter and I are miserable!
- 4/5
Clutter laying around
- 3/5
Under construction! It was okay stay
- 5/5
Enjoy the stay. Comfortable and Quiet
- 1/5
This place is a complete train wreck. The entire thing was under construction. The room was half done, the sink had no faucet, there was rust all over the tub, the light in the bathroom was crooked, the mirror was cracked. I doubt that I would consider staying again.
- 2/5
Well the checking process was convenient, and having a stove and microwave and freezer in our room was fantastic, the broken tv, the fact that the air was always wet and the fact that we had to trap and release a lizard ourselves was extremely unpleasant.
- 2/5
The landscaping is overgrown and difficult to see the sign. Hot tub is cold. Locks are missing on the outside doors in pool area with signs that say you must rent a room to swim so apparently lots of people off the street come in through the unlocked doors. No hot water in shower either.
- 1/5
False advertisement the hotel name is not the same as advertised the place still under construction fkn stinks the worst stay ever

From what I can tell, the hotel was clean but the musty odor was something that I could not overlook. I recommend keeping the air on low to allow for circulation
- 2/5
When I walked into the building, it smelled like pot. The rooms also smelled like pot. I had my grandson with me, and I felt very uncomfortable with all the people standing around in the back parking lot that the front desk told me to use. It has potential to be a decent place to stay overnight, but it needs a few changes.
- 3/5
Gentleman at the desk was a little short with me when we arrived early. One day we did not get our room cleaned or new washcloths. Not much for a continental breakfast.
- 2/5
Upon arriving the large fish tank was so dirty you couldnt hardly see the fish in it and our door to our room was dirty. Staff wasnt friendly at all. The bathroom was clean but tubs could use some work, rusty in places. Beds were very comfortable and room was quiet.
- 5/5
Great staff at this hotel. I stay here before taking a cruise ship out of galveston. Great value for the cost
- 3/5
Nice location between Texas city and Galveston. Beautiful wooden furniture in rooms but they need to be wiped down more often, the one desk in my room had surface mold and the smell of mildew. Still not super bad place for what it’s worth
- 5/5
The staff were kind and helpful. The place was absolutely clean. Good location to shopping. I will be staying there for my annual fishing trips to galveston
- 3/5
Went there for vacation. Lots of disappointments. Hot tub didn't work. Breakfast was horrible, basically just cereal. Hard beds, Rude employees (except for first office guy and cleaning lady), Halls were infused with Marijuana smoke 1/2 the time. Pool was SUPER chlorinated, burned our eyes. Location was great though. Also they never refilled our room soaps, or coffee. Will not go again. The Best Western across the street is 1000% better. We went there to save a few dollars and very much regret it. This place would be fine for a day or two, but we were there 5 days.
- 4/5
Stayed for one night to catch a cruise the next day. Price was great, staff very nice and friendly. The room amd property was very clean. However, it's outdated. The furniture and decor need updating. The "breakfast" was packaged donuts, a few muffins, bananas and apples nothing really satisfying. It served its purpose for us for just a one night stay.

- 4/5
Good place to stay
- 4/5
It was quiet and the atmosphere was comfortable other than the sheets on the bed were still wet. They were clean! But still wet. We slept between the two top layers and not on the sheets. They tried.... Other than the sheets being wet, it was fine.

Mildew all over the inside of the shower curtain. I Couldn't find the remote to the t.v. even after looking in every drawer in the room. Pulled back the blankets on the bed and to my puzzled, suprise i finally found the T.v. remote, which made me wonder 🤔...are these the same sheets the guest before me used? So I look a little closer and not only was the remote in the bed but also multiple scattered short black hairs, possibly pubic hairs? Who knows !?! only thing I knew was, I was not sleeping on those sheets. I went to the front desk explained what i found and asked if i could have clean sheets and that i didn't mind putting them on myself. With a nasty attitude he told me to bring him the ones on the bed, so I did. As he's picking them all apart he's angrily asking me why i brought him the blankets off the bed too and not just the sheets.I explained to him that if the sheets weren't changed the blankets probably weren't either. He yelled while holding up the blanket "how do you know this is dirty, where do you see dirty?" So i further explained the sheets were dirty and the blanket lays on top of the sheets so in my mind the blanket is dirty too and again if the sheets were unchanged and dirty why would the blanket be clean? He literally argued back in forth with me about the blankets not being dirty just because the sheet is. Shoved the whole pile of bedding towards me and told me he wasnt giving me anything. Needless to say i left and didnt receive even a partial refun

Hotel smelled very musty. Pool was ok, but the winows were open and screens were torn badly and doors to outside were open so lots of mosquitoes in pool area. Nobody cleaned tables or counters during breakfast. Hotel want horrible but it was just like they didnt care. Trash in the parking lot, torn screens and nobody tending to anything.
- 5/5
Surprisingly nice; mini kitchen really unexpected loved it
- 3/5

It was ok for the price. The pool was extremely cold and the hot tub was broken. The breakfast area didn't have enough seating and it ran out of food fast. The hall way carpet was very dirty and the room carpet wasn't as clean as it could be.

Just was not a great place to stay. The show was scary didn’t want to put my feet in it. but it did the trick for the one night stay and you get what you paid for. Next time will pay the extra $$$ lesson learned

Chose this place. Because of clean reviews. Staff was friendly when we arrived. BUT @2:30am. The ac collapsed. Had to move rooms. And was NOT what i wanted. We had two beds. Instead of one. And no compensation was done. Made me unsatisfied.
- 5/5
We rented the hotel to go swimming and could go the water was freezing cold. Money down the drain. But everything else was ok

Hospitality
- 1/5
This property was filthy, owner is incredibly rude and dishonest, bed bugs, 10-12 dirty mattresses piled in the lobby of the hotel, the sheets and towels were stained, the building smells awful. I checked my room and walked out in 5 minutes asking for a refund that was denied. The owner is a thief and very aware of the unsanitary conditions of his hotel. Don’t waste time or money. Should be condemned.
- 4/5
Looked like they were in process of updating rooms- is a comfortable safe place to stay- was close enough to Galveston to suit our needs ( about 20-15 min drive). Would stay again it is a good price and value.
- 2/5
The 2nd floor hallways smelled like smoke! Literally as if somebody hot box that whole place. There was popcorn from previous people there im guessing. We only slept there because my small kids or i couldnt take the smell. Luckily at night the smell wasnt that bad or in our room.
- 3/5
The place is ok. The pool was freezing. I had mold on the ceiling over the shower. The breakfast was subpar only fake eggs waffles fruit cold muffins and the juice machine was broken. So they kept one carton of milk and orange juice. Was not very continental. It served as a place to sleep honestly.
