The staff were extremely helpful and friendly. The breakfast was great. Unfortunately for the kiddos, the pool was green and closed. And for the out of shape people in the group, the stair climb to the 4th floor was brutal. The elevator was broke. Luckily we were only there 1 night for a graduation.

The property had good location. The hotel had the elevator out of service. And the pool was green and dirty. We wanted to enjoy all the amenities.

Don't waste your money here. This has to be the worst Holiday Inn I have ever stayed at and I doubt I'll stay at another one again because of this experience. The WiFi only worked in the hallway and in the lobby - not at all in the room, which was insane for a hotel in 2026. I was there on a business trip and really needed the WiFi to work. Also, the TV in the bedroom didn't work. I went to the front desk to ask for help and the employee told me there was nothing he could do about the WiFi and that the "TVs here don't work, so don't even bother." The employee who told me this smelled of alcohol/was potentially drunk on the job. Additionally, the bathroom was not clean. Someone else's hair was in the shower when I checked in, there were spots of mold on the shower curtain, the bath towel had yellow spots on it, and the bathroom door on the inside was filthy. The room itself was very loud, and the bed was sunken in the middle.

I did take pictures of broken toilet tank lid and the torn bed skirt as we entered our room. The room needed to a good vacuuming, please move the chairs and vacuum under them and the desk.

The property has a lot of potential, especially for guests staying during nearby events, but improvements in housekeeping are urgently needed to meet basic cleanliness standards. The cleanliness was very disappointing. In the bathroom, there were hairs on the floor and in the bathtub, and the bed sheets had noticeable yellow stains. This significantly affected the overall experience. We requested room service for cleaning, but even after it was done, there were still hairs left behind and the room was not properly cleaned. Unfortunately, this made our stay feel disappointing in that aspect.

Very busy location with limited supplies

There was very little toilet paper in the room. I left my room for the day and when I returned there was no toilet paper in my room. I had to go down to the front desk and I requested another roll and was told it would be brought up to me. No one came 4hrs later. I had to go back down to get it from the front desk. Won't stay here again.

Checkout was a breeze A big letdown at the breakfast area the pancake maker was not working. No one could get pancakes, which was a highlight for the breakfast area until we woke up to find out it was broken. The rest of the available breakfast was good and coffee was good.

Everything for the most part was great. However the one of the beds were broken. Someone was supposed to come take a look at it, never showed up and I couldn’t get moved to a new room due to it being sold out. No towels were in my room an to go ask for some at the front desk.

Beds are too high. Being 76 with a bad back, it was impossible to get into bed without help. Had I been alone, I would not have been able to sleep. I see no reason for beds to be elevated to such an extent. Even 2-3 inches lower would help.

We had no hot water. There were dozens of stains on carper and several more on the couch. Food stains in the living area. Hand print on the wall by the bed and a spill of something white near the closet. We spoke with the front desk and was told that since we booked with Travelocity, there is nothing they can do and that maintenance is on site addressing the hot water issue.

The girl at the front desk was nice. There is absolutely NO REASON you should have to turn the sink then the shower on for over 30 minutes to have hot water. Cold showers suck, in February in Tampa. They should be ashamed to charge what they do and have to do a “trick” for your guest to have a hot (hell, warm) shower for a 3-day visit.

It was close to where we needed to go. beds were comfortable When I booked our stay it asked me when we will be arriving and I said 3 because check in is at 3. So we arrived around 3:20 and they said it would be like 5 mins till our room was ready they were putting towels in it. Well it was 4:35 before they finally gave us our room key as we stay in the lobby watching so people check in and get there keys and go to there rooms. Once we FINALLY get to our room there’s NO towels even in our room. They took over an hour to even get us some towels. The breakfast part was from 7 to 10 we went down around 8 for breakfast and everything was completely empty, yes they were making more but we sat there for 30 mins waiting on more breakfast because the whole bar of food was wiped out. Very unhappy

The room they gave us reaked of smoke, the shower curtain closed half way and the water had absolutely no pressure. It took a long time for the water to heat up. Glad we only stayed less than 2r hours. Would not recommend.

2nd stay and no complaints. Clean and comfortable. Has 3 coffee stores walking distance. Cozy coffee next door has good food and a bar, dont let the name fool you. Minute drive to usf campus.

Room was hot and smelled like mold when we walked in. When we were about to check out noticed what looked like a large blood stain on the mattress of room 303. I am disgusted and won’t be staying here again. staff was very nice however.

The only issue we had was a bathroom. The bathtub was damaged, the colors were peeling off (you wouldn’t see such things even in the cheapest motel), it wasn’t well cleaned and had some hairs. The rest was okay. The room was clean, the staff was nice. It would be nice if some water would be available in the room, as it is a standard practice everywhere, but it was not available in our room. Thank you.

Check was quick and easy. My room was very clean and had what I needed to make my stay comfortable and pleasant. Housekeeping made sure to clean my room daily and leave clean towels and take the used ones.

This has been my go-to hotel when moving my kid in and out of her dorm at USF. It's a quick 5 minute drive to the school, but also it's a little ways back from the main road so it's quiet. The rooms have always been clean and there's plenty of outlets. The free breakfast is better than average. I have recommended this hotel to other USF parents.

This has been my go-to hotel when moving my kid in and out of her dorm at USF. It's a quick 5 minute drive to the school, but also it's a little ways back from the main road so it's quiet. There was no hot water for our room. 4 people to take showers and no hot water. Thankfully we got a small discount, but it was still cold.

Room clean but restroom tub clogged and all dirt was visible and tub also had peeled paint. ewwww

Absolutely mortifying experience! Room wasn’t cleaned after a medical stay. Left over medical patches and excretion everywhere. Very very dirty floor tiles to the point it was black. Pictures to show. Bathtub was full of water to the top with particles everywhere back up… couldn’t shower. Health hazards everywhere serious infection disease conditions

Just needs a few minor updates/paint jobs, but other than that, very satisfied with the stay! Would stay again

Property was very clean but needed some maintenance and mattress was worn out on one side, otherwise all good.

Very disappointed gave me a king bed with my teenage daughter I booked a double bed two queens very uncomfortable with this

I was pleasantly surprised! The layout was perfect, giving us and our toddler our own space for sleeping. The room was spacious and clean.

Paid Expedia in advance for my room (124). Then was billed again for room plus deposit upon arrival. They said last night it would be correct, but still see no refund on my credit card. No warm water to shower. Juice ran out, it was filled, but then didn’t dispense juice after filling. Coffee container was empty.

Vent was super dusty and dirty and heater didn’t work. When showering no hot water. And toilet will move every time you would sit.

It was ha good stay. The only thing was that my door room was not in good condition, it looks like someone tried to force open the door and never was fixed. Besides that, it was clean, updated and the service was very good.

Was below standard of what I've come to expect from Holiday Inn Express. Beds were creaky and felt like they were falling apart. Shower was stocked with multiple Conditioners and no Shampoos. General cleanliness was below standard.

More than we expected

The hotel is fine, but the bathroom in the room was poor and the worst thing was that they never cleaned the room, no towels, no toilet paper, and they didn't pick up the trash. The maids never came in.

Our stay was great. Our daughter got the room for us because my wife had a full day of doctor appointments and we live over about 100 miles away. The hotel was close by and the staff was great.

Good experience. The room was very clean. The personal nice and helpful. Breakfast was good.

The beds were very comfortable! The rooms was nice and dark, very good for sleep. The pool was dirty but that may still be from recent storms. Staff was great! 15 minutes from Busch Gardens

The shower was miserable. Lukewarm. Hard faucet to figure out. The window coverings are not dark and there is a street light shining right in lighting up the room. In fairness I didn’t inform staff of anything to give an opportunity to correct because it was midnight and I was just too tired.

Great location & property.

I stayed here for 1 night. The check-in is 3:00. The rooms had not been cleaned yet. A few of us were waiting for rooms. Finally 5:00 we were able to get in the room. Not good. I will say when i got to the room was nice and clean.

We got our hotel room (414), immediately upon walking into the room there was a giant industrial blower, the room was very humid and smelled exactly like urine. We went downstairs & informed staff, this staff member moved us and said “I don’t know why he put you in there, it’s being worked on.” They had to switch us to a room with a King instead of two queens. There were multiple things we noticed about the property & room it’s just not worth the price you pay. The platform the bed sits on it’s smaller than the bed itself which was weird. One of the baseboards were falling off, mystery shower stains, not vacuumed floor, dusty ceiling fan, one of the lights wasn’t working and was rusted, floors are cracked, one elevator which is pretty slow and has the third floor button falling out. Overall just a very dingy hotel! Close to USF, very quiet area though. Overall, I wish I would’ve picked somewhere else but we were there for less than 24 hours.

Didn't like anything about the hotel. It has an awful smell especially in the hallways and housekeeping wasnt done everyday

The breakfast staff should also keep available you shouldn't have to wait on food and was out of cinnamon rolls and pancake machine was not working..

Nice comfortable room for the price. Probably should have more towels available in the room. Bed was comfy, Ac was excellent.

It was a pleasant stay for a last minute schedule. The facilities were clean and modern and the staff was very professional
