It was a great place . Highly recommend
- 5/5
The location was convenient and easy to find. Check in was quick even though I arrived after 10 pm. The room, linens, and bathroom were spotless and the lights were on when I opened the door. I would recommend this inn for a no-frills place close to ASU and the light rail and at a great price.
- 5/5
What really stood out was their honesty and customer service. After I checked out, I realized I had accidentally left my JBL Bluetooth speaker in the room. The staff actually called me to let me know they had found it and held onto it until I could come back and pick it up. That level of integrity and attention to guests is rare and greatly appreciated. Overall, this was a fantastic experience from start to finish. Clean rooms, great staff, and outstanding service. Highly recommended!

Great location

Good location, safe, from outside looks like a regular motel
- 5/5
This is the best place I’ve stayed in Tempe in 4 years. It is completely updated and cute. A quaint motel. Very clean and in the perfect location to ASU. Such good value for the money!
- 5/5
The room was very comfortable and clean. The location is very convenient to ASU. I was not aware of any amenities.
- 5/5
Judge this little book by its cover at your own peril!
- 5/5
The outside was very deceiving. The rooms were clean, new, and the beds were awesome. Tje girl who checked us in and out was very friendly. Great value and would stay there again. Outside needs a little TLC, but the rooms were very clean and love the decor.

Convenient
- 4/5
The staff was friendly, easy parking and air conditioning works. It is close to ASU and walking distance to the stadiums. Overall very nice!
- 5/5
The room and bathroom were clean. Staff was helpful and took care of me. Air conditioning was awesome! Located two blocks from campus.

Cute, updated, super economical rooms. Staff were so friendly! Walking distance to restaurants, bars, and lots of other entertainment

Noisy location right by busy street. No pool or hot tub. Really just a sketchy motel. Do not recommend
- 5/5
Clean rooms and friendly staff
- 4/5
Room and property were clean and location was great. No vending machines of any kind-ice or snacks-so get those before you check in. $3 fee if you don’t return the key card.

Property seemed to be nice upon arrival but I had bugs in my room on a daily and even found a bad stain on my covers. Was told that to compensate I could have a late check out which then turned into them saying I could not day of after I made plans to stay a bit longer….they went in and grabbed all my things out and I never received some of my jewelry and when I went back to get it out the room they told me I was trespassing and call the police. The worse place I have ever booked with Expedia and the owner is not professional she yelled at me that I’m privileged as if I wasn’t a paying customers… all in all your better off booking with the motel 6 or even spending a bit more to stay at a more professional and clean establishment.

Air conditioning good. King sized bed wonderful. The NOISE was atrocious w/bell sounding every 10 mins for rail bus!!!! Sirens alarmingly loud as was drag racers. NO sleep 1st night due to all this. Second night a few hours of sleep. IF stayed there again would ask for ear plugs & to be put in farthest back room too🙏
- 4/5
Room was clean and comfortable.
- 5/5
Very nice front staff. Street is noisy during the day but quiets down at night. Room is clean. Decent bed. For the price it’s a good value. Best part for me is right across the street from ASU.
- 5/5
All good
- 4/5
Room was very nice - very updated. Only problem I encountered was that there were gnats/fruit flies in the room - really annoying.
- 4.5/5
Staying at the University Inn & Suites during our visit to ASU was a great experience for me and my teenagers. We booked two King rooms, the space was cozy, clean and tidy. Since we spent most of our days exploring the university and the surrounding area, the compact size was not an issue, the rooms served as the perfect, comfortable spot to recharge after a long day. The hotel is perfect location. It is very close to the ASU campus, local shops, hiking trails, and public transportation. The team was incredibly nice and accommodating. We arrived in the early morning, well before the official check-in time, and they allowed us to store our belongings at the office until our rooms were ready. Because of the central location, you can hear some noise at night from passing vehicles and people on the street. If you are a light sleeper, you might want to bring earplugs.
- 4/5
It’s an older place but the bed was very comfortable and the AC kept my room at a perfect temperature. Close to Mill Ave and Arizona State as I was visiting family. Convenient and close walking distance to anything I needed

Clean and predictable spot that I’ve stayed at many times. Walking distance to food, bars and ASU. 15 minutes from PHX Sky Harbor airport.
- 5/5
AC works great, shower was nice and beds were comfy
- 5/5
Clean and nice, close to all I need.
- 5/5
Overall no complaints!
- 4/5
Loved the area. Morning and afternoon management were great. Overnight manager Karen called my room at 11pm at night and woke me up with a terrible attitude demanding I show her proof I paid for extra parking. The area was great lots to do and everything was within walking distance.
- 5/5
The room was one of the cleanest hotel rooms I've ever stayed in. The AC was ice cold. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Parking was easy.

Great location- remodeled rooms
- 5/5
Older hotel but the rooms and bathrooms were well-maintained. Convenient location near ASU, restaurants, and public transit.
- 3/5
This is an older facility that has recently been meticulously renovated and professionally decorated . The bathroom has all new tile, modern fixtures, a nice walk-in showers with a wonderful waterfall shower head. The lighting in the bathroom is not very good. Tlhere is a nice bright light in the shower but it backlights you when you look in the mirror. The mirror has florescent light; around the rim of the mirror but it doesn't do very well. My issues were with the electrical system. There was literally one two pronged outlet available. Nothing near the bed. You have to unplug the refrigerator to use the coffee maker and the cord for the coffee maker is so short, you have to put it on the floor to use it. We stayed two nights and the room can be cleaned on request but if you donuts request then you have only two coffee pouches to use both days. Same with towels. Only two bath towels. I certainly have no problem having $100 charged to my card for "incidentals" like minibar, snacks etc. but there NO INCIDENTALS in the room Closing on a good note, the bed is so comfortable!
- 5/5
The staff was the best!! Water pressure and temperature were great. Small. Limited parking, probably less spaces than rooms so if everyone is driving a vehicle it becomes a problem. It's two story with no elevator. No breakfast no pool no working out. It's as basic as it can get I'd say amenities are on par with a motel 6 but the prices for a room are comparable to a Marriott.

Bed was nice and soft, pillows were good. Only drawback was the old wall mounted A/C unit was a bit loud.
- 5/5
Stayed 4 days. Great place. Great staff, room was great. Definitely stay there again!!
- 5/5
Excellent location and nicely remodeled. Bed was very comfortable.

Yes
- 3/5
For the price they charge I like something more than a Motel 6.
- 4/5
Great location for downtown, but pretty noisy at night and early morning as it is right off a Main Street.
- 3/5
Water faucet periodically drained all evening/over night. AC worked but very loud when it would start back up. Overall would not stay here again. Better amenities elsewhere for same price.
- 5/5
The staff was friendly and helpful. The room was clean and comfortable. Great stay!
- 3/5
Comfortable bed , wonderful staff BUT, parking is very tight, and the ambient noise of cars racing down the street and the light rail station was not great. If you’re a light sleeper I wouldn’t recommend this place. Room was clean. Amenities were good.
- 5/5
No complaints at all.
- 4/5
Yes
- 4/5
The staff was very personable. The rooms have been updated and were very clean. The location was perfect with our event and restaurants within walking distance.
- 5/5
I couldn’t have been more pleased by how comfortable I was at the Inn!! Also great location for convenience shopping
- 5/5
Riom was very compact but comfortable. Took Lyft to airport and left my car there for $15/day. Much better than parking closer to airport. Staff was super friendly - thank you Sarah! Highly recommended!
- 1/5
There was a rodent in my room! Disgusting and disturbing. It’s also a very very very loud hotel. I would’ve been better off sleeping in my car.
- 4/5
The room was very clean and comfortable, with easy check-in and out. My only downside was the noise from Mill Ave right next to my room. Traffic was quite loud all night.
- 5/5
clean nice room
- 5/5
Friendly staff, great location. Good stay!
- 3/5
The bed was comfortable. The parking access was great. Only negative is the coffee maker. There was nowhere to plug it in. No outlet. I had to make the coffee in the bathroom, holding it over the sink where the outlet was.
- 5/5
The rooms were clean and the staff was very courteous, and ample parking.
- 5/5
Room was spotless, very clean and felt clean. Prime location close to restaurants & bars, grocery and convenience stores. Staff were friendly and courteous. Recommend and would stay again.
- 5/5
Loved it! Super cute. Fully remodeled. Clean. Checked every box. Will absolutely stay again
- 5/5
Very clean, great location for those that utilize public transport. Check-in was incredibly easy and the room deposit was refunded prior to check-out (not sure if that was a mistake but it was a pleasant surprise!).
- 4/5
Had a great stay!
- 5/5
Very clean room, bed was very comfortable!! Great location to ASU and food.
- 5/5
Exceptional staff! I arrived late and Alyssa waited for me and helped me out!

Comfy bed. Great location handy to all the restaurants and bars along Mill St.
- 5/5
Great customer service, room was spotless and parking was convenient

Room was great, and the girl at check-in and check-out where very efficient.
- 5/5
Very clean room. Perfect for a place to lay our heads after the concert.
- 5/5
Alyssa, the staff member at my wife’s arrival at 1 o’clock in the morning was super nice and made my wife feel safe. Good job!
- 5/5
Very clean and updated
- 5/5
Room was super clean & comfortable. Staff was awesome.

Room was clean and everything was a par

Sarah at the front desk is always so helpful and kind. We have been staying here for the last 8 years. Room is impeccably clean and staff is amazing !
- 5/5
Clean and quiet. Bed was very comfortable.
- 4/5
everything was good
- 5/5
This place is a gem. It's a perfect location. The rooms are remodeled and modern, very clean. The staff is excellent. They stayed late for us to check-in. They stored our bags for us so we could enjoy Tempe for the day. I would highly recommend!
- 3/5
Clean etc but bed was really not comfortable…didn’t love the location either. Staff was great but I don’t think I’d go back 😞
- 4/5
The room was clean and exactly as advertised in the pictures. We had everything we needed while we were there.
- 5/5
The staff was amazing here! So friendly in helping us with getting locked out of room and any other requests we had. The rooms are very clean and so is the property. Even though it may not look the most appealing from the outside we will for sure be back to stay here because of the great price, parking and walk ability.
- 5/5
clean room, really good water pressure and heat
- 4/5
Great location. Clean rooms and a working refrigerator!
- 5/5
A very convenient place to stay if you are going to ASU events
- 4/5
Staff were super nice - check-in was a bit clunky but we were well taken care of and they couldn’t have been more helpful. The only thing was it was very noisy on Mill Ave until 3am when it finally calmed down - we were up at 6am so not a great nights sleep - but it was Friday night so maybe that’s normal
- 5/5
Great place to stay near ASU.
- 5/5
Clean and easy to get too!
- 5/5
Great location
- 3/5
Staff was very friendly and welcoming. Building was older and the rooms were small, but rooms were updated nicely and well maintained
- 4/5
The room is very clean. Staff is friendly. Property is old. It is right on the Main Street and there is much noice. Thank you for a pleasant staff.
- 5/5
Great
- 5/5
This is a fantastic and clean place to stay!!!!! Loves everything about the room! Staff was fast and easy to communicate with. Room was so clean and smelled great (not stuffy or dirty smell)!
- 2/5
It felt like a pretty cold "welcome", like I got caught sneaking in. I've never been asked for the ID of the person traveling with- again, like I was doing something wrong. Parking is odd,
- 5/5
Spotless, courteous
- 4/5
Stay was great. My only suggestion is to add curtains to the rooms. There are shutters, but a decent about of light still comes through them when closed.
- 5/5
Great location and good value. It’s an old motel but interiors are updated and very nice. The bathroom is small but completely updated. Shower is especially nice.
- 5/5
Friendly staff at check in and out. Room was clean and comfortable.
- 5/5
University Inn provided my son and I with the perfect place to stay in the heart of ASU, while visiting my daughter for Family Weekend. The room was modern, beautiful, and immaculate. The price point was very affordable. The staff were helpful and friendly. I will not hesitate to stay at University Inn again!
- 5/5
Hotel is always nice and clean, and the staff is friendly

Great place to stay
- 5/5
Great location! Very clean and nice staff.
- 5/5
The only downside is the office makes ALL visitors require ID at the front office upon check-in, so have it on hand. Photo ID must be within expiration. One of the greatest perks is that everything you need is within walking distance. There are an abundance stores, banks, food, entertainment, and accessible transit choices- the light rail, street car (located at the nearest corner), buses and rental e-scooters. And, if you want to see anyone or tour ASU, its very close to campus and on-campus housing. The general close proximity to west campus and Mill Ave- the area's food, entertainment, and nightlife hub- is great. It is one of the best spots you can stay at to tour campus, enjoy a musical, shop downtown Tempe, go out for a night of bar-hopping, or even rent a boat on the lake- while still having a quiet place to sleep at night. And a very welcome surprise is their late check out policy, which allows you to extend your check out as long as you want/need, at only $10/hr... which is great for mid-day flights or late sleepers.
- 5/5
Love the hotel. Love the design on the wall.
- 5/5
Nice accommodations, would book again
- 1/5
I felt completely disrespected and unsafe. No guest should ever be treated this way. I strongly do not recommend staying here—there are plenty of other places in Tempe where you’ll be treated fairly and actually get the rest and comfort you’re paying for.
- 5/5
Comfortanlble
- 5/5
Walking distance to everything we wanted to do.
- 4/5
The lady at check was very helpful
- 5/5
Great location and great price. Super chill vibe
- 5/5
Close to the Campus.
- 5/5
Great location Good internet service
- 5/5
Everything was perfect! Location, room was neat, and the staff was so great!
- 3/5
Good
- 5/5
Great Place to Stay for a night. I like that it’s walkable area .
- 1/5
The pictures didn’t match the property, I reserved a suite and got a one room with a closet space for a pull out couch. When I told the front desk clerk he became rude and refused to call the manager after I requested to speak with him. They are refusing to give me a refund and I had to book a different hotel. I would not recommend this place to anyone
- 5/5
A great motel option if you’re just looking for a simple nice room in the middle of Tempe.
- 5/5
quiet. The rate was excellent for Tempe even in the middle of July. I would stay at this property again when visiting Tempe.
- 5/5
The staff was prompt and wonderful. Perfect for our visit. Will definitely consider booking again for future events in the area.
- 5/5
A friendly staff, rooms are so cozy and comfortable. Beds are firm and soft.
- 5/5
Clean rooms. Great staff. I would definitely return.
- 4/5
Clean room, comfortable bed, and solid AC. Can't ask for much more honestly. Close to a 24 hour CVS and lots of food options nearby. Solid stay.
- 5/5
It was a clean decent stay.
- 5/5
Nice little motel! Very affordable for the location. It was clearly recently renovated. The staff was very nice. I will definitely stay again whenever I'm in the area.
- 5/5
great customer service
- 5/5
I would definitely recommend staying here if you’re in Tempe especially spending a night on Mill Ave, nice clean modern spacious rooms , perfect location, friendly staff!
- 5/5
No ice machine, but other than that, it was great
- 5/5
It was nice, quiet, comfortable.
- 4/5
It was good.....
- 5/5
College girl who worked there was great, clean and in a great spot
- 5/5
Just stayed for a quick overnight to attend a show at Gammage. Very close, and walkable to restaurants for dinner and breakfast. Clean and comfortable.
- 5/5
Nice, clean property, with modern decor, walking distance from Casey Moore’s and Mill Ave/University shops. Will stay again.
- 5/5
Always enjoyed staying here while visiting our kid at ASU.
- 5/5
Was great and comfortable

- 4/5
Very cute room and clean! Wish there were blackout curtains instead of shutters considering a street light was right outside my window. Otherwise, it was a very pleasant stay.
- 5/5
one minor cons. Traffic noise. One a main street. Maybe one of the rooms near the back of the building would be better.
- 5/5
Great
- 5/5
Great customer service!
- 5/5
Great remodel and comfort
- 5/5
Amazing!
- 1/5
Scary old building...built in the 60's...scary area...transients...refused to stay here...cant get a refund.
- 5/5
The bed was very comfortable! Loved being in the heart of Tempe and close to so many great restaurants and shops!
- 5/5
The staff are friendly. Mill Avenue is a busy street but I didnt mind the traffic. Rooms are comfy and clean! Renovated. AC is perfect. Room has a small fridge but no microwave. Nice cable stations. Close vicinity to dine and shop. I stayed five nights here. Rooms were cleaned each day. Price was reasonable. I would definitely stay here again.
- 5/5
This hotel located close to the asu campus and mill street which makes if very convient. The rooms have been redone nicely, bed comfortable and room clean. It is a good value for a night.
- 5/5
The staff was fantastic. The hotel is well kept. It's small and cute. Parking is very tight, which makes sense given the location. And there is considerable road noise, but there's nothing a hotel can do about that. It is terrifically located in a bustling area.
- 5/5
All is great, except room on University lots of late night loud racing cars noise, will choose room not on the actual street, but it is to be expected, I just wasn’t thinking about it 😂
- 5/5
The property was clean and modern inside and walkable distance from ASU.
- 4/5
Everything was good, only wish mattress was firm, very soft and sunken, couldn’t sleep much despite kept switching positions and to different spots of mattress.
- 5/5
Great stay !
- 4/5
For motel style pretty cool for right downtown and the price was right
- 1/5
First from they put me in had a mattress that should have been thrown out 6 years ago. This thing was so far beyond worn it was like sleeping in an inner tube. Then they put me in a second room in which the electricity didn't work near the bed so I was unable to use my sleep machine. Kind of a noisy location as well
- 4/5
Good location near ASU
- 5/5
Nice sized clean comfortable rooms. Convenient location, walking distance to food. Friendly, easy check in.
- 5/5
Quaint and well kept.
- 4/5
Everything was perfect about the trip however I got a phone call at 11 PM about moving my car and I was trying to enjoy the music festival I was attending, but other than that everything else is good.
- 5/5
Very good place and not far from downtown Mill Ave.
- 2/5
It’s misleading I believe I was getting a more modern room with more space when we walked in. It was so small. The door hit the bathroom door coming in. It’s only open halfway. The room looks like a jail cell. The only thing nice about it. Was the very tiny updated bathroom… will not be back.
- 5/5
The bed was wonderful. The staff were friendly and informative.
- 4/5
Well maintained, lighting could be a little better, no microwave, but overall a good experience.
- 5/5
Also, the location can't be beat--walk to all kinds of food options, shops, ASU. The price is fair. A win.
- 5/5
Front desk was helpful and sweet! Great room super cute and updated.
- 4/5
Good price for what you are getting

- 4/5
Good location near ASU, clean and comfortable room.
- 3/5
It is close to the University and a lot of students around the area.
- 5/5
Staff was great and courteous
- 5/5
Not for a family. Ok before the weekend, but not Friday through Sunday. The room is very clean and kind of up to date on some items. Would like to have had a 4K tv versus 720p, but that’s a whole different issue. Over all, this place gets a 5 star. Friendly and informative, clean very clean. The area is not the best, but it’s not the worst either.
- 5/5
Great place. This was perfect for my quick stay.
- 5/5
The staff is amazing! The rooms are clean, comfortable and updated. Convinient parking and centrally located.
- 5/5
Very happy with stay. Clean room and close to nearby restaurants. Friendly staff. Would stay here again while visiting Tempe AZ!
- 5/5
Awesome clean hotel, would totally recommend!!
- 5/5
Extremely convenient and clean property. Clearly renovated recently.
- 5/5
Nice place!
- 5/5
Sweet little hotel near ASU! Very kind staff. Would definitely stay there again.
- 5/5
The stuff was very friendly. The rooms were clean. It's in a great location.
- 5/5
Loved the room ss it was nicely decorated. Staff were amazing. Could walk to shops... dining and gricery store
- 5/5
The stay was great and Jennifer at the front desk was super helpful.
- 5/5
The customer service was top notch! I called regarding early check in and late out because of the Innings festival. They were accommodating and front desk was very helpful when I arrived after a long drive. There were stores and restaurants near by and the festival was 15 mins away walking. Highly recommend.
- 1/5
Property was not in a safe location. Alarms on the door so you would know if someone was breaking in. Prostitures on the corner. No one their to check you out in the morning.
- 3/5
This motel is conveniently located, clean, and reasonably priced. It’s been renovated recently, but is pretty bare bones and a bit noisy because of the location on a main road through ASU. It’s nit picking, but combined shampoo/conditioner is an oxymoron. Spend a dollar and provide both separately. And, wooden shutters let in a lot of light at night. Again, no serious complaints, but nothing to get excited about.
- 5/5
Our flight got delayed 4 hours and after communicating with the staff, they ensured someone would be there for us to check in when we finally arrived at 3:30am. They were so kind and accommodating!
- 3/5
The grounds and room were very clean. Staff was great.
- 5/5
The staff was quite friendly and very helpful and the bed felt incredible.
- 4/5
Appearance of hotel on the outside wasn't at all what the rooms look like. Rooms are updated and just perfect for the overnight that we were looking for. Close to airport and great value. The woman working at the front desk is great. Made us feel right at home and happy to be there. Thank you! It is on a busy street...not quiet during the day but the evening was fine.
- 5/5
Went for my birthday and it was the best time
- 5/5
Very cozy and clean
- 4/5
Parking cost at $15 is terrible
- 5/5
GREAT location close to university and shops. clean.
- 5/5
Not a fancy place but parking included and walking distance to lots of places.
- 4/5
Staff was helpful. Room was clean and recently remodeled. Bathroom had limited counter space and road noise was more than expected. Over all would stay there again.
- 5/5
Rooms.newwly renovated was pleasantly suprised
