I was booked incorrectly for the wrong date.. Hotels.com system erroneously booked me for a week later than when I selected.. Both Hotels.com and the hotel refused to give my money back... Never book with either service.. They are so money hungry they will charge you even if the error has nothing to do with you... Both are totally money hungry... Period..

We were there for two days and no maid service the second day. Not a big deal, but we weren’t expecting that. Overall not bad. We just needed a place to stay at night, so it worked. They are refurbishing the hotel, our room looked nice.

Now the downgrade in stars ... The toilet clogged with no one using it. We came in the night before, bathroom was fine. The next morning, the toilet didn't flush. Nothing in it, just clogged lines. No maintenance, just the front desk guy giving us a plunger to use. Ok, job done. * It's not noise controlled. Not that we had noisy neighbors, just that we heard all the movement and early in the morning when the guys need to leave for military duties, you're going to hear all their movement. * Most notable is a plastic bag around the smoke detector. We saw it upon waking, the morning we checked out. No one to report to. No maintenance as noted, housekeeping was somewhere, but couldn't find them and as we were leaving the front desk guy was walking upstairs. Not in the mood to go after him.

The King "Suite" was smaller than I thought it would be. It was nice they gave me a free Tide pod for my laundry. The pool was small. It's a tight fit property due to being so close to ASU. The maid gave excellent service and the front desk was friendly. Breakfast was an added bonus.

A/C didn’t work very well the first night we were moved to a room across the hall with no issues or complaints from management. Very loud people in the room next to us. 2am we called front seat all they said they could do was give them a call.

The room was laughably tiny, the best barly held two people and the pillows were small cubes, not full size. There is no counter in the bathrooom, The room had carpet stains and tears. The night stand had a gooey mess on it. Hotel was very loud and had a hard time sleeping without being woken up. There was no front desk staff you had to check in with an off shore agent over a kiosk. I would never come back to this hotel or recommend it.
- 3/5
If you need luxury, new carpets, a real workout room, or anything more than a bed, this isn’t for you. I was disappointed that the breakfast was visibly burnt, fruit wasn’t close to ripe, and it was really limited in condiments like ketchup.
- 4/5
Pool wasn’t maintained
- 3/5
Breakfast was decent but the lighting in the bathroom was terrible for doing makeup. Front desk made me go in to sign in since reservation was in my name instead of my husband. We have stayed at other La Quinta hotels numerous times and he had always been able to check us in. New policy???

They ran our of eggs, mini sausages, orange juice, and waffle batter. Guest were standing aroung waiting for someone to come up and restock. Some guest left, you could hear them bad mouthing management, "Lets just go to McDonald's" F this place. Dont thing some of us will go back to this property.

I had requested a 1 bed handicap accessible room cause usually they are a little roomier due to ADA regulations but although clean was very cramped. The mini fridge that was plugged in had a tray full of water I'm guessing from defrosting and there was an extra mini fridge just sitting in the entry way not plugged in so I'm not sure what its purpose was exactly. The bathroom had a transfer shower with a fold down seat and adjustable hand held shower head but no shower curtain which would have been ok if they had a drain for the water that escaped but they didn't so I had to use a couple towels to clean up the water that ran out the bathroom into the entry area. In the morning they offered a decent breakfast with scrambled eggs, hash browns, a waffle iron, and muffins or bagels. The pool looked nice and refreshing but unfortunately I didn't have a chance to swim.

Nothing, it took over an hour to check in on some type of internet receptionist person... Whom didn't speak good English at all... Took so long that we just had to leave... Never have it ever taking over an hour to check in... This was a horrible experience... I will never stay at another La Quinta ever again just because of it... Whole chicken procedure took over an hour.... In which we were never able to check in because whoever was on the other side of the computer didn't know what the hell they were doing...

Parking adequate. AC eorkrf. Biggest disappointment was safety lock on door was missing.

My friend and I were ready to be disappointed because we looked up pictures on the way there, but it was nice and pretty in person. In fact, the stay was excellent. The rooms were clean, and comfortable. The WiFi worked very well for my Zoom interview. The shower was amazing. It was honestly all so great. The neighborhood is close to ASU and all the nice restaurants and bars ($6 Lyft to Mill Ave).
- 3/5
No microwave fridge was old and tried to check in 30 min before 3 and was told I had to pay $25. I asked if their were rooms ready and they still wanted 25 extra Breakfast was less than average and some noise kept me up all night

Breakfast was ok. Very close to ASU which was nice. Nice to have a pool.
- 4/5
Pool space was limited. But my lil people still had a good time
- 5/5
The team member who greeted me at check-in (which I had pre-completed) was so kind, and this really helped expedite my process since I was on a time crunch that evening. The size of my room was so cozy and accessible, and everything functioned perfectly. The fitness center, breakfast, and pool were all great, and I'm glad I was able to squeeze in a chance to utilize all of them before my checkout the next morning. The stairs were so conveniently positioned next to my room / most of the room too – lots of natural sunlight, so I felt comfortable entering and exiting the building throughout the day!
- 2/5
Queen rooms also extremely small and baseboards peeling in all rooms, including my buddies rooms , who stayed in king & suite rooms. Changed to king room and was charged almost $600 more ! Ridiculous amount , even during Spring Training season.

Close to my daughter … free breakfast … friendly staff The window coverings were broke. We put in a request to fix and it never got done. The phone in our room didn’t work. The fridge froze all our drinks … breakfast selection wasn’t great and was gone by 8!

I liked nothing. This place is so run down and not kept up for the amount it charged. I cant even believe that Wyndham has their name attached to this place. I have stayed in Wyndhams before and thought that the name being associated would yield a pleasant experience. Unfortunately, I was wrong. I cant imagine that Wyndham would not keep an eye on properties using their name.

Clean and location The noise from the traffic was so loud. We got very little sleep. 3rd floor facing one of the main streets.

This room was large and comfortable and very clean. After pricing all the hotels around here it was the best deal. We loved the retro touches of a dial coin phone in the hallway and a small retro refrigerator in the room. Check in very late at night was easy and friendly via a video FaceTime with the registration desk Not having a closet is OK, but I wish we had a few hangers for the hanger bar

It was actually so bad we checked into the room, walked into the room, experienced three things and decided we would not spend the night there. We turned around and walked back out could not get a refund and left without staying. So we paid for a night that we didn’t actually stay at because the circumstances were so bad. The bed was rock hard. The pillows were extremely small and odd. All of them sounded like little plastic encased beanbags. The TV turned on and was locked onto a Spanish channel and we could not change channels with the remote so there was no television to watch all along a fire. Alarm was going off in the hallway, no apparent fire and we just decided we would not get a good night sleep and we would not stay. There were two refrigerators in the room one was just randomly plugged into the corner with the cord stretched across the room very strange.

Staff was helpful and always available. It's a clean, basic option if you can't stay downtown Tempe with the convenient bus route #30 to get you downtown in minutes. However, we were in town for an event so the hotel substantially overcharged us for what it was worth. Hotel has laundry service, which we needed, but did not have a coin machine for quarters, which was frustrating.

It was easy to find The staff wasn’t helpful, found it rude before they answered my question saying no automatically and the manager is gone?! Like it’s trained for them automatically to say no to you even on simple questions! I couldn’t wait to finish my stay and leave

There was a new mini-fridge in my room and for some reason they decided to leave the old one in the room as well sitting off to the side. The bath towels still had a damp feel to them, I sure sure hope it's because they just didn't dry them all the way. And the apple at the the breakfast counter was completely brown and mushy when I bit into it. I did better at my roadside motel the next night.

Good: Staff was wonderful. Very friendly, courteous, and responsive. Room was very clean. Bad: Had a small fridge that didn't keep food cold. No microwave. Next to a busy road. "Fitness center" had a treadmill and a Peleton...that's it! Not much of a fitness center. Small pool is by the front door and close to noisy, busy road...not very relaxing nor private. Breakfast included lukewarm to cold scrambled eggs and sausage links, waffles, one cereal option, yogurt, bagels, white bread and small, sugary muffins. Coffee wasn't good. Overall: It's good if you just want rest in a clean room, but the amenities are lacking if you want a few extra "niceties".

Breakfast was good. Unfortunately when I woke there was a dead roach at my door. It’s an older hotel that La Quinta took over. Some of the old hotel signs are still up.

Breakfast was mid at best, but hotel was clean and well kept. Bar was barely there as well

Clean hotel, comfortable room, very minimal breakfast. I was annoyed that the front desk wasn’t helpful in finding the luggage cart so I went on a scavenger hunt to locate it on the floors. Biggest complaint was the noise from the street at night. Being located next to ASU there’s a lot of loud cars racing down the street at night

I have stay at this location several times but this time I was somewhat disappointed. They normally have their bar/lounge open but this time they claimed that it was out of service. It is brand new so not sure if it was out of service or they just didn't want to serve anyone. Also, in the morning I went out for coffee in the breakfast lounge and the coffee machine was "Out of Order". I'm not sure but everything was in great working order before they sold out to the Wyndham Corp.!!!!!!!

The hotel was quiet and clean. Glad I chose this location because it was close to the events i needed to attend. My room was very spacious and clean and I loved the bathroom. Hotel staff was very friendly and courteous as well.
- 5/5
Staff greeted me with a smile open arms and treated me like I was one of the family you guys are some of the best hospitality around and I will recommend my friends to come stay at your facility
- 1/5
Nastiest hotel ever: unsafe location. Would not recommend
- 4/5
Breakfast was not great! One day there was no egg. Another day the waffle maker non-functioning and other day the banana was not good condition.
- 5/5
Very comfortable!! Darked out rooms were the best
- 5/5
Beds were nice and comfortable breakfast options were limited but great! the young staff were super-nice! Need more eggs in the morning though laugh out loud yeah make sure to get breakfast early or else no eggs haha

The staff was not helpful in trying to find a solution when I was injured two times by knocking my shin into the bedframe. The bedframe extended about five to six inches away from the mattress and was a hazard in the dark of night, or simply moving at all as the walkway between the bed and dresser was very narrow. My wife went to the front desk to retrieve a band aid after I was left bleeding from the second instance of knocking my shin. When trying to find a solution with the front desk to try and avoid future injuries, they responded with "well try and not kick it". It was then that we realized that there was not a solution to be had as the staff was unwilling to address the injury and insure my safety for the duration of the stay. We checked out minutes later. I do not recommend this hotel.

Nice place to stay.

Very nice stay
- 3/5
Need improve breakfast like include more choices in the menu
- 5/5
Benefit of breakfast and parking included.
- 5/5
actually had a good stay! room was better than expected, clean, good shower, and comfy. breakfast was not many options but as long the waffle maker was there, i was satisfied!! front desk was good service, only wish the front doors were automatic or could be propped open for bringing suitcases in but honestly good stay.

Nice pretty if i got a chance i will come back

When we first got into our room, my sons and I noticed in multiple spots on the wall someone smeared snot/boogers that wasn’t cleaned up. I ended up cleaning it up. Housekeeping should have easily seen it!
- 4/5
Other than that, it was a good night sleep and clean room.
- 3/5
Was okay for a night
- 5/5
Everything was great
- 5/5
The staff during the day and in the evening was courteous and very helpful.
- 3/5
Breakfast was very limited, nothing much but waffles, muffins, bread, fruit. No eggs or meat or potatoes. Everything was extremely basic. Not worth the price. I will say that the staff was very friendly and that I appreciated the kindness very much. Hats off to the staff.
- 3/5
Our room was on the second floor. For some reason, our room and the entire floor felt humid. The AC didn't really balance that out. I never saw the same person behind the front desk. This caused confusion with regards to payment. One person would tell me something and then the result never took place. Because I never saw the same employee, I had no idea who to ask. If you're coming to visiting an ASU student or to tour the campus, the location is convenient. Breakfast is basic, but there's free coffee.
- 4/5
It was perfect for college graduation
- 3/5
Property is clean, bed was the most comfortable bed I have ever experienced at a hotel for the positives. Now for the cons. For a Wyndham hotel I expected more. It looked like it was still under construction, and the rooms were kind of bare.
- 5/5
Overall a good experience
- 5/5
Excellent business that obviously goes above and beyond for their guests. I could not have asked anything more. Highly recommended.
- 5/5
Amazing property and staff! This is a very nice place to stay.
- 3/5
Overall the property was very clean and the rooms nicely appointed. Good location to ASU and various eateries actually within walking distance. Room temp control good though rather noisy. Amenities were so-so. Bathroom soaps, etc. were Dove. Paper bathroom supplies were the worst I've experienced in a long time. Some covered hangout area would have been nice. Lumpy mattress.
- 2/5
The hotel looked much nicer in the photos than it actually is, which was a little disappointing. The bathroom door did not close, there were spots on the door and floor, etc. The toiletries were at the bare minimum. You could also hear the noise from outside, on the street and in the hallway.
- 3/5
The front desk clerk charged me $145 for the room. The amount quoted online was $127. When I asked about the difference, she indicated it was a deposit and would be refunded. That has not taken place. Not sure what that was for, but it seems like a scam.
- 5/5
No other comments to add. Expedia should pay people for reviews Instead of requesting free labour.
- 5/5
Cute boutique hotel with a fun vibe. Clean and surrounded by a good restaurant (Salut) and some quick meals too(Noodles and Subway) plus Chompie's is a short walk. Best is the Four Peaks Brewery around the corner and a coffee/tea shop next to the Brewery. Hotel staff very friendly. I walked to the AZU stadium, just over a mile, for a conference. Easy walk.
- 4/5
Front desk personnel were very helpful and friendly. Room was spacious and location was awesome for the Rock N Roll Half Marathon. I just walked to the start line in the morning. Also being located so close to a cool coffee shop (Infusion) and brewery (Four Peaks) was a big plus. Just have to walk about two blocks. Called down to the front desk two nights in a row from the hotel phone to get a wake up call and got no answer was about my only complaint.
- 5/5
Alot of noise and movement throughout the night, walls seem very thin. Other then that, would definitely stay again.
- 3/5
This place is awesome! It’s clean and has what I need for my business trips. Staff has always been great.
- 5/5
Only thing I did not like is we flew in for graduation at Asu and there were no closets to hang our dress clothes. Definitely a deal breaker when we go back for Masters degree ceremony. Also no cream for coffee. Everything else was great. Employees all very friendly and very helpful. Thanks again.
- 4/5
As for the bed frames. Don’t know how many times we hit the corners with our legs as the frame protruded out. In the fridge of one room, a styrofoam container with food was found from the previous occupant, we assume. Overall, a nice place to stay.
- 5/5
The hotel was totally great!! Their coffee was not my taste but otherwise they get a 10/10
- 5/5
Very clean with updates
- 4/5
When traveling through, will stay here again. One item that needs correcting is there is no place to hang cloths in the room. Invest in free standing clothes rack if nothing else.
- 5/5
Nice and safe location in ASU.
- 4/5
We were in a room on the side, it was a bit noisy at night. I like window shade that block all the night though.
- 5/5
Although the hotel offers no breakfast, coffee is available in the lobby. Rooms are clean and extra towels are a plus. The room is a bit dim at night with limited lighting. Room does not have closet with hangers, so drawers must be used. Overall, a good hotel with a good location.
- 4/5
Great remodeled property very good for business visitors
- 3/5
Hotel was okay.nothing special. The room has no closet. It is so small of a room that numerous times while moving in the room we kept hitting our shins due to the over size bed frame.Traffic noise is loud. The snack cooler had over3 week old chips. The wine was over priced and wasnt very good .Dont know if wine is stored correctly.
- 5/5
Staff is very friendly, hotel is clean and location was close to everything I needed. Only downside was that it was very bright and lots of road noise. Blackout curtains helped, but still alot of light coming into the room from the hallway (through cracks in the door). Room was very clean and large. Air conditioner sounded like a lawn mower driving through the room during the night but I ended up turning it off and opening the window, which probably contributed to the traffic noise. It was still a great stay and I recommend this hotel.
- 4/5
Good location at a reasonable price.
- 4/5
This hotel is a charming hotel very well located to ASU.
- 5/5
Convenient and in a gret location for the University and Tempe in general.
- 5/5
Convenient near University and Tempe attractions. Parking
- 5/5
Newly renovated rooms were very comfortable. Front desk receptionists were very friendly and welcoming.
- 5/5
Very lovely boutique hotel, room was comfortable other than being by the elevator & ice maker which woke me often. No extras at all, the one, coffee in the lobby was very watered down & no cream or sugar just pre packed option. Would recommend for quick over night but nothing more.
- 3/5
While the hotel was pleasant, updated, and convenient, the staff is in need of training. Customer service and knowledge of the area is seriously lacking. Upon arriving, I asked about dining options in the area and was told there wasn’t much and to go closer to Phoenix. After Ubering back and forth, I saw there was a restaurant adjacent to the hotel which looked pleasant. The bar is overpriced for the price point of the hotel. $9 for a small glass of wine is ridiculous at a hotel that charges $87 a night. Milk or creamer with morning coffee would be appreciated. There was none. And when asked for some, a mostly empty hazelnut creamer was offered as the only option. The pool was not usable although there was no signage to this effect. While sitting poolside, the maintenance worker peaked through the fencing and said he went on vacation and no one cared for the pool while he was gone. While trying to sit outside to get some sun, he walked around the periphery throwing chemicals into it, until I finally had to leave due to the harsh smells.
- 5/5
Small place seems unassuming but very vlean comfortable and beautiful stay
- 4/5
The Tempest is a newly renovated hotel. In general it was very comfortable. I had to switch rooms at first because the air conditioning wasn’t working well in original room. They promptly moved me into another room and it was very comfortable. The only other issue I had was with the pillows- too big. I always try and bring my own pillow, so that solves the problem.
- 5/5
Great staff, clean, small lobby, no kids amenities,
- 2/5
no pool, no water one day, rooms not cleaned daily without request,
- 3/5
There was no fridge or microwave in our room as advertised. No pay TV or extra special cable channels. The pool was out of service. Breakfast was very scarce everyday.
- 4/5
No issues.
- 4/5
Stayed there on a motorcycle trip. Its actually my second time. Its not fancy but its clean and comfortable. The staff was helpful and willing to answer any questions I had,
- 5/5
room was tidy. staff was helpful. easy to find hotel
- 4/5
We came to Az for Monster Mash Festival. We wanted a hotel close to the venue as well as other interests. The staff were very friendly and accommodated us every step of the way. They offered free shuttle to and from the airport. Breakfast consisted of a couple of hot options, as well as fruit and cereal. It seems it's an older hotel, but the room was good sized and clean, and wifi was free and reliable. We would definitely stay here again.
- 5/5
Great area. Try the noodle place across the street.
- 4/5
- 2/5
The air conditioning in the hallways and elevators is permanently off!! Cheap owners. The pool was empty and supposedly closed for repairs although we were there for a week and saw no work.
- 4/5
Nice property
- 3/5
Came for parents week at ASU. Cost alit in cab fair but overall it was fibe
- 3/5
I had no hot water in the shower despite there being hot water in the sink. That's a big mark down on points for me. BIG. The sink area had very little counter space and the toilet made a loud, high-pitched sound when flushed. The bed was comfortable and the AC worked well. The iron was old and the hot surface a little sticky. I was able to get the road wrinkles out of my shirt though. For the price however, it was ok.
- 3/5
The staff at the hotel were wonderful. You were close to everything. My only complaint is the pool area was a bit shabby. The surface of pool needs to be painted and they need to put out some umbrellas around the pool for shade.
- 2/5
my wife couldn't handle it. A bit dirty and outdated. Moved to Hampton Inn after one nite.
- 4/5
clean, comfy, quiet room, good breakfast, very friendly staff, fair price in a nice and safe neighborhood... airport shuttle is on demand, so call in advance if you need to be picked up at the airport (forgot to do so and had to wait for 30 minutes...)
- 2/5
Close to ASU so perfect if you want a low cost option while spending time with your kid when they go to ASU. Rooms are very basic. Breakfast was waffles, scrambled eggs and sausage for hot food and cereal and muffins for cold selections. It was actually more than I expected at this price point. If you want luxury this is not the place but if you are just here to sleep I found it more than adequate for the price.
- 4/5
had a room on the University street side of hotel. next time will ask for a room in the back. Great stay will stay again
- 5/5
The location is good. Close to Tempe Marketplace and ASU. The staff was polite, however the night crew was a bit loud. My room was close to the check in lobby and I was awakenawaken at 230 am by the laughter and discussion of the night crew. The AC in my room would not kick on so it was a bit warm at night. The free breakfast was good and the area was clean. Overall, the stay was great. I will come back to this place but just request a second level floor room.
- 5/5
The Hotel was Great !! The location could not have been any better to suit our needs and to where we had to be. Very convenient and close to restaurants and the college.
- 3/5
The receptions was nice. The lobby had an odor and was not cool. The beds were comfortable. I thought the price was OK not great, I have stayed in much nicer hotels in California for the same price.
- 5/5
The staff were very friendly and helpful. The owners son came to work an 90 minutes early on Saturday morning to take us to the airport at 5:30. That says it all for me.
- 4/5
Great location and inexpensive. It did the trick...by no means a luxury hotel, but it checked all of the boxes for us.
- 3/5
Friendly staff , The beds were very comfy , very welcoming
- 5/5
It was a wonderful stay in a perfect neighborhood for us. Places to eat and drink in walking distance.A very nice river walk close by in walking distance. We had a great time.
- 2/5
Room decor very old and worn, but seemed clean enough. I was asked which floor I wanted and i had no preference, but I would have had a preference not to stay on the floor with the visiting ND St. athletic team if given that information, made for a fairly loud evening. All in all, the money saved wasn't worth the poor service provided. Lastly, breakfast was not good at all...
- 4/5
Booked this hotel for price/proximity to a music festival at Tempe Beach Park. For just a place to stay, it met all our needs! Was able to check in an hour early so that we could head straight to the beach park. MOST IMPORTANTLY: Four Peaks Brewery is a five minute walk away.
- 1/5
I booked this hotel because it says it has an airport shuttle. I was told when arriving my son's flight was too early for him to get the shuttle. This was a big inconvenience. The rooms were basic with only the overhead light, no lamp. There were tiny towels and the pillows were lumpy. The bathroom was clean..ish with someone else's hairs left behind. The pool is said to be heated but isn't. The breakfast, seriously basic. For the price this was not ok at all.
- 4/5
The hotel is an a nice part of Tempe. There's plenty of shopping and restaurants within a five minute drive. I'd stay again.
- 4/5
Check in was easy. Room was neat, clean and organized. Couldn't figure out what a few of the light switches in the room actually did, but all the lights worked and there were no other problems. Ample parking. Convenient location to Phoenix, Mesa, Tempe, and airport. Very centrally located. I'd visit again.
- 2/5
Was awake ALL night thanks to the endless road noise. May have done as well trying to sleep on the bus bench on the sidewalk right outside my room window.
- 2/5
Tired of eating muffins and granola bars! They need a continental breakfast served here since its called Extended Stay
- 5/5
Very good hotel close to airport. Wonderful shuttle driver. Door to door service
- 5/5
I enjoyed my stay alot! Hotel was great and I will definitely be back. Not too far from lightrail so it was nice.
- 3/5
They offered service to/from the airport that is why we stayed there. But they had more excuses that we finally took a cab.
- 3/5
The room was exceptionally clean and the bed was comfy. It was perfect for a quick visit to ASU.
- 5/5
This walls allowed me to hear conversation of Super Bowl Fans. However, bathroom fan and ventilation fan allowed me to cover the noise so it was not apparent at night.
- 4/5
It's an ok hotel .. Lobby looks a little scary but rooms are nice
- 4/5
We just needed a quick safe place to stay and booked late, so knew the pricing was going to be high for an average hotel. Our expectations were low, but were very pleased with the condition of the hotel and room. All the staff was very nice and accommodating. The hotel was amazingly quiet considering the weekend of activities. Our ride back to the Airport was appreciated and timely. Would definitely stay again if I was visiting a child going to ASU as it is close to everything.
- 4/5
The staff were helpful, super friendly and polite. Shuttle to airport was convenient. Don't expect pick up or drop off location flexibility from shuttle. Breakfast was basic but good. No fresh fruit. the location was good; safe area with bars and restaurants around. 15-20 mins walk to ASU.We didn't have any problem at all in our stay but I may try another place next time.
