The room smelled like feet, its near the road so its loud at night, was charged double for a security deposit. not family friendly.

This location os always clean, well maintained, staff is froendly, and roons are great. The got breakfast is such a noce amenity. Anytine we are in the area for events this is where we stay.

The staffs are friendly, trustworthy, professional, and helpful. A very well clean environment. Varieties of breakfast every morning is amazing!

Terrible night sleep. All you can hear all night is the cars speeding by and their engines reving. Bad location or they need to get sound proof windows.

This hotel is pretty amazing. The room was very comfortable, A/C unit nice and quiet. The breakfast has many options. The Costa coffee brewing machine Le were awesome. They brewed medium roast coffee exceptionally, closing decaf and hot water. If there was a nitpick, it would be the WiFi. I’m sure it was fine, but IHG requires you to log in using an email address, which I will not disclose for privacy purposes. Why can’t they just stay with room number login?

Staff was courteous, beds were great! Even though it was right next to the freeway you didn't hear the traffic. You could hear an occasional plane overhead. The parking lot was intriguing and getting out of the parking lot was a challenge depending on the time of day because the entrance was so close to the freeway off ramp.

The location was perfect for us, the cleanliness of the room was exceptional and super comfortable. This will be my go to hotel from now on. It is a 10/10 highly recommend. nothing

room was noisy due to proximity to hwy. staff was nice, parking was crowded due to 2 restaurants that share the same space. breakfast could have been a lot better, the person handling the food did not understand english and the coffee area had no half and half when we came down to breakfast.

So half of the place smelled like sewer and they know about it. Two rooms asked to be moved and they were told there is nothing. It’s crazy that they know about the sewer smelling rooms and told guests it’s old pipes but still book them out. The pool ladders last step is broken and when I told the gentleman he gave me a blank stare. I was getting coffee and the lid popped off and hit me in the hand. The same blank stare gentleman came and put it back on. Didn’t ask if I was okay and or say sorry. Staff was not welcoming at all. They acted like they were forced to be there. The cleaning crew was very nice and helpful though.

The room was nice. Staff offered bottles of water at check in which was nice. The water closet in the room had the shower too and was designed super small even for standard size folks. The side door on the 2nd level did NOT open with the room key as it was supposed to (very inconvenient when you are out there moving luggage).

The location is extremely convenient. You can easily walk to the ASU campus, and there are plenty of restaurants right next to the hotel. There’s also a Starbucks across the street, which was a nice bonus. The free breakfast was great as well. One highlight was the coffee machine, which freshly ground the beans and brewed each cup—it made the coffee taste much better than typical hotel coffee. Overall, it was a very pleasant stay, and I would definitely recommend this hotel.

Room was clean, but the bathroom was very small and there was no door to separate the bathroom sink from the rest of the room. Our elderly mother couldnt reach the soap dispensers in the shower. AC worked and temp was comfortable. Lots of noise from the highway at night. Breakfast was average. Pool was nice (could have been colder during the heat wave haha). Location is convenient for accessing ASU.

Big mistake booking this hotel on a night we needed sleep. If you love the sound of traffic or like to watch it go by 20 feet out your window then it’s great. Otherwise skip this spot.

I had a great stay at the Holiday Inn Express & Suites Phoenix - Tempe. The staff was very friendly and welcoming, which made the experience even better. My room was clean and well maintained, and I appreciated how comfortable everything felt. I also used the gym during my stay, and it was nice to see that fresh towels were readily available. Overall, I was very pleased with my stay and the level of service provided. I would definitely plan to return the next time I visit Arizona.

The hotel was very close to the airport with several restaurants in the area. The breakfast buffet was very good and had a nice variety of hot and cold food items. The coffee machine grinded the coffee beans which made the coffee taste very fresh.

The reason why I gave it a 4 and not 5 stars is because the bathroom is so tight that my husband could barely fit in and he is not such a big man. I also would not call this room a suite though it does have a separate sitting area. The highway was right outside the window so there was noise from the highway. Hotel was clean and location was good.

Not able to rate I was told when checking in that I did not have reservations. Then when I provide email confirmation, she stated my reservation was canceled by yall. I was left with 2 children with no place to stay. Found a room last min, which ended up being more expensive. We also ended up being late for spring training game that afternoon. Due to this.

A/C had an awful smell of dirty rotting feet. Not close to the venue. Holiday Inn misrepresent their selves on the location.

A very nice location where you can walk to Tempe Lake and enjoy restaurants and shops.

While we left for the airport before breakfast was served, the hotel was beautiful and clean. We picked it due to it's proximity to the airport, as it was only 15 minutes to the rental car drop off at Sky Harbor. With that said, if you choose a hotel near the airport, you have to expect to hear a plane or two!

The elevators stopped working for a while. As soon as I told the front desk, he was able to fix them. I don't eat the breakfast but there is complimentary coffee and tea available 24/7. The property was very convenient to the airport.

We appreciated the Hundred Mile brewery/restaurant located right next door to this hotel. Lots of choices for food, beer or cocktails, and their Happy Hour prices were very reasonable!

The pool/hot tub do not look like pictures. The umbrellas were broken, the pool had cigarette buds at the bottom and there were trash around pool left behind by other guest. There was no trash cans by pool. Also the rooms are very compact especially the restroom. To use the bathroom or shower you have to maneuver a certain way into restroom just so you can close the door.

Long wait to check in and check out, staff were not friendly. The room was very small, bathroom not even big enough for a small trash can, not ideal for a large person. The room and breakfast were average. If you were attending an ASU game, I could see staying at this hotel to be near campus. I wish we would have looked at somewhere near Scottsdale. It would’ve been a lot better trip.

Staff was nice and the location is convenient. Those are the only two good things. The room smelled terrible and so did the hallways. The bathroom had two almost empty toilet rolls. The breakfast was gross. The pancakes would’ve probably been fine but the bag wasn’t refilled in the entire time I was there. The orange juice wasn’t orange juice.

It would be great if there was better pancakes made, an automated machine made them but they weren't that great. The room was very humid, we couldn't open the window to let some fresh air come in. The shower had a water leak on the base where you go in and out of it, had to use towels just to keep the floor dry.

The room was clean. The hotel was very conveniently located. The staff was friendly.

Room was clean and comfortable and mostly quiet. We were on the side near the 202 so we could hear traffic in evening and morning, but it wasn't bad. Breakfast was included and we were a nice walk away from activities at ASU - went to a basketball game and football game during our stay.

Was disappointed that we showed up at 3pm and our room was not ready. We were exhausted and just wanted to sleep so we took the double queens but really wanted the king we ordered. We only had a few hours to sleep before we had an event that evening so we couldn't wait the 30+45 min before our room was ready. No discount was offered :/

The only issue is that we faced the freeway, at at times at night it seemed like we were at NASCAR, but somehow we slept through it. We would stay there again but request a room on the front of the building.

4th floor has water damage from roof leaking, some gym equipment affected as a result. Hallway bathrooms on first floor are locked and cannot be unlocked with room key.

Staff was fantastic and hotel was updated and clean but the hotel is close to highway and the noise in middle of night was awful.

I was told my $150 deposit would be returned to my card when I left. Don't have 3 days later.

The hotel was clean, didn’t have much time to check out the amenities. The staff was super helpful and friendly. I checked out before 5 am and front desk clerk asked if she could grab me a piece of fruit or danish since breakfast wasn’t available. We travel a lot. This is something a hotel has never asked and it stuck out in my mind. I didn’t get the clerk's name but wished I would have. Also, I am very thankful you have fresh coffee readily available 24/7!!! Total gamechanger!

Had a bad experience with a guest knocking on my door, made front desk aware that thia guest was disturbing is on the second floor especially my room 223, but nothing was noted. Made next shift aware and still incorrect i formation was noted. I alao have pictures and videos of bathroom issue that I could not rport sin e your staff would not take any action to fix and address. Brought this information to morning clerk qhen che king and same action of no response all arou d. This location has go e doqn in a spa. of 2 years. Horrible experience.

The ac did not cool the room down wnough we were to warm the whole time. The pricing was off. When booking the hotel it said pay when i get there but it took the first nights deposit several days before, then i didnt see anything about a $150 deposit till the day i was driving there. I called several days in advance to tell them i was showing up same day but later and was told to call the day of and explain this again. The internet for our system did not work also. I wont be staying here again.

The hotel was clean and the staff was friendly. Our tv was stuck on a different language. The staff couldn't help so they moved us to another room. The AC unit was a bit noisy from a rattle, but it seemed like more of white noise which would block out the airplanes and motorcycles racing up and down the street (which is by no means the hotel's fault).

Overall it was nice but during check in was treated different previous customer’s (non minorities) stayed the same length and were charged a one time deposit of $50 but as for I was charged $50 for each day of my stay. Was previously employed with IHG and do understand it’s a one time charge for third parties check in process. Besides the individual who assisted my check in, property was clean and the staff was nice and helpful.

When I checked in, the room I reserved was not the room I was given. I reserved a double queen room and instead was given a single king room. I was traveling with 2 kids, so imagine my disgust when I only saw one bed. Thankfully the front desk helped to move me to a sister hotel about 10 minutes away that I was told, did have a double queen available. Well, when we got to that hotel, again I was given a single king suite. Nothing to do but suck it up and we had to have to kids sleep on a pull-out couch. Not the double bed we expected, but better than the half chair they gave us at the first hotel. Well next day I called back to the original hotel and they were able to give us an actual double queen room as originally reserved. Worst two-night stay of my life as we had to unpack, pack, unpack, pack and unpack our luggage so that we could stay in Tempe. Thanks for almost ruining our staycation weekend!

Road noise was pretty rugged. Our room was up against the Hwy off ramp. Room was nice, breakfast was good with plenty of protien and other option.

When we arrived, the room we ordered was taken. Then they assigned us a different room that was already occupied. She did finally find us another room, after she told us they were sold out.

We have stayed at this property many times. It is convenient to the freeway and events. I always request a room on the side away from the freeway as it can be noisy. They gave me a room as requested but next time I will know to ask for one further away from the street as we were in the room closest to the street and the noise kept waking me up. My fault for not being more specific. Otherwise an excellent stay again

But my biggest annoyance was actually that they weren't flexible at all with changes. I booked the room for 3 nights and I wanted to shift my stay up by 2 days due to a personal emergency and they wouldn't refund me any of the money which is just ridiculous when I had given plenty of notice. I was still going to be staying for the same amount of nights and pay the difference in cost per night if there was any, but they wouldn't budge. So I paid for 2 nights I didn't use. I would have been a loyal customer if they had let me shift dates as I'll be traveling there a lot for work, but now I'll be staying at Aloft since it's close to the same cost and they have more flexibility on changes.

The side of the hotel that is on the highway side was very noisy for us the first night. Once we switched to the other side of the hotel all was good. The hotel and room itself are very nice and clean. The morning breakfast was good too especially over the weekend.
